Effect Definitions:

Attack Down is a Debuff that will decrease the target’s base attack.

MP Gain Down will decrease the target’s MP Gain when using discs, when they’re attacked, or when they activate a skill that gives them MP Restore.

TLDR: "The Scenery of the Hospital Room is Everything" is a very specialized memoria that is excellent for Ranked Mirrors, but only if you're in for a prolonged fight. If you don't care about Ranked then you should feel no pressure to roll for this memoria.

Review: Apologies ahead of time, this will be a long review.

This is yet another good Ranked memoria. It qualifies as a stat stick with its high def passive stats, it offers a decent amount of Attack Down, and it will decrease the amount of MP gained by the enemy's team-- all things you want when trying to protect your team and prevent enemy magia/doppels.

Before going further, we need to compare this memoria to other memos in the game to examine why this is so good for Ranked, especially as we'll see that some memoria are better than it in other areas.

There are many memoria that offer more Attack Down than this one does, including the ever-popular Mito Rain. However, what makes this memoria so good is that inclusion of MP Gain Down, where it tops the list:

Notably, "What Flavor is Break Time (Touka)" (which we will just refer to now as "Touka Tea") has the same amount of MP Gain Down offered. Obviously, "The Scenery of the Hospital Room is Everything" is going to be better than "Touka Tea" given that it has the same exact effect at the same percentage with a higher passive DEF stat and an additional secondary buff with a lower cooldown to boot, but you should consider that "Touka Tea" is unlimited. That means, for most players, it's more probable that one will have it max-awakened, and a max-awakened "Touka Tea" will have better stats and effects than a single copy of "The Scenery of the Hospital Room is Everything". However, even a non max-awakened copy of "The Scenery of the Hospital Room is Everything" is still good, having 45% MP Gain Down.

Put together, owe have a memoria that is a decent way of making the enemy team deal less damage for one turn and gain less mp. There are other memoria in the game that offer way more Attack Down, including the very accessible "Mito Rain" and the newly released "I'll Have You Cooperate," but the amount of Attack Down offered by "The Scenery of the Hospital Room is Everything" isn't necessarily bad. What really stands out is its amount of MP Gain Down, sharing the top spot with the unlimited "Touka Tea" but with the addition of its Attack Down and a shorter cooldown.

With that, we can see that the true draw of this memoria is its MP Gain Down, not the Attack Down. The Attack Down is an excellent bonus, but that MP Gain Down is what really makes it shine.

This makes it an excellent memoria for content like the Hundred Evils, where you'll want to prevent enemies from gaining Magia. It also makes it perfect for Ranked Mirrors.

Note that for Ranked Mirrors, you need this memoria to be max-awakened and max-leveled. You need that short cooldown for it to work properly and you're going to want those stats as high as possible so that it can work as a stat stick.

Stat Sticks are Active memoria that beef up a character’s passive DEF through its stats, not its effects. These kind of memoria are helpful in Mirrors, where some Actives serve little more than, well, “stat sticks.” This blog considers anything about 2200 DEF a Stat Stick. Note that the memoria needs to be Max Awakened to qualify as a Stat Stick.

A cooldown at five turns means that the memoria will be usable at the start of round three in mirrors (or even less than that if used on a character with Skill Quicken in their Spirit Enhancement). In prolonged fights, that means you can continue to debuff the enemy's mp gain along with debuffing their attack power.

This is especially notable as many units with debuffs on their active Spirit Enhancement will only last between 1 - 3 turns. This includes characters such as Darkness Mitama, Mitsuru Inami, Akuma Homura-chan, and Amaryllis; all who see popular play in Ranked. You don't want their debuffs on the enemy team to run out with nothing to back them up afterwards if you're in for a prolonged fight. You need to be able to follow up with something that will keep your characters safe.

Of course that doesn't mean you can't also use this memoria before round 3-- you can, especially in emergencies. But it's excellent to have on hand for when your potential debuffs run out.

Of course, as you're reading this memoria review you can also probably see how this memoria is tightly made for one area of the game in particular. Meaning: if you are not using a very specific strategy for a very specific part of the game (Ranked Mirrors) then this memoria is not necessary to acquire. Using "The Scenery of the Hospital Room is Everything" assumes that you:

Care About Ranked Mirrors

Are using a gameplay strategy that will extend how many rounds you fight

Have the slots necessary to consider even getting this memoria

Are whale enough to care about having the best possible memoria on your team

Are whale enough to max-awaken this extremely niche memoria so it's actually usable.

If none of that applies to you... then there's no point to grabbing this memo.

There are better Attack Down (and Damage Down) memoria you can acquire, and "Touka Tea" will work just fine if you need MP Gain Down in PVE content such as Hundred Evils.

Overall, this is a very good but very specific memoria. Unless you are a hyper-whale who is aiming for S3 with Ranked Mirrors and you can guarantee max-awakening "The Scenery of the Hospital Room is Everything," you shouldn't feel the urge to roll for it.

Amidst the current Yuu hype (which is only natural considering we´ve been teased for like 4 years now) I want to return to a new mechanic that was released not too long ago: Brand new personal memoria given to us in the Alinas Atelier event.

You´ve probably seen them around before: Ren can burn her HP down to 20% and gain enough MP for an instant Magia, Shizuku carries 50% chance to crit and Natsuki gets permanent MP regen and so on.

Now this opens up a lot of opportunites for older units to gain new power (that and the possibility to go beyond 100 SE). As I was thinking about which units could be next for this treatment I started thinking about possibly the most deserving squad there is: Mikazuki villa.

Aside from maybe Yachiyo who is a beginner friendly mirrors unit they serve very little to no purpose beyond very early play. (For example Tsurunos magia spam evade cheese is outdone by Oriko). So I think those girlies should get the next set of powerful memoria.

Before I get into my ideas of new tools for them girlies I want to talk about Iroha first. Iroha was promoted to a faction leader in arc 2 and all of the faction leaders have aura buffs which provide them and their teammates passive buffs for up to 5 turns. (e.g. Himena providing aqua attack up or Rabi providing damage up and damage cut etc.). Iroha as we all know does not carry an aura buff (the only non 4* unit to actually carry said buffs is Mayabu with damage cut to all).

So I think her new personal memoria should actually be an aura buff for the entire team that works similiar to the SE nodes from other leaders. I was thinking about something like Ailment res up + MP/HP Regen to all as nod to her protective and inspiring personality (plus having a unit provide passive mp to her team will give Iroha some usage for people with limited or no mp batteries). Now as far as the other girls I´m not sure if they should get selfish effects or be given aura buffs too in an attempt to breath some life into them.

Tsuruno could play into the luck idea. She could give her team something like attack/damage up or damage increase while also giving them chances (like chance to crit or to evade, maybe some anti-evade) for some fun rng. Otherwise I could see her pull up with attack up at full HP and a generous chance to evade similiar to Vampire Nagisa and Chisato.

As for Felicia I could see her gaining a generous amount of damage against witches up since she used to get super focused on witches and going on rampages. Other than that I have no clue what to give her so hit me up with any ideas.

