when (y/n) woke up the next morning, her back felt like it had been twisted into an ungodly position - she knew she shouldn’t have slept on the couch, she should’ve just let changbin wake her up to go to bed.

the living room had beer bottles scattered all over, and takeaway rubbish covering the table. the tv was still on, playing a shitty romcom in the morning sunlight. her head was sore - probably from the angle she slept on the couch - and her mouth was so dry she could have sworn a desert had more water.

a smile washed over her face as she got up and headed to the bathroom - flashbacks from the night before of everyone taking it as a goal to tease jisung for his ‘rule’ outburst. minho and seungmin had teasingly called out a ‘i’ll be right back’ as they headed off to bed for the night (although everyone knew they’d be doing anything other than sleeping). she truly was so happy to be surrounded by her friends right now, although she would never stop wishing chan and jeongin were still here too.

she reflected on everything that had happened lately in woodsboro as she brushed her teeth, humming to let changbin in as he knocked on the door gently.

“have you seen seung? him and min aren’t in their room, and i didn’t know if they’d gone out or not.”

she hummed again, shaking her head as she spat out her toothpaste.

“sorry, bin. i only just woke up. have you tried calling them?” she suggested, noting how his eyebrows furrowed as he nodded.

she finished up her routine in the bathroom before wrapping the buff boy in a gentle hug.

“don’t worry, they’ll be fine. lix was sleeping closest to the back door, right? why don’t we go ask him if he heard anything?”

changbin was exceptionally sensitive - that was something all of their friends knew. especially after recent events, (y/n) would do anything she could to calm his nerves and reassure him. it was a crazy, unknown territory - having to question their every move - but she was sure in her assumption that seungmin and minho were okay. no one except campus staff knew they were at changbin’s parents, so unless they were being followed no one should know where they were. and if they were being followed…. well, that meant the killer had something personal with them. but that was an unwarranted fear, so she shook it off quickly.

she softly took changbin’s hand in her own and headed down the stairs towards the bedroom closest to the back door. god, changbin’s house had so many rooms, it was a wonder no one got lost in it. once they got close to the door, (y/n) called out.

“lixie, you awake and decent? me and bin are coming in– oh.”

she came to a stop outside the door, changbin slamming into her back with no preparation for her sudden halt.

“what’s wrong?” he mumbled, looking past her towards the door and instantly spotting the problem.

the door was slightly ajar, which was weird because felix always closed doors behind him - something his mum raised him to do, or something - and the room seemed silent. too silent. changbin’s pushed open the door gently, finding the room empty. it was only when he pulled his hand away from the handle that he noticed the red trail on the door and splattered on the door.

it couldn’t be…. blood, could it?

but before either changbin or (y/n) had a chance to react properly, they were thrown by a scream coming from across the house. it sounded like… jisung? in the garage? what the fuck was going on?

(y/n) and changbin ended up meeting hyunjin as they all ran acros the house, caught completely off-guard by jisung’s yells. as they approached the garage side-door, jisung came flying out, slamming the door behind him. he took terrified - sweaty and red, eyes blow wide in shock and his breathing was uneasy. after taking a quick mental headcount he nearly cried.

“where’s felix?”

“we can’t find him,” changbin said quickly, gripping jisung’s shoulders in an urge to get him to talk. “what’s going on, why are you yelling?”

it was then that jisung’s self-control broke, his breath coming out in short, raspy gasps as he tried to calm himself.

“bin, i don’t know what to– the police or something, we– minho and seungmin–”

it was with that (y/n) finally pushed past jisung and swung open the door to the garage, although in hindsight she kind of wished she didn’t.

minho and seungmin were dead. that was what jisung was trying to say.

their bodies, brutally attacked and destroyed, were flung across changbin’s garage floor. there was a huge pool of blood that seemed to be drying, showing how long the bodies had been there, and even in death the pair seemed to be able to show their affection for each other - their hands outstretched as if trying to reach one another.

a sob escaped (y/n)’s throat, hyunjin grabbing around her waist as her legs gave way. how many of her friends had to be murdered before the killer had enough? was the entirety of woodsboro going to be slayed before this ended?

the remaining friends took themselves into the living room, needing to take a breather and recuperate before they could figure out what to do next. minho and seungmin dead, felix missing with only a blood trail left behind. who was next?

somehow, they decided that it was better not to call the police straight away - they had no proof felix was dead, too, and they didn’t want to draw suspicions to themselves. 7 friends alone overnight and all of a sudden 2 dead and 1 missing? it doesn’t look good for them at all.

they honestly didn’t know how much time had passed before hyunjin spoke again.

“should we… i dunno, go look for felix? the killer seems to like making a show of the bodies, so lix’s body being missing doesn’t make sense. maybe he escaped and he’s out there hurt?”

changbin hummed before agreeing.

