My Top 10 Fictional Guys' HC's

I didn’t know where or who to start with writing, sooo here’s my personal top boyos! Instead of giving my personal reasonings, I’m giving headcanons for each! This took me way too long to do. uvu Man there's gonna be one heck of a tag list pfff-

#1 Mirio Togata (My Hero Academia)

♡ When He Likes You: Mirio knew he’d like you, but he didn’t expect to like you this much. It’s kind of hard to tell that he does because he’s pretty friendly with everybody, but his friends notice that his smiles are a little bigger and he seems a little more excitable when you’re around, not to mention that hint of blush on his cheeks. He’ll use his quirk and act a little goofier than usual just to hear you laugh and see your smile. He even goes out of his way to spend what little free time he has with you because he enjoys being around you that much.

♡ Asking You Out: It happens on a random day almost out of nowhere. Mirio’s been thinking about asking you out for a couple days now trying to think of the best way to approach you about it without making you feel uncomfortable or forced to say yes. He really wants to make sure if you do say yes, it’s 100% your choice. But after all the thinking it just feels off for him not to be direct, so he just casually asks you one day when there’s a break in the conversation: “Hey, would you wanna go out sometime? Like on a date. You don’t have to say yes or answer right away if you wanna think about it, either way is fine with me. I just think you’re pretty cool.” When you say yes, he has the biggest smile on his face as he grabs your hand and tells you he’ll come up with the best date ever.

♡ 3 Dating HC’s: 

♡ If you’re ok with physical affection, this man has plenty to provide. Mirio will always interlock your fingers and hold your hand wherever you go. He gives the most AMAZINGLY warm hugs that make you feel like nothing could ever hurt you with him around. Forehead and head kisses are his way of showing his utmost affection for you especially when you’re cuddling together. If you happen to return said affections, he melts and returns it again ten fold. ♡ Whenever you’re feeling ill, in pain, or just feeling down in general, this man is on it. Need medicine? A heating pad? Good warm food? Comfort foods and soft warm blankets? Just ask and he’ll go get it or make it no question. Even when you’re sick he’ll hold you and make sure you’re able to fall asleep. He’s very attentive and wants to make sure you’re feeling your best or as comfortable as possible. ♡ One of his favorite things to do is share food with you. There’s something sort of intimate about sharing food that really makes him feel like a couple with you. He also finds amusement in the way you eat, but also this gives him a chance to not only feed you food, but for you to feed him food as well. While he enjoys feeding each other in a classic couple-like fashion, sometimes you two will opt to be silly about it and make funny noises while you do it or straight up miss each other’s mouths on purpose.

#2 Kagami Taiga (Kuroko no Basket)

♡ When He Likes You: Kagami’s a complete dork around you. He’ll try to impress you with his basketball skills and occasionally it’ll work, but sometimes he’s so focused on looking cool that he doesn’t pay attention and ends up tripping over something or running into his teammates. When it comes to one on one interaction with you, he‘s pretty blunt about his curiosities about you since he’s too impatient to have any tact with a conversation. Despite his rough behavior with most people, he’ll be his own version of polite and respectful with you and keep his more fiery side in check when you’re around.

♡ Asking You Out: You’d think Kagami would just straight up ask you, and he does, but you have to ask him to repeat himself because he either stutters the whole question or says it too quietly to hear. At one point even he gets fed up with himself so he sighs and finally asks you clear as day. “Will you go out with me? On a date?” He chokes on air when you actually say yes and then cheers and punches the air in celebration. You also think you hear distant cheering somewhere you can't see that totally isn't his teammates.

♡ 3 Dating HC’s: 

♡ If anybody gets a little too friendly or flirty with you, Kagami steps in instantly glaring them down. He won’t even say anything, he’s just scary enough to send people running. God forbid anyone try to put their hands on you without your consent, he won’t hesitate to deck them and full on FIGHT. ♡ One of Kagami’s favorite activities to do with you is to cook together because he didn’t get many opportunities to do stuff like this with his own family. If you don’t know how to cook he’s happy to teach you and surprisingly patient with you (it really baffles his friends and people that know him, it’s like his hot headed side shuts off when interacting with you). He’s a little more iffy with baking, so if you know how to bake he’s eager to learn. If neither of you know how to bake, it’ll probably be a bit of a hilarious disaster that's still fun for you two. ♡ When you guys sleep in bed together he likes to be the big spoon because you’re quite comfortable and the perfect hugging size for him. Even if you guys fall asleep separately somehow he’ll still end up wrapping around you in his sleep in some way.

#3 Sebastian (Stardew Valley)

♡ When He Likes You: You can hardly tell that Sebastian likes you since he’s a pretty closed off person, so it’s the subtle things that give him away. Despite his loner tendencies, he lets you hang around even when you stumble upon him having alone time. He’s not much for conversation, but he’ll genuinely ask you how your day was or how you’ve been, maybe even ask about farm life and your interests. But every now and then you’ll catch him off guard with something you say and he’ll let a smile slip or a small chuckle followed by a look of appreciation for your presence.

♡ Asking You Out: Sebastian wants to ask you out, but to be honest he doesn’t really know how so he’s been putting it off until one particular day. You two are exploring the mines together since you know your way around pretty well and he wants to see if he can get a Frozen Tear for himself. When you two finally find one, you get swarmed by frost bats. Sebastian grabs your hand and you two make a run for it. When you’re finally outside the cave, you two are laughing in disbelief and then there’s a pause before he suddenly asks you out. You say yes and he can’t hide the excitement on his face. “Cool. Maybe we could go see the city on my motorcycle some time.”

♡ 3 Dating HC’s: 

♡ Sebastian ends up getting pretty invested in your lifestyle so he tends to help out on his days off. He likes to tend to the animals (and slimes if you have them). If you need any mine resources he’s totally down to go with you and ends up being your cover from monsters while you mine. Any other activity that involves exploring or going to strange places, he’s your right-hand companion to make sure you come back safe and also feed his own wanderlust he didn’t quite know he had. ♡ After a long or particularly rough day the two of you go to the Spa together to relax in the hot spring. If your muscles are aching Sebastian doesn’t mind massaging them for you as long as you return the favor. On the occasion that you guys might get bored while sitting there, your relaxation will turn into a little splash fight. ♡ It catches you off guard at first, but Sebastian will sometimes suddenly express how grateful he is to have met you and how lucky he is to get to date you. He always felt like the odd one out in this town finding it hard to really connect with anybody and his life felt pretty stagnant, which is why he wanted to move to the city in the first place. But now that he’s met you, he’s grown a lot more optimistic about his future and he smiles a lot more than he used to. He never wants to take all that for granted so he makes sure to let you know that.

