i've seen actually a few different people/users leave comments or tags about wanting to check out scavenger's reign after seeing my glowing praise of it, but also being very nervous to do so, because they're excited for a lesbian who looks like them (azi), but despite my gushing, i keep mentioning how the show is full of body horror, brutal deaths and characters having a bad time;

this is a very valid concern to have, given how a character like azi might be treated in another show, i was going in with tempered caution as well

without spoiling too much, you can lay those worries down. the show treats her very well.

if you'd like some more elaboration, i've put it under this readmore!

azi is put into stomach-churningly dire "an alien is about to eat you/do a big big body horror/assimilate you" situations the least of any of the characters, and not even because she's being given a lack of stuff to do/experience in the plot!

i think we only see her get "afflicted" by something the way sam does once, and its very mild compared to everyone else (basically she gets a really bad itchy rash after successfully prying some weird would-be paralytic puffballs that get stuck to her) and even this one instance is quickly resolved by other fauna, in a very nice sequence of scenes that is clearly a healing/relaxing experience for her.

while she is put into danger and is trying to survive like everyone else, she gets tossed about in action setpieces she makes it through with minimal injury, more than enduring The Horrors;

she gets to have better luck because more of her narrative screentime is, by design, already dedicated to emotionally bonding with her robot buddy, levi, as they suddenly and rapidly attain self-awareness, and levi encourages her to find the beauty and harmony in this nightmarish nature documentary they got marooned in.

this helps her lighten up just in time, too, because she is, very understandably, stressed almost to her breaking point by the point the show starts, having one of the better crash landing sites of any of the survivors, and i bet the other survivors all wish they had a robot tagging along to help, but being stranded and lonely and trying to not lose hope of rescue. she misses her girlfriend, and is feeling increasingly vulnerable (negative) and afraid, especially when situations occur where she gets reminded she does need help. azi starts the series being kind of mean to levi, and having to balance her confusion, worry, and then awe of levi's transformation, and let herself accept she does need that help.

azi is not the gruff grr nothing phases me nothing hurts me the writers dont have to try giving me depth i'm just the badass butch who exists to fill the death quota later so a lighter/more fem character can survive;

her vulnerability reveals itself without much fuss, and is eventually tended to both by herself and others. we get flashbacks that show she was naturally introverted, but clearly wanting to overcome that in order to socialize and get closer to someone (girls...)

she goes through it for other reasons, but i promise you, the show treats her very well, i feel. she and levi are probably-nah, definitely, my favorite characters in it, and the show would not have blown me away the way it did without them here

SR has 3 main story threads; Azi and Levi, Sam and Ursula, Kamen and The Hollow. of the three, Azi and Levi's is the heart, and is the most romantic, in multiple senses of the term. i might right a breakdown of what i love most about all three threads? but yeah

now, if you still need the "okay but does she or her gf die" y/n:

azi and her girlfriend both survive the events of the show, and reunite in one piece! they may or may not throuple up with the robot.

i sure hope they do.

OH: also, when a new antagonist shows up later in the form of a lethally pragmatic blonde woman named Kris who tries to boss azi around, i did get nervous, but Azi soured to max on her and spoke exactly what i hoped was the intent at the exact moment i felt it was critical to avoid me going "hrrmmm don't like these Implications" (the Instant azi detects blondie is trying to haze her into being a new teammate to be bossed around, azi immediately gets rightfully pissed and rejects it, and schemes to get the tagalong kid to see this also and on azi's side in the long run, which plays out and kris gets rapidly shuttled out of the plot and then pretty damn well humbled in the only blatant Sequel Hook present. i Appreciated that. Would have loved to love you Kris I love evil women but then you pulled That Stunt and now you can go wither alone in the corner

So moving to Hawkins Indiana, was supposed to be "laying low" for both of you

As Known, he the famous Punisher: and with you: not being biologically his daughter, but barring his last name put a tag on your neck as well

Luckily you were trained well and had been through one or two superheroes in your life, like your father you're pretty morally gray

Hawkins was pretty cheap, depending on where you guys lived, there was no point in a big house either so you both lived someone in a cabin off the main road, it was small but better than run-down new york apartments with no windows

You bet to be sure as soon as mothers see the new truck they start talking.

"Not bad..." Y/n spoke looking around her room, "Hey, it's got a window."

Frank chuckled leaning against the door frame as he looked back at her, "You like it?"

"It's nice." Y/n told him setting a box down "It's gonna be weird being so calm..."

"Murdock's got the landline." Frank spoke, "He'll be beggin' for another fight. It won't be long before we're back fightin'."

Y/n nodded, "Gonna miss all those shit-head Avengers. Remember the battle with me and you, we were going against Cap and that Winter Soldier guy. Those guys would just not get off our asses."

"Good memories, you'll make more kid." He told, ruffling her hair, "Get your room together."

And with that Y/n was left alone in the room

You guys like, have to go shopping for food and you feel like you in a zoo

People staring oddly at you, and kids pointing at you

Franks at another store, and you're feeling slightly anxious as you're grabbing a few things for a quick dinner

Luckily the lady checking you out is sweet:

"Don't worry about them." She spoke scanning the items, "Nothing exciting happens around Hawkins, new faces it's like seeing a celebrity."

"oh, yeah...yeah." Y/n nodded watching the woman bag everything eyes not knowing where to fall she found the woman's name tag, "Thank you, Ms.Joyce."