“if he wanted to draw the killer away from the house, he could’ve gone out to the woods. i’ll go one way with jisung if you want to go the other way with (y/n)? does that work for you guys?”

the last question was directed towards jisung and (y/n), who agreed hastily. if there was even a slight chance that felix was out there, hurt and alone, they wanted to take it and try to find him. even if it took splitting up in the mass forest behind changbin’s family home.

hyunjin was extremely careful, walking with (y/n). he kept making sure she felt okay, always keeping her in sight and holding her hand. he would make sure she didn’t trip over branches, or get caught on any low hanging brambles. it was nice, but in all honesty (y/n) was too shaken up to care.

any slight movement had her thinking they’d either found felix, or had come face-to-face with the killer, but hyunjin reassured the girl that he’d do anything to protect her. by the time he’d convinced (y/n) to call it a night; the girl was reluctant to go back without having found felix, it was dark and nightfall was hastily closing in.

when they arrived back, they were met with changbin waiting at the door, jisung worriedly pacing by his side. they were relieved to see the pair approaching, overwhelmed with the worry that something had happened to them in the woods.

dinner was a silent affair that night, quiet bowls of ramen shared over an empty table, but none of them could bring themselves to speak. how had they gone from a loud and bustling group of nine, to an anxiety and silent set of four within a week?

the house remained quiet as they cleaned up behind themselves - hyunjin and (y/n) on dish duty as changbin and jisung cleaned up the living room and shut off most of the house - not needing it used anymore. they were all emotionally and physically exhausted, ready to go to bed, when all the lights shut off.

changbin sighed as jisung let out a yelp, the sudden blackness surrounding them had caught him off guard. the four huddled in the living room with their phone flashlights the brighests they could go, while changbin hurriedly texted his parents to see if they could fix the problem.

but all plans to not let it phase them went south as the door loudly slammed open. the four tiptoes across the home, towards the front door to see what the commotion was, only to be met with a horrifying sight.

on the threshold, stood a tall figure in all black and a ghostface mask on their head, the shine of a kitchen knife glistening in the moonlight.

(M/n) grew up hearing from people around him that he was different from other alphas, and he always thought that was a good thing, a bright smile on his face whenever he received such a compliment. After all, every alpha he's ever met was egocentric, self-centered, possessive, and toxic, that's why he thought it was a good thing that he was referred to as different.

The one single important thing that he knew about Chan, was that he was an omega.

And it may be rare however not impossible for an omega to be quite big and muscular, and that's exactly what Chan is. Or that's what Jisung always said about him. (M/n) wouldn't know, he doesn't know the male and he's usually wearing baggy, loose clothing so is not noticeable at all.

"So, what do you say?" And (M/n) remembered what they had been talking about, unwillingly on his part.

He doubted for a few seconds, wondering how he would feel if suddenly a stranger came to live in with him, "I don't know, hyung, I don't really know you're friends-" the male took another bite of the cupcake he stole.

"Not an excuse," (M/n) sighed at that and somehow came up with something to make the omega drop the subject.

"How about I go to your house, and meet your roomies? Then we can decide how everyone feels about it, okay?" Pondering (M/n)'s decision, he shrugged and nodded once.

"I already know I want you as my roommate anyway, and Changbin hyung will like you too," His words did very little effort in helping (M/n), after all, Jisung didn't say a thing about the male he was worried about.

Chan.

After unsuccessfully trying to avoid Jisung, (M/n) ended up getting dragged all the way to the apartment he shared with his friends. He had been coming up with excuses to not go there for the past two days, but Jisung was smarter than he looks, and he ambushed (M/n) when he was walking out of his last class.

"I don't care if you have plans today, you're coming with me," and (M/n) realized he shouldn't have ignored his gut feeling telling him Jisung was planning something when he didn't even try to persuade him earlier in the day.

I can't believe I actually thought he gave up... He lamented to himself while letting himself get dragged all the way to his best friend's apartment. It was a good walking distance, he noticed, unlike the train he had to ride for an hour to get to college.

On the way upstairs to the second floor, Jisung mentioned that Changbin was the only one in the apartment since he only had morning classes and Chan went out, something about his job and going grocery shopping. And even if he knew the only other omega wasn't in the apartment, (M/n) knew his scent must be lingering inside, so before Jisung opened the front door he took a deep breath and followed his best friend inside.

Gently pressing on the scent blockers on his neck, (M/n) walked in and followed Jisung, looking around the place, seeing a few windows opened, probably to not make him feel suffocated by the strong scents of two omegas and the mild scent of a beta. At least he knew his alpha scent wasn't gonna last around for long once he leaves.

Wary of the place he was in, (M/n) kept his hands in front of him, holding his right wrist with his left hand, making sure not to take deep breaths too often.

Hearing a door opening, (M/n) peeled over Jisung's shoulder, seeing a rather short yet muscular man walk out of a room. That's Seo Changbin, (M/n) has seen him around a couple of times, and they have made small talk on a few occasions, but he didn't know much about the male.

"Oh, (M/n), I've been waiting for you, man! Jisungie said he was gonna bring you over but he never did," Changbin patted his shoulder hard, maybe a little too hard, and (M/n) had to hide his pained expression the moment he remembered Changbin not only lifts weights, but he also does boxing.

"I've been... busy with stuff," (M/n) ignored the look Jisung sent at him, that look that said 'you were obviously avoiding this, don't lie', but he didn't comment on his blatant lie.

They talked for a few minutes, mostly Changbin did and both males got to know a little bit more about each other. And Jisung came into the living, finishing what seemed to be a chocolate bar, neither realized that he had gone to the kitchen in the first place.

"Do you know when Chan hyung will be back?" And right before Changbin could answer Jisung's question, the front door opened, and an incredibly captivating scent reached (M/n)'s nose.

He didn't really feel Chan's scent before, especially with how subtle it was, but now that he was back in the apartment he felt it as if he was standing right next to him, presenting his neck at him, letting him smell him for as long as he wanted.

From where he was standing, (M/n) saw him as he closed the door and locked it, turning around with his eyes down on his phone, the same hand that held the keys. A backpack hanging off his shoulder and a grocery bag in his hand.