#4 Rin Matsuoka (Free!)

♡ When He Likes You: Rin doesn’t want you to know it so much he hardly wants to admit it to himself. He’ll act pretty irritable with you due to this, but if he sees he’s upsetting you with his attitude he’ll instantly drop it and try to cheer you up. As you get to know each other more though he starts to really open up and relax, even playfully teasing you and giving you sass to draw out a reaction from you.

♡ Asking You Out: Rin’s pretty troubled at first because he feels like asking you out would cause things to be awkward if you say no, but he can’t deny his feelings for you any longer. So he seeks you out one day looking rather irritated (as a tsundere does) and at first you think you’re in trouble for something. “Oi! I need to ask you something. Would you…go on a date with me? It’s fine if you say no, you can just forget I asked or whatever…” But you say yes and he’s shocked, but grins and has the gall to tease you about liking him back.

♡ 3 Dating HC’s: 

♡ First and foremost, Rin wants to swim with you. If you don’t know how to swim, he’ll definitely teach you. But if you’re not too keen on learning how, he’s ok with just spending time in the water with you. He’ll even push you around on a floatie or hold you and slowly pull you around. If you’re on a floatie he loves diving and jumping out at you like a shark. ♡ Despite how active he is, one of his favorite things to do with you is chill at your place or his (or both if you guys live together). There’s nothing he likes more than to just lazily cuddle up on the couch or bed with you. If you like music, he’s all for laying there and sharing your music tastes or new songs you found with each other. If you wanna watch any shows or movies, he’s ready to attempt getting invested, although even if he’s not interested he’ll still hang around. If you guys are bored and have nothing else to do, he’ll suggest building a blanket fort and of course there will be snacks and drinks to be had in it for a job well done. ♡ Rin doesn’t outright admit it, but he likes when you play with his hair. He finds it relaxing to feel your fingertips on his scalp or your fingers run through his hair, so he tends to lay his head on you a lot to prompt you. He’ll even let you braid his hair or style it however you want.

#5 Aki Hayakawa (Chainsaw Man)

♡ When He Likes You: Aki can be hard to read sometimes, but his aloof nature cracks when it comes to you. He’s very protective of you and always wants to make sure you’re safe (and not bothered by people unworthy of your presence). You can hardly tell when he’s particularly happy or excited, but when you offer (or accept his offer) to hang out you manage to get a small blush and eager smile out of him. He's also the type to check himself in the mirror and straighten out his clothes before he goes to see you. He always wants to look his best around you.

♡ Asking You Out: Aki’s actually kind of nervous about it and has to hype himself up a bit to ask you. He plans a specific day and specific time to ask you to get a coffee/drink of your choice with him framed as a casual hangout. However, his fellow co-workers manage to stumble upon you two and ruin the moment consistently every time he tries to pop the question. In a built up fit of frustration, he slams a table and blurts out, “Would you go away already?! I’m trying to ask them out!” He goes red as he realizes what he said. After a moment of silence, you pipe up that you would in fact like to go out with him. He’s thrilled of course, but the amount of torturous teasing he gets from everybody afterwards is almost unbearable.

♡ 3 Dating HC’s: 

♡ It takes Aki a bit to get used to physical affection if you’re into that. He’s kind of shy about it so you’d probably have to initiate, but once he gets more comfortable he more so offers affection rather than outright giving it to you. He’ll open his arms for you to step into the hug or he’ll hold out his hand for you to take, things like that. ♡ Aki’s the type to pay a lot more attention to you than you think. Have you been coughing lately? He’s got cough drops on hand. You mentioned you ran out of your favorite snack? He happened to buy extra you can have. Are you sweating a lot? He’s got a small fan for you to use and knows an air conditioned place nearby with drinks. His gifts to you are also pretty top notch because he remembers a lot about your conversations and interests. ♡ While Aki is more used to tending to others, he likes it if you make a bit of a fuss over him even if he says he’s fine. It makes his heart flutter when you worry about any sustained injuries he has or if you’re concerned about his lack of sleep because it’s been awhile since someone’s really cared about him like that. He’s an incredibly efficient workaholic and usually pretty good with keeping up basic self-care, but sometimes when he’s having a hard time he can falter in those aspects. If you happen to catch him when he’s emotionally vulnerable and comfort him with a hug or hand hold, he unravels pretty quick but that’s when he knows he’s truly found a treasure.

#6 Masato Hijirikawa (Uta no Prince-sama)

♡ When He Likes You: Masato’s caught off guard by his feelings for you and doesn’t know how to handle them, which can cause some jealous and protective outbursts at times. When he’s not guarding you though he’s very sweet and a total gentleman. However, his usually aloof personality breaks if you two make physical contact. If you try to hug him he’ll look like he’s ready to combust on the spot.

♡ Asking You Out: Even though he’s nervous, Masato wants to make the experience romantic. He’ll ask you to meet him somewhere private yet beautiful (like a botanical garden) and have flowers in hand when you come to meet him. As he presents them to you, he’s blushing with a determined look in his eyes. “Would you do me the pleasure of going on a date with me?” When you say yes he smiles affectionately and gently takes your hands, bowing until his forehead meets them. “Thank you. I will do my best to take care of you.”

♡ 3 Dating HC’s: 

♡ Physical affection isn’t Masato’s strong suit so he doesn’t dish it out often, but that makes his displays that much more meaningful. He considers physical affection to be very intimate so he prefers not to do it in public, though he is ok if you wish to give him small kisses and hugs. Hand holding is ok too, but he prefers you two to link arms. It’s his personal exception for being closer to you. ♡ Despite Masato being on the more reserved side, he likes to take you out to one of those private karaoke rooms because he may or may not want to show off his singing skills while also serenading you. He’ll even bust out the boy band moves for you! Regardless of whether you’re good at singing or not, he encourages you to try too just for the fun of it and will use whatever little instruments they have in there to cheer you on. ♡ Masato’s not too keen on trying new or different things that might appear unseemly for someone like him due to his upbringing, but his inhibitions relax if you’re involved. It’s actually pretty amusing for you to have him try things and see his reactions. You find out that he can get pretty competitive while playing video games as he has little childish outbursts of amazement and frustration. He takes watching cartoons a little too seriously and actually gets emotionally invested. And at first he’s hesitant about trying adult coloring books, but soon enough it’s one of his favorite ways to relax and he’s pretty good at it.

