"I'm not sure about automobiles. With all their speed forward they may be a step backward in civilization." - Booth Tarkington
You have some time before the briefing to steal away for yourself, and you and Spencer are in the break room alone together. You're leaning against the counter and you pull Spencer in closer to you by his hands. You wrap your arms around his neck and look into his beautiful brown eyes.
"I got us a nice hotel room for the both of us this weekend. It has a fireplace and a really big bathtub that can fit two people. What do you say?" you grin.
"That sounds amazing. We could really use it to get away."
You pull him in closer and kiss him slowly with a hint of tongue. No one else is around to judge you, but that blissful peace doesn't last long. Derek walks into the break room just as you pull away from him.
"I'm telling you right now, we're not leaving the room," you chuckle.
"What are you two talking about?"
"How much hot sex we're going to have over the weekend."
Spencer blushes deep red and Derek laughs as he pours himself some coffee. He caps his cup and walks past Spencer but not before he pats his chest.
"Wrap it before you tap it," he winks.
"It's so easy to get you like this," you smirk and pull away from Spencer. "You're cute when you're flustered. If only they knew what you were like in the bedroom."
"Don't you dare tell them," Spencer gasps when you walk away.
"Yes, sir," you smirk and wink.
Everyone makes their way to the briefing room where JJ is getting set up. Once everyone is in, she puts up pictures of current victims and their crime scenes. This unsub is killing people with his car; that's new.
"An unsub that kills with his car? I haven't seen that before," Emily says.
"Neither have the police in Bend, Oregon which is why they need our help. There have been two victims in the last twelve days. The first victim is Maria Delgado, twenty-three. She was hit on a morning jog. The second victim is Shannon Makely, forty-three. She was stranded on the side of the road when her car broke down.
"What makes the locals think that they were connected?"
"For one thing, they were both backed over after the initial impact. This wasn't an accident. Plus, they matched treads in both scenes. They were large wheels for all terrain. Their wounds also indicated a raised bumper, so they're thinking a large SUV to a truck."
"Do they know the make or model?" you ask.
"No. The tires are made for multiple kinds of vehicles."
"I'll do what I can to see what kind of car it is."
"Were there any witnesses to either incident?"
"No, both victims were attacked in secluded areas."
"Two tons of metal make a hell of a weapon," Derek says.
"Serial killers have been known to become rather attached to their vehicles. Bittaker and Norris even gave theirs a nickname. Murder Mac," Spencer explains.
"Bittaker and Norris were sexual sadists. There's no sign of torture here. This sounds like thrill kills for easy targets randomly selected."
"We need to think about if they're not random. We need to see if there is a connection between the two victims."
"With this type of impact, the vehicle shouldn't be hard to pick out of a lineup. There should be significant front-end damage."
"Somehow I don't think it's gonna be that easy," Rossi shrugs.
"Well, I think it's safe to assume our unsub is male," you say.
"I agree with you, given what we know about aggressive driving and road rage."
"And the fact that men have an unnatural bond with their cars," Emily adds.
"That is true," JJ nods.
"Wait a minute, I don't know about unnatural," Derek says.
"I once dated a guy who washed his car more than he washed his hair," JJ says.
"A nice car needs love."
"A woman doesn't?" you ask Rossi.
"I'm not qualified to answer that."
"I'm just saying a big car is phallic like he's overcompensating for something. Maybe he's impotent. If the unsub sees himself as physically defective, the car not only gives him the power and control he otherwise lacks, but it also serves as a shield."
"Maybe a way to avoid physical contact?" Hotch asks.
"Now we're going in a different direction. Power, control, and female victims equal up to a rape profile."
"Rape and thrill kills are two very different profiles. What does victimology tell us?"
"Nothing, yet. Shannon Makely was a white, married, commodities trader. Maria Delgado was a Hispanic grad student and a competitive tri-athlete."
"So far, gender's our only link. Hopefully, the crime scenes will tell us more."
It takes eight hours to get to Bend, Oregon from where you are, and Detective Quinn is waiting for you, Derek, and Rossi when you arrive. The rest went back to the station to get set up. The crime scene is so new that the blood is still on the ground from where Shannon was hit. You're kind of floored by the energy she left behind, you have to take a moment to gather yourself.
Rossi and Derek immediately talk to the detective while you stay where you are. All the officers and police cars disappear until the only one that's left is Shannon's car. She is stuck on the side of the road after her car broke down, and she's holding her phone up to get a signal to call for help.
She gets out of her car and starts walking in hopes that she catches a connection. She doesn't get far when the unsub comes around the corner. He stops exactly where the tire tracks are found in real-time. Time slows down the second Shannon turns her head toward the unsub. He slams his foot on the gas and lurches forward, still in slow motion. He rams her at full speed, backs over her, hits her again, and speeds off down the road.
You walk closer to the spot where Shannon's car broke down and focus on the big lifted truck instead. You rewind the events until the truck is right beside you. Of course, you can't see anything inside the car. Either the windows are tinted or your abilities can't put together what the inside looks like. Still, even though you can't see inside, you feel the unsub looking at you.
There is no distinctive mark that tells you what make and model this is, but you do know a couple of things. This is a lifted truck that someone put time and effort into, it's black in color, and the taillights are rectangular and small. You replay the events five times before letting the unsub escape. You're not getting anything else off the truck, but you're glad you got this much.
"Tell us about what happened," Derek's words bring you back to reality.
"Shannon lived a little outside of town and was on her way home from work when she broke down."
"So, she breaks down and gets out to start walking. Why not call for help?" Rossi asks.
"There's no service," you say. You point to the tire tracks on the ground. "He made a complete stop here then hit the gas at full speed. He hit her twice and then sped off."
"Full stop in the middle of the road? I take it there's not a lot of traffic out here?"
"Not on this stretch," Detective Quinn says. "Not at that time of day, at least."
"She was done working by three in the afternoon? What did she do?"
"She was a broker that specialized in foreign markets. The time difference made for some odd hours."
"There's something not right," you say.
"What are you thinking about?"
"What are the odds that she breaks down right here? She can't use her phone, there's no traffic, no witnesses, and nowhere to run. It's the perfect place for an ambush."
In the case of Maria Delgado, she was hit while she was jogging. The area in which she was hit is a popular spot for joggers, and not many people can take the stress of that hill. Maria was a tri-athlete that was jogging up there from off the main road. The unsub drove in where he could and ran her down the hill.
That's theory one. Theory two is that he was already there lying in wait. A woman jogging alone would be aware if someone was tailing her. She was the reason he was up there lying in wait like he knew she would be there. These attacks aren't random; they all have some significance to the unsub, which means they can be connected.
Once finished at Shannon's crime scene, you headed back to the police station to talk with the other half of the team.
"The only thing I got from his car is that it's a lifted truck that someone put time and effort into, it's black in color, and the taillights are rectangular and small," you say after you explain what you saw. "I also think he may have targeted these women. They have to be connected."
"That takes thrill kill off the table."
"Why, because the murders were planned in advance?" Quinn asks.
"Yeah, this type of stalking behavior indicates a personal motive. There's a reason he chose these victims. He knows their work schedules, jogging routes, and drive patterns. That would explain how he knew where to strike."
"It explains Maria. She was on a run, but he couldn't have known Shannon's car was gonna break down out there."
"Did you look at her car?"
"The guys at the impound lot said the water pump blew. They said it's a common enough problem."
"We should look at it. I might be able to get something off it," you say.
"Why don't you and Rossi head over there, and let me know what you find out," Hotch says.
You and Rossi head over to the impound lot to see Shannon's car. There isn't a lot of damage to it externally since the unsub didn't hit it. However, the deeper they went, the more they found the problem of why it stopped. No one else can see this, but you see two legs sticking out from underneath the car. The legs have the same energy as the energy you saw at her crime scene.
The unsub tampered with her car which is why he knew it would stop in that location.
"Can you tell us what the problem is?" Rossi asks.
"We figured it was the water pump because it was pretty much melted, but we didn't prepare for this."
The mechanic shows that there is a clear cut in one of the tubes inside the engine.
"This car is pretty new. This wouldn't be normal wear and tear, right?"
"No. The rest of the line is in good condition. Someone punctured it. You can tell from the smooth edge."
"How did they do it?"
"Probably reached a blade right through the grille with a penknife or something like that."
"They wouldn't have even had to pop the hood. If she drove away without water in the radiator, it explains the overheating."
"Could somebody possibly gauge how far she could have traveled with the car in this condition?"
"Someone who knows cars could make an educated guess, sure."
"Thank you." You and Rossi walk away from the mechanic. "The unsub did this to her car. He screwed with it. I saw his legs from underneath his car. He must have gone from the bottom instead of through the grille."
"Sabotage. He's more focused than we thought. He's well-organized and highly motivated."
"By what, though? What do these women have in common? They're all of different ages, appearances, and social class. He's not hunting a specific type. Their only connection is the unsub. There has to have been contact before the attacks."
"We profiled a guy who's afraid of contact. The truck's a shield," Rossi says.
"Maybe the contact's incidental. There's something he perceives in their exchange, something about his perception triggers his fixation. It could be the way she looks at him, something she says, or even something as trivial as what she's wearing."
So far, the team has narrowed down the lifted truck to an older model that's American made. He must have removed all emblems from the car so it'd be harder to track the car to him. One way you can narrow down the list is to send what you have to the DMV, but you're going to waste a lot of paper that way. The truck is only going to get you so far, so you have to build on the profile if you want to catch him.
Some things you know about the unsub are that he's mechanically inclined since he certainly knows his way around an engine, and he's strong enough to pull out dents in his car from each accident if he's fixing the damage to his car. Both victims were killed during office hours, so he must have a flexible work schedule or none at all. If he's stalking someone and getting to know their schedule, he has to put aside a lot of time for that.
Why did he start doing this in the first place? If he doesn't have a job, then losing it could have been the stressor. Eight percent of this state is out of work recently. You need to look for men who are employed as mechanics, work in a body shop, and have criminal records for reckless driving and assault. Two murders in two weeks isn't much of a cooling-off period, so he's not going to wait for another opportunity to present itself.
He's gonna create one, and soon. You just didn't think it'd be this soon.

