Now here’s a moment of me rambling about this one I strongly dislike it but I’m moving and this idea wouldn’t stop rattling around in my brain so I drew it in a sorta speed run fashion over the past day (it took me like three days to actually start it) there are a few concepts I’ve been wanting to elaborate on that I implemented here.

When I heard The Ballad Of Lucy Gray somehow my brain immediately was like “hey ya know what would be sad?” And I was like :0 and I thought about it for ages and here we are (bonus points because I physically cannot get this song out of my head now as we speak I am packing and singing it)

I initially wasn’t gonna draw this at all and just let it rattle around in my head but “I know the soul that you struggle to save” really kinda sealed this one for me and because I have to be sad now YOU have to be sad

I was gonna draw the wound on Mind’s neck because that’s where I believe he was shot but I couldn’t get it to look right (I didn’t get it to look right here either) but this was the best bet to convey what happened. This was also my first time drawing a gunshot wound (I had to look up a reference sorry FBI agent🙃)

A lil hc for these designs, aside from their stars they glow independently but when they are injured the affected area dims as with the stars around it this concept has been with me ever since I started drawing them and is why I didn’t give soul his half and half deal though I’m rethinking that.

I wish Mind’s arm looked a bit different I think I’ll redraw him in short sleeves because with his arm I was going for an X-ray look along with the darkened gears to show that he does indeed have mechanical hands I don’t think I made it look as good as I could’ve.

This all came to be because I was gonna draw these three as Pokémon trainers (that did not happen) but I was gonna make Soul a psychic type trainer, Heart a fairy type trainer and Mind an electric type trainer (lol) I just really wanted to draw Soul w an Espeon ngl Dw btw that will happen.

Kasumi - Black Jewelry (Like I said,these options tell me nothing about what her song will sound like but this one is pretty and elegant but in a Kasumi way,it kind of reminds me of a ballerina outfit which is cute - my second pick would be White Elegance bc it’s pretty)

Shizuku - Pink Frill Dress (Finally,Shizuku outfit options that aren’t all blue but this one is my favorite bc it’s very soft and princess-y not much else to say but I like this one a lot - my second pick would probably be Cherry Cherry it’s very retro and cute)

Karin - Amethyst Dress (All of her options are amazing so I’m okay with ANY of these winning,but something about this one is calling to me it makes me hope that her song will be jazzy like please. Please Lantis / Bushiroad I don’t ask for much give Karin a jazz song but Blue Moon Night is also SUPER pretty)

Ai - Coral One-Piece (From what I can gather from these outfits,her song might show us a softer girlier side to Ai’s usual bright colorful happy in-your-face sound /minus Diabolic muiler of course/ which I think is very nice and this one to me fits that image the most,it’s very soft and pretty but still very her + Lavender Lace is also v cute)

Kanata - Black Ribbon (They really looked up “jirai kei” and picked the first outfit they saw huh dhdjdj,,but it’s very cute and maybe tells us this will be a different sound for her which is fun but my other pick would be Purple Fairy it’s kinda plain and looks like any other Kanata outfit BUT it’s cute and could be accessorized w/ fairy wings or something,I wouldn’t mind it winning but like cmon. Black Ribbon is SO CUTE)

Setsuna - Punk Border (Ok,so this wasn’t my first pick initially but after some thought…it’s REALLY grown on me solely for the idea that she could have a pop punk type solo and that’s smth Setsuna’s never done,which this outfit fits that the best - it’s still a rock-ish style costume so it still suits her,but again it’s new for her + maybe School Rock could fit that too?? That was my initial choice bc it also looks SUPER cool)

Emma - Colorful Stage (Ngl,they never give Emma great options like these aren’t BAD they’re better than her L!L!L! choices but idk I only chose this one bc it’s cute and more “modern” looking which isn’t common for her but maybe my second pick is Denim Stitch it makes me think she could have like…a folk-y country style song like cowgirl Emma anyone?)

