Synopsis: Y/N is afraid of scary movies, but finally gives into Matt. After watching the movie she’s awoken out of her sleep, and runs to Matt🩶 This is for the request asking for a scared Y/N and cuddles with Matt

Warnings⚠️: This one’s pretty short, but it’s cute

“Matt. NO” I said getting annoyed with him

“Why not? It’s literally fall time, you’re supposed to watch scary movies” He said

“I’m really scared of scary movie though” I said kind of pouting

“Stop being a fucking baby, and let’s watch a damn movie” he said rolling his eyes

“Look, we can watch it in the living room, so this way you don’t have to leave my room in the pitch black to go to sleep, and leave the kitchen light on if that helps?” He asked

“Okay fine, but the light has to stay on” I said pointing my finger at him

“I promise” he said saluting me

He grabbed a blanket and a pillow, and we went to the couch which is my bed when I spent the night with them.

Chris and Nick were staying over Madi’s house because Laura had a specific project for them, so it was Matt and I alone.

Matt had made popcorn and gotten us drinks, and then we sat next to each other snuggling up against one another

“What movie are you putting on?” i asked him eating some popcorn

“Evil Dead Rise” he said opening HBO Max up

“Matttt come on that one looks so scary. I could never really watch the trailer” I told him

“I’m right here next to you, and if you get scared you can turn into me and cover your eyes.” He said smiling over at me

“Fine” I said rolling my eyes, and continuing to eat popcorn

We were getting halfway into the movie, and the whole time I was jumping, screaming and turning into Matt. He didn’t really find the movie scary, he found it more interesting.

We got to the part where starts banging her head on the door while looking into the peephole. And my whole body shivered with fear.

“NOO NO NO” I screamed turning into Matt covering my eyes

“It’s not even scary, stop acting like a child” he said laughing at me

“Fuck you Matt. I’m scared” I said, my voice muffled by his hoodie

The movie had finished, and even though it was scary I would say it was actually a pretty decent scary movie.

“Alright what’s next?” i asked him putting the bowl of popcorn on the coffee table

“Uhhh want to watch another scary one?” He asked smirking at me

“Have you lost your mind” I said looking him dead in the eyes

“I’m kidding. We can watch BigMouth till we fall asleep”

He responded. I agreed and he put the show on

At some point Y/N had fallen asleep on Matt’s shoulder, and he started to fall asleep too. He decided to move her back to lay down on her pillow, and covered her with the blanket. He grabbed his pillow and his blanket, and then walked over to the kitchen to turn the light off, and then he shut the tv off, and made his way upstairs to his room

About an hour later Y/N heard a noise. Immediately jumping up. She looked around in the dark searching for the sound.

“Matt! Matt was that you” I asked him reaching my hand out to find him, but only to realize he left me.

Then again I heard the same noise from outside.

“What the fuck is that” I said searching for my phone. Finally I found it, and turned the flash on. And once again I heard the sound. I immediately shot up, and started to run up to Matt’s room

I opened his door, and immediately felt bad when I saw that he was sound asleep, but I was so scared right I couldn’t be alone. I walked over to his side

“Matt! Matt” I said in a whisper shaking him lightly

“Matt!” I said shaking him a little harder, and he jumped up

“WHAT WHAT HAPPENED” he said scared

“Nothing! I heard something outside, and I got scared. Can I sleep with you?” I asked him shyly

“What? Uh yeah yeah of course” he responded still very confused

“Thank you” I said, and walked to the other side and got into his bed. I love laying in his bed they smelt just like Matt, and it made me feel safe and warm

He flipped over to face me while I was facing his wall

“Come here baby, you’re safe I got you” he said pulling me into his chest and snuggling me

“Thank you Matt” I said sinking into his embrace

“Anything for you” he said kissing the back of my head

Matt and I stood in this position the whole night. He was the big spoon and I was the little spoon. With him I felt so safe and content that I immediately drifted off to sleep with his arms wrapped around my torso, and his head at the crook of my neck.

Matt made it impossible not to fall for him.

a/n: hi everyone !! so this is my first fic and i do plan on doing a second part. i really am more of a reader than i am a writer so please leave criticism in the replies !! also instead of y/n or reader i use just a blank (___) so let me know if i should change that and i dont know whether this is fluff or angst or like in the middle ? i’d say its a normal story but wtvr !! hope you enjoy !

you made your way onto set. you walked with your tote bag thrown over your shoulder, phone in hand as you walked pretty fast without looking up. knowing how clumsy you were, you were surprised you hadn’t bumped into anything yet. or maybe anyone. you got a text and opened as fast as someone could blink as soon as you saw the name.

you asked jack if he wanted you to show him how to turn on all lowercase, but he refused. he said typing like someone’s dad is cool.

you caught yourself smiling at your phone before turning it off and looking around as you walked.

a few minutes later you made it to your trailer. you walked in and turned on the light, cracking your knuckles then tossing your bag on the small couch you had. you took your phone back out and texted jack.

you:

i’m here in my trailer, come get me ghostface👻👻

you thought it was sweet that there was a mutual thing between you and jack where it was completely needed and necessary to end all texts with an emoji, if either of you couldn’t find one you’d have to call or send an audio message.

about an hour later, everyone got their costumes on and ready to film. you were so thankful that the character you played, Elena, gave off the same vibes as you, so, you could dress her yourself. sometimes even with your own clothing. maybe it was your face ? you were very pretty, after all. a kind of rarer pretty, like a magical pretty ? but it definitely was not just your conventional attractive pretty. everyone got on set and you saw jack for the first time that day. you ran up to him and hugged him, your arms wrapped around his waist, in a friendly way. he hugged you back and you pulled away after a few seconds.

“ y’know, i think you’re a pretty good-looking killer “ you said to him with a soft smirk.

you guys always flirted with eachother, not even realizing.

“ why thank you “ he said in a weird accent.

before you started filming the prop guys had to fix some stuff so you guys got a quick break. you walked over to jack’s trailer, which he wasn’t in and sat down eating some gummies you found in your bag. after a few minutes jack comes inside without making noise since the door was cracked open already. he closes the door behind him silently and sits right next to you. he peeked over onto your phone as you played your favorite game. even though it wasn’t really fun to watch, he was insantly interested in anything you were. you didn’t even realize he was there because of how into it you were, besides, he didnt make a sound. you noticed when he reached over to your bag of Haribos to get one. you jumped and almost dropped your phone.

“ shit, jack ! fuck ! you scared the life out of me “ you said with your hand that held your phone up to your heart.

he burst out into a fit of laughter.

“ your- “ he couldn’t even speak without laughing. after about a minute or two of him laughing wiping his tears and you staring at him like he’s insane he finally says something.

“ your face, ____ your face ! you looked at me like i’d just stabbed you ! “ he said, still with a smile from ear to ear on his face.

you looked at him with an unimpressed look on your face, scoffing at him as you bit back a smile.

“ it wasn’t even that funny, idiot “ you said as you ran your tongue across your teeth trying not to smile. he saw right through you.

“ you wanna laugh so badly, don’t you ? ” he said as he looked down at you. you looked up at him, with a soft smile on your face. you laughed a little too as you had to give in. the room went silent and awkward as you’d looked at each others faces for a few seconds. unconciously, you both leaned in. you looked at his lips and your full lips parted a bit. your heart was pounding but you didn’t know that his was too. your lips touched and your hand travels up his chest to the back of his neck, sliding up to grab a handful of his curly hair. you pulled him closer and before you knew it you were turning your head into the kiss. both hands around his neck now as you tugged lightly on his brown locks. then you realized. you really realized. you were close to, but not quite making out with jack champion. he was your starboy. you’d never believed it, even if you told yourself from this morning that you kissed jack champion for a good, 30 seconds, you wouldn’t believe it.

you opened your eyes and they widened, looking back at him. his cheeks a flushed, rosy color. as were yours. you opened your mouth to say something but nothing came out.

you got up and he did as well after you, towering over you. he looked at you with eyes that were saying that he wanted you to say something. anything. you couldn’t. physically, nothing could come out. you had no idea what was going on, you never thought of jack in that way. or, well, in the way that you would kiss him for almost a minute straight kind of way. you walked out practically running to your trailer.

all jack could do was watch, he was frozen and just as, if not even more shocked than you were. as you walked you remembered all the times you were around him. you’d get butterflies. he could be in the same room as you and you’d get butterflies but you’d labeled it as ‘nervousness’ for ‘no reason’. but it’d only ever happen around him. him. then you realized, the non-purpose flirting, the butterflies, the need to be around him. you were inlove with him ! god, how didn’t you notice before. that’s why everyone would look at you too with funny eyes whenever you’d flirt without knowing, thinking it was a friendship thing that only you two did around each other.

everyone probably definitely knew. they knew how you felt before you did. you opened the door to your trailer and locked it. you sat down as thoughts raced through your mind. how would you tell him ? how would you tell jenna and devyn and liana ? did he like it ? did he mean it how you meant it ? was it just a kiss for him ? .. is jack inlove with you too ?

Summery: Jack has had a crush on Y/N even before he booked the role for Scream 6 so, when he get's to play her love interest in the movie his crush for her just grew even bigger. His fellow co-stars really want him to make a move but obstacles stood in his way so when production for the movie ended he never got to. When the cast reunited Jack hears that Y/N is looking for boyfriend which makes him want to make his move but he still has that anxiety that holds him back. Will he let go of his anxiety and finally make a move?