Idk what to with Sana. Should we repeat the Sasara treatment and give her access to a turn of taunt and endor adept (MP when hit)? Honestly I´m just gonna skip this one tho it would be funny if she got some super agressive memoria in homage to her doppel.

Yachiyo is super basic but whether selfish or team wide - give her blast MP. Actually her granting blast mp to her teammates would be funny since all of Mikazuki villa have at least two blast discs. But that would be lowkey busted since it would also stack with pre-existing blast mp.

So yeah that was my unstructed ramble rant about the potential of the new personal memoria for our beloved Mikazuki Squad.

It is time to step up the defense of transgender people in Britain

What The Trans has published an urgent call for action in a thread over at twitter. We are taking the liberty of republishing it here so that it can reach as many as possible.

Here’s the thread:

The government seems to be removing protections for trans people

Just under a year ago Rishi Sunak promised to review the equality act in regards to trans people. He was vague, but over the last few months the direction of travel appears to be removing protections for trans people from the equality act.

What this means in practice is defining sex purely as 'biological' with the goal of allowing service providers the option to lawfully bar trans people from single sex spaces.

How would that play out? It would mean that a trans woman could be barred from using the women's toilet if she is out with her friends at a bowling alley it means a trans man could be barred from using the men's toilet at the pub.

Many trans people already struggle to access these spaces. Either they use the one's that align with who they are, and risk being clocked as trans and shouted at...or they go to the wrong ones and get told they are in the wrong one and get clocked as trans.

If you need to understand more how this would effect someones life, ask yourself... ...have you ever worked at a place, not from home, and not used your workplaces toilets at all during the day? Could you do that?

The UK government is considering gutting the equality act to allow places to essentially make it potentially impossible for trans people to leave their homes for longer than their bladders can hold out. That is the reality.

Forced outing of trans kids 

2. Education guidance is incoming (and it doesn't sound good) For months the department of education has been promising to issue guidance on how schools deal with trans pupils.

The government are currently briefing the press the following: That schools will be forced to tell parents if their child has come out as transgender That trans students will be forced to participate in sports activitys of the wrong gender.

If you don't understand why the first would be bad, a report by @JustLikeUsUK revealed that almost half of young LGBT adults are estranged from their families. AKT has reported that 77% of LGBT young people said their homelessness was caused by family rejection and familial abuse.

If a child was to reveal to their teacher that they are trans, the government is briefing the press right now that they want to force teachers to out the kid to their parents. Looking at the situation now, it is clear how dangerous this could be to the child.

When it comes to sports, this policy risks excluding and marginalising students who already face significant levels of bullying and ostracisation from their peers. This proposed guidance risks making trans lives so much harder for our youngest.

Biggest rollback of rights ever

The UK's transgender community is facing the biggest rollback of their fundamental human rights, ever. For centuries we didn't have any rights at all. Since the 1970's the trans community has won many battles to get to this point of protections that aren't exactly perfect.

The government are contemplating making our lives unliveable outside of our homes, and potentially unlivable inside our homes if we happen to be children.

This is monstrous and the result of 7 years of anti-trans moral panic by the media giving the impression that there is something for politicians to gain from being absolutely horrific to the UK trans community. You must show them otherwise.

You must write to your MP, email them, call them, go see them, do all of these repeatedly. Form queues outside their constituency offices, fill up their mail bags, crash their email servers with the sheer number of messages, showing that these policies will cost them.

You must organise and attend protests. Radical, disruptive, marches, static, as many as possible, as frequently as possible with as many people as you can gather. Make them loud. Make them constant. Be as annoying as possible.

You must show up whenever political leaders show up in your area for campaigning or anything else.  Ask them difficult questions, shame them, make it very uncomfortable and tell them what this is and how it would hurt trans people.

This is a red alert for the trans community in the UK. This is a fight we cannot lose.//

Here's what he is: A terrified extremist who has to maim the mainstream media to keep his support, who NEEDS to plunder the Hindu Muslim divide in India, and spread hate and fear about communities that can very peacefully coexist, in order to gain people's support, to be seen as an saviour for upper caste Hindus in India. He needs to shut down the internet, so many times that India had the largest internet shutdowns in the past year, to shut the voices of people. He is the leader of the party that drafted a bill that would maintain stringent control over OTT platforms, the only free and accessible source for information in India at this point, AFTER THEY SUSPENDED 140 MEMBERS OF OPPSN. Who maintains silence over protesters of his own country being attacked by tear gasses and pellets, who welcomes RAPISTS into his party.

And a lot of his actions suggest that he will bring dictatorship in India.

Here's what a lot of you are going to say: OMG, what is the other opinion, Rahul 'Pappu' Gandhi? Well, sorry to inform you guys, but India (fortunately) is not a two party system. With a burst of magic, a light brighter than the sun burned from KUKULKAN. She dashed forward as the ground from under LUNE erupted in a pillar of bright, shining light. The paladin was knocked in the air, spinning as they tried to desperately regain their balance, whatever Noble Phantasm or skill they possessed taking the brunt of the attack. With a swift kick, KUKULKAN leaped into the air.

"No mercy, here I goooo! Haaaah!"

She fanned her hands outward, two emerald-green buzzsaws, bursting with her magical energy, manifested in her palms as she threw them forward. With the focused help from her Masters, they found the infinitesimally small cracks in the magical armor, the foreign energy counteracting the traditional magecraft that kept LUNE's shield present. It was an attack nearing perfection- executed in spectacular fashion with the synergy between Masters and Servant.

[ KUKULKAN did 5 damage to LUNE, and reduced the incoming damage to 1! LUNE seems to be down for the count! ]

They went flying, spiraling through the air and crashing into a building. Until--

Arcana Twilight and Obey Me (OG) Comparison

Background: Obey Me (OG) was officially released on December 11, 2019, while Arcana Twilight was released on August 25, 2022 for worldwide audience. People have said that Arcana Twilight have similar mechanics with Obey Me (OG), but to what extent? I've played both games, so I'll write this comparison.

Disclaimer: The things I would write here would be based on my observation of the game mechanics and features present in both games. I did this post to list down the similarities and difference between both games, and not to cause dissonance between two fandoms.

Differences

a. Amount of ads

The very first thing that will greet you when you open the Arcana Twilight is an ad. Both games have ads to support their game mechanics, but the amount of ads you could find in Arcana Twilight is more than those in Obey Me.

The Obey Me ads are mostly there to help the players gain more chances to battle the stages - thru gaining more AP or gaining more battle chances in hard stages or event stages.

The Arcana Twilight ads, however, are mostly found everywhere, since the ads can be used to double the resources drops/gold and to obtain materials and gold if you don't have MP to farm battle stages. You could even use the ads to reduce the time for Visits, which then you don't have to wait long to get gold to upgrade your cards. The ads in this game is like a massive cheat to progress faster thru the game. All you have to do is watch ads and you'll have your resources as reward.

