Leo has been the leader since day one

Alright, I haven't seen this conversation yet, but I can't be the only one who's noticed this. This isn't my usual post- not that I post often- but art is WIP.

Leo has been the (back seat) leader of the Mad Dogs since day one.

Mobile users, RIP no seriously, you are digging your own grave

In the first two episodes he shows his potential, he thinks ahead, guides the team, makes astute observations, shows his knowledge of his team (including himself), and makes his own plans (even if Raph has made a plan, he almost always has his own).

I'll go through the first two episodes chronologically.

First is Mystic Mayhem.

-This is a good example of understanding himself-

Leo: So . . . You guys from Jersey?

Mikey: Really Leo?

Leo: What? I can't make a joke in the middle of the craziest thing ever? That's how I cope.

-Leo stops his brothers and forces them to think ahead-

Mikey: Should we just ask him for it?

Leo: And what do we say when he asks us why we want it? That we need to go after our best friend, who disappeared into a wall after our priceless weapons were destroyed by mystical jogger guys?

-Not only is Leo showing how well he knows his dad, he executes his own plan when Raph's first plan fails, without asking his brothers first-

Raph: How'd you get that?

Leo: You know he always passes out after milk and cake.

-Now, this example is a debatable one, yes it shows his understanding of Raph, but it may also just be to shown to establish relationships in general since this was the first episode-

Donnie: A few hours ago I would have called this foolish and impossible. Now I just call it foolish.

Mikey: Say what you want Donnie. Raph'll pull is off 'cause if he doesn't, we'll loose our best friend forever.

Leo: Mikey, don't say that. You know he chokes under pressure.

Donnie: Leo, he's even more self-conscious when you talk about it.

-Here, while happy to see April again, he keeps the team on the task that got them in the hidden city in the first place. It can be argued if this was on purpose or not; but it still showcases his natural ability to lead-

Donnie: According to my calculations, we are in a tertiary-metaverse.

April: Actually, I've been doing some exploring, and we're in a hidden city deep under New York!

Leo: So where's the dog thingy?

-There are even subtle moments where Leo takes the lead; after Donnie takes out Draxum's robot with his tech, Leo is the only one talking to Draxum directly for the team. This is another debatable example, you could say Leo is just being the face man here, but I'd like to include it-

Draxum: Accidently impressive. With a little bit of training you can be formidable as I hoped.

Leo: Okay, well, great, and since you're surrendering. . .

Draxum: Baron Draxum does not surrender.

Leo: Okay, well, when he gets here we'll deal with him. . . oh, ho, ho, I see. You're doing that whole "sinister talking in the third person" thing.

-Here, he is the only one to once again question Raph's decision, and present his own idea instead-

Raph: We just defeated a boss villain. We're heroes. We deserve a name like Mad Dogs.

Leo: Mad dogs? You don't think something like Mutant Ninja Turtle Teens or. . .I don't know. Maybe - we'll keep brain storming.

The very next episode has soooo many parallels to the movie.

Origami Tsunami.

The dialog is long on this one and, despite the humor, throughout this scene Leo guides his brothers to the best mission for their skill level.

Mikey: Yo, Leo, we're gonna be heroes!

Leo: Okay, what's the plan? Solve the city's rat problem?

Splinter: Hey now. I am standing right here.

Raph: Pfft, no way. We're crime fighters!

Donnie: Okay, check this out. The Spine Breaking Bandit!

Raph: Yeah. Go big or go home!

Leo: Yeah, go home in a stretcher. What else you got?

Donnie: Hmm, well this one's kind of lame. Someone stole paper from a delivery truck.

Leo: Not on my watch! This is exactly the kind of junior level mischief we can put an end to.

-Leo then hypes his brothers up for this mission-

Raph: Really? That'll make us heroes? But it's only paper.

Leo: It's only paper. I'm so sorry. Donnie, what did he say? Did he say it's only paper?

Donnie: Yup.

Leo: Did he say it's only paper?

Donnie: Yes, he did.

Leo: Okay! That's what they all say. You think the road to hero town is paved in real crime? No! It's paved with the tears of the poor paper man. And who helps that guy? I'll tell you who; we are who!

Raph, Mikey, and Donnie: Yes!

-When Raph's first plan fails, and he sees how discouraged his brothers get...-

Donnie: Uh, quick question. Did we seriously get schooled by paper thieves?

Raph: I didn't swoop like a boss. I swoop like a noob.

