He was officially out of breath. His lungs were screaming and while it wasn't the longest battle he had ever encountered, it was still a contender for one of the hardest.
How did she even do that? Lock him in a chamber of water? He thought for a second that she would kill him. She easily could have and he assumed that she might have. There was a flicker of something in her eye when she released him and he wasn't sure if he should be thankful or not.
Usually you don't stay and talk with the enemy. Usually one of you is dead or you walk away. Not this time. Instead of running or hurting her further, he had saved her. She slipped off of the rooftop and for some reason, he couldn't let her die. It wasn't in his moral code to kill someone and even thought this guild was trying to do that to his members, he didn't think it was her idea. He knew what it was like to be a pawn in someones game.
Her dark blue hair that was once curled perfectly into big ringlets had now started to loosen. She looked paler when she first showed up on the roof but now? Now she looked more human. She seemed like something just happened and he couldn't place it. He was always a mess after a good fight but she sat perfectly still and looked...rejuvenated.
"So what now?" Gray asked.
He thought she was like a deer. Her eyes were wide when he spoke and her head turned sharply towards him. It was as if no one had ever spoken to her before.
"What do you mean?" She questioned.
She felt weird staring at this man. What was weirder was the sky above them. A beautiful cyan that she had never seen before. She almost started to cry but held those tears back. She had just gotten the sky, she would not let it darken.
"Where are you going to go after this?"
The question confused her. She was a Phantom Lord member. She was S Class wizard in the most frighting guild. Where else would she go besides there? Deep down, she didn't want to return. She had failed to kill a member but how could she? Somehow kindness leaked from his pores even as he was trapped in her spell. She wouldn't remove that light from the world. She couldn't.
She wanted to say that she was going back home where she belonged. Did she belong? Did she really want to return to a place that didn't care about her well being. They cared that she was strong. They cared that her magic could frighten anyone. But thats all she was. A weapon of destruction.
She looked out towards the fields. Flowers grew within the sea of green grass. Oh how she wondered how they smelled. The feeling of the soft petals. Its been a long time since she had seen a flower not be drowned by her presence.
While she stared at the field, she thought about what he had said during battle. That he would fight to the death to save a member of Fairy Tail. It hurt her. She knew that no one would do that for her. That if she were to die, not one member would bat an eye. No flowers would be at her grave.
She wasn't even sure if she would have a tombstone.
Juvia Lockser. The one no one knows. The rain woman, she is as forgetful as a raindrop. One hit of the pavement, and then that was it.
Phantom Lord didn't care for funerals. They didn't care for much in general.
She wondered if she was someone else, maybe she would receive flowers on her deathbed. Could she ever live in a world where her death meant something? Could someone ever love her enough to shed tears for her permeant absence?
Where are you going to go from here?
That is what he had asked and he was still waiting for her answer.
The clouds had left and she wanted to stay here forever and gaze at a sight she had missed. Oh how the sun felt against her skin! This is where she wanted to go.
She wanted the sunlight on her forever. She wanted to see the flowers bloom and the snow melt. Those dark clouds had cleared something up in her.
Perhaps maybe, just maybe, she could find a home.
Home.
The word felt foreign in her mind but she liked it. She wanted to be wanted and to be loved and remembered. She didn't need a legacy. She didn't need to be the rain woman. She just wanted to be-
"Juvia?"
Her head snapped to his.
He said her name. It sounded like heaven. The way he said it, it was almost like she had forgotten her own name. She couldn't remember a time that her name sounded genuine from another person. There was so much good surrounding him, she almost couldn't believe it.
"Yes?" Her voice almost cracked.
"I asked where you were going to go after this? You can't possibly think your guild is good?" He said sternly.
He was right. This beautiful stranger was right. He had shown a kindness she had never found before so simply. She wanted that. She wanted to be kind. He had saved her. A man from an enemy guild saw something in her and decided she had a life worth living.
A life she should treasure.
If the sky could be clear and hopefully, then she could be too.
Little did she know, he thought that too. Gray knew she was stronger. Much stronger than she let on. Right now all he saw was a fragile woman. Someone who needed to be healed. He knew what it was like to feel hopeless and lost. He was lucky he found people before the darkness corrupted her. Most would think that she was off in the deep end. Too lost to be saved. Not him.
Even in the height of their battle, he could tell she was a gentle soul. Someone who needed a light to guide them, even if it couldn't be him. He wanted to scream at her and tell her to leave that guild. To have her run into Fairy Tail's arms and to never look back. Maybe she would. Maybe she could find a place that treated her better.
No person should look content falling to their death. There was no fear in her eyes and it almost broke him. It wasn't his place to tell her things, just question if she was alright. He didn't know her, but he knew she needed something better. Somewhere to thrive.
When they weren't fighting, she looked delicate and soft. He wouldn't place her as a dark wizard, not a chance. She was a good person, he could sense it.
"No. Juvia does not believe it is good. Juvia is tired of being seen as a monster. She shall find a new home." She stood and dusted off her coat. She began to walk away. "Thank you Gray. to just for saving Juvia's life, but saving Juvia's future as well."
"Is there a chance I'll see you again? Where will you look for your home?" He didn't want her to leave oddly.
"Hopefully." She smiled. "Just like the rain, Juvia will go where ever the wind blows. Maybe one day she will find her way back to you."
"I wish you the best." He waved at her and watched her walk away until she was nothing but a memory.

First date
Happy Gruvia day 2022! 🤍
A/N: I was supposed to post this during  Gruvia week but never did so this has been in my drafts for five months until I decided to finish this. I haven’t written in a year so this is super messy but I still hope you like it.
This fic is inspired by @annluvazzelvazzel ‘s art 🥰
___
Gray looked at the park clock when he arrived at the meeting spot. He was right on time and surprised him but what surprised him even more was that there was water mage in sight. She was always on time. By ten minutes, atleast, so this made him worry.
He was pacing back and forth as uneasy thoughts took over.
Was she okay? Was she hurt? Did she regret going on the date with him? Did she realise that… she didn’t love him anymore?