However, there are times wherein forced ads would sometimes pop out after you complete a battle stage in main story or when you'd open the app. If the player wants to opt out of the ads, unfortunately, they can't do so. I'm not sure if the Arcana Club membership implements a "No-Ads" perk though.

As for why are there so many ads in the game? There's a speculation that the reason might be because of this. The link discussed about the reason for why it looks like they are in need of money. Since ads is an option to gain money in a game, they utilized it in order to make money because they are constantly on red. This is actually a good way for free-to-play (F2Ps) players to support the developers if they can't shell out money or buy the Arcana Club membership in the game.

b. Crystal Rewards in Main Story Stages and Daily Missions

One thing you'd notice right away is that in Arcana Twilight, each battle stage rewards 50 crystals for first-time 3-star clear. Then, after you clear out the whole chapter, you'll receive another crystal reward for 3-starring all stages in the chapter. The daily missions give out 50 crystals each day, so it pays the effort to open the game daily and clear out the dailies.

It is completely different from Obey Me (OG), wherein completing each stage in the main story, you'll only receive devil's tree items in the missions and occasionally, you'll get DP for the boss stage you've cleared for the chapter. The daily missions only give out a total of 18 devil points.

c. Events

Obey Me constantly push events every time in the game. There are times when there would be downtime, but it is pretty minimal. The events have story stages and reward ladders that players could opt to grind if they want the UR cards in the event. There are also event cards that is only available in time-limited event banners, which can boost the points for the reward ladder grind.

However, the Pop Quiz or Celestial Blessing events are mostly for spending players and not for F2Ps because of how much resources you need to put into the event just to get the desired rewards from the ladder. F2Ps could join the Birthday event grind but with proper preparation first. But the good news is that the past Pop Quiz and Celestial Blessing events do come back in Lonely Devil and you could rerun the event for a limited time to grind for the rewards as F2P.

Arcana Twilight, on the other hand, has event cards but there is no event story stages nor reward ladders to grind for. The event story is locked behind the event cards from the limited-time banners.

When it comes to limited-time event banners, Obey Me only have demon cards in the banners, whereas in Arcana Twilight, the event banners include both sorcerer card and wish card in the roster. The Obey Me event memory cards are only available in the event reward ladders.

Both games have event banner reruns and Obey Me rerun banners also retain the pity/total summons done from before, so that players could continue their pulls the next time the banner reruns. As for Arcana Twilight, I have no idea if the rerun banners also retain the pity/total summons from previous banner run.

d. Main Story Chapter Updates

There's this joke in the fandom that while Obey Me updates their main story chapter every week, Arcana Twilight gets update every year. It sounds like a joke, but it's not really far-fetch from what happened.

To start off, I'm not a day 1 player. I only started recently so the things I'm writing here are from what I understood in my research. I snooped around the archives of the official Tumblr account of Arcana Twilight and sub-Reddit and found their posts about the chapter additions in the game and noted their timestamps.

Their very first chapter addition is Floor 10, which means that on its initial release, the game has until Floor 9 only. Floor 10 was announced to be added on September 2022, Floor 11 on April 2023, Floor 12 on late October 2023, and recently released, Floor 13 was added on December 2023.

I still haven't reached Floor 13 yet. I stopped at Floor 8 at the time of this writing, because of the requirement needing me to be at least level 30 to proceed to next floor, which I'm currently low-leveled yet for that, so I could only bid my time and make my team stronger for the next floors.

But from what I could tell, the players feel as if they were left with a cliffhanger with the recent addition, with many of them thinking that a lot of questions were left unanswered. They could see the potential of the story in the game but, a lot of lore details weren't really touched on in the story.

I'm not really sure what happened in Floor 13 since I tried to avoid the story spoiler, but this image below is what I saw mostly talked about.

People are either thinking that this ending credit means that the main story of the game is completely finished or that this credit is saying that this floor is the end of Season 1 of main story.

In my opinion, I'm not really sure how to react to this kind of news. I just recently started the game and wrote the newbie guide and card mechanic guide posts just a few days after playing the game, only to find out that the game is probably on it last leg. I'm not really sure what would happen next for this game and I could only wait it out.

THM/BLM Skills Overview Part 2: BLM & Traits

Let's see what our little firey mages did in 1.0

Before Manafont, you had Convert in ARR, which removed 30% of your HP to recover some MP. This is a bit more of an extreme version of Convert, just switching your HP and MP values altogether. This was actually a materia with the same effect in FFVII (albeit a rare and niche one).

Read on for more Black Mage abilities...

As of Endwalker, Burst is in the game, as a PVP action for Black Mages, which is a powerful close-ranged circle AoE. This would've been the Flame or Freeze equivalent for the thunder element.

Kind of funny that this is now the default effect of the THM sleep spell in modern FFXIV.

And your hard hitting fire and ice attacks. I mean, it's not ultra surprising that BLM has these actions. A BLM without a Flare is like...dragoon without a spear. Only things surprising about these actions is how they all have long cast times and recast times (especially Burst!) and how Flare apparantly is a close-circle AoE.

Now for traits:

Lvl 8 Enhanced Magic Potency - Increases attack magic potency by 8 Lvl 12 Enhanced Enfeebling Magic - Increases enfeebling magic potency by 8 This is also referred to as Greater Enfeebling Magic elsewhere in the game's data. Might be a remnant of an earlier localization.

Lvl 16 Enhanced Parsimony - Increases MP gained from Parsimony by 25% Lvl 20 Auto-Refresh - Gradually regenerates MP. The fact you don't get this until level 20 is amazing to me, and shows the type of game FFXIV 1.0 is. Lvl 24 Swift Necrogenesis - Reduces recast time of Necrogenesis by 30 seconds. Lvl 28 Enhanced Magic Potency II - Increases magic potency by 10 Lvl 32 Enhanced Enfeebling Magic II - Increases enfeebling magic potency by 10 This is referred to as Greater Enfeebling Magic II elsewhere in the game's data.

Lvl 36 Swift Dark Seal - Reduces recast time of Dark Seal by 30 seconds Lvl 40 Enhanced Magic Crit Potency - Increases poitency of magical critical hits by 10. Lvl 44 Enhanced Sanguine Rite - Adds a damage reduction effect to Sanguine Rite. Lvl 48 Enhanced Excruciate - Increases critical rate bonus from Excruciate.

The only other thing I can say about Thaumaturge and Black Mage, is that I have a strong suspicion based on some investigation I did over the weekend was that this was not meant to be the "elemental" class, and was more...darker. Thaumaturge itself in ARR does deal with some dark concepts - the whole class questline is about dealing with voidsents and involves a lot of murder. Considering that their goal for the original FFXIV classes was to move away the common archetypes seen in final fantasy, this isn't a huge surprise.

We'll see more about what I mean later down the line, once we get more proof and evidence.

Do you have anything for Levi, Oikawa, or Bakugo?

[omg i have SOOOOOOO many wips for Levi that i don't think will ever be written :( but i also have some for toto so it was hard to choose!! i ended up going w levi just bc the sheer volume was overwhelming lmaooo. this is a canon universe fic that i started writing when i was like 1 or 2 (???) seasons into AOT with a world of hurt left ahead of me. i will never ever post it anywhere because it's cringey and bad but this scene has a bit of flavour]

Levi steps towards the doorway, the last to depart save for the blonde still seated at the head of the table. 