And suddenly, he stopped abruptly before taking another step forward, his nose twitching slightly as he frowned, his nose caught the scent of another person. Not quite sure what they were since it was very weak and subtle.

He looked up and made eye contact with (M/n), who stared at the floor, slightly embarrassed at being caught staring so shamelessly. Jisung ran at Chan and brought him further into the living room, and seeing them standing next to each other, (M/n) noticed that Chan was the tallest of the three.

Wrapping his arm around Chan, Jisung extended his arm in (M/n)'s direction, who kept shyly looking somewhere else that wasn't Chan's intense stare, "Hyung, this is (M/n)~!" Chan seemed confused at Jisung's words, and he turned his head to look at him.

"Your alpha friend?" The way Chan said the word 'alpha' made (M/n) frown slightly, keeping his head down as he felt hurt by the tone of a complete stranger. He could already tell Chan didn't want him there.

(M/n) heard Jisung sighing and after looking up, he saw his friend sending the older male a disappointed look, "Hey, (M/n) is not like all those brainless alphas we've met, he's actually kind and thoughtful," (M/n) saw how Chan seemed to be skeptical about that, but he let out a short sigh.

"Is he our new roommate?" (M/n) only shook his head a couple of times, giving a negative response to the question.

"I'm not-"

"That's the plan~!" Rudely interrupted by Jisung, (M/n) looked at his friend with a tired look.

"Jisung," he said with a neutral tone of voice, making the male look at him with a wide smile, but (M/n) proceeded with his response, "I'm not sure, I don't wanna rush things and make you guys uncomfortable," even though it seems like I already did, he couldn't help but comment to himself, the clear look of disgust and disapproval on Chan's face, the same expression that made him hate being an alpha.

Changbin realized (M/n)'s mood and he walked closer to him, patting his shoulder again, only more gently this time.

"Well, I don't mind you living here, you're kinda cool," with those words muttered, Changbin beckoned Chan over to them, "You'll like him once you get to know him, hyung."

Frowning unsure, Chan took a deep breath and sat his backpack on the couch before heading to the kitchen, most likely to place the groceries away.

"Fine."

For the next hour and a half, (M/n) was awkwardly sitting between Changbin and Jisung, rarely getting into a conversation with Chan, who still seemed a little unsure about getting close to him, physically and personally.

And with that, (M/n) couldn't help but let that small voice wonder why such a beautiful omega reacted that way once he learned he was an alpha, the instinct telling him to protect and reassure him of whatever uncertainty he may have, and (M/n) mentally beat himself over for that.

That was the same behavior other alphas had, thinking that they had to protect omegas because they were weaker, and inferior to them, and (M/n) didn't like that.

In the end, not wanting to make things even more awkward and uncomfortable for Chan, (M/n) said goodbye, all the while keeping his distance from the older omega and he left the apartment, mentally preparing himself for the long journey back to his house.

Looking out the train window, he wondered if he should become their roommate or just keep living in his parents' house, he couldn't bear knowing he would make Chan feel uncomfortable in his own house.

For the following week, Jisung kept bothering him every chance he got, finding him every break to ask him if he already decided to move in with them, and at some point, on an impulse to make the male finally shut up, (M/n) accepted.

He was worried about Chan the most. He hasn't been able to stop thinking about the omega, seemingly liking him more and more, despite only seeing him in person once.

He was especially worried since it seemed he liked Chan more than Chan seemed to like him, and he was scared of what could happen with their cohabitation.

(M/n) didn't voice his worries and concerns, and like that, he moved in a few days later.

But if (M/n) would've known that living in that apartment was gonna make him act like those alphas he so deeply despised... he would've refused without a doubt.

We go into the kitchen and he takes out the ingredients

We start baking. If I think about it, I've never been so intimate with him. Usually there is also Hyunjin and we all stay together. But like this... it never happened. Gosh he's really handsome.

Felix: I know I'm beautiful but can you stop staring at me pls?

Omo he noticed. I am probably blushing like I never did...

Time skips- 15/20 mins later

Felix: ok they're ready now we have to put them in the oven. Open it pls

I do as he said then I set the timer and the temperature.

YN: what can we do now while we wait?

Felix: Uhm... do you want to watch a movie?

YN: Yh great idea

We go into the living room and turn on the television.

We start watching the movie. It's kind of boring but it is the only one on tv right now.

At first I didn't notice anything about how Felix was acting, then I realized he was scooting next to me more and more every minute.

YN: Lix do you need anything?

He starts blushing but he anyway speaks

Felix: Uhm... C-Can we Cuddle?

YN: huh?

This leaves me speechless

YN: O-Of course.. come here

He comes beside me and he's about to hug me but suddenly the timer rings

Trouble in Paradise

Summary: Hyunjin feels something is wrong with his best friend and he´s determined to find out what. Based on Moment 4 and 5 of Jisoo being jealous of Hyunlix

February 2020

“What I do when I feel sad? I go to cuddle Hyune! It always makes me feel a bit better.”

Holding her phone in her right hand, Jisoo read a few comments on the Live.

She didn´t do them often since the girl felt awkward talking to a camera but when she did, she enjoyed them a lot.

Jisoo watched the comments flooding in. Most of them were variations of “Huh?” Or “But Hyunjin said he doesn´t like skinship?!” which made her huff in amusement before her face turned serious.

“You´re right he doesn´t like skinship… Well he does but only with Lixie-ah.” The female deadpanned and watched as the Staff that sat in the room behind the camera look at her in shock.

