Ok so I can't believe that as an adult I have to lecture other adults on how to behave on this site. But here we go......

Y'all remember the golden rule right?? Treat others as you want to be treated? This is something we are taught as children, usually around the ages of 3, 4, and 5 years old. So why are some of you (who I assume are NOT 3, 4, or 5 years old) pushing your negativity towards an author who has done nothing but put their soul into their works for our entertainment? FOR FREE I MIGHT ADD?!! Why do you feel the need to bash someone who wrote something because it's not the way you wanted it to go? Guess what, it's not your fucking story! You want to write a fairytale that ends with the characters living happily ever after and it's all rainbows and sunshine? Great!! Do it. But that's not life. Real life is painful and messy and we make mistakes. None of us are perfect. So instead of criticizing an author who is devoting their free time to giving us these masterpieces, how about you just don't click on the post? How about you just keep scrolling past them and keep your bullshit opinions to yourself? Remember that there is a person behind every post you read and they have feelings too. Remember that even if you post something anonymously, words hurt. Words cause damage that can seriously undermine another person's spirit. This world and life are hard enough without us bashing and hurting each other. This world will only work if we all work together and treat each other with respect.

You don't have to like the author's works or agree with them, but you need to show them respect.

To my favorite authors, you all are amazing. Keep your heads up and keep those amazing fics coming. The real ones will love and support you no matter what.

And one more thing, if you disagree or would like to have a chat about what I posted, my inbox is always open. But remember, if you act like a child, I am more than happy to treat you like a child.

I have a Fic request for KimChay

So like many of us on this platform I got pulled (mostly willingly) into the just absolute wonder that is KinnPorsche The Series, and we can talk later about the full effects of that in a different post, because this one has a point I SWEAR!

In addition to watching the series I have been reading multiple fanfics, and while I love all of the couples, I'm really digging KimChay right now, because to be honest Jeff is just the textbook description of attractive, and Barcode as Porchay is just Sunshine in human form and I mean, how could I resist???

So I have a fic request? suggestion? inspiration? IDK, but what I really want is a fic (long, short, multi-chapter, one-shot, IDC) where Kim teaches/trains Chay in self defense, and it turns spicy maybe?. Now I have a lot of ideas for this, that I'll outline in a minute, but I'm asking for this solely because I HAVE NO IDEA how to write it myself. I don't have enough knowledge or experience with martial arts of any description to do this well, and so I simply can't, but if this creates a little plot bunny for you please for the love of Kinn's half-open shirt follow that bunny wherever they take you. For me? Please?

Now onto ideas:

For one-shot or short, there's really not much more context beyond Chay sunshines Kim into teaching him basic self-defense, and so he finally does and we get a scene of the training and it's either adorable/hilarious or v serious but suddenly very hot...or both. For the humor aspect the vibe that I'm seeing is a bit like Julien trying to teach Jenna Jiu Jitsu (part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkvTpmQ7M48 and part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=In7FBG6rPw0 ). Like, there's some seriousness attempted, but also Chay makes Kim laugh too much, so it just devolves into absolute insanity. For serious, I mean...reference any Kinn Porsche fight scene and adjust for personality and skill level. Bonus points for a bonus scene of Tankhun watching it on the CCTV with his bodyguards (Pete included) like it's one of his dramas.

For longer form, this could be accurate to current show canon (haven't finished the novel yet so I don't all of the context there) or AU-ish, that can be up to you.

-Chay goes to Pete, or if we're going AU, Big or Chan and asks them to train him, and they eventually give in because we've all seen Porchay's face. I think that Porsche would say no to Chay learning self-defense (or fighting) because he's always going to be there to protect him historical canon evidence be damned, and really Kim would be on that same wagon so. But you could also go with Chay doesn't even try asking Kim or Porsche first, he just assumes they would say no.

-He either keeps it a secret or not, base this around how much you would want to see him progress I guess, because I think it would alter the context for when Kim takes over. For example if we go for, it's not a secret so Kim essentially shows up for the first lesson and can't stand seeing another man's hands on Chay regardless of the context and takes over. If he keeps it a secret, I do think it could be fun for him to become fairly proficient, and actually hold his own a little bit against Kim, especially since we know Kim would hold back a little.

-Also, I think if Pete or Chan were Chay's first teacher, they would teach him a trick that might help him get Kim by surprise, at least once.