“Levi,” the commander calls to him before he can properly take his leave. 

The slighter man pauses, shoulders tense, before slumping down sullenly into a seat near the end of the table with his arms crossed over his chest. 

“You knew.”

Levi tosses the words out accusatorially once the room has emptied, the door creaking closed behind the last departing officer. Erwin says nothing in response, staring down the visibly irate man on the other side of the table with a characteristically unaffected gaze. 

“She could have had her pick of placements within the military. If she graduated in the top of the cohort, she would have had to make that choice on her own and then explain it to the family who was waiting for her back at home. The family who had every expectation that she would take a comfortable position with the MPs. But she threw the exam so she'd have no choice, or rather no excuse, but to come here.” 

“So, you knew,” Levi repeats his earlier indictment, his aggravation only more pronounced the second time around.

“I had my suspicions,” the commander agrees, nodding sagely. “She’s an exceedingly proficient soldier, after all.”

“Why didn’t you say anything?” Levi asks him, reaching out to thumb idly through the exam report still left out on the table before him—but every glance at the adulterated results only makes the anger churning in his gut boil hotter.

“What difference would it have made, Levi?” Erwin asks, still keeping him fixed in his gaze. The commander's tone remains level, but Levi has known him long enough to tell when he's getting irritated, even in spite of his carefully-held composure.

Levi turns his head away, his jaw tensing.

“The military police had their eye on her from the moment she enlisted,” Erwin explains, sighing as if it pains him to spare the effort. “A skilled, well-educated cadet from a highly respected noble family would be a powerful negotiating tool in any branch. Imagine what they would have had planned for her if she’d fallen into their grip.”

Levi's grip tightens, crumpling a piece of paper angrily in his clenched fist. “Well, we’ve used her in the exact same way they would have. So what does that make us?”

“Levi, don’t do anything rash.” Erwin's known Levi long enough to read him and his body language a plainly as any map.

“Like whoring out a cadet for financial gain?” Levi’s response is sharp as he stands from his seat, the chair scraping against the floor. It's an ugly, unpleasant sound—wholly befitting of the situation.

“She knew what she was doing, she isn’t a child,” Erwin’s tone slips slightly, finally giving away his own vexation.

Levi's lip curls as he looks at him, his disgust as plain as day.

“Whatever helps you sleep at night.”

I just played/beat Sea of Stars! I will start with non-spoiler stuff

So over all I really liked the game! I admit I found it slow and thus took it slow until the third main town/area you go to (not counting where you start), but yeah, once it reached that point I couldn't put the game down! I was playing it at every chance I got! I thought the game was beautiful, I really liked the music, characters, story, and there were so many moments throughout the game that I had my mind blown or just otherwise freaked out! Although if I do have a mild complaint, which I admit this is an odd one for me especially, the game was kinda easy? Like, as you can see I beat it without "dying", I had characters pass out but never a full party death, and although I admittedly has a few close calls, yeah, I never truly died. There are so many campfires, you can always go back to them between fights, you have a few healing options, death was never a huge concern! But yeah, the game is beautiful, the combat is super fun and engaging, there was absolutely awesome enemy design, I just loved the experience so much!

Now onto the spoiler stuff, I'll start from least to most spoilery:

So I have seen people complain about getting the true ending, but I really didn't find it that bad? Like I think I had to use a guide to get 10 or less conches and that was it? I found doing the optional challenges and bosses were super fun! In fact, getting Resh'an's ultimate weapon was the closest I got to a game over on that boss!

I hated wheels. I sorta ended up cheesing everything with the mage and assassin, but it's so luck based and I have awful luck, so I would lose matches as the opponent kept getting constant EXP and such, while I would get nothing! Though weirdly the only opponent I beat on the first try was the Watchmaker haha

An aspect I disliked with combat was, so you build up the combo/ultimate meter and they top out, thus you need to use them to get the most out of it in a battle to rebuild it again. Also you gain MP by attacking normally, and create a thing called "live mana" by doing so. My issue with all of this is though, particularly with the bosses towards the end, I would have a plan in mind about how I wanted to do something, but then the boss would do a certain attack that I had to stop and would be forced to use certain characters/attacks, and as you have no idea how much HP a boss has, you could chance using your ultimate attack and defeating the boss before they heal or use a big attack, or you can break the attack and make the fight take longer when you coulda just killed them, but you have no idea. But beyond that too, sometimes enemies/bosses would do an attack chain that I had no way to break so I'd get screwed over by having no chance to break it, or I'd use Serai, then immediately after using her I'd need to use poison/her disorient ability and be screwed over. Or a boss/enemy would be spamming big attacks so often I ran out of MP and couldn't do anything to stop the attack! But yeah, for me it was kinda frustrating how I'd constantly want to use an ultimate or combo move, but I got stuck chipping away at the boss as they just kept using big attacks I had to break, and sometimes I'd get stuck doing the same attack sequence over and over as the boss kept doing the same thing again and again. There could be careful planning and strategy to how you attack, use live mana, MP, stuff like that. But other times the battle was completely based on the bosses attack patterns, and you'd get screwed over after using a character, mana or whatever because the boss did something you didn't expect

I did find the game a lil formulaic and it kinda forced me to take breaks, as the game is almost boss battle after boss battle, there will be like 10-15 normal encounters or a story break, and then it's another boss, I just found that mentally taxing at times

So I didn't cry (but I almost did) when Garl dies, but I kinda wish I did cry as I had no idea that he was just going to be dead for the rest of the game! I thought he'd be revived but I didn't expect it to go on for as long as it did! Which once you do eventually revive him, again, I almost cried as it had just been so long!

There were a few things I found a lil disappointing, like, One, Two, Three, and Four, they just sorta disappear at the end. Unless I am blanking on it I wondered where the good witch was as you never see/hear about her, at least not in memory, but it's Moyara who died before the game starts? Also in the "true" ending, you Erlina reunite with what I assume was Brugaves, but again, he also disappeared and their ending is sorta sad no matter what version you get, they still end up as deformed monsters when their feelings were sorta understandable, even if they agreed to an inexcusable thing

I also must admit I was a tad disappointed with what happened with Resh'an and Aerophul, like the fact that they both walk off, after everything Aerophul did, the fact that he just walks off, after what he did to Serai's people and the pain he inflicted on so many worlds, it just kinda sucked that he walked away

But yeah, it was a really beautiful and fun game, and over all I really did enjoy it! I ended up finishing on it at level 21, I didn't have to do any grinding minus a bit of gold grinding around the final third of the game, and it was just a really fun experience!

Effect Definitions:

MP Gain Down will decrease the target’s MP Gain when using discs, when they’re attacked, or when they activate a skill that gives them MP Restore.

TLDR: “Wishing for the Final Act” is a memoria that is useless outside of specific fights, and can belongs in the Memoria Storage Jail. It should be helpful when it comes to Magia Stall Teams.