Various emotions crossed the staff members faces but most prominent was the panic that reflected in their eyes! One of them hurriedly stood up and made an X with their arms. Signaling her that she should turn the LIVE off, NOW!!!

Jisoo sighed. She shouldn´t have known said that, the girl knew that but shutting the Live off know would seem even more suspicious.

The staff member gave her another signal and the girl hurriedly announced that she had to leave for a schedule before pressing the end button.

“That was not Okay Jisoo-ssi! Why would you say that? You know what will happen now don´t you? Your Fans are going to speculate and analize every move you and the boys make!” They scolded. Disappointment radiating off of them in waves.

The girl nodded. She knew that already and if she could change it she would!

“I´m sorry! I made a mistake.”

A few days later

After that Vlive, STAYs trended #Hyunlix and #IsmellJealousy on twitter. The reactions were a mixed. A few found it hilarious, some were curious and some were just straight up rude!

Jisoo knew not to listene to the haters online. It worked most of the time but sometimes the comments hit a little too close to home!

That´s what happened now.

The girl couldn´t remember how often she had read that she had no right to say these things, that there was a reason why Hyunjin didn´t want her to cuddle him and that she should stay away from him alltogehter since the other dancer was most likely very annoyed with the girl.

It got to a point where Jisoo started to believe them and avoiding the two boys!

When they were at broadcasting stations Jisoo went to stand next to someone else, talking to them only when it was necessary and hanging out at the dorm stopped altogether.

Hyunjin knew that something was wrong but he could not figure out what happened to cause the change in his friend.

The dancer wasn´t often on twitter and so he didn´t know what had been going on nor did he know about the VLIVE Jisoo had held a few days ago.

He only knew that his best friend didn´t want to be around him!

In the meanwhile Jisoo started to distance herself even further from him, to the point where even the other members noticed that something was seriously off.

The other members minus Hyunjin knew what happened since the staff had told the manager who had called the leader immediately. What Chan didn´t expect was that his second youngest maknae would actually take it to heart and distance herself.

He tried to confront her multiple times but Jisoo had managed to escape and slip away every single time!

It took almost two weeks for Hyunjin to finally have enough. The boy had figured that the female would come and talk to him at some point about it, like she usually would but when he realized that she wasn´t just avoiding him but also the others and especially Felix, he knew he had to intervene!

Felix was sitting with Hyunjin on the older 00-liners bed when Felix started talking. The door still opened by an inch or two.

“Have you talked to Jisoo recently?”

Hyunjin shook his head.

“No, Soo-ah´s been avoiding me. It makes me crazy because she wont tell me what´s wrong with her! She hasn´t talked to you either right?” the older groaned and let himself fall back on his bed.

He ran his hand through his hair in frustration.

Felix gave him a look that told him everything he needed to know.

“I really want to know what´s up with her. Everytime I enter the room she either leaves or suddenly gets quiet!”

“She´s been like that since that LIVE two weeks ago so maybe it has something to do with that?” the Aussie suggested while playing a game on his phone.

“What LIVE?” the older looked confused. Had someone said something online?

He hadn´t seen anything recently but he also hadn´t been on social media recently either so maybe he did miss something.

On the other hand, taking online comments to heart didn´t seem like something Jisoo would do!

“Jisoo-ah did a Live and got scolded for a comment she made about us. You didn´t know? It trended on twitter for 2 or 3 days.”

Felix looked at Hyunjin. The confusion was evident on his face.

“Us? As in you and me? What did she say?” the older pointed between them with his finger.

“She got asked what she did when she felt down or bad and said that she would go to you in that case…”

“You she likes to hug me when she has these moments. It´s cute when she does it!” Hyunjin had to smile. A cuddly Jisoo was a very cute Jisoo!

“…hmm, Stays were confused since you usually act like you hate skinship and Jisoo replied with and I quote: Well he does but only with Lixie-ah.

You can imagine the reaction online.”

The older dancer didn´t know what to do. He stared at the groups sunshine, trying to formulate the 1000 thoughts running through his mind into a coherent sentence. Puzzle pieces finally snapping into place.

Yes he could infact imagine what the comments said and he didn´t like the thought one bit!

What left his mouth was a simple but still effective: “Ughhh?”

In that moment the door fully opened and Jisoo appeared. The girl looked at the boys hanging out together and stopped in her tracks.

“Oh sorry, Hannie said Seungmin was here. I´ll leave you to it then…” she trailed off, quickly turning to leave the room.

“Soo-ah?!”

Hyunjin jumped up from his place and ran after the other member.

Felix had to chuckle. When it came to theses two there really was not getting in between!

“Jisoo stop!”

Jisoo did not stop! In fact, it only made her walk faster. Hoping that she could get away before he reached her!

Hyunjin grabbed her shoulder gently and turned her to face him.

The girl tried to shrug his hand of nonchalantly but her fellow dancer didn´t let her.

“Soo-ah what the hell? Since when don´t you talk to me? And since when do you listen to what someone says online?”

The girl looked at him sharply but otherwise didn´t react.

The members that sat in the living room quickly left, not wanting to be involved.

“What do you mean?” she mumbled under her breath.

Hyunjin starred at her. Did she really try to act dumb with him? HIM?

“What I mean is you believing comments online! What´s that about? They aren´t true!”

Jisoo shifted around, trying to avoid looking at him.

“Well… I…”

She took deep breath before whispering something Hyunjin nevere ever wanted to hear again.

“I didn´t want to make you uncomfortable…”

The boys heart shattered into pieces. The way she said these words was heartbreaking. Jisoo really did believe what she read!