Mikey: Man, this seemed like a really cool idea until we didn't succeed at it.

-...so, Leo gives a "hero" speech, like he does in the movie. Although this motiving speech needs some help, he still tries-

Leo: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Where'd my brothers go? Mikey, where's your. . .legendary optimism? Raph, where's your, ya know, your go-getter attitude? And Donnie, where's your. . . your thing, your - emotionless passion?

Donnie: Here.

Leo: We can still catch these lame old paper crooks and be heroes!

-In continuing this scene, we see the Leo make and execute his own plan, now that Raph's impulsive plan has failed-

Donnie: Yeah, that's gonna be hard. This was the last paper store in town.

Leo: Hmm. . . or was it?

Donnie: Yeah, I. . .I literally just said that.

-Again he takes the lead talking to the foot clan first (could just be that he's a face man here, but nonetheless)-

Leo: Okay twerp. . . and surprisingly big man. It's four against two. So what you say we just call it a day, right?

-Leo uses his observations to guide the team, here when the foot are making their origami soldiers, Leo realizes taking out the paper ninjas isn't a solution-

Leo: We're getting no where fighting these guys. We gotta take out the source.

-After Raph ~properly~ uses his ninpo for the first time, Leo again uses his surroundings to find a solution, in doing so he shows both guiding his team, and astute observations-

Leo: Hm. Mikey, the sprinklers!

-Even at the end of the second episode, they look to Leo for reassurance and support-

Mikey: So. . .does this count as a win?

Leo: Well, I don't know. Let's think about it. Did the bad guys get their big supply of paper? Uh, no. Did they build their army of soilders? No. No they didn't. Are they otherwise Thwarted, and we unscathed?

Raph, Donnie, and Mikey: Yes!

Leo: Hero mission accomplished, my friends!

Alright.

First off, if you've made it this far, thanks for attending my not even close to life changing ted talk. I hope you have enjoyed my rant.

In conclusion,

Leo has the potential to lead, just prefers to do as little work as possible. He almost always passes resonsibility onto someone else, however when he has no other choice but to lead he does it well without realizing it. There are many other subtle examples sprinkled throughout season 1 and 2.

I have more thoughts on this, but this post is already the height of the empire state building.

We sadly don't get too much content with them but like-

I remember I was kind of introduced to this ship because I followed one of my idols who shipped it and made fanart of it and it was on DA. This was back before it got deactivated my account.

I LOVE 'Eyes of the chimera' episode. They were basically supporting each other all the way.

Ngl the transfem Leo lovers made me love it even more because I love me some lesbians. TMNT is already filled with some lesbians so why not add more!

I love how April is always by Leo's side and we see how much she cares for him.

I love the idea that April used to be into Space Heroes and then Leo got her back into it.

(For those who headcannon as both autistic) they would so totally talk and rant about their hyperfixation.

I wish though they had more moments together.

They are legit underrated.

The ship will get 9/10 for me.

It's okay at best

I do feel like they could have become very close friends if Cass left junior under Leo's care in the bad future.

They are both reckless and over energetic and yet still have a lot of insecurities and issues that they have to cover it up.

I've seen and been bombared by a ton of art regarding this ship on YT.

Controversial opinion: It's cute.

They both have the same energy and another controversial opinion but, Leo has a way closer relationship with April then Donnie. I've kind of seen more scenes with them together then with her and Donnie.

Though just like last time I prefer her being an older sister figure to him that Leo looks up to.

They both care for each other and love each other no matter what.

April pretty much comforts the turtles about their insecurities so she would do the same with Leo.

Probably a 6/10 or something. Again, prefer them as siblings but don't hate it. I'll kind of indulge in it tbh-

Mutant Mayhem Leo x April:

Better then 2012 Donnie's lmao-

They do have sweet moments

It's sweet they went to prom together

Mah boi was simping real hard

I feel like they should have gotten more scenes

I do feel like maybe April and Leo won't really happen or be cannon though. I don't know man. I'll see how it goes in the Tales of TMNT that will happen in 2024.

I'm really hoping they don't make it into a toxic love triangle or make it creepy or toxic.

I'll take this ship anyway as one of the only few good Leo romances.

It took them after 1987 to finally give Leo a good love interest.

