You are our second year manager for our feral crows

Literally, these guys might be wInGlEsS cRoWs but they don’t have any trouble finding attractive managers 😍

You were originally going to take over for Kiyoko by yourself but thankfully, our queen found someone to help you out

Of course, you deal with the usual suspects

*cough* NOYA AND TANAKA *cough*

But honestly, you just carry a water bottle at this point to spray them when they act up

Honestly bravo for keeping your fellow second years in line Yn 😌

However, when it came to keeping the the toddlers of the team in line, you take a different approach

You see, you have a rather soft spot for our precious first years

I mean, they are freaking adorable 🤩

One, Tobio Kageyama 🙌🏻

You don’t know exactly why, but you seem to get along well with Kageyama

Whether it be sitting next to him during team meetings or helping him practice during individual training

Naturally, helping Kageyama means hanging out with his bestie, whom he SWEARS is not his bestie but is definitely his bestie, Hinata 😌

By now, you are use to Hinata and Kageyama fighting

Literally, you pretty much just ignore it

You’ve picked up on signals that tell you if Hinata is in immediate danger ⚠️

So, most of the time, Dadchi leaves the handling of Kags and Hinata to you

And while you are happy to help out, Kageyama begins to feel a certain way…

At first, he literally thinks he’s just hungry 😐

No joke, his stomach fills with butterflies and he feels weird when you enter the gym

So naturally, he thinks he’s hungry

However, he soon starts to feel like maybe it’s more

It’s your laugh, your smile and your jokes

They make him feel warm and happy 🥹

Even when he’s walking with you and Hinata after school, he feels content

At first, it freaks him out

Because like wait, something other than volleyball is making him happy 🤯

Talk about odd…

He doesn’t really understand the feelings he’s having until someone points them out

It’s during a practice match with Date Tech that it first happens

You are busy running around, doing your job when Koganegawa intercepts you

“Hey YN! Could you maybe help me for a second?” He asks, showing you his finger tape that is falling off

“Sure!” You say cheerfully, helping him fix it

Meanwhile, you are joking and laughing with the giant setter, talking about nothing in particular

However 👀 a certain someone is literally GLARING at you

Kageyama doesn’t even try to hide it, his staring holes right thought Koganegawa’s head

Everyone notices it, looking between you and Kageyama until it’s finally all falling into place

The majority of the team is simply flabbergasted that Kageyama has feelings for anything outside of a volleyball

“Oh my god, are you guys seeing this?” Suga says as the team nods in agreement

They aren’t sure what to do because this is completely uncharted territory

Leave it to Hinata to blaze the trail 😌

“Hey crappyama, why are you glaring at Kogane like you want to murder him?” Hinata :D

Kageyama’s neck snaps to Hinata, exorcist style

“This is my normal face dumbass!” Kageyama growls as Hinata stares back

“LIAR!” Tanaka screams

“Looks like the great king has a little crush,” Tsukishima teases

Meanwhile Kageyama is now glaring at his team when you approach

“Hey guys what’s up?” You say as everyone looks to you

“Nothing,” Kageyama says before turning to leave

Poor bby is feeling so much right now ☹️

Sure he finds you cute and fun to be around

But these aren’t feelings he’s had before

And what do we do with new feelings?

That’s right 👏

We push them away and pretend they don’t exist 😃

Ok maybe not but that’s what Kageyama does

Soon he’s ignoring you, literally walking the opposite way when you approach

It’s weird and you start to feel ignored and a little sad

In fact, you even ask Hinata what’s up

So he goes with neither and acts completely oblivious

“Umm sorry Yn, I don’t know what’s up with him,” he says before running 🏃‍♂️ away from his problems

You are extremely confused and hurt 😔

This continues for a while, still unsure of what you’ve done to upset Kageyama

One day, you as Yachi to take over for you with helping the super volleyball idiots

“Are you sure Yn?” Yachi asks

“Yeah, I don’t think Kageyama wants me around anymore,” you sigh

Yachi is literally ready to just tell you what she and everyone knows but she knows it’s not her place