Queen of Shadows
pairing: nikolai lantsov x shadow summoner!reader
genre: fluff
nikolai masterlist
el's thoughts: i loved writing this!! this pairing owns my heart now! @eloquentree thank you for requesting!!! @maliciousbrekker and @jahayla-parker thank you for helping me work out how to write a powerful reader and help proof read it<3
Tumblr media
“Ah, there she is!”
Shoulders back, head held high. Y/N walked towards where Nikolai, Zoya and Genya stood in front of a large table. Her eyes, empty and cold as she looked over the sea of young faces staring at her with both fear and amazement. She couldn’t blame them of course and she wouldn’t want to. The stories that went around about her were quite terrifying. She used it to her benefit, it instilled a ready fear into people. It was a silent dare to cross her, but a warning at the same time.
Growing up with the Darkling as her father, she was raised to walk and act as if she was a queen. That was the one thing she took with her for the rest of her life. Give people a reason to fear her and carry herself like a royal. She was a royal in her own respect. Queen of shadows, thanks to her father.
It was easy for people to assume that Y/N stayed loyal to her father through everything. Only her closest… Friends knew the struggles she went through during the civil war. No one would ever be able to understand her better than Nikolai.
He stood by her side through everything. He helped her understand that the wrongs of her father didn’t carry onto her. She was her own person, and she had the power to create her own legacy. And he wished, hoped and prayed to every Saint he could think of that she would choose to make her legacy with him by her side.
“What’s she doing here? What could she possibly teach us? She’s a murderer! A heritic!”
Her eyes snapped to a brown eyed boy who stood from his seat, face holding a scowl. She walked forward just enough to show him he had her full attention. “You’re right, I am a murderer.” The room stilled instantly, everyone sat up straighter as a thick silence fell over the room. "The number of people I’ve killed is five times the number of years you’ve been alive. I also fought beside your king in the civil war, and we put my father six feet in the ground.” The glare her eyes held was bone chilling. “So if you want to talk about who’s qualified to help prepare you all… Think about just who you’re talking to.” Her voice was smooth, never changing the dangerous tone once as the words fell from her lips. Sharp enough to cut through the young man’s pride.
Brown Eyes sat down sheepishly, muttering apologies.
~
Once everyone else had left the room, Nikolai turned to his girlfriend and smirked. “We’ve missed you around here.” Y/N smirked back, “Of course you did. I’m quite pleasant to be around.” The blonde laughed, “I’d say the kids would think otherwise.” She scoffed, “Kids… you’re not that much older than them yourself, darling.” Her eyes lit with pride when Nikolai’s cheeks tinted red and he avoided eye contact. She walked to him and grabbed his chin softly, directing his head to look her in the eyes. “Have you really missed me while I was away?” Nikolai nodded silently, “Everday.” His voice stuck in his throat making it sound like a strained whisper.
Y/N’s smirk returned to her lips, she loved the visible effect she had on him. Knowing he did the same to her, but she could control it better and they both knew that.
He was the king of Ravka and she was the queen of shadows. They both couldn’t have been brought up anymore differently, but they were to rule side by side. One day.

Alina and the Darkling’s interactions, pt. 14
(But also a bit of Malina drama and the Darkling’s qualities of a decent leader.)
Siege and Storm- Chapter 3
Tumblr media
Twice a traitor, twice deserter, murderer of her fellow soldiers, staying in a comfy private cabin, fed, allowed to see her beloved fellow deserter... What a life!
Tumblr media
I feel like there’s a step missing. Alina doesn’t know about the Sea Whip and its properties, yet she “figured out” the Darkling wants the amplifier for her. Based only on the assumption he’s insane and what’s more nuts than two amplifiers?! Good thing she’s the MC, so it works...
Remember, children: Even a person prone to jumping to conclusions can occasionally land on the correct one!
It’s madness, I told myself. He wouldn’t dare attempt it. The thought brought me little comfort. He always dared.
One of the Darkling’s best qualities. If there’s a way, he’ll try it.
Tumblr media
Stupid? Yes. Gullible? I’m sure the Darkling would wish so.
“Someone less stubborn? Less selfish? Less hungry for the life of a mouse? Believe me,” he said, “I wish I could.”
The Darkling’s often accused of wanting Alina weak and malleable, but the text shows quite the opposite! He wants confident Queen, only more open-minded and compassionate. He wants her proud and powerful, but helpful to Ravka and Grisha alike.
A Grisha can have only one ampifier. You told me that yourself.
No, he did not:
“If we have any hope of destroying the Fold, we need the stag’s power.”
“But maybe if I had one to practice with—”
“You know it doesn’t work that way.”
“I do?”
He frowned. “Haven’t you been reading your theory?”
The Darkling lets Alina draw a conclusion, but he doesn’t say she cannot get an amplifer, because she couldn’t have the Stag otherwise. I can see three possible reasons, all probably true.
a.) There’s no need for her to know about the rest yet.
b.) Alina’s main problem is lack of training, no skill. Amplifier for practice would only increase that power she cannot control.
c.) Why waste perfectly good amplifier on someone, who’s getting another?
I don’t understand why is the Darkling explaining anything to Alina. She’s obviously not willing to cooperate, yet he’s still schooling her. Somehow not giving up on her...
Tumblr media
I thought of the books I’d read on Grisha theory.
So, like three?
Alina sounds like a spoiled brat. I want, I want, I want! This is the main character in a world full of wars and suffering. Her tantrum reminds me of a certain evil step sister from a certain Russian fairy tale...
Tumblr media
When we’re there, the irony of the antagonist being the one to set aside his desires to achieve what’s more beneficial for others is also something else...
Tumblr media
Back to insulting the antagonist right in his face... because it’s the most mature reaction to disagreement and the safest way to persuade him not to kill your beloved LI.
You can’t control the Fold. It has to be destroyed.
... I know, because I’ve studied merzost for centuries like half an hour, when YOU were using it in front of me! Strategy for even longer, because that’s in every map maker’s poor, poor orphan’s curriculum!
I love when the Darkling’s rational about Alina’s usefulness.
Tumblr media
Alina once again assumes her precious Malyen’s gonna get hurt, even though the Darkling just told her how much he’d love to do it, but can’t... They’re both treated far better than they should’ve been, yet Alina’s first thought is death and torture. Just like back in the day, when the Darkling dare to ask about her day...
Like a fool.
Alina’s self-criticism's well deserved, but for different reasons than she wants us to believe. She’s not some defenceless victim surrounded by enemies, she’s merely close to facing consequences of her own reckless actions.
fool1/fuːl/
noun: fool; plural noun: fools
1. a person who acts unwisely or imprudently; a silly person.
And there’s nothing silly about her, or about anything she caused so far.
Aleksander’s done with her hysteria, but (un)fortunately possesses inhuman amount of self-control.
Tumblr media
17 y/o voice: It’s a fairy tale. A children’s story. It doesn’t actually exist. I would know. I got out of our tiny village like a year ago...
“Like the stag?”
“... or my sister? Oh, my mother didn’t mention her, when unearthing family dirt? She IS a mermaid, btw...”
I just have to add this thread...
Tumblr media
Let’s make infinitesimal a new effervescent!
Mal glanced at me. I gave an infinitesimal shake of my head.
Totally unexpected, and surely unnoticed by any Corporalki... but a moment later, the Darkling threatens to torture Alina and make Ivan heal her. Does it mean they don’t have any Healers with them? They would be less likely to survive and escape to join their general, if we use the “selfless doctor” stereotype to explain. Less used to combat, probably protecting their patients... Non-warriors are always easiest to kill.
Another proof the Darkling doesn’t enjoy cruelty or torture. He certainly knows when to use it, or threaten to do so, but never with other way at hand. Also, as a decent leader, he won’t have his people do something he’s not willing to do himself.
Tumblr media
How doesn’t anyone find this suspicious? I’d thought Sturmhond has a reputation to uphold. ... and not one of the knight in shining armour!
I also need to link this amazing AU, where Sturmhond has the balls to act like a ruthless pirate.
Tumblr media
The Darkling casually dismisses Sturmhond’s objection, to focus on matter at hand- namely persuading melodramatic couple to cooperate, since neither of them's willing to see the other harmed in any way. There’s no need to cease his actions, because unlike Sturmhond he’s aware they will never get to the torture.
He doesn’t waste time or breath on Sturmhond or his crew. They can be dealt with later, when Malina’s not present. The Darkling doesn’t show or tolerate disunity on the ship in front of the prisoners.
He uses theatrics to stall and unsettle Malyen. I have a suspicion that even the fact he’s touching Alina’s enough to bother the tracker.
Tumblr media
They’re so easy! There’s not even a scratch yet, and Malyen breaks! It’s probably supposed to show how much does Alina matter to him, but heroes should struggle, not cave in as soon as someone pulls out a knife! This way they look incredibly weak and I don’t understand, why should reader root for them.
Tumblr media
I know this is supposed to be Mal putting Alina’s well-being first, but he reads like a spineless coward.
The Darkling’s pretty generous for an insane megalomaniac, isn’t he? A week was Sturmhond’s first suggestion. Is it partly to appease him?
Tumblr media
This is just PATHETIC.
I feel like I’m reading Rosamunde Pilcher, not ‘chosen one’ kind of fantasy. I guess I understand noble silent suffering more than constant screaming of each other’s names.
They DO love their drama....
All previous parts.