For now, 7/10. I feel like a bit too high but you know what, whatever. The ship is okay so far.

sometimes I think about the one time I told my dad that I might be autistic, to which he proceeded to say "eh, I don't know, I don't really see it in you" then I took two separate online tests and they both said I was highly likely

anyway enough about me because who wants to hear me rant about myself

whenever I do hcs I do this weird thing where I write the same situation 4 times in a row and then just tweak it a little bit so it doesn't look like the same thing and then just put the characters in the situation and make them do what I think they'd do but I'm gonna shut up now so

here you go! hope you enjoy ❤️

Leo:

-Leo isn't the best at dealing with bullies

-He still hasn't quite built up that confidence yet

-But if he were to ever see you getting bullied, he would stand up for you

-One day Leo's walking through the halls

-He spots you hanging out with your friends

-He stays and watches for a minute because he's glad to see you getting along with people

-But he slowly starts to tune in to what they're actually saying to you

-And he realizes that they're not getting along with you, they're bullying you

-He really wants to help, but he's never dealt with a bully before

-But for his sister, he could get over it

-He walks over to where you and starts trying to defend you

-He's so nervous, his voice is shaking a little

-You don't understand what he's doing, but he explains to you that they're not being nice

-Eventually the bullies leave, and you thank him for being so brave and standing up to them

-Which makes him very happy

Raph:

-Raph is absolutely one to start insulting them back

-If you're gonna talk smack about his sister, he's gonna talk smack about you

-One day, Raph drops you off with your friends, then meets up with his friends not too far away

-He occasionally looks your way to check on you

-But one time when he looks over at you, he notices all of your friends pointing and laughing

-It wouldn't set him off normally, but he saw they were pointing and laughing at you

-He paused him conversation and quickly made his way over to you

-You turned around as everyone's attention turned to the approaching figure

-Without hesitation he started going off on them

-Throwing out every insult he could come up with in his fit of rage

-One of them even started crying

-After he was done with them, he turned to you to make sure you were okay

-You were just confused

-You asked why he got so mad, and he starts yelling about how they were actually insulting you

-After he calms down, he brings you over to his friends and tells you to not hang out with those people again

Mikey:

-Mikey would try and resolve the situation peacefully

-He tries to tell people that it's not cool to bully others

-You take Mikey one day to meet your friends

-He knows you're not the best with people

-So he's excited to see that you've made friends on your own

-He introduces himself and starts getting along

-His sense of humor is good and he makes a lot of jokes

-But he starts to notice that a lot of the jokes get turned towards you

-He stops laughing when the jokes are made about you

-He tries telling your "friends" to knock it off

-They don't listen, so Mikey eventually starts lecturing them about their rude jokes

-They try to convince you that they weren't being genuine

-But Mikey pointed out to you that they were being a lot more mean than him or his brothers ever were

-They got fed up and walked away, claiming that Mikey was "being a buzzkill" and "should learn to lighten up"

-But you just thanked him for helping you

Donnie:

-Donnie has seen tons of TV and movies

-So he knows exactly what it's like when people get bullied

-And he likes to cut the problem off at the source

-One time he saw you hanging out with some people

-They were laughing and smiling, but then he started to listen in

-And he immediately recognized that they were laughing at you

-He walked over and grabbed your arm, trying to lead you away

-Confused, you asked what was happening

-He quickly made up some excuse to get you away before leaving

-After a minute, he turned around and apologized for taking you

-But he also told you that you were being bullied, and they weren't joking around like the turtles do

-He didn't want it to escalate and get your feelings hurt

-Because he's seen how bad bullying can get, and what it can do to people

-And he wouldn't ever want that for you

Hi there! I just got into your au, and usually I really, really genuinely do not like oc's that are in canon. And it always takes me so many tries to get into it because it just seems so fun, however there's smth about it that I just never like and nothing ever works out? Came across your au, read first chapter and I was already in it. Read everything in one night, EXACTLY my cup of tea and I just don't understand? You added something, I don't exactly know what but I sure am loving it!

And the one-shots are my second favourite part! Nice to read, have a fun adventure in it (or gut-wrenching angst) and it's just so well written, having zero problems with following along. On the last chapter, in the comment section, you mentioned that you were gonna do a one-shot next. So if I may, could we get a small preview? Nothing big and if you don't want to or it's meant to be more surprise-like then, no need, no pressure!

Happy you like my AU, fic and Chula!

I don't think I added anything so much as...took something away. See, what a lot of people do with OC insert fics is that they essicially make their OC the main character. There is nothing wrong with that, of course, but the issue is that you're going to have a lot of people not want to read it within a few paragraph.

