Howdy, everybody! Today’s a mighty special day indeed, it’s the day our founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence, starting our great nation!
Thomas Jefferson, one of the founding fathers (and the writer of most of the Declaration!) said that it should be celebrated with “pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other,” and I totally agree! I celebrate by watching fireworks, singing patriotic songs (my favorite is “My Country Tis of Thee”), and watching parades.
No matter where you are or how you celebrate I wish you all a patriotic and happy Fourth of July!
Your Friend,
Frieda Freedom 🦅

I think it's so interesting to think about the unique social implications of things on the islands. Like, the animal hats & how they originally existed for the practical purpose of protection & they kept wearing them even after that wasn't a factor anymore. & how the hats we see in the present day (when Finn & co visit the islands) don't really resemble animal hats, do they? & maybe that's just to make the significant human characters (who do still wear animal hats) seem more distinct but you best believe I'm going to make it into something bigger. Oh I'm so bad at putting my thoughts into words but it's something how the hats evolved into a new meaning. & when robo susan rips friedas hat off its like a very violating moment. Something something hats, the lack thereof, vulnerability. I don't know. Sorry. I was going somewhere with this but I don't know how to explain it. You get it though. Hats are interesting.
I like to think that (when everyone got sick and lots of them died and the rest moved to a new island) there was a bunch of small shifts & the animal -> abstract hats was one of them. And Frieda still wearing her dog hat shows her still holding onto the past in some way. There we go, that's something. This isn't a total nothing post after all

Tell me more about what Historia could be up to on Paradis post-Rumbling. She gives the romantic sheep job to Reijean, is there anything Hitchannie could bond over? :3
my hisuhitch agenda is quite possibly shifting This House into a throuple situation idk
if we take the epilogue as a pretty much real-time montage, to me it implies historia and the jaegerists have tenser relationship than hers with the zackly government. she has enough power to move freely, e.g. invite our ambassador babies and others (since kiyomi is there on the pier) without interference, and she keeps her distance from the hooligans in kevlar. they're in a stalemate basically, because her utility as a figurehead for zackly was transitioning from the fritz govt; what is she to the jaegerists? a potential obstacle they've inherited. royal blood has no value but its lineage/continuity now without the power of titans; maybe she's also "one of their heroes" like floch tells jean, but that obviously didn't prevent them from fighting the alliance. i don't get a sense the new regime celebrates ymir or her line, which is maybe a last freedom that eren won her: her legacy
i just can't accept historia sitting around for months with eren's heads-up about the rumbling, so her allies are either "moderates" that have clung on since the last coup (hitch) or carefully placed civilians like the old dyke shepherd OC i had reijean meet, a kind of anti-first interior squad. actually, i think she's ended up in a similar role to uri and frieda: "ruling" from the shadows with debatable efficacy, though... they were more like the lara to rod's willy tybur. i picture her riding on horseback all over paradis with no guard, probably just an ODM sword and a gun, gathering intel and straight up dispensing gold and grain for people who need it, and idk maybe "taking care" of any opportunists who used this newest coup she did not sign off on to perpetuate feudalism
but she doesn't start doing this work herself until she feels comfortable leaving her kid at home, so where we're at in This House right now... hitch has a head start with her extracurricular activities. not the fucking widows part but chipping away at jaegerism, and idk, just caring for people, especially women. i just think very deeply about historia's mother alma, and kuchel ackerman, and the backstory i'm constructing for hitch... but is hitch okay with doing this until she dies? is annie okay with leaving her on paradis for such an endless and maybe dangerous task?
their conversation in "sunset" belies the possibility that annie would think this continuation of "cleaning up rubble and corpses" is nearly holy work and fall in love harder, think hitch and historia are good people, but i do generally think annie has a better handle on her guilt than reiner. so if hitch like, throws a bag of beet sugar at her and tells her they're baking for orphans, annie would go along

Frieda's Bio
Tumblr media
"I feel bad for scaring the humans who accidentally bump into me. It's not their fault that they can't see me after all..."