She smiled sweetly, "It's no problem at all. Where you coming from?"

"New York City." Y/n started, engaging in the small talk.

"Hm, the big apple," Joyce smiled, "Must be quite a change."

"yes, Ma'm," Y/n responded.

"Well, we're open 24 hours here, " She started pushing some clanky buttons on the cash register, then hitting it aggressively, "Thing never wants to work- there we are. 5.96."

Y/n handed her the money exactly and Joyce thanked her, y/n said goodbye and left out the store with the two bags in hand.

Walking back to the truck you see a radio shack as you pass, Frank's not at the truck so you dip in for a quick look

So far all of the adults are nice, nice to see a new face and make small talk.

But soon you left and Frank was waiting for you in the truck

"Got it all."

"Yeah," Y/n responded as she got in closing the door behind her, it was silent as Frank drove off.

"Did you get stared and pointed at?" Y/n asked.

"yeah."

at least she wasn't alone there

So they got home and put all the groceries away, and that's when Y/n realized the bag.

"You know, this is making me think that you're sending me to school." Y/n started holding up the school supplies, "you're not sending me to school, right?"

"Independent study ain't gonna get you nowhere here kid-"

"Are you kidding!? You said I wouldn't have to go!" Y/n argued, "You said as long as I'm on an independent study I can go on patrols with you!"

"There is nothing to go after out here, kid! What are you gonna do? Go shoot every damn animal you see in the forest?" He argued back, "We're not in New York no more, No more patrol, no more independent study! You start Monday, that's it."

Already arguing on your first day in a new city, yay

You yourself end up skipping dinner and just finish putting your room together, after all, the day after tomorrow you are a damn high schooler.

He lets you calm down, and makes breakfast in the morning for the both of you

Well he said he got some construction or quarry job- something labor intensive so you're not the only one trying to go back to normal

The days spent cleaning again and putting the few things you own away

You go into town again the next day: you had both just bought stuff for dinner the other day, and you needed actual food in the house now

You guys stick together for this one, eyes are everywhere just stare at you

"Don't worry." A boy spoke, "I think you're super cool. Like you're about to go monster hunting."

"Thanks?" Y/n spoke.

"Dustin Dustin Henderson." He introduced.

"Nice to see someone doesn't think I'm a psycho path." Y/n spoke, "Even if they are, what? ten?"

"I'm 13." "Close enough." Y/n shrugged walking off.

"Wait! Wait!" he called rushing after her.

"I heard you from across the sea, is it true?"

"What? No, I'm from New York." Y/n argued.

"That was going to be my second guess." He spoke, "And is equally as cool!"

"Look kid, I gotta get back to my dad." Y/n told him, "Can I help you with something?"

He looked at her and Y/n raised an eyebrow, "Okay I actually need something from the top shelf."

"Yeah, where is it, kid."

You helped him get what he wanted and he thanked you: calling you cool once more and then rushed off.

You had a feeling just deep down that was gonna come bite you in the ass later on, somehow, not sure how, but it would

Now you gotta go to school the next day and put up with the same shit

Literally Frank has to search your bag for weapons before you go: your so used to carrying concealed weapons because of Patrols and independent study it didn't matter, so he literally pats you down

"You can't take pocket knives to school!"

"It's not battle royal, it's who can get to the cafeteria first- that's it."

"Get in the truck."

"New York, Hells Kitchen." she responded, "L.A, San Fransico?"

well at least Hawkins wouldn't be as boring as you thought

No one really tried to introduce themselves to you

Yet King Steve the hair Harrington did almost run into you with his food tray but you stopped him catching his tray and handing back over before you go to sit down to eat

That's where you meet you guessed it: Johnathan Byers, seems like he's an eat-alone guy too

You guys don't really meet but acknowledge one another

Then some guy and his girl come to pick on him but you're not in the mood.

"You mind moving somewhere else?" Y/n called to the one and only Tommy Hagan.

"Aw, are we disrupting the new girl?" Carol laughed

"I'll be disrupting your fuckin face if you don't leave him alone," Y/n argued.

"Hey you don't talk to her like that," Tommy argued Y/n standing up.

"Or what? You're gonna punch me? Gonne slap me?" Y/n spoke walking closer to him, he stumbles back, "Gonna try and fight and you're gonna lose, you'll be on the floor within the second, I dare you, throw that punch."

Tommy had tripped over his feet falling to the ground, she had drawn unwanted attention as she towered over him in the center of the cafeteria, Y/n walking away from him to return to her food.

Johnathan thanked her and tried to introduce himself to her

Then PE happened, where she officially met Harrington.

Girls sat on the bench while they watched shirtless and covered boys play basketball

yet of course Y/n jumped in and played ball instead, girls officially hate you, being able to be that close with Billy and Steve,

the coach allowed you to play too: you only thought, he didn't want to hear about a nail being broken

Steve introduced himself during water break while, but then again you don't introduce yourself

"New Yorker thinks she's too good for us." Billy chimed in, "isn't that right?"

Y/n continued in drinking water with no response.

"Leave her alone." Steve defended.

"No let him keep running his mouth, maybe he'll finally speak some sense."

"I wouldn't get cocky with me City bird." Billy shot back

"Is that a threat?" Y/n deflected getting in his face.

"Maybe it is."

"Me and you on the court. Now."

Let's just say you really gave him a run for his money

Dude you robbed him of his money

The one-on-one game consists of you two shoving and pushing, trying to trip the other

"Is it just me." Steve spoke to a classmate beside him, "Or does the new kid seem."

