Random thoughts about Dead Friend Forever ep 7:
I never thought I would find this series so compelling but the more we dive into the past, the more I found it disturbing. One thing is certain... no one is innocent!
▪️ The group of friends is still shitty as ever. They are still mistreating Non and the abuse is getting worse now that he escaped prison. They still need him and use him. I wish I knew why doing this short movie with them is so vital for Non, because nothing really is worth staying with them. I understand he was involved in the making of it and wants to see the end, but frankly they are doing everything to drive him away and he still comes back. Leave! Find another group of cinema enthusiasts and create another movie. His life is already a horror movie, why do you want to make one? I wish I could get into the world of this series to slap the face of everyone in this group. They make me so angry.
▪️ Tee is still a bad guy who never learn. He disgust me. Top never change too. He is still so freaking annoying. I can't stand his face. Fluke is a coward who hide behind his friends but he thinks the same as them. Por is an infuriating a******. He is whining all the time. It's is unbearable. He also has an ego the size of the Everest. They are as bad as each other.
▪️ Let's not talk about Jin.... I knew he wasn't that great too. I always felt it. I mean, how can you be part of the good guy when you hang around the likes of Por or Top (just to name a few)? Of course, he was having a crush on Non. Everyone could see it! However, what he did was so bad. It could be considered as revenge p*** even if they never were lovers at one point. I can understand him being sad or angry, but sending it online just because he was having an unrequited crush, it was so disappointing. Jin is as bad as the rest of the group and even thought I knew it deep down, I was still let down. I wanted the series to show me I was wrong.
▪️ In the same category, I can also say things about the teacher. He was always very touchy with Non. Everyone seems to either want to abused him or date him, there is no in between. The teacher wanted him and got him. Non told him the truth about what was going with him and the teacher said he would help him... but it wasn't for free of just because he had a kind heart. It was hard to watch. I felt Non was forced to do it, but at the same time when Phee asked him, he lied about it. Why?! Did he feel pressure by Phee too, in some way? In addition, I believe the teacher is not was he seems to be. Is he an undercover cops working on the scam accounts? I feel like I lost it a bit at one point because I was too focus on what was going on with Non.
▪️ There is also Phee... I really like the first part of this episode when we saw him having a cute relationship with Non. He really seemed to love Non. He asked him to be his boyfriend but Non never said yes. Phee helped Non when he was arrested and he wanted the best for him. However, in the end, Non lied to him several times and betrayed Phee's trust. I believe they were good for each other. Ta Nannakun has an amazing chemistry with Barcode. He has spellbinding eyes. I just need to add that here. After seeing the video Jin sent online, he rejected Non's love and I believe it's the starting point of everything.
▪️ Let's face it... Non is being driven mad by everything happening to him. I don't even know if there is an exit for him. We are watching him slowly losing any hope. I don't feel any fear for the group of friends. I want them to suffer because they are terrible people, but since Non is being missing in the present, I guess nothing really happened to them in the past. They will just drive him further into madness. Especially now that Jin is angry at him and won't even try to help him.
▪️ I hope Phee became friend with them to make them pay and suffer. I just want to know if he really has feeling for Jin, in the present. Is Tan and White also helping him in his revenge quest or are they just innocents victims dragged into this mess. I know White is Tee's boyfriend but how did Tan got in their group?
The next episode is still in the past and it should be the last flashback. I really want to know what is going to happen. Dead Friend Forever is more interesting than what it appeared at first.

hold on where are you seeing the boys in the basic t shirts i wanna seeeeee
they've been posting them on the twst_jp twitter account, and the merch for them is up on the Aniplex+ store! they're literally just drawings of anime characters wearing black t-shirts, but the art is really cute and, I dunno, there's just something about the Twst boys posing in their little matching t-shirts that is hilarious to me. it's adorable.
and of course, there's something about Mal especially that is just like