“You don´t! Never! You couldn´t even if you tried! Aish I literally took a shower while you were brushing your teeth!”

The girl pulled a face. It wasn´t really something she consciously wanted to think about. Especially since she wasn´t even at fault for that moment! SHE had been in the bath room first! And she had left it VERY quickly afterwards!

“Could we not bring that up? Thank you!” she dead panned.

Hyunjin chuckeled at her expression.

“Listen, I love you okay! You are my sister in everything but blood and i´d rather burn my art supplies than have you stop hugging and cuddling me okay? Don´t do that! These past two weeks were making me go nuts!”

Tears were spilling down Jisoo´s cheeks as she swallowed a sob.

The older pulled her into his arms, wrapping them tightly around her back. This was the way it was supposed to be and if he started to cling more onto her on purpose, he didn´t mention it to anyone.

What he did do that day though was post a series pics on Instagram.

Rhythm I had terrible nightmares/night terrors last night cause of my PTSD so I was just wondering how any of the boys (especially Binnie cause of Ginger’s background) would react and/or comfort their girl if the same thing happened

i'm sorry you're going through that, bb!

glad you can find some comfort in my silly little stories, and i hope these don't happen too frequently.

here's what i think:

for the alphas:

if it was really bad, Chris would be the type to take pretty out of bed and to the bathroom. he'd fill the tub and bring her inside with him. he'd have her sit between her legs, with her back against his chest. if she feels like having some noise, he'll sing. if she feels like being in silence, he'll remain quiet, and only speak in hushed tones if he absolutely had to.

Minho would be the type to get out of bed and bring kitten a cold glass of water, maybe even a sour candy. would ask kitten if she wants to talk about it, most of the times she does. they typically move to the sofa to change the setting, search for sir percival so he can also provide some cuddles, and just start talking about the nightmares until it transitions into nonsense and the uneasy feeling has settled.

Changbin... he'd probably be used to it. i wouldn't be surprised if his spicy gingerbread does, in fact, wake up often in the middle of the night because she was re-living her trauma in her sleep. when this happens, they nest. Changbin would build a nest around her, leaving enough space to go in himself, hug her close, rub her back, and remind her that she's there with him, that he's not gonna let anything happen to her ever again, and that he loves her. they'll be all sappy and profess their love often. i don't think Autumn would talk frequently about the details of her dreams, so she'd just snuggle close and let herself be smothered by Changbin and his love.

for our favourite throuple (hyunlix + moss):

i feel like nesting is also their way to go. listen, i'm sure Felix often has nightmares like these, and it's hard to deal with them because he sleeps as a wolf, so he can wake up a bit... violently. typically Hyunjin shifts and does his best to calm Felix down, and they end up snuggled on a nest Hyunjin made on the floor. if Moss were to sleep with them, this would be their modus operandi as well. they'd all shift, nest, and lay in their warm snuggle pile. they prefer to deal with it as wolves, with wolf cuddles.

as for Jisung, Seungmin, and Jeongin... i think i'd leave that as a mystery for now, please don't be mad at me🤭.

Late Night Bites (a Hyunlix One Shot, vampire x hunter au)

Pairing: Hyujin x Felix

Summary: A vampire and his hunter meet in a bar. . . 

Warnings: 18+, sexy themes, light smut, vampire violence

Author’s Note: I’m just getting back into writing so please let me know your thoughts and feel free to shoot me a heart, comment, or a follow for support! Just a quick bite of a story here, but I really enjoyed writing it so I hope you like it :) 

One thing was for sure, and that was that Hyunjin was hungry. As he looked around the club tonight, he felt every person’s eyes stay on his body for much longer than would be considered normal. He knew he had this effect on people, but couldn’t help relishing in it every time. As a vampire, Hyunjin relied on this effect to bring in his prey, but he didn’t expect that he was being preyed upon tonight too. 

Felix crouched in the shadows of the seedy bar, allowing his dark hoodie to hide him amongst the drunkards, waiting for the vampire to try to feed. He knew that if he moved too quickly or attempted to approach his life could be over. 

As Hyunjin eyed the crowd, he noted an attractive boy on the other side of the bar. He couldn’t help himself -- he loved a pretty face. He made eye contact with what he thought would be an innocent victim. . . and was met with the ferocity of a thousand years worth of loathing. If Hyunjin had a heartbeat, it would’ve stopped at the freckled boy’s dark gaze. 

Hyunjin tried to make himself the affable seductor and ran a hand through his blonde hair, acting purposely awkward as he gave a small smile and brought his eyes up expecting to meet the boy’s. But the boy had already moved! 

Felix’s heart stopped when the vampire chose him out of the crowd. He couldn’t stop the hatred in his eyes, and knew he had revealed too much. He was shocked, however, to find that the monster still tried to make him a victim. Maybe he should lean into the idea? The beautiful creature tried to lure him in, and Felix used this moment to get close. He wasn’t sure if this even aligned with his goals at this point, but he couldn’t help but want to be closer to this tall, illustrious creature.

Hyunjin blinked and turned his head to look around, only to see the pretty boy standing in front of him, looking enamored. He caught his breath and suppressed a giggle, the hunter had a crush. 

“So, who wins?” Hyunjin whispered.

“Wins what?” the boy answered, his unexpectedly deep voice catching Hyunjin off guard. 

“The fight we’re having,” Hyunjin answered. “Who’s winning?”

Felix thought about Hyunjin’s question. He really wasn’t sure he wanted to win anymore. These creatures were just too damn good.