#7 Zen/Hyun Ryu (Mystic Messenger)

♡ When He Likes You: Zen flirts with you. Constantly and with zero shame at all times, there’s no way you don’t know he’s into you. At first it might seem like a shallow attraction, but once he really starts to get to know you he’ll start to point out things he really likes about you like little habits he finds cute or your laugh or how excited you get when you talk about your interests. He’s positively smitten with you but he will respect your boundaries if you tell him he’s overdoing it.

♡ Asking You Out: Technically Zen’s already asked you a handful of times, but you never took them seriously and brushed it off as playful flirting. Unknown to you Zen has been genuinely serious, so when you wave off his attempt once again he’s pretty disappointed and he gets uncharacteristically meek. “Oh ok, I get it. You’re not interested…” You stop him and ask if he actually meant what he said to which he responds of course, he’s been flirting with you for weeks! But you both apologize for the misunderstanding and when you finally accept, he’s so excited he almost wants to go on the date right that second. “Should we go right now? I know a lovely restaurant nearby. What do you mean you want to get ready first? Ah I get it, my cutie wants to look their best. Then let’s go out later and I’ll make sure I look my best too <3”

♡ 3 Dating HC’s:  

♡ Zen wants to show you off to everybody and will gush over you to anybody who will listen to an embarrassing (and perhaps exhausting for others) extent. Anybody that tries to flirt with him is immediately shut down with your picture in their face and how lucky he is to have you. That one Will Smith meme where he’s got his hands out presenting his wife (or whatever, idk his life lol), that’s Zen. He couldn’t be more proud of having you as his significant other. In his eyes there couldn’t be a better couple than you two. ♡ He loves going out with you and spoiling you wherever you two go, but his favorite thing is when you two go out at night. Seeing all the city lights or just seeing the starry sky takes him back to one of his favorite moments with you that he’ll always cherish. He’ll grab your hand and rub his thumb over the back with reverence and smile at you as he pulls you closer as you two walk. ♡ Zen gets excited at the thought of being domestic with you, so when you two start dating he wants to do all the things: cook together, clean together, grocery shopping, sleeping together, do some skin care together, exercise together if you’re into that, maybe even get a pet or plant child to take care of together. Even if you simply need to run some errands he’s more than happy to go with you and help out where needed.

#8 Brett Hand (Inside Job)

♡ When He Likes You: You catch Brett’s curiosity right away and he’ll chat you up to try to find out all about you. This might be an issue if you’re not much of a talker, to which he might have to ask Reagan for advice with getting closer with you. Once you two are fairly acquainted he’ll definitely want to hang out more and will always check in with you to make sure you’re doing ok. Eventually you’ll start to notice that his usually smooth conversation skills start to fail him when talking to you and he’ll start to stutter and stumble over his words if he’s not already blurting out embarrassing things by accident.

♡ Asking You Out: Brett is a wRECK. He usually isn’t this nervous about dates, but he’s never liked someone this much before and he doesn’t want to mess this up. It doesn’t help that he gets flustered around you. He even asks his co-workers/buddies for help and advice, but their suggestions were pretty intense and some not all that legal. So he settles for the old fashioned way of just asking you. Brett tries to approach you smoothly, but ends up tripping and falling. After you try not to laugh and help him up, he tries to drum up some small talk and compliment something normal about you, but it’s kind of awkward. So he takes a deep breath and just goes for it, closing his eyes afterwards to brace for the answer. And you say yes. “Wha- Really? Oh wow, uh, thank you? No Brett that’s stupid…um, I mean, great! Is there anything you want to do or anywhere you wanna go? I’m down for anything!”

♡ 3 Dating HC’s: 

♡ Brett’s kind of a rom-com guy, so in kind he does a lot of very cheesy and cliché things except he tends to mess them up. Setting up a romantic candlelit dinner? Something (probably him) catches on fire. Sharing a kiss in the rain? He slips and accidentally headbutts you. Bringing you flowers? Somehow they get destroyed on the way to you. But even when things go wrong, you two find a way to make it better. From laughing over the incident as you tend to any injuries and clean up, taking turns drying each other’s hair and snuggling up with warm drinks, to using the surviving petals as romantic and fragrant decoration. It seems like nothing can truly deter your relationship. ♡ Due to his work, Brett’s very nervous about your wellbeing. If you’re not involved with what his job does, he tries to make sure you stay far, far away from it so that you stay safe and don’t end up mysteriously disappearing. If you happened to be a co-worker that he started dating, he’ll check in with you frequently to get you food and drinks and also let you vent about work since he knows working for Cognito can be rather stressful. ♡ Since his family sucks to a high degree, he takes spending time with you and all celebrations with you quite seriously. He will go all out for your birthday especially. If you’re ok with parties, he’ll throw you the best one according to your preferences. Either way his one requirement is to have a dance with you. Whether it be high energy, go crazy dancing or a slow and romantic dance, he’s happy to be close to you.

#9 Kanji Tatsumi (Persona 4) 

♡ When He Likes You: Kanji blushes just from thinking about you, much more looking at you. He tries to cover it up by looking even meaner than usual but his friends know better and tease him endlessly about it. He’s pretty bashful around you and has a hard time making eye contact. If you’re receptive to him, he’ll gift you handmade keychains and plushies of your favorite animals or things you’re interested in. If you’re still wary of him, he’ll try his best not to seem so imposing around you by lowering himself if he’s taller than you, keeping his hands in his pockets, and practicing smiling more though that part might backfire from how much he forces it.

♡ Asking You Out: There were a couple failed attempts before he finally just goes for it. There’s not really much of a set up for it to be honest because his friends force the situation on him when they all plan a way to get you two alone. There’s a briefly awkward exchange between you two when he suddenly just blurts out asking if you would go on a date with him followed up by an apology. “I know I’m not as good looking as some other guys and I don’t exactly look like someone you wanna take home to your parents ya know, so I get it if you say no. No hard feelings or nothin.” So he’s taken aback to say the least when he hears you say yes. He even asks if you’re sure and once you reassure him you mean it, he does a little cheer before clearing his throat and saying, “Cool, cool. It’s a date then.”

