Jackie maybe you need to consider going to another country before the UK since that's looking like a huge obstacle at the moment. We need information on how to get to the UK safely but we also need blue and Jameson to understand their magic a bit more as well. I don't like the odds of all these different magicians laws and registrations but we need to make headway somewhere even if it starts with whatever bald eagle magician group the us may have.

Collectors

One thing that I immediately hit me, about Zira and Crowley, is something I have in common with them (because for nature, human beings shows this penchant towards grasping those little things they have in common, they share, with others, more than what divide them...alas for so little time before starting cutting heads, torturing people and bombing cities...right, Crowley?): they keep things.

In Zira’s case, hundreds of books, hundreds and hundreds piled in his wharehou...bookshop.

Horror vacui. Sort of reaction to Heaven’s empty spaces, huge, cold, wide, colourless, bare - his crowded, little, warm, stuffed, coloured shop, is literally flooded with books. Not many objects of value, apart from a couple I still have to identify...the real value here is the books. Books are “material items” (Gabriel’s words...take notice), but they are much more than that: they are knowledge, history, progress. Fall and Rise of Humanity. Bet Angels don’t have any book. They don’t need, they have no memories to keep, no progress, no questions.

But Humanity?

Books are literally the only evidence that history had been developing, otherwise we could has well still be stuck into 4004 BC, like Angels. Angels have no past, no future, not even present. They have a purpose, coming from that One War. Same as Demons: “We are the Fallen, never forget that” says Hastur to Crowley.

There’s nothing else to remember, they ARE the memory.

But Humanity?

Zira keeps trace of the past, for the future, in his everlasting present, where everything, even himself, seems stuck in the same timeline. A perennial Alexandria library, keeping everything.

I used to be like that.

Keep everything that might be valuable, that might have a sense.

Not Crowley.

Oh, I love Crowley style! Bare, neat, grey concrete. Empty rooms. Very few items, carefully placed, carefully lighted. Carefully chosen.

You know, when you have to keep the least, that’s when you learn to choose.

TO CHOOSE.

Not everything owns the same value. Not everything deserves to be kept. Not when you’re a six millenniums supernatural entity who’s flown through time, space, places, lands, folks.

It’s up to you to decide, here and know, what’s valuable for you.

Not every book Zira…not every first edition in every print.

Choose Zira, what would you keep, what would you save, if the bookshop would be burning, and you could take just one?

Would you take a book? Or would you take someone? What, whom, would you choose?

Crowley owns very few, carefully chosen items.

The church eagle, when he definitely crossed every line. And when maybe he understood that it was worth the effort.

A safe, for Holy Water. His insurance. Zira’s heart.

And then the everyday-use items….but this is Crowley, so nothing can be “everyday-style”: I’m just beginning my quest.

I just adore the fact that he owns so very few things, which gives even more weight to their hidden meaning. They are actually so few, that they MUST mean something to Crowley.

Up to now, three items have bumped into my attention.

While about the first and second one I’m still figuring out whatthell is he trying to say with (a Horus statue and a possibly ancient vase, maybe metal, possibly connected to Egypt too, cause you know….serpents, holiest symbols, worshipped like gods….), I guess I’ve found the third.

About Sir Stamford Raffles (1781-1826)

I am not a History student (that’s for you @drawlight) so I’m still digging through documents, in order to understand if this Lord Raffles was a monster, like some says, or a patron, like others say.

Anyway, this throne dates back to a period settled between the rescue of Zira from France, and their meeting in St. James Park. And we know that Crowly slept for the most part of XIX century (apart from 1832). Why especially THIS specific throne, which is a perfect replica of a specific throne (or maybe the same?!), and not some other, I still have to figure out.

Help well accepted. Oh yes, have to find out also the origin for the second chair.

As for Horus and the vase, I’m keeping the search, but I guess we’re going back to a time settled between Mesopotamia and Golgotha.

And no, before you ask, I’ve found no proof of their presence anywhere else before: so, it must be something entirely Crowley’s, like the angels and the Mona Lisa…

KAYAKING TO SINGAPORE'S SOUTHERN ISLANDS

11 November 2021

While scrolling through facebook to look for events to join, i stumbled upon kayakasia's event to St John's Island and Pulau Tekukor.

I thought for a while if i should do it as i havent kayaked for 7 years. But i didnt want to bum around, so I signed up only a few days before the event and was accepted after paying $115. I was over the moon! I couldn't wait for it and started packing my bag 3 days before the event!

What's in my bag:

- rain jacket

- 1 litre bottle

- handphone waterproof sleeve

- change of clothes

- slippers

- toiletries

- foldable cup (cauz they serve beverages and breakfast!)

I forgot to bring my towel. Lol.

I woke at 6.30am to travel to sentosa. We had to be punctual and reach by 730am.

The event organizers assigned me to another stranger (double kayak) and gave a safety briefing.

They also asked if anyone was kayaking for the first time in their lives. There were 2 guys who raised their hands. I was surprised that they allowed people with no experience to join on a sea kayaking trip.

They allowed us to put our belongings in the truck while we brought our neccesities along with us.

The weather was amazing - no rain and not so sunny.

All was well until we went through what they called "the washing machine". It's where different currents clash against each other and create turbulent waves. It was very fun to be honest. However, it scared some people actually. the 2 guys drifted off in a perpendicular fashion. While 2 couples were racing each other.

I was laughing at the hilarity and just calming myself down. I did my best to paddle through continuously. I kept telling myself "i worked my arms for this!" Cauz i had been doing arm workouts for weeks.

We reached St John's and had a short tour around. We saw an eagle's nest. We ate some edible tree seed pods. And then we had a healthy breakfast prepared by the organizers.

Afterwards we paddled towards Pulau Tekukor. I've never been on that island before and was so thrilled to be there! The organizer hacked a coconut (which tasted like turnip) that was on the beach while we swam. The currents were actually quite strong. I stayed stationary in one location while swimming cauz i didnt have the strength to swim against the current. But anyway, the shore was so shallow. Even when we were 30metres out, our feet could still touch the seabed.

I felt sad when we had to paddle back to sentosa cauz it was honestly so fun. We were only out a total of 4hours. Time flew because everyone there were so nice to talk to.

I loved this adventure and would totally do it again if there were cheaper options. I do understand it might be pricey due to the equipment, maintenance of equipment and also the breakfast. Not forgetting the guides who do this for a living! Really appreciate how safe and assuring they were.

Things to note:

- Apparently you can sign up pretty last minute as long as they have enough kayaks.

- you can request for a single kayak if you have the certified stars.

- they allow you to bring your dogs! But you must have your own dog floatation device. And probably can't bring too huge/heavy dogs.

- sunblock, a hat, long sleeves and leggings are your friends. When the sun is out and shining at you from an angle, you'll be thankful you have enough coverage.

- bring a water proof bag into the kayak. Common sense.

- if you have a fear of drowning or huge waves, please don't go.