Author’s Note: HELLO EVERYONE! I’m officially back to posting my stories!! I haven’t started writing again but I will hopefully this weekend! As I said before this will be my last Jack story for awhile since I want to focus on writing for his characters like Ethan and Spider! Ever since the first day on the set of Scream VI, Jack immediately fell head over heels for Y/N. Well, if Jack was being completely honest, he has had a crush on Y/N even before booking the role since she is his secret celebrity crush. Before Y/N joined the Scream franchise she was on many Disney Channel and Nickelodeon shows when she was young. That’s how she met Jenna and ever since then they have been best friends. As Y/N got older she left Disney and Nickelodeon since she wanted to do more mature roles and she did just that. Y/N was in the last Scream movie, so she also became close with Jasmine, Mason, and Melissa so when there was news about another movie, she knew she wanted to return. Y/N plays a character that is related to Tatum and Dewey Riley. In the sixth movie Jack’s character is a love interest to Y/N’s character. Throughout the whole movie Y/N’s character defends Jack’s character for not being Ghostface but becomes heartbroken when she finds out he really is Ghostface.

It was already hard for Jack to do scenes where it’s just Y/N and him because of his crush but it was even harder because she has a boyfriend who just so happens to be on set every fucking day! When they first met Jack and Y/N immediately connected. It wasn’t shocking since Y/N is known to be one of the sweetest and nicest actresses to work with and Jack totally agrees with that statement. It’s just sad that he can’t say the same thing about her boyfriend. From day one Jack could sense that Y/N’s boyfriend was intimidated by him. Jack mentioned this to Mason, which he told him to get used to that. Mason told him about how it was from Dylan who played Wes who was Y/N’s love interest in the last movie. Jack asked Mason why the asshole of a boyfriend does that in which he didn’t have an exact answer, but he did mention that the girls and him think it’s because he knows that there is someone out there that is better for Y/N than him.

As production was coming to an end a sudden change of mood came from Y/N. Throughout the whole filming Y/N had always been happy and had an exciting attitude but that all changed a week ago when she showed up to set the total opposite and has been like that since. The most talkative girl on set all of sudden became the quietest girl on set. She also didn’t look like herself either since even with make up on you can tell that she had been crying a lot. Jack was very concerned about her so when he would ask her what was wrong, she would just brush him off with an obvious lie, so he decided to go to Jenna’s trailer and ask her.

When he knocked on the door Jenna called out to him to come in. When Jack walked into the trailer, he saw Jasmin was also in the trailer talking with Jenna. “Hey Jack.” Jenna said to him from her seat on her comfy chair. Jasmin was sitting on the small love seat that was next to Jenna’s comfy chair. “Hey, do you two know what is going on with Y/N?” Jack asked them with concern in his voice. “Every time I ask her, she lies telling me that she’s fine.” He added with a sigh. “That fucking asshole broke up with her.” Jenna answered in a snappy tone.

Jack felt his heartrate speed up. Jenna just said what he thought she said, right? Y/N isn’t with that controlling asshole. Y/N is signal!

“Wait, that asshole broke it off with her?” Jasmin asked Jenna, who answered her question with a nod. “Even worse is that he did it over fucking text message. I was with her when he texted to her saying that they were over.” Jenna added in a snappy tone.

He texted Y/N saying it’s over and that he didn’t want anything to do with her no more. If Y/N wasn’t broken down crying, Jenna would’ve gone and found that motherfucker and kicked his ass.

“That asshole is such a fucking coward.” Jasmin said which made Jack let out a laugh since they keep referring Y/N’s ex-boyfriend as asshole instead of his name. But Jack didn’t disagree with them since he was an asshole. “I mean I’m glad that she’s done with him I just wish it was the other way around.” Jenna said with a sigh. “I mean I’ve told Y/N a hundred times that she deserves a guy ten times better than that asshole.” Jenna added.

“Yeah, Y/N deserves a guy like Jack.” Jasmin said looking over at him with a knowing smile. “M-me?” Jack stuttered not expecting Jasmin to say that. His brown eyes were wide open in shock. “Dude, we know you have a crush on Y/N.” Jenna told him with a laugh. “What? Did Mason tell you?” Jack asked now with frustration in his voice. Mason is the only person he told. “He didn’t have to because it’s so fucking obvious.” Jenna told him which made Jasmin laugh. “Wait so everyone knows about my crush on Y/N? Does she know?” Jack asked, starting to panic. “Relax, okay! She is completely oblivious to your flirting.” Jasmin told him in reassurance. “I don’t flirt.” Jack mumbled as he looked down at his shuffling feet. “Listen all we’re saying is that when we see you with her, she looks really happy and that maybe there is something there between you two.” Jenna explained to him, which put Jack into deep thought.

Jasmin’s phone started to vibrate. “Devyn just texted, we’re needed back on set.” Jasmin said, picking up her phone and sending a quick text back to her. “C’mon lover boy.” Jenna said in a teasing tone to Jack as she stood up. Jack rolled his eyes and walked out of the trailer with Jenna and Jasmin following behind him.

As production went on Jack wanted to make a move on Y/N but he never got to because of the toll her recent relationship had on her. Yes, the guy she was with treated her terribly, but they were together for almost two years and the guy didn’t even have the courage to break up with her face to face.

When filming wrapped up everyone went their separate ways but still kept in contact with each other. They still talked through the group chat. Everyone but Y/N which is most likely because she was filming for a TV show that she frequently guests’ stars on. Jack was also busy doing a press tour with the Avatar cast promoting the sequel. Even though he wasn’t with Y/N, she was still on his mind. He thought about texting her just to see how she was doing but never did since he was scared that she wasn’t going to respond.

When it was finally time to promote Scream VI that meant Jack will be reuniting with Y/N since the whole cast will be getting back together for the premiere. Jack was excited to see her, but he also couldn’t help but be a little nervous too. The cast was going to be walking around New York doing press coverage and taking pictures for the movie.

Jack was the first one that was ready, so he was in the lobby of the hotel waiting for everyone. He was sitting down on a couch when he heard an exciting voice say his name from the elevator. When he looked up, he saw that the voice belonged to Y/N. Right when he stood up Y/N gave him a big hug which almost knocked him over. “I’ve missed you so much!” Y/N told him as she held onto him tightly. “I’ve missed you, too.” Jack told her returned the tight embrace. When Y/N pulled out of the hug she noticed his hair. “Wow, you cut your hair.” Y/N said to him in surprise. She was just so excited to see him she didn’t even notice. “Yeah, do you um like it?” Jack asked with nervousness in his voice that he was hoping she doesn’t pick up on. “I love it! It suits you really well!” Y/N told him giving him a pat on the head and sat down on the couch.

“How have you been doing?” She asked him. “Good, I was really busy doing a press tour for Avatar.” Jack told her as he sat down next to her. “I saw the movie with a couple of friends! It was amazing! You were amazing as Spider!” Y/N told him with a smile which made Jack’s cheeks turn bright red. “Thanks, that means a lot!” Jack said as he looked into her beautiful eyes. Y/N stared back into his memorizing brown eyes but before anything could go further Mason, Jasmin, and Liana came out of the elevator greeting them.

Once the rest of the cast showed up, they made their way out of the hotel and to their first destination. Throughout the whole day out Jack would feel Y/N’s gaze on him but when he would look back at her she would look away pretending that she wasn’t staring at him. When Jack first noticed it, it made him think back to what Jenna and Jasmin told him that Y/N deserves to be with a guy like him. But the real question was is does Y/N want to be with a guy like him?

That night Jack was sitting in his hotel room when he heard loud knocking on the door. Jack got up off the bed he was lying on and walked over to the door. When he looked through the peep hole, he saw it was Mason. Right when he opened the door Mason walked into the room. “Um, come in.” Jack said in a sarcastic tone as he closed the door. “Dude, Y/N is looking for a boyfriend!” Mason told him which made Jack’s heart skip a beat. “What?” Jack asked in a surprised tone as he walked over to where Mason was standing. “Did she tell you that?” He asked wondering how Mason knew this. “No, but I was at the indoor pool with her Devyn, Jasmin, and Jenna and I overheard Y/N tell Jenna that she’s looking for someone.” Mason told him.

“You need to get your ass down there and ask her out!” Mason told him in a stern tone which made Jack’s brown eyes go wide. He felt like his heart was going to beat out of his chest. “W-what, now?” Jack stuttered out. “Jack, just fucking go for it. Now is your chance!” Mason told him with excitement in his tone.

Let’s just say that Mason is the biggest shipper of Y/N and Jack. On set it was super obvious that they have amazing chemistry on and off the camara. When their characters had a romantic scene together, they weren’t just acting as their characters, everyone knew it was really Y/N and Jack being filmed. Everyone really wanted either Y/N or Jack to make a move before filming wrapped up but that never happened.

“What do I do? What do I say?” Jack asked, starting to panic a little bit. “Just be yourself! Walk up to her, sit down, talk like you two usually do, and when the time is right ask her out!” Mason explained to him.

“Okay, is she still at the pool?” Jack said, grabbing his hotel room key and slipping on a pair of shoes. “I’m pretty sure.” Mason said walking over to the door. “Come on!” Mason said walking out the door. Jack put the key into his pocket and quickly followed Mason out the door.