♡ 3 Dating HC’s:  

♡ Kanji really loosens up after you two start dating and lets his more dorky side come out since you make him comfortable to be himself. He scowls a lot less and tends to smile more genuinely especially when you’re around. Make no mistake though, even though he’s friendlier he’s still willing to intimidate and throw hands if anybody tries to mess with you. ♡ You tried on Kanji’s clothes once for the sake of impersonating him as a joke, but it turns out he was really into it. He thought it was really cute. So he doesn’t mind if you steal any of his clothes for pajamas and will offer his jacket to you if he sees you shiver even the tiniest bit. ♡ When you guys are having a more chill day inside sometimes you two pick out crafts to try together. Kanji is pretty handy with sewing so he has no problem learning or leading the way with crafts around that department if you’re not knowledgeable of them. You two will usually make a matching pair of whatever craft you’re doing and Kanji will proudly display your guys’ crafts in his room.

#10 David (Camp Camp)

♡ When He Likes You: David’s sort of obvious and cliché since he’s usually a pretty open person. He’ll blush around you, give longing looks while you’re not looking, and give you compliments over seemingly minor things. His affections are even more obvious when you’re brought up in conversations with others because he’ll start rambling about how much he admires you and how amazing he thinks you are.

♡ Asking You Out: There’s a big camp bonfire coming up so David decides it’s a perfect time to ask you out. What’s more romantic than making smores by the fire under a starry sky? Unfortunately for him, nothing ever goes as planned in Camp Camp. Some camp kids start throwing melted chocolate and marshmallows at each other, others are throwing random things into the fire to see what burns, and amidst the chaos David briefly catches on fire himself. After the fires are safely put out and everyone’s returned to their cabins, you take David to dress his burns. Deciding that he’s got nothing to lose at this point, he finally asks you out on a date to which you accept. He can’t believe it, but he’ll take it. “As much as I love these kids, I’m definitely making sure Gwen watches them when I take you out.”

♡ 3 Dating HC’s: 

♡ As disastrous as the confession was, David wants to make up for it by taking you out to a campfire minus the kids this time. The stars are beautiful, the smores are delicious, and he has a surprise for you as he takes out his guitar. At first you expect a campfire song, but instead he has a sweet and tender love song he wrote to sing to you. Afterwards you two share a kiss and cuddle next to the fire. ♡ You two plant a tree together and it becomes your plant child. The type of tree and name is up to you, but you two go all out with its care giving it the best quality soil and water, decorating it around holidays or just for fun to make it cuter, and talking to it like it’s your guys’ actual child. David couldn’t be a prouder plant daddy. ♡ David doesn’t seem the type, but he can get pretty jealous if he sees anybody showing more than friendly interest in you especially if the person seems tougher or more masculine than him due to previous relationships. He’ll end up inserting himself into the conversation feigning friendliness and wrap an arm around you while standing as tall as he can to make things clear you’re unavailable. He might seem like a pushover, but when it comes to you he won’t back down for any reason.

Adopting a Pupper with Masato

Masato is quite clever and good at taking hints, but he didn't need any of those skills to be able to tell you would like to be a dog owner. You enjoyed sending him cute pictures and videos of all sorts of dogs very regularly. Dogs always seemed to bring a smile to your face, and that truly warmed his heart no matter what.

Masa wouldn't just decide to adopt a dog with you on a whim, so once the two of you had finally even made up your mind to do so you already both had done a ton of research into dogs. Masa didn't want a very messy dog, so long-haired crazy shedding dogs were off the table. He also didn't want a dog that was too big, and it should have a calmer temperament as to not disturb him all the time.

The two of you decided on rules and how to strictly keep to them, like it not being allowed on the sofa! However, despite Masa being so insistent on all these rules? Masato is the one to break them the most! He grumbles a little to himself when confronted about it, while putting the dog back on the floor after being discovered cuddling with it on the sofa. The dog seems to have a soothing effect on him and the two rapidly grow closer. In the very end, Masato's excuse for not being strict on the dog as originally planned is that whenever he looks into those sweet, hopeful eyes, he really can't stay mad for long.

The dog ends up still being trained fairly well, still acting as a guarding dog and knows the most important commands. The dog is usually very gentle with other dogs too, also proving a great mentor for other pups.

Eventually these two become best friends, the dog helps Masa concentrate while composing or playing the piano, or doing calligraphy or sewing. He really is the type that was more hesitant to get a dog in the first place, but ends up falling the hardest for the dog. <3

You are slow in taking a seat on the piano bench. There's a piece of music in front of you titled Happy Birthday in beautiful handwriting. You notice its penmanship, loopy and filled with excellently finished flicks. Dutifully practiced calligraphy. Under the title, you laugh a little at the parenthesis (Good-morning to Masato).

Watch caught your eye when you first entered the room was the perfectly placed present stationed on the piano lid. It is a soft midnight blue, the colour of your eyes, fitted with a bow that is white decorated with translucent snowflakes that shine in the light when you move.

With a tender hand, you remove the lid from the present, both hands coming to pick up the contents inside. It's a tiny doll, so small it only fits in the palm of your hand, the length spanning from the inside of your wrist to the knuckles before your nails being.

It's you. Or well, it's you in the form of a doll. Crocheted and made together with the utmost care. The shade of his hair and his eyes are so exact he marvels at the grandness of it. They even remembered your mole, a part of you some people forget. The doll is wearing the Saotome Academy uniform, tailored to fit the doll's body. The details of the emblem badge on the doll's breast has you running a soft thumb over it in awe.

You squeeze the doll's body just a little, releasing in the softness of it all. Eye's rising upward you peak a note in the bottom of the present, taking it out to inspect it. Deep blue eyes begin to water, even so you are careful to not get the letter in your hand nor the doll held in the other wet at any cost.

Dear Masato,

Thank you for all your lessons on how to crochet. I actually started so I could create something for you, so really I was using you in a sense, so I apologize... I've seen how happy Mai-chan is when you embroider cute little rabbits and adorable puppies on handkerchiefs for her. I wanted to do it for you to, but decided I wanted to crochet a doll together as something you could hold on to it and look at it fondly.

Is it odd to snuggle up to a doll that is a replica of yourself? Maybe it is... I know it would be even weirder if it was a doll in my image. That would be ridiculous of me to do that, wouldn't it have?