Rina - Neon Cat (This is another one that’s just undeniably the best choice imo,like it’s so bright and so Rina-y it’s just perfect for her but if I had to choose another one it would be Motion Girl it’s pretty cute)

Shioriko - Undead Celeb (Once again…what is her song going to sound like??? Is Shio finally in her goth / chuuni era? Idk but I love it,this one is pretty and kind of makes me think of a period piece - my second pick would most likely be Royal Skeleton solely for the name and the collar)

Mia - Fresh Navy (Signeul bonae signal b- sorry anyways man…I wanna know which Love Live staff member just HATES Mia bc all of these are so blah and plain compared to the others,to me this one is the only cute one besides maybe Argyle POP but what is her song gonna be about?? Several years ago, I started making this list of all the alt/indie/rock songs I associate with Seventeen! It’s my favourite genre of music, so I’ll be doing these for a few groups.

This was originally going to be a GFX series, so Jeonghan and Jun have links to my GFX posts. Otherwise, links are to the songs on YouTube!

The warmth this song radiates reminds me of Shua

I think it fits his vibe and he could sing it!

I feel like Junhui could sing a ver. of this where the tune is the same but has different instruments and less of shouting

Like the verses definitely fit!!

Junhui’s softness matched with Alec’s!! They both got soft voices like cotton candy

I still think Junhui’s voice is very purple and fits this song

Kung Fu — IAMCOUCHSURF

This song is definitely more of a fun/silly vibe than the others, which gives me Hoshi vibes!

I had another song for Hoshi that he could dance to, whereas this one is more of just a song to jam to than one he’d dance to

Though the singing style sounds kind of like Hoshi (in a rock context)

Man or a Monster — Sam Tinnesz ft. Zayde Wølf

Ngl if Wonu sang this... I would cry

The vibe of this song fits him really well imo

And the lyrics are smth I could write a fic abt w/him!! The point is it’s very vibey

Way Down We Go — KALEO

The piano is an immediate tie in to Jihoon's vibe

Soft indie rock!! Maybe not something he could sing himself, but it reminds me of him

This has soft verses but then the chorus really ramps it up

It’s like... such epic vibes and I feel like Hao could cover it if it was a little different? (like what I said abt Jun’s)

I really love Mingyu as this song lol, he could really rock parts of it!!

I think Dokyeom could sing this

But also I picked it because the vibe is definitely DK’s vibe (maybe even BooSeokSoon)

Like the hook and chorus give DK energy

Birds — Imagine Dragons

Originally I had this one for DK but I think Seungkwan’s voice fits the entire song better rather than DK who fits just the chorus/bridge

Like Seungkwan could sing this!! Maybe it’s not entirely his vibe but he could!!

I think this being more vocal-driven than other Imagine Dragons songs also lends to the Seungkwan vibes

SPEAKINF OF APPLE im so glad u brought her up because I COMPLETELY AGREE😭😭😭 i literally love apple so much and it pisses me off that people only pay attention to the side of her that’s pushy and stuff and don’t ever talk about her development like?? the thing about apple that most people don’t realize is that she never tried to hurt her friends and that she always only cared about raven, like she pushed raven to follow her destiny because she was worried that raven was going to poof and she didn’t want to see her friend disappear ☝️ and during true hearts day when ashlynn and hunter revealed they were dating apple was confused about it at first but she was willing to push aside all her previous biases against royals and rebels dating to try to understand ashlynn because she CARES about her 😔😔😔 it’s so sad to me that people only pay attention to the annoying side of apple and not the side of her that cares about her friends and is genuinely looking out for them ughhhh i love her sm her character development is so good

that 20 questions thing sounds so fun LOL u should definitely do it🙏 in terms of characters, my top three is ashlynn, cupid, and apple i love them sm☝️☝️☝️ my main character opinion is that apple isn’t the villain that most people make her out to be but this is random but i wish the creators made hunter huntsman hotter LMAOOOO cus i’ve never really found him attarcttive, i like his character and he’s good for ashlynn butttt at the same time ashlynn is really pretty and he’s kind of mid in terms of looks… but he’s nice😋