More details on Frieda is under the cut
Name: Frieda Vogel
Age: 294
Height: 173 cm
Birthday: 25 Durna 1728 (Wahaqr)
Orientation: Agender Pansexual
Pronouns: Ae/Aer
Species: Sylph
Country of Birth: Kruzagné
Likes: Cheese, rösti, crosswords, cats
Dislikes: Coffee
Hobbies: Playing aer keyboard, arts and crafts, writing
Personality: Friendly and professional, ae's able to stay calm during most events. Due to aer professionalism, ae tends to be able to provide insightful advice while making others feel better about themselves
Style: Smart casual, with strapped shoes to expose as much skin as possible to feel wind currents. Also dons a medium turquoise long vest with dragonfly wing patterns on the inside
Abilities: Has complete mastery over air, also able to hover up till the mesosphere as well as fly up to 150 km/h without any ill effects
Background: Living in the skies, Frieda spent half a century looking down at the world below aer. Aer soon received an invitation from aer fellow sylphs to visit the civilisation living on the ground directly beneath them, unaware that the rest were planning to play tricks on humans
Upon arrival, the sylphs started to play pranks on humans, with emotions ranging from bewilderment to terror observed. Frieda didn't understand why the humans didn't see them approaching despite being in broad daylight, and approached a passing human about it
Ae was shocked when the human tried to walk directly towards her, as though ae was invisible. The other sylphs then explained that because most humans are unable to use magic naturally, they were usually unable to see sylphs. This surprised Frieda, as ae didn't know that not all species could see sylphs
Fascinated by the world beneath the skies, ae decided to reside on the ground and learn more about Kruzagné, aer new home. By interacting with non-humans who live in the country, aer was able to get used to aer life on the ground. From a travelling ifrit dancer, aer learnt how to play the piano and eventually the keyboard
Frieda then accompanied the dancer on their travels, which brought them to Selvraddur. While busking for money near the harbour, aer noticed that a fishing vessel had caught Ragnar
When ae asked the dancer about it, they waved it off and explained that in the mortal realm, merfolk were considered a delicacy amongst humans and that the world adopted a survival of the fittest mindset to begin with
Frieda didn’t feel comfortable knowing that Ragnar would be eaten by humans, and upon discovering that he was bleeding to death, ae went up to the owners of the fishing vessel and expressed interest in buying him
The owners called aer bluff as they knew that ae couldn’t possibly have money shortly after arriving in Selvaddur, prompting aer to physically retaliate by blasting the fishing vessel into bits
Fearful of the sylph, they decided to cut their losses and run away. Frieda then proceeded to free Ragnar from the fishing net that trapped him, the latter grateful for being granted freedom and promised to come to aer aid with matters dealing with the oceans before swimming away
After they parted, the dancer decided to part ways as they saw that Frieda would be able to survive on aer own. Ae then spent the next few years travelling, re-encountering Ragnar in Koho'e. They entered a relationship a while later before amicably ending it five years later, though they continued to travel together as friends
While travelling together with Ragnar, they met Hana in Teqaejan, the latter asking them if their species would be interested in staying in an inclusive hotel somewhere close to the mountains. Ragnar answered no due to the merfolk's general preference to stay underwater, while Frieda answered that the sylphs would be neutral towards the idea
The dullahan then thanked them for their insights and left both of them confused, though interested if such a hotel existed. They continued to travel together, eventually wanting to settle down in a permanent location and hold a job. Ragnar, already planning to stay above water permanently, agreed with Frieda and started to discuss ideal countries to settle down in
They agreed on settling down in Hannzein's middle level and made the move two years after their decision. Many years later, they heard about an inclusive hotel located in the mountainous region of Wulfenz. Recalling aer strange conversation with Hana, ae proposed to the merman to stay at the hotel for a few days, the latter agreeing as he was wondering if the hotel was owned by Hana
During their stay at the hotel, they were both impressed at how the hotel's infrastructure had considered the different species in mind. Frieda was surprised to see many skeletons scurrying about, with Hana surprising them with a welcome gift after discovering that they were staying at the hotel
An explanation from the dullahan quickly revealed that the skeletons actually formed the bulk of the hotel's staff as they haven't formally started the recruitment process, and both Hana and Jackson weren't sure if the hotel was sustainable in the first five years. She then asked if the hotel was 'inclusive' enough from an outsider's perspective, with Frieda expressing that ae personally thought so
Hana then mentioned to Ragnar about the saltwater pool the hotel had, which impressed the merman as a majority of aquatic species tend to be found in saltwater. He immediately asked for a job at the hotel, taking the sylph aback with his sudden request but nonetheless going along with him
The dullahan then asked for their qualities and what they could bring to the table, with Frieda highlighting that with aer mastery over air, ae could easily clean rooms and do so faster than the current staff. Hana then asked if aer invisibility to those who were born with human blood should be a reason to why the hotel wouldn't hire aer, with Frieda responding that aer could always wear a bell so that those who couldn't see aer could at least hear aer
Ae added that by hiring aer, the hotel could save on future entertainment as aer could play the keyboard, with Ragnar adding that he's able to play the guitar. Impressed with Frieda's ability to follow along instructions without question as well as aer being aware that aer invisibility was a problem, Hana decided to hire both of them and with Jackson's approval, worked out the dates to when they would be starting
Frieda was given the position as a housekeeper in the hotel, receiving a promotion to become the hotel's head housekeeper as well as a sizeable army of skeleton housekeepers under aer orders (with Ilias still keeping their souls bound to their skeletons) years later

Say Rae, since you’re into targ Eren, what do u think about a got au with a stark x targaryen arranged marriage, mikasa house stark and eren house targaryen✨
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! SPEAKING MY LANGUAGE!
