Summary: Steve and Bucky have been best friends since childhood and are seasoned actors. After many years, they finally got to make a movie together. Much thirsting ensues.
For some reason Choose Love, the latest interactive movie on Netflix, played out for me just as I had wanted it to.
As soon as the last love interest was introduced, I had formed this entire narrative in my head in accordance with Cami's character. I knew what she has to do to leave the past in the past, try out the new opportunity that has come her way, and by the end still be where I wanted her, which was safely back home.
With the way everything played out with my first run of the movie, it's safe to say I'll be able to read the consequences of my choices in the next run very well.
Consequences of having a writer mind, am I right?
Anyway, the concept of Choose Love is fun and it felt that way too when I was watching/directing it. The characters besides Cami, who is sort of a blank slate for obvious reasons, are as fleshed out as you can expect any rom-com characters to be.
I feel a little bad at the sudden inundation of Milgram posts when people who follow me probably don't know what that is, so:
What is MILGRAM?
MILGRAM is an interactive music project with songs by DECO*27 (Ghost Rule, Streaming Heart, Otome Dissection) and story by Takuya Yamanaka (Caligula Effect, SD Gundam World Sangoku Soketsuden).
The premise is that ten so-called "murderers" have been interred in Milgram Prison - a strange place that is capable of extracting their thoughts and memories as music videos. After a song is extracted it is up to us, the audience (portayed in-canon by the prison guard Es) to vote whether the prisoners are Guilty or Innocent (or technically Forgiven/Unforgiven, as all of them are guilty of something). These votes then change the story as it progresses until after three trials (three rounds of songs) it will be concluded.
Currently Trial 2 is underway and almost done - only four prisoners left to vote for - but it's never too late!
The introduction video can be found on the official YouTube channel here, and I've made playlists for Trial 1 and Trial 2 (up to date as of time of this post). Just a heads-up: it does deal with some pretty dark topics and a lot of the music videos feature explicit violence, so keep that in mind if you want to check it out.
my bestie and i are driving to an amusement park on saturday and we’re already queueing up the defunctland episodes about that park to listen on the journey
If I’ve seemed inactive lately it’s because virtual fish in space have consumed my life. Some of the models are from the Unity asset store, some I’ve sculpted and rigged. Galaxy shader by SineVFX and is my new favorite thing. Music is Glimpsing Infinity by Ashton Fulero.
i am obsessed with interactive media and art. Like video games, but also things way simpler than that. A jigsaw puzzle is interactive art. Any way you can take art and make it not just a display but an activity. I love it.
some screenshots from different iterations the text mess popup in brandon that i thought were particularly interesting. if you enjoy interactive media web art, or just trans focused art in general, you should check it out, it’s a very visceral experience. cw for major themes of s/a, murder, and transphobia, as well as one or two sections including gore images. it’s a stunning piece but keep yourselves safe.
Zepotha will never be Goncharov because when it comes down to it, tumblr culture is collaborative, while tiktok culture is merely iterative, and those are not the same thing.
Class Assignment - Animated Chakra Badge Gifs, Fall 2020
For this assignment, we were tasked with making six unique animated gifs resembling video game achievement badges revolving around a central theme. The theme I selected was Chakras.
Can you separate the player experience from the quality of a piece of interactive media?
What makes the experience "good?"
Is a game bad if the player is frustrated? What if the player has no chance to succeed on the first try? Where is the line between challenge and punishment? Is there a line at all?
What is the qualia that separates the "good" media from the "bad" media? Does such a distiction exist in any quantifiable sense?
Am I rambling into the void in a witching hour fugue state? Perhaps I am vividly hallucinating as a viral infection takes hold and I develop a fever.
Latest Research Demonstrates Concerning Impact of Excessive Toddler Screen Time
How much time should toddlers spend staring at screens? With smartphones, tablets, and TVs becoming ubiquitous fixtures of modern life, this question weighs heavy on many parents’ minds.
A new study published in JAMA Pediatrics suggests that excessive screen time as early as age 1 can hamper children’s communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