Review: “Wishing for the Final Act” is a copy of the following memoria:

(Limited Welfare 4*) “The Beginning Is Here” MP Gain Down [40%] (One / 3 turns)

As such, the reviews will be very similar. However, even if you already have a copy of “The Beginning Is Here,” you should still keep “Wishing for the Final Act.” This is because both memoria can be extremely helpful if you’re struggling with the One-Hundred Evils Challenges, particularly if you rely on Magia Stall Teams. However, keep in mind that sometimes the enemies you face will have unreasonably high MP gain so that memoria like this can’t prevent them from using a Magia or a Doppel.

Onto the actual review-- this memoria is useless unless you’re fighting an enemy that can get to Magia. This won’t be applicable for most of your fights: witches don’t use magia, you wouldn’t waste an active slot on this memoria for Kimochi, and only a few magical girls will even have a second bar for MP gain in fights. Additionally this memoria has too long a cooldown to be of any use in Mirrors.

This means the few times you’ll want to use this will be during the Hundred Evils or for a few specific EX-Challenge fights.

If you’re a player with many good and slotted units, you still might not use this memoria however. A good magia loop team (where you magia every turn) can mean you’re killing enemies before they can so much as get a scratch on you, let along gain MP. However if you’re a player who relies on Magia Stall teams, then “Wishing for the Final Act” will become an important tool in your arsenal. 

This can help you prevent encounter troublesome enemies from gaining MP every turn, and keeping one target from getting to Magia for those three turns can mean the difference between success and a loss. Additionally it can allow for some breathing room while you work to gain more MP for the next turn.

However, even if you’re a whale, you still shouldn’t use this memoria as Enhancement Fodder. You never know what horrible scheme the devs will work on to make your life difficult, and thus this memoria belongs in the Memoria Vault Jail.

A kiss to the inner thigh and whatever other kisses you feel like adding- Charles/Hawkeye

(WE FINALLY DID IT, EVERYBODY, baby's first hawkchester.

I rolled one more for you, so you get! A tentative kiss! I couldn't resist that. I haven't written hawkchester until now because Charles intimidates me so much as a character, but I'm steadily gaining confidence in his dialogue. So hopefully more of them soon!)

"Charles, do I ever ask you for anything?"

"Around seven-point-six times a week, on average," Charles drawls as he turns the page of his medical journal, never once glancing away from the page.

"How's that even figure out?" Hawk demands from behind him. "You don't have the numbers. When's the last time I asked?"

Still, he doesn't spare Hawkeye so much as a glance. "This morning, you told me to budge over so you and Hunnicutt could share your inane little quibbles about the duty roster."

"That doesn't count. That's barely—I-I would've asked anybody for that. That's not a you-specific thing."

"Yesterday, you needed to borrow my pen."

"To write on a chart!" Hawk exclaims, sweeping his arm through the air. "Is it my fault my pen ran out of ink?"

"A true professional," Charles intones dramatically, "would never be without a spare."

"Y-You're so—"

"And, for that matter, a man who swears his devotion to the medical practice must be prepared to tend to his duties." Charles finally gives one single look over his shoulder, viewing Hawk from the corner of his eye. "Not scheduling his rendezvous during his assigned shift in post-op."

Hawkeye circles around to Charles's desk and slaps his hand on the surface to head off his point. "It's with Gwen. For the love of God, how many times do I have to miss a date with Gwen before one of you assholes gives me a break?"

Charles, it appears, is utterly unimpressed, simply staring up at him as he clicks his tongue. "Steady. If you spend so much of your time disappointing women..." He considers, glancing toward the wall of the tent. "Mm. On second thought, if we consider the gossip..."

The nerve of him. Though he knows full well words like that are only used to wind him up, the bite of acid stings his tongue all the same. "Hah. Right. Like you're hearing a single word on the gossip train when the nurses won't even give you the time of day."

It's frankly insulting that Charles could sting Hawk like that, then look so completely unaffected by a returned barb. He doesn't even reply. Just goes back to his academic reading like, like he's...

All right. It's not the first time Hawk's had thoughts about him. Notions, even. It was those same mental experiments that led Hawkeye down interesting paths with Trapper, for instance, ones that served them both exquisitely well for the time they had together. He's run games like that with plenty of men—with MPs, aid station medics, and that one extremely interesting occasion with Scully—but he'd never felt bold enough to actually make a move on someone like Charles.

Because it would make sense, wouldn't it? How quickly him and Margaret fizzled out, if they even started down a path together at all. His trouble with finding evening companionship that will have him. God, Charles is in his cot every fucking night, just like BJ, and with a hell of a lot less incentive to be there.

So he...he wonders. He thinks about it sometimes. He...

Yeah. Yeah, okay, he would. Hawk would, absolutely, even if just to push his buttons. To tug strings.

In moments like this, when a concept grabs him, Hawk has trouble surfacing from it, gets so tightly caught in a loop that barely five seconds have gone by, and yet he's spent a lifetime wonderingwonderingwondering, and he's tapping his foot, and he's drumming his fingers on the desk, and—

"What if we make a deal?" Hawk asks.

"You have nothing that could possibly interest me," Charles replies.

Hawk's mouth waters. He swallows. "You haven't even heard my offer."

"Because I already know that it will not interest me."

Undeterred, chest tight, Hawk circles around behind his chair. He grabs the back of it and with all his frail little might, he manages to drag it back a couple of inches.

Charles splutters. "What on earth are you doing?"

"Presenting my case." Hawkeye even manages to sound unstrained, miraculously—he hopes, at least. As he comes back around, there's just enough room to bump past Charles's knees, meet his eyes, and sink down to the floor.

There's such a radical moment of stillness from Charles that Hawk could almost believe that time might've come to a stop. It's not rare to see Charles completely absorbed in his passions, unmoving as he appreciates them with a depth that Hawkeye will sometimes catch himself watching endlessly in return, but this is quite different. It's like for the very first time, Charles is seeing something about Hawkeye, and his body has frozen to allow his racing mind to catch up.

Hawk laces his hands around Charles's calves, giving them a slow rub up and down along rough fatigues. They're not as soft as he might expect when compared to the man's more plush thighs and round stomach. No, there's a rock hard strength in them just like the nurses, like Colonel Potter and BJ both. As much as Charles could be read as a man of utter luxury, he works as hard as the rest of them. He doesn't shirk his duty.

Almost regrettably, Hawk admires that.

He travels higher, easing Charles's legs a little further apart, but he doesn't look down at his goal yet. He already knows he's going to enjoy this—takes a personal pride in his excellent service in this regard. He's very oral. What can he say?

But while Hawk's well familiar with how men will sweat or squirm or even grab him and yank him toward their cock, Charles simply watches him, brow furrowing, like he's...what? A puzzle that needs to be solved? Or an ant crawling up his pant leg?