okay so the idea i have is sort of meshed in with hotd where there are rival claimants for the throne. there's the fritz/reiss branch who want zeke on the throne while there is the king's second son from his second marriage, eren. eren's a little more volatile and while zeke is expected as king, the kingdom is very divided on this issue because the fritz family is NOT well liked.
now there's the north, with mikasa as the niece of the warden of the north, kenny. everyone expects kenny to side with the fritz family but instead, he pushes for a marriage between mikasa and eren.
eren has no taste for power really because he values his freedom. he's a dragon rider and a dragon dreamer. he'll fly off whenever he wants and come back months later and it got so bad that his father actually needs to shackle him somehow so the marriage couldn't come swift enough. and the whole thing angers him till he sees his bride. she's strikingly beautiful but she can also knock trained knights on their asses.
truly a marriage of ice and fire and the first of its kind.
actually the fritz/reiss families are not happy about this and try to stop it because they had plans to push a marriage between eren and a girl of their own house, historia. they also had plans to push a marriage between zeke and frieda but zeke rejected that idea by marrying pieck (who in my mind is from the vale) which is not that politically advantageous but he loved her. 🖤
i'm still thinking of what would send the brothers to war but yes, eren has the keys to the north sort of even though levi is next in line. also eren is part dornish i think. i think mikasa's heritage is from yi ti as well.
so many ideas!

Knight of Cups (Terrence Malick, 2015)
Cast: Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Natalie Portman, Brian Dennehy, Antonio Banderas, Frieda Pinto, Wes Bentley, Isabel Lucas, Teresa Palmer, Imogen Poots, Ben Kingsley (voice). Screenplay: Terrence Malick. Cinematography: Emmanuel Lubezki. Production design: Jack Fisk. Film editing: A.J. Edwards, Keith Fraase, Geoffrey Richman, Mark Yoshikawa. Music: Hanan Townshend.
Two films kept coming to mind as I watched Terrence Malick's Knight of Cups: Federico Fellini's La Dolce Vita (1960) and Andrei Tarkovsky's Mirror (1975). Fellini's film because the journey of Malick's protagonist, Rick (Christian Bale), through the decadence of Hollywood and Las Vegas echoes that of Marcello's (Marcello Mastroianni) explorations of Rome. Tarkovsky's because Malick's exploration of Rick's life exhibits a similar steadfast refusal to adhere to a strict linear narrative. Most of us go to movies to have stories told to us. Our lives are a web of stories, told to us by history and religion and science and society, and most explicitly by art. We tend to prefer the old linear progression of storytelling: beginning, middle, end, or the familiar five-act structure of situation, complication, crisis, struggle, and resolution. But artists tend to get weary of the straightforward approach; they like to mix things up, to find new ways of storytelling. The modernist novelists like Joyce and Woolf and Faulkner eschewed linearity, and filmmakers have tried to take a similar course. They have the advantage of working with images as well as words. So Malick, like Tarkovsky and Fellini and others, experiments with editing and montage to meld images with language and gesture to probe the psychological depths of human character and experience. The problem with experimentation is that experiments fail more often than they succeed. Some think that Knight of Cups is a successful experiment, but most critics and much of the film's audience seem to disagree, to judge from, for example, a 5.6 rating on IMDb. Knight of Cups spent two years in post-production and there are four credited film editors, which suggests that Malick over-reached himself. For me, what was lost in the process of making the film was a clarity of vision. Granted, the lives of human beings are messy, loose-ended things, but what do we depend on artists to do but try to make sense of them. I think Malick lost sight of his protagonist, Rick, in trying to interpret his life and loves through the film's odd amalgamation of John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress and the Major Arcana of the tarot pack and then overlaying it with a collage of images provided by Emmanuel Lubezki's camera. We glimpse Rick through filters, grasping for moments that will resolve into something substantial about him, his problems with his family and with women. And for all the casting of fine actors like Bale and Cate Blanchett and Natalie Portman, the production negates their attempts to create characters. In fact, their starriness works against them: Instead of being drawn into the character of Rick or Nancy or Elizabeth, we're removed from them by the familiarity of the actor playing them. I understand what admirers of the film like Matt Zoller Seitz are saying when they proclaim, "The sheer freedom of it is intoxicating if you meet the film on its own level, and accept that it's unfinished, open-ended, by design, because it's at least partly concerned with the impossibility of imposing meaningful order on experience, whether through religion, occult symbolism, mass-produced images and stories, or family lore." But I wonder if that's enough to make an experiment successful. I came away from Knight of Cups knowing nothing more about its characters than I did before I met them.

👊 ✈️ ⛓
👊does your muse favour nonviolence? will they be violent if needed? do they revel in violence?
Definitely nonviolence. Given Mambo's small, lanky build he doesn't stand to much of a chance in a physical fight anyway. However, when the time calls for it or anyone he cares about is in danger, he will get dangerous thinking more with his feet then his mind, even at the cost of his own health.
✈️ does your muse have any specific fears? is there a reason why they fear these things?
Answered here.
⛓ has your muse ever felt trapped? by what?