"Over the top strong?"

"Yeah." Steve spoke watching Y/n knock Billy down, "i would hate to be on her bad side."

Yeah if you weren't already the talk of the school you are now

Steve once again tries to introduce himself to you.

"Steve Harrington."

"I know who you are."

"Wow, am I that popular?" He teased.

"What do you want."

"You don't take to new people very well."

Y/n opened her locker, "Okay, listen."

"All ears."

"You're the popular dude, who gets all the girls and has rich parents, yada, yada, yada, why are you talking to me. because I'm not sleeping with you."

"what? no! no!" Steve argued, "I thought you were really cool, the whole school saw you take down Tommy Hagan with just standing there. Not to mention how you took on Hargrove."

Y/n looked over at him, and he smiled trying to persuade her.

"Y/n. Y/n Castiglione."

You've officially had a "friend" according to Steve

When school's out, you're more than running to go home.

But Frank's at work, or whatever he does now and you're walking home

"hey!" Steve called, "Need a ride home?"

Y/n looked beside her, Steve driving alongside her: "Come on, Were friends now!"

Y/n sighed and walked over, opening the door, "Try anything Harrington and I'll stab you."

"Alright, Alright." Steve spoke, "Just watch the hair and the face."

The town werido and class king driving home together

But when you told him to drop you off he's confused.

"But there's no house here." Steve defended.

"I know." Y/n spoke getting out the car.

"Wait! Wait! Could I atleast get your landline?" He asked.

"What?" Y/n questioned.

"You know. The house phone." Steve spoke.

Y/n was silent, "...why?"

"To call you?" Steve questioned: what else would he need the house number phone, "You know. Invite you to go out with us. Have fun."

"In Hawkins?"

"Its not as bad as you think sometimes." Steve shrugged, "or we could, I dont know hang out somewhere."

"I give you the number you stop askin questions?"

"Absolutely."

So Steve got the land line.

Maybe having steve as a friend wouldn't be so bad.

But with Hw done and no libary card, you resort to calling Matt Murdock.

"Aw. Miss me already?" Matt chuckled.

"I would be lying if I said no." Y/n defended leaning against the wall.

"Come on can't be that bad." He tried to defend, "Make any friends?"

Y/n shrugged on her end, " Yeah I guess. This guy named Steve Harrington. Thinking about looking into him."

"Y/n you're making friends not finding people to background check." Matt defended.

"Maybe I wouldn't have to background check anyone if Frank would give me my damn knife back." Y/n protested.

"Y/n." Matt started, "I know it's hard to adjust. I do. But you're not gonna need a knife or pistol everywhere you go."

Y/n sighed. Matt was right, she'd have to adjust: and no not like you adjust on a mission, but genuinely adjust to the surrondings to a new daily life.

"If I can get Foggy to let me go I'll come visit you both." Matt told, "just because you've wiggled your way into my soft spot doesnt mean you're both not on my radar."

Y/n chuckled, Matt had become somewhat of an Uncle-ish dad-ish figure. Someone that calmed her down unlike Frank who was bad at it.

"Hey. Send me somethin local and maybe. Maybe. I'll send you somethin back?" Matt tried to suggest: keep her busy, "We could be pen pals."

Y/n smiled, "Yeah I'd like that."

He smiled, "Love ya kiddo."

"Love you too." Y/n responded and the call ended.

What you'd do to be in new york right now

Fighting crime, Sneaking out, eatting pizza from hole in the wall place, breakfast early morings after a busy night

Waiting for Frank seemed useless at this point: as early evening became late evening and late evening became night

And at 10pm steve harrington called.

"Hello?"

"Seems like I got the right number after all." Steve spoke on the other side of the phone

What you thought would be a short conversation turned into a full blown three hours,

Turns out Steve was alot of fun to talk too, all she had to do is open herself up a bit

He asked about her mostly, Typical new kid shit

Steve was a bit cocky still: but just for good fun and seemed Genuine

"You Y/n Castiglione seem like a bad ass."

"And why's that?" Y/n questioned.

"Well for one you stood up to Billy Hargrove."

Y/n chuckled, "You're still on about that?"

"Was that a chuckle? I heard a chuckle. I must be gettin' pretty good." Steve joked.

Finally you guys get off the phone

And you go to bed.

So. Maybe Hawkins wouldn't be too bad.

The first week seems Normal: Steve introduced you to Nancy Wheeler his girlfriend

You seemed off about her: she looked like one of the girls making fun of you at the store

You keep yourself quiet though, you also dont eat with them during lunch, but rather Jonathan, simply because you guys eat in silence

You and Billy contuine to go at it: occasionally shoves from each other in the hallways and eye rolls during class. You guys really go at it during PE, Especially when Wrestling came along

The girls think your aboustley imodest in your shorts and sports bra wreslting the boys

Most are just jealous your in such contact with the guys

At first there was the "that guy" who always has to make a comment about you but he really did shut up before you could even turn his world upside down.

Why? You honestly have no idea

But when the guy comes back that friday with a black eye you still have no clue

Alot of the girls sum it up to you doing it

You thought all would be fine, you feel like your being distanced from Frank though

With him working long days into nights you feel like that bond is wearing down.