so for autism acceptance month I want to remind you that when an autistic person, or ANY disabled/disordered person, asks you for an accommodation, you have a responsibility to use it correctly; and if you misuse it, that's on you.
What I mean is- autistic people struggle with social cues. this is a known fact about autism.
There have been MULTIPLE situations in our life where we said, "hey, we have autism, if we ask you if you're being sarcastic or if something is real or not, BE HONEST. we physically cannot tell."
the other person then, when asked, LIED about if they were using sarcasm or making something up.
We acted, then, assuming they were telling the truth about wether they were being sarcastic.
they got PISSED OFF, yelled at us or cut of friendships, or otherwise had some sort of meltdown because how dare we think that they used our accommodation they way it was spelled out for them to be used.
the worst example i can think of is someone giving a detailed murder plan as a "joke". we couldn't tell if they were joking because they had a monotone voice and sounded really angry. We asked them, and clarified that we seriously needed to know because we could not tell, reminding them of our autism diagnosis. They said they were 100% serious about killing this other person we knew in the method described. We stood up, left, and reported them.
WE LOST AN ENTIRE FUCKING FRIENDGROUP OVER THIS AND HAD A STRANGER TELL US "with all due respect because you're older than me, I would be pissed too, that was an asshole thing to do! you shouldn't have reported them, they could have gone to jail or been expelled from school."
that is ableism. THAT. IS ABLEISM.
we could not have done any better than what we did. there was no fucking universe in which that was our fault.
just because it's obvious to YOU doesn't mean it is to us, because newsflash, WE FUCKING HAVE AUTISM. we are DISABLED.
If you know this and deliberately lie to us when we ask for clarification, or tone tags, or something similar- you do not to get to blame us for what happens after, or laugh at us, or be a dick.
we can't just stop being disabled because it's convenient for you. so either be honest with us when we ask, or don't fucking talk to us at all.

i like picturing like. ed and stede up on the foredeck (or whatever i've never been on a boat who cares) and like. idk some stranger/old acquaintance is menacing izzy down on the main and he's not doing anything about it because he thinks it's against the rules now or whatever.
(and maybe he's said this previously, to the menace, as a pseudo threat like. 'the only reason i haven't killed you already is because my captain wouldn't like his pretty deck to get stained.' or something.)
and ed isn't doing anything about it either just because like. izzy can handle himself, and surely he will do so. and also he's just kind of the type of person who doesn't generally step in on other people's behalf (except for emotional stuff) (unless he's feeling possessive).
and stede isn't doing anything about it either because he's following what he's interpreting as cues from both ed and izzy. (and the rest of the crew isn't doing anything about it either because either they are also following this perceived cue - from ed, izzy, and stede - or else they are aware they couldn't if they tried lmao.)
but then the person goes too far somehow. maybe they hit izzy, or otherwise lay hands on him. maybe they say something that just Crosses The Line. and stede snaps, and just fucking. shoots the guy. just shoots them. no warning shot, nothing, just shoots them from where he is at ed's side like it's nothing because how dare they.
and ed and izzy are shocked for a moment, but then of course they're like okay. hot.
stede says, ":( i missed"
ed says, "no mate you definitely shot them"
stede says, "but i was aiming for their head :("
(and then maybe stede says "oh bollocks, will someone get rid of that before it stains my lovely deck" and izzy smirks at the fucking person who is kasfkls dying at his feet because he told them so.)
and then after a pause ed says, "hang on. is that my gun?"
and stede says, "yes, love."
and ed says, "...did you have that this whole time?"
and stede says, "no, love."
and ed has to Come To The Realization all over again how much he loves and trusts stede (against all odds, after You Know) that he literally didn't even notice stede taking his weapon off of him.
(and also later they seduce izzy, which is much easier to do than any of the three would have assumed. but stede did just murder a guy for being kind of mean, so like. what are they gonna do? not become the sea's most ruthless power throuple? please.)

You know, it wouldn't even occur to me that certain ships might even exist... if authors of fanart like yours (even before your dragonball phase) didn't insist on bringing that fact to my attention by screaming murder at anyone who might dare interpret their stuff in a certain way. And it's exactly that disclaimer that causes me to look closer at the art in question and realize that... oh wow, right, Gohan is really acting like a jealous lover here, huh? Assuming he must be the One Person (1/3)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My condolences about your daddy issues or whatever, but you're the one that's reading weirdly deep into this, dude. I genuinely don't know what kind of 'gotcha' you think you wrote but... damn.
Is this your first day on the internet? People tag and draw blatantly-platonic seeming art that's actually ship art upon closer investigation constantly. Now idc what people do as long as its properly tagged, but it's a different story when my art is involved. Of course my DNIs are to prevent "misunderstandings." I'm not a moron; anyone can pick out supporting evidence for their bias if they look for it, which is exactly the point of saying I don't condone it. It's me going "Hey, these are my boundaries! If you don't respect them, that's shitty of you!"
I can't control how people interpret my art. I know this—but I can sure as hell clear the air about my intent and opinions. So I'll make myself very clear: I don't like my content being seen in a romantic context. Unless I confirm otherwise, it's platonic. Why? Because I fucking say so. If word of god isn't reason enough, that's on you. Your inability to see emotional intimacy between two adults as anything but romantic is not my fault—nor is it my responsibility to overcorrect.
It may shock you that, yes, this is how many families do interact. Not everyone's idea of a "convincingly portrayed" family dynamic is going to be the same. I'm a very sappy person irl and so is my family. It's honestly kind of pathetic that you obviously think my content is too much for a paternal relationship.
Even aside from that though, your arguments are just bad. I mean did you even reread this before you sent it? Sure. "Gohan acts like a jealous lover..." of his preschool-age daughter. Yeah, that's a totally normal take. Really makes you seem like a well-adjusted individual. I don't even know where you got the jealousy thing from since he spends the whole comic actively trying to leave and stop Pan from sticking up for him. Your other points are just conspiratorial; I see no point addressing them.
So yeah, take your final proposition and shove it. Maybe focus on how to "effectively and convincingly portray" whatever content measures up to your standards instead of preaching to me like I shouldn't do the same. I don't owe you jack—especially when you're too much of a coward to talk down to me while hiding behind anon.
And if this is who I think it is (given the timeframe you let slip), get off of that damn high horse already. You're not the patron saint of correct characterization, and your unwarranted criticism doesn't make you look smart. It makes you look like an entitled tool who can't resist hearing your own voice. Quit tearing people's hobby work down because you can't find enough fan content to satisfy your own standards.
I love found family. I love sickeningly sweet """unconvincing""" found family, and if you think that's trite, ooc, or—I guess, romantic—keep it to yourself. You're not going to 'con'crit me out of creating exactly what makes me happy, and this weird victim-blamey diatribe sure as hell isn't either. If anything, you've only convinced me to keep using DNIs.