Does what he calls his 'dull life' in the top tower room count? No? Alright, then being up there desperately trying to save the kingdom while Frieda was in control. He said he wanted it edgy, but being at the mercy of a wicked, power-hungry stepmother in the very top tower room that is usually safe was not the immediate idea of edgy he had in mind.
Oh, and he would not do well in a cage whatsoever. He would hate being treated like an imprisoned animal without freedom. Or locked in any other place where he would be treated that way.

Dear gang, I used to partake of birthday and pizza parties when I was younger, both as an invitee and as the birthday kid. Val's performances still have a special place in my heart. I was very sorry to hear about Frieda. When I grew up, I became an engineer and am wondering if there is anything I can do to help, especially with Frieda. You all gave of yourselves during my formative years, and I would like to give back if I can.
Tumblr media
Dearest Anonymous,
We will seriously consider your kind offer. Unfortunately, it is not an easy answer.
As deeply as we - especially I - would love to accept your help, we cannot in good conscience take such an action lightly. There are several reasons. To name just a few... we are unable to compensate you for your labor. It would be unthinkable to accept such kind... and dangerous... work for free, which brings me to my next point: the danger. I will not lie, much as I would like to - there have been accidents in the past. It is the main reason it has been so difficult to repair her. Frieda struggles so much with her basic motor function that she can have trouble keeping still for maintenance.
And finally, the complexity. We are... no mere machines. The gang and I have agreed collectively that it is dangerous for us to elaborate too much on this point. We cannot explain too much without endangering ourselves and the restaurant. Just know that only an engineer intimately familiar with our unique workings can safely perform maintenance on us. There is far more than mere machinery to our physiology, thanks to our creator □□□□□□ □□□□□□ □□ □□□ □□□□□□□□□ □□□ □□□□□□□□□□ special mechanisms and circuits to □□□□□ □□□□ □□□□ □□□□□□□ within us (I'm sorry Val, I felt this phrasing was giving away too much for comfort and I'm stepping in here to censor this - Leon). Only our creator knew of these things, as the research of his later years was conducted in secret.
That said... stay in touch. Things may change. They may not always be this way. It is our stalwart hope that Frieda may be fixed - indeed, that we may all have someone who can work on us.
We could certainly use it.
And especially given my... feelings... for Frieda, I wish this almost more than I wish for my own safety. But this is not simply about me. It is about all of us. And we must keep each other safe for now.
Please don't be a stranger, darling. Your generous offer may one day prove a possibility, and we would be loath to turn it away completely.
All my love and gratitude,
Valerie

We literally got our answer on why King Fritz wouldn’t have done xyz to help the Eldians. He literally didn’t give a shit about his race and thought they deserved to die. So even if there was a way to put an end to the curse and he knew it, he didn’t go through with it because he thought the Eldians should suffer― just not him of course. Like Kruger pointed out, he simply didn’t care about his people. So stop using that as an excuse to debunk theories about there being a way for them to make it impossible for Eldians to turn into Titans. King Fritz simply wasn’t a “good” guy at all. He’s just your classic “leader” who finds a short-term solution that will save his own ass but screw over the future generations. As for the other FTs, I think it’s clear the ones before him were all for the Eldian Empire and the Great Titan War because they didn’t do anything to stop it. It’s honestly not surprising that all the previous leaders were selfish and power-hungry. Just look at real life and our own history. It’s rare to find a ruler that actually cares for the entire population. So yeah, please stop it with the whole “King Fritz was a good guy why wouldn’t he have put an end to the curse if there was a way!1!” claims.

Eren + Historia are 2 halves of Ymir’s Backstory
When I was watching the new episode, I noticed some similarities that Eren and Historia have with Ymir.
Eren
In the early days when Eren was with the scouts and his titan powers were new to everyone, there were expectations and pressure put onto him to fulfill whatever orders he was given (I’m not blaming the people of Paradis, they were in a bad situation and were trying to get out, and it’s not like they were trying to hurt Eren, I’m just highlighting similarities). Just like the Eldians from the past, the Eldians of Paradis had never seen something like Eren, so I’m guessing that a lot of the debate and experiments that Eren went through was probably what Ymir would’ve gone through at some point since the power was new and people were trying to figure out how it works and how to use it to their advantage.
Ultimately, Eren chose to believe in his friends/the scouts, and accepted whatever they, and Paradis, wanted him to be because he wanted to help his people and fight for his freedom.
Tumblr media
Ymir was also used as a weapon to benefit Eldia. They used her as a weapon for war, and a means to develop there society, like gaining land, building roads, bridges etc. We also saw this with Eren when he helped the scouts regain the land within Wall Maria and when they used him to make that titan guillotine at the end of season 3 part 1, and seal the gates in Shiganshina.