Because, simply put, we read fanfiction to read about an established cast and world. Even if a fic isn't focused on the main characters we still see that main cast as a large part of the plot and, thus, if a fic is focused on a minor character, it's like watching a sidekicks filler episode. It's why I only have 4 out of 54 chapter from Chula POV in the main story of Hunter and Turtles. I wanted to keep her as a side character so I could keep the feeling of the fic being like another season from the show....but with more bloodshed and angst exploration.

That isn't a hard rule, of course. The One-Shot Series starts with a Chula POV chapter and most of those one-shots are from her POV but I always intended that one to be mostly for me to write whatever I wanted and to roll with it (notice the number of non-canon shots in that). And I wrote my Mutant Mayhem fic from an OC's POV because I tried with a few other perspective and his was the best choice. Even then, I tried to keep him as an outsider to the main cast instead of front loading the fic with his life story or something like that.

As for the One-Shot thing. I want to do some Canon One-Shots with Leo and Chula before I start posting the third Arc for the series. Mostly because Arc Three is going to be....quite a shift and there are some one-shots that a few readers have been excited to see. It's a lot easier to crank out some short, single chapter stories when I don't have to juggle all the heavy main plot stuff at the same time.

And since you've left such a wonderful ask in my Inbox....yeah, I can do a lil preview for one of the one-shots under construction.

Chula had been gone too long.

The thought had flitted through his a few times over that last couple of hours but when the sun started to go down, it became a mantra.

When they landed on this planet, Chula had passively mention that she was going to find some work for a few extra cdit while the ship refueled and cooled down. And Leo hadn’t bat an eye at that because Chula did that a lot, ventured onto planets for some day-labor for some extra cash in her pocket.

Leo didn’t mind staying on the ship to wait for her to come back….and since she hadn’t called him out for occasionally sneaking off she didn’t know he’d sometimes explore a little.

But she didn’t ever stay gone the entire day. The longest she’d ever been gone was nine hours and even that time she’d stomped into the ship grumbling about contractors underselling the job to try and give her less money.

But it had been easily past that at this point and Leo was worried. And she wasn’t answering her comm. Either. Sure, she didn’t always have time or signal but Leo was pretty sure she’d find a way to reassure him if he tried to call ten times.

But he hadn’t heard a peep.

So he grabbed his hood, opened a picture of Chula on his tablet and ventured into the settlement.

All I'll say is, some of these choices are quite safe, and not as beloved as others. Surely NIMONA and TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: MUTANT MAYHEM should've had slots, no? The Globes are a totally different world, one with a weird history... And sometimes their nomination choices in animated features, and other categories, reflects that. I will say that it's nice that another anime movie that isn't Ghibli got some love here. I myself found SUZUME to be a pretty solid picture, and it's neat to see it - and anything by Makoto Shinkai, really - get some recognition.

And sometimes, the nominations give us a good idea of what the Oscars will nominate.

For the Oscars, my predictions are still...

THE BOY AND THE HERON - Miyazaki, critically acclaimed, easy nomination.

CHICKEN RUN 2: DAWN OF THE NUGGET - The first film is more or less why there's even a Best Animated Feature category to begin with. DreamWorks aggressively campaigned for the film to get a Best Picture nomination, and Aardman more often than not gets nod for a stop-motion movie. Only exception was EARLY MAN, which few people saw or heard of.

NIMONA - Critical darling, infamous as the queer movie that big bad Disney scrapped. Plus, it's fairly progressive. The Oscars sometimes like movies like that, because Hollywood loves to look progressive. (When they're far from it, but that's another story.)

SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE - Obvious reasons.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: MUTANT MAYHEM - Another critically-acclaimed film, bold art style and animation choices.

I'd be surprised if SUPER MARIO BROS., even though it was this year's biggest animated movie, gets nominated. The critical reception for it was so-so, and it could have a LEGO MOVIE effect where those who are nominating see it as a commercial or something. (Or whatever weird reason the animation branch didn't nominate LEGO MOVIE for Best Animated Feature of 2014.) ELEMENTAL and WISH were not critical darlings, though the former did have fantastic legs and staying power. Still, I see both of them sitting this race out. The last time Disney was left out of the race altogether was for the animated movies of 2011, their offerings that year were a CARS sequel most people disliked and a WINNIE THE POOH movie that no one even saw to begin with. DreamWorks I don't think has much of a shot, either. None of the TROLLS movies ever got nomm'ed and they never get glowing critical reception, RUBY GILLMAN, TEENAGE KRAKEN was straight up dumped. Do most people even know it exists?