lol hi again!! again i absolutely love ur writing it makes me very happy hehehe i was wondering if you could do a HC of og michael and/or peepaw myers with an s/o that talks in their sleep!!! whenever i have a sleepover i’m always told i talk a lot when i’m sleeping 💔😅 i’m wondering how he would take it 🤔🤔
MICHAEL MYERS
WHEN HIS S/O TALKS
IN THEIR SLEEP
CONTENT;
og Michael Myers - Peepaw Michael Myers
Tw: Michael. Just- him and his mean ass attitude
A/N: hiiiiii! Thank you so so much for the request. I love when people ask for this type of "every day" things specially if I can use it to bully this stinky stabby man. I love him and I want to fight him at the same time. Anyhow, enjoy^^
OG MICHAEL:
Is there something that doesn't end in you fighting for your life with this man? Probably no, yeah no.
In his defence you kept calling him in your sleep and talking smack at the ungodly hour of 3am
He was still awake but mentally he was resting and you were being mad DISRESPECTFUL
When you said his name the first time he just assumed you were talking to him
He should've notice you weren't since you weren't even looking at him but he is a himbo, an aggressive one but a himbo nonetheless
He snapped his head towards you to listen for what you were saying
And there you were, talking about THE Michael Myers like that
My man was flabbergasted
Then everything you were saying started to make less and less sense and that's when he realised you were sleep talking
That doesn't mean you don't deserve to be punished for your offence
How dares your subconscious, THE AUDACITY OF YOUR SLEEPING BRAIN
he's gonna smack your face with a pillow so hard that it should be considered murder attempt
AND SINCE THIS FUCKIN BITCH THINKS HE'S SO HILARIOUS AS SOON AS YOU WAKE UP HE PRETENDS TO BE ASLEEP
no fucking shame, no remorse no nothing
He chose violence everyday of his life, what makes you think he's not gonna take the same option with you
If you're one of those people who spills your own secrets while sleeping then he's not gonna stop your talking.
If it's something embarrassing he will mess with you by making you think he knows about it
Like doing things that have obviously something to do with your secret but at soon as you ask him about it he acts like he knows nothing
Bro is having the time of his life
If it's something personal or something that is worrying you ecc he's gonna use the information to subtly help you about it
Maybe you're stressed about something so the next day he starts to be surprisingly helpful and less harsh with you
Or if it's someone the problem that someone is not gonna be alive when you wake up
PEEPAW MYERS:
I think that for peepaw to notice you talking in your sleep should be one of those rare nights he comes back after you've gone to sleep
Otherwise he's sleeping too
And guess what guess what
HE TALKS IN HIS SLEEP TOO
Sometimes is something serious other times is just mumbling or saying your name
You two are really out there having whole ass conversations without even knowing
The reason for him to be sleep talking is because when he's around you he doesn't feel that need to be always on edge about everything. He like really relaxes and allows himself to rest properly
That's how much he trusts you
If you catch it don't tell him anything cause he would either stop sleeping, sleep somewhere else or both
If he finds out you sleep talk he will probably stay up to listen what you're saying
Unlike his younger self  peepaw is not necessarily going to be mean to you if you're talking about him
He might find it amusing. The fact that even when you're asleep his in your mind 24/7 is just something that makes him feel really great for some reason
If there's anything you say that has to do with things your worried about or something that is making you restless he might just like hold your hand or hold you close to make you feel better
Next morning he's going to ask you about it. Unlike og mikey, peepaw is not going to be subtle at all and if something is upsetting you he wants to know it
If it's some embarrassing shit you're going to get a lot of amused stares and you could swear you can see a small 🤏🏻 (this small) smirk
You can actually get to know a lot of Michael by listen to what he says while he's asleep
Unfortunately the most serious stuff is like really sad
He be ruining the vibes with his sad old man talk bro
Maybe he talks about loomis, on rare occasions he says something about his sisters
If you don't feel comfortable invading like that his privacy just wake him up
If you do wake him up you can either tell him that he was talking or just find some excuse
If you do tell him he was sleep talking, and you want to prevent him distancing himself, just tell him he was saying something personal and you didn't want to overstep his boundaries
He's gonna appreciate that so so much and he will find a way to show you how much that means to him
If you want to be bad and do crime just listen to it i guess? Obv don't mention any of it or you could end up well…not dead but close

A meditation on chaos and order in popular storytelling
Trouble with contemporary stories about law/order versus chaos: even when writers seek nuance by not positioning law as intrinsic good, they still accept the Christian definition of chaos. It's a bad faith distortion meant to paint law as the only reasonable option.
Chaos, in both its original Greek sense and actuality, doesn't mean "rejection/destruction of order", it refers to the full range of possibilities and potential. Chaos is only "against" the Christian order because that order seeks to choke out all alternatives, to deny possibility and change.
While I'm on the subject, rejection of chaos is inherently transphobic, as it necessarily entails rejecting the possibility, or at least the worth, of becoming something other than what one presently appears to be.
And this is the core: "order", to define itself, must reject chaos. As part of this rejection, order's inventers always try to portray a symmetrical relationship, a duality--but that relationship doesn't exist. Chaos isn't innately opposed to order. It can't be, because order is a possibility, a potential outcome, which means it is an expression of chaos. Namely, order is a form of chaos that rejects all other forms of chaos.
This is why I call order "a very narrow chaos"--at the root, that's all it is. What we call "order" is the chaos of possibilities solid enough to endure for a while.
But if you just come out and say "I want these possibilities to persist because I like them and they work for me", well--it's pretty hard to use that as a foundation for a superiority complex, nor as a justification to trample the possibilities others like. "Order" is a construct invented to ennoble oppression, to paint the erasure of others' desires and potential as important work that upholds the cosmos.
A story accurately depicting the relationship between order and chaos would start with a community of people happily going about their lives, minding their own business, doing what works for them without trying to control anyone else, only for a bunch of armed raving fanatics to stampede in screaming, "How dare you degenerate vermin violate the natural order?! Justice will be swift!" and murder everyone who refuses to do as these invaders command.
Ordermongers need you to believe that "chaos" means "angry psychopaths barging into your life and destroying everything" because otherwise you'd very quickly realize that's what they do. The narrative of order has, from its inception, been a propaganda tool of empire and of fascist regimes.
And your reflex, because this is what most of you have been taught to assume, will be to say, "but total chaos is completely random, everything changes so fast--"
But see, now you're echoing that Christian caricature again. That's. Not. What. Chaos. IS.
Well, it can be--but it doesn't have to! True chaos is the continuous emergence and fostering of potential. Persistence is just as real and solid a form of potential as randomness is. Want to see a perfect chaos? Look at the room you're sitting in as you read this. Perfectly-manifest possibilities.
These misunderstandings are the entire point of the Christian caricature. The whole point is to make you assume that chaos means "scary bad thing that will destroy my reality and kill me," so that even if you don't like law and order, you'll see favoring chaos as equally unappealing.
The obvious example here are all the "morally grey" depictions of the conflict between God and the Devil, where, reliably, both are portrayed as equally asinine... which, in fairness, most Christian depictions make them out to be!
But, see, they're both a very narrow chaos--both "orderly." God does indeed embody Order, in the sense that Order is an invention, a made-up thing central to the Christian religion as a justification for forcing itself upon other people, but it's a fallacy to assume the Devil thus represents Chaos just because he stands against God. In most stories about their conflict, the Devil doesn't hate Order, he just hates God's order. He wants God deposed so he can make everything follow his plans instead, so he can narrow Chaos to express only the things that he likes.
So in the modern "morally grey" version, the "good" option usually ends up being rejecting both of them, which I agree with, so as to pursue one's own possibilities... which, if you've read this far, you already know I'm going to tell you IS CHOOSING YOUR OWN CHAOS.
Buuuuut framing it that way might lead to serious questions about why, if that's what chaos can be, we're so heavily discouraged from pursuing it in our own lives, and that would make it very hard to package milquetoast centrism as "morally grey" instead of just submissive and amiably defeatist.

Honestly congratulations on your patience. I’d say I can’t believe someone thought it was good or in any way even fucking NORMAL to approach you and say “unless you tell me (I will not do the work and bother to look for five seconds on your blog) otherwise with receipts that I personally deem good enough I assume you support genocide”…. Except that. Yknow. That’s just how it goes to be a Jew who dares exist and ask to not get murdered or hatecrimed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