“Should we step outside?” Felix responded, placing both his hands in his back pockets like a teen. He cursed his libido for making him so weak, but he just had to know what this man felt like before either one of their lives ended.

Hyunjin felt a wave of heartbreak pass over him as he noted the brevity of this encounter. “Let’s,” he answered. 

Hyunjin followed Felix out into the alley before putting a hand on Felix’s shoulder. “We can stop here,” he muttered.

Felix turned his head towards Hyunjin’s hand without turning around. His heart was heavy as he eyed the beautiful monster in his periphery. His family of hunters had warned him of romantic attachments to these beings, but he just couldn’t help himself. 

“What happens next?” Felix asked.

Hyunjin squeezed Felix’s shoulder reassuringly, causing Felix to turn and look at him directly. Hyunjin felt the desire take over him as he quickly pressed the smaller boy to the brick walls of the building, registering the whine from Felix as Hyunjin grabbed his hair, pulling Felix’s head up as he bit into his outstretched neck.

It was like nothing Felix had ever felt. His body was consumed with fire, a painful pleasure that blinded him to everything. He could feel his energy being taken, but it felt like it was only fair to give it away in exchange for such heaven. Until it stopped suddenly, leaving him feeling cold and barren.

Felix’s awareness returned and he noted himself still in Hyunjin’s arms, the creature whispering in his ear, “Come back now, come back, I won’t kill you.”

“What are you doing?” Felix asked in a raspy voice. “I’m confused.”

“Confused?” Hyunjin asked.

“You could’ve killed me, I could kill you, why are you being a fool?”

“Why would I kill you?” Hyunjin answered. “I’m pretty sure I’m in love with you.”

It wasn’t the first time Felix had heard those words, but it was definitely the first time hearing it less than 10 minutes after meeting someone. And from a demon who’d just taken a bite of him no less! 

Felix couldn’t stop the smile from spreading across his face as he took in this ridiculous situation. 

“I think I might love you too, actually,” Felix found himself responding.

“Want to come to my house and suck my dick?” Hyunjin answered with a giggle. “I can’t promise not to bite, but you have to promise not to stab me with anything other than your body parts. Can you do that?”

Felix screamed with laughter, his smile lighting up the dark alleyway as Hyunjin finally joined in. The two of them laughed at the ridiculousness of their situation before finally meeting eyes.

Felix caught his breath and said, “I’ll do my best.”

Hyunjin’s eyes met Felix’s as he walked towards him and put an arm around Felix’s back. 

“Then let’s go,” he whispered into the smaller boy’s ear as they faded away in a cloud of smoke.

first things first. please enjoy this picture of side effects hyunlix bc it makes me FERAL.

bff it’s taken me this long to even be able to think about it without spiraling. my shows were the ones right after they had covid so i didn’t even know whether or not they were still happening until the evening before the first show it was STRESSFUL. the whole week was an emotional roller coaster let me tell you.

i cant get over that they were in the same room as me. they’re real??? they’re real boys. real, talented, sweet, charismatic boys. i’m never going to be over this experience.

first thing, i am terrified of lee felix. this man has a way of looking at you with a little smirk on his face that is just so scary. i swear i made eye contact with him at least 15 times he really did his best to look at and wave at every stay he could it was so endearing even though i was quaking in my boots. his stage presence is INSANE he is a true performer!

lee know??? his voice live……he’s so angelic. he looks and sounds like an angel. poor boy was exhausted the second day because he had just recovered from testing positive but he still put his all in and chan and jisung kept trying to make him smile it was adorable.

bang chan……the man that he is. the amount of chan abs i was flashed with was enough to feed me for the rest of my life. he’s so endearing and cute during his ments, joking around with the boys and with us he’s just so sweet. him and felix enjoyed bantering a lot and he got flustered every time we did the best leader chant.

and seo changbin this man was WRECKING ME he was glowing i swear to god!!!! he was born to be on stage truly. seungmin was so cute and smiley and wavey every time i looked at him i smiled and his SWEATER PAWS good lord. and his voice is so so clean and crisp he really showed it off with his covers. jeongin is no longer baby bread he is full on burnt toast and i am HERE FOR IT. he was also recovering but i swear you couldn’t tell his voice was literally perfect. and hyunjin??? did not miss a SINGLE beat he is really such a talented dancer. and not to mention he LOOKED AMAZING MY GOODNESS.

“okay, (y/n), i’m gonna need you to put the knife down, yeah?” chan pleaded, jeongin scrambling off of his lap as he moved to get off the bed with his hands in the air. “what’s going on?”

and all of a sudden, it was like there was no more oxygen in the room. (y/n)’s heart was thumping in a way that felt too fast for her chest, breath coming out in short, hot pants. tears were falling from her eyes, thick and salty and she dropped the knife to the floor with a clang.

“channie– innie–” was all she could squeeze out before she fell into his arms, the older male bringing her to sit on the bed next to jeongin.

it took a while to calm her down, and even after her breathing had calmed and the tears had stopped, the small trembles across her body still persisted. in all honesty, she felt silly. she didn’t mean to interrupt chan and jeongin - although that was a can of worms to be opened another time.

“thought someone had broken in. sorry for scaring you…” (y/n) mumbled, fiddling with her fingers when she felt chan get ready to talk - she knew what he was going to say anyway. “i… i got a text earlier. a private number– and it really scared me.”

“why didn’t you say anything?” jeongin pushed lightly, pulling (y/n) into a hug. “what did it say?”

opting to instead just show them the message rather than put herself through explaining it, (y/n) felt smaller than she ever had. did she really just let a stupid anonymous message cause her to nearly maim one of her best friends? that’s so stupid.

