Le mois de Novembre fut, un mois, assez léger pour nos membres de l'agence, mais après tout, après une année remplie de beau projet et avec les fêtes de fin d'année, il est normal que nos membres pensent un peu à eux.

Niveau musique cela a été plutôt bien charger, car Xiomara Sanchez a sorti quelques clips ( ici et ici ) ainsi que son album solo Mal de Amores. Puis c'est au tour de Liv Andersen d'avoir sorti un nouveau clip ainsi qu'une nouvelle chanson intitulée  « BAD Bitch  »  Johanna Walter a sortir un nouveau single  « Les Étoiles  » puis c'est à Archibald Toretto de sortir  « You Don't Know Love  ». Zoey Nancy Andreas à sortie elle aussk son album  « Heart of glass  » Plk annonce être sur le projet de Aitch qui a vu le jour le 17 novembre. Anjali Kapoor a elle aussi sortie une nouvelle musique pour le film Roohi et un clip avec son groupe intitulé Cat and Mouse.

Monthly Series Appreciation

What's this about?

I want to share some of my most precious reading experiences with you.

I'm a total sucker for a good series to binge or wait excitedly for the next chapter to drop. And I would love to see you all interact more with those stories, with those incredible writers who put so much of their heart into their work. And especially series often don't get the attention they deserve. And I want to change this.

So here are three stories that I love very much. Give them a try, re-read them, shout out to the author, reblog it!

Second Chances

Syverson x OFC Eve (💕🔥🌩, status: completed)

I read this early after I found my way to tumblr and I was drawn into this world so fast. @notabronte gave us this lovely small town feeling where we can see Sy fitting in so well. It's the good old enemies to lovers trope, perfectly executed. I had to re-read earlier chapters after I learned a few things about our protagonists in the later chapters and it made me realize how good exactly this whole story was put together. You're going to fall in love with this town, with this car, with this girl and of course with Sy.

Modern AU Charles Brandon x female reader (💕🔥🌩, status: completed)

This one is special to me, too. First of all, I am such a huge fan of modern AU Charles. I just love the idea of it. And @daydreaming-in-letters is a master in building atmosphere in her stories and The Heir is not an exception. With the first scene she dragged me into that misty morning where we're about to meet His Snobbiness. And it only gets better after that.

This is my favorite Walter ever. He's just perfect. As is @mayloma's writing. She gives us wonderful characters, not only our two lovebirds but also the side characters that we meet. And so many sweet memories, it's heartwarming. Both Jo and Walt have a past and a life and joining them on their journey how to adapt to each other was a great experience.

Tbh I did tried to do some comic…(which didn’t work sfkvbsjv mostly because I was having some shift in the way I draw and well skbvksvd)

The premise is that, indeed, Dream IS the House, or at least the concept of “A House” in my brain, he is something that has been there, like, forever, you don´t know how or when or who did the House (since in the main story, it belongs to Johanna´s family, but she doesn’t really know about it either, and her family suggest that she should not look for info, its an asset, and well, who wouldn’t like to have a House where you can go to in summer/winter breaks?)

It´s so old that not even memories remain in its rooms.

The apartment, to Walter (another character), becomes his mother figure, he was left there as a baby, and so, all his life, he thought of it as his mother, he went there always, and began the 21 sacraments in other to finally be with her (It) The apartment becames the womb of a mother, that safe space. It lives. It is a motherly figure, the apartment, in the game is the place where you return, and each time you leave, you have to go through this hole, like being birthed over and over and over again, and Henry (HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY) has to come back.

And it is like, very amazing imo, to understand that some objects do have life, not because we give it to them, but because they always had it.

They are just waiting, and least you expect, its happening.

Understanding Artists' Books

The Paul D. Fleck Library & Archives holds over 5,000 artists' books - and the collection continues to grow through a combination of donations and purchases every year.

But what is an artists' book?

Well, part of the (usually exciting) challenge of artists' books is that they're difficult to define. For the Emily Carr University Art and Design library, the artists' book collection "encompasses books conceived, crafted, published, produced or altered by an artist, designer or collective with the intention of creating an independent art work ." But for the Smithsonian Library, "[a]n artist’s book is a medium of artistic expression that uses the structure or function of 'book' as inspiration—a work of art in book form." Our collection sits somewhere in between, encapsulating works in both of these definitions - and some works that are beyond either. In our library, you'll find do-it-yourself zines and handmade chapbooks from small presses, sculptural pieces, weavings, objects, comic art, flipbooks, and dozens of other specific forms.

Our collection began in 1985, when the director of the Walter Phillips Gallery, Lorne Falk, handed Bob Foley (Banff Centre's first full-time librarian) a suitcase's worth of artists' books and said, "These are yours, you should do something with them." Through a meeting with AA Bronson, an artist who founded Art Metropole and the New York Art Book Fair, Foley expanded the collection by developing relationships with publishers and distributors. Since then, the collection came to include artists such as Dieter Roth, Ed Ruscha (whose artists' book Every Building on the Sunset Strip inspired the creation of this tumblr page!), Barbara Kruger, Joseph Beuys, Mieko Shiomi, Yoko Ono, Gertrude Stein, and John Cage.