I've come to realize that I don't feel right. Right about you, or well I mean not the way you would like. I like you as more than just idol and idol. Our relationship is more than just that to me. I think I've come to love you in the way our songs convey. Me saying this changes everything, but it doesn't have to. Just knowing how you feel on your end will make me come to terms and either move on or move forward with you. So to just get it all out there before I crumble another paper for the 8th time in just the last hour...

You lowered the letter onto your lap, shiny eyes gazing at the doll in your hand once again. They had indeed asked for lessons on how to crochet. With your help they had learned quickly, creating small animals with the height of someone's pinky to even bigger. The time you spent with them was the happiest you'd ever been. Having them there to talk to you and take what you loved to create something new.

Too soon though there was nothing left to teach and you had to watch as the scheduled times you spent together were now empty. Gone were the appointments with them on your personal calendar. Weeks of time alone, just with them. You were left without their voice and without their insightful input when conversing together on meaningless topics. As their hands became more skilled with every day that passed the more anxious you become. The day did come when you heard them say they didn't need any more lessons.

Now you knew why. Why they asked how to create semi-accurate figured dolls with tailored clothes. You hadn't gotten to witness them make a doll at all, because it was right here. Their hard work and dedication all in this little doll for your birthday. So much time was spent on a present that they weren't even sure you would like. So much time spent rewriting a letter that revealed pure and simply their feelings for you that could either be crushed or lifted with the awaited response.

Folding the letter back up to pack it inside the present once more you clutch the doll tight to your chest. You flee the music room on a mission. The sun has barely set, you just pray they haven't retired to their room yet.

You have something to tell them. Something you've been holding in since you first laid eyes on them, the first time you heard them sing, and the first time you were granted the pleasure of having a duet with them.

There they were, walking unaware to their dorm.

Their fingers sliding across yours as you grab their hand is something incredible. The way they turn around eye's alight, mouth parted open in exclamation. You want those eyes to always look at you. You want to feel those lips on yours.

You have to tell them how you feel. Tell them how you, Masato Hijirikawa feel.

They see who you are, they see what you hold close to your chest. The blush sprinkling their face has time stopping as you muster up all the courage within you.

He was busy that he didn't notice you sleeping late, waking up early and skipping meals. It was only after his work died down that he noticed you were tired and weren't your usual self.

You had to admit yourself you were overworking yourself. You didn't know if Otoya noticed, but you were timid; you didn't want to bother him. You knew he was busy this week as well so you could probably get away with it.

Oh you were so wrong.

About the fourth day of your overworking streak, Otoya burst into the room with a blanket.

"YN! STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING RIGHT NOW!" He yelled. You were confused. He wrapped you around and swaddled you with the blanket.

You squeaked as he wrapped his arms around you. Your face reddened immediately as he picked you up and placed you on the bed. He was directly looking at you, which did not help with your blushing.

"YN-chan... you're so cute when you blush," He said, brushing a lock of hair out of your face. "There's my girl. So cute... No one should see you like this except me..."

"O-Otoya?"

"You've been overworking. I noticed," He said.

"Ah... so you did," You replied. "But I have to finish it by this weeー"

"No," He protested, hugging you closer. "I'm gonna have a word with your manager about this... No one should make my YN-chan tired ever."

"I didn't want to bother you," You said. "You were busy too and Iー"

He laughed. "You know you can ask me anything right?"

You nodded. "Otoya?"

"Hmm?"

"Thank you for taking care of me." You pecked him on the cheek.

He buried his face against your neck. His face was as red as his hair. "You really are too cute..."

Overworking does not exist in your relationship. He does not condone it. You ー sadly ー learnt that the hard way.

You had a tough schedule ahead of you. Basketball meets, friendly matches and the winter season in two weeks. This caused you to come to practices early and stay longer after the team has left.

As the team's star point guard, you had to do your best. You wanted to make your team proud especially after last season. There were many blows, and now you had to train to overcome every single one of them.

You were watching hours and hours of past matches; including ones that weren't played against your team; analysing every player. You were concentrating hard until someone picked up your laptop away from you.

"W-Wait..."

"YN! Rest. Now. I don't want you to overwork yourself," He scolded you.

You protested, reaching for your laptop. "Masa... Stop being a bully!"

He reddened at the nickname. "Stop being stubborn and rest YN," He retorted.

He covered you in sheets and pulled it to your chin. Starting to feel comfortable, you nuzzle your head into the pillow.

"Do you need me to bring you anything?" He asked.

"Mmm... Maybe some water would be nice."

"Alright," He said gently, brushing your hair out of your face. "Get some rest YN."

Natsuki Shinomiya

Your uncle's bakery had gotten popular after a STARISH fan posted about the members eating at the bakery. You still carried on baking, as they didn't disturb your business.

You were secretly glad at the free publicity, but things had gotten a little hectic lately. You had to admit, it was exhausting.

Natsuki got worried about you, feeling as if it were his fault that the fans swarmed the shop. He'd finally managed to visit you after a busy day.

He was a sweet boy, helping you tidy up the cafe. He wore a disguise as to not inconvenience you.

You were wiping the tables, your eyes drowsy from the lack of sleep. You slipped on the recently mopped floor, crashing into table.

Natsuki immediately rushed to you and held you by your torso, making sure you didn't fall. "YN! Are you alright?" He carried you to a chair. "YN-chan... You look very sleepy..."

You shook your head, leaning into his chest. Right on cue, your uncle walked in. He simply stared at this blonde-haired man holding you in his arms. He didn't assume the worse, but he was still wary. "Please take her upstairs to sleep on the couch and then leave."

"H-HAI!"

Ren Jinguji

You'd been staying up late often to study as you were away from school. Your parents had called and reminded you to still study even though you were away.

You had also reviewed each of your games and nit-picked every single flaw you found, since you had to keep up your game. You kept writing in your notebook, making little markings of possible room for moves.

Ren had noticed you agonising over the past few hours. "My dear lady, I think you should rest," He said, holding your hand and stopping you from writing.

You blinked, rubbing your eyes. "Maybe I should. Iー"

"My fairy, please make sure your rest is not simply sleeping on your desk. Rest on the bed," He said, shutting your book.

"Why do you care about my well-being so much?" You tiredly whine.

"Because you are my fairy and I love you. Now rest, YN."