“i just– i thought it was a prank. i thought it was stupid to worry you guys.”

“i get that,” chan sighed. “but at the moment, we can’t take any risks, okay? tell us straight away if this happens again.”

she nodded, before lifting herself up to go back to bed - much to the surprise of the two boys next to her.

“where are you going? you can stay here with us tonight if you want.” jeongin offered, the worry clear on his features, but (y/n) shook her head.

“honestly, i need to sleep. sorry for interrupting you guys.” she smiled, waving before she left the room.

much to her amusement - which she desperately needed in that moment, she managed to catch the way both boys’ faces flushed scarlet as she closed the door.

when she woke up that morning, (y/n) could’ve honestly sworn she’d had the best night sleep ever. until she felt how damp her pillow was, how swollen her face was, and reality came crashing back down on her.

it had only been a few days since heejin was murdered, yet everything was falling in flames and crashing around them. woodsboro was on the verge of falling apart. three young women had all been murdered in the supposed safety of their own homes, and the police had no leads.

how was anyone supposed to feel safe anymore?

when a notification dinged on her phone, (y/n) scooped it up and saw that she had received an email from the university - what the fuck? it was a list of guidelines and rules set in place to ensure the safety and security of all students.

all evening classes were canceled until further notice, and all morning and afternoon classes could be canceled if the professor deemed fit. all students living on campus would have security cameras fitting in communal areas of their dormitories, as well as camera doorbells. 

but it just seemed to get worse, or better depending on how you looked at it. no one was to go out alone - at least in pairs and groups of three. students were recommended to get their groceries through doorstep delivery. the campus was practically shutting down.

but something about the wording was off. something felt weird about it, and she just prayed that this wasn’t going to backfire or turn into something else.

pulling herself out of the comfort of her duvet, she padded down the hallway to jeongin’s room, knocking on the door softly. she opened it after she’d heard a soft voice telling her to come in, and was greeted with chan and jeongin playing xbox together quietly.

“sorry, did we wake you? i told him to stop yelling at the tv.” jeongin smiled, ushering (y/n) in where she sat on the edge of the bed cross-legged.

“did either of you get that email from the principal? all the new rules and shit.” deep down she had an inkling of the answer, but hoped she was wrong. her suspicions were confirmed when chan and jeongin looked at her confused, simultaneously pulling out their phones to refresh their emails. 

when they looked at one another and shook their heads, (y/n) scoffed. this was so typical. the principal - a misogynistic, homophobic dirtbag making it seem like women are damsels in distress. while 9y/n) could agree that women clearly needed to more careful than men, giving the current targets of the killer, but forcing them to become hermits while the male student body could roam free was unfair.

she could almost 100% guarantee the principal - and most woodsboro residents - were set on the idea of the killer being a man. which was in no way a guaranteed fact - the killer could easily be a woman. aileen wuornos, myra hindley, amelia dyer, they could all do it so what was stopping a girl from woodsboro from being capable of horrors like this. not that it was a nice thought, but (y/n) was a true crime fanatic at heart and always found it interesting to see how sexism was rooted even in the most evil of actions.

given that her point had been proven, she left chan and jeongin to carry on “gaming” as they claimed to be doing, so she could get herself ready for the day. it was finally the weekend,so the guys and herself had planned to go and visit jisung’s dorm to spend the day together as well as say goodbye to yeji.

thinking about her friend made (y/n) slightly sad, that she wouldn’t have her closest female buddy by her side on campus anymore. but honestly, she completely sympathized with yeji’s decision to move back home for the rest of the academic year. the trauma she had endured was enough to send anyone over the edge and it just wasn’t fair to keep her on campus.

she was also aware that jisung and yeji were also very capable and willing to make another go of things, and so yeji’s departure would be hard on her best friend too. but at least they had each other - jisung was always key to (y/n) maintaining her sanity while being a university student.

chan, jeongin and herself arrived at jisung’s dorm at about 1pm - enough time to relax and just be with one another before yeji’s arrived to say her goodbye’s at 6pm. and honestly, it was nice to just normal again for a minute - sitting on her friend’s couch and gossiping like normal young adults did. she found out she was the last in the group to learn of chan and jeongin’s arrangement - something she playfully attacked them for. she felt as this as occurring in her own home, she had a right to know, with a smile on her face as chan blushed and jeongin threw a cushion at her.

they eventually discussed what the new rules would mean for their weekly movie nights and biweekly games nights, deciding that it would be best to hold them all at (y/n)’s dorm for the foreseeable future - purely so she wouldn’t get in trouble if caught by campus security, they claimed, but (y/n) knew that wasn’t the case.

 as much as she refuted the idea, hating the silly little girl who needs saving narrative that movies like this seemed to force on its female characters, she also eventually agreed to the guy's protests that she wouldn’t ever be alone anymore. not at home, not between classes. 

although, she managed to beat down jisung’s argument of having someone stay in her room with her eventually, but even the boys agreed with her so she knew she’d win that fight for a glimpse of freedom.

by the time 6pm rolled around, anyone could see that jisung and (y/n) were already on the verge of crying. they’d miss yeji more than anyone else on campus, even if others tried to refute that fact.

a soft knock on the front door threw the group out of their trance, (y/n) beating everyone to it as she sprinted to the door, throwing it open. and there stood yeji - hair scraped back, eyes swollen and puffy, much more pale than (y/n) had ever seen her/ not even freshers flu fucked her up this bad, but (y/n) knew that’s what trauma could do to a person.

