oh! oh! i know how to do edit the save files! okay so first go into the saves folder, just called "saves", and scroll until you see a folder titled "Fallen". there'll be a bunch of files in it, ignore most of them except the one called "clan_cats"- this is where the cats are held! you can do a bunch of things here but most of them aren't relevant to getting lee into the clan- do CTRL + F to do a search function (if that doesnt work youre on a different type of computer than i am and i have no clue. sorry! D:), then just type in Lee.
there you'll see Lee, he'll have a bunch of words and stuff IGNORE THAT and change a couple things for him to join the clan:
"status": "loner" to "status": "warrior" (or elder, whichever you want, just keep it in the commas). this part is near the top, just like 5 lines down
line directly below status is "backstory"- i dont actually know what his backstory would be listed as but it doesnt matter bc you're changing it to "loner1" (keep it in the commas)
scroll like ALL the way down until you see the next character section, that'll be visible by the }, } bit- then look like 5 lines above that until you see "outside": true, set that to false instead (no commas for this bit)
and that should be it! if it doesnt work or you need more clarification D: sorry D: but hopefully its fine and then WHAM. lee has joined the clan (it wont have an event blurb about him joining btw) (it thinks he's been part of the clan like forever) (but thats fine probs) !!! - 🪶
PS: 5 bird facts please >:D
oh shit it worked. well. i guess Lee is joining the clan now

Red Winged Blackbird
The Red Winged Blackbird is a bird found in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Their striking red plumage against black feathers is sure to make them stand out. They’re actually known to be very polyamorous, with a male having more than one female nesting in his territory at a time. There is actually a red winged black bird that does not have the yellow stripe, although they are not a different species and rather a product of the environment that they live in. Learn More!
Potoo
Ah, the Potoo. A little guy with a big personality, their huge eyes have often made them the subject of memes. But look past the memes and you’ll see an interesting little fellow. They are similar to the tawny frogmouth, even related to them, as they have a large mouth for catching insects. Unlike the frogmouth, however, they will pounce on prey (which is usually insects), taking it back to their perch to eat it. They are sometimes known to also eat birds and bats. Learn More!

Fun Fact! Birds tend to "puff up" their feathers for a wide variety of reasons other than just when they're feeling angry or defensive! They actually oftentimes do it to regulate their body temperature, prepare for sleep, and during/after preening!
Anyways, this was just a cool little fact I found and I was curious to see what you all thought in regards to the Links and their behaviors.
Again not a dungeon meshi reader/watcher but every time I hear about that laois guy I get reminded of how my system had/has a hyperfixation on dragons so intense that we got that big fancy dragonology book and we treated it like the damn dragon Bible for like years
Now, obviously, we understand that there's different interpretations on mythical creatures, and no one interpretation on a dragon is necessarily gospel, but that multiple interpretations on the classic tale of beasts of scale and fire are completely valid and to be expected!
however if you call an Eastern dragon a coatl I'm going to come to your house and slaughter your family
"yo they have orgies and are very gay about it???"
The hamerkop is also known as the hammerkop, hammerkopf, hammerhead, hammerhead stork, umbrette, umber bird, tufted umber, or anvilhead.
The "gay orgy" as noted above is a behavior known as "false mounting". This happens between mated and unmated birds, and can happen between same sex birds, as well as reverse mounting, where the female mounts the male. Because no mating actually takes place during these events, its seen as a social behavior rather than a mating behavior.
White-winged Tern Propaganda
"beautiful breeding plumage"
These birds breed in freshwater marshes across southeast Europe to Central Asia to the Russian Far East. They'll nest either on floating vegetation in the marsh, or on the ground very close to water.
Unlike most terns, which dive for their prey, these guys will surface-pick insects from the top of water, as well as capture insects on the wing.
Fun fact: Feathers’ cape is actually inspired by the capes in COTL, specifically this one
And I realize there’s an accompanying mask, and if you can’t tell I’m a huge bird fan lol, so I just had to draw FoCW with it. It was just a funny “haha reference” moment but I actually ended up liking it so much I drew it a bunch more-
The doodle page also includes a bunch more of my ocs! Mainly birdified versions of Realm Above the Trees and one designed by @/faelingdraws (who I still need to name 😭). Also The Excavator, some scavs, and the Seeker Vulture are here
ALSO I FORGOT TO MENTION I REDESIGNED FEATHERS’ CAPE OOPS.. I thought the original was a little too plain and I wanted to make it the tiniest bit more obvious what bird he’s somewhat supposed to resemble. Idk if it’s really obvious still but it’s a sparrow
🪹Nestling Phase: You start with a casual interest, peeking out of your cozy comfort zone to notice the birds around you.
🐤Fledgling Feats: You spread your wings, equipped with binoculars and guidebooks, ready to explore new habitats and spot diverse species.
🐦⬛Perching Proficiency: Your skills sharpen as you learn to identify birds by their calls, habits, and plumage, and feel a sense of accomplishment with each new sighting.
🦅Masterful Migration: Finally, you soar confidently, traversing landscapes near and far, sharing your passion with others. In the end, the true joy of birding lies in the journey itself—every chirp, flutter, and waddle along the way.
Hey does anybody know what it means when a hooded crow lowers its head like this, real low gargoyle style, and caws four times?
Because whatever that was, another crow immediately swooped in and started smacking the shit out of that one with kicking and wing slaps. They both calmed down a few seconds later and didn't peck at each other so I think it was just the kind of a "say dumb shit like that again and I will beat your ass for real" warning shot skirmish.
I assume that the fight wasn't serious also because the defeated bird (who had been the one who was attacked) didn't fly to escape but just kind of casually walked off, while the attacker stayed behind, making one or two of the same kind of head-lowered-caws like "yeah you better fucking walk away bitch."
This took about 30 or 40 seconds altogether, but while I have no idea what I witnessed, I thoroughly enjoyed my less than a minute of bird drama.