Hawkeye's mind still hasn't slowed. He was counting on getting his mouth on Charles's dick to make that part happen. But now it rushes ever onward, wondering if it's maybe kind of a shitty sign that he can't read Charles's curiosity from his disdain, and wouldn't that be unfortunate? If not even Hawk's particular skill at pleasing a man could make someone like this—who views everyone around him as imbeciles—thaw?

Somehow he hadn't considered the possibility that after all these months of Hawkeye's irritation beginning to melt into some degree of respect, perhaps Charles still saw Hawkeye as a boy playing doctor, and nothing more.

Hawk's breathing a little too fast now. He gulps down his sudden trepidation as best as he can and leans in, pressing a hot, open-mouthed kiss to the inside of Charles's thigh. There's an interesting flutter of eyelashes above him, which seems promising, but the second he glances down, he sees...nothing. Not even the slightest hint of arousal. And he's thinking far too fast for the possibility that he might just need to tease him a bit more.

He knows what he is. Knows the picture he presents. He's pretty enough to be a girl, but his facial angles are masculine enough to be a boy. He can play whatever role someone might need. But he never foresaw the possibility that someone might not want either.

Fingers suddenly find Hawkeye's hair, and they thread through the strands with an elegance that he's unfamiliar with feeling during this act, the kind that half-makes Hawk want to spit on him. It wouldn't take much to read condescension in the gesture. On any given day, it all but drips out of this man's every pore. "Pierce, perhaps these methods are all it takes to sway your endless revolving door of lovers to your whims. But on me, you'll find it's quite ineffective."

Hawk rolls his eyes. Tends to the faint slice through his ribs, the one that nicks the edge of his heart. No, yeah, he realizes that. There's not a bit of lift to be seen. It's actually hilarious how the insult hits him faster than the fear which should rise to the surface. If he just made a move on a normal fellow—completely misread his suspected proclivities—then he could have a hell of a lot more to lose than just a midnight tryst with Gwen.

"I do admit I find your eagerness to sell yourself quite interesting," Charles murmurs.

Hawk sinks his fingers into Charles's pillowy thighs as leverage to start standing up. "You about to take lessons from Sidney?"

Charles tuts out a little laugh. "Oh, hardly." But suddenly his hand shifts, his broad palm dragging over Hawk's cheek, and the intention and warmth there bring him to a sudden stop when they're at eye level. Charles shakes his head with amusement beaming from his eyes. "I have no use for that variety of, ah, pseudoscience."

The interwoven combination of annoyance and attraction strikes him again. "And I'm sure he's crying himself to sleep over it every night."

For once, Charles doesn't have an immediate retort. He tilts his head to the side, and as his glimmering gaze traces along Hawkeye's face, he can feel every inch as he covers it.

"Try not to take it personally, Pierce," Charles finally murmurs. "I'm so rarely stirred at all. Even your best efforts would serve little purpose."

It's interesting that he won't drop it. Hawk chews on his bottom lip thoughtfully, and when Charles's eyes leap to that action, his heart rate skyrockets. As they watch each other, focused on different facial quadrants, an interesting fact occurs to Hawkeye that he can't help but mention. "So why are your cheeks getting so red?"

Charles huffs. His eyebrows rise. "Unfortunately, you are mistaken. See, Winchesters never flush, we—"

As Hawkeye bobs forward, Charles goes deathly silent. Hawk waits. He looks for any feasible sign that he's making a mistake. But when no snide comment is forthcoming, he leans in far slower, and when Charles doesn't so much as move the hand off of his jaw, Hawk settles his weight gently with fingers on his other forearm.

The kiss is gentle. Honestly, it's one of the sweetest that Hawkeye can remember giving in recent memory. And when Charles's mouth doesn't even slightly move beneath his, Hawk pulls back, hesitant, hovering an inch away as he sucks in a deep breath and forces himself to meet those blue eyes.

Charles's lips part. "I..."

"Yeah?" Hawk coaxes quietly.

Charles clears his throat. He shakes his head a little, as though clearing it, then speaks just as softly. "I'm unable to fill your shift for you."

Right. Right. This is a deal. They're bargaining, and Hawkeye is losing. He'd forgotten that part. Forgotten Gwen. Forgotten where they even fucking are. He gives a tiny nod. "Uh-huh." And his mind returns to running rapid calculations for exactly how much trouble he might be in as he continues to stand back to his full height.

"Are you on duty next Saturday night?" Charles asks.

Hawk feels almost dizzy with how much he might've just fucked up his life, and for what? For a pair of pretty eyes? For a brilliant mind and words that so often taste like vinegar? He's a fool. "No," he just barely manages to say.

"Neither am I."

Hawkeye starts to walk away, then pauses. Blinks. He slowly turns on his heel. "Oh yeah?"

Charles doesn't look at him as he returns to his journal. "Quite."

Three long seconds pass. "That's interesting."

"Mm."

C'mon, Hawk wants to say. I just tried to blow you and you barely reacted. I just kissed you and you didn't kiss me back. You can't make me do everything.

But his fingers are tingling. And if he had patience before this war, it vanished barely a week in. Hawk chances, "So maybe we'll see each other."

"I'll be here," Charles simply replies.

Hawkeye huffs in shocked amusement. Okay, so apparently that's all he's gonna get. But it's...it's something, isn't it?

He hovers for a few moments more, staring at the back of the man's head, before he stumbles out into the camp, days worth of thoughts stampeding ahead of him. He's got one date to reschedule, and apparently he's got a new one he wasn't even fucking planning for with a puzzle he might never understand.

Scandal After Scandal: Will They Never End?

Boris Johnson was so beset by scandal that his own party turned on him and threw him out of office. We all know about the Partygate affair but there were also questions raised regarding his personal monetary arrangements.  From charges of corruption concerning him asking a Tory donor to supply funds to refurbish his Downing Street residence, to his appointment of the BBC Chairman and an alleged £800,000 loan, Johnson was the epitome of the self-serving Tory.

Johnson has gone but the scandals have continued to rumble on. We had the unedifying debacle of multi-millionaire Nadhim Zahawi being forced to resign after he was  found  guilty of serious breaches of the ministerial code  by covering up issues to do with his attempts to minimise his tax bill.

Sunak’s own wife also avoided UK tax payments by claiming non-dom status. After being asked to “come clean” on his wife’s tax affairs and after much embarrassment the Sunak’s decided she should pay tax in this country.

It is not only those Tories at the top of government who are self-serving. Conservative MP’s have been calculated to have received an additional £15.2 million on top of their MP salaries, personal fortune hunting seemingly more important than giving their constituents 100% of their time. 

“Since the end of 2019, millions of pounds of outside earnings have been made by a small group of largely Tory MPs."  (Skynews: 08/01/23)

When Sunak, after much delay, made public his own tax affairs we discovered that for the year 2021/22 he made £172,415 unearned income from dividends and £1.6 million from capital gains. In total, the PM paid an average tax rate of 22% over a three-year period.

For you and I, the basic rate of tax on income between £12,571 and £50,270 is 20%.  Between £50,271 and £125,140, it is 40 %, going up to 45% for earned income over £125,140.