‘’Gray-Samaaa!’’ Thank goodness a voice, a very familiar voice made him snap out of his terrible thoughts.
As he looked in the direction the voice came from, he saw Juvia. She was running as fast as she could towards him.  She was wearing black boots that came all the way up to her thighs, a black mini skirt with a pink ish turtleneck and to top it off, on her head she wore a black beret. Gray was taken aback by her outfit, seeing it be the complete opposite of what she usually wore but it didn’t make her any less beautiful. It suited her.
‘’Juvia’s so sorry she’s late!’’ She held her hands on her knees as she was breathing heavily from all the running.
‘’That’s okay’’ Gray started ‘’By the way you… you look beautiful’’ He avoided eye contact as that took all of his courage to compliment her.
‘’Really?! Oh Gray-Sama~’’ Juvia attacked him with a hug, making his cheeks turn bright red.
‘’Juvia wasn’t sure if Gray-Sama would like her outfit because it’s so different than usual but that makes her so happy! Thank you! And Gray-Sama  looks very handsome’’ She complimented him back, flashing him the brightest smile.
‘’T-thanks’’ Gray thanked her as they both let go of the embrace. ‘’Anyway…shall we?’’ He looked at her this time, with a little smile and held out his hand for her to take.
‘’Yes, we shall’’ She placed her hand in his and they walked together  to begin their first date.
A very special day that would never be forgotten.

Newest GrUvia Drabble - Love Online <3
See it over on FF.net as well where you can read some of more other drabbles & fanfics!
Summary: (Small drabble) AU Gruvia set in the real world / gamers online.
Enjoy! Love KC xx
Can you fall in love with someone you've met online?
As she made her way nervously down the street, she couldn’t believe she was actually doing this and couldn’t believe it was actually happening. Butterflies consumed her whole body, giving her a buzzed feeling and honestly she felt like she was visibly shaking.
For the first time ever, Juvia Lockser was going to meet Gray Fullbuster and god did her heart cartwheel at the very thought.
But how did she even end up here in the first place?
Let’s take a look back…
Juvia is an online gamer and streamer, playing under the username AmeOnna. When she first crossed paths with the Fairy Tail league, it was in a friendly online competition where her league Phantom Lord was put against Fairy Tail. But it hardly felt like a competition to her, she really felt like she was playing with friends. Unfortunately, her league lost and everything went back to the way it was.
Until Lucy reached out to her. A few members had swapped contact details for future collabs and now Lucy was seeing if she was free to join theirs Among Us lobby. They were looking for a few more friends to join and Lucy had thought of her. Honestly, Juvia had felt guilty and she didn’t feel like she made the best impression on Lucy, but here she was asking her to join in.
She joined the lobby and she honestly forgot how friendly everyone was. She was initially met with ruckus from the usual antics of Natsu and Gray but everyone said hey and made her feel welcome.
And when Gray said hey, she felt her whole body shiver. Why was his goddamn voice so silky? When they had first spoken online in the competition, his voice stood out to her compared to the rest, and when she did her research to find out who was who, her heart stopped when she found Gray’s profile. The attraction she felt when nothing she was prepared for. She had just come out of a shitty relationship but when she saw how Gray looked and how he made her feel, even over online chatting, she knew she would never be the same.
And never the same she was.
The invites kept coming and coming and she interacted more and more with the Fairy Tail lot. Mostly in the Among Us lobby, sometimes doing smaller fun games with just the girls, sometimes teaming up with Natsu, Gray, and Elfman in shooter games, and just generally texting everyone here and there.
It was strange being the only anonymous player as Fairy Tail were full on cam gamers and were very well known but that didn’t seem to bother them at all.
Then along came the perfect opportunity, they were a person short on the Among Us lobby and Juvia knew just who to invite. Gajeel! It was risky but she was honestly surprised how well he melded in with the guys and how he would pick on the girls during the interrogation breaks in the games, calling them bunny girl and shrimp but they never took anything too seriously. It suddenly started to become a thing, that as they called themselves team Natsu, would usually team up with Juvia and Gajeel.
She didn’t mean to be so adoring of Gray over the game, but she just couldn’t help it and it wasn’t long until the group and their chats clicked on and then the memes started coming. Some were funny, some were mean but throughout it all, Gray didn’t really seem to be taking too much notice. He’d bite back at his friends and chat and always say the same thing ‘we’re just friends'.
And Juvia was ok with that. A little let down, but there seemed no harm in her pining for him with it going nowhere. And it made for good banter during games.
But as time went on, Gray and Juvia got closer and closer, finding themselves messaging each other often, usually starting with planning games together and then carrying on to general chit chat. They realised they had mutual friends, Lyon and Meredy, and would do small group games with the 4 of them which pushed the ‘dating’ comments and memes even more.
One time while generally texting, Juvia asked Gray how he found all the comments and hoped they didn’t bother him too much. He came back with his usual blunt reply that he didn’t really care either way. But then he asked how she found them. Juvia took a good while to think of a reply and in the end, was just completely honest and said she didn’t mind them at all and actually kind of liked them. Unfortunately, Juvia didn't get a response after either. Maybe she had scared him off, maybe she made him realise that all her pining and love comments weren’t as much of a joke as he thought. But she never got to find out, as the day after he just texted her again about the usual schedule.
It had been about a year of them all playing together, with the Among Us game being at its peak and honestly doing wonders for all their gaming careers. During this time, Juvia and Gajeel decided to move leagues and join Fairy Tail. Phantom Lord had all started to go separate ways and they really needed to join a league to secure their gaming futures. This was big news and Juvia got to watch Gajeel sporting the new Fairy Tail hoodies and featured on their website. He even did an interview about joining them and it got Juvia wondering. Was it time for her to stop being anonymous?
She had been thinking about it for a while, how more connected the chat and audience seem to be with an on-cam gamer. How they could collaborate online and in person. How they could meet out and about. Maybe it was time Juvia thought.