But luckily Matt keeps in touch with you. Peter Parker's called you along with Kate Bishop saying they miss you

You miss them all too. But atleast Harrington calls you daily, same time: just to bullshit together

So your first week wasnt bad, during the weekend you and Frank Lazy around, playing a board game here and there

You actually send Matt that package he wanted so thats off your list.

You also go on your own little nature hikes and your not too far from the lake.

And when you come back you're weapons are displayed on your bedroom wall and you're so excited.

He says its somewhat of a present

And its not all your weaponary, just your favorites The rest is in the floorboard

Still: you put blood sweat and tears into those weapons so you were happy

Ah yes your pristine knife collection

Week one? If you had to rate it solid 7/10

Then week two starts

Oh god week two

Monday was good for no one: especially not you

She opened her locker, just for open cartons of milk and raw eggs to fall and splatter onto her chlothes, people starring and starting to laugh

Luckily you had extra chlothes in your pe locker

Or so you thought

Someone had broken into those and covered specifically the ass part of your shorts in red and brown paint and the same with your shirt.

So you just skipped Monday

It was actually as you were leaving Billy was just coming in.

"What the hell happened to you city bird?" Billy questioned getting no response as she walked past him, "City Bird!"

Still no answer he sighed, "Castiglione! Im talking to you!"

She looked back, "what the fuck does it look like Hargrove!" She argued.

It was silent between them, "Get in." He ordered, "But don't get any of that shit on my seats. Take your shoes off before you get it."

"I don't want a hand out."

"I didn't fuckin ask. Now get in the car." He told.

So he drove you home, all the way home.

You could careless at this point as he followed you in the house

He didnt comment about the house and followed you into your room

"It's either you're bat shit crazy or you're just crazy." He spoke looking at the knives on the wall as she grabbed some chlothes to change into.

She changed into a fresh set of chlothes with him in the room as his back was to her, he still looking at the collection she tossing the old chlothes in her hamper as she fell back on her bed.

"What the fuck are you wearing?" He argued.

"What?" Y/n asked looking at him, "whats wrong with what Im wearing."

"No wonder you look like shit everytime you go to school. Don't have a damn mirror in here." Billy spoke looking around, "Fuck you don't have one at all."

"Okay? And?" Y/n spoke.

"Well get ready City Bird." Billy told, Y/n raising her eyebrows, "You're dumbass is going shopping."

"Hah." Y/n laughed, "no."

Oh no

You dont get it, he picked up your ass, and DRAGGED you

"Billy!" Y/n defended, "the fuck! Unhand me! You peice of shit!"

"Stop fuckin trashin' we're going." Billy protested throwing her into the passanger seat.

So now instead of being in school you're shopping, for chlothes with Billy Fucking Hargove.

Alrighty then

He thinks you have a horrible sense of style

And you do? Kinda? You do wear just Frank's old chlothes

Atleast he got you out of cargo pants and into some denim jeans

He's got you in style now

Accidentally matching him one day will end up being a problem.

So you spent your monday bullshitting around town with Billy becoming actual friends

Not telling Frank that you skipped your second Monday wont hurt him.

I am a fan since: 2017. I had finished the Dead Space series and was emotionally devastated, and wanted to try out more sci fic games. I had heard about Mass Effect (in particular the mess that the original ending for me3 had been and the Andromeda hate wave that was going around back then) and decided to give it a go. And I ended up emotinally devastated once more lol

Favourite game of the series?: ME3. The story, the soundtrack, the whole emotional weight and all the heavy moments make it my favourite of the series.

MShep or FShep?: Femshep, but I've definetely grown to like Maleshep over the years, especially cause of the Cortez romance.

Earthborn, Colonist or Spacer?: Most of my Sheps are earthborns, but I have a couple colonists and just one spacer. Love me some tragic backstories lol

Biotics or Tech: Tech 4 ever. Incinerate, hacking, tech armour goes brrr.

Paragon or Renegade: Have always leaned more towards renegade or paragade or renegon, mostly cause I feel that a pure Paragon Shep feels almost too naive and innocent with some of the responses they have.

Favourite Class: Infiltrator, followed closely behind by Sentinel and Engineer.

Favourite Companion: A tie between Javik, Kasumi and Zaeed.

Least favourite Companion: Legion. Not that I dont like Legion in particular, its just that i dont care much about the Geth overall.

My squad selection: I dont really have a set squad. Im always rotating characters to hear their dialogues.

Favourite In-game romance: Shiara was my main ship for many years, but now my favourites are Shaynor and Shortez.

Other pairings I like: Jack and Kahlee Sanders, Javik and Zaeed, Ashley and Samantha, Kaidan and Steve, etc. Rarepairs are my jam and I have so many lol.

Favourite NPC: So many, but just to name some. Gianna Parasini, Kelly, Lorik Qui'in and the turian mechanic in Noveria.

Favourite Antagonist: The Illusive Man without a doubt.

Favourite Mission: ME1 - Feros, ME2 - Kasumi's Loyalty Mission, ME3 - Thessia.

Favourite Loyalty Mission: Kasumi's.

Favourite DLC: Omega and Leviathan.

Control, Synthesis or Destroy: Low EMS destroy is my favourite ending, cause I love all the angst and how it really shows just how destructive the war really was, and how hard the rebuilding will be. Its imo the most "realistic" version of the endings. Also really like Control and Refusal.

Favourite Weapon: The Black Widow and the Phalanx cause I like the sound it makes.

Favourite Place: Ilos cause it always makes me so nostalgic about the first time I played.

