So it looks like it was gonna be gummy worms this time. Shrugging to themselves, they pick up the bag and turn....walking right into someone. "Shit!" They manage to slow the fall just enough that they don't land on anything important. "I-I'm okay, thanks." They hop to their feet quickly. "Are you?"

Happy Wip Wednesday! Swiftli Week is less than a week away (ack!!!)

This is a little sneak peek for March 4th's prompt (Angel + Demon / Hot + Cold / Fantasy AU), which it takes place in the same universe as (i will) stay for you ⚔️👑 Looks like there might be some,,, knight terrors,,, in this one.

Slowly, gently, he brings his hand from Lincoln’s shoulder and up the side of his neck, tilting his face in his palm to force their eyes to meet.

“You’re alright,” Taylor repeats, more firmly. “You are safe.” Then, hedging a guess, “I am safe. I’m right here, I’m not leaving.”

It takes a moment for Lincoln to make sense of what he sees, but in the space of a few heartbeats, his eyes focus upon him, and something within him seems to snap.

“You’re real?” He asks, voice hoarse and wrecked and near-childlike, and heat builds at the corners of Taylor’s eyes.

“Yes,” he breathes. “Yes, Link, I’m real, I’m here, you’re with me. No ill has befallen me.”

Link’s hand rises toward Taylor, outstretched, and wavers mere inches from his face, its fingers trembling something fierce.

Taylor takes it in his grasp, brings it gently to rest upon the side of his own face, and feels he may cry at the sound of his knight’s relieved sigh.

“Oh, my sweet prince,” Lincoln murmurs, voice and hand shaking in equal fervor as his calloused thumb strokes weakly along his cheek. “I thought - I thought I lost -”

Taylor lets the tears fall.

“You haven’t,” he replies. “You won’t. Not ever.”

“You - you know you cannot promise me that,” Lincoln says, and even with the syllables stretched out between sniffles, the notion is every bit as infuriatingly Lincoln as it always has been.

tomorrow i'm gonna get a surgery to remove a cyst on my wrist and i'm so pumped for it. the friggin thing has been there for years and it's annoying. it's especially annoying bc both of my brothers have also had cysts, but they went away on their own within a year, so idk what's so special about mine. i guess it's more re-cyst-tant

#heheheheheh #i am so funny #but yeah i am excited to get it out it has been bothering me for YEARS #i don't even remember when it showed up #there are two things that i tend to associate with its origin #but honestly it doesn't really matter much because IT'S NOT GONNA BE THERE ANYMORE BY NEXT WEEK :DDD #plus i think i'm gonna get a scar afterwards so that'll be sick B)#usually i give have a bunch of inexplicable bruises so a scar will be a nice change of pace #(i get bruises bc i'm clumsy and have really bad spatial awareness)

You know exactly why your fight or flight’s kicking in. It’s all fine and dandy when the big form gets pat on the back or elbowed or held back by the wrist. Achilles has got your back and there’s nothing your teammates can throw at the big form that Atlas can’t shoulder.

(You’d say they’d never hurt you like that but you’re literally plan b for dealing with a compromised Superman. Come on now. You’re getting defensive not being completely irrational.)

But none of these people have ever touched your small form before, have never even laid eyes on it before today. You know she couldn’t have known that this would scrape against old wounds. You’re also not feeling particularly generous at the moment.

Because the last person who grabbed you without your permission got bit.

#first day without the cats :(#VERY fucking sad and not feeling great about truly being alone rn #but i called my momma and we had a really nice chat so i'm okay #still sad and thats not gonna go away easily but i feel a little less alone at least #doctors appointment tomorrow!!!!! very excited and also suuuper nervous but val and probably either dee or si #will be fronting instead of me because if i front i Will Not Go im terrified of the doctors #but yeah hopefully this leads to meds asap i REALLY need a will to live esp now that im super duper fucken alone aurrgh #but im also burning the strawberry melon incense i got on my bday and it is like instant lil kick of happiness #what a lovely smell the world can be so wonderful if such a thing can exist in it !!#and one day i will be in a place where i can burn my cinnamon incense :DDD #but ya. just a lil update for those wondering and just Talking into the void. i already miss my babies #i miss them a whole bunch