-Extra credit: Any and all Tankhun reactions to the general goings on, because of course. High levels of banter, both sarcastic and sweet. Porsche finding out about his training by accident and being mad for really no reason, but just because Porsche is an over-protective doofus who would seemingly rather throw himself into danger before seeing Porchay or Kinn break a sweat. Any and all humorous inclusions of Vegas just snarking on everyone. Maybe Macau joins the class too, so that Chay has a sparring buddy?

Also, there's no specified rating I'd be looking for, but I do think if it's in your comfort zone some close combat training could turn pretty sensual pretty quickly as the entire KinnPorsche series has shown.

I generally read most fics on AO3, so if you have an account there and you post there, just let me know. You could post it here if that's more your style. I also do occasionally read on FF.net and Wattpad. But seriously, if this post inspired you and you write something PLEASE let me know!!! I want to read this fic so bad. I'm now going to proceed to tag the everloving heck out of this post in the hopes that it finds ANYONE who may want to write it.

Wooo chapter 1 rewrite is complete!

Real talk? Real talk, let’s go.

I have horrible imposter syndrome. I’ll write something, think it’s okay, then go back and reread it and suddenly it’s horrible and I’ve never seen anything worse. I’ll see other writers or read their works (which are AMAZING) and start to feel like I’ll never be that good so I kind of just…give up. At 30 years old it still hits, and learning to work around that and not listen to the little voice that says, “you suck!” Is definitely a process. I’ll find myself altering things I’ve written because I don’t think it will be received well… that people won’t like it… and when that sets in I forget the most important person I write for:

Me.

Fanfiction came into my life as a young teenager with a lot of hurt. Being able to dive into worlds I already loved and play in them saved me in a lot of ways. Being able to write and add to a community that did all that for me has been an incredible journey.

Okay, enough with the sappy! Having a place to dump all my writer-feels has been really cool. Now the question is, do I release chapter one now because I’m impatient or do I wait and do the 1-5 rerelease like I planned?

Oh, readers. I wish I had news of a new chapter of Crazy Faith, but I don’t yet. Yet. We are moving through the final part of my husband’s brain cancer treatment, which is chemo, and that will be over in late October. He is doing remarkably well, but that is his way. He is such a warrior.

The week after my husband finished 28 radiation treatments, my Dad died very suddenly of a heart attack in February, with no previous indicators that this could happen. He had a lung condition from agent orange exposure in Vietnam, but no cardiac problems that we ever knew about. It was a massive and horrible thing that hit like a freight train. We are all still reeling from it, and the last three months have been a roller coaster to say the least. Because it wasn’t enough already, you know? My family and I have spent a lot of time helping my mom sort out affairs, I arranged the funeral since he was buried where I live and had to be transported, it’s been… I don’t have a word. The year isn’t half over and I’m already tapped. Honestly I’d really love to take a whole week, lock myself in a hotel alone, and write like four chapters, but I’m not sure it would happen. My brain just is so very tired and won’t enter FicMode yet. I try. I reread parts of CF to try and get things flowing, but then I cry when I read about Munro’s death. I won’t always. I will finish this damn story one day.

My Dad took me to see Last of the Mohicans in 1992. My Dad gave me my first longrifle. This is basically because of him. So I will finish it. I WANT to finish it! I just don’t know when. I’m sorry, y’all.

Day 2 of Figuring out Tumblr. (+a few inquiries)

Ok, so. I figured out how to post. I think I’ve come up with a few cool ideas of things I can post to add to the experience of my books. (ex. lists of songs I vibe to while writing, tiny edited videos of incoming chaos in upcoming chapters, etc.)

Should I post deleted parts of my book on here? I often find myself adding and removing parts of my chapters before finalizing them. 💀 I always feel like I shouldn’t delete things, so I just hold on to them in hopes of using them in a later chapter... or in another book. What do you think?

I aim to understand tags on here at some point. I’m assuming they work like Instagram's, but I don’t really know which ones are relevant for these blurbs of thought. We’ll get there when we get there.

The second simplest, just copy+past your story URL and choose your output filetype.

After you click EXPORT you get a chance to double check that all the fic info is correct and choose your file type.

And TA-DA! A beautiful PDF.

NOTE: Sometimes the server is overwhelmed and it will not process your request. Don't panic, just try again in about 10 minutes.