For Mr Sunak to have only paid 22% on his millions is therefore quite a smack in face for ordinary tax-payers, and one only made possible because the Tories have arranged the tax system to benefit  themselves and their rich friends.

“Angela Rayner, Labour’s deputy leader, said: “[The tax returns] reveal a tax system designed by successive Tory governments in which the prime minister pays a far lower tax rate than working people who face the highest tax burden in 70 years

“… the fact that Sunak paid less than a quarter of his gains in tax highlighted the problems with taxing capital gains at a much lower rate than income…The low tax rate is because we have much lighter taxes on wealth than work”   (Guardian: 22/03/23)

So, if you work for a living, expect to pay proportionately more in tax than those who live on unearned income.

Way back in July 2022, Rishi Sunak was so disgusted with the immoral behaviour of Boris  Johnson that he resigned his post as Chancellor. This is what he said at the time:

“... the public rightly expect government to be conducted properly, competently and seriously. I recognise this may be my last ministerial job, but I believe these standards are worth fighting for and that is why I am resigning.”

But if a week is a long time in politics, then 9 months is an eternity. As we have seen, Sunak himself has become as equally embroiled in monetary scandal as his predecessor and now he is under investigation by the Parliamentary Standards Committee. 

“Rishi Sunak investigation: Government blocked Freedom of Information request into childcare firm.

Mr Sunak is currently being investigated by the Parliamentary Standards Commissioner over his failure to be more transparent about his wife’s shares in childcare agency Koru Kids when quizzed on the subject by MPs.

It comes after i revealed last month that Akshata Murty, the Prime Minister’s wife, holds shares in the firm, which stands to directly benefit from reforms to the childcare system announced in last month’s Budget.” (inews: 19/04/23)

Time and time again we see top Tories under investigation by the Parliamentary Standards Commission. Time and time again we see how self-serving and unprincipled our leaders really are. Mr Sunak it seems, is no different to his predecessors and the sooner he goes the better.

Until I figured out physics and calculus and basic math were behind a career in architecture and the classes I would have to take, I enjoyed taking things apart to make something else.

Not always pretty.

Could be Good what I took apart was the best thing we can’t see.

Like I’m writing questions but with wisdom not meaning to do that either,

A lot of people don’t like that. You do you! Baby.

I don’t mean to be at all harsh or hurtful. I try not to say that anything vainly.

I say it b/c a lot of what I’m writing is all of every piece of stream of consciousness tallied.

And it was a synapse connecting another.

Maybe that’s the creative part? The other side of My Brain is telling Me to ✔ on the other side so I’m like…crickets.

What I write is stream of consciousness, brutally honest and to some might be lightly offensive. In College writing this Way would’ve absolutely driven Me crazy.

Then life steps in and bonks u on the head with a newspaper but 15 years later returns the favor with an iPhone.

Or too blunt. And comes across as harsh. And that’s mostly because if I don’t have an emoji to match my real-life broken ღ I’m breaking up with you.

Self reflection: impulsive

I used to journal so much growing up.

When did I lose that innocence?

We can’t talk about folding paper into cranes and witchcraft finger fortune games anymore?

Huh, maybe you weren’t born this Way. Ur Parents just drew circles nearest each other or your apple stem twist broke too soon and you want a partner whose name starts with P.

Very often I overshare. If you’re reading this this is not brand new information. No ability to say things simply. Think I’ve already. That can put me really vulnerable to more bitcoin hacks.

And then you need to figure out what bitcoin is. And whether Mario can collect coins as well in place of the hackers.

I’d say ask Tom Brady b/c of his investments but since retirement he’s been pretty deflated.

Mean people that mean to hurt.

First of all I feel sorry for you. Not in a poor you tho.

People Who hurt on purpose don’t often have any Way to vent or get a rise other than evoke feelings in and deflect toward a schoolmate.

If u can’t change and just stay a novice bunny hill—fine! Stay there. Build some confidence through experience.

And isn’t that another thing? Something specific motivates the fire under your (cuckoo!) and before you’d see the dark without any End of the tunnel and more importantly with the light aspect. All the sudden you care b/c what? It applies to you of course be selfish. Fascinating yet humbling.

Then there’s the ‘Why Me’ (?) phase? Not fully pitiful but just pretentious enough to resume the trailblaze. Bad attitude with a healthy dose of are we there yet and trying to Balance whether someone is saying …’they get it; you always feel bad’ so…KY Basketball banter? Ashamed accompanies too bc thing is a few times I did kind of scoff at phrases like I always feel bad. Like, here’s 2 Extra strength Tylenol.Alright, Ok, come test for Covid 1/29/22. It shouldn’t take going through something to empathize with or change but you could’ve listened for longer with a clear mind. Just cannot wrap your head around it and I think sometimes that’s okay. What’s next I’ll try so hard.

+ It’s 12:01am of 1/29/24 (so last night), you still can’t do math and/or struggle to add or subtract 12 so aren’t entirely sure its your sophomore year orientation, and you already surrender to what you didn’t want to get up for in the first place. Kind of silly u set the alarm! B/c Pain, confusion, Discomfort and a Deep loneliness that has very little to do with people awaits. That whole scenario is a disaster but look who’s standing and GOT. UP. period. 15 years ago that’s where I’d be. Just defeated.

THAT. Is enough some days. I say that to you struggling to believe the same but know Deep down.

Year 2 longhaul and youre wondering why there are anniversaries at all given about half are always sad or tragic. Evoking the worst on what could be the best. Might be something To think 2 minutes ago you’d ended your prayer to have a better Day. We don’t have to know everything. Most of the time I don’t give God the time to keep up w/ Me let alone do anything miraculous before I just hang up.

Although My Life was headed in a completely renewed direction in so many ways of recovery—

I got sick. Not because it was meant to be.

Because COVID. Possibly a rabid bat. Cracked vile or petri-dish

Everything does not happen for a reason and ppl dont like hearing that bc its an easy out. Says time might go on but this thorn wont ever heal. How do we respond? that’s the most authentic and a strength yes or no wand.

I hate cliché. Thing is tho…I think we all hate it b/c it doesn’t hold us accountable. Eh it’s fine.

Unfortunately we wouldn’t have the pretty, surprise, one of the Walk to Remember walks. All up to the of healing and forgiveness individual to each of us.

If for Me that means ive healed all I can and I’m counting on research to help Me out some more maybe I just keep going. Trust Me nothing is forgotten but you do know now that at least you were strong and capable enough to figure all that at all. And—I can do that. Some days aren’t that kind.

Maybe it becomes a goal we never anticipated but ✔ your resilience at the ticket line and saddle up, honey.this donkey only holds ____ lbs. let some things Go. That thing will still only walk in a circle but you’ve evenly distributed your baggage.

The feeling of pure joy. Which btw does still require a thesaurus b/c it is NOT the same as joy. Like a preventative Med to an acute one.

Ive struggled with that b/c I know everyone believes that and means well I’ve just taken prior sick Gentry’s generalization and multiplied.

I am not making light. I think part of me is using the sarcasm as a coping mechanism.