Cecil Aijima

Late night practices often left you weary for most days. You had been extremely tired from all the rehearsals. You hadn’t seen Cecil since you were so busy. You had gone to the twins for another fitting.

“YN?”

You had accidentally fallen asleep in the dressing room.

“Oh no…”

Shuu had gone and called Cecil since the twins were too busy to take you to your dorm. Cecil came… and he panicked.

“YN!” He picked you up and shook you awake.

“Cecil? What are you doing?” You said sleepily, rubbing your eyes as you yawned drowsily. You didn’t have time to take in your surroundings, so you decided to go back to sleep. “Hmm… Whatever is it… I don’t care. Just let me sleep.”

“YN! Don’t sleep! I need to carry you back!”

Syo Kurusu

You had been overworked after the festival the shrine hosted. Syo couldn’t physically contact you after as he as well was busy with his own work.

At night however, he had spent time to call you. “YN… You know you don’t have to work so hard… Everything will turn out fine.”

“I’m worried though…” You said.

“I’m pretty sure everyone at the shrine would be worried about their favourite shrine maiden fainting,” Syo sighed.

“I will rest Syo, don’t worry. I just have trouble sleeping…” You admitted.

“How about I sing a song for you?”

“That would be nice,” You said. You adored his singing, no matter the situation. You were in a sense, his number one fan. His voice always seemed to calm you down.

Syo began humming lowly, starting the song slow but melodious. He sang sweetly, in a tone that he wouldn’t share with anyone but you.

“YN?” He called out. He heard your soft breathing, indicating that you had fallen asleep. He smiled to himself.

“Good night YN. Sweet dreams.”

Tokiya Ichinose

You had invited Tokiya over to your dorm to see you work on your manga. He had noticed that you were a little weary from class, so he simply followed you back to look after you.

He had to admit that he was curious and excited to witness your writing. As one of your big fans, this was a huge opportunity for him.

You brought Tokiya to your manga room and allowed him to do some work. You gave him the simple task of erasing fine lines. He quietly did his work, observing you from afar.

He watched you at your desk, working passionately as you swiftly created your manga. You put your head down on your desk to clear your head and eventually you fell asleep.

Tokiya saw you resting your head and decided to move you to your bed.

“Honestly… YN… I told you not to overwork yourself…” He tucked you into bed and kissed your forehead lovingly.

The girl nudged his shoulder, a rougher this time but she hadn’t move her eyes from the couple either,

 “You can tell me, I doubt anyone going to hear you with the guests being this loud.” her tone was questioning and Ren turned his gaze to look at her a playful smirk falling on her face as she noticed his half embarrassed / half angry expression that played on his face.

 “So what if I am, it’s not like I’m going to do anything about it, she’s clearly meant for him….I mean I know this whole wedding is just for a commercial to promote the new song, but I just can’t..” his words trailed off turning to look at the couple once more.

 “Stop being jealous of the two of them?” the words were blunt and he turned to look at her, she was watching them again, her arms laid at her sides and she seemed to be almost entranced by the performance.

 “I know what you mean, remember the saying that Saotome, drilled into her heads when were back at the academy, idols aren’t allowed to fall in love no matter the circumstances, it would cause scandals and so many problems that our entire idol career would be in total shambles.  “But…love is something that can’t be avoided, I mean we are all bound to meet the one person who changes…everything we feel about ourselves.” her words trailed off as she looked towards the stage and watched Masato step down and gently grab the woman’s hand, and lean down on knee pressing a gentle kiss to the ring that gleamed on her ring finger. There was something almost sad about the scene looked, the girl’s eyes were glossed over with tears but she despite that she had the most gentle smile on her face, she could see how her lips pulled up into a smile.

 “Looks like sort of prince finally being able to save his princess or something like that.” Ren joked and she turned her gaze to look at them and turned her head and nodded. “Oh we’re on.” she mumbled and looked towards Ren for a moment.

 “I know your jealous about the two of them but why don’t you focus on me for a few minutes, who knows you might be looking at someone the same way he looks at her.” man did she feel stupid for even saying that but blinked as Ren took both her hands and gently pulled her onto the dance floor, his hand moving to rest on her hip and holding onto her other hand in his own.

The thought of beingoverwhelmed with the different noises around you mixing together with no pauseor stop made you want to hide in a closet  and never come out.“R-Rei-Chan.” You began andfiddled with your fingers a bit trying to express the way you felt to him butat the same time you didn’t want to upset him.

“What is it (Y/n)-chan? Are you ok?” He asked gently tippingyour chin up to meet your gaze.

Your throat closed up and you shook your head trying to tell himit was nothing and that you two could go but he knew something was wrong. Hepulled you to the couch and sat you down on his lap. “Whenever you’re ready totalk I’m here ok?” He said gently putting off all of his plans with you just tomake you feel better.

Otoya:Currently you sat in the corner of the dance studio watching asStarish practiced their dancing for their upcoming show. However, you only camecause Otoya wanted you to but you weren’t really paying too much attention.

The smell of the sweat mixed with various differently colognesmade you want to vomit and you desperately wanted to leave. However youpromised to stay this time and not leave early but you were suddenly startingregret that. Telling Otoya no meant upsetting him and that made you feelterrible.

As you took a deep breath, you were brought out of yourthoughts, with a gentle touch to your shoulder. “Are you alright? You’re reallypale.” He asked concerned about you.

You nodded not sure if speaking would be the best for you. Hefrowned and gently took your hand leading you out of the studio and outside tofresh air where it smelled 10 times better than inside.

“I won’t go back until you’re ok.” He murmured and placed a softkiss on your forehead.

Ren: The night was relatively calm and peaceful.The gentle sound of the rain hitting the ground soothed you and you were aboutto fall asleep when all of a sudden a loud boom of thunder sounded causing youto jump and yelp slightly.

Most people were afraid of loud noises but yours was a differentkind of fear. Whenever there was a loud noise you would often lose your sight asyou associated the sounds with the color black. Any loud noise made this happenand you didn’t know how to control it.

Ren was asleep in his room since you didn’t share one with himas you were afraid of him knowing what happened when rainstorms like thishappened. However tonight was not your lucky night. Your yelp must have beenlouder than you expected as the door to your room creeped open a bit.

“(Y/n)? Are you ok?” He asked softly and perched himself on theedge of your bed lightly dragging his fingers through your hair.