She and Gajeel lived a little further out the city than the Fairy Tail lot, which meant meeting up whether she wanted to or not, wasn’t really an opinion. However, it seemed Gajeel and Levy seemed to be willing to make the journey to see each other, as every other weekend Gajeel would be gone or Levy would appear. Juvia found it really sweet how well Gajeel and Levy got on and how it was obviously progressing into something much more.
Levy was actually the first person to see Juvia in person. It was inevitable that they didn’t meet soon, due to her interaction with Gajeel, who was not only Juvia’s friend but roommate.
However it seemed Levy had mentioned to the Fairy Tail lot how much Juvia would love to meet them all, but just didn’t know when best to as it was the next topic of conversation when Juvia next went on discord with them all.
It was Lucy that actually brought it up and said they should plan to all meet and when she was next free. Juvia just said she would be happy to see them whenever and was free anytime round their usual gaming schedule.
What she didn’t expect was Gray to also join in and say it would be good to meet her and she most definitely didn’t expect him to then message her later  to see if she was free tomorrow.
No group message or mention on discord, which meant he was asking to see her very much alone and oh boy if she didn’t freak out.
It also meant that she didn’t have time to panic as she had to prepare to see the boy of her dreams (that was clueless to this) in less than 24 hours. Oh Jesus!
And now a very jelly-legged Juvia was walking across the Broadway to a small café spot Gray had suggested. She was following her maps on her phone and it took her to the end of the walkway and just round the corner to a slightly secluded spot. As she put her phone down and followed the path around, it was there she spotted a handsome dark haired guy, dressed casually in a white tee and dark jeans, waiting outside.
Juvia felt her brain stop at the sight for a second and suddenly the butterflies decided to up the tempo as she approached him.
Gray was looking down at his phone as she made her way over. She stopped a small distance away from him and said a shy ‘hi’. Gray just about heard and glanced up to spot where Juvia stood. They looked at each other for a second until it clicked with Juvia that he had no idea who to expect. ‘I’m Juvia.. Anemone”  she said with a laugh, realising her mistake.
His eyes widened at the realisation and a smirk came along with it. ‘Hey, I’m Gray’.
‘Nice to meet you’ she replied.
Gray motioned to the door and said ‘Wanna go inside’?
They sat just the two of them, tucked in a corner with a dim lamp accompanying them. The place was small but cosy, and freshly furnished with wooden and metal aesthetics.
They put in their drink orders and they arrived quickly after.
Juvia was stirring her drink, mixing the rose syrup into her fizzy drink. Now they had got initial introductions out the way and were more comfortable she was starting to relax. ‘Sooooo then… what made you text to meet up so soon?’
‘Ah yes,’ he blushed slightly, making Juvia’s heart pound harder. ‘I'm actually going on a business trip next week, so today was the only day I was able to do and knowing the other lot, I’d be the last one to meet you by the time I get back’. He smiled but just looked down at his black coffee.
Juvia laughed softly at his reason. ‘Would they be that bad?’
Gray laughed back ‘Oh yeah. I wouldn’t hear the end of it when I arrived back, especially with the way you are with me. Natsu would never leave me alone about it’.
‘What do you mean, they way I am with you?’
Gray looked over, with a stern but humorous look .
Juvia laughed again, and held her hands up in defence. ‘Ok, ok, I get you.’ She took a pause to take a sip of her drink and looked up at Gray. ‘I am very sorry if I have caused you any trouble from this. That was never my intention’.
Gray waved her off, ‘’You don’t need to apologise. Everyone finds it pretty amusing, even if it’s at my expense.’ He smirked over her way to show he was joking again.
That made Juvia smile and feel some pressure off her chest. She was glad she wasn’t too much of a bother to Gray. Maybe he even likes it, a little.
‘Sooo then’ he started mimicking Juvia from before, ‘why the anon life?’
‘Me? Ah well,’ she started biting her lip to think what to say.
Gray gazed at her while she paused to think. She was kinda everything he expected and nothing at the same time. She was definitely a lot more timid in real life than compared to online. She’d be shouting and saying absolute nonsense during the games, and yet here, in person, it seems she was a lot calmer offline, which he found cute cute, especially how easily she seemed to blush over the simplest talk.
In appearance, she was extremely pretty. He hadn't really imagined what she would look like, or more so, he tried to avoid it to stop making assumptions, but he had hoped she would be a little cute. But here she was, bright blue eyes and blue locks trailing down her back. With her decision to remain visually anonymous, he wasn’t expecting her to be this attractive and yet here he was, sitting opposite her and quite taken with her looks. What was he kidding? He was extremely taken with her looks. Her cat shaped eyes, long eyelashes and how easily she expressed her emotions on her face. If someone had described her to him, she wouldn’t be the usual type he was interested in, but now, taking her appearance in for himself, he couldn’t deny the attraction or how it was making him slightly nervous.
‘I don’t know honestly. I started quite early when there weren't many girls online, so it seemed the safest to stay anonymous. Our whole Phantom Lord league was at first, but eventually they all swapped over to the cam but at that time I couldn’t afford a cam, so I stayed faceless and my channel just kinda grew that way. I’ve also never been a big fan of my appearance so I didn’t think anyone would be interested in even seeing the way I look.’ She smiled once she had finished, waiting for his opinion.
He blinked at her. Did this girl just say she didn’t think anyone would be interested in how she looks?
‘Yeah when we first started out, having Erza play with us was a real difference compared to other channels but I guess Fairy Tail has always been a bit different.’ He chuckled, trying to figure out how he could approach the part about her appearance without being too weird about it. ‘I don’t think, erm, y’know, you should have felt the need to hide. I think people would have found you interesting…’
A blush glazed her cheeks at his half-attempt of a compliment. ‘You think? You think I should show my face soon? It would definitely mean I could meet up with you guys more and be seen with you!’
Gray was a little taken back that his awkwardly worded sentence would boost her this much, but if it works, it works.
He smiled, ‘Yeah definitely. I'd watch your channel if you showed your face, but it’s up to you really..’ he trailed off realising what he just said.