the dolls i had were all they in their regular outfits, i think it was apple, raven, maddie, and possibly blondie? i cant really remember if i had any more or not but those were the dolls i can think of, i also had other eah branded things because i was literally sooo obsessed like i had a diary that was rebel on one side and royal on the other, and it played the theme song but i lost it😭😭😭😭

ngl i feel like we gotta stop associating all fandoms and subcultures w the romanticization of eds when it doesn’t inherently have anything to do w it, it’s pro anas interjecting in non ed communities then playing pikachu face when ppl are upset w that. #alanachampion #lilyrosedepp #lanadelrey are not ed tags, but so many pro ed blogs use them for that! bc then we start hurting ppl by assuming their interests = pro ed even if they may be in recovery and their interests have nothing to do w the promotion of ed’s, but rather self expression.

already ppl associate skins uk and girl interrupted as undercover ed tags bc one character who’s not even the center of the plot has an ed. i think bc i have a lana del rey related username, pro ed accounts often flock to my acc bc they assume music taste = pro eating disorder acc bc they only associate lana w that period of her life she expressed being depressed which relates to their ed struggles, and not the periods she healed from her depression despite still struggling w it and hell even a song alluding to the media body shaming her for her weight and her accepting herself as she is.

literally the whole “coquette = pro ana” thing is reminiscent of “all emos romanticize depresssion” when it’s ppl who are sick using their mental illness as an excuse to latch onto creative subcultures having nothing to do w promoting self harm??? if u agree w the phrase “eds aren’t an aesthetic” then u should kinda realize that besides aesthetics discreetly saying they promote eds, no awsthetic subculture is inherently pro ed.

bc i literally had never heard of this community before and then i realized “oh shit, the ppl here having their entire community butchered when it’s actually so diverse and celebrating of all types of beauty is fucked.” bc the black/wlw coquette folks are some of the sweetest ppl i’ve ever met and yet some of the most excluded. there’s also the issue of poc being excluded from every subculture and aesthetic in general but i digress and that’s semi related to this attitude.

Episode 10: SMOLIV! My baby 😭. I hope in some way we can see Smoliv shown in the show more because I love this little guy. Still not getting a vibe with the intro, sorry. Nemona introduction! Honestly? This voice it… fits her perfectly imo. I only just heard it but it just sounds like how I would imagine ngl. I hope if we ever see Arven on here that he will sound like I imagined as well. I also love little Pawmo. Dolliv is a cutie too. Poor Pawmo getting sprayed twice. He looks so funny and disheveled. So… Brassius has beef with black Rayquaza for some odd reason?? It’s weird that legendarys seem so well known in Horizons and aren’t questioning why it’s black and not green like in the Pokédex but ok. This episode is feeling confusing and slow. Nemona is carrying it on her back. Even Sprigatito is feeling bored in this episode damn. That Nemona and Pawmo eye catch art is adorable. Roy I’m sorry but that was clearly a statue. I’ve noticed that since watching, I’ve been losing hype for Roy. He’s kinda annoying for me. Also yes I’m aware he’s a child. But it can get annoying quick and even children characters can have more to them than just child characteristics. Damn this gym leader song is a bopper. I could vibe to it. I see Sudowoodo and just think of Brock’s 😔. My poor boy Fuecoco getting annihilated here. They really don’t give him many W’s, do they? Wait… Fuecoco learns stomping tantrum like that? Out of nowhere?? Because of taunt? Unfortunately they seem to give him new moves willy nilly and as much as I love Fuecoco, I don’t want it to become an OP Pokemon with no real reason, you know? Watching the anime truly makes me realize how much I suck at pronouncing Pokemon names, locations and such. I’m wrong like 99% of the time and I realize I’ve been talking like an idiot since the games came out 💀. Wait wait now Liko can sense emotions from… statues?? Ok what route do these people keep going after? Their characterization can get real confusing sometimes