Jack followed Mason downstairs to the hotel’s indoor pool. When the boys got there, they looked through the little window on the door and only saw Y/N and Jenna sitting on the edge of the pool with just their feet in the water. While Jack stared at Y/N laughing at something Jenna said his nerves started to pace again.

“Mason, I don’t know if I can do this.” Jack said completely stressed out as he stepped back from the door. “What if she says no?” He asked having zero confidence. “Jack, you got this!” Mason told him putting both of his hands onto Jack’s shoulders. “Just go in there and be yourself. Just go back to those days on set where you two would just talk the day away!” Mason told him trying to boost his best friend’s confidence. “Go in there and use that million-dollar smile of yours!” Mason added, which earned him a strange look from Jack. “Okay, that wasn’t strange at all.” Jack said, taking Mason’s hands off his shoulders.

Jack took out his room key, getting ready to unlock the door, but before he could the door opened to reveal Jenna. She walked into the hallway with the boys. Mason grabbed the door before it could close. “What are you two weridos doing?” Jenna asked them. “We’re not weridos!” Mason said defending Jack and himself. “Okay, you keep telling yourself that!” Jenna said with a yawn and walked away from them. The boys looked into the pool room to see Y/N still sitting there. Mason pushed Jack into the room. “Go!” Mason said motioning his one hand towards Y/N and shut the door.

Jack looked at Y/N moving her feet around in the water. He took a deep breath to calm his nerves and walked over to her. “Hey Y/N.” Jack said getting her attention. “Hey Jack!” Y/N said with a smile that always makes his heart skip a beat. “Can I sit with you?” Jack asked with nervousness in his tone which made him curse at himself in his head. “Of course!” Y/N said oblivious to the nervousness in his tone. Jack put the key back into his pocket. He took off his shoes and socks and rolled his pants up to his knees. He sat down next to her and put his feet into the water.

“These past couple of months are the happiest I’ve been in a long time.” Y/N said as she looked down at her feet in the water. “Really?” Jack said, looking over at her. “After production wrapped up my ex wanted another chance, so I gave him one which turned out to be a huge mistake.” Y/N said with a heavy sigh. “What did he do to you?” Jack asked with a protective look in his eyes. “Same shit he did before. It got so bad that he wouldn’t even let me leave my apartment to go on set. I finally opened my eyes after realizing that he was trying to run my life, so I kicked his ass to the curb.” Y/N explained as she did everything, she could to keep her eyes from tearing up. She needs to stop wasting tears on that asshole. “You deserve to be with a guy who treats with love and kindness.” Jack told her as he used his hand to put some of her hair behind her ear. “You do?” Y/N said looking over at him locking eyes. “Yeah, it was so hard seeing that asshole treat you so terribly.” Jack told her as his brown eyes stared deep into hers.

They didn’t even realize that they were leaning in till their lips met. This isn’t the first time they have kissed since they had to kiss in a scene for the movie but this one was different because this wasn’t their characters kissing. This was actually them kissing. It put shock into both of them especially Y/N, so she pulled away. “Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry!” Y/N said quickly standing up. “Wait! It’s okay!” Jack said quickly, getting up onto his feet.

He took one of her hands to stop her from walking away. “Y/N, I have feelings for you.” Jack told her, finally confessing it after holding it in for the longest time. “You do?” Y/N asked in a surprised tone. “Y/N.” Jack started taking her other hand in his. “I have had this big crush on you before even meeting. That crush turned into more as we worked on the movie together, but I never made a move because you were with someone else. It was so fucking hard seeing you with that asshole because I knew you deserved better. When you two broke up everyone was telling me to make a move, but I was too scared.” Jack told her has he held onto her hands tightly scared that she would disappear. “I’m okay facing that fear now.” he added, staring deep into her Y/E/C eyes.

“I’m such an idiot.” Y/N said with a frustrated sigh. “Huh?” Jack asked with confusion. “Ever since I left that asshole I’ve been looking all around for a charming and cute guy to be my boyfriend. I didn’t even have to because that guy has been in front of me the whole time.” Y/N said letting go of one of his hands and put her hand onto his cheek stroking it gently with her thumb.

She pulled him in for a kiss which surprised him, but he didn’t hesitate to kiss her back. As they kissed Y/N’s arms made their way around his neck while his arms made their way around her hips. They released themselves from the kiss when they needed air.

“Would you be my date to the premiere tomorrow night?” Jack asked her once he caught his breath. “Yes! That sounds like a perfect first date!” Y/N answered with a big smile on her face.

ok so. i've wanted to make a post about this for a While now; i feel like a lot of people don't really understand or appreciate how unprecedented TATINOF really was, and for me, watching it in Seattle in 2016, it was the best day of my life.

So here we go.

(I've put the rest below a readmore bc this is an 18 paragraph post lmao)

On March 26th, 2015, Dan and Phil revealed TABINOF via a trailer set in the distant future. The book itself was not entirely unprecedented- other youtubers had written and were writing books, but for the most part (at the time) these were either fictional works or serious biographies; TABINOF was a time capsule of Dan and Phil's youtube brand, and a glimpse into parts of their lives we hadn't seen yet. (For example; Phil's hamster breeding adventures) But tucked into the pages of the book in the trailer were a pair of tickets to The Amazing Tour Is Not On Fire. This was insane. No youtuber had ever gone on tour before, save perhaps for a few musicians; no one had done a stage show. No one knew what to expect.

And, as they asked the audience of each show not to share spoilers, most of us went on not knowing what to expect until we'd seen it ourselves.

I saw the show on June 18th, 2016, near the end of the US leg of the tour. I went in knowing three things:

There were set ways in which we the audience could participate: there was Crafty Corner, Weird Kid, Phone Support Hotline, and a 7 Second Challenge submission box. (I submitted art to Crafty Corner, and I was thrilled just knowing they'd see it)

The set was a giant microwave. What this meant, I could not imagine.

Everyone who'd already seen the show said it was incredible.

I remember having had a dream that I was at the show like a week before it actually happened, and I woke up just as the show was about to start in the dream because my brain couldn't come up with anything they might do onstage lmao.

I can't even begin to put into words how incredible the atmosphere was before the show even started. Phannies were lined up for two blocks outside the theatre, and I'd never felt so welcome anywhere in my life. The doors opened. I believe Cornelia was working the merch stand pre-show, though I don't remember for sure- I got a signed copy of TABINOF and then I took my seat.

The set was incredible, and the pre-show playlist was amazing. Everyone sang along to every song, and when Troye Sivan's Wild came on, everyone screamed. Seriously, if you've never looked at the pre-show playlist for TATINOF you should. Finally, All Star by Smash Mouth played. Everyone was singing along, and laughing because of course Dan put that in there, and then, halfway through the song, the music stops and the lights go out. Everyone screamed, and the opening sequence began to play on the microwave. I understand why they opted to edit that directly into the beginning of the recording, because it would've been a little difficult to see in the recording otherwise, but at the same time it hit so much better when it played directly on the microwave.

And then they came out on stage, and they were so much more awkward than I expected. Dan kept squatting slightly, like he was trying to be shorter, and Phil moved almost like a marionette. They said their hellos, and then they addressed the microwave being there, and the plot started to become apparent- Phil had microwaved his laptop.

I'm not going to get into too much detail on every bit of the show, because I've already written about eight paragraphs and I could write about twenty more going play-by-play through every aspect of the show, but that's not the point of this essay, so I'll attempt to keep things at least a little shorter than that.

The first truly unprecedented thing was when Dan said they were "having a bit of a domestic" when Phil said he couldn't get off the lion. This was the very first time they'd come anywhere near addressing the elephant in the room (their relationship) publicly since the V-day vid. Obviously, compared to the things they've said in 2024 (we've never fucked on youtube, etcetera), "we're having a bit of a domestic" is incredibly tame, but this was huge. Everyone screamed.

And then, shortly after, Phil started singing, and everyone screamed much louder. They did little songs all the time in baking videos or while playing the sims, but this was different. This was on stage, with a spotlight and everything. It was not a surprise to me when Dan cut Phil off; I thought the song was for sure a joke, that there was no way they'd come back to it (spoiler alert, they did).

And then there was the 7 Second Challenge bit, and Reasons Why Phil Was A Weird Kid, and Uncle Dan's Phone Support Hotline, and the PINOF 75 bit. And it was all weird and crazy and amazing. But the next thing I really want to focus on is Fanfiction Live.

Fanfiction Live was... absolutely insane. My show chose cowboys on the moon, and the script they wrote for it was.... so undeniably gay? Like. "Should Phil draw Dan like a French girl"? Are you kidding? This really happened???? They wrote this in 2015. Four years before they came out. This was so far beyond unprecedented. This was unthinkable.

And then, immediately following this insanity, they began Smashing Plates and then they were like "IT'S DIL" and by this point i was hoarse from screaming but when I tell you I screamed...

And then Dil said all those things about Dan feeling like nothing he did was worth anything, but that it meant a lot to Dil and to the audience, and that Phil felt like he had to change who he was to please others but that we appreciated him for who he is... I melted. It was a moment of such genuine honesty, and they'd saved my life, and I loved them so, so much.