A quote I like: "There. Earth. I wish you could see it like I do, Shepard. It's so... perfect". This quote from TIM devastated me when I first heard it and it keeps giving me all the feels to this day.

I was gonna ask you this anyway actually bc you know a lot of artists but I just kept forgetting bc adhd is kicking my ass rn but since you wanted asks: do you know of any cool online stores or artists selling stickers? im trying to decorate my new laptop and I bought a few on etsy but I wanna get more

made in a lab to answer this question bc all i do is look for artists that skew cool. i will also give artists that skew cute. some artists are in between these categories, that is, they have a cute artstyle with subject matter that at least at times skews cool. my metric for whats cool and whats cute is pretty much 'based on aesthetics if this were being sold at a basement show in the 90s to 00s would someone get called gay'. if the answer is yes, its cute. if the answer is no, its cool. i dont know if this makes sense but im gonna use this categorizing anyway. i will tag the artists who are on tumblr but otherwise im naming everyone by their instagram handle because thats where i look at art and im on my phone and cant link everyone without losing my sanity

Akito Shinonome

When Akito first met you, he knew he’s seen you somewhere before. He just couldn’t put his finger on it, but knew you were a familiar face. It wasn’t until one fateful day Ena woke up earlier than usual and put something on the family TV.

He recognized your face instantly, and everything fell into place. ‘You looked so familiar because Ena would watch you all the time on TV.’

A scoff escaped the ginger’s lips, how could he forget that? Although, you have changed quite a bit since you stopped appearing on the show. The version of you practicing on the television now is so tiny compared to who you are now. Both mentally and physically.

“You’ve been a little too interested in Dance Moms Akito, you feeling okay?” Ena said teasingly. It’s not often she saw her brother paying attention to something like that.

“I’m fine. Hey- does it really matter what I watch and don’t watch?” Ena laughed at his remark, brushing him off and sending him to the Cheesecake shop they both like to pick a slice up for her.

The younger rolled his eyes in annoyance at her request, but did so anyway. At least he could get a slice for himself.

The walk was just like any other, gripping the money tightly in his pocket and only focusing on his destination. Well, that was Akito’s main focus. Coincidentally, he just so happened to see your face in the crowd. It took him a moment to recognize that it was the current you. After all, he just finished watching your younger self on an old show.

There was a silent debate in his head on whether he should go up to you or not. ‘Wouldn’t that be creepy?’ He thought. But it’s not like he’s a stranger to you… you couldn’t mind too much, right? Before he could finish the debate, the boy found himself walking your way already.

“Oh, Akito? I didn’t know you came around these parts. What’s up?” The small smile on your face felt a little forced, but Akito paid no mind to it.

“I could say the same to you, I didn’t think someone like you would come to such a crowded area.”

His words rang in your head a bit, ‘someone like me?’ You thought. While you didn’t want to acknowledge it, you knew what he was talking about. ‘I guess I can’t keep it a secret for too long to anyone.’

“Oh well you know, it’s been so long since I dropped out the show. Not many people recognize me anymore. Which actually, I’m pretty grateful for.” You said. While you liked the attention for a bit, it got overwhelming fast. Learning how to keep up with fake fronts to strangers was exhausting, though Akito didn’t seem to mind the natural you.

“Yeah, I only realized it was you when my sister put one of your episodes on earlier. But it’s cool, you’re still (Name) at the end of the day.”

Something about his words were comforting. At the end of the day, you were just a regular person. It felt nice to have someone acknowledge that without putting you on a pedestal.

“Hey, where were you heading?” You asked. Partly out of genuine curiosity, and partly out of wishful thinking. Maybe you can tag along with him.

“The bakery, I’m picking up some cheesecake for me and my sister. She sends me on these errands a lot.” He scratched the back of his head a bit. One thing you both had in common? Keeping up a fake appearance in front of certain people.

“Oh, I know the bakery your talking about, I love it there! Can I come with you, perhaps?” Honestly, you just wanted to get out of the crowded plaza. Otherwise if someone recognized you here, you’d be too exhausted to do anything for the rest of the day.

Akito didn’t mind one bit. He sensed some desperation in your voice, and assumed what you were thinking. There was a mutual understanding that both of you were trying to make yourselves look good right now.

He wouldn’t mind getting to know the other side of your personality a lot better.

Toya Aoyagi

Toya wouldn’t have known who you were until An pointed it out. He wasn’t aloud much television or internet access as a kid, and when he was, it was always monitored. So to say he was clueless would be an understatement.

It didn’t help that An was so casual about it, just casually saying;

“You see that student? They were on this show I used to watch as a kid, Dance Moms, isn’t it so cool she goes to our school?”

When Toya hears this, he thinks it might have been an idol show, and you were a former idol. It wouldn’t be anything new for An to be so normal about being acquainted with a popular figure. The dual hair boy let his curiosity get the best of him and looked up this… “Dance Moms.”

He only watched the episodes you were in, trying to understand where your coming from and what made you so special. Though when he finished, he felt more worried about you than he’d have liked.

Watching you get screamed at over messing up precise steps, seeing you get belittled to put other dancers up, it looked traumatic. He could understand why you dropped out of the show, the experience didn’t seem like a pleasant one.

The next day, seeing you in the halls felt… different. He just watched a big chunk of your childhood, and now he has to act like he doesn’t know a thing about you. Surely you wouldn’t like to be talked to cause you were on such a exploiting show as a kid? With each passing period, he noticed you more and more.