I might have controversial opinions on the "Faerghus Four." Mostly that it doesn't exist, and at worst, it exists to exclude Dedue.
Yes, Dimitri, Ingrid, Sylvain, and Felix grew up together, but that was as children. While that history is significant to their relationships, it ignores everything after. With the tragedy of Duscur, Dimitri and Dedue became inseparable while Felix was sickened by them, Ingrid couldn't overlook Dedue's connection to the tragedy, and Sylvain's apathy grew.
Past the age of ~15, you can't ignore how Dedue and the tragedy affects their relationships. I don't see just the four of them as a friend group, especially not without him because he's so important to Dimitri and the themes of Faerghus.

i do think it is legitimately very funny whenever someone tries to make the claim that lavabending is inherently a very slow subbending and therefore not good in a fight. specifically when using that argument against Bolin's skill as a bender.
Sure, I feel like in very specific instances with Ghazan that could be a fair argument to make. It takes him a moment to destabilize the Ba Sing Se wall and for him to kick up enough lava to destroy the airbending temple. (to the point I would argue that if Bolin had been versed in lavabending like he was in s4 he would have swept the ground with Ghazan), but in moments where he's actually in a fight his lava is incredibly quick.
Just the lava frisbee on its own is an incredibly quick move
Tumblr media
But making that argument with Bolin in particular is absolutely batshit when outside of lavabending he is an incredibly quick fighter. I would say it is one of, if not the, most defining things about his fighting style. He moves very, very quickly and uncharacteristically agile for a earthbender. This is a known thing. Like
Tumblr media
I am not the first person to say this but no other earthbender does backflips like he does. And THEN with lavabending he is just as quick if not more so
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bolin since season 1 has had an uncanny knack for bending incredibly fast, and his lavabending is no exception to that rule. It's honestly something that haunts my brain all the time because how quick he is with it low-key breaks the balancing? a little?? Like earthbending was always shown to be very strong but in turn it was slower than other types of bending, but with Bolin that doesn't really seem to be a hangup he has.

Are there any Professor Snart fics out there? The thought came to me and now I'm lying on the floor trying to get my brain to reboot.
Think about it. The gossip surrounding the hot new English professor. The casual but professional outfits. The captivating lectures. The charming smiles. The corny jokes. The starry-eyed students. The never-ending string of faculty friends and students visiting when he's in his office. The abundance of award-winning books he's written (James Patterson who?). The Dean is ready to offer him tenure if Len agrees to add another class or two to his roster because they have so many students begging to be in his class. He goes to his students' poetry slams to encourage them and has a writing workshop for inspiring authors. He sponsored a scholarship in his name for LGBTQ+ students. He volunteers to help with the theater department. Not long after he's hired, Professor Leonard Snart seems to be the only thing anyone wants to talk about at Central City University.

Everytime I see discourse about kink or nudity at pride I get reminded of the time I went to pride a few years ago with my mother and my sibling- who was 17 at the time and is somewhere on the ace spectrum- and about halfway through, the march went under a gatehouse. Some inhabitants were sitting in their open windows watching the parade. Right before we crossed under them, one of them decided to just... take her shirt off. She wasn't wearing a bra. And you know what happened? People whooped and cheered, and then kept walking. That's it. And there were kids around!! They didn't care. My sibling didn't care. My mother, a cisgender heterosexual woman in her 50s, did not care.
This stuff stops being such a big deal when you go offline. It was basically the same amount of boob you'd see in any perfume ad. No one was like 'what about the children?' And if you didn't wanna see it and looked down, no one would've called you a puritanical prude for that. And it helps to remind myself of that everytime I see kink at pride discourse getting rehashed because at actual pride, people don't care.

