Trying to come up with ships to give you other than Killugon ummmmm Setsu/protag, Raqio/Remnan, Pariging, Tsumuhoma, Azuguy, and/or a Dunmeshi ship of your choice. For the chart :P

I’m going to be honest a lot of these placements are prettyyyyy arbitrary but anyway!!

Killugon: The amount of gay subtext between them is crazy. Maybe the fact I don’t think Gon returns Killua’s feelings yet in what we have currently of canon means they should be shifted a bit to the right. Unfortunately, I am biased. And scenes like “it has to be Killua!” make me hope for the future. I could write an essay about them. Their insanities make me insane. 10/10

Setsu/Protag: They’re probably only so high because of recency bias but you know what? This is about what compels me. Right now. And I am soooo in love with Setsu and their crazy time loop shenanigans. So much of the story is dependent on how much they love each other which makes me think it makes sooo much sense. Shifted it to the right a bit, though, because despite some of the most pivotal moments in the story being based on the player/protagonist loving Setsu, not every player will love them like I do ESPECIALLY SINCE THEY’RE NOT EVEN ONE OF THE DEVS’ FAVOURITES??? Anyway I think that not loving Setsu is tragic, bad taste, a skill issue, etc. /j

Raqio/Remnan: I didn’t even realize this was a ship before I went onto Ao3. Like I guess I can understand why people ship it, but nothing in canon makes it feel romantic to me... Also, I can’t believe that Remnan is canonically only attracted to women... I’m sorry Raqio. I don’t really actively dislike it or anything though this ship just kinda makes me feel nothing, unfortunately. </3

Pariging: THE FUNNIEST EVERRRR unfortunately I’m not SUPER insane about them, though, and being funny can only carry you so far. Plus, they really only have One Scene so I feel like I can’t put them much higher on the “makes sense” section. </3

Tsumuhoma: One of my favourite fuyu ships and it’s all your fault. They’re not higher on the “makes sense” section mostly because they don’t interact nearly as much as I want them to despite being in the same troupe and their best interactions are in a time gated event... </3 That event was SUPER compelling for them to me though. Unfortunately, I’m less into A3! stuff in general now so they are. Where they are right now.

Azuguy: Okay I really like Azuguy and they’re really tender and sweet with each other and they just have those gentle vibes to them and they also get to have a lot of interactions because they are roommates... I feel like a lot of the attachment I had for them has faded with my memory, though... What not reading any new A3! content in over a year does to someone, I guess. :( I think I would actually put them a bit higher but then they would cover Pariging (which maybe Pariging deserves).

Omi: Aah, that one is… Misumi: I finished mine too! Yuki: Your classic Mr. Triangle? Kazunari: There are too many instablammable shaved ices to take photos of! Izumi: Fufu. It’s a unique set of masterpieces. Kazunari: Hey, can we use these sweets too? Izumi: Mhm. I thought they might work well as toppings. Kazunari: Huh? There are marshmallows here. Izumi: Those are Hisoka’s marshmallows. We shouldn’t use them. Tasuku: I think those will be alright. There are more of them, after all. Tsumugi: Now that I notice it, Hisoka-kun isn’t here. Homare: Hisoka-kun might be resting in Azuma-san and Guy-san’s room because of the heat. Kazunari: Why in AzuGuy’s room? Homare: According to Hisoka-kun, their room is the coolest one. Tsumugi: Maybe it’s because of the recent hot days that he has been shutting himself in, except at night for his bartender job… Homare: I’ve told him that taking sunlight once in a while is good for him, but nothing. Homare: He won’t listen to me because the heat could melt him. Banri: That’s like a vampire… or better said, he is now a marshmallow. Izumi: But shaved ice refreshes you. I will go call him.