But seeing you alone throughout the day made the boy feel bad. Did you choose to be alone? Did others avoid you because of how they watched you get screamed at so much as a kid? He wasn’t sure. But he was sure something in him made him take a seat next to you on a bench.

The silence was awkward and the tension felt thick. ‘I definitely should have thought this through.’ He thinks. He clears his throat, getting ready to speak before you ended up speaking first.

“What do you want? Come here to tell me how bad of a dancer I was on that show?” Your voice was laced with disgust, emphasizing that disgust even more when you mentioned “that show.”

While Toya was no expert on dancing, he knew that your dancing wasn’t bad at all. Sure, you might have screwed up a few moves. But didn’t everyone? Yours just so happened to get more shunned than any others did.

“No, actually. I’ve seen you alone a lot, and everyone could use some company.” He said sincerely. He knew bringing up your status wasn’t a good idea, and avoided mentioning it. You appreciated that, but only a bit.

You looked frustrated. ‘Why would you be frustrated?’ He thinks to himself. He would understand being upset, or even a bit annoyed. But frustration felt like an odd emotion to feel in this situation. To him, at least.

“You’re just going to try and get close to me, get a little bit popular, and leave with that popularity. That’s what they all do, I assume you’re no different from them. Maybe your double colored hair represents how two faced you are.” That’s a bold claim…

He began piecing the puzzle together. You were always alone because you distanced yourself from everyone, and you had a fear. It made sense now, the fear of being used was a scary one to him. At the same time, he wants you to see having real friends is important, much better than being alone.

“In that case, could I prove to you I’m not… ‘two-faced’?” He asked. You almost choked on your spit at that. Why would he want to prove anything to you?

“If you try hard enough, maybe. I can’t be fooled easily by whatever your going to do.” There was a trace of amusement in your voice, as if this was the first time you’ve heard a funny joke. But with that amusement also came bitterness.

Toya made a pact with himself, and a silent pact with you. He would do whatever it took to show you having friends isn’t so bad, as long as you find the real ones. And he’s okay with being your first real friend.

Rui Kamishiro

Rui was sure he was mistaken. Someone so talented- popular- someone with such a clean reputation… wants to be with him? He couldn’t believe it.

For a moment, he thought of putting distance between the two of you. Someone like you shouldn’t be around someone like him. People would surely get the wrong idea, and then you’d lose everything. He didn’t want that for you, not at all.

The best way to avoid that outcome?

Distancing himself.

The tall alchemist almost felt like he was in junior high again. The way he pushed you away was all too familiar to the way he pushed Nene away, and he hated it. But, this was for your own good.

At least, that’s what he wanted to believe.

He found it difficult to keep you away. After class ends, you’re always running up to him with lit up eyes. It was a subtle part of his day that he didn’t realize he loved so much, he missed it.

Now he had to ignore that light and walk directly to the next class. It hurt, but he paid no mind to it. You were probably doing just as well, if not, better, without him.

Though that wasn’t the case at all.

In your eyes, Rui had left you alone in the dark. There was no explanation for the sudden cut off, there was no sign of it beforehand. It had you running in circles in your mind. ‘What could I have possibly done?’ You thought.

You attempted to confront him, multiple times in fact. But every time he sees you, he scurries away hastily. Apart of you wanted to slap him across the face, but the other part just wanted to break down in front of him and beg for an explanation.

You two were practically best friends before all this. He helped you out of being crowded by old fans and was like a bodyguard at times. Rui never cared about the person you used to be, he only cared about the person you are now. It meant a lot to you.

But now it seems he’s forgotten all about that.

You needed to corner him if you wanted an explanation. He had to be alone with no excuse to just “go away.” You just had to catch him at that perfect time. Even if it takes awhile, you’ll wait as long as you need for him.

A few days went by with 0 luck. The only time you saw an opening, he started messing with two underclassmen. One looked like he was about to snap Rui’s neck while the other was keeping him from doing so. It was an amusing sight, and you were happy to see Rui in his element. Even if you wish those two underclassmen went another way.

Making your way to the vending machines, you spotted the familiar purple haired boy fiddling with the buttons. A look of irritation plastered on his face as he begins to shake the machine from the sides.

‘Ah, something must have gotten stuck.’ You thought. This wasn’t an opportunity you could miss, it was too good. You walk up to Rui and the vending machine, helping him shake it a bit more vigorously before the soda candy finally dropped. He bent down to open the slot and retrieve his snack, and then turned to you.

“Why thank… you..” A face of realization flashed across his face. ‘Theres no way out of this one.’ He thought.

“Rui.”

“(Name)…”

Rui looked at everything except you, trying his hardest not to crack open. What could you possibly want from him that’ll put your reputation at risk?

“Can you tell me? Tell me what I did. You stopped talking to me out of no where, and keep avoiding me! Do you have any idea how hard I’ve been trying to talk to you?” Your voice cracked a bit. There was a deep sense of desperation in your voice that only a fool could miss, and Rui was no fool.

“I just thought you’d be better without me (Name). You’re talented, beautiful, and most of all, a good person. If people see you with me they’re going to think you’re a weirdo like me.” He never realized how dumb his idea sounded until he said it out loud. He wanted to distance himself because you were more important than him? ‘Pathetic of me…’ he thinks.

A silence coated the two of you, and the last thing you wanted was to indulge in it. This whole time… he was avoiding you because of your reputation? Because he didn’t want to ruin your reputation just by being around you? You wanted to laugh.