And then Phil started singing again, and Dan didn't stop him, and Dan started singing too, and the song was so them, ironic yet genuine, and I was out of my mind because I couldn't believe they were Singing On Stage like that, like, they were youtubers. Not professional singers. No one asked or expected them to go that far. But they did it.

this is not to single anyone out, but i have a lot of new followers, and i would just love for you all to know... the search function on my blog is operational. if you search for epic the musical, you will find that i have dabbled in it. it is slightly annoying to be asked over and over whether i've heard of it, even by lovely, enthusiastic, friendly people.

i have another reason for not answering those questions, which is that when someone is being enthusiastic and friendly to me, i don't want to be mean to them. but if i'm going to speak from my heart as an odyssey lover, i don't think epic the musical is that good. it doesn't especially interest me as a standalone piece, but i also don't find it provides much insight on, or compelling points of comparison with, homer's odyssey. i'm glad you're all having a good time! please stop asking me about it.

bullet point review below the cut, for those who are more curious about my opinions.

things i like about epic:

astyanax's murder doesn't get brought up a lot in stories that are sympathetic to odysseus. it's optional when adapting the odyssey or the iliad, but i am definitely of the opinion that odysseus did it, and even if he didn't, he convinced the other greek leaders that it needed to be done.

the athena/odysseus duets.

i found the reframing of polyphemus' blinding compelling, where he's doing the same thing he does in the odyssey for a different reason. i also liked that the audience doesn't learn his name until he reveals it to polyphemus. that's a neat touch.

earwormy as hell.

the fanart! i saw odysseus fanart maybe 3 times a year before the troy saga dropped. i'll take that trade (for my sanity when i try to navigate the tags).

jorge seems to be invested in odysseus/penelope, which is like the bare minimum to hold my attention, but still.

anyhow jorge seems charming; all his videos and interactions with fans seem nothing but excited about what everyone can contribute. commissioning wolfy to animate a trailer? widely regarded as a great move.

things i don't like about epic:

as gutsy as i think it is to start with astyanax's murder, the main thing to me is not whether his hands physically threw the baby, but whether he is in some way responsible for it. more than that, astyanax's death isn't divinely mandated: it's a ruthlessly pragmatic preemptive strike against vengeance that the greek leaders are afraid of. it's 100% human. so framing it around zeus, known troy stan, forcing odysseus to do it and he feels so so bad about it ????????

baffling to me to start with a moral conflict about infanticide, and after committing it, odysseus is still like... maybe kindness is brave? maybe i'm not a ruthless person? please be serious. you murdered that baby.

(been talking to @littlesparklight about this but you could have started out with some version of sophocles' ajax, a death caused by the gods that odysseus actually is complicit in when he didn't necessarily want it to happen. i digress.)

don't like the way the fandom talks about astyanax, specifically, as if odysseus raising a kidnapped trojan boy whose people were destroyed and whose mother was sold into slavery in another land is ever going to be a fluffy au and meanwhile odysseus did very much murder that baby, so!

the songs are not... good. like i said, they're earwormy, but that's also because they're repetitive and predictable. the lyrics are distractingly bad at times, not only from a character perspective, but in the sense of using words wrongly or awkwardly to try to fit them into a rhyme scheme.

i like the reframing of the polyphemus episode. not so much the aeolus one. at that point, you have odysseus doing the opposite of what he did in the odyssey for opposite reasons, which makes him a character bearing no resemblance to odysseus at all.

and this happens while other characters (mostly gods) try to drag him kicking and screaming into his actual homeric characterization.

like, odysseus is haunted by the war in the odyssey, but not because he regrets what he's done as a moral injury. he chose violence on purpose. the gods did not force him to be this person. it's a narrative throughline that serves only as a bid to make odysseus more sympathetic.

... and in doing so, strips away his agency — in sacking a city, in lying and obscuring the truth with his crew (his lies are more than a quirk that endears him to athena, they have consequences!) — some might say his personality. i do have sympathy for odysseus, even at his worst moments morally, because i find his character as a whole compelling. you don't need to try to absolve him of these things! they tell you about what kind of person he is! they are evocative (and provocative) already! take them away and he is boring, because he is not choosing to do anything.

the new wave of odysseus fans seem unable to handle homeric odysseus' complicated aspects and character traits, and to a degree i blame this on the musical characterization. it's allowed to be its own thing, certainly, but now i regularly get people arguing about whether he's a good person when all they know is something epic made up and that was never the fucking point, anyway.

are we really going to pretend he didn't have sex with circe and calypso at all

okay, I have a ~theory~ about all the clear shipbaiting on TWD:DD S1

I think NR/GN/Zabel are trying to make Isabelle a 2.0 version of Leah, with hints of Connie and I don't like it one bit because I don't think it's necessary but it's good for canon caryl.

Hear me out: AK original plans for Leah was for her to be a foe for Carol. Everything that Leah was and wasn't screamed Carol. All those parallels on 'Find me'? AK would have been more subtle if she had pointed a neon arrow at both women's head. She would be the final catalyst to canon caryl because, apparently, Daryl and Carol couldn't just solve their feelings for each other without a another angsty plot no one asked for. Anyways, nothing AK originally planned happened because Gimple interfered, and with Lauren negotiating Maggie's return as the leading female of S11A, Melissa was shoved aside and everything about Leah became even more WTF than it already was because Maggie x Pope x Leah made no sense whatsoever. She died with zero emotional impact. Fast forward to the series finale: Daryl confesses his love. Carol clearly doesn't get the depth of what he's saying. Why would she? They never had the resolution they were supposed too within Leah's arc. Daryl interprets Carol's light 'I love you too' as 'she doesn't love me on the same way I love her'. Oblivious idiots in love 101.

Okay, cut to TWD:DD and Isabelle. Isabelle has similar character traits to Carol, although they are not as obvious as it was with Leah. Isabelle's part of a religious group as Leah was. Both groups are a little bit suspicious. Remember Laurent reading to the priest-turned-walker? He said they were waiting for his second coming or something like that. Both Laurent and Isabelle are incredibly reticent on killing walkers. The kid has an excuse: he's just a kid. What is Isabelle's excuse? Leah was a very manipulative person and tried to guilt-trip Daryl on staying with her. Daryl only decided to 'belong' with Leah after Carol told him that she couldn't visit him anymore because of Henry and Ezekiel. He angrily asked her "you asking my permission?"...to move on from him with her life. Daryl was lost at that moment, grieving Rick, and Carol was married to someone else he saw as better than him and deserving of her. Leah was right there offering him something closer to a home and to love. Why wouldn't he accept her offering? Lucky us, she's already gone by the time he came back. Carol got him out of the woods eventually and he got back to his real family.

Let's go back to Isabelle now. She's trying to do the same thing Leah did. But she's not going to succeed because Daryl's not on the same emotional place he was when he met Leah. Even if he loses hope to come back home at some point, he'll never feel like he truly belongs anywhere else than his truly home - Carol. The teaser trailer for 'The Book of Carol' clearly show us that. He knows where he belongs. BUT, when Carol arrives, she'll see him adjusted, with a younger woman giving him heart eyes and a kid following him everywhere. The woman is supposedly a nun, a woman of faith. Carol was once a religious woman, so she'll probably admire Isabelle. She may think Isabelle's better than her, untouched by all the horrors of the ZA. Isabelle's definitely not a murderer like she is, Carol's low self esteem will whisper to her. Isabelle's better for Daryl than Carol is, the same way Connie was better for him. Daryl's probably in love with her, he just loves Carol as a best friend. And it's her duty as his best friend to point him in the direction of the good woman over there, who can have his babies, while Carol sadly smiles and gives him her blessing. *snort*

There's it, the supposed angsty plot no one asked for that Daryl and Carol need to cross the line to romantic canon because, again, saying 'I love you' and crossing an entire fucking ocean apparently isn't enough, we've got to insert a third part to shake things up. *snort again* That was the intention with Leah but TPTB changed their plans last minute. I don't think Isabelle will become a villain like Leah, unless they kill Laurent off. But if TWD:DD is really about Daryl getting his happy ending, he doesn't need another dead child to grief, does he? Does this make sense to anyone other than me and my caryl brain? No, only me? That's okay.

Eddie Munson x Fem!Reader

You came to live with your cousin and your aunt at the beginning of the summer and to help at home, you took a job at the local Family Video. In September, the days became boring. And today didn’t make an exception. It had been a long and boring day at work with Robin and Steve, with even more boring and annoying customers. But thankfully, now you were finally casually chilling in your bedroom. Not for long though since Dustin should be almost home by now. You can finally listen to your music in peace and eventually read the book you wanted to begin for so long. You were laying on your bed, ready for the adventure that awaits the characters of your favorite book series when you are interrupted by screams in the yard.

‘ Henderson ! Come back here !’ You’d recognize those voices anywhere.

Those damn bullies dared to follow him ! Dustin really has to toughen up a bit. You watched by your window and saw that there’s too many of them for him to handle. Without thinking, you grabbed one of your baseball bat (not the spiked one Harrington left here the last time, even though they really deserved it) and ran out of the house to scare the hell out of them.

‘Next time Henderson you better…’ ‘He better what ?’ you ask, raising an eyebrow and the baseball bat on your shoulder as the bullies turn their back to face you. Dustin’s eyes widen at your sight. ‘And who’s that ? Your babysitter ?’ the taller one laughed. You laugh dryly and sarcastically with him. ‘I’m his cousin, jackass. Now you better leave him alone and get all your filthy asses out of my property right now’ you said threateningly. ‘Or what ?’ said the bully, making a step towards you. Oh god help us…

Eddie’s POV

Henderson forgot his new Hellfire Club shirt at school, what an airhead. Now, instead of going back to his trailer to prepare his next campaign, he has to drive to Dustin’s house. The drive was long but with music blaring through the radio, his mood was slightly better.