Historia
Historia was unloved and neglected in her youth like Ymir, (except for Frieda, but Historia grew up with no conscious memory of this until much later). Her father never cared for her until she was useful to him after her other siblings died. Then he tried to force her into a role that suited his agenda, without regard for what she wanted or what was best for her. The scouts also did this to Historia when they had her become queen, and again later on, when the military were put in a position to ask her to breed like livestock for the rest of her life, and just like Eren, Historia accepted the weight of responsibility for the sake of her people.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both Eren and Historia were pushed into roles for the sake of others, and accepted those roles for the sake of others as well. Ymir, I do believe, accepted her role for the sake of others too, but also out of the ignorance and innocence of not knowing any better because being enslaved was all she ever knew, and she was so young too (Eren and Historia were also young as well when they accepted these roles, only teenagers).
I think these similarities is why Ymir may have taken notice of them and why Eren understands her well enough to get through to her. After growing closer over the years and bonding over their shared experiences, I think at some point Eren and Historia, given how much they’ve lived for others, decided to live for themselves together, to be on each other’s side no matter what. And now, Eren has convinced Ymir to do the same too. Eren and Historia are doing what they feel is best for them even if everyone is against them. Instead of choosing to believe in his friends/the scouts and live for their sake, Eren choses to believe in himself (just like the ‘Akuma no Ko’ ed says: “what is right is to believe in myself”).
(Its also worth noting that we first see Eren choose to believe in himself instead of his friends in the Reiss cave when he takes the armor serum bottle, instead of letting his friends go through the rubble. Which is right after Historia saved him by rejecting what her father wants her to do and be, despite it resulting in the end of humanity, and making her own decision for herself).
--------------------------------------------
Also wanted to mention this moment in Ymir’s backstory.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We see her looking at a couple. We don’t know for sure what she was thinking but the couple bear a clear resemblance to Eren and Historia. And the line that is said as we are introduced to Ymir’s backstory, particularly this part with the Eldian couple alluding to E+H, is talking about always thinking of others and being helpful toward others, to be loved by others. It’s a theme that Eren, Historia and Ymir have been dealing with throughout the story.
The white petals falling also tie in with Eren and Historia’s eds. White petals fall all around Eren and Historia in their respective endings, and I don’t think its a coincidence either. I’ve talked a little about the shared symbolism between Eren, Historia and Ymir here, if you’re interested.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eren= I’m not special, and I don’t have to be, because I was born into this world, that’s reason enough to deserve freedom (Eren’s mom said this, and Eren was visibly happy about it)
Historia= I’m not a queen, or a goddess, I’m just a normal girl (Eren called her a normal girl and she said it made her happy)
Ymir= I’m not a slave or a god, I’m just a person (Eren told her this and it brought her to tears, and freed her)
They all have a common theme of rejecting the labels and roles given to them and returning to the simplicity of themselves as just being a person, and the freedom of just being allowed to just be and live freely for yourself.

The Fall Of Mikasa's Character (3/?)
SNK Endgame posts (4/?)
So wait...
Tumblr media
Eren says the Founder's power made it so that there's no past and future and it kept messing with his head...
But that isn't the Founder's power.
It's supposed to be the Attack Titan's power.
Tumblr media
This chapter literally retcons the rules it setted chapters before it.
The Founder's power has nothing to do with Time, it is the Attack Titan.
These are the Abilities of the Founder: Titan creation, Titan behavioral control, memory and body manipulation of Subjects Of Ymir (except Ackerman but the last chapter retconned that too since Mikasa speaks about "THAT DAY WHEN EREN CAME TO VISIT US") telepathic communication with Subjects of Ymir.
Moreover, how come Eren said time messed up with his head when he was literally able to mindplay Zeke in 120 into thinking he was in control of the memories while it was him who controlled the memories in the first place hence in control of his power through time?
Tumblr media
Also Frieda didn't know about it and she had the Founder, Grisha suspects that it's because of Karl Fritz's will but he still says that every titan is unique in it's own way. If the Founder is capable of travelling through time, the Attack Titan is no more unique.
Tumblr media
And if the Founder is capable to travel through time, DON'T YOU THINK A CERTAIN KARL FRITZ WOULD HAVE USED IT TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING GOES ACCORDINGLY TO HOW HE WANTED IT TO HAPPEN ?
Moreover The Attack Titan doesn't travel through time. It travels through memories big difference. So how come is Eren capable to go back to memories of people who do not have the Attack Titan, nor the Founder.
Also talking about the so called Lelouch plan of Eren.
Tumblr media
Eren didn't have all the memories, how come is he able to make sure of that supposed end point with Mikasa will happen? After all in 121, Grisha gave up at the last second, it's Eren who had to influence him.
If anything the memories he saw could just change since even in the past things needed to be influenced. After all, in 134, he threw rocks at them while they were flying in mid air and the plane could've just exploded with everyone inside and all of his plan could've fell apart.
If Eren wanted his friends to pull a Lelouch, why did he put them in all of these dangerous situations ? So at times Eren can do something like in 131, but when Hange is about to get killed, he doesn't do anything ? It all seems too convenient to me. Was it him that send Falco the dream than ? Or is it something else ?