Praise God there is something that does help the pain or at least distract from that Pain just not the one in your legs.

A codependency just a bit less severe. Embarrassing. Reason for judgment. Too easy.

If you can believe it—-I am not the same person I was 2 years ago.

For now I truly don’t know how. Pain can leave, anything traumatic can be worked on. You’ve got your scars.

I actually really think a scar is just unique as a snowflake or fingerprint. Telling so many stories. B/c a scar does mean something has healed. And it never forgets at one time it was painful. I’d prefer to see what I accomplish but I see wonder and beauty in them.

Things get pretty deep, complicated and downright pitifully sad. Vulnerable. Frighteningly true and relevant.

So I take what Good I can get in that day and pray those with LHC (Long-Haul COVID-19)

However. On the flip tail’s side.

I’m 35 years aware there are some people who just don’t like me.

Until recently I wouldn’t have meant ‘sorry not sorry.’

I do now. To a respectable extent.

I got another slot for Scene Zero Mami, and that made me pretty happy!

Team Mami in mirrors is really fun, but I'd say that it doesn't have great synergy. I think that Yuuna Kaharu was actually better for the team's needs than scene zero mami is, but it is what it is.

I will say that I'm not sure how I feel about scene zero mami so far? (Real quick: this is all my very uninformed opinion, I didn't research how she is on the bigcord or anything).

I think it's cool that she regens a ton of mp as a blaster but... eh, I'm not sure. I feel like I need to see how she works in a kimochi environment, but at least in regular boring fights (and in a few tests against harder aqua units), I find that anime mami is more useful.

then again, as I write this, Doppel Kyoko kinda does the same thing and is pretty good so I don't know why scene zero mami feels more eh to me.

I think maybe part of it is that I feel like I need to put mp gain up memoria on her so she can reach magia/doppel faster, when that kind of goes against her blasty nature. But if I don't, then I feel like I rarely get a chance to see that magia/doppel from her; everyone just dies too fast to blast!

idk, I'm sure I'm playing her all wrong. I did originally have just plain old attack up / damage increase memoria on her btw, I just thought it'd be stupid and fun to give everyone the same memoria. I just did it for my wretched support too, even though Juri gets like nothing out of it (mp gain up does not affect blast mp gain up in case you were not aware)

Anyways, I'd love to hear what others think of her so far. I think I might try and reach the 7th step up for this one to try and get a third slot for her (hey a girl is allowed to have favorites) but also I may not. I spent a lot of money on this stupid-ass game between christmas and new years so it might be good to slow down.

Okay, but could you imagine him gaining happy weight?

Like he's always been small, especially as a kid, but post-war when he's able to relax a little bit and settle down? Here is what I have in mind.

You two met briefly while he was still active military. It was a long time ago, there wasn't much exchange. He was there to ask you a couple of questions about some MPs that were causing trouble.

Usually, it wouldn't be his job to take on such a mundane task but the trouble the MPs were imposing did affect the scouts and pixis felt Levi needed a day to do something less blood-soaked after their last failed mission.

You were a bakery owner. Rationing had hit everyone hard but especially people who made their living in food. you made what little you could throughout the day and some newer mp recruits had taken to believing you owed them for their service. This resulted in a large portion of your scarce inventory being forcefully taken per day.

After getting the information Levi needed from you, including the time they usually show up he came back meeting the perpetrators at your counter. He almost didn’t have to do anything. Seeing him was enough for them to know they fucked up, but the unease in your eyes pulled a string in Levi’s chest. 

He put a stop to their egos with significantly less force than he felt it warranted, but breaking your bakery furniture wouldn't help you and that’s technically what he was trying to do. 

In return, you gave him a scone. It wasn't anything like you made before, but it was all you could reasonably give. He took it hesitantly seeing your pastry case already getting low for the day but with a little insistence, he took it.

All day long he thought about it sitting in his horse saddle bag, but wanted to eat it properly with tea so he waited. By the time he got to it, it was squished and crumbly but still, he made his tea, sat down at his desk, and took the first bite.

That was it. That scone was on his mind for years and in connection, you.

Post-war he'd been given a little flat in town. It was so noisy and the years he'd spent jumping from building to building made walking the streets without threat feel somehow more dangerous. but he found peace in a little bakery in the studio below him.

He didn't pick the apartment but whoever did really couldn’t have picked better for him.

Now your business was booming with customers constantly asking for big doughy cheese croissants and sweet jam-filled Danishes, but somehow you always found time to have a cup of tea and a scone at the corner table ready for him a few minutes before close.

One scone often turned into two and leftovers were always for him to take if he wanted. Of course, he only ever accepted if you split it with him over a cup of tea.

Sometimes this was in silence, other times gentle conversation about the city's revival. Both were saturated in the comfortability of one another's company and often even after the food was gone you'd just sit there basking in the post-food glow.

He hadn't noticed the change in him. He did notice the comfortability he found in his bones now. he wasn't as agile as he was and the felt good. It meant he had enough peace in him to not need to upkeep that harsh regime anymore. Don't get me wrong he was strong and still retained a solid portion of his muscle, but now it came with more bulk.

The first time he'd noticed it was when Hange came to visit. They decided to meet at your bakery rather than his place and when Hange saw him, they were in awe.

"look at you!" they say, pinching his cheeks and his filled-out hips. "I could barely get you to eat anything at camp, who is feeding you so well-"

The question cuts itself short by the smell of fresh cream cheese and toasted bagels. "On me," you say, setting one in front of either of them.

Hange looks down at the bagel and then at Levi, who was staring at you as you walk back behind the counter.

Hange watches his eyes with a sense of softness. They haven't seen him with a look of peace like that in years. Maybe ever.

His cheeks were full and his eyes light. For Hange it was the true sign that they could maybe start letting go. Like it was possible for them to build a life after death and grief as he had. 

They keep the sentiment to themselves as they take the first bite of the bagel. Hange’s eyes light up. "Oh that's good," they say, "that's it, I'm moving in with you."

Bonus headcanon

I was thinking of getting a civilian job, “he says, washing down the flaky pastry with a mouthful of tea. “I don’t think sitting as I have been is doing me any good.”

“what did you have in mind?’ You ask.

It was the question he hoped you wouldn’t ask but of, course was the most logical. He hadn’t actually found anything that he wanted to do yet. The job idea up to this post was just a brewing thought. “I don’t know yet.”

You hum a thought into your cup. “You know ,”you start, “I don’t actually have tea on my menu.”

He looks down at his cup the up at the chalkboard menu behind the pastry case. Sure enough no drinks were present at all.

“Though,” you continue, “I have been thinking of expanding to it. Though truthfully I don’t know much about tea.”

The warm drinks you’d made him were always fine but he did notice that you never strayed from making the same two over and over again.

“If you wanted, you could always help here, I can give you the contacts the vendors showing interest and you could tea test for me. I was going to ask you to go to the tasting with me anyways, but this way you could actually get paid and have a real say in the direction-”

“yes,” he says, “I’ll do it.”

A smile tugs at your lips. “Perfect.”