Episode 11: We start the episode with Liko thinking Dot is just a hardcore Nidothing fan and doesn’t want to hang out because Liko is just a wannabe fan? …Uh ok. I swear I’m trying not to sound like I’m hating just for haters sake but sometimes this show confuses me. Damn I thought Nemona would stay longer but they show her this episode just for her to announce she’s leaving. Not her getting the Ann treatment 😭. LMAO Murdock sending the kids a text to ask what they want for dinner and then worrying when they don’t respond. Murdock I love you man. Fletching sounds like it’s saying bitch I’m howling. Oh Liko’s mom is a school teacher? I honestly didn’t know that until now. Never saw people mention that so didn’t know. Chansey is a chunky ball and I love her. Isn’t it confirmed Mollie is the daughter of a nurse Joy?? Or is that only a theory? Oran berries have always looked delicious. Am I the only one who has wanted to try them before? Big Arboliva time! Gives me SM vibes with the giant trevenant. Paldea Wooper debut and the poor thing is injured 😭. Wooper must be protected at all cost. Small Smoliv cameo! They so smol. Aw Mollie leaving so she could help all Pokémon is so wholesome. Don’t have that much of an opinion on her just yet but that backstory I like and can appreciate. Sprigatito doing the zoomies. Oh thank you Roy. I was saying ‘Fuecoco has tackle and stomping tantrum! Use one!’ and he finally did. Wow Fuecoco is kinda becoming Horizons’ punching bag. Please don’t give him the Chespin treatment 😭. Lil Woop 🥹. Shoutout to my Clodwire, WOOP <3. I’m loving these Pokemon interactions. Arboliva’s.. moans(?) are kinda scaring me lol

Episode 12: Final episode(for now at least). Fuecoco stomping around and cheering is what my heart needed today. That Nidothing segment gave me the goosebumps. I didn’t need to see Nidothing fuse and then slowly detach. NO WAY. Dot said idk. Hearing Goh’s VA as Rotom is killing me as I can imagine him saying it and the thought cracks me up. Ludlow finally does something! Let’s go! My brain is just playing ‘Let it grow’ in my head during this forest sequence. Crystal turtle. What was that memory scene just now? Does anyone notice that whenever the pendant is relevant, it will become present, even if Liko doesn’t move it herself? Is that a reoccurring error or intentional? Oh Liko mom’s is here. Being on Twitter when she came was wild. Simps and people thinking her and Friede had a thing or something lmao. We finally getting the ancient adventurer lore. I would love to see the ancient pokeballs somehow be included into the games because they are gorgeous. Wait hold on now. So now I’m really confused. Did Liko get the pendant when she was younger or right before she went to the academy?? Because they keep implying it’s both but that wouldn’t make sense. The only logical way it could be both is if they decided Liko would go to school when she was younger but again that doesn’t line up well with stuff mentioned. Bro I’m so confused wtf. Am I just a dumbass or what? I remember seeing people say Lucca was a bad mom to Liko but after seeing this episode, did they watch it?? She acknowledges she wants Liko to do what she wants instead of taking the pendant. Not every parent in Pokemon is a neglectful one. It’s like Grace all over again. Oh it’s the creepy guy. And he is stalking… kids. He’s over there officer Jenny

Final thoughts: So that’s it for now! I did see that more dub episodes are coming in May so my watch will be back soon. So after watching, here’s my overall thoughts. It was… not what I was expecting. The pacing got wild at some points which made things seem either rushed or slow as a snom. Luckily it’s not as consistent as it was during the beginning but it’s still noticeable occasionally. I loved some moments but others I struggled to watch through. It could be pretty painful BUT despite the flaws, I do enjoy the show and the series is still new and fresh so it takes time and I’m excited to see how it goes down in the future! So right now, i think I’ll give it a 6/10. Tier list of the characters coming shortly!

I follow some larries and was v bored so I got the link to everything and let’s just say I used to like harrys music but not anymore 🤺.

Anyways, starting w the good bc I’m nice , the hs1 leaks were two shallow songs and one was clearly the proceeder to watermelon sugar, but it was lowkey a bop. The 1d demos were so bad that everyone on my dash was reblogging a post thanking Louis for firing the 1d writers(😭😭).