The wild card, I feel, is actually MUTANT MAYHEM. I feel many are overlooking it. But the Academy could be weird about yet another TMNT movie and subsequently pass on it, and go for a safer choice. But at the same time, it was a small sleeper hit and one of the better-received animated movies of the year. It was kinda lowkey how it just showed up, and then took people by surprise. I know I absolutely dug it and put up there with my favorites of the year. I remember some people even remarking that they liked it better than ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE. But I have it in my predictions because... Again... ELEMENTAL, WISH, TROLLS 3, RUBY GILLMAN, MARIO, what else is there really? Does MIGRATION surprise us all? Illumination sometimes gets a nom, and MIGRATION - being from acclaimed French director Benjamin Renner, whose ERNEST & CELESTINE was nominated in its US release year - could be it. Coincidentally, we got an ERNEST & CELESTINE sequel this year... Which could also possibly get the nom if MUTANT MAYHEM doesn't?

I'm gonna say that slot is a three-way fight between MUTANT MAYHEM, MIGRATION, and ERNEST & CELESTINE 2. I feel the other four are secure...

But we shall see... Not that the awards really mean anything in the long run, it's just fun to track. Like watching a race or something, it's not life-or-death, just something fun.

TMNT: SATURDAY MORNING ADVENTURES #5

SEPTEMBER 2023

The other half of the turtles and frogs fight against Baxter Stockman.

This book is walking a very fine line between what the art team should and shouldn't do, and I am under the impression that the line is still blurry. Should they have a more manga approach to storytelling? Or should they try to keep the cartoon format?

I don't have an answer yet, but I have a feeling that a manga format would work much better. There are just too many characters and very few pages to explore them all.

As a result, these past two episodes only resulted in one small thing for the overall arc. But if you somehow skipped this issue, I am not even sure it would matter.

Having said, that, the art is what makes the book so amazing.

The past few episodes made it clear that the stories were taking place between seasons 7 and 8. Since Baxter never appeared in last three seasons, they have a lot of freedom to work with him. They also solve the inconsistencies in his late appearances with a wink to the camera.

However, this is where the continuity gets weird...

That looks a lot like the Hall of Science in the New York's World Fair. If you remember those first red sky seasons episodes, Shredder and Krang moved there after they "evicted" Berserko. Does this mean we are already in season eight?

Or is this intentionally ambiguous?

I think it's OK if they prefer to do every adventure in some kind of timeless season, but they should probably make that a little more clear. By adding elements of the eighth season, I have no option but to assume time passed since issue 1, and Krang already faced Berserko.

Of course, the second episode of that season was the last appearance of the Rat King, and he had a very different look then... since we just saw the Rat King, does that mean we will see him change looks in this book? We'll see. Next episode will be about Chrome Dome.

One thing I really love about the art in this issue, is the use of perspective. It's something that for one reason or another, wasn't that common in the TMNT Adventures title, and it works perfectly here, especially in panels with the Turtle Blimp.

It was also a good idea to add a roll call at the beginning so that we could learn which one was Genghis and which one was Napoleon (although in this case, coming after Mutant Mayhem, it was a little easier to identify Genghis).

Anyway, as I said, I love the art, but the story was a bit inconsequential. It was more like a bucket list of pending ideas that never materialized in the cartoon.

I also feel a bit conflicted about suggesting the manga format, because the main title has struggled with pacing since its conception, and having a standalone turtle story every month is kind of refreshing. But I don't know... I am feeling like more could be done with the format.

Again, maybe the writers and artists in this book are still trying to figure out what works better. We'll have to wait and see what happens.

-Pie and Retasu are my OTP.

-I think Pie and Tart are underrated and misunderstood as characters. Pie's not emotionless and Tart's not just a bratty kid.

-Masaya is my boy, and I will fight his haters.

-Kishigo is a horrible ship. I like Quiche, but he's horrible to Ichigo during the series. At best, I could see them as friends, but nothing more.

Transformers

-TFA is my favorite continuity. Optimus, Blackarachnia, and Sentinel are my favorite characters.

-Sentinel may be a jerk, but he's not irredeemable. Season 3 was literally setting up him and Optimus becoming friends again.

-Optimus and Blackarachnia were my first OTP, and I still love them. The drama is so enticing.

TMNT

-LOTUS BLOSSOM IS MY GIRLLLL

-Every continuity is good. Y'all are just mean.

-1987 is my favorite continuity.

-I think the writing in 2012 kinda sucks, but it was my first and is still one of my favorites.

