The Cabal (Earth-4339)
Tumblr media
Here’s another part of the Oliverse I’ve been working on: the twisted versions of its heroes and villains known simply as The Cabal.
This version of The Cabal reside in the dystopian universe of Earth-4339, a dark parrallel universe to the Oliverse created by an catastrophic event known as the “Midtown Massacre” that took the lives of several innocent civilains and heroes in New York, spurring the Oliver Osnick of this universe, corrupted by a powerful relic called the Siege Perilous, to prevent any criminal or terrorist activity before it happens. A goal he plans to see through with the aid of his Perennial Army (Symbiote/Cybernetic-Hybrids) and his inner circle of those who either agree his views or side with him out of fear for their survival.
Members of the Cabal:
Oliver Osnick/Cadaverous
Jane Lane/Blight
Peter Parker/Carnage
Charlotte Witter/Spider-Slayer
Quentin Beck/Mysterio
Elias Wirtham/Supercharger
Lily Hollister/Demogoblin

Mild ramble:
I recall seeing this blog before I joined and haven't seen anything from it (haven't opened tumblr in a bit.) To say it was a shock to see toxicity in the discord server was interesting, especially with the thing with sabo and the other person, the entire thing with eriseda/disconsolate/cadaverous, feeling "validated" with the weird vibes from demigodandroid, etc etc.
Makes me question some things as I've seen cadaverous around the server.
Same with NebuRin. Thought it was weird he came back around MM time and asking for more RR goats or something? Doesn't he have enough of them?

“I’ve never really liked looking normal, and I’ve always liked a faintly bleached-out look, so I was really happy about the way the cameraman lit me as Morticia. The makeup was very intense. I had stickers attached to my temples; rubber bands that met behind my head and then on top of that the wig, fake nails and eyelashes and the corset – individually they add up to something monumental. It was hard to move. There were certain things one could do with one’s hands but that was about it. Fortunately, I wanted to keep Morticia very iconic and still. She’s not fractious at all. She’s very settled in her body language. I had a bonfire of the vanities at the end of the movie where I took all the fake stuff, made a pile and set it on fire.”
Get the look! In the countdown to Halloween, here’s the fabulous Anjelica Huston’s behind-the-scenes breakdown for The Guardian newspaper in 2018 of how she was transformed into Morticia for The Addams Family (1991) and Addams Family Values (1993). The process she describes with rubber bands stretching her face taut was a commonplace old showbiz trick employed by the likes of Marlene Dietrich, Lucille Ball, Barbara Stanwyck and Eva Gabor in Green Acres. Apparently, it was painful and gave Huston headaches – but the results were worth it!

Marvel Studios’ The Superior Spider-Man
Tumblr media
This has been a crazy idea in my head for a while.
Basically it was what I initially thought we would get in No Way Home when Doc Ock was returning, and then after watching Moon Knight and reading the recent End of Spider-Verse comic storyline, it kept bugging at so I decided to do this piece.
Basically it would be if Doc Ock had been transported to the MCU after Spider-Man 2.
[In this headcanon, Doc Ock’s normal body and mind was so broken after the multiversal travel, that he was on the edge of committing suicide until he was stopped by the Spider-Goddess, Neith.
In this moment, Neith offered Otto the chance to live if he would protect and aid this world’s Spider-Man. Otto agrees, and his mind is transferred from his own into the mind of a young Peter Parker, now acting as a guardian angel of sorts, but remaining hidden to Peter all these years.
Flash forward to this timeline’s Far From Home aftermath, Peter starts to have moments of sleep deprivation and memory loss, which is affecting his relationships with Aunt May, MJ, and Ned.
Eventually, after a close encounter with the main villain of this story, Peter discovers Otto’s existence in his mind and the two form an unlikely alliance along with Peter’s friends and Otto’s apprentice: Peter’s old classmate Cindy Moon, who is revealed to also have Spider-Powers.
The unlikely band of heroes, along with Neith, must then prevent the villain Cadaverous - a former Spider-Totem who went rogue and gained the powers of Chaos Magic thanks to a relic called the Siege Perilous - from unleashing the Wasp Goddess, Shathra to “purify” the multiverse of its poison: the Spider Totems.
I know it’s a silly headcanon idea, and that it’s basically just Moon Knight with Marc/Steven/Jake swapped out for Peter/Otto/Ben, but I figured I’d get it out there just for those who feel disappointed we never got to see the Superior Spider-Man storyline adapted on screen.
Plus, looking at it this way, not only would it have been a interesting take on the MCU’s Spider-Man 3, but it also would be a good way to merge the comic origins of certain characters (Cindy Moon, Ben Reilly, Neith, & Shathra) into the main Superior Spider-Man storyline to give it more character and story depth.
But again this is just a headcanon, so don’t expect their gonna adapt it anytime soon.
And before I forget, here’s the character roster for this headcanon. (Left to Right)
Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus
Ned Leeds/Archimage
Cindy Moon/Silk
Michelle Jones Watson/Iron Spider
Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Otto Octavius/Superior Spider-Man
Ben Reilly/Scarlet Spider
Neith
Evelyn Strum/Madame Swarm
Oliver Octavius/Cadverous
Shathra
Let me know what you guys think! Hope you like it!

"Vampira was the first exaggerated woman I ever yearned to meet. As a child, she never looked scary to me; I thought she was pretty." John Waters In Memoriam: the fabulous Finnish American actress and pin-up model Maila Nurmi (11 December 1922 – 10 January 2008) – better known as cadaverous wraith cheek-boned 1950s horror movie hostess, leading lady of Ed Wood Jr’s Plan 9 from Outer Space (1959) and pop culture sensation Vampira – died on this day. Pictured: a 1955 portrait of Nurmi sans her trademark long raven wig. Just how did she acquire this extreme coiffure that anticipates punk by a good two decades? A 1950s gossip magazine posits that Nurmi’s own hair was “singed-off” in a beauty parlour mishap. Perhaps more realistically, in her 2020 biography Glamour Ghoul: The Passions and Pain of the Real Vampira, Nurmi’s niece Sandra Niemi explains that the tormented and fragile Nurmi would sometimes chop her hair off during bouts of depression. Either way, the results were fierce! As Nurmi herself put it, "Beauty can be yours even if you're bald.”  Light a black candle (or at least don a black t-shirt!) and crank up the 1981 song “Vampira” by The Misfits LOUD today in tribute!
