for the longest time soap went editing his own videos because he didn’t trust anyone else—but then as his following grows, some of the work becomes overwhelming, and he’s forced to hire someone to help lighten the load a bit

the only application that stands out to him is ghost’s. his editing style is unique while also adhering to a style soap had developed for himself, he’s professional, and something about him has soap thinking that he could trust ghost wholeheartedly with such an important part of his videos

and apparently he’s right to—his fans clock the change immediately when ghost’s name is put in the description, commenting on how well done it is, noting all the little quirks ghosts had ventured out to add without knowing whether or not it’d be something soap would like, or knowing if it’d work with his audience

it doesn’t take long for them to reach that point of the classic ‘referring to the editor as an in-video bit’ part of their working relationship, and the fans eat it right up. though ghost’s cameos are sparse, they’re always perfectly timed, and people start to beg for more appearances because ghost and soap seem like the perfect balance for one another

and is it a surprise, maybe a year or so down the line when soap introduces a guest to his video and it turns out to be ghost? no, not at all

Jules and Lassie's friendship has me feeling soft y'all. Shawn and Gus have their own traditions and inside jokes and I bet that Jules and Lassie start to develop the same things. They go out to eat together and have movie nights at each other's places every week. Jules lets Lassie infodump about US history and guns as long as he wants and Lassie (begrudgingly) lets Jules paint his nails. They chat about all the latest gossip in the SBPD and gush over their crushes together. They tell each other (almost) all their secrets. Lassie stays with Jules 24/7 after the clock tower and comforts her when she and Shawn temporarily break up. Jules is one of the only people to see Lassie truly break down and cry and she holds him for as long as he needs and tells him that they're going to be okay. They have their own jokes that nobody else gets that they whisper to each other and giggle at. They laugh until neither of them can breathe. They hug each other every morning when they arrive at the station and when they leave, and casually hold hands. They started out as just coworkers but by the last few seasons they are basically platonic soulmates, parallel to Shawn and Gus. And I love that. I love them.

Thinking about Ghost who just can't help but touch Soap anytime he gets the chance. Nothing crazy of course, he's not trying to tip off anyone about his little crush, just little touches here and there.

He'll walk just close enough to brush their pinkies together, or place his hand on Soaps waist to get by. He'll fix his hair for him with the flimsy excuse of it being outside of regulation or straighten out his gear during exercises. When they go out for missions, he's clipping Johnny's helmet for him and tightening his vest, treating him like a toddler.

And after a while Soap's dense ass takes it as Simon not trusting him and thinking he can't take care of himself. He confronts him and plans on hashing it out but then Ghost is reaching forward and cupping his face and looking at him so fondly with those pretty brown eyes and-

And then they're just insufferable about it. Holding hands while they walk, ignoring Price's side eye. Practically sitting on top of each other during movie nights, which Gaz promptly bans because dear god no one has ever made him feel like such a thrid wheel. And constantly sleeping over in Simon's dorm to the point that Johnny's barley looks lived in.

And christ it's annoying and Price really should write them up. And Gaz is just so sick of watching them act like lovesick teenagers all the time. But they're happy, and that's huge for Simon, so they let it go.