Juvia looked wide eyed at him, straw in mouth from her sip and a grin slowly grew. ‘Oooo now you know what I look like, you’ll finally watch my channel?’ She leant over to poke him in fun. ‘Wait, have you never watched it?’.
Gray was like a deer caught in headlights. In two very dangerous headlights that were currently staring across the table from him. It seems like she was finally warming up to him in person as her bubbly personality that she shows so profusely on her gaming chat, was finally coming out.
‘No no I have, you know what I mean’. Gray grumbled to himself, looking back down at his coffee and away from those dangerous blue eyes.
Juvia laughed at his very tsundere personality. He was usually so smooth and quick over chat, and yet, meeting in real life made her realise that maybe she wasn’t the only one with insecurities that you can leave behind when you go online to game with your friends.
They carried on chatting away which felt like hours, just getting to know each other more, how they got into the gaming world and finding out they had a lot more in common than they both realised.
As they parted ways at the cafe, after Gray had posed the offer to walk her to the station, but she kindly declined, ignoring her nagging heart, Juvia couldn’t wipe the grin off her face. This meeting had gone even better than she imagined, and she wondered what more could come of her and Gray in the coming future.
She knew she was probably thinking miles ahead of anything possibly happening, but she would be eagerly awaiting the next time they could meet.
And Gray’s smile on his face was surely saying the same things too.

Because im predictable, gray/juvia: "I wanna waste all of my time with you.” 🥺
Merry Christmas Shore! I am very grateful that I somehow made it into your circle of 5 fairy tail fandom friends!! I really admire your art and the speed at which you create, i love that we have the same brain when it comes to shipping and just your general love for Juvia. I promised something fluffy for christmas to offset all the angst, but I'm not sure about the quality of what I wrote. I hope you enjoy it anyway <3

Gray x Juvia
Post Alvarez lol i mean.
__
“I’m going to buy a drink.” Gray pushed himself out of the seat he had been sitting in for what was the better part of the day. His limbs felt numb and every bone in his body hurt so much that he wasn’t sure if stretching them out even helped. He’d been perched up on that wooden bench so long that he never wanted to go back there again ever, even though he knew he had to.
Juvia gave him a nod and said nothing, which he took as her not wanting one herself. She’d gotten very quiet in the last hour. Also another reason he needed a drink: When Juvia gave up her always cheery attitude in favour of being sombre something was usually very wrong.
The first beer that was handed to him Gray downed in one go without taking a breath and then he ordered the next one immediately and watched the baffled barman fill his glass again. Then he walked back to the table, frowning at the look of the bench he had to force himself onto again.
They’d been out on this job for three days. A wizard who was rumoured to have stolen some valuable diamonds was supposed to come by this bar or sell here and the mission giver had tasked them to sit there and wait for the guy to come by. Gray had asked Juvia to join, because he didn’t think that making conversation with Erza or Natsu during a full day was a bearable idea. Juvia on the other hand was pleasant to be around.
They had spent their days sitting in the back of that bar, the cheapest seats at the very back where it was mostly dark, waiting for a guy to appear that never appeared. Each night Gray had to watch the tenants of the pub get drunk without being allowed to drink himself. After all, alcohol and fighting didn’t match well - unless you were Cana, but she had incredible resistance anyway.
Gray sat back down in the damned place and he had half the second drink down right away. “If the guy doesn’t show up tonight,” he said, “we will go back.” Abandoning jobs was not his style, but wasting his time wasn’t his style either.
“What about the master?” Juvia asked and circled the table with her pointer finger. She looked dejected in a way that Gray hated, as if she was personally responsible for the misery of the last three days.
He emptied his glass. “Don’t mind him.” Gray shrugged. “I’d rather not get paid than be here for another 12 hours in this dark and uncomfortable and boring place.”
“I’m sorry, Gray-sama,” Juvia put the ends of her fingers together, “Juvia wishes she were better company.”
“What do you mean by that?” Gray waved to one of the staff to refill his drink and they did.
Juvia looked from the alcohol back to him. “Juvia is boring Gray-sama. That is why Gray-sama is annoyed.”
“It’s the guy that refuses to show up that annoys me,” Gray says decidedly. “You’ve not done anything wrong.” He tapped his finger in irritation and then sipped his beer again.
“But if Juvia were better company…” she murmured, “..maybe Gray-sama would be happier. Gray-sama asked Juvia to come along and now she is of no help.”
He let out an irritated grunt. “Nonsense,” he said and shook his head. “I don’t know how you always come up with this stuff.” There was already a considerable warmth in his chest and probably on his cheeks too. Surely the alcohol was getting to him. He downed the next drink.
Juvia looked at him as if she was trying to find words to say. The way she looked when she looked away from him, when she tried to do stay away from him if he was moody or angry, when she had somehow gotten it into her head that she was doing something that was wrong, he hated that look on her face. Juvia was the best when she was happy, when she was enthusiastic and a little weird.
“Don’t make that face,” he said and put his head onto his flat hand to keep it upright. “I asked you to come, didn't I? If I were bothered by your presence I wouldn’t have asked you.”
She opened her mouth, but he cut her off. “Seriously, it’s pleasant to have you around, you have a nice- “ he gestured a little with his hand - “..everything.”
Juvia blushed, which somehow made the warmth at his core worse, so he waved for another drink. He already felt a little confused in his mind, like it was slightly clouded over, but drinking helped with the frustration of the day.
Apparently having found her usual stride again with what he said Juvia moved closer to him and picked one of the strands of his hair away from the beer: “Why exactly does Gray-sama like hanging out with Juvia?”
Gray briefly closed his eyes and moved his head sideways into her hand so he could breathe in a little of the smell of the hand soap she was always using. He’d noticed it long ago, but he’d never been close enough to soak it in like now.
“You smell nice,” he said and by the way her fingers jumped away from his hair he could tell that his answer surprised her. He made a frowny face and reached for her hand again to put it into his hair. “I like when you do that too.” He looked at her and though she was slightly foggy, he could make out the red cheeks.