SONIC X YUGIOH FOR SPOOKY DAY
wake up new crossover just dropped
wwwwwwwwwwwwooooo I fucking love Nikki and Sonc. From the manga.
Nikki is in Yuugi's role. Sonic is in Yami's role.
Other characters include but not limited to:
Amy! My beloved, she borrows from her classic design here. Goes to their highschool, got a fucked up relationship with attention, and a messy relationship with her mom and the concept of beauty. Her mom is the pretty teacher from the tenth episode of Yugioh. Season Zero. She and Nikki have been friends for years. They used to date but then realized they were both aro and went back to being friends, although recently they've been sliding into a sorta qpr. In Anzu's role.
Anton. Yes, he's here. Anton is like a lizard also from the manga. He's a bully who wants to date Amy himself there, but here he's a badnatured punk who always rebels against authority. Anton and Nikki did a group project once, where Nikki dropped a important piece of their assignment so it broke, and then Anton got them in trouble by arguing with their teacher. Now Anton thinks Nikki did it on purpose cuz he's a goody two shoes who doesn't like Anton, and Anton wants him to toughen up and confront people directly. Nikki fundamentally doesn't get Anton and how he works and is scared of him, and they dislike each other as a result. To be clear, Anton is still in the wrong here, but it's not out and out bullying like in the anime. Anton's just looming ominously and at worst pushing Nikki back a few steps. Anton is in the role of Jonouchi/Joey Wheeler.
Metal! Trans metal trans metal. send post. She's a transfer student who got here last month. Metal is in the combined roles of Honda and Miho. She looks up to the school administration and student patrol and is considering trying to find her place there. It is important to me that you know she wears big poofy dresses and bows. When her classmates picture her, it's her standing in a corner staring at everybody (with her autistic murderous eyes). She looks less like Sonic design wise than og Metal Sonic. She considers herself a Robot Hedgehog but not a hedgehog. She like stares ominously at Anton when he's hassling Nikki and maybe puts a hand in front of him to stop him, but doesn't otherwise intervene because she's mostly doing it on principle.
Maria and Shadow are fine! Maria was raised underground w/ Shadow and took over the company when Gerald got shot. They take Kaiba and his brothers place. Maria cut ties with the military and rebranded as entertainment. She built a theme park that's like the only place she can be safely. She always sits in sunlight. Shadow is Maria's little brother and he's completely devoted to her to the point of signing away his autonomy, but Maria wants to give him the world and would never dare to take away his free will like that because it's like her strongest belief. She's trying to push Shadow to more stuff on his own without her. Sonic knows about the irony of playing Shadow Games with Shadow and respects him. He goes "from one shadow to another, huh? Yeah. I get it." They have the millenium rod. Maria would never use it on Shadow but Gerald used it on both of them. Maria uses it on other people and tries to keep that knowledge from Shadow but he knows more than she'd like. Shadow is the one who actually duels. Too risky for Maria, considering all the things that could go wrong, and Shadow was literally built for this kind of thing, but she stills hates it. That's her specialest little guy he should be safe at all times :( Eggman takes the place of Pegasus. He wields the millenium eye (a single eye is a small price to pay for power) and believes strongly in the ideals of intellect and the human mind over nature. He was actually born after Maria, but when he was younger he accidentally threw himself into the Duel Monsters Dimension where time passes quicker. He was missing for like a year and declared dead. When he came back out as an adult he assumed a new identity, and with the instructions for how to summon duel monsters as well as a map to the eye in hand, started up this whole Duel Monsters card game business. He's rich now and able to work on his own projects, but he's stuck managing his monster empire and forced to be reclusive to avoid people looking too closely at his past. He heard of Maria when she built the theme park and was like, "Darn, I can't believe she got there first. Also, it feels strange that I'm older than here now. Back to villainy." He wants to collect the other millenium items to remove the limitations on his power and conquer the earth. Knuckles :) I like him. He takes the role of the Ishtar family. Idk too much about them to be honest, but the scale and guardianship of a sacred duty suits him perfectly. Ok ok. It's time to talk about the reason I came up with this in the first place.
*snapcube dub voice* Nikki the Hedgehog is a character from the Sonic Manga. He's my funny little guy! He's an anxious kid who wishes he were brave and isn't amazing at anything. But his big deal is that whenever him or his friends are in trouble, he transforms into Sonic. Sonic then effortlessly takes care of the issue and turns back into Nikki. Nikki is not aware of this, and he doesn't remember any of it. Here things are a little different.
Nikki is a highschool student who loves reading quietly and playing instruments and solving puzzles. He's friends with Amy, but his other attempts at making friends have always failed and he's kind of lonely. The puzzle he dug up from the corners of his Uncle Chuck's diner has been with him for years and gives him a sense of purpose. He often digs it out and fiddles with the pieces to calm his mind.
One day, he brings it to school with him like he usually does. It's after class has ended for the day, so it's just him, Anton, and the transfer student. He's working on the puzzle while waiting for Amy to meet up with him, when Anton tells him it's a waste of time. This is one of the few things Nikki will even try to stand up to him over (he often wishes he were braver) and they get in an argument. The transfer student walks into the hallway and flags down a teacher, who reprimands them for arguing and threatens them with detention for Anton not adhering to the dress code and Nikki for having a personal item (schools been cracking down on them lately) that distracts other students because it's made of wait, is that gold? Amy arrives and gets the teachers attention by telling him there's a bake sale around the corner and the other staff are hanging out there. The teacher lets them off with a warning and heads out. Anton is annoyed with Metal tattling to the teacher (THAT was her name!) and Metal makes angry beeps back. Amy's mad at Anton for arguing with Yugi in the first place. (basically it's about how they relate to authority and the rules. Nikki never challenges it, Anton always challenges it even when it would be unwise, Metal follows it and believes it to good, Amy works within it. Sonic's whole deal is he challenges it and knows how to get away with it. Having magical power and experience certainly doesn't hurt though.) Some stuff happens, the teacher catches up with them to punish them for before because he wants the puzzle (it looks like it's made of gold and he can sell it.) Anton picks Nikki up and runs away, and tells him that he's responsible for this and he needs to fix it. He adds that it's a good opportunity to learn all rules are bullshit. Nikki goes home and works on the puzzle, mind racing. He needs to have a solution by the time he sees the teacher again. But while he makes progress on the puzzle, enough finish it except for a missing piece (he must have dropped it when Anton picked him up), he only resolves to Do Something. Metal finds the piece and plans to give it back to Nikki. He calls Amy and Anton and asks them to meet him at the school.
Metal is heading to Nikki's desk to drop off the puzzle piece there when she sees three people outside the window... and a looming shadow converging on them. She hops out the window. It's time. The teacher (we'll call him Haruo) is not playing around anymore. He has a fucking knife. Anton fights, receiving cuts to his arms. Metal tries to block Haruo from attacking, but can't bring herself to strike a teacher she respected, especially when the law wouldn't take her side (she's a robot) (plus she still thinks this could be de-escalated). Amy tries to do the reasonable thing and call the police and her mom, but the police are useless and her mom is out of town. Nikki says he'll hand over the puzzle, stopping the fight. Metal presses the last piece into his hands as he walks by her. Nikki stands in front of Haruo, and asks for a few seconds to finish solving it. Haruo denies it, and advances towards Nikki, hands already reaching out, but... Does Nikki...
Really, truly, want to comply with people like Haruo his whole life? Nikki places the last piece. The world turns to golden light. It's Sonic! Everybody clap and cheer for joy. The activation brought him and his focus (Haruo) to a strange distorted version of the school grounds. He may not know much, not even his own name, but he knows that it's time to play a game and he's going to win. So. Neat things about Sonic. Nikki's quills are a light blue, he wears glasses, and he has bangs. Sonic's quills are Adventure dark blue, he does not wear glasses, and he has the Eye of Horus on his forehead. His quills shift from Nikki's color to his like it's just the light that changed, or like they've always been they color but you just didn't notice. The eye of Horus glows when he feels strong negative emotion. Fun fact! Nikki wished for a friend so he wouldn't be lonely, and he wished to be brave and strong to protect people. Sonic is both of those things. Also Sonic here is sooo fun. He's doesn't remember how to play the card game so he's just making it up as he goes. He wins his first Shadow Game by taunting Haruo until Haruo broke the rules. He got his name by boasting he'd beat his opponent (different game) faster than the speed of sound. He's a hero because he breaks the rules to protect people and is always looking for a better way to do things. Sonic at first thinks nothing weird is going on and that blipping in and out of existence with half remembered context is normal. He's like, "Yeah, so these are my friends, I'm playing a card game, and my name is *squints at smudged writing on the back of hand* Nicholas." He gradually figures out that someone else is doing stuff in between those periods while he's aware, and that he's tied to the weird bling around not-his neck, and that neither the person he's possessing or his friends have any idea. Also a lot of this is strangely familiar..... (Nikki has some idea. Nikki says good night to the puzzle and tucks it in every night. Nikki thinks that whatever is happening when there's danger is a good thing that should continue without any input necessary from him. He's like "None of my business! :)" Even though it totally is.) (This doesn't continue for too long, maybe half a season at most in show terms? He does get curios and start wondering what exactly is up.)
Tails! He's the little guy. So teeny. But haha wrong, this Tails wears sunglasses and calls people "wussys" for eating mushrooms! He's primarily Sonic's friend and meets him first- wait wait. it's important that you also know Tails has a motorcyle. or a car? all of this is canon to the manga btw. okay continue. -and thinks Sonic is really cool. He's the first person Sonic can really confide in about his situation, and he does so after Tails is like: so... why are you so different when you're not on stage? and Sonic is forced to go "Very simple, that is actually not me. Easy mistake to make." Tails is a fellow tournament duelist and spends some time playing duels with Sonic, and they both improve off each other. Sonic is glad that he can look into the stands and find someone cheering for him, and Tails is glad to have a cool older duelist who doesn't look down on him and who respects his skill. Btw, Sonic's doing that fucky Yami/Yugi thing where Yami assumes Yugi's name and friendships for his own. They keep hanging out. (Sonic introduces him to the rest of the group, and Tails, the wanderer- ohh my god, galaxy brain moment. In canon, Sonic is the nomad who can't stay in one place, while Tails will always be tied to his labs and his tech and Sonic/the Tornado. In this au, Tails is the cool guy wandering from tournament to tournament, while Sonic is literally and metaphysically tied to Nikki, his friends, and the puzzle. They swapped places.- anyways yeah Tails likes having people to show off for and crash with. The importance of a place that's always safe cannot be overstated.) Tails and Sonic can really let their guard down around the other, and when they call each other brother for the first time they explode the labyrinth they were trapped in.
Okay what other items are there. Uhh. Puzzle, eye, rod, scales, ring, key, and necklace.
Tikal gets the key. She's just chilling with knuckles don't worry about the timeline. Rogue gets the ring because its abilities are perfect for a fortune seeker like her. (Wait does this mean Rogue is gonna get possesed?! NOOO)
Silver and Blaze share the duties of the necklace. I was literally sitting here trying to think of a fortune teller in all of Sonic when I was hit over the head by SILVER YOU DOOFUS
Right so I think that's everybody. Omega will show up in due time- probably with guns blazing. I honestly don't know much about the plot of Yugioh, because I just started watching season 0 of the anime. Yes I've read rewrite fics but there's a lot of stuff in the anime you guys did not fucking tell me about. I like Miho :) I think the teacher from the 10th episode is a jerk who I would not like in real life, but I'm looking at the writers skeptically because it's not a crime to be a beautiful woman and if I were in a similar situation I also would have gotten frustrated with how the people around me treated me. I like the show so far it's a lot of fun. Yugi is three apples tall. They spent all their animation budget on the shadow game. I liked when the worms killed that man. Happy Halloween everybody! I hope you had a good spooky month. (If you liked this, consider following my main blog which is more general, or my side blog which is for my Sonic Prime x Amphibia crossover and will be more likely to contain analysis or writeups like this.)