Random thoughts about Dead Friend Forever ep 8:
I was waiting for this episode and I wasn't disappointed. It was a crazy ride again. So many things happened but the series never drag any plots too long. It makes perfectly sense.
Let's just start with the fact that this group of friends are the worst ever. They are all terrible in their own ways. It's infuriated to see them get away with their actions.
▪️ We start with Teacher Keng or should I say Cop Keng who tries to get into Tee's Uncle lair. I don't know why he thought it was a good idea because he wasn't very discrete and anyone with common sense would be able to see he's snooping around. Uncle's minions are not dumb and they chased him. He tried to escape while a car was coming and we got a cut right at this moment, but there are only two options: either he was knocked over to kill him or take him away. The series allows doubt to linger.
▪️ Non is having a really hard time. His video is still trending online and his parents are fighting because of it. He witnessed everything and it's taking a toll on him. This poor kid is really unlucky. He feels alone and on the brink of madness. His anxiety must not help in this situation and he has no one to talk to. The teacher don't answer him (because of obvious reasons). He is left alone with his thoughts unable to find a way out He is angry and desperate. I felt so sad for him. It was very hard to watch. He tried to call Jin also but I guess he was blocked because he never got an answer. Non wants revenge and frankly he deserves it because all these terrible things happening to him came from the shitty group of friends who used and abused him. When they called him to play again the role of the murderer for their stupid short movie, I hoped he would wreck them but in the end he was stopped by Jin (and also whatever drugs Tee put in his drink). We have no idea what happened to him after this event and that's the scariest part. He may be alive or dead... and the fact we don't know is part of the horror.
▪️ So Top and Por stayed nasty through all the episode. Their disdain for Non is blatant. He is exploited at will and they never ashamed of using him for whatever they want. Por didn't hesitated to pretend he was the screenwriter when Non disappeared to feed his little ego. He doesn't care about what happened to him. As long as he got what he wanted: his two minutes of fame and his short movie. Top is quite the same in his own way. He wanted to star in a movie and he got it, whatever it takes.
▪️ I found interesting how Fluke is always trying to stay on the sideline. It's never his fault, he never was there and he did nothing. He has always been a coward. He is always finding excuses to justify his actions. In some ways, I found him worst than Por or Tor. At least, those guys show their true color in broad day light while Fluke will pretend he is a good guy.
▪️ Tee is a different kind of villain. He is torn between what he needs to do for his uncle and his consciousness. At first, when he tried to be nice to Non I admit I got fooled. He acted like he was when he is with White. However, it was just pretending because he just wanted to carry his Uncle’s wishes. He drugged him and brought Non to him. Since then, he never got any news from him. If Por and Top never questioned Non’s disappearance, Tee was trying to know if he is still alive or not. Of course, no one gave him the truth. His Uncle pretended Non really did leave with Keng but it sounded false. I guess Tee could feel it. He may not be entirely bad but he didn’t hesitate to save his life by bringing Non to his Uncle. Also, he only got 20,000 baht for this job which means Non’s life is just worth 500 euros. Sad…
▪️ Obliviously, in this group, Jin is the most affected by Non’s disappearance. He felt guilty because of the leaked video and he also tried to apologize to Non (even if he didn’t tell for what). Jin has become withdrawn since Non is not here anymore. You can see how he distanced himself from everything. I think he really cares about Non but he wasn’t brave enough to really stand for him and help him. I felt betrayed again during the police’s interview when he pretended Non wasn’t there during the shooting of the movie. They all tried to cover up the truth. I was expecting it from all of them and I knew Jin would also do it, because otherwise we wouldn’t talk about it in the present, but I still felt let down by his action. Deep down, I want him to redeem himself. Probably, because he is linked to Phee now and I wish Phee didn’t only get with him to have his revenge. I want them to have genuine feelings for each others. Some moments in the present time make me believe in their relationship. It can’t be only fake. Phee seemed to genuinely want to protect Jin…
▪️ Of course I need to talk about Phee. When he learned about Non’s disappearance he tried to use every means possible to know the truth but he never got the answers he wanted. Keng is not here anymore, Non doesn’t answer the phone and his dad was withdrawn from the investigation. However, Phee know about the shitty group of friends and their short movie. He went to the premiere and saw all of them. I guess it is when he decided to act. Does he only want answers about what happened to Non or does he want to get revenge? We don’t know yet but I’m eager to learn the truth. At the premiere, he didn’t came alone and we don’t know with who he was. Is it Tan? Is Tan, Non’s brother? If it’s the case, why is he called Tan? In the preview for next episode, we’ll still be in the past and we’ll see how Tan and Phee became friends with the rest of the group. We haven’t seen White yet and I want to know how he joined the group too.
They are so many things to say and debate about this episode. I really want to be next week to learn more. Dead Friend Forever is a real gem at the moment.