Oh Anna does go hard ngl. Now a new song called satellite was catchy as hell and actually cohesive w some depht too and that’s the only fully good thing I have to say abt his new stuff 😬. One called daydream had nice production too but very basic lyrics. The sex one he debuted at cochella was catchy but it’s the least Sexy sex song I’ve ever heard… it’s giving suburban vanilla and annoying peoples sex lives. Most this album has absolutely no depht and when it does it’s about a literal fictional character(Matilda) or it’s self pity. Never feeling bad for the people he talks about wronging though 🤓.

Now for the bad… most of the album sounds like it was written by a 5th grader. Idk if he did that on purpose but lord Jesus Christ what I ended up doing is putting the few decent songs in a playlist w a bunch of his old songs I downloaded for this ✨experiment✨and lord… even the sound is extremely lacking compared to fine line/hs1 honestly. The harmonies have no women this time and his old stuff all has rlly nice harmonies. The sound is literally just boring as hell. The fucking sushi and driving songs… death. We already know about the confusing conjugate switch in the whiny boyfriends one… as if he’s not a BOYfriend😭.

The one song that’s clearly for larries is literally bitter as hell saying “I shouldn’t have let u go, i used to sneak u around, I’m not gonna try w u again, I can’t write an interesting bridge, xx angst, u were the loml.”

The song called little freak is him admitting to wronging someone (I don’t think Louis) and getting karma. The one about wine is him saying he found the perfect person (who he would sneak away 👁👁) and then he chose “something old and red” instead of what was perfect for him, and now he’s paying for it hardcore ( karma 💜). The one called daylight is abt dating the most lame ass crackhead Hollywood trash. Def NOT about Louis( the details don’t match him).

Matilda has nice songwriting and did make me a lil emotional bc I relate a lot to the story. That’s the only deep/pretty song on there.

The one about objectifying Olivia Wilde made me go through the 5 stages of grief. BUT WHATS WORSE IS THAT HIS VOCALS LITERALLY HAVE NO EMOTION IN MOST THESE SONGS. Like not at all. His vocals are fine and his falsetto is smooth but idk he just sounds lifeless.

I just don’t get how the same guy who made fine line or hs1 made these songs. When Louis says happy songs can be lame and cheesy and says most songs need a guitar… THIS is what he’s talking about.

Shoutout to harries bc I wouldn’t b able to defend this shit. Idc how far up someone’s ass I am, even if Louis pulled this I would drop him so fast.

Inside “The Pact”

Hello! For those of you that followed along with The Pact, I received a few questions and requests to get an inside look. I’ll link the post here that explains a bit more about what this is gonna be about. 

We’re gonna break this down into sections: first will be answering your questions about The Pact & the characters. Then I’ll show you guys a little about my notes & decision making process (which is very obscure because I just tend to keep a hypothetical tab open in my brain most of the time lol) as well as some pictures of my ideas!! 

Thanks for requesting such a fun thing to do now that this series is over. It’s been fun to look back!

Q. What song did the boys dedicate to y/n?

A. “Her” || This is a sad song, but I felt like it fit so well with how the boys had to hide a part of themselves (their feelings) away for the sake of the pact!

Q. Did the boys get mad/how did the boys react to Jungkook’s kiss?

A. Jungkook was a little shocked, and felt extremely guilty on the drive back home. He wasn’t sure if he could stand to tell his hyungs, but he also knew he couldn’t lie to them. Naturally, the second he walked in the house and everyone saw his face, they knew. It was just quiet, everybody was a little hesitant to say anything/bring it up because they were all upset. Only Jimin has heard all of the details of JK’s kiss, whereas the others are simply aware that he kissed her and that’s that.