Once he arrived, he parked his van and got out of it. The first thing he heard was screams, blood curdling screams. Curious, he decided to follow them. The scene that unfolded before his very eyes was crazy : high school bullies trying to outrun a girl with a baseball bat ready to strike in hands. She shouted threats and insults at them. She apparently succeeded, they were nowhere to be seen. He was so into the scene that he didn’t watch where he was going and made a terrible noise by hitting a bench. She turned on herself to face him. Her (h/c) hair all messy thanks to the wind, the baseball bat on her shoulder, her Iron Maiden shirt and the savage look on her eyes, a total badass. To say that he was in complete awe was an understatement. He never saw her around here before.

He went out of his daze when he noticed that she was now threatening him with her bat. ‘Who are you ? I swear to God that if you’re one of them, I’ll…’ ‘N…No, I’m…’ he said, trying to defend himself. ‘No Y/N ! He’s one of my friends, Eddie Munson.’ said Dustin, running toward them. So her name is Y/N, what a beautiful name, suits her. She seemed to calm down a bit, but still looked wary. ‘H..Hi, I’m Eddie, but you already know.’ It was so unlike him to be nervous, but look at her, she’s pretty and can beat the shit out of you at the very same time, can he marry her right now ? ‘I came here because I have to talk to Henderson.’ ‘Okay. It was nice to meet you Eddie’ she said, finally smiling at him and leaving them. ‘Nice to meet you too.

’‘You never told me you had a sister, Henderson.’ ‘She’s my cousin, actually. She came here in July.’ ‘So… what she’s like ? I mean when she doesn't threaten people with weapons.’ ‘Well she’s really nice, sassy and smart but I don’t like when she puts her heavy metal music on loud, saying that it helps her concentrate but it’s distracting me all the time. Oh, is that my shirt ? I knew I forgot something.’ Dustin said, trying to grab the t-shirt. Eddie completely ignored the last sentences.Suddenly, a crazy idea came to his mind ‘She seems pretty… pretty cool. Do you think she might be interested in joining us at our next campaign ? I can teach her how to play and help her to create a character’ ‘ Actually, she played a couple times with us a few years ago and even co-wrote many of them. She was behind all the craziest plot twists. Her character is a sorcerer by the way. So I think…’ Then he seemed to catch up. ‘Don’t tell me you’re interested in my cousin.’ ‘Dustin ! How dare you make such an accusation at your oldest friend ? We think we know people and then they stab you in…’ Eddie said, closing his eyes and clutching his heart as if he had a heart attack. ’Quit the drama, Munson. First thing first, I have only known you for 3 weeks and secondly, there is no accusation, it’s evident that you are interested in her. I must admit that it’s a bit weird that you feel attraction towards her after the scene you witnessed but who am I to judge anyway.’ Eddie grinned at his last sentence, he couldn't help it. ‘So, do you think you can convince her ? I have never met such a girl before and I don’t think that my flirting skills are gonna be enough to attract her.’ ‘Okay, I’m pretty sure she’ll accept but I can’t promise anything. Now, can I have my shirt, please ?’ He was so excited at the memory of his first meeting with her that he totally forgot about Dustin’s shirt. ‘Sure, sorry. So I’ll leave and… Wait ! Can you give her this ?’ He took a pen and scribbled his number on Dustin’s hand. ‘Are you serious ?’ Dustin asked, deadpanned. ‘What ? I don’t have paper on me, plus people will think that a girl gave you her number.’ he said with a wink. ‘I already told you I have a girlfriend, she just doesn’t live here and now I have an image of a girl looking just like you and I think I am scarred for life’ ‘Whatever you say Henderson. Now imagine Y/N and I kissing under the bleachers’ he said, whispering in his ear for a better effect. Dustin nearly screamed and Eddie left to go home, laughing his ass off.

Y/N POV

You tried to read but all your thoughts are about that Eddie. His crazy hair, his rings, his t-shirt, the way his eyes gleamed when he saw you. There was something special about him. You never had a guy looking at you that way before : a mix between admiration and fear. And you must admit that he was kind of easy on the eye. Maybe there was a way for you to see him again, but how ? By driving Dustin at school ? Or at his DnD club ? What was the name of this club again ? Dustin kept talking about it all the time.

He bursted out of nowhere in your room with a new t-shirt on. The Hellfire Club ! It’s identical to Eddie's. ‘Hey Y/N ! So Eddie wants to invite you to our next campaign on Thursday but you’re not…’ ‘YES !’ you almost screamed. Dustin looked a bit surprised but smiled. ‘Okay, I'll tell him… wait, you can tell him yourself.’ he said, holding out his hand for you to see. Eddie’s number ! It was the first time that a boy gave you his number and maybe the first

time you thought of a guy that way. You took the number and once you wrote it on your notebook, you practically ran to the phone. At first it rang and after what seemed an eternity someone hung on. ‘Hello ?’ it was his voice. ‘Hey Eddie ! It’s Y/N’ ‘Hey ! So Dustin asked you. Do you want to come next time ?’ ‘Of course ! Do I have to bring anything with me ?’ ‘Just Henderson, your character and your charming person’ he said flirtatiously. ‘Okay for the first ones but I’ll see what I can do for the last one.’ you replied with the same tone. Dustin looked like he was about to throw up. ‘Stop listening to our conversation, assbutt !’ you said, throwing something in Dustin’s direction. You heard Eddie laughing. ‘So it’s okay for Thursday. Have a nice evening Y/N’ ‘You too.’ You hung up. You couldn’t be more excited. You had to tell Robin ASAP.

Who could have thought that 3 days can be that long ? But thankfully, now you are getting ready to join Eddie and the others. You picked up Dustin, Mike and Lucas and drove to school. It was so quiet, it was almost deafening until you arrived in the Hellfire Club lair. Eddie was sitting on his throne, looking like perfection itself. All the lighting made him look like a literal dream .At the moment he saw you, he stood up and hushed everyone. ‘Is it the girl you keep talking about ?’ asked Gareth. Eddie threw him a warning look. ‘Quiet please ! For the first time in its long story, the Hellfire Club has a very special guest.’ he said while walking toward you and kissing your hand. ‘Maiden Y/N made us the pleasure, the honor to join us in this campaign and I expect you to behave or I promise you a fate worse than death itself’ he continued, earning some laughs from his friends. He was so dramatic that you couldn’t help but smile and tried to not laugh at his demeanor. “We will.’’ said the others. ‘I can’t promise I will. “ you whispered to him. “You barely joined us and you are already tormenting me. What kind of woman are you ?” he whispered back. “Get a room !” screamed Lucas. Eddie threw him a look that quieted him.

This campaign was intense but you enjoyed it so much that you asked to join permanently. Eddie was ecstatic at the simple idea to see you often. He said that they’ll make your shirt soon. You wanted to kiss him so bad. But you couldn’t. What if it was just the way he is with every girl he met ? So you hugged him and left with the kids.

That night you dreamt of him, more than the other nights.

Eddie’s POV

He couldn’t believe that it wasn’t a dream. The way she arrived in the room, the way she flirted back, just the way she looked at him. He couldn’t wait until the next time he saw her. So he decided to make a special delivery when the shirt is ready.

Timeskip

Y/N POV

It’s been almost a week since you met him and you never stopped thinking about him ever since. Steve and Robin got tired of this topic but you didn’t care at all. You called him almost every night and you talked for hours on end. Now you were back in your room daydreaming when you heard someone calling you. You went outside and found Eddie himself in the yard. “Hey ! Glad you didn’t take the baseball bat with you unlike the last time.” he said smiling. “Hey !” “ I’m here to deliver to Maiden Y/N a special garment to ward her against any weapon’ ‘A garment made of Mithril ?’ “And she knows The Lord of the Rings….” he said dreamily. Without thinking, he kissed you passionately. You were caught off guard at first but then returned the kiss. “That’s it ! Now I need therapy” said Dustin, shielding his eyes and interrupting you. You looked at Eddie and laughed. “So, I was about to say that I am sorry but, apparently I’m so not” he said grinning. He then handed you your shirt. “Welcome to the Hellfire Club, Maiden Y/N” he said, kissing you again. “Wanna be my girlfriend and join me on a ride ?” “Yes to both” and you both left for a tiny road trip and went home when the sun was about to come up. It was the first to many random rides like this one and you expect to do it until the end of times.

okay so this is gonna have SPOILERS so yeah don’t read if you don’t want them also warning that this is lowkey long sorry abt that i just typed whatever came to mind🤷🏽

okay so now that i’ve had a minute(and smoked some weed) i want to talk about lestat and what just clicked to me as the weed hit

okay so to start i want to make sure this is not read as apologizing or excusing what lestat did, i am simply explaining how i interpreted why he did what he did because this is not the time for lestat apologists to “uwu my baby didn’t mean it” this shit and if y’all do y’all weird asl…anyways on to my analysis(is that what this is??)

so my friend has said before she’s a very emotional person and when people hurt her feelings she’s said that she wants to physically hurt them the way they hurt her emotionally so they know how she feels and that immediately came to me as i was smoking and thought about how far lestat went when he was beating louis

to me it came off as, like my friend has said, he saw louis choosing claudia over him and then he desperately screams “louis!” and he lashed out on claudia for trying to take louis away, but then louis jumped on him and i think if we could’ve seen his face when it happened it would’ve been one of surprise and hurt that louis would do that right??

okay, so then he’s telling louis that he’s trying to hold back, but then he gives in and beats the shit out of him and idk it just came to as he was trying to hurt louis as much as he physically could to make louis feel like he felt emotionally

then when they flew up and lestat told louis to tell him that he’ll never love him and said that it would “make it easier”, he’s so used to people leaving him that he believes louis doesn’t love him and wants to hear it from his mouth so that he can “let him go” now do i think he would’ve actually killed louis?? nah, that man is down bad for louis, but do i think he would’ve let louis die?? yeah🤷🏽 he was so hurt and distraught that he would lose louis to claudia that he probably would’ve let it happen and then felt guilty about it later

eh?? I saw the video and to me it's very clear that Jensen is trying so hard to avoid answering the question directly because he doesn't want to reveal anything.