LONG. ( So under a cut. )
𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃.
( REVELATIONS. CH. 11 )
Saizo: Kotaro of Mokushu...you will answer to me. Kotaro: I answer to no one. Who are you to suggest otherwise? Saizo: I am Saizo the Fifth, servant to the Hoshidan royal family. Kotaro: Saizo...that's familiar. I believe I've murdered others of your pitiful lineage. Saizo: You--! How dare you. My father was an honorable man. Kotaro: Honorable? Maybe. Weak? Definitely. That balding old fool had the audacity to lecture ME! So, naturally...I put an end to his life. Saizo: I knew you were the one responsible for his death. Coward!
( CONQUEST. CH. 17 )
Saizo: A fitting end [said about Kotaro]. Father...you have been avenged. May you rest in peace now.
( &RYOMA ; SUPPORT CONVO. )
( B SUPPORT ) Ryoma: It can't be easy, working in the shadows. Some of your job are ethically dubious. But you discharge your duty without complaint. Saizo: I do what is expected of me, my lord. Ryoma: But the high risk you undertake ought to merit a correspondingly high reward. And right now our army does not have the funds to compensate you properly. I thought this might be cause for some dissatisfaction. Saizo: Never, my lord! These things couldn't be further from my thoughts.
( A SUPPORT ) Ryoma: But it's normal to consider the well-being of my subjects. Especially my retainers. Saizo: You call it normal, but it is not common. The great ninja who have borne the Saizo name pass into legend. Samurai boast that they will die for a truly honorable master, but so too will a ninja. To know ourselves and to serve a master who knows us is our greatest calling. For your part, simply continue to walk the path you have chosen. I find no greater joy than to help you down it from the shadows.
𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐘𝐒𝐈𝐒.
OVERALL, Saizo exhibits very little regard to himself about things outside of his work and his ability to do said work. This is made apparent in the way he hassles Laslow in their support ( although it is not listed in the BACKGROUND. section ) over what Saizo deems the man's incompetency to be able to defend his lord. Otherwise, Saizo's first thought is not himself -- it's his liege, whether or not someone's made some unsavory comment about his liege, is Kaze still alive and kicking out there somewhere, Kagero better not have gotten captured again : those sorts of things. Work-related things. He displays a haughtiness over his own abilities, but only because they relate to his work.
As for his morality and opinion/beliefs on right vs. wrong, his face-off with Kotaro ( the dialogue, specifically ) suggests that he comes from a line of honorable ninja, seeing as he declares that the last Saizo was an honorable man. With this in mind, you could assume he was raised under honorable principles and with a generally conscious upbringing of what was and wasn't considered honorable.
Furthermore, the Conquest quote still occurs during his fight with Kotaro ( who killed his father ), but it's the only version of that quote where Saizo adds, "may you rest in peace now." Saizo didn't see living on in his father's name as something that would give his father peace after death ; he saw killing his father's killer as something that would. That's not . . . really honorable. That's murder, if you look at it realistically. That's not honorable, but, to Saizo, it feels honorable because it's revenge. That doesn't make it honorable, despite how it feels.
This is where the divergence becomes apparent: he believes in honor, but his version of honorable isn't moral.
Then, in his support with Ryoma, his liege makes notice that doing ethically questionable things may not sit well with Saizo, which Saizo dismisses almost instantly with the good ol' "I'm merely doing my duty. If it must be done, consider that I'll have it done." There's no obvious declaration from Saizo's side that what he's doing makes him uncomfortable. It's just what has to be done. Why doesn't it bother him? This is the same guy that thought killing his father's killer would avenge his father. Doing something dubious with good intentions is perfectly fine with Saizo, whereas doing something dubious may be off-putting to others. It doesn't bother him.
WHY this doesn't bother him becomes clear in his A-support with Ryoma: it's a ninja's calling to serve an honorable master, even if Saizo himself has to do dark things. Then, at least his liege is not. That's his entire driving point now: do the dark stuff so Lord Ryoma may rest easy and guilt-free. There's no time to bring morals into play because Saizo doesn't really regard morals, despite how honorable his upbringing was implied to be by the claim that his father was honorable.
Morality, to him, is very gray. It may even be a darker shade of gray. Wrong is right as long as the outcome is right: as long as he's the one hefting the burden and someone else isn't, primarily his liege. But, his support with Kaze ( also not listed ) indicates that he bore the shame of his father's death for quite a while on his own so that Kaze and others didn't. Wrong is right as long as the outcome is right & the people involved on his end are alright. Himself? Not the point.