-2003 has rlly good writing and I can’t recommend it enough.

-Rise is good too, I just don’t have a personal bias for it, sorry.

-I’M SO EXCITED FOR THE MUTANT MAYHEM SHOW!!

-I like the bay movies, 2007, the first 90s movie, and the Batman vs TMNT movie.

-I'm more of a casual fan of the IDW comics, but I still like them. I really wanna read the Mirage, Image, and Archie comics, but I haven't started yet.

-My main ships are leolotus, 2012 apritello, 2003 jhannatello, 1987 and 2012 ramona, and 1987 kalangelo.

-I don't like leo//rai.

-Lotus Blossom and Karai are not the same person. Periodt.

I don't think I have to say this, (I hope I don't have to. Please make this a post I regret because it was completely unnecessary.)

TMNT COMMUNITY PLEASE BE WARY TO NOT SPOIL ANYTHING ABOUT MUTANT MAYHEM!!!!

I haven't seen any spoilers yet, but please be careful for a bit. You don't have to not talk about it, just don't talk about events unless it's under a read more. Even things like "can't wait to see reactions for this character, or when the thing happens," can be considered spoilers although mild. I've walked into movies before not being told specifics, but knowing what was going to happen the entire movie as I filled in context clues.

For example, if someone says "character a is so funny," and character a dies, I know character a must come back at some point so they can be funny. This actually happened to me. Entire movie spoiled. "I can't wait to see how you react to the character b and character c scene!" This means someone (or just me) could spend the entire movie asking if this is the scene instead of enjoying it.

Some people ARE okay with spoilers, but some don't want spoilers. This is why I ask spoilers are under read mores for longer than you would deem necessary. Tag posts with spoilers too so people can filter them out. That way people who are okay with spoilers can still read them, but those who don't can avoid them.

ALSO!!!! Sometimes movies release later in other countries, so don't assume everyone's seen it the first day of release. And to everyone seeing it early (I'm so jealous of you), thank you for being spoiler free so far.

AGAIN!!! Be excited! Say you loved it! Say you are excited for the rest of us to see it! Don't talk about characters, scenes, and even out of context scenes without a spoiler warning. Talk about it with your friends in private, or under read mores so everyone can choose how many spoilers they want.

Somebody tell me the reason why the tmnt characters have to go through so much

Out of all of the fandoms that I have ever been in, this one has the most amount of angst that I have ever seen. And it's not just the fact that it's in every universe, that there's a wide expanse of characters. It's the fact that it's the same characters over and over again, just with different looks, different stories, and yet they still go through so much shit no matter what. And the worst part is that through every universe, no matter what, Leo just has to get sacrificed. Not trying to make the post about him, but that's just a very wide example of my point.

Like I could write a whole essay on all the shit the IDW turtles have--and still are for that matter--going through. I haven't caught up in a while and quite frankly I don't know if I want to at this point with the glimpses I've seen of what's happening to Donnie right now.

Is there a point to them going through so much?? Why do they get put through so much? I love them to death and I love angst but sometimes it's like. It's like it's almost too much when I overthink it and I actually get angry/upset. Am I the only one??

Legit I have three different Rise!Leo-centric fics bookmarked in my A03 (Including Every Night the Longest Day. That recent chapter made me fucking sob and is mainly why I am making this post augh) and I'm just. Is there any popular Mikey-centric fics?? Any popular Raph or Donnie- centric fics???? Hell is there even any fics for any universe that's simply just the boys being happy and full of fluff and comfort??? Because god yes I love angst but you guys seriously go all out and half the time I'm just staring at my phone screen like. what. the fuck

The Parasitic Butterflies Apocalypse

You know what's been keeping me up all night? What the heck these things are, the butterfly that just *IMMERGED* from Ivan's crunched paper

Here are some things I could conclude about this

it is somehow related to Ivan turning into Stoneheart

It's connected to a specific object, here; a piece of paper

My best bet about this thing is that it's a parasite, possessing it's hosts' body and using it to cause mayhem which it somehow feeds off of. I call it The Parasitic Butterfly.

It's origins are unknown and for all we know, this thing is still at large meaning that as long as it's not defeated, it will continue to host innocent civillians, turning them into evil villains.

It may even lead to a full-on apocalypse.

Is there a supervillian sending them out? are the mutants of regular butterflies? We may never know.

But don't panic just yet because we have the greatest superheroes ever to protect us: Ladybug and Chat Noir!