He was flustered when he received the question. He asked questions back to the questioner, asked if there were any other clips from the mothership (which, I think, if there were, he could have made the question into something broader (why is Cas there? -> why are there SPN clips in Winchester prequel?) and essentially avoid the Cas question), took long, long seconds between words, almost didn't finish a single sentence that could have qualified as an answer (he tried to say that he thinks the scene would be there for— and then he stops, and this happens multiple times, every time Jensen tries to answer the question, if you listen carefully), tries to dissipate the question by going along with Jared's jokes about the obsessive 1:08 second thing but at the same time, he knows that the question holds more weight than that so he tries to answer it (but then he fails to finish his sentences about it), which, it wouldn't have held that weight to him if Jensen himself weren't somehow in the know about the importance of it (Cas question)!

See how at no single time Jensen said anything about the scene being put there in the trailer by mistake or at least for something in the show? If it were really the case that Jensen didn't know anything about Cas in that scene then Jensen, the EP of the show who takes every opportunity to promote it, would have said "ah, you'll see that in the show, now you gotta watch it to figure it out" or something like that, but he was instead flustered and in a panic. Why? Because he wasn't surprised for something he didn't know but he could easily mask for promotion of his show. Because he was avoiding.

I'm a ridiculously cynical person, I take everything pessimistically, and when I saw that video, it was so clear that Jensen could not answer the Cas question because he could not talk about it. If the prequel has Castiel and/or something about destiel then Jensen obviously cannot and will not talk about it before it airs on screen. There are people getting sad about it because they think Jensen essentially said he has no idea why that scene's in the trailer. I passionately disagree because (a) the whole demeanor of Jensen in that video screams avoidance, not surprise/denial, (b) Jensen is an infamously meticulous person, it's well said how detail-oriented he is when he directs. This prequel is like his lovechild. He said it multiple times. He wants it to be something good. Do you really think Jensen wouldn't have watched the trailer several times before it published, trying to see if it works? (The talk about JP saying 'they just show the trailers to us after it's all done' is because JP isn't the Executive Producer AND the Owner of the Company that PRODUCES the freaking Show.) Do you really think, Mr. Detail Ackles, have glossed over a part of the trailer every time he watched it to confirm it?? Do you know the role of EPs and how passionate Jensen is about this project?? Do you know that Jensen made the company that produces the whole show and therefore is essentially the "ones" who "show the trailer" to the "actors"???

And (c) ROBBIE THOMPSON and BOBO BERENS are writing. I have faith in them. The only remaining possibility if you deny (a), (b) and (c) is that there's a rogue editor in the prequel production company (that Jensen built from the ground up) who somehow managed to slip in a Cas clip in the middle of the trailer apart from the writers and their script and managed to distract Jensen so much with other flashy scenes that he would totally not see it during the oversees he does before/even after it publishes.

Thoughts and Speculation on DLC Trailer

This isn't going to be anything professional or going Deep Lore Mode, that isn't going to occur for another few weeks when I officially go insane. Most of these things have already been said, I really just want an accuse to just chatter and scream into the void about details I liked.

First things first, I've seen a lot of people say this is Melina guiding us towards Miquella, but it's most definitely not. The skirt is far too long, and her dress is not heavily designed like this. In the trailer, we do hear (most likely) Miquella guiding us into the shadowlands, so this could possible be him, but I doubt it. We've seen him in the art post and this dress doesn't match what he wears. This may be a new NPC looking for Miquella, or even the player character in a new fit and this frame is just a red herring. Who knows.

To the left, you see a map stand, and right next to it is a settlement that looks very Sellian. It's kind of hard to tell for sure, but it does look very similar and that honestly makes me so happy. More Sellia lore please.

In this frame, I think we are seeing most of the entire DLC and it looks so good. At the bottom, you can see the same settlement. There's some ruins on our side of the bridge. On the right on a cliff, there seems to be a cathedral and close to it on the left is a castle or fortress with more ruins to its left. There's this colosseum-looking structure with land islands surrounding it, and I'm really curious to see what's that's all abouts. It seems to be held up by the architecture similar to the Divine Towers you find all throughout the Lands Between which makes me think it may be related to the people who built them. To the far left you see that castle that seems to be going into a Farum Azula effect. And of course, the centre piece is what's probably going to be the main legacy dungeon.

This person....looks so absolutely cool. They sort of look Zamor, but that might just be the mask. Whoever it is, they are probably a boss and that makes me sad. I want to sleep in their arms.

Everyone has already heard about this person and their connection to Caria and the Dectus medallion. When I first saw them, I thought for certain it was the Dusk Eyed Queen because...purple eyes...but the more I think about it, the less likely it seems. They aren't wearing the clothing associated with her followers, but you know...the Carian siblings all have some ties to the Godskin Apostles, so there might still be a connection. As to their identity, they seem to be...priest-like but also scholarly. It's hard to know for sure if they are supposed to be Carian royalty since the Carians don't wear very extravagant gowns and wear very simple but still elegant clothes (except Rykard but....Rykard is Rykard). Who knows. I can't wait to meet them, they give off major Tanith Energy.

I am just...so obsessed with this place so much. I love the trees so much, they look very similar to the trees in the swamp where I live close to. So major vibes already.

Everyone already knows about the dude, but...the woman. She's holding her belly like she's pregnant and that's just...setting off so many electrical shocks in my brain. Wild theory is that she is Queen Marika's mother. Even wilder theory is that she's the Dusk Eyed Queen before her Empyrean status and Marika is her daughter. Messmer does mention a mother which I guess she could fit that role, however there is a statue of Marika right behind him holding a child (don't have a clear image so I can't include it) so it still doesn't seem likely.

I love these two dudes....they are just sitting....

Farum Azula castle. You can see a little bit of the deathblight swamp at the base of the stairs. Wild theory based on nothing, but I think this might be where we fight the King in Yellow dude.

Love this dude. Looks like a Wormface but like....actually a worm. So proud of them.

I love this guy so much. But first, you see a bit of the Sellian architecture behind him with those black draperies that you see in the settlement, so it's likely that he is going to be an early boss. I've sort of been calling him the Royal Misbegotten since he does seem very elegant, but it's possible he could be a priest or just some high ranking official, but either way, his very elegant stature does seem to suggest that the shadowlands are welcoming to the Crucible as seen in many scenes of the trailer. I love it. I love what looks like runes in his eyes and the second set of human teeth behind beast teeth. I can't wait for the model to be exported so we can see how he looks underneath the robes because.....it's strange alright.

Messmer got a ring. It's on the wrong finger, but still. I'd put (another) ring on it.

Okay, first, he's standing in the way and I can't get a clear image of the statue, But you can clearly see the billowing dress of Marika featured in the other statues, and you can kinda see the circular objects that are behind her. On to Messmer himself, mans look WAY TOO FUCKING COOL. Also, unless the snake is really long, he actually has two snakes instead of one fucked up one. It's hard to say if they are attached to him or not, but given how you can see a bit of his fucked up anatomy in the fighting scene, it's probably likely.

LOVE THIS so much. But one, you can see the Evil Erdtree behind them and it looks very close, so I think this takes place on one of the towers of the main legacy dungeon. Also, the twin trees sort of look like Two Fingers that had grown fucked up and started producing roots. Probably definitely not the case, but it does look cool.

We had the blue dancer in the scarlet rot (red), and here we got a red dancer in a field of blue. Given that this takes place in a field of flowers, chances are she's going to be a really memorable boss. I just really want her fit....

New Crucible Magic!!!!! It looks so cool, I can't wait to read its lore description.....

I love those eyes. Beautiful.

I don't have much more to add that hasn't been said about the King in Yellow, but this image goes SO FUCKING HARD. I love it so much, I love how his neck starts to stretch as he tries to remove the branch sword.

Looks like the Duskborn ending. Fits in very nicely with Miquella's goals in the base game...One thing though, is that it seems that the white effect is only affecting the Erdtree and not the (possibly) Deathblight tree. Maybe it's a way to rid itself of the parasite?

Anyways that's all. Please come scream at me, I never want to stop talking about this trailer.