“You are always happy and positive and smiling - I like when you smile. Your powers are so compatible with mine so I like doing jobs with you and I enjoy every conversation we have with one another. “ He weighed his head. “But I also enjoy just being quiet around you. It’s pleasant to have you near me no matter what.”
He reached for one of the strands of her hair and turned it around his finger. “Gray…sama…” Juvia murmured in reply as if she didn’t quite know what to say to that onslaught of compliments.
His eyes shot up: “That I hate,l though.” Juvia blinked and he waved with his hand. “I don’t like how you are so formal with me. We’ve known each other for ages, hell, you’ve died for me, you should stop addressing me like I am a prince of some kind.”
“Well then, what if I call you dear then?” she asked slowly.
Gray grabbed the beer in front of him and drank half of it. Through his foggy mind the answer came much easier than it would have if he hadn’t been drinking. “Sure..” he said but didn't look at her. “Whatever you want.” His insides felt strange at this admission. He finished the glass for good measure.
Juvia let out a squeal and then, as if to test the waters, she leaned forward to his ear and slowly said: “Don’t you think that is enough drinks, my dear?”
It was like a magic spell had been cast. From where her breath had touched his ear goosebumps spread all through his body to the tips of his toes. He hadn’t experienced this since the last time he had been actually cold, which happened so very rarely that he couldn’t even recall when that was. But here she had done that to him, just with one word alone.
He buried his head forward into his arms, combatting the spinning of his head by having his eyes closed. Gray let go of the strand of hair he’d been holding and instead ran a hand through his hair to regain composure, but then he found her fingers already there. He’d forgotten he had put her hand into his hair in the first place.
“Dangerous..” Gray murmured and pulled away from her fingers. “You are a dangerous woman.”
Juvia leaned closer to him again. “Why? Do you not like it, my dear?” She made sure to make the last syllables very clear again. She stopped moving through his hair.
“No.” Gray said, decidedly and then slightly shook his head to invite her to continue what she’d been doing. “No.. it’s not.. Like that..” He didn’t know how to explain what confused him so much, so he just grunted in frustration and gave up. He buried his head deeper into his arms.
“Juvia thinks you had too much to drink, dear,” Juvia giggled and combed through his hair. “Maybe it’s time to leave.”
Somewhere beyond the fog, Gray knew she was right, but he found himself entirely unable to move. Too tired and comfortable with her body close, her smell in his nose and her hand in his hair. So he decided to pretend he’d fallen asleep, just to enjoy it all a little longer.

omg hi I haven’t written in a lil I’ve been busy freaking out over legit everything but I wrote a little more of my dragon Natsu and princess Lucy fic that I refuse to post bc I’m nervous it’s boring
………
“Can you grab the bandages, Natsu?” She asks, completely forgetting to add Prince to his name until she looks up. But he’s already tossing the empty stick that once held her fish into the flames, moving to grab the bandages next to Gray.
He finds it after a second, grinning before tossing it towards her. She catches it (somehow), before unraveling and sticking it to her leg. It’s sloppy, and nowhere near as perfect as Lokes, but it’ll do for now. It helped that this..Wendy girl—was great at making salves. She couldn’t even feel the slight stinging sensation she had gotten used to since this morning after falling.
She finishes up, giving it back to Natsu, who seems to have fun tossing it until it hits Gray in the head, who turns to glare before looking away quickly because her pant leg was still up.
“You can look, boys,” She says as she rolls her eyes, pulling her pant leg down. Gray and Gajeel sigh before their heads turn back towards her and Natsu. She glances at Natsu. “If they turned to look away, why didn’t you?”
Natsu looks at her; confused. “Why would I?”
Gajeel laughs, “He ain’t got a single shred of respect nor dignity in that ol’ lizard brain Princess. That’s why.”
“Hey!” Natsu yells, going to stand up, his fist turning to flames in the span of a second. Lucy jumps in surprise, but Natsu must notice, because the flame is quick to go out as he slumps back down on the log. ‘Tch.”
Gray yawns, rubbing his eyes. “While I’d love to watch Natsu get his ass beat, I’m tired. Who is first watch?”
Gajeel yawns at the same time. “Natsu and the Princess can. I doubt he’ll sleep for a while.”
“I am right here,” Natsu crosses his arms. Gajeel raises an eyebrow before he turns to go towards one of the three tents set up where Gray is already moving towards, waving his arm lazily. “Whatever…”

Hopefully this isn't too much..May I have angsty headcanons of when Juvia had nightmares about Gray-Sama dying in front of her. (And how would Gray help her deal with those nightmares).
https://youtube.com/shorts/hgl3Ll3tCaM?feature=share3 (I'm kinda referring to that)
I love me some good angst! Also Juvia is my all time favorite character so this will be fun!
Juvia cannot get the image of Gray dying out of her head
It's in her dreams almost every night after it happens. Juvia doesn't remember it actually happening but it's a vivid memory in her dreams
It gets to the point where she can't even look at him without getting flashbacks to the hole in his head
Juvia suffers in silence. She never tells anyone about her nightmares
But when her and Gray move in together after Fairy Tail disbands. She can't hide it anymore
Juvia screams Gray's name in her sleep as she watches him die over and over again
The first night it happens, Gray comes bursting in her room ready to attack whoever was there
All he finds is Juvia tossing and turning in bed whimpering his name now. In her mind, she's holding his corpse
Gray shakes her awake and Juvia nearly screams again. All she can see when she looks at him is the bloodied dead version
Not knowing what to do. Gray crawls into the bed with her and pulls her against his chest
Juvia doesn't speak, she just cries into his chest. The sound of his heart beat reassuring her
It becomes a routine for them. Gray will join her in the bed and Juvia will lay on his chest. Only able to properly sleep when she can hear his heart beating
They never talk about it. Gray too embarrassed by his softness and Juvia too worried that speaking about it will cause him to leave
Eventually, Gray gives up on sleeping in his bed and simply starts his night in hers
Juvia never jokes about it. Knowing if she makes a big deal, he will stop holding her
When Gray disappears, Juvia's nightmares get worse than ever
Her dreams are filled with horrible things that could've happen to him
Sometimes she worries that she made up Gray surviving and that he had been a hallucination the entire time
It gets so bad that she stops sleeping all together. That's when the others find her. It had been three days since she last slept

Summary: It's been three years. Zeref's books have burned with him, and time has healed the wounds of war. Natsu, Lucy, and the rest of Fairy Tail have carried on, to exist truthfully, beautifully, freely. Even with the rest of his life laid out before him, Natsu cannot escape the twisted shadows of his past. If he wants to endure to see tomorrow, he'll have to go back to the beginning.