So she agrees

When Yachi shows up instead of you, Kageyama is so confused

“Where’s Yn?” He asks as Hinata finally loses it

“Kageyama you really are stupid,” he says as Kageyama grabs him by the collar

“What did you say dumbass?” He says, getting in Hinata face

“You’ve been ignoring YN and now they don’t think you want them around you, that’s why they asked Yachi to be here instead of them!” Hinata yells as Yachi stands there, nodding her head

Without saying a single word, he RUNS from the gym to find you

He finds you cleaning up in the main gym, as he bolts towards you

gwen’s notes 🤍: HELLO I COULDN’T FALL ASLEEP EARLIER AND CONJURED UP THIS WHOLE THING and decided i would base the teru smau i’ve been meaning to make off of this i was originally going to make it longer but i need to leave deets for the smau :))

you have trouble falling asleep at night and terushima has a terrible habit of staying up late. the two of you are worlds apart in all the ways that matter yet when the sun succumbs to the moon and the sky is engulfed in darkness, when the constant buzzing of every crowded corner dies down and the ruthless city comes to a standstill, you find that your realities warp into one.

it’s been a week since you last heard from your class partner, a whole week. you just had to run late that otherwise mundane tuesday morning, if only your professor hadn’t decided to start assigning pairs for a project worth half of the entire semester’s grade, you wouldn’t find yourself in this predicament.

you stare blankly at your laptop, the white negative space in the google document you’re supposed to be working on with terushima mocks you in a glaring light against the pitch-black darkness of your dorm. eyes flick to the bottom right-hand corner and the clock reads 3:47 am, you sigh before pushing yourself up the mattress into a sitting position.

you’re not going to fall asleep anytime soon, might as well start working on terushima’s part if you want to have at least somethingto present to your professor for initial consultation. a second cursor appears out of thin air and starts navigating through the document. you frown, blinking a few times to make sure your eyes aren’t deceiving you. sure enough, a tiny flag pops above the cursor spelling out his name.

he moves his cursor right above yours, pausing briefly before it starts typing out “What are you doing still awake, pretty? >:)”. you scoff in disbelief at his childishness and weirdly enough at his correct use of commas even as he’s flirting. through google docs.

“What do you think, asshat. I was going to start your parts because you ghosted me,” you type away furiously, biting your lip as you watch him conjure up a reply.

“I wasn’t ghosting you! I drafted all my parts in the past week.”

“Yeah right, you liar.”

seconds pass and the little yellow cursor you’re talking to, like an avatar on some virtual game, disappears. you roll your eyes and chuckle bitterly almost too soon, confirming your own suspicions. but he pops back up and starts pasting all this parts on the blank spaces while your mouth falls agape.

“I think you owe me an apology for even doubting me in the first place,” he notes at the bottom.

“Whatever. A head’s up would have been nice, Terushima.”

“It’s not like I have your number or something ;)”

you close in on yourself, sinking deeper into the oversized hoodie you’re wearing. you frown at the screen but you’re all too self-aware of the ache and warmth that creeps up your cheeks the longer you stare at the message. you swear your heart leaps when you see his cursor start moving again before you could even reply.

“I remember your roommate, you’re in the west wing, right?”

“What, why?” you almost jump through the screen, heart beating rapidly.

“I’m coming over so we can talk about the project.”

“Like hell you are! Why do you even know where my dorm is?”

“I have my sources. Besides it’s more productive if we work on it together. :)”

you groan in frustration, falling back onto your bed. you gently toss your laptop to the side and reach for a pillow, stuffing your face and screaming into it. true to his word, there are three faint knocks at the door after a few minutes. you begrudgingly peep through the hole, hoping it’s just your roommate coming back from a hookup. you squeeze your eyes shut, forehead resting against the door with a dull thud when you see Terushima with his plain black shirt and grey sweats, unkempt blonde hair with streaks of a rich brown shade at the roots, one hand holding a bag of stuff, the other typing away at his phone.

you poke your head out through a small opening you make, whisper-yelling, “get out of here!”

he simply grins and pushes past you, sauntering into the dorm like he owns the place. he plops the bag of what you assumed to be convenience store junk food onto your desk and drags a chair from across the room, placing it next to your own seat. he sits and stretches his arms above his head while you stand dumbfounded at the doorway.