Black Wedding [Chapter Nine] Play It Right [Albert Wesker]
Tag list: @dixanadu
Warning(s): oral (male), jealousy.
Tumblr media
The shrill and sudden ring of her cell phone woke her. Aria rubbed her tired eyes and turned onto her side, glancing at the alarm clock. Who would be calling her at 1 in the morning?
Perhaps it was the hospital wanting her to come in despite it being her day off. No one else she knew would bother her at such an hour unless it was an emergency.
Aria stretched and quickly got out of bed. Her cell phone was in the kitchen on the charger. As she tottered into the living area, she noticed that Albert was still awake. The door to his office was closed, but the light was on, spilling out onto the tiled floor from the gap. She ignored it and walked over to her phone, glancing down at the unknown number on the screen.
Who was calling her? Aria raised a brow. Despite it being unknown, she thought that she might have seen it somewhere before. But she wasn't sure. She declined the call and walked back into the bedroom; if it was important they'd call again, otherwise, they were irrelevant.
But just as soon as she lay down, her phone rang again.
For fuck's sake.
Aria groaned and got up again, intending to put the phone on silent, but as she emerged from the bedroom, she witnessed Albert pick up her phone and answer it.
"Is this the number of Aria Wesker?" A voice asked, undoubtedly masculine.
Albert raised a brow.
"She isn't available," he asserted.
"But this is her number, right?" The unnamed man asked.
Albert thought about saying no, but he was curious about who the person was, and how Aria knew them.
"Yes. But it's 1 in the morning."
"A friend gave me her number. If she's not available I can call back later. Just tell her that it's Ben," the voice answered.
Ben who?
Albert intended to ask but before he could, Ben ended the call. He tightened his jaw and put Aria's phone back down on the table. Was she keeping secrets from him? She never mentioned Ben before and Albert knew the names of her colleagues; he was not among them. So, how did she know him?
Was Aria having an affair?
Albert squeezed his hand into a fist. Since the argument, he could see that she had distanced herself from him. Her actions were unreasonable, though he had assumed they were warranted because she was too proud to admit that she was overthinking the murders. It was unlike her to lie, but given the situation and the evidence, it was a possible conclusion. Would she dare, though?
The idea made him want to tear his hair out. Yes, he married her because he wanted to maintain his cover as he groomed the Alpha team, but he also admired her intelligence and determination. Aria was a worthy spouse; it took him only a year to condition her and he was proud of how ideal she was.
But now, someone was taking what was his.
The notion was immature but to Albert, it felt like Ben was stealing his toys.
He heard a noise, the sound of footsteps approaching, and turned his narrowed eyes in time to see Aria walk into the living area, staring at him in worry. She was a much better actor than he thought; in a way he was impressed. However, he couldn't contain his irritation.
"Ben called."
Aria raised a brow.
"I don't know someone named Ben."
"He knew you by name," Albert retorted. "Someone gave him your number."
What was he going on about? Aria had never––
Wait! Did he mean Bertolucci? Aria almost groaned. He must have gotten her number from Jill when she didn't get in touch with him. That was three days ago.
How was she meant to explain the current situation to Albert? She'd have to admit that she had been investigating the murders on her own even after he advised her to leave it be.
Perhaps she could defuse the conversation before it got out of control.
"It's not what you think," Aria began.
"What else is it, Aria?" Albert asked lowering his voice.
Warm tears stung her stormy eyes. He had no idea how much his distrust hurt her. However, she reckoned that she deserved it; she did lie to Albert, but not how he thought.
"You're going to be so mad at me," she mentioned.
Albert thought so.
He didn't know what to say, or even what to think. How hard was it for her to admit it? He tightened his jaw and walked back to his study. He needed to calm down; to think for a moment then perhaps sleep. His control had slipped from him and it annoyed him to no end.
But Aria would not let him be.
"Please listen to me," she pleaded, standing in the doorway.
"We'll talk about it later. Go back to bed," Albert ordered as he sat down.
Aria narrowed her eyes. No.
"I'm not going to bed until we fucking settle this."
So what if he was going to be disappointed in her? She was not about to let him think that she was a cheater.
Albert raised a brow. Where did this hostility come from? He was intrigued, otherwise, he'd send her away.
Aria took an uneasy breath.
"Ben is a journalist, Albert. I've never even met him before."
"You're talking to a journalist?" He asked.
What was she thinking? If his employers knew they'd assume he was crossing them. Albert wanted to know why.
"Yes and no," Aria answered. "I ... started looking into the murders on my own time and I heard about a woman who had a theory regarding the disappearances, but the only person who knew how to get into contact with her was Ben. So, I asked someone to contact him for me. But I never gave him my number and I never called him."
Albert narrowed his eyes.
"Who contacted him for you?"
"I can't say," Aria uttered. "But understand that it's not their fault. I never told them the reason I wanted to talk to him."
This was bad. Albert took an uneasy breath. No, perhaps it wasn't. If he could figure out who contacted Ben maybe he could put an end to his snooping. It was apparent that the journalist had something important to tell Aria. Instead of dismissing her theories, perhaps he should go along with them. After all, he was a supportive husband, wasn't he?
He was relieved at least that she wasn't cheating.
Motioning her closer, he watched her hesitantly walk over to him. Albert slid back his seat and allowed her to sit in his lap; her arm slipped around his shoulder and her anxious blue eyes shined with tears as she gauged him.
"I'm not happy that you went behind my back after I advised you not to, but I'm pleased that you're not having an affair with him," he told her.
Aria held back her sobs. She was glad that he believed her.
"I never wanted to lie to you, but it's so hard for me to believe that something corrupt isn't going on in this city. And I swear I haven't been looking into the murders since the argument. I honestly forgot about the journalist until tonight."
"He seems persistent. He'll no doubt try and contact you again," Albert mentioned.
He was right. On his note, he insinuated that it was urgent. Whatever he wanted to tell Aria was far more serious than she had thought.
"I can block the number," she suggested.
"No. The next time he calls you should see what he wants. Perhaps there is truth to your theories. Or perhaps it's nothing," Albert suggested.
Either way, he was going to take care of it.
Aria shook her head in agreement then rested her cheek against Albert's head. It felt nice to be in his arms again. Running her fingers through his hair she hummed.
"I think you're starting to get white hair."
"You stress me out," Albert retorted.
She snorted. Feeling him lean into her hand, Aria grinned; an idea pushed its way into her head.
"Let me take care of it then."
Albert raised a brow. It wasn't hard to figure out what she was hinting around to. It was late, but he was having a hard time sleeping as is; the couch wasn't the most comfortable piece of furniture in the house. He slid his legs further apart and watched her stand, then sink to her knees in front of him.
At least Albert was in his sleepwear. Aria detested his S.T.A.R.S. uniform; washing it and disrobing him when she was in the mood; the man was anal about his clothes – don't get her started on his damn sunglasses. Freeing him from them, she ran her tongue over her lips and leaned forward to kiss the shaft. The warmth of his skin drove her mad. She loved to give his cock gentle kisses before she sank on it; the action wasn't ignored by Albert; it was cute how determined she was to please him, and though nothing felt better than having her warm and wet mouth over his cock, the kisses shot small surges a pleasure through him.
Content with herself, Aria opened her mouth and took the head in, running her tongue over it. The taste of precum made her hum in delight; he tasted so damn good. She sank on him taking as much of his cock as she could, then repeated the action to make it easier for herself. Albert was a bit too big for her mouth, but she did her best to take him in without getting choked up.
Hollowing her cheeks, she began to alternate between fast and slow, even turning her head to take him in at a different angle. Her efforts were rewarded with a low groan.
Albert ran his fingers through her hair, holding the blonde strands back from her face. Aria was stunning; her cheeks were red in exertion and the lewd sloppy noises her mouth was making as she took in his cock drove him to cum, pushing him to thrust his hips.
Cum spurted into her throat. Aria nearly choked in reaction but she continued to suck on him until Albert released her hair. Once she was certain his orgasm had run its course, she eased his cock passed her swollen lips and swallowed.
He tasted divine. Aria hummed and wiped the saliva from her mouth.
"Are you okay?" Albert asked as he tucked himself away. He may have been too rough on her at the end.
Her eyes were gleaming with tears.
"Yeah," Aria answered with a grin.
She was a bit proud of herself. Leaning her cheek against Albert's thigh in exhaustion she sighed.
"It's late. Are you coming to bed?"
"Soon," Albert answered. At least she was allowing him back in the bedroom.
Aria shook her head in understanding and stood with a grunt.
"Don't be too long."
Leaning down to give him a quick kiss on the cheek, she walked towards the door.
"Aria," Albert called to her.
The said woman turned and looked at him with curious eyes.
"If it will put you at ease I'll look more closely into the murders, but I need to know everything you do," he suggested.
Aria widened her eyes. Was he serious?
"I'll show you my notes when you get home tomorrow."
He had no idea how much this meant to her. She couldn't contain her gratitude.
"Thank you."
Albert grinned and watched her leave the room before he retrieved his phone from its charger. In a new message, he contacted William Birkin.
There's a rat.
Once the message was sent, he deleted it from his phone and returned it to the charger. He'd worry about the reply in the morning. Albert stood and turned the light off to his study, going into the bedroom for a short but comfortable rest.
Tumblr media
Albert was right about Ben; around noon the next day, he called back.
Aria was resting on the couch watching a rerun episode of the "X-Files" when her phone rang. She considered ignoring it, but thinking that it might be important she got up and walked into the kitchen, recognizing the number as the one Ben had called her from the previous night.
Accepting the call, she rested the device against her ear and greeted the man.
"Aria, right? I'm glad I finally got in contact with you," Ben mentioned.
"I apologize," Aria stated. "I meant to call you, but things came up."
She opted not the mention the exact reason.
"It's fine. I was concerned that something had happened," Ben retorted.
Aria raised a brow. What did he mean?
"Work hours can sometimes be a pain."
"I imagine," Ben replied with a laugh. "Are you free to talk?"
She reckoned so. Albert told her to see what he wanted.
"To be honest, I heard you were familiar with a reporter name Alyssa. I wanted to ask her a few questions regarding a column she was working on," Aria explained.
"You must be referring to Alyssa Ashcroft," Ben clarified with a hum. "Yeah, she and I have met. The last investigation she was looking into was about her friend; he went missing in the Arklay Mountains in 1993."
So, Joseph, the Funeral Director's son was right. Aria took an uneasy breath.
"I haven't been able to look much into it, but the reason I wanted to speak with her is that our situations have similar elements."
"How so?" Ben asked in curiosity.
Aria wasn't sure that she should disclose all her information, but perhaps he knew could find out something that she couldn't.
"I believe that not all of the murders are animal related, and they've been happening for 5 years now with a brief cool-off period. The earliest victim was in 1993 and then on May 20th a body was found on the outskirts of Raccoon City," she explained.
Ben hummed. Excusing himself a moment he sat the phone down. In the meantime, Aria retrieved a bottle of water from the fridge.
"Sorry about that," Ben uttered. "I wanted to write this all down."
She understood.
"How many victims have appeared in Raccoon City?" Ben asked.
"Four to my knowledge," Aria answered. "The RPD keep ruling their deaths as wild dog attacks but even after extensive searches in the mountains they've never been able to locate the animals responsible."
Ben hummed.
"That's strange."
Aria agreed.
"Not to mention each body that was found was later cremated under the guise that their families have not or won't claim them from the morgue."
"And your source?" Ben questioned. He wasn't being rude; he was just curious.
Aria sighed.
"There isn't one. The 3rd victim lived a street over from me. When he was brought in - DOA - I was working; I left a message with his son but the next day the Hospital Director sent his body to be cremated. And the number to get in contact with his son was erased from his medical file."
"It sounds like the hospital and maybe even the police department is covering something criminal up," Ben mentioned.
Aria widened her eyes. She suspected Ethan, but did Irons have something to do with the cover-up? How many others were involved?
"I don't understand why someone would want to cover up so many murders. What reason would they have for doing it?"
"I think they're protecting someone," Ben mentioned. "You see, Alyssa suspected the hospital in the Arklay Mountains was being bribed by a pharmaceutical company into illegally testing drugs on its patients, but she has no memory of what happened during her investigation, other than her friend disappearing. She never mentioned a name to me but the only company in the city that has the power and money to do such a thing is Umbrella Pharmaceuticals."
Was he insinuating that the city was covering for Umbrella? Aria chewed on her bottom lip. This was bad.
"Could Umbrella be testing on humans?" Aria asked.
"I'm not for certain, but I have a hunch they are," Ben answered. "I'm going to need time to investigate some more though. And the soonest I can come to Raccoon City is June."
Aria was at odds. She wanted to look more into the company but she also wasn't sure she should. Taking a deep breath she leaned against the fridge.
"I'll toe the line until you get here."
"Be safe and I'll contact you soon," Ben recommended. "You have no idea how much you've helped me."
He said farewell to Aria and then ended the call. She sat her phone down on the counter and took an uneasy breath. What was going on in Raccoon City?
Hearing her phone ring go off, she looked down at the screen to see that Albert had sent her a text message.
An old friend came to visit and wanted to take me out for a drink. Don't wait up.
Aria frowned and quickly sent a reply.
Have fun.
If only she could say the same.

Information
Uh- well as the description says, my little sideblog here is for mostly yandere Genshin blurbs and a few requests-
I already have two writing blogs (1 main + 1 side) so I made this just to keep things organized- otherwise everything would be a mess-
Basic DNI criteria (I'm assuming people know the basic simple things), I'm not too strict on people interacting with me as long as they aren't weird or just rude- note: I am a minor
Masterlist
About Me:
I'll just go by Seriko on this blog- cuz I don't want anyone from my other blogs to find me help-
Minor - 15
Japanese + American-Canadian (1/2, 1/4, 1/4)
Pan- gender idk just whatever ig
INTJ/ENTJ (I was like 52% I and 48% E so I like to say ANTJ for ambivert cuz I have traits for both help-)
ADHD
My favourite region is Inazuma- a little obv ngl
I don't play Genshin anymore due to storage + idk just not into the game and more into the characters (I played from 1.0 - 3.0)
My favourite characters rn are: Childe, Scaramouche (No I don't call him Wanderer), Itto, Ayato, and Yunjin. (Bold = main)
The biggest fucking nerd for classical music and composers
I WILL SHITPOST + POST ABOUT RANDOM THINGS
About My Writing:
Mostly Yandere writer- just cuz I'm good at it than anything else
No smexy time bcs I'm gonna get cancelled if I even tried- so yeah no not happening.
I'm not one to write long stories or pieces in general- just because my organization can get shitty- really shitty. I try to keep it at headcanons, blurbs, and longer pieces are like 1k-3k depending on the matter. If I know the plot isn't bad I could probably write more honestly.
My writing does have topics like manipulation, blood, murder and you know- the things you would perhaps see in anything yandere related. If you don't like this then please take your leave because I do try to ensure I put warnings down for everything.
Unless specifically requested for male or female MC I keep my MC genderneutral-
I'll take like 3 requests at a time- since as you know, I have 2 other blogs and I have like...25 requests in total on my main. So I think you can understand the low number. That being said, it might take me a while- depending on how busy I am on my main and my life.
A few guidelines in case someone requests something:
Please put detail if you can- it makes the writing process faster and makes my planning easier, and more well-defined.
This isn't needed, but just so I have a better idea- put like a horror rating of 1-10. On my main ppl have asked me to go heavier on the horror and I'm not sure how far I should go- so just cuz. Yes, it is absolutely ok to put a 1.
For characters coded children will only be written platonically (Ex. Qiqi, Diona)- this doesn't include the teens (Ex. Razor, Xiangling)
I've like barely touched Sumeru lore surprisingly and haven't watched gameplay of the main quests so- I need to catch up really badly. That being said, any Sumeru characters I will research heavily before I dare write for them.
Put either romantic or platonic on your requests please- otherwise I will hold myself back on the romantic and barely write anything remotely romantic- (my main has caused me a lot of weird habits help-)
This isn't the biggest thing- but if you want to specify fic, headcanons, blurb, please do so!
Extra:
If you want to talk to a random writer then go ahead- I'm an avid chatterbox!
Brainrot is brainrot. Give me or I will choke it out of you /j
I love mutuals- so if you wanna be a mutual sure- please do interact with me a few times before tho just so we aren't complete strangers-