When they made it to the Wheeler house they discovered that the guns weren't there because the upside down was in the past, stuck on the same day Will went missing. Meanwhile Steve learned that he could hear Dustin talking to Lucas on the other side. They soon discovered that they could use the particles of light floating around the light fixtures to communicate with the others. It must have been how Will had communicated with his mom. They used Holly's Lite Brite as a communication device where Dustin told them about his theory. There was a gate at each murder site. Dustin didn't hold back when he told them to get down there.

"Jesus Christ, this kid's gotta get his ego in check," Steve said.

"It's his tone, right?" Eddie asked him.

"He's been like that since he learned to start talking," Wendy said rolling her eyes.

"Oh yeah, you've been dealing with this longer than we have," Steve said sympathetically and Eddie patted her on the shoulder. "You live with it."

They took upside down bikes and rushed off to Eddie's trailer, where Chrissy had died. They found the creepy crack in the ceiling of the trailer and poked a hole through it, tossing up a make shift rope made of bedsheets through it. They pulled Eddie's obviously stained mattress out. They didn’t have to guess what they were from.

"Those stains are, uh, I don't know what those stains are," Eddie sheepishly, trying not to look at Wendy in the eyes.

"Don't worry, Eddie, guys aren't the only ones who masturbate," Wendy replied.

"They aren't?" Steve and Eddie asked with surprise.

"Wow, either you failed health class or health class failed you," Wendy quipped, Nancy and Robin snickered. "Maybe after this is all over, we can have a private session and I can teach you all about the female anatomy."

Eddie gulped and stared at her with wide eyes. They've been dating for a month and Eddie had been patient about the not having sex yet. He had been really great about it, in fact. Not that she hadn't thought about it because she has but it was the idea of someone seeing her naked that made her nervous. She trusted Eddie and she knew that he would be the one to not judge her for anything like the fact that she wasn't quite as skinny as other girls like Nancy and Robin. She usually wore sweaters to hide it but since she took hers off her undershirt showed off a little more than usual and she was suddenly very aware of that. She could tell that Eddie noticed too.

"I would like that very much, Miss Henderson," he said trying to sound confident but his voice sounded higher than normal.

Robin was the first one to climb up the makeshift rope then Wendy nudged Eddie forward along with Nancy. It was only Wendy and Steve now. Wendy started to climb up the rope but instead of coming out the other side she fell into an empty pool covered in vines. Oh, shit, she was inside Vecna's curse.

Wendy saw Barb lying in the pool, a slimy vine slithering out of her mouth. She screamed as blood poured down the sides of the pool. This wasn’t happening, this couldn't be happening. Fuck.

"You didn't go with them that night, Wendy, why is that? Because you were tired? Was that your excuse for letting Barb die? Maybe if she had someone there to back her up then maybe she would still be alive," a voice came out of the darkness and Vecna came rushing up to her. "You and your boyfriend are much the same. You are both cowards."

Wendy screamed again. Meanwhile, Steve was in the upside down trying to shake her out of her trance.

I just watched Game Theory’s analysis of the Ruin Trailer for fun, but now I’ve got something to say. I am going to put my main thoughts for a certain section below for spoiler reasons, but the basis is that he’s close with it but I have to respectfully disagree with his conclusion.

So, when MatPat reached the mystery rabbit shot, he realized that the duality thing was an intentional motif and that green and purple was involved. After some inspection with SB TV and thinking back to who could possibly be associated with green, he came up with the idea that Charlie (due to the green wristband and the green eyes of the security puppet) and William (as Glitchtrap) are fighting over something.

And, while I see where he’s coming from there (as Charlie and Will being rivals dates all the way back to the Silver Eyes books and continued until Fazbear Frights Epilogue #7), I just cannot accept the second half of this idea. The duality and the green-and-purple stuff is great. Glad we’re on the same track there. But there’s a few details I want to consider.

(1) While Charlie is a good candidate for green association, the Puppet mask present in the Blob does not have lit eyes like the rest and seemingly has no tear streaks. If we are to take red eyes and tear streaks this as sign of Charlie’s presence, then it’s clear that she’s not back this time. Also, if I recall correctly, the only time she was really associated with green was in that one FNAF 6 mini-game and in the Silver Eyes graphic novels trilogy with the green jacket (which, fun fact, was originally a denim jacket in the book trilogy proper). If anything, the Puppet’s trademark black and white stripes would be a better indicator for her at the moment.

(2) Even if Charlie was the sole character that had green, why would she choose to haunt a rabbit? Wouldn’t something like Sun be a bit more likely, as it’s Puppet-like frame help her adjust faster? ..And make her able to focus on her mission more instead of more likely having memories of dealing with Scraptrap in FNAF 6?

(3) A better candidate would actually be Glitchtrap himself as a separate entity, given the whole Mimic situation (which I’m not going to delve into because this post is probably going to be rambling enough already). Considering the fact that he has been green-colored at least three times [one for the “repaired” version in Help Wanted, another after his whole merging attempt seemingly goes south, and the last this plush according to Princess Quest 3), it would make more sense to associate him with green rather than purple. Well... At certain points, that is. He does still have the purple motif, but it’s more of an accent color really.

(4) Also, given that the Steel Wool logos on SB TV are not perfect reflections of each other (and going opposite directions, as MatPat noted), then wouldn’t that line up with what’s implied with the Mimic if he is supposed to be Glitch [or at least the programming is]? He’s trying to impersonate someone who most likely is terrified and/or very reluctant to do what he used to do thanks to all that time in UCN. Sure, Glitch is doing a pretty good job keeping up that villainous legacy. The problem is: William might not want that legacy to be how he’s remembered. A strange take, I know, but it’s the best one I’ve got since the last time we know we saw Will was in UCN– And he was trapped in his own literal nightmarish landscape and screaming for Henry and Mike. That can’t be great for someone who’s been.. *checks notes* burned twice, self-cornered into a fatal robotic costume accident, and losing most of his family for varying reasons. Prideful though he is, all that building pain has got to have put him in his place by now. I would be mildly surprised if it didn’t.

(5) So, if this is the case, then that means we are dealing with a battle of identity here. And, as it was stated in a different Game Theory video, we might have to use William’s own memories to set him free. Make him remember everything else that happened in his life, then maybe help him come to terms with things... After taking down Glitchtrap, of course.

But, of course, this is all speculation until we get more info. I could be wrong, MatPat could be wrong, we both could be wrong. The point is this: Duality is a key theme at the moment, Afton is still involved somehow if we take the purple as a clue, and he might be fighting someone else in the same robotic body.

Oh, and uh, Elizabeth having green eyes does make it seem like she’d be a good candidate.. Until the same evidence for The Blob version of the Puppet shows up in its version of Baby. Besides, Circus Baby was always her thing– Even in the novel trilogy.

Storytime: The man who ran up on me and mom in the parking lot for no apparent reason.

So, this happened April 3rd at like 10:45 AM. Mom and I were pulling into the parking lot of this office building where we were going to handle some business. As we pulled in, we noticed another car trying to park. He was backing into a space and seemed to be yelling out of his window at a couple who were walking into the building after he almost hit the woman. Mom and I didn't really get what the dispute was from inside of our car, but the couple continued into the building and the man continued into his space, so we proceeded, looking for a space, ourselves.

Mom was about to pick a close space nearest the building, but I thought it was too tight because there was a big trailer that belonged to a dance studio parked in front of the open spaces. So, Mom pulled the car around the median and to the spaces further away. We were a bit early, so we sat in the car for maybe five minutes and just as we were about to get out, the man was knocking on the driver's side window. He was a middle aged Black man wearing a blue polo shirt and a snap back baseball cap, looked very much like a dad or a man at work. So we assumed that he was from the company and they had sent someone to come get us. (We didn't yet know he was the same man from the parking dispute we'd just seen.)

But with my mom rolled the window down, he was like "Why did you park right here?" We were confused. My mom was like "What do you mean?" So, he continued.

"Why did you park here? I noticed you were behind me when I pulled in-" (no, we weren't. We only saw him when he was backing in. We weren't behind any car on our way into the parking lot.) "And then you pulled around here to park. Why'd you park here?"

My mom was just like "I parked where I wanted to park." I don't know if she thought he was telling us that we were parked in the wrong place or what. But then the man went "Let me say this again." And his face got serious and his tone got stern as if he were confronting us. "Why did you park here?"

At this point, red flags went up, for me. I figured that the man thought he was special and that we, specifically, wanted to follow him for some reason. A full on case of delusional main character syndrome. So I barked. "Sir, you need to get away from our car. We are here for a meeting." The thing is, that set off the man's crazy, and he starts what I can only describe as scurrying back to his car.

Mom screams at me "Why did you do that?! Why did you do that?!" and she starts to pull out of the space because he seems to be going to his trunk. At this point, I'm not really thinking he's going to shoot or anything, but I'm angry and annoyed, so I start dialing 911 as mom pulls around to the other side of the building.

Mom starts calling the man we were meeting and I'm talking to the 911 operator at the same time. So our guy comes out of the building and escorts us in, and the 911 operator isn't being extremely helpful at all (don't know if the cops even came.)