“oh your roomie’s not here. classic, she’s out with a bumble hookup i bet.”

you cautiously pad back into the dorm’s short and narrow hallway after you lock the door haphazardly, an incredulous frown directed at terushima but he ultimately ignores you as he and hauls a laptop out of his backpack, prying it open on top of his lap.

you eventually settle onto the chair beside him, working on your own parts of the project. more accurately, busying yourself by constantly revising, typing, and erasing sentences back and forth to avoid any awkward interactions. you almost jolt out of your own skin when you feel his fingers dance around the curve of your back as you’re hunched over your desk. you snap your head sideways, throwing him a sharp glare, but you find that he’s all too lost in the reading, eyes glued to his own screen with no hint of mischievousness or ulterior motives. your features soften as you notice the pout on his lips.

a shaky breath leaves past your lips. you decide against pointing it out in favor of not giving him the satisfaction of knowing how much he flusters you. your eyelids eventually start feeling heavy from the soothing feel of terushima’s fingers gently drawing circles on your back.

he turns to you as you stifle a yawn, quickly glancing at the time. “hey, you should probably get some sleep. i’ll finish up soon.”

“no, it’s fine. i can’t sleep anyway even if i tried,” you shake your head.

“are you not tired?”

“i am, but i can’t fall asleep. is that so hard to understand, terushima?”

he chuckles at your attitude but doesn’t say anything. instead, he straightens up his posture, pushes your head onto his shoulder in a languid motion and you find yourself freezing up upon his touch. you sneak a glance up at him through your lashes, still, he doesn’t look smug or all too proud of himself. he wears a casual expression and goes right back to shuffling through the tabs on his laptop.

maybe that’s the reason why you find yourself unconsciously snuggling up to his side. his steady breathing and his absentminded touches, quite surprisingly, ushers you to peaceful sleep. a thought crosses your mind right before you fall asleep; he makes you feel like you’ve known each other longand well enough to be acting like this. you try to tell yourself he just acts the same with everyone else.

when you find yourself safely tucked in your bed the next day, your stuff neatly put away on your desk, and feeling well rested for the first time in weeks, your heart fights to convince you otherwise.

Which is why he approaches you and asks you the be Date Techs manager

As the year progresses you get closer and closer to Aone

Soon he's walking you to and from class as well as walking you to and from school

One night, as he's walking you to your door he drops the bombshell

It's there that he will just blurt it out

This time, you don't lack any words

"OMG YES!"- You screaming and jumping into his arms

He totally spins you around too 😭

At practice, things stay relatively the same

You do your job as manager and Aone does his job as core of the iron wall 🧱

Aone turns back to watch you before going back to practice

Futakuchi is now determined to ensure Aone has a chance with you

At the end of practice, Futakuchi approaches you

His intent is simple 👉🏻male Aone jealous so he will ask you out

I mean does this man not have eyes? Like you and Aone have been practically inseparable

"Hey YN. Say are you free this weekend?"- Futakuchi

"Umm- I might be? Why need something done for the team?"- you, clueless

Aone is now watching your interaction

"Actually I was wondering if maybe you'd like to go out with me"- Futakuchi 😏

Futakuchi is Aone's best friend but lort he's gone too far!

Aone arrives at your side just as you dug I to Futakuchi

"Kenji, you do realize I'm dating Takanobu right?"- you, standing there with Aone looming behind you

"But- but HOW? WHEN?"- Futakuchi confused

Just as the confusion sets I further, our favorite 3rd tears return to check on their precious juniors

"Hello our amazing underclassmen and how are we doing today?"- Kamasaki with Moniwa and Sasaya in tow

"Jesus christ not now! Aone, YN when did you two start dating?"- Futakuchi

"Idk like a month ago"- you looking at Aone who nods his head in agreement

"Wait ✋🏻 YN and Aone??"- Moniwa

"Holy crap"- Kamasaki

"Well I guess we don't need my plan after all"- Futakuchi walking away

"Are we just going to pretend you didn't just ask me out?"- you

"YN I'm not interested in you like that"- Futakuchi

"And who is your type?"- Kawanishi