how does transmen talking about the specific way they experience prejudice and ostracization from both the cishet and queer communities inherently uphold ad justify transmisogyny? im not defending the ise of the words they use but how is it different from like biphobia as a specific word to describe the prejudice and ostracization experienced by bisexual people from both the het and queer communities? im asking this in the best faith possible
transmascs talking about their struggles is not inherently transmisogynistic, but how they do it and the language they use can absolutely be
'transandrophobia' implies that masculinity is an axis of oppression, which is simply not true. misandry isn't real. transmascs are not oppressed on the basis of being a man or being masc; they are oppressed on the basis of being transgender. they may struggle to access the full privilege that comes with being a man in today's western society because of their transgenderism, but so do gay men, men of colour (especially Black and brown men), disabled men, mentally ill & neurodivergent men, fat men etc. transmascs still have some access to & benefit from the privilege of a patriarchal society
transmisogyny, on the other hand, is a term based on actual transfeminist theory and observed systematic violence that's enforced and upheld all around the world. being transgender is an axis of oppression, being a woman is an axis of oppression. transfems experience both, and the term is actually important & helpful to describe & differentiate the unique experiences that they face
'transandrophobia' is an argument that's too often used against transfems to silence the rightful calling out of transmisogyny, as though trans women are not also women who are still oppressed by (cis or identified) men. it's a term that's inherently transmisogynistic by nature bc it suggests that transmascs and transfems are on an equal playing field when we are very clearly not
we don't need a specific term to talk about the specific transphobia that transmascs face because "transphobia" already exists. there are ways we can talk about the struggles of being transmasc without speaking over and disrespecting transfems

ultimate hater take is that there are two types of targ nation people, there's the rabid twitter people who think every single targ except like three or four (usually aegon ii, aemond, aegon iv, sometimes maegor and aerys ii) are Undisputed Uncomplicated Heroes Of The Story and that the series will end with a targ restoration happy ending. then there's the targ nation people who think basically every single historical targ was a villain EXCEPT FOR dany and she is not only the Undisputed Uncomplicated Hero Of The Story but will absolutely burn/sack both Vaes Dothrak and Volantis but these will be Good Things because she's killing slavers.