And so... like, there's no conclusion. I have no idea who the guy was, why us parking there made him angry, why he was being so paranoid, or what would make him think two fine Black women in a car would be after him in any capacity. 🙃 Like, if someone hired a private eye to spy on him, it wouldn't be 2 dressed up women making themselves obviously visible by driving IN FRONT OF his parked car. If someone was a stalker, same. If someone was road raging, they wouldn't park and mind their own business for 5 minutes drinking coffee in the car casually. Like, what did he think was happening? The world may never know. 🙄

She turns back around to see them looking up at the gate still. "Skylar." She turns her head back around to see the inside of Star Court Mall then looks around to see she was now in the mall.

"What do we do?!" Robin start to panic as they watch Steve and Nancy. "Music." Max says. "Skylar, you're friends with her. What's her favorite song?" Lucas asks making everyone turn to her. "Sky." Dustin moves to see where she was looking. "Skylar!" He yells seeing she was in a trance too. "He can do two people at once?!" Erica shouts. "Watch the two of them." Dustin tells Erica as they search the trailer for something to help them.

"Billy please, don't go. Remember how you said you wanted to go back to California? Come on, I'll go with you. It's a yes but you gotta stay with me." She hears her own voice as she walks around then stops when she sees blood on the floor where Billy's body laid. "You moved on from me. How could you? I thought you loved me..." She hears Billy's voice from all around. "You can't fool me. Billy wanted me to move on." She looks around for him.

"I didn't want to say those things. He made me write those down, Sky." Vecna says in Billy's voice making Skylar tear up. "No, no, no. You're lying to me." She starts to breathe heavily. "I'm telling the truth, princess. He made me write all that down." She turns to see Billy walking towards her. "I always knew you never loved me. You used me to get over Steve. You lied to me as I died in your lap. You didn't love me. You loved him." He walks up being toe to toe with her. "You spent time0000 with me to get over Steve, but it didn't really matter because you didn't lose any feelings for Steve." The back of his hand touches her cheek. "You're not Billy so stop it." She stares into his eyes.

"How are you doing this? You already have Nancy in a trance." She steps away from him. "I've been watching you since Billy died." As she blinks Vecna was his normally self. "Part of me has been in your mind for months. The pain from loving Billy and Steve at the same time." She blinks again to see Bard dead, "The pain of being part of the reason Barb is dead." He goes back to himself. "Still deep down hurt from Steve treating you like you were nothing. Secretly feeling like you're responsible for your father leaving your family. I know every thought in your mind." He stands over her as she looks up at him. "When I end others suffers I become stronger... I take everything from them. Little by little I've been using you without you even knowing. Will you let me show you what I'm going to show Nancy?" The mall suddenly becomes Hawkins lab and Nancy was held down to a chair at the end of the hall. Venca was now standing over Nancy and puts his hand out to her face showing her what's to come to Hawkins and it's flashes though Skylar's eyes as she stand at the other end of the hall.

After everything she ends up at the trailer park outside seeing the swarm of bats flying around in one part. "I'll become more stronger off of you when you see what is happening at the center of that. Not everyone will make it, Sky." Vecna tells her as she slowly walks towards it then starts to run seeing Dustin limp his way towards the swarm. "Dustin!" She screams before everything goes black then flashes of Vecna's whole life. From when he was a child, his time in Hawkins lab, meeting El, him exploring the Upside Down, the day it turned to Hawkins, what he did and saw throughout the years they have been battling the Upside Down. "You're very clever Skylar." He tells her as her eyes kept rolling back. "What if Vecna was someone like El? Someone who had powers too? I mean the papers never said Victor's son died the same way as the rest, just died in the hospital." She hears herself again.

"She's back!" Steve tells to the others about Nancy. "We have another problem up here with Skylar!" Erica shouts at him. "Skylar?!" Steve shouts worried as he helps Nancy through the gate then himself. "Skylar, come on." Steve grabs her by the shoulders before she comes back falling to the floor passed out. Max suggest they go to her trailer so Steve picks Skylar up carrying her as she was out cold. "I still don't understand how he got both of you in a trance at the same time." Dustin eyes Nancy who was still out of it. "Is he that powerful now?" Lucas asks worried.

The next morning when Skylar wakes up Steve was on watch duty for her and Nancy. "Good morning." She whispers to him. "You scared us even more when you went into a trance too." He sits next to her. "Not gonna lie I got scared but didn't break... Tried using Billy to get to me." She sighs thinking back. "You're okay, that's all that matters." He cups her face. "I don't think I am though..." She looks into his eyes. "Why do you say that?" Steve asks confused and starts to get worried. "He said part of him has been in my mind for months. Little by little he's been using me without me even knowing." She explains to him as others start to wake up. "Sky!" Dustin wraps his arms around her.

When everyone was awake Nancy finally could tell them what Vecna showed her. "Okay, but... he's just trying to scare you, Nance. Right? I mean... I mean, it's not real." Steve tells her. "Not yet. He showed me what he showed Nance. There were four gates spreading across Hawkins. They looked like the one in Eddie trailer but didn't stop growing." Skylar speaks up. "But this wasn't the Upside Down Hawkins. It was our Hawkins. Our home." Nancy says terrified. "Four chimes." Max speaks up. "Vecna's clock. It always chimes four times. Four exactly." She lets them know making Nancy and Skylar say they heard it too. "He's been telling us his plan this whole time." Max sighs. "Four kills. Four gates. End of the world." Lucas says. "If that's true... he's only one kill away." Dustin sighs while Max tries to call Joyce's number.

"We have to go back in there. Back to the Upside Down." Nancy turns to the group making Steve, Eddie, and Skylar say no. "What is there to think through?" She asks Steve. "We barely made it out is there." Steve tells her. "Yeah, because we weren't prepared. But this time, we will be. We'll get weapons and protection. We'll go through the gate, we'll find his lair, and we'll kill him." Nancy lists a draft plan. "Or he'll kill us. The only reason you and Skylar survived is because he wanted you two to. He's not scared of us." Steve tries to get her to understand. "And for good reason. We were wrong about Vecna. Henry. One. We've learned something new about Vecna/Henry/One. He's a number like Eleven, only a sick, evil, male, child-murdering version of her with really bad skin. But my... my point is, he's super powerful. He could turn us inside out with a snap of his fingers. It's not a fair fight." Robin explains.

"Then why fight fair? You're right. He's like Eleven. But that gives us an upper hand. We know Eleven's strengths. And weaknesses." Dustin says before explaining the weakness to everyone then what could be a plan. Max then speaks up after Robin said they don't know his pattern or when he will, saying they do and she will be the bait and willing to risk it. "I get you guys are set on this and think of we've come up with an awesome plan but he told me not everyone will survive." Skylar stands up so they look at her. "If we do it well, we all will." Nancy tells her. Skylar shakes her head sitting back down next to Eddie.

"This...this place is just far enough outside of Hawkins. As long as we steer clear of main roads, we oughta be able to avoid cops and, uh, angry hicks." Eddie tells us after showing us where we can get weapons to kill Vecna. "But is it worth the time? It'll take all day to bike there and back." Dustin tells us. "Who said anything about bikes?" Eddie looks at him. "You got some car we don't know about?" Steve looks at him. "It's not exactly a car, Steve. And it's not exactly mine, but uh... it'll do. Hey, Red, uh, you got a ski mask or a bandanna, something like that?" Eddie looks over at Max. She leaves then comes back with her Michael Myers mask. "This is all I got." She hands it to him. "That'll work." He takes it and we follow him.

"The RV really?" Sky whispers to him. "You got a better idea?" He asks her. "No but that's their home." She adds. "And they're rude remember..." He says. "True." She shrugs her shoulders. They all follow Eddie to the RV and jump in through the back window quietly. "You can do this fast right?" I follow him to the front. "Of course." He gives me a smile as Steve comes over. "Where'd you learn how to do this?" He asks him. "Well, when the other dads were teaching their kids how to fish or play ball, my old man was teaching me how to hot-wire. Now, I swore to myself I wouldn't wind up like he did, but now I'm wanted for murder, and soon, grand theft auto. So, uh, I'm really living up to that Munson name." Eddie tells him. "Eddie, I'm not sure I love the idea of you driving." Robin joins us. "Oh, I'm just starting this sucker. Harrington's got her. Don't ya, big boy?" Eddie smiles at him making me slightly giggle. When Eddie starts the vehicle the owners start banging to get in so Steve hops in the drivers seat. "Everyone hang onto something!" Steve yells at us so we all do.

As we were on the road Nancy and I said we'd take turns in the passenger seat. "How's it handle?" I ask Steve as me and Nancy swap places. "Not half bad. Considering that this is a... house." He says making me smile at that. "You know, it's silly, but I... I've actually... I always had this dream that I'd have this really... really big family. I'm talking, like, uh, a full brood of Harringtons. Like, five, six kids." He says making me laugh. "Six? You want six little nuggets?" I look at him. "Yeah, six little nuggets. Three girls, three boys." He says making me nod my head. "And... and every summer, I figured all of us Harringtons, we would pack into something like this and just see the country. You know, the Rockies, Grand Canyon, maybe Yellowstone. End up in some beachside town in California. Spend a week parked in the sand. Learn how to surf or something." He tell me.

"That sounds really nice" I say making him look over at me. "Yeah?" He asks. "Yeah." We stare at each other. "Can I tag along?" I smile making him laugh. "I was hoping you'd be there too actually." He makes my smile bigger. "Yeah?" I ask. "Yeah." He chuckles. "I would say six little nuggets is a nightmare, but we both know you're well trained in that area by now." We both laugh.