“I hope you know how happy I am being your friend. You don’t water me down to “a previous dancer on television” and you never did. I always appreciated that and I just- I just want to keep being with you Rui.” This time you couldn’t stop the voice cracks, or the lone tears falling down your cheeks.

Like all the times before, Rui pulled down his sleeve and wiped your tears. His gesture made your heart melt like it always did. He couldn’t stand seeing you cry, it was only worse you were crying because of him.

“I’m sorry (Name), if I had known… I would have stayed with you. I won’t let a mistake like this happen again, I promise.” His tone was sincere and gentle. His hands still on your cheeks from wiping your tears, it was a moment you could stay in forever.

But you weren’t going to forget what he did that easily, no matter the reason. You pulled away and punched his shoulder a little harsher than intended. He yelped in brief pain, clutching his shoulder.

“What was that for??!” He nearly laughed, but refused to give you the reaction you wanted.

“That was for leaving me in the dust for days! Do it again, and it’ll be worse.”

Rui didn’t wanna know what that meant, and deepened the promise he made in his head SK he would certainly never do that again.

Despite the stinging pain he felt, he smiled.

‘I really missed this..’

This specifically occured in the Owl House corner of this community, but everyone should be warned

I will put the rest of the post below keep reading, but for now the person I'm accussing is known as "les-the-mess" on here and "LesTheMessy" on DeviantArt (I do not remember the discord name) and she is 23/24 years of age

And lastly that a real minor has been contacted by said person and made very uncomfortable (url will not be stated for their safety)

Remember to check everything I say for yourself, if you don't believe me; I would not accuse this person publicly if I didn't consider them a real threat All except the minor's statement are available online

I am feeling sick to my stomach that this happened and I don't know how to handle this. I'm going to tell this a bit more like a story so I can get it out easier

I was on DA (DeviantArt) when I saw something odd pop up; a vore edit of Catra and Adora with Luz and Amity as prey. I looked at it, because I am always up to find more sfw safe vore creators, but it was neither safe or non-sexual

There were clearly comments engaging with the art in a sexual way and the creator didn't discourage or delete said comments and the description itself mentioned how the vore was going to end with both prey characters dying.

This person had an identical avatar and near identical username to their URL here on tumblr and I was horrified as I knew that this person had interacted with a minor despite having "minors DNI" and that already gave me a slight prickling suspicion something was wrong (later learned she has even DMed them on discord...)

They had both minors and NSFW in her DNI so I didn't have anything to go after, as they didn't have any post with suspicious stuff here or followed any weird blogs and I brushed it off initially

Her posts on DA however... Very fucking damning: almost all their edits are of minors and adults in vore or of the character The Collector (Which is a child who is also a god; he is immortal, but at the point we last see them is mentally an 8-10 year old)

Now I didn't pick the most damning thing to screenshot, as it was too gross (unbirth incest between Luz the main character, her girlfriend and Luz's mother Camila) but here is one example of one of their posts:

Odalia/nickname Mamadalia is an antagonist of the show and an adult woman

I contacted the minor (who I am already friendly with, since I wanted to support the growth of their blog) as soon as I deemed this person to be a threat and the minor has told me that she has indeed acted weird towards them, but it only clicked now after I shared what I did...

The minors own words when I asked for details:

"I can't remeber what we talked about exactly since I deleted my discord in a panic-

But it was first of with the collector, at first it seemed harmless, but I started getting uncomfortable when it entered into the vore Stuff, like, I dont why but it rubbed me the wrong way but I didnt say anything since it sorta felt…uneasy to say the least, and i feel stupid because i never said anything about it

She also talked a lot about digestion aswell, and when I brought up the no minors thing- she said it was because she managed and 18+ discord server and it was okay for us to talk, and I feel this is extremely important to mention- she reposted your art to me without credit, I cant remeber everything but i hope this is enough"

Now the last thing I will say I don't have much of an opinion on, because of how severe the situation is, but I wanted to include the full message (Split up into paragraphs for easier reading)

I might have forgotten some stuff, but this is all I can think of right now

Please just stay safe, stay away and block/report this person!

could you do a tldr after redacted do their thing? i dont follow many people from this fandom on twitter and im too scared to try and dive into it rn when shit is happening.

as of right now the situation is this:

- yesterday a twitter user made a series of tweets complaining about the "scitties" trend. redacted finds it a ridiculous thread and picks it apart in the discourse channel, but doesnt engage

- i make a tumblr post saying scar would think scitties is funny (another user adds tags that are good explaining how fandom content doesnt need to be filtered for cc consumption)

- today, a member of hermittwt dmed multiple people telling them to stop following mojo chojo

- this person cited the following claims: mojo being a hermitshipper, drawing nsfw, and reblogging art from a dsmp shipper who has drawn NSFW of c!tubbo

- the fact is that mojo has stated (back in November here on tumblr) that they dont like drawing nsfw and at most their art will be suggestive. also, OP (the one trying to call ppl out) said the thing about c!tubbo in a dm and then couldnt find evidence of it so that really goes to show how

- at least one member of redacted challenges the dm they get. they make a small amount of progress but the damage has already been done

- redacted is sick and tired of hermittwt being so weird about shipping

- multiple members of redacted are relatively large artists in the fandom and we think it would be funny to just start going "surprise! you're weird for being so concerned about this"

- members of hermittwt who are not in redacted start to see our tweets and find they agree, that theyve been sick and tired of the discourse/negativity for a long time

- the mod of the 3rd life quote bot has revealed herself as emma @strifesolution who some of you may recognize as being a longtime yogs fan (fandom is normal abt shipping and does not harass people) and as being the guy to coin the treebark ship name

- live update i think we just ratioed ori???

tl;dr we think hermittwt needs to touch grass and we're tired of being nice. maybe later or tomorrow I'll be able to put together a more coherent timeline of events, or maybe my friend will just make a dont stop the party edit and that will explain everything

i've been putting off talking about the new owl house like a chore because... i honestly didn't have strong feelings about this episode? thoughts below - but don't expect a radical new perspective from me. what i like/don't like is pretty constant. it is, and remains, the owl house. the "feel" of the show, for good or ill, is pretty consistent.