there's a very specific kind of vibe that comes with living with your friends in final year that it just does not have in first year or even second year. like as a fresher it's usually the first time any of you have lived away from home let alone with SO MANY people your age and it's terrifying and exciting and randomised to boot so it's generally carnage for a whole year in the best and worst ways, and then second year you pick who you're living with and it feels like for the first time you're doing this adult thing PROPERLY. you have a place of your own now. these are the people you've chosen to live with. studying gets serious etc. but it's still fresh. it's still new. you still don't know how to navigate it. but final year? final year is when you actually get it right. you know how to manage your time better. you know what works for you and what doesn't. studying is the main focus and you've been out in the world for three years now and it's not loud and boisterous like it was in first year and you're not exciteable and awkward like you were in second year. you're comfortable. every single one of my flatmates has their own friend group and we mainly keep to our own social circles, but we'll still meet each other back at the house after a night out and sit in the kitchen or my room to do the debrief. sometimes i'll go days not seeing either of them despite sharing a house but every now and then someone will softly call up the stairs that 'the heating's on!' or one of us will sneeze and the other two will yell 'bless you!' through the walls. the lack of interaction isn't interpreted as dislike in ways it would have been even last year, because we're all just old enough to be past that now and settled enough in our friendship not to worry about it. idk. uni is very loud and unsettling a lot of the time so it's been really sweet to see how almost boringly comfortable final year is.
#like my day today was literally drag myself out of bed at 10am to meet my econ friends bc we're in a group together#and i spent two hours with them writing a fucking TRADE REPORT before coming home#and the rest of the day was kinda lost. i showered. i put a wash on. i had a nap. i mainly stayed in my room#which sometimes is the End Of All Things but today was quite nice#and i can hear in their rooms how my flatmates are doing the exact same thing. pottering about and getting on with uni#and we've barely spoken all day but earlier my one flatmate ran into my room all excited to show me her nails#bc she's been teaching herself to do gels and it took her 2 hours but im still one of the first people she wanted to show#and just now we all went to use the bathroom at the same time and it led to one of our Stair Sessions#where we all inexplicably just gather on the stairs and chat for no reason with a cup of tea#idk it's just nice. it's such basic shit but i can't belive in first year i used to spend EVERY DAY with these girls#and we were one single friendship group and that was all we had#and then in second year one girl branched off bc she lived in a studio and got into her societies#but me and the other girl lived together again and it was the same thing of she was a friend before she was someone i lived with#and weirdly that can actually be detrimental to a dynamic. but this year we're all just very solidified and confident in ourselves#and where we stand and yes we all have our own friendship groups outside of the house now#but there's still that love and simple comfortableness around each other that you only get with time and a hell of a lot of proximity#and a sense of being settled that maybe is just what happens as you get older#idk it's just really nice. if i had this exact same day in first year (doing economics and barely leaving my room)#it would've been a really bad depressive day for me so the fact i can find such contentment from it now is really heartening#i love my little life here im very proud of what ive been able to achieve :)#hella goes to uni#feeling nostalgic because SOME BITCH decided to ribs post

actually On Your Feet gave us two good things (well. three if you like Realize which I do). Kohane's "it's frustrating" line and the great crack fic idea of Vivid Bad Squad getting cancelled online for skipping school to yell at The Kotaki Taiga as he was about to go back to America.
#no because. he went there to continue radder's dream yeah? the one about becoming world successful musicians#and they had a record label for a bit. they were definitely going to make it at least somewhat.#so we can assume taiga is at the very least a semi well known musician yeah?#one that someone about to either leave or enter japan might know about. who will see this musician they enjoy#being shouted at by a high school girl in her school uniform about how they will surpass him or something along those lines#with three other kids (in uniform from a different school) standing behind her#and then going onto sekai universe twitter to post about it and the taiga kotaki fans taking it by storm#taiga gets off the plane in america and finds he's trending and it's because people are making fun of a blurry picture of his ex pupil#meanwhile vivid bad squad just don't know because it was contained entirely on twitter and.#be honest can you see any of them having twitter because i can't. an maybe but akito doesn't have time for social media and toya is toya#and kohane is a tumblr girlie if i've ever seen one#however it does give the great concept of someone else seeing it and debating if they should say anything#because mmj definitely has an official account they could have seen it on and also there's ena shinonome and mizuki akiyama#but anyway this also means when they do put on the event to surpass rad weekend (or whatever their goal ends up being)#there will be a crowd of people looking at it and going “isn't that the group of kids that twitter made fun of ages ago?”#and then taiga kotaki stans on sekai universe twitter will be stunned because they did in fact surpass him#if it wasn't for the gcses i would write this but alas. enjoy my weird thoughts#bagel's rambles#project sekai#i am scared to main tag this one but. fuck it we ball

Feyre hate is so brain damaging it's got girlies talking like the reddit incels who start mocking & dehumanizing feminists when they marry a man or have children because their tiny little brains can't comprehend this little fact that women don't hate wearing dresses or marrying and having kids, they hate it when it becomes an obligation forced upon them by the society where being a wife or a mother is the only position they're allowed to have. Which is precisely what happens to Feyre in spring court.