Gray: Hey Juvia, have you eaten?
Juvia: Yes, Gray-sama. How about you?
Gray: Already grabbed a bite. We're back in the inn now.
Juvia: Good. Are you tired? How was your day?
Gray: I'm feeling a bit sore from fighting, but I'm fine. I'm glad to hear your voice.
Juvia: Me too. Juvia misses you.
Gray: I miss you too. I heard you went on a mission today. How was it? Did you hurt yourself?
Juvia: It was a simple bodyguard mission, Gray-sama. Everything went well. Besides, she went with Gajeel-kun and Lily.
Gray: Good. Don't stress yourself too much, alright?
Juvia: Juvia should be saying that to you. Knowing you guys, you might be overdoing things again.
Gray: Don't worry, I'm being careful. Trust me, I'm determined to make it back to you alive.
Juvia: Juvia would take your word for that. Promise Juvia that Gray-sama would come home to her in one piece?
Gray: I promise.
Juvia: Remember Juvia's always waiting for you, okay?
Gray: And I'll be back before you know it.
Juvia: Juvia can't wait. Well, take your rest now, Gray-sama. Juvia loves you so much.
Gray: I love you too, Juvs.

The Scars That We Share
I had a lot of fun writing for the reverse bang hosted by @ftguildevents
I had the pleasure of writing a fic inspired by @blueoceanarts amazing artwork. I hope you all enjoy! You can find the art here!!
Pairing: Gruvia
Warnings: Mentions of blood, scars and pain.
---
She stares at the ice wall before her. It's massive and sparkles with an unsteady glow. This magic is much different than her beloved. It doesn't hold the same strength and grace as the ice that he creates. There is a darkness that lurks inside the fractals.
There's only so much that she can do. Heat is what she needs in order to burst through the wall and help Gray on the other side. She has no clue how he's holding up and she begins to fear for the worst.
The wall had grown and circled around the men in the center. She has no choice but to go through. Although she loved the combination of their water and ice magic, there are certain limits that the both of them have.
Juvia glances towards her hands and then back to the wall.
“Juvia has to break through.” She says to herself. But there is a fear bubbling up inside of her. She knows very well that it will take an incredible amount of force to demolish even the smallest hole. Perhaps a tsunami is not enough.
Time is of the essence and there's not much room for waiting. Her hands catch her attention again and this time the fear of realization runs through her. On each of her palms holds faint scars. Scars from her childhood of over doing her power and causing herself inattentional danger.
She hadn’t meant to do it and vowed to never push herself to that extent, but now isn’t a time to reminisce. She needs to help Gray.
Slowly she takes a step back and throws off her coat. She takes a steady breath before aiming at the wall, praying that it will work.
“Melted Geyser!” She screams and sends a sharp water blast through the ice.
She hears the crack of the ice. It begins to splinter as boiling water forces its way through the thick walls. As the hole begins to appear, her lungs cave and she lets out a trembling scream. The water she emits runs at a temperature hotter than what humans are capable of obtaining. She pushes her body to the limits, tears blurring her vision as she continues with the boiling rampage.
She's entering a point of danger. Her body can only sustain so much heat. She feels like she is eveaporting. Her body twisting and begging for the cooling sensation she naturally has but it doesn’t give. Her knees buckle and she can see the light coming from the other side.
The only thing in her mind is saving Gray as her vision blurs.
Gray glares at the man before him. Another ice wizard but working for a dark guild.
“Murdering innocent people for power? You disgust me.” Gray spats at him. He couldn’t stand people like him. Cruel and evil who mock and prey on the powerless.
The man does nothing but laugh. The ice wall surrounding them makes Gray’s skin crawl.
He got separated from Juvia a while ago and he knows she's on the other side, he just has to get to her now. He can’t move or rush to break the wall either. He has to be patient and hope that she can get to him first, for now he can keep the man preoccupied.
He lunges at the man but he's too quick and forces Gray back with spikes of ice.
“Juvia, come on. Where are you?” He mutters to himself. As long as she's okay that's fine, but back up would be nice. “Stupid ice wall.” He says as he prepares another attack.
There's a rumbling from the wall that makes them both stop and turn. A treamble runs through the earth and shakes them. Gray’s smile appears knowing that this has to be Juvia’s doing.
He then hears it. The sound of the wall cracking and he sees the seam running up the wall. The dark ice wizard turns to try and reinforce it but Gray hits him hard with an ice blast to the back.
He watches the man fall to his knees, and just when he is going to get in another blow, he hears Juvia. His smile drops from his face.
It's a scream he can only categorize as brutal and possibly fatal. A type of sound that is squeezed from the lungs and bruises the vocal cords. A sound he never wants to hear again.
But as he turns and watches Juvia fall to her knees, her scream is on repeat in his head. He forgets the man and sends a cascade of ice towards him as he runs to her. His heart hammers from his chest and he can see her eyes fluttering and trying to stay open.
“JUVIA '' He shouts and the water that was blasting in the air comes crashing down like a rainstorm as he reaches her. His knees scraping against the earth as he catches her torso and pulls her to his chest.
Gray doesn’t care about the way the man behind him whimpers in pain and runs the other way. He doesn;t care about the mission or the reward, only about his girlfriend in his arms.