Izumi: Hisoka-san. Izumi: (The air is nice and cool here, and there’s a subtle fragrance too…) Izumi: (And Hisoka-san is… oh, he’s there.) Hisoka: Zzz… Izumi: (Fufu. He’s sound asleep hugging Pen Pen.) Izumi: It feels so comfortable… Izumi: (Now I feel bad about waking him up…) Hisoka: … Izumi: (I’ve always wondered… if his bangs don’t bother him.) Izumi: (It feels hotter when your hair hangs on like that…) Hisoka: …What’s wrong? Izumi: Woah, you surprised me…! Were you awake? Hisoka: …I just woke up. You keep staring at my face, Director. Izumi: Ahmm… Izumi: (But he might have a reason to leave his bangs long, maybe even for style…)

Choose 1: Nothing.

Izumi: …It’s nothing. Hisoka: …I see. Izumi: This room is refreshing and pleasant. Hisoka: Mhm, it’s comfortable. The temperature is a bit lower, and my favorite incense is burning when I come. Izumi: (That’s too perfect…! It’s also Azuma-san and Guy-san’s fault that Hisoka-san doesn’t want to go out…)

Choose 2: I thought you were so comfy.

Izumi: I thought you seemed so comfortable like that. Hisoka: How about napping with me, Director? Izumi: I might not be able to fall asleep at night if I sleep now. Hisoka: I will keep you company if that happens. Izumi: Fufu. You would fall asleep first, Hisoka-san.

Hisoka: …Right, why did you come here? Do you need anything from me? Izumi: Yeah, I wanted to ask if you would like to join us in the garden, making and eating shaved ice together. Hisoka: … Hisoka: …Zzz. Izumi: (That’s an obvious answer…!) Izumi: I know it's hot outside, but shaved ice can refresh you, and it’s super fun to make them and eat them with everyone, don’t you think? Hisoka: …Zzz. Izumi: We have marshmallows for the toppings too! Hisoka: …I want. Izumi: (Nothing beats having marshmallows with you, huh.)

Tsuzuru: He wants three people for it. Banri and I will help, but we need someone else. Kumon: Banri serves as two. Isn’t that enough? Banri: What kind of logic is that? Hisoka: … Chikage: Did you try asking this guy? Hisoka: Chikage, shut up. Tsuzuru: It's next Sunday… are you available, Hisoka-san? Hisoka: …I’m free. Tsuzuru: Really~?! That’s good~! Hisoka: My fee is marshmallows for a week. Tsuzuru: How much are marshmallows for a week? Maybe I can make it with my part-time job pay… Chikage: Don’t be so immature. He’s a college student. Tsuzuru: Sure. How about you, Mikage-san? Hisoka: …I won’t go. I’m tired.

Hisoka: Shaved ice is cold, but I still feel hot… Hisoka: I should have gone swimming… Izumi LIME: Good job on your work. Make sure to hydrate during your break. Hisoka LIME: I’m eating shaved ice. Does it count as hydrating myself? Hisoka: (Should I tell her we finished our work?) Boy: …It will melt if you don’t hurry up and eat it. Hisoka: …? Hisoka: (...He’s right. I didn’t notice when it started to melt.) Hisoka: (Sigh… Somehow, I suddenly felt hot again…) Hisoka: …Do you want to eat it? It’s almost melted, though. Boy: Are you sure?! Hisoka: Yes, here. From his home lines, we know that Azuma hates bugs. I’d like to imagine that when he was in his room alone and a bug friend came along he would kinda freeze and lock eyes with the little critter. While keeping eyes on it, he calls over one of the winter troupe members (it usually ends up being Tasuku{sometimes Tsuzuru and Omi automatically walk on over because they’re used to ‘bug removal duty’}), and they have to scoot the bug onto a piece of paper and let it go outside. A few weeks after Guy shows up, Azu kinda just leans over and lightly tugs on his sleeve to let him know there’s a leggy critter. (Guy doesn’t mind insects all that much, and it freaks out Azuma every time Guy holds one in his hand when he can’t find paper)