You can't have Eren not controlling his powers but able to in certain cases because "It's fate" and pull a Lelouch with so much limited information that he has when he himself doesn't have all the memories and doesn't understand most of them.
So we can manipulate the past but we can't change the future ?
In that case if the Attack Titan was striving for freedom ever since it existed. Does that mean Eren literally influenced all the events of the story including past wars ? Why does the Attack Titan strive for freedom when they are not even persecuted like during the Eldian Regime ?
If Eren has the power to influence the past, why doesn't he influence past events that created the whole mess between the Eldians and the world in that case ?
People are going to say it's Ymir, but the Attack Titan always refused to obey the King's Order and Ymir was devoted and "in love" with him so it can't be her ?
The Attack Titan's Owners eye colors changes when they get the Titan and ressemble those of Eren. Just like Frieda when she is taken by Karl Fritz's will.
Tumblr media
But here, we see Eren's (and Grisha's titan) with two different eye color, pre-timeskip and post-timeskip. It seems more...translucid but Eren didn't have the Full Founder's power during Liberio so did Eren influence itself in titan form. If so, if it is him, why has Eren been shown to be afraid of his own will ? Why did Eren physically change to look more and more like his Titan ? Shouldn't he just look like himself ?
Also Eren had the Founder pre-timeskip, why his eyes changed colors during Liberio and not during the pre-timeskip ?
After all in one flashback when the Volunteers arrive on the island, Eren still has a semblance of pre-timeskip eyes. But is starting to turn into post timeskip eyes.
So does that mean Eren influenced everything into the story or is it just it's will that's controlling people ?
By the way how come their eyes changes to those of Eren, if they literally existed before him ? Did Eren sent his DNA to the past ?
So does that means Eren influenced wars even at times when Eldians weren't persecuted, killed Faye, killed Carla just so because he wanted to do genocide ?
Eren says it's because he had an endgame which was Mikasa's choice, than says it's because the Founder messed with his head and than he says it's because he wanted to do it. And let's not even count past chapters and how Eren's motivation changed like a hundred times.
Why doesn't he tell anybody about what he saw during the ceremony in chapter 90 ?
He seemed afraid by the Rumbling but still wants to do it ? Because he has to ?
So Eren can manipulate 2000 years of history but isn't capable of saving his own mother from a titan he already controlled before ? Because yet again, it's "fate." But Eren already hated the titans before his mother died, both in chapter 1 and 73, we learn that Eren already wants to go outside and is mad at the titans for stealing his freedom. His mother doesn't need to die since he is already angry anyway.
If Eren doesn't go with Zeke's plan, Zeke doesn't suggest to retake the founder during the meeting at the start of the Marley arc and the Liberio event doesn't happen.
That man manipulated the whole conflict. If Willy doesn't die (he says that to Magath), most of the world won't believe him and therefore an international attack on Paradis is very likely not to happen. They knew they were being spied upon and that they were going to get attacked.
Eren says he wants his friends to be heroes but half of them died and are forced to kill many people including innocents during Liberio including Armin who blew up a whole port.
Nothing is consistent in this story anymore.
Eren cannot be able to manipulate possibly hundreds of people and titan shifters before him and change the past to how he wants it (like in 121) than be unable to stop Dina, a titan who he was able to control earlier because the Founder messed up with his head and time when 121 proves otherwise.
So Eren is capable of precisely erase the memories of all his friends (including an Ackermam) in the blink of an eye but isn't able to save his own mom ?
All of this speaks "The power works when the author wants it to work".
By the way, if The Attack Titan only travels through memories of past owners, how come Eren was able to sent a memory to himself in chapter 1 when he didn't have the Founder nor the Attack Titan ?
Also how can he receive that memory from the future when the Memory Wipe of Karl Fritz stops any memory that has something to do with the outside world or something he doesn't like ? This was shown with Eren who had headaches about his father injecting him the serum but couldn't remember it because of that Memory Wipe.
Why would Eren send that memory to the past ? To change something but what ? He wanted to do the Rumbling ? Oh Of course I forgot his thoughts were inconsistent but he is able to manipulate a titan through 2000 years of History including his own father.
It was with Kruger who only had the Attack Titan that we were shown you can receive memories from the future. Kruger doesn't even know whose memories belong to and why would Eren sent a memory there when none of them know who Mikasa and Armin are ?
Tumblr media
Also if Eren manipulated everything, how come Grisha who lost his first wife a few hours before he met Carla fell in love with her after seeing her for the first time? Did Eren influence his own father to be in love with his mother so he could be born just to destroy 80% of the world ?
I mean he does exactly what Kruger told him to do, he loves someone while the guy lost his first wife just a few hours before that moment.
Grisha should be a little more troubled by this.
Tumblr media
Also VERY IMPORTANT!
Why does Grisha give Eren the Founder and the Attack Titan when he saw the Rumbling and asked Zeke to stop Eren ?