“Juvia?” He brushes her blue locks from her face. Her body is like ice but her chest still rises and falls and he can feel her faint breath against his skin. “What happened?” He whispers as he searches around for an answer.
His eyes zone in on her hands. Blood drips from her palms as if something has sliced them open but there's nothing but the wall of ice near them. Unlike the rest of her body, her hands burn. It's as if they have their own personal thermostat that's cranked way too high for anyone's health and he holds them to help cool them down.
Slowly he rises and holds her in his arms.
“Gray-sama?” Juvia mumbleds against his chest.
“I got you, just hold on. We’ll be at the hotel soon.” He says and her eyes shut as she falls asleep to the sound of his heartbeat.
—-
By the time Juvia wakes, night has fallen.
She sits up, her head slightly pounding but she feels alright.
“Gray?” She calls to him and notices that he has fallen asleep in one of the plush chairs. She stands and walks to the bathroom and begins to wash her hands. Her body has mended most of the damage on her palms but a present scar is still there.
She feels a warmth behind her and looks up in the mirror to Gray hugging her from behind. He places a kiss to the side of her head and she turns in his arms to peck him on the lips.
“You worried me.” Gray says.
She can tell he's holding back on his anger and it pains her. “Juvia didn’t mean to scare you. She had no other choice.”
He sighs and walks back to the bed, flopping onto his back. “I know, but, what even was that move?”
“Melted Geyser. When Juvia was a little girl, she got very upset one day. Somehow she was able to change the temperature of her water, but she wanted to see how far she could go. Juvia has no problem with the cold, of course she can’t freeze her own water but she can boil it.”
Gray chuckled. “I know that. I was once water locked in a boiling bubble.”
She rolls her eyes and playfully smacks his arm. “Anyways, Juvia wanted to see. She practiced and was able to get a small boil going. But on the day she got upset, she let out a cry and the water temperature escalated greatley that it ended up hurting her. Since then, Juvia has been careful on how hot she makes the water. If not, then what happened today occurs.”
Gray sat up and looked at her hands. They were much better than they were hours ago but it still made him feel anxious to know that this could happen again. And he knew she wouldn’t hesitate either.
“Does it hurt now?” He asked and she shrugged.
“It stings a little but it's nothing that Juvia can’t handle. Once we return home, Juvia is going to go see Wendy.”
She can tell that he still isn’t satisfied.
“Gray, my love, Juvia is okay.”
“You got hurt because of me.” Gray frowned.
“A small price for your safety, they will heal.” Juvia shrugged.
“I just don’t like seeing you hurt.”
“Juvia knows, but she would do it again and again. Do not pretend that you wouldn’t risk yourself for Juvia so there is no need to think that she would not do the same.”
He leaned his forehead against hers. “I’d risk my life for you.”
“As would I.”
Gray takes her hand. “Ice make flurry.” Suddenly a small cloud appears and snows lightly on her palms.
She has always taken a liking to his magic, as if it was a phenomenon of its own. The flurries hit her skin and provide a sweet relief.
“Scars are not always bad. They can remind us of what we have and what we treasure in life.”
She lifts the edge of shirt up to look at her stomach where a fine scar lays. Looking at it, she can still remember clearly of the ice chains and her sacrifice. In the same breath, Gray reaches to his own matching scar. Although that was one of the scariest moments of his life, he's not sure if he would trade it.
He had a few scars from when he was younger. If you looked closely, you might be able to see them but he has started to forget about those marks. He once had a small red line near his eye where Lyon had accidently hit him. A few where he was practicing with his magic without Urs supervision and he wasn’t fast enough to move out of the way for his ice spikes.
Although most of his scars had left, there were only a few that remained and caught his attention. The stomach scar that he shared with Juvia, a mark on his calf from Erza’s sword, and even a mark here and there from the many fights with Natsu. Each had a history and a story behind them.
“What are you thinking about?” Juvia asked to pull him from his thoughts.
“All the times I got dinged up as a kid.” He smiled. “I once sprained my arm jumping off some stairs I made. Ur was so mad at me. To be fair, I thought that the snow would be a lot softer.” He turned to look at her, never getting tired at the way her dark blue eyes captivated him. “Also about what you said. Scars aren’t bad. They keep us grounded.” His hand found its way to his guild mark where underneath each peck was a faded surgery scar from years ago, scars that he was the most proud of.
She places her hand over his, a beaming look in her eyes. “Everytime Juvia looks at you, she falls in love again.”
“And everyday you get more beautiful.” He smiles.
Her own smile gets taken over by a small yawn.
“I think we should lay down, you’ve had quite the day.” Gray watched as she tried to suppress another yawn.
“Juvia doesn’t know what Gray-sama is talking about, she slept for hours.”
He only laughed and fluffed up the pillows before laying down and Juvia followed. She rested her head on his shoulder as he started to trace patterns on her arm.
“Thank you.” Gray whispered.
Juvia turned to look at him. “For what?”
“Saving me. Protecting me. Loving me.” He said.
He could see the slight pink rise to her cheeks. Even after all the time they have spent together, he has never failed to make butterflies in her stomach or blush.
“You will never have to thank Juvia. You have her heart till the end of time.” She kisses his cheek. “She will always be there by your side, scars and all.”
“I love you Juvia.” Gray whispers as he kisses her softly.

Had a lot of fun with this, hope you enjoyed! Make sure to go look at the amazing art!!!