"for the future" lives up to its name - its mainly about setup. its charging up for the big finale. and its a surprisingly laid-back ep for being the penultimate one. i don't have any deep analysis, just basic, knee-jerk reactions of "things i liked" and "things i didn't like."

i liked everything with luz. like i said in these tags, i think the owl house works best when it embraces its own simplicity.

TOH doesn't really have complex characters or plots, but that's fine. i feel like its aiming for a slightly younger audience than something like SU, SPOP, or AT, at least in spirit. but its still charming - when it lets itself just be what it is; a cute litle story about the dorky weird girl who wants to be understood.

i think the shapeshifting palisman ties into what luz' story will end up being: embracing being young. not knowing what you want, like amity talked about. i highly doubt luz will actually have to choose between the boiling isles and the human world. she'll probably always have one foot in both. since the magic door uses titan blood, they can probably figure something out so that king can donate a little bit of blood every now and then without much inconvenience. so luz can travel freely, see her mom (who i don't think will end up staying on the isles) and be with her "found family" as well.

speaking of luz' mom - i wish we saw more sides of camila on the isles. so far she's just been in "mama bear" mode. i would love to see more personal, emotional reactions to this realm of magic from a geek whos way into sci-fi and fantasy.

of course, there's nothing wrong with having a character just be "the mom"... but i feel like they set her up as more, earlier on. they established her as this character with real flaws who will try to make luz more normal or pressure her to stay. but then that's just fixed now. she's just kind of a perfect, supportive mom. so that's a bit of a letdown. especially since she actually used a glyph, that would be a great moment of her either feeling empowered or scared by magic. or yknow. anything other than "protective mom."

i know some will protest that we did have camila feeling guilty about her previous actions, but i never accused the writers of forgetting about it. i just feel like she's become a little too perfect, now. i would love if the tension of her trying to control luz was carried over to the final episode.

i liked the little moment with caleb and phillip. we dont know if caleb is a ghost or hallucination, but its an effective moment nonetheless.

king and the collector... ok, there's things i liked and things i didn't. i like that their relationship has a bit of complexity to it - like, king IS genuinely scared, AND genuinely sympathizes with the collector and wants to help them. like. he is just a kid, but they're also a terrifying immortal force that can turn people into puppets and doesn't really have the emotional maturity to control themself.

however, that complexity feels a bit wasted when... sigh... belos creates forced misunderstanding drama. that part was so unnecessary. if you need belos to be your generic villain, fine, do that. but don't waste the potential of king and the collector, which could have real, character-driven conflict rooted in fear, abandonment, power imbalance, insecurity, etc... but no, we need belos to spoonfeed the narrative into a simple "didn't finish listening" misunderstanding.

sigh. ok. not like i expected better. i can't really bring myself to be too worked up about it, because yknow. its the owl house. its gonna cheapen drama to make it more digestible and with an easy, clean solution. we can't risk a single parent thinking its too mature. guess we might as well assume some blame on disney's part there, too.

huntlow is... fine? it's cute, i guess. its got that same simplicity as luz' overall story arc: just a very innocent, simple story of two underdogs who support each other and fall in love.

OH actually, i do have something to say about hunter: i'm known as a hater, but he was more tolerable this episode. i think it helped that he was more in the background? he's often the melodramatic "perfect abused woobie" center of attention. but this ep, he felt like an equal member of the main squad instead of the writer's darling. he even had moments of anger, rather than just sad and angsty, which i appreciated - even just for the sake of making him less perfect.

i still feel like flapjacks death isn't... for anything, narratively. it doesn't really serve any character development. or story developments. i've seen some people try to make it a problematic thing, in the context of hunter's lack of magic as a disability metaphor. so its weird that flapjack being absorbed into him "fixes" that. i don't know if i would go that far as to call it "yikes", but i can see it.

i think this could be resolved if maybe in the finale, hunter gives up his magic to give flapjack life again, or something along those lines. to show that he cares more about his friend than being "normal" or non-disabled. i'm sure some will disagree because they think it "cheapens" flapjacks death or whatever, but i'm gonna be real with you chief... his death is already bargain bin drama. shrug emoji.

what else... oh yeah, the old collectors being scary powerful, diamond-like Watchers of the World who can destroy anyone who gets in their way is pretty cool. i'm excited to learn how they got wiped out. it would be wild if the current collector is like the strongest of them, and either killed them all or sent them away somewhere.

forced misunderstanding aside, the most interesting drama is still king and the collector. they both have a lot of power, in a show that seems concerned with being against authority and unfair power structures. curious to see how that will be resolved. sure hope its more than just defeating belos together (again) lol.