Why did Eren wanted Zeke to see that memory ? What was important in that memory ? Why is it never brought up again ?
Tumblr media
Why would Grisha tell to Eren that if he wanted to save his friends, he'll have to control that "power" when Eren literally influenced him in the past and he saw that Eren got the Full power of the Founder in the future and unleashed the Rumbling ?
What power was he talking about ?
Why did he give Eren the Titan when he knew what he was about to do and didn't agree with it ?
Did Eren influence him but why would he tell Eren to control this power when he already does in the future ?
What was the point of that ?
Tumblr media
I'm really starting to question whether this was Isayama's original ending anymore.
The Eremin teaser (4.5/?)

SNK DEVILS ANALYSIS
King Fritz and Ymir:
Tumblr media
See how the devil has claws, craving for the little girl’s apple and really looking like a malefic being, when the girl seems innocent, passive. She does not realize what’s happening. The apple, representing pregnancy/fertility but also the original sin, is what King Fritz took from Ymir, his « slave », who didn’t even realize what was stolen from her since she never had any freedom. You can see that when she has her daughters, she looks at them curiously, as if she didn’t understand where they came from, that they were hers. (I really hate that royal rapist😃👍🏻).
Eren and Historia:
Tumblr media
Look now at Historia’s book drawing: the devil is very much different from the first one, and looks like Eren’s titan for sure. His lamp could symbolize a meeting at night, which means the meeting is secret. But the most important thing is the girl: she looks like she is offering the apple in an active way, and the devil looks almost surprised. Doesn’t it remind you something ? Oh, yes: chapter 130 and Historia saying « what do you think about me bearing a child ? », offering to Eren her pregnancy WILLINGLY. Plus when this illustration was showed, Frieda asked to Historia to be « like this girl », she did it in the field of a farm, foreshadowing what was going to happen.
Tumblr media
Even this panel seems like an evident parallel of the pact picture. Eren is facing Historia when they were just walking together in the other frames. Eren is even leaning towards her like the devil. He has a hood like him too.
And the « Well, Eren », with that peaceful/out of time vibe really makes me think about a pregnancy announcement. Also, the body language of Historia with her hands on her belly is unusual.

Why Mikasa killing Eren is not a solution
Ideas and theories about AoT’s possible ending have been everywhere for a while and one of the most popular endings is Mikasa killing Eren, which will stop the rumbling.
No. Eren can’t control the way rumbling will go and how it will end. Ymir is, because she is the only one who can actually cause the rumbling.
But why she didn’t do a rumbling before? Well...There’re 2 answers.
Holders of Founding Titan were restricted by Karl Fritz’s vow of renouncing war, so they couldn’t use the power to change the environment created by 145th king.
Ymir possibly waited and created the perfect timeline to free herself and start the rumbling.
Okay, there’s a theory that was proposed by Ascension Anime on YT. So according to the author, Ymir created a perfect timeline so someone will free her and get revenge on the world, because of injustice and slavery that she experienced her whole life.
Because of her incapablity to be in physical world and directly change it, she needed a “tool” or someone, who will be as angry on the world as she is. That someone should have been from Attack Titan’s holders, because as Grisha described it (manga panels below).
Since the beginning, Attack Titan was created with a purpose to free Ymir herself. No other titan shifter can do such things as Attack Titan can. Even if memory transaction is a common thing between shifters, they can’t see the future memories or somehow affect the past.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So how it’s related to Eren? As we saw from chapter 121, Eren “helped” his father to steal the Founding Titan from Frieda.
By stealing the coordinate, not being from royal family and having a stong will to destroy the world, Ymir “created” a perfect “tool” to free herself and get revenge on the world. Since the beginning of the series, when Eren hasn’t inherited Attack Titan and Founding Titan yet, he saw his future memories as the long dream. As it was discovered later, Dina (Smiling Titan) didn’t eat Bertholdt, who was right in front of her, but went inside and ate Carla, which caused Eren to develop his hatred towards the world. Later on, many occasions just added extra reasons to start the rumbling, which eventually leaded Eren to “free” Ymir and become the person he is today.
So what do all of these things mean? It means that killing Eren won’t stop the rumbling and the only way to do so is to stop Ymir herself. I think that it’ll happen since Zeke and Armin are inside of the paths and they will somehow find a way to change Ymir’s mind (chapter 136).
Both Armin and Eren wanted freedom to see the outer world. But their views on freedom have been different since the beginning. Armin views freedom as an opportunity to discover new things and learn, while Eren thinks that freedom is where no one can bother him and there’re any enemies. Eren’s view is very similar to Ymir’s, because in her case, everyone wanted to exploit her for their own benefit. This also happened to Eren, because military used him as a tool to understand titans’ nature, close the hole in Shiganshina and etc. But of course Eren’s situation was far better than Ymir’s.