Tumblr media
Alrighty clownies, lets have a discussion! We are going to talk about my blog a little bit just in case there is any confusion in terms of interactions with my portrayal. Please take a moment to read.
Tumblr media
First and foremost, I do have a carrd that’s got my rules, about and a link to my arcs are located at the bottom of his about page. I also have the links to my arcs on my pinned post on my profile for your convenience.  To be blunt, I can tell if you haven’t read my rules, arcs and my about pages. Although I am very tied to a canon portrayal, I do have important information noted in all three places that explain to you how my Arthur functions whether it’s during the Joker 2019 timeline or after.
I have also just linked them on this post right here on the first paragraph and I highly suggest you go give them a read if you haven’t already as I will not hesitate to drop threads the second I’m made aware you have not acknowledged any key points to my portrayal. It’s rude and disrespectful: I take the time to read yours, the least you can do is read mine.  After the movies timeline is currently and will remain entirely headcanon based. I am aware that they are making a second ( what i dare call ) movie ( musical...wtf ) : though there is not a single thing I like about the sounds of the future production thus for my blog will have absolutely nothing to do with it. That’s for a tangent another day: the important thing is that you read the information I provide to you so that you know what my portrayal is all about.
Tumblr media
Important Notes ( straight from my rules & about page ) : — I will not water down or filter Arthur Fleck as I don’t want to take away from his canon character.
—  Do not try to change Arthur’s canon. The events of the movie are crucial for his character development and unless heavily plotted otherwise ( and I mean HEAVILY plotted ) .
— Do not expect me to or try to sway me to write Arthur as any other variation of Joker. He is Arthur Fleck. If you have any question on what he may or may not do, please ask me. Never assume!
— There will never be a time when I would ever write rape, sexual assault, dubcon, incest, racism or pedophilia on this blog. If you write these things, see yourself to the door.
—  Arthur will never be abusive.
—  Arthur's personality will never be watered down, filtered or altered for a ship. He continue to still have suicidal tendencies, thoughts and actions. Being in a relationship will not magically cure Arthur of his mental illnesses.
Tumblr media
I would like to elaborate a bit about my portrayal of Joker. While there are many variations of Joker: I write Arthur Fleck and Arthur Fleck only.  He is no where near like the other Jokers. He is mentally ill, but everything he does is with a great purpose. He doesn’t kill ‘for funsies’.
There are no mass murders, massive explosions, bank heists or any of that off the wall stuff. He does not have ‘goons’ : he does have followers that he may rarely use to his advantage but he prefers to work solo.  There is also no vats of acid: we literally saw the build up to him becoming Joker in the movie. There will also never be any of that clique abusive Harley & Joker content on this blog either: he treats ALL of his partners with respect and dignity. His kill count by the time he is put into Arkham Asylum at the end of the movie is 6 people. His victims are the three wallstreet guys, his mother Penny Fleck, Murray Franklin and the first therapist he’s assigned in Arkham Asylum. I headcanon in his Asylum arc that during his first escape from Arkham asylum, he killed people to get out of the  Asylum. Though I did not specify the amount in the arc, I’d say it was most likely anywhere between 8-10 maximum. The only reason this happened is one: to ensure his freedom and two: he is heavily influenced by Jonathan Crane’s fear toxins. He is not in his regular mind. After his escape, he does continue to kill those who betray, hurt or slander him. In his P U N C H L I N E ! arc, he does kill the owner of a night club ( a truly horrible man : it’s all written out in plain text in the arc  ) and takes over the club.  He doesn’t murder people he deems innocent or people who have generally have nothing to do with him in any capacity nor does he go around popping heads on the streets just because he’s got a gun in his hand. This isn’t grand theft auto. At this point, we can lose track of his kill count but please do not assume that he’s just going around blasting everything that moves like he’s playing call of duty. That is just not how my Arthur works.
I’d much appreciate it if you need clarification: please, come and ask me if you’re unsure because the quickest way to peeve me is by assuming things that Arthur would simply never do.

CNN is stupid but not for Republican reasons
Nothing nor nobody is above criticism. I have to say that at the start because any time people criticism an entity that Republicans are critical of in bad faith, defenders of that entity assume you are sided with Republicans, or are arguing in just as bad faith. There is such a thing as toxic positive and bad faith defense from criticism, and that's what's been happening with CNN the past few days.
The first thing should be obvious here - no news network or outlet should be hosting anyone's rallies or events. Going there to cover it, that's one thing. Providing the venue and filling it with an audience however is not journalism - that's active endorsement and participation.
Anderson Cooper went on the air like a douchebag to accuse everyone of having a short memory, or otherwise not caring or being aware of what Trump and his gaggle of dipshits are up to. My dude, we fucking know. Don't you dare patronize us. You don't have to platform the idiot, just report on what he says if he does it on his own time. And even then, get better about fact checking.
That's actually something every news network needs to get better about. The idea of being unbiased in news reporting doesn't mean you let people off the hook all the time when they say whatever they want. It means you let them say things, and if there is evidence and citations to counter what they claim, you fact check them on the spot. Some people would argue that's combative or hostile, but... yeah? Journalists are not supposed to be friends of politicians or political parties.
Cooper and the CEO of CNN are also extremely douchey for saying that people are staying in their echo chambers or whatever by not listening to Trump, and that we all need to hear the awful things so that we're informed voters or some such shit. Aside from the fact that we know, and Trump is a predictable idiot so we don't have to be plugged into what he's saying 24/7 to wager pretty safe bets on what his positions are on anything, how about a new tactic to motivate people to vote:
POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT
How about highlighting some politicians and the good they've done? Up and comers, people the youth are into?
Oh sorry that would require the news industry - and yes it is an industry - to come out of ITS echo chamber / bubble of centrism. They're comfortable accusing us of that, but far be it for them to do anything other than chase the money.
And y'know, of the idea that people 'need' to listen to the opposition, that only really means anything if the opposition is saying anything of merit. Republicans going on about who they want to openly murder and expel from the country because of financial status or color of skin, that isn't of merit. It's just authoritarian bullshit.
Republicans criticize news media for really stupid things and we should always dunk on them for that. But that doesn't mean news media like CNN isn't doing things that aren't worth calling out and criticizing.
What's funny is, CNN probably thinks they've ingratiated themselves to Trump, but that guy doesn't appreciate shit and is probably already back to calling them names and trying to bilk them of money.

I didn’t say 1 for every 10 serial killers. I said weird and evil shit. But I’m sure you’re right. Majority of rapists and serial killers and murderers in general are actually women who dress up as men so that people can blame men for said crimes. Men would never dare do these things and if they do, I’m sure it’s a small percentage of perpetrators. Women are far more violent than men and we just makeup stories about how women in certain counties get abused and killed for asking for rights that men won’t give them. Because it’s insane to even assume that humans should even have to get rights from other humans instead of just being born with them. It’s all made up. It’s the matriarchy trying to destroy the image of men.
Wow, you tried really hard here, huh?
Acknowledging women actually do these things, and the likelihood it’s significantly more often than you will EVER accept, is not saying women do all of it. Let alone that women are “dressing up as men so society blames men for these crimes.”
There ARE men who do them, but rapists are tiny portion of the population, as are serial killers (most are repeat offenders, which is a given with serial killers otherwise they wouldn’t be serial killers, and should be blatantly fucking obvious with rapists, but I guess not), even if we factor in the women who are these things.
But I do LOVE how you took “society doesn’t even acknowledge women do these things, and thus official statistics are unreliable to gauge an accurate number of the difference between who commits more of these crimes” to mean “it’s all some massive conspiracy, blah blah matriarchy blah blah *insert mocking intended to make opponent seem like a crazy sexist suffering delusions here*.” Sorry to say, but I’m not a feminist. I don’t make up some big powerful entity to act as the big bad so people don’t think I’m just a sexist cunt.
It really quite telling tho. Anything to avoid acknowledging the existence of the pussy pass and that women are human beings too, right?