Please may I have a Fairy tail scenario Platonic and angst and comfort because it is between parents and their child and the pairing between Juvia Lockser and Gray Fullbuster is Gruvia and they are married and adults. Juvia and Gray could clearly see that something was affecting you (their son age 5 *he is the most sweetest kid known to man and everyone and he is just starting to learn ice magic) and the lack of appetite for Juvia's cooking and your older brother Greige Fullbuster age 10 noticed that something was clearly up with you as well..you were a sweet kid but seeing you this down..clearly broke their hearts (the Gruvia couple and your brother and Fairy tail noticed that something was clearly up). Gray and Juvia made an excuse to talk to you alone just to divert Greige to leaving the room just in case if it was a private conversation..you were rather reluctant to open up about was wrong when you were gently picked up by your mum and you saw the concerned look on Gray's face..you were reluctant but you then..told your parents that..your close friend from school passed away from a illness yesterday and the teacher told your class and you guess that you should feel relived right? *you were clutching your toy rabbit (Lucy got you the rabbit for your fifth birthday) closer to you* That your friend wasn't in any pain when he passed away in his sleep..Gray promised to listen when he just told you to talk while your mother was already listening to you clearly knowing that you wanted to talk to someone *you faltered again* after a while though, you start talking, reluctantly, your voice faltering and stumbling on each syllable as you choose your words..it was a rough start but it soon steadies and along with it..to keep company the stories and the memories you are so fond of..are the tears *the rain outside started to fall the moment that you started to cry*...like any parent..the Gruvia couple hated seeing their children cry..it was generally heartbreaking.

You're behavior change had not gone unnoticed by your parents. You thought you were putting on a brave face. But your actions betrayed that and Gray and Juvia knew something was wrong.
At first Gray and Juvia thought that you would come to speak with one of them about what has been bothering you. But time passed and you still didn't say anything. Their ray of sunshine their beautiful son was hurting and they were hurting as well.
Juvia's cooking was something that she knew you were always looking forward to and enjoyed. However at dinner tonight you've barely touched anything on your plate. Picking and playing with your food with a sad expression.
Gray and Juvia had tried to make conversation with you but you didn't seem interested. All you wanted was to be alone and you didn't want your parents to see you in such a sad state. "I'm not feeling all that hungry. I'm going to go to bed goodnight Mommy good night Daddy."
You spoke pushing your plate away from you and getting up from your chair. You walked to your bedroom and your parents could tell you weren't feeling the best. Gray and Juvia shared a look knowing they couldn't let this go on any longer.
Juvia and Gray both made their way up to your bedroom. Juvia knocked on the door as she spoke. "Sweetheart, can me and your father come in?"
A weak and soft response could be heard through the door as you replied. "Yes..." With permission, both Gray and Juvia entered your bedroom. You were lying on your side facing away from them as they entered the room.
Juvia sat down on the bed next to you putting her hand on your arm for comfort. "Sweetheart you haven't been acting like yourself lately. You've had me and your father worried sick. Please tell us what's wrong?"
You sat up from your bed and hugged Juvia and she wrapped her arms around you. Gray also sat on the bed putting his hand on your head. You couldn't hold it in anymore and the tears just started to flow out like waterfalls.
"It's okay sweetheart we're here cry for as long as you need," Juvia spoke as she rubbed her hand up and down your back. Your grip on Juvia tightened as you cried even more.
Juvia had picked up the toy bunny that Lucy had gotten you for your fifth birthday and gave it to you. Holding the bunny you now started to calm down and started to cry less. "Sweetheart if you're ready please tell us what's been bothering you."
Juvia spoke with a concerned look on her face. After finally finding the words you spoke. "My best friend...my best friend has passed away."
You spoke as you held your toy bunny and rested your head on Juvia's lap. "Oh, honey..." Juvia spoke putting her hand on your head to comfort you.
Silent tears fell from your eyes and your father Gray spoke to you. "It's okay to feel sadness like this and to show emotion. Don't feel the need to hide it if something is bothering you talk to one of we're here for you.
I'm sure in their final moments your friend was happy they were happy they met you and everyone in their life. So don't worry even in their final moments they passed on happily and without pain."
With his words, Gray wrapped you and Juvia into a hug. You smiled as happy memories of you and your friend filled your mind. "Yea you're right Daddy I'm sure they were happy."

Goddess of Water
I recently travelled Japan and when I saw the prompts for Gruvia week, somehow this popped up in my head. Can't tell y'all why, but here it is! Please be kind, otherwise I will cry.
The Gruvia fans were real nice to me last time, so here I am again, .. sorry? The floating Tori gate in Miyajima island is real pretty by the way, just saying. If you read the story, always think how pretty it is! Uh, yeah!
Juvia is a goddess & Gray is a human AU
Gray Fullbuster x Juvia Lockser
Rated T
Warning: very basic level (and probably wrong) usage of shinotism.
7185 words
Thank you to my dearest @kankuroplease for the wonderful additional artwork <3 Its so perfect I love it so much.
For @gruviaweek Day 2: Whisper.
When he was very little, Gray’s adoptive mother Ur took him and his foster brother Lyon to the floating shrine gate, a tall, orange structure that stood out in the water almost as if it was placed on its surface, when it probably ran deep enough to stand on the ground beneath. She put her hand on both her boy’s shoulders and told them matter of factly: “This is where you meet the goddess of water.”
Gray, who had always been fascinated by the different forms that water could contain, rain, waves, rivers, morning cold, and his very much beloved snow, had just about held himself back from gasping at that admittance.
“There is a goddess of water?” His eyes went wide over the calm water in front of him to the shrine gate at the back. It seemed so very huge to him, as if a hundred men could have never carried it out there. With the way the sun illuminated the space right behind it there was no doubt in his mind that a god could live there. Despite his passion for water, he had never himself been out to sea.
Ur smiled at him: “Of course there is. Just like there are gods for sky and earth and plants and the seasons. They are honoured at different shrines than this one though, this one is only dedicated to water.” She stopped for a moment and then laughed a little. “You know Gray, each year you ask me when the snow will be falling, that is something you could ask the goddess for, since she can actually make it happen.”
“Really?” The little boy felt his eyes shine at the prospect.

Worth Is Measured In Love
Tumblr media
A gothic fairy tale of a scarred beast with the heart of a prince, a blind beauty who sees better than anyone, a poor hero who yearns for true justice, and a trapped princess with an un breakable spirit, brought together by tragedy and love. Inspired by the musical The Grinning Man and many other adaptions of Victor Hugo’s work.
Let me know if you want a link to the fic.