Namjoon was the most upset, although he didn’t say anything. He just sat there on the couch and did the jaw-clenching thing he always does. Yoongi just tried to change the subject and ask about other aspects of the date. Taehyung was actually pretty pissed, especially because he’d been so good about refraining from kissing you even when you’d asked for it. Hobi had a chat with him later that night and calmed him down. Jin wasn’t angry so much as he was worried that he missed his shot & couldn’t stop replaying his date in his head.

Q. Who fell for y/n last?

A. Namjoon. He’d had a little crush, and that’s why he was willing to go along with the pact. But it hit a point less than a year ago when he fell hard and fast. (you called him in the middle of the night when he was on tour and he realized that your sleepy voice is possibly the most beautiful thing he’s ever heard) The boys noticed and as a result teased him endlessly about it, because he doesn’t quite know how to navigate his feelings.

Q. Who did the boys bet on? (We already know that Jimin bet on Yoongi and won lol)

A. Namjoon bet on JK, Tae bet on Hobi, Hobi bet on JK, Jin bet on JK, and Yoongi bet on Jin, and JK bet on Namjoon (because we all know JK would pick Namjoon lol)

Q. Didn’t y/n ever date other guys? How did the boys react?

A. hahaha ok I actually would have such a fun time writing this Yes, she dated around a bit. For the first year of the pact, she had an on again, off again bf. It wasn’t very serious, and she always made that clear to the boys. They still hated the dude. After they broke up, she only went on a few dates here and there. Didn’t really seriously date. (except for that one time she went on vacation and had a fling, but everyone has decided to forget that) They just smiled and supported her, although Tae was always very clear that he didn’t like any of the guys she dated.

Q. In Namjoon’s date, who was the 1950′s author mentioned?

A. Agatha Christie, the queen.

Q. How did y/n meet Jimin? (he was the one that introduced her to the rest of the group)

A. She was a PR intern for Lee Hyun. Jimin and Lee Hyun are close, and they crossed paths fairly often until Jimin decided to invite her to hang out.

Q. What is y/n studying in school?

A. Public Relations (which will honestly come in handy with her new relationship lol)

Q. Where was Jin in the last chapter when y/n came to the studio?

A. Agh how could you ask me this and bring back all that pain?! Jin was at his brother’s restaurant for some much needed R&R. He ended up staying the night with him, not wanting to go home just yet and have to face his decision.

Q. Who would you personally choose to end up with and why?

A. KIM SEOKJIN. Date #5 was basically for me lol. Like, unapologetically wrote that for myself. Not just because he’s my bias, but because I personally felt like I could picture myself chilling on that couch watching Dateline with him. And it was beautiful. 🤧 Also, while Jin can be loud and goofy, he’s an introvert. I’m an extravert with introverted tendencies, so I just feel like his date would have been the most comfortable for me.

CREATING THE PACT - AN INSIDE LOOK AT MY NOTES

First thing’s first, I have an on-going page in my notes on my phone which is FILLED with ideas & half-formed thoughts. Before I began writing The Pact (or even Spooked, for that matter), this happened:

So you can see that I had no idea what I was doing lol, but I thought that it would be cool. Mainly I wanted an excuse to write OT7 and display all the members in a sweet light. Also, we see that not all of these actually made it into the series. (Tae w/ the family)

BUT THEN, “SPOOKED” HAPPENED, AND A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY POPPED UP 

ngl, I cracked up when I looked back at my notes and saw this. 

“Sweet Gloria what am I doing to myself” 😂😂 this was when I was pushing “Lost & Found” out and planning for Taehyung’s series (which is why so much is blocked out on my notes, because it’s riddled with spoilers lol) so I literally had no idea why I was jumping into another project as I was already super busy. That’s why I scheduled it for just Saturday’s! (and also why I sometimes posted super late at night lol)

As you can see, Seokjinnie’s date was literally always on my mind. From the very beginning. Which is odd, considering the fact that he didn’t end up being endgame. wow it’s like he’s my bias or something

Occasionally I’d take breaks from hw and work on getting to know how the boys were with y/n. Quotes and poetry serve as a great source of inspiration, and I assigned a quote to each member. (notice the little stars by Jin, Yoongi’s and JK’s names lol, they were my top three as I’m sure you’ve noticed by now)

There were a couple of things that I didn’t think of adding until I was reading through your theories and got an idea of what you needed to push the series in the right decision. i.e. bringing Gina back to explain that she closed the door in Spooked. 