From moral perspective, killing Eren might be a solution, since he has committed many violent acts and millions of people have died because of him. But will it bring justice to the world? It’s debatable, because Eren is not an one-sided villain. He is regretting what he did and surely will do after being stopped. He is irredeemable as a villain, but there’s an another thing. He is doing this to save his friends and unite people so they will fight together against the villian. Even now warriors and SC united together to stop the rumbling. He is letting go his human side to become that inhuman monster. Because of his violent actions Marleyan Eldians are redeeming themselves (for ex. Gabi and Karina). Magath, who exploited Eldian soliders and turned them into titans also understood that he was wrong.
Tumblr media
Eren is both a hero and a villian. Mikasa killing Eren won’t redeem him, because he is not 100% evil and his actions are bringing something good to this world. But as a massive murderer killing him might bring justice on victims’ side. Eren is both cruel and beautiful as the world itself.
He is the person, who showed both beauty and cruelty of the world to Mikasa. And killing him for her will be quite hypocritical, since it will be contradictory to her own views on life. I believe that she will safe Eren from himself as she always tried to do and as Grisha said to Mikasa in ‘Lost Girls’:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even if Eren wants to die the end, she will try to safe him, because in our case...cruelty is not a solution.
Tumblr media
Cruelty was the main reason why many people suffered and why titans exist in the first place. If someone actually cared for Ymir and showed Eren that he is a human that deserves to be loved, these things wouldn’t happen.
Cruelty won’t resolve this issue, but understanding and love will.

Dreams, Curses and Children.
Been re-reading some stuff for writing fic, and I just keep coming back to this chapter and this scene and I can’t help it.
Tumblr media
So we know Ackerman surname is often translated to Farmer:
Tumblr media
(Link to full Reddit discussion)
Farmers cultivate the land. Create new life. They grow stuff. What is shown repeatedly in shots of Grandpa Ackerman’s room?
Plants.
Tumblr media
Everywhere.
Tumblr media
… all while he talks about different bloodlines, and how the existence of these different bloodlines disrupted the King’s rule. The rule of the Titans. They affected the King’s ability to use the Founder in the way that he wanted …
Ackermans can’t become Titans. Much later, this is confirmed. They are literally ant-Titan and anti-Founder in every way 😂.
Also notice what’s on the shelf behind his bed.
An apple and a book. Where have we seen these things before?
The story of Ymir and/or Christa - a story about a girl who gives her fruit to a monster hidden beneath a hood. At least in Historia’s version he wears a hood. If you look closer on the cover of this book, as its shown in the anime, it’s interesting ...
Tumblr media
Two girls, two apples. One with a crown the right way up, decorated with what looks like flags. The other, the crown is upside down - signifying the end of rule? The disruption of power? - and what’s more, the crown is made of plants and flowers.
So … does the book Frieda reads to Historia literally tell the tale of how the Royal Family’s reign will come to an end? How the era of the Titans will end? A girl giving her fruit to a monster under a hood …
Ahem, just gonna leave these here, ahem. Thanks Key!
Tumblr media
(‘I saved them … the lives of the children they would bear …’ says Zeke, the stone-throwing, euthanasia planning antinatilist nemesis to Levi, Mr. Let me just open an orphanage with the Queen who’s now pregnant, can’t stop getting distracted by children, constantly depicted as fatherly figure, literally pro-life.)
ANYWAY.
The scenes in Grandpa Ackerman’s room are shown in a Kenny flash back right in the middle of the scenes where Historia literally overthrows her father and rejects her destiny as successor of the Founding Titan.
The chapter is titled Dreams and Curses. In a much later volume, we are shown that Ymir is a girl that ‘dreams of a world free of curses and fate.’
That world comes into being with the destruction of the Titan powers and her freedom from PATHS.
Which, so randomly, coincides with the birth of this cutie …
Tumblr media
All that gorgeous wavy hair! I wonder if there’s anyone else who has hair like that who’s been connected with royalty … Uh, wait.
Tumblr media
Isayama also said this once:
Tumblr media
Look. I’m not saying it’s what happened. Clearly the guidebook tells us Historia married her stone-throwing bully, no wait, her ‘childhood friend’ and had a child with him.
I keep thinking about this anime scene addition, back in Season 1.
Tumblr media
Alright, so maybe her childhood friend has a BAD LEG and uses a stick which he tends to leave hooked over the back of his child’s crib
(Sarcastically insert here: panel of cardboard cutout husbando strolling along to Hisu and child in birthday scene of manga alongside panel of wheelchair Levi. Because I’m out of image room.)
And is linked with FLOWER AND PLANT SYMBOLS because one of the only three times we saw him, he was forking some hay at the orphanage
(Insert here: image of Levi kneeling in front of dead Kenny after Dad discussion with close up of daisies.)
🥴
Or maybe Eren dreamed about a different baby’s crib at the start. Maybe this is just some random image with no significance at all.
I just hate how the Ackerman idea makes more sense to me, narratively (not even necessarily ship) speaking.