“my yej–” (y/n) pulled the other girl into a hug, which was gratefully reciprocated, before she dragged her to an empty bedroom to have their goodbyes in private.

“you’ll message me whenever you can, yah? and make sure you keep looking after yourself. i need you in tip-top condition for when we go away over summer, angel.” (y/n) tried to lighten the mood as much as she could, but to no avail. it was almost like yeji was a shell of the girl she used to be.

the pair spent their time just curled in each other's arms. really, they only had each other to turn to when in need of feminine advice. for (y/n), the boys were never any help so she leaned on yeji like a sister, and she supposed that yeji really was her chosen sister. as for yeji, sure she had her old roommate, but she truly felt like she found a part of herself in (y/n), and now she’d lost nari, outside of her family her friend was all she had.

as hard as it was to pull away and say goodbye for now, they both knew it was for the best. they’d always find their way back to one another - but yeji staying on campus would be unfair to herself and she needed an escape.

when (y/n) left the room, fighting to keep her tears contained, jisung pulled her into a tight hug.

“how is she?” he whispered, as if speaking louder would break the dorm from the bottom up, and (y/n) shrugged.

“she’s a mess, ji. she needs you. don’t worry about me, go see her.”

so jisung slowly walked into the bedroom, his heart breaking at yeji’s disheveled form. his soul yearned for her, for the happy-go-lucky and bubbly girl he fell in love with, although he’d love he regardless, and prayed for her sake that she could get through this.

crouching on the floor opposite where she sat, he gently took her hands in his, warming at the way she smiled at him so softly. that was the girl he knew. the girl who was still shy after knowing everything about him, and how much he’d do for her. the girl who felt she wasn’t worthy of being loved by someone she called “so perfect”, even though jisung knew it was an honor to be able to call her his girl.

he really did try hard to combat the lump in his throat, because he knew he had to be strong for yeji, but it was so, so difficult. all he wanted to do was wrap his arms around her and keep her forever, but he knew that wasn’t possible. so instead, he opted for the next best thing. he held her hands, and comforted her like he knew she needed.

they sat and talked for a while, just keeping the conversation light and steered away from goodbyes as long as possible. they discussed their respective summer plans, jisung boldly stating that he’d be taking the dark-haired girl on as many dates as she’d allow him to.

eventually, she migrated from the bed and they stayed holding each other in a ball on the floor - in their own little world, until yeji’s phone beeped, signaling that her sister was back to take her home.

she knew it would hurt too much to say another goodbye to (y/n), and her other friends, so she pleaded with jisung to just get her out of the apartment as quickly as possible. of course, he obliged, wanting nothing more than to keep those tears from falling down her pretty face.

once he had got her outside, politely waving to her sister in the car, he turned back to yeji with a sad smile on his face.

“text me when you’re home, okay? and i’ll come to visit you as much as you want. it’s all going to be okay, yej.”

“i know ji,” she sniffled, arms crossed as if protecting herself from the crashing waves of emotion overwhelming her. “just… look after yourself. and (y/n). and the guys. i can’t lose you guys too.”

her voice trailed off at the end, jisung pulling her into a tight hug and kissing the top of her head in a comforting manner. he stayed right where he was stood as she pulled away and got into the car. he didn’t dare move until the car had left his field of vision, just in case it was the last time he ever saw her.

finally letting the tears fall down his face, he took his time going back into the dorm and back to the group. he wouldn’t let anything else happen to his friends. he couldn’t.

oh also… i have a scary story! so this actually happened to me and i remember it so clearly too.

so basically when i was younger, my brothers were obsessed with remote controlled cars (and so was i but my parents rarely bought me any :/ but not the point!). so there was this one… i guess it was a big jeep? maybe the size of a small cat. and it’s wheels would light up with blue lights whenever you drove it. my brother used to love that car a lot and played with it almost everyday until it sadly broke :( i think the remote controller fell maybe? it just stopped working.

anyway. so one night i was sitting alone in the living room, my brothers were upstairs, and my parents were at work (doctors on call lmao so you know they wouldn’t be back until the morning). i was just minding my own business when suddenly, that broken jeep that was sitting on the table suddenly made a sound, the wheels rolling with the blue lights. it was only for a second, nothing more. but it spooked me.

because a) the only remote control for that car was on the opposite end of the sofa i was sitting on. and b) i’m pretty sure dad mentioned how the car ran out of battery earlier.

i wasn’t gonna sit and find out so i ran upstairs, heart beating super fast, and went to sleep with my brothers in our parents’ bedroom.

still don’t know why that happened. or how. but it’s a fun story to tell!

AMG HELPPP!! It’s always the little stuff that’s like really spooky 😭 the ones that are like you blink and it’s gone so you’re like sitting there all creeped out. Wonder if it ever did that again bc that’s creepy 😭😭😭 would do the same but also might end up having a staring contest with the object bc uhm— 😳 what compelled you?! In my supervision?

Idk if I ever experienced something like that 😭 most of my ghost stories come from secondhand retellings from my relatives (my aunt’s house is pretty haunted and my dad’s childhood home also had disembodied footsteps on the second floor)

the closest personal experience I had tl;dr version was someone wailing outside my classroom during math class. It was pretty loud so we thought it was a lost kid but when we checked no one was outside (and the wailing was still there. It was like you can hear someone crying bc it was loud) so we all huddled and prayed. The moment we finished, the crying stopped so it was vv weird 😭