You trembled a bit as another boom of thunder caused your visionto be flooded with black and you curled up. His concern grew from seeing your tremblingform on the bed. He crawled into the bed next to you and pulled you against hisbare chest hugging you while stroking your hair.

“It’s ok my little lamb. I’m here with you.” He murmuredcontinuing to whisper sweet nothings into your ear until you were able to fallasleep with him holding you.

Masato:You wanted to be there to support him with everything he did eventhough most of the locations he was in didn’t make you comfortable at all. You’venever said anything to him but also went along with him because you wanted tosee him happy.

The current event you two were at was an amusement park opening.Fans were everywhere and it seemed like you couldn’t put enough distancebetween yourself and anyone else. You throat started to close up and breathingbecame harder. The loud noises of rides and screaming were starting to becomephysically painful.

As you were about to start having a full blown panic attack,Masato came up and touched your shoulder lightly gaining your attention. “You’resweating and super pale. Are you alright?” He asked and gently took your handcausing you to flinch a bit.

He let go and apologized before leading you to a secluded areathat was much much quieter. He kept his hand held out behind him just in case youneeded to grab him as not to lose him. “I’ll talk to my manager then we canleave here entirely and go somewhere else that’s much quieter ok?” He murmuredand placed a gentle kiss on your cheek before going to talk to his agent.

Ai: Itwas dinner time but this time you were sure you wouldn’t be able to stomachwhat was being made. It smelled fantastic but when Ai set the plate down infront of you, you couldn’t help but cringe slightly at some of the things onthe plate.

Most of the textures bothered you. Picking up the fork, youpoked an prodded at it for a while before Ai said something. “I’ve noticed thatyou don’t immediately eat. I’ve done some research and I think I may know theproblem. However I’ve had to study you for quite some time.” He said and stoodup from the table going back into the kitchen.

With the sound of the fridge opening and closing, it was only aminute until he came back. He set down a bowl of jello in front of you andreturned to his seat staring at you intently.

“But Ai this is yours.” You stated looking back at him. He wavedyou off and encouraged you to try it.

With a sigh, you switched your fork for a spoon and grabbed abit on the end. You hesitated a moment before putting it in your mouth and youreyes lit up. You hadn’t wanted to tell him about your problem with foods sinceyou didn’t know how he would react but now that he knew there was something youcould eat without much fuss, it made him happy. He vowed to get you jello andwhat you needed when you needed it. Whether you wanted him to or not.

An: I got a lot of much needed help with this one. I also did a little bit of research before doing anything too in depth. I’m definitely happy with the way it turned out. Some of the boys are just the sweetest!

Christmas Date with Masato

A few weeks before Christmas Masato appears before you with a folded piece of paper and a blush over his face. He looks determined at keeping his posture nonetheless, and hands you the piece of paper. He beckons you to unfold it, and you are met with beautifully traditional strokes of ink. His message read a kind invitation to spend Christmas day together with him, that there wasn't a better Christmas present to him than getting to spend time with you by his side. Masato could be shy to speak his mind, but his written words were never less than true. He was very pleased when you agreed to spend the day with him, and he promised he would make it a day to remember.

When Christmas day had finally arrived, you were greeted kindly by Masa and invited into his home. His house always had a homey feel to it, but seeing it decorated in all sorts of Christmas ornaments only amplified this strongly.

His living room was adjacent to his open kitchen, and once your eyes landed on the counter you knew exactly what the plans for today were. The counter was littered with all sorts of ingredients and equipment, the two of you were going to bake!

Masato has cute aprons ready for the both of you and once the sleeves were rolled and hands were washed, you were ready to get down to business. If you are not experienced in baking, Masato happily assists you, and teaches you gently how it's done. If you are good at baking he is impressed, he loves baking himself despite not having much of a sweet tooth. The two of you will be an awesome team in the kitchen. Not only is it nice, warm and cosy inside, it also smells deliciously. While you wait for your cinnamon buns to bake, Masa pulls out another surprise, the ingredients for a luxurious and rich hot chocolate! Once the steaming delicious beverage is in your cups, the two of you take a break from baking and take a cosy seat on the sofa with plenty of blankets to snuggle under. You have a beautiful view of the nature outside, covered in white snow, while more falls from the sky. You are fairly certain you couldn't feel warmer and cosier inside than you did, hot chocolate in hand, Masa by your side, and the smell of freshly baked goods in the air.

As you lay there together, Masa places a gentle kiss to your forehead, softly wishing you a Merry Christmas. <3

Chapter 8 - Pasts [STARISH]

Otoya Ittoki

He had brought you to a special place as a symbol of your first date. The building looked like some sort of kindergarten, with the many children playing outside.

"Otoyan!" A little girl called. The children looked at your boyfriend, all having wide eyes of joy.

"Hey guys!" Otoya did a childish pose for them. He brought your hand in his, introducing you to the children.

"This is my darling YN! Everyone, please be nice with her!" He said, hugging you.

"Otoyan was supposed to marry me!" A girl with pigtails said.

Another little boy took her hand. "You can marry me instead!"

"Alright!"

You giggled at the cuteness.

Once the children dispersed, Otoya told you about the place, "This orphanage was where I grew up in. It's a special place to me..."

"Otoya..."

"And now, you're the special one in my life."

Masato Hijirikawa

You carried your duffel bag on your shoulder, walking to Masato's room. The crack in door shone the light in, but Masato's voice from the room was not comforting.

He was speaking in a low tone, sounding almost fierce. You've heard stern in games, but this was deathly fierce.

"YN?" Masato put his phone down, seeing you at the crack of his door. "Did... Did you overhear me?"

You walked in, setting your bag down. "I didn't pay attention... You were kinda fierce..."

He held his head down. "It's..."

You motioned him to sit on his bed next to you. You held him, letting his head lean on your shoulders. "Now you can tell me."

"It's my father," He said. "He pressures me. I wasn't supposed to be an idol. He laid out my life for me as a businessman. We made a deal... I would stay here for a year and then take over his business..."

You jolted up, forcing Masato's body to fall into your lap. "You... You're kidding right?"

"What?" He got up in confusion.

You hugged Masato, laughing. "Who knew we'd be in the same situation?!"

"Wait... so youー"

"Mama always wanted me to take charge of her bridal company," You explained. "My Papa didn't care; he taught me basketball. I made a deal that if I win the nationals, then I could stay in the Academy."