I was going to also comment this under your Tsumuhoma post but technically this ain’t about them. But as great as the main Winter Poly ships (TsumuTasu, HisoHoma, AzuGuy) are there’s some REALLY fun dynamics with everyone that also end up reflecting well on what everybody’s like in a relationship? Like. Tasuku has the funniest fucking dynamics with all 5 of these guys in completely different ways and in turn it says SO much about him as a character. Tsumugi is also very caring and kind about all 5 (I’m lacking the words for it right now because I can’t think but something about how you can Absolutely tell he majored in psychology in the way he approaches some of them and their traumas) which shows what he’s like as a character. It’s like. They’re all so, so so close with each other as a group and as you analyze all their dynamics you can also use that as a way to analyze what they’re like individually. I’ve also been really fond of HisoGuy recently thanks to a friend of mine so shoutout to him

YEAH EXACTLYYY I'm a known Fuyupoly enjoyer and part of the reason they work so well as a WHOLE GROUP both platonically and romantically is because each individual dynamic has its own flavor and differences in how they interact! The whole group is one whole, but their differences in how they approach each other are so good and distinctive!!!

AND LIKE YOU SAID TASUKU IS SO FUNNY WITH ALL OF THEM. And Tsumugi does so much for all of them--I think it reflects both his psychology knowledge but also how he's grown into his leader role since the start of the game!! Azuma treats all of them differently too, like I don't think Nocturnality could've happened with anyone but Tasuku... but all the rest of them help him in their own, separate ways that Tasuku can't!! Or how Homare and Tasuku are such a comedy duo, and both of them end up caring for Hisoka in completely different ways but their care and affection for Hisoka shines through... And Guy does this too with Hisoka, esp since Hisoka is working at Journey now, spending so much time with Guy!!

Shout out to all the little individual dynamics that make them such a great troupe for reallllll A3 is so good at character dynamics and variety and making ALL of them so compelling

How I feel about this character

He is a character that I grew fond of while reading episode 8 of act 2. He's a pretty unique character, and I enjoy seeing him on screen and reading his backstage stories. I also really like his voice, it's very nice.

On top of that, all the songs Guy sings in are fantastic. Unmask? Fantastic. Dokkoudou? Phenomenal. Yoi no Mikazuki? Outstanding. Continuation of the Grand Stay? Defragmentation? Bokura no Kisetsu??

You get the idea.

See?? No bad Guy songs. He has so much power.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

I think that AzuGuy sounds nice. Or HisoAzuGuy. Or just the good ol' fuyupoly.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Either Citron or Tasuku. Both of them have a very interesting dynamic with him. On top of that, both of them make hilarious combos.

My unpopular opinion about this character

I don't think this counts as an unpopular opinion, but during the flashbacks he had during episode 8, I remember that Guy's father had the same voice actor as Yuzo and for some reason I thought it was Yuzo himself and I never questioned it until a few weeks after I finished reading act 2.

One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon

I'd like to see Guy teaching one of the young ones to drive. You know, the classic "father figure teacher kid how to drive" plot. I think that'd be pretty cute.

Tsuzuru

How I feel about this character

I've come to love Tsuzuru a lot more recently. A few weeks ago, he was just meh to me, but now I really like him a lot. He's the most accurate representation of a writer I've ever seen.

He's also a very funny man. I appreciate him.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

I think that TsuzuKazu is very neat. I don't really ship it as much as my other main ships like TenSaku or KyuYuki, but I enjoy the content.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Definitely Citron. I love their dynamic, and they always put a smile on my face.

My unpopular opinion about this character

I don't know how much of an unpopular opinion this is, but Tsuzuru needs glasses. 1. He stares at a laptop for a week straight at least once every 2 months and 2. He would look great with glasses. And I really doubt he takes care of his eyesight in any way.

One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon

I really think that Tsuzuru's habit of overworking himself for scripts should be adressed more seriously. I know it's a running gag at this point, but that is not healthy and it sometimes makes me feel genuinely bad for him.

Give me a character and I'll break their ass down