I have a whiteboard in my room that I use to map out what I need to do that week for whatever series I’m working on (as well as jot down ideas for new series, which I why this photo doesn’t show the whole board haha) 

So here’s a peek at my thought process for writing about how the pact was formed. Sorry if you can’t read it haha

NOW, the last few questions you guys had:

Q. Did you ever change your mind while writing the pact?

A. Yes! I actually originally intended for Hobi to have written the note. It fit very well with how angry he was at first and how worried he was during the date. But by the time I'd gotten to Jin’s date I kinda knew that he wouldn’t be that petty but Jin would haha

I also planned on Yoongi kissing y/n on their date. It was supposed to be on a rooftop somewhere, which we know didn’t happen. In fact, I didn’t really intend for their date to be so disastrous until I was coming closer to having to write it. I think I was a mess, so the date was a mess lol

I had no idea what I was doing for Tae’s date until I wrote it, all I knew was that there had to be a museum. The rest I just made up as I wrote and hoped that it made sense. (also, for some reason I hated the museum portion of the date. Idk why, but it just felt so stark to me. still don’t like it lol)

Q. When did you know how it was going to end? 

A. That’s a....difficult question lol. Honestly, I thought of just doing an audio recording and uploading it because it I didn’t really know how to put it into words, but then I realized that most people probably wouldn’t wanna listen to that lol. So here we are. 

I had the ending scene in mind before The Pact even became a thing. I knew I had a series that I wanted to end with baking cookies. (weird, I know.) It didn’t exactly go how I planned, but I remember having the thought while writing Spooked (when I thought I was just writing a one shot) that it would be nice for y/n to be with Yoongi. I just instantly felt like they had a connection, when he was the first one she went toward. From then on out, I always kinda kept Yoongi in the background. 

I had a crisis about halfway through (right before Jin’s date) when there were a bunch of people rooting for Tae, because he hadn’t even been on my radar. But then Jin’s date went much better than I thought it was going to/received better, so I think that got me back on track. 

But from the beginning, Yoongi was #1. (I wrote this in the back of my Career’s notebook lol) when I was trying to figure out for myself who wrote the pact. 

So yeah! There you have it! Just an FYI, I had to physically restrain myself from throwing caution to the wind and making Jin endgame. Especially when so many of you were on board. :( However, the survey helped because Yoongi was the majority of votes (closely followed by Jin & JK) and that showed me that we were still on the right track! 

Ngl, my brain stopped working around Wednesday of last week, so writing the finale took FOREVER because nothing would compute. But I’m so happy you guys enjoyed it and reached out to me about it! This really is like a part-time job most days, and I really felt like this series paid off.

not a goodbye, but a new hello!

i think it’s safe to say i’ve stopped writing for bts. (but i still write @qqtxt​ (tomorrow x together), @butterbeerblurbs​ (fred weasley) and @shieldedreams​ (multifandom!))

heyyyyyy guys ;w; this is long overdue but i feel like i should at least write about this haha. i’ve been in and out of tumblr recently and it’s been, oof it’s been AGES. and i’m grateful to all 13k of you that have been here throughout this journey. i still get occasional follows every now and then, which is so heartwarming!!!

but i feel like i should come out and say that i don’t have much interest in writing about bts, exo, or any of the k-pop idols i used to on this blog. [also side note, my url is an-exotic-writer because at the time, exo didn’t have a fandom name and we called ourselves exotics LMAO. and i have too many damned links to change so we’ll just keep this rolling ok] but this blog will still be up should anyone wants to read anything. (note that all smut/mature content was removed - lmao i had a panic time SOZ)

i guess i started falling out of it like, 4 years ago? and slowly when the community of writers i grew up writing with, suddenly left as well, i just felt like i didn’t belong anymore because there’s so many new writers (oh, just to mention that i think it’s AMAZING there’s so many writers for BTS now, it’s INCREDIBLEEE but i just didn’t feel like i know anyone anymore back in 2014 until 2016 where it was a community where everyone kind of knew each other haha, i mean i fell out of the community and slowly with bts as well).