He brushed your hair with his fingers, bringing you in closer. "Looks like we're in this together..." He smiled, his eyes poignant in thought. "Has your mother ever gone to one of your games?"

"Nope. Your dad?"

"Never."

Natsuki Shinomiya

After an eventful baking 'class' ー which consisted of throwing flour at each other ー you cleaned up the bowls and spatulas. You set the timer on the oven, hanging your favourite apron up.

As you were wiping the counter, you noticed that Natsuki's glasses were on the counter. Did he leave them when he was washing his face? You did throw a handful of flour on his face...

You wanted to go check up on Natsuki just in case he needed his glasses.

Eh?

Why was the door locked?

"Natsuki?"

BAM!

"H-Hey... What's going on?"

The door swung open. There Natsuki stood, looking truly pissed.

"Natsuー"

"Stop calling me that! The name's Satsuki. And you..." He panted. "Have to break up with Natsuki."

"What?!"

"Oh honey... He didn't tell you?" He cooed, stepping closer to you. "I'm the beast living inside of him. You thought he was all innocent and sweet. Oh no darling... there's two sides of a coin."

"Why should that matter?!" You said in outrage.

"What?"

You repeated yourself. "Why does having another side of him make any difference? I still love him the way that he is!"

He scoffed, cornering you. In general Natsuki was soft with you but now 'Satsuki' was intimidating you.

"You're just after his talent. A gold digger, aren't you? Dating an idol sure makes youー Hmph!"

You killed him full on the face, wrapping your arms around his neck. You brought him in deeper, bringing your face closer. You sneakily slipped his glasses on at the sly movement of your wrist.

Natsuki now pulled away.

"YN... you taste sweet..."

You turned red. "Natsuki! Stop!"

"Didn't YN-chan kiss me first?" He smiled.

You shook off the embarrassment and asked Natsuki. "Natsuki... Can you explain what Satsuki meant by 'just after his talent'?"

His expression fell. He hugged you tightly to his chest. "I liked my former teacher so much that I made a song her. Then she became famous because of that song. Satsuki just thinks you're trying use me... but... I love you YN... Don't break up with me..."

"You know what he says?"

He nods. "Ever since I dated you, we could hear each other at times... YN, did I scare you?"

You kissed his cheek tenderly. "I could never and will never."

Ren Jinguji

He had invited you over to your next date at his house, since he claimed he 'wanted to show you his charismatic side'. When you entered the house, the main butler had told you that Ren was not back from his modelling appointment.

You decided to explore Ren's home by yourself. You walked around silently until you came across a family portrait of the Jinguji family. In the centre was a supposed younger Ren on his mother's lap as his two brothers stood by his mother, one on each side. His father stood proudly, holding the shoulder of his wife.

"It looks like my fairy decided to magically appear in my humble abode," Ren whispered into your ear.

"Ren!" You pushed his body away only for him to trap you in his arms.

He smiled and let you go. He then turned to the painting of the wall and his expression stiffened. "YN... Who took you here?"

"I wandered on my own," You replied curtly, uneasy about how forward he was. Sure, you are often frank but for Ren to do so is a little strange.

"Let's go to the gardens," Ren took you by the hand. "It was rude of me to leave you alone and to come late to our date as well."

You shrugged it off. "I did not mind... I was examining the regal decor of your home."

He tighten his hand slightly. "Were you intrigued by the family portrait?"

"Yes."

"I'll tell you of it in the garden."

You and Ren had tea together at the gazebo in the gardens. You gave time for Ren to muster up his courage, not pressing on the matter.

"You must be wondering where the lady of the house is," He said. You nodded, your eyes sparkling in curiosity.

"Well she's sitting across from me with such magical eyes..." He winked. You simply gave him a hard stare at his comment.

He chuckled, then took your hand in his. "The lady of the house ー my mother ー passed away. As well as my father," He explained. "When my mother passed away, my father got rid of anything related to her... My brother finally put up the one family portrait we had after his passing."

"Your mother is incredibly beautiful... I wish I had met mine..." You earnestly told him. "My birth mother passed away after I was born."

He took your hand and kissed it. "She would be proud to have a daughter like you."

Cecil Aijima

The two had nothing much behind your pasts that would shock the other in all honesty. It didn't surprise you that he was a prince, especially with the way he acts.

The main reason was Cecil being so honest with you. You had mentioned one thing to Cecil which you think he didn't understand. It was the fact your family was a yakuza group.

You were inspired to pursue theatre by your cousin, who currently is doing acting in Mankai Theatre.

Cecil unfortunately found out when bodyguards tailing you two nabbed him and interrogated him. Much less to say, there was nothing tragic in the past to harm your relationship. Well... with the exception of your cousin.

Syo Kurusu

He confessed his past in an... unexpected way. Your family called him to confess his past ー with several spears at his neck ー which he complied with.

"I have a twin brother, mother and father. My mother is an orchestra conductor and my father is a stylist. I was born with a heart condition andー" He panicked as the blade reached closer. "I will give YN no harm; please let me go." He pleaded.

"Grandpa, please let him go. He does no harm..." You said, on your knees. "Syo even swore to wait for me."

"Release him."

After comforting Syo, he swore to never break his promise. "I won't let them kill you," You told him.

Tokiya Ichinose

You had asked Tokiya to assist you in cleaning your room since you were moving dorms. As you cleaned through your closet, Tokiya took off the photos that hung on your wall. One particular photo was of you sitting in the middle of many men.

"Are these your relatives?" He asked.

"My brothers..." You said. "There's 10 of them."

He seemed surprised. "I hope I meet them someday... How did your mother manage that?"

You shook your head. "They're my foster brothers. Actually, we're all adopted. My dads adopted all of us from the streets separately."

"I'm sorry to say..." He said. "Please stop me if I'm getting too deep. Did you know your parents?"

You shook your head again. "I'm a dumpster baby. I was probably the product of some one-night stand gone wrong."

Seeing you solemn, he expressed his own thoughts. "I know how it feels to not be wanted to say the least. My parents divorced and they never supported my idol career."

You were shocked. "You're pretty good though at the whole idol thing." You remembered those times watching Tokiya practice.

"You're a pretty good mangaka yourself," He said. "I hope I meet the respectful men who raised you."

You smiled. "Alright! These boxes won't move themselves!"