i still love bts in a way i don’t think i’ll ever love another artist, i still love most of their songs. i just don’t keep up with them as much and slowly that fuelled into my interest with writing with them.

and it sucks, because i do try to write for them but it just didn’t inspire me to write anymore. i still have about a hundred drafts written for them, some drabbles, some blurbs, some fully planned fics that would never see the light of day and that’s okay!!! i’m gonna let go of all of that because i truly don’t see myself continuing anymore and i don’t want to put out anything that’s not with my full of heart.

i tried coming back twice, and even both times i failed miserably. i felt like i couldn’t write anything or even try to when my heart wasn’t there anymore. so i really do think it’s time to let go.

so thank you for the past 3 glorious years from 2014 until 2017, and it has been an amazing ride thus far! i’ll still be active on this account because it’s my main! but i’ll be using it to mostly like and follow other people and... read harry potter fics LOL. i’m absolutely in lOVE with fred weasley so i’ll be writing (mostly) about him over @butterbeerblurbs! and i’m starting to write for chris evans characters (and possibly MCU/tom holland) over @shieldedreams​!

i also noticed this was more of what i really wanted to write about when i had a long (and overdue call) with @astaegmatism / @cno-inbminor. she’s truly my ride or die, someone i’ve met on tumblr and since 2014 up until now, we’re still the best of friends (i’d honestly take a bullet for karebun LOL). and when i had a chat with her about how i feel about not writing for bts and wanting to write for harry potter, hearing her encourage me and say that it’s never too late for anyone to get into something, especially not harry potter, i think it made me like, want to go for it???

the both of us went through a phase of ABSOLUTELY adoring bts. writing about them, planning series together, WRITING TOGETHER, staying up late just to watch them, and suddenly realising we don’t write for them as much, i had to understand that it was okay. i admired karebun when she started writing for haikyuu, and ngl i only read haikyuu fics from her because it’s KAREBUN. (ps she goes by K / Kay, karebun is my nickname for her LOL). so i thought, maybe i could try that with hp. and at least if no one reads them, honestly, they’re my guilty pleasure and that’s how it all started with bts in the first place! :D

so when i created the url for hp, and the url i wanted was not taken, i was like ??? and then i purchased the ebooks to start reading and i was like ??? i actually enjoy reading the book HAHAHA sooooo long story short:

LMAODJF MY SMUT DIALOGUE ALWAYS NEEDS HUMOR IN IT HERE AND THERE 💀💀 like is that sexy ?? maybe not but 😀 also OMG so i was kinda surprised by the turnout of my smut scene in this fic because i usually don’t write multiple orgasms (??) LMFOAJD BUT NO I GET MY WORK DONE 🤧 like yesterday i had finished my assignments due on that day and i had to wait at school for like 5 hours for a meeting so i sat down and just wrote :’)) the smut turned veryyyy self indulgement LOLL also it makes me so happy that you think my scenes are vivid ☹️💝 i draw a lot of inspiration from real life and i guess just have a good imagination LMAOAO so it’s p easy to write :’))

as for the sunghoon and jay fight :o i didn’t write it since the fic is from mc’s point of view and i didn’t want her intervening in their convo but the way i envisioned it was just sunghoon and him hanging out like they usually would, and then jay just dropped the bomb. sunghoon was just shocked, anger building up, but he knew jay’s feelings from before so he didn’t explode. the black eye was kind of provoked by jay, like him egging sunghoon on to just punch him, half for sunghoon to have an outlet for his anger and half for him to feel less guilty about his feelings for mc. afterward they would just laugh after their little fight and go back to talking about how they made mistakes in past relationships and should’ve been more communicative with each other :’)
