Fantastic surprise today! The new Redd Kross album went up for pre-order, announced a summer tour, and they released a new video today! They’ve been my favorite American band for quite some time now. Also looking forward to the book about them that’s coming out in the fall and hopefully eventually seeing the documentary that making the rounds at film festivals!

More fast food headcanons because why the hell not, mostly based off of things I've seen irl lol

Hiccup was not allowed to bring food to parked cars at all when he first started working. He was too clumsy and constantly tripped on the curb

Astrid will flip customers off without hesitation, but only customers who truly deserve it. So far, she has only flipped off about a dozen total customers

Snotlout will bring in homemade baked goods every weekend for everyone working to have. Very rarely are there even crumbs by the end of the first shift with the snacks. He definitely gets in trouble first trying to flirt with everyone

Fishlegs dropped an entire container of oreo mix into a shake machine, he was panicking that he would be fired, but hiccup and gobber reassured him that he would be fine. It was very early into him working there, now he is more confident in himself and makes sure to move the oreo mix before filling the shake machine.

Tuffnut, either purposely or on accident (nobody really knows), dropped a bit of ice into a fryer when he "tripped." He is no longer allowed to handle ice. How he hasn't gotten fired, nobody knows.

Ruffnut will secretly try to break stuff in order to get hiccup to fix it because she likes listening to his stories he tells while fixing stuff. She's the one who tripped tuffnut as revenge for him burning her nuggets, the cameras somehow didn't catch that.

Sweet September’s Jungkook Posts His Cover of The Beatles’ Song, Her Majesty

Last night, the lead vocalist of Sweet September shared a thirty-second song cover on his Instagram account. The said video only shows Jungkook wearing a white button-up while playing an acoustic guitar in what his fans claim is his kitchen. Within just twelve hours, the video reached almost twenty million views and was posted on various social media sites by his supporters. Some fans claimed that the song was meant for someone *royal*.

In the clip captioned with a crown and yellow heart emojis, Jungkook sang The Beatles’ Her Majesty. The song was a hidden track in the band’s eleventh album, Abbey Road. 

Earlier this year, fans noticed the attendance Princess YN of Zafiro made at two of Sweet September’s concerts during their Denim Jungle tour. In the first one, she was seen with her sister, Princess Astrid. For the second one, the crown princess was spotted by a few fans in the band’s performance in New York just a day after the Met Gala. She was said to be seen wearing a particular ID only given to staff and special guests.

Many sources told E! News that there are sightings of the princess and the rockstar together in various places.

“I saw Jungkook approach Princess YN during the Met Gala.” an anonymous Twitter user posted. “He stayed and chatted with her until she left with her assistant.”

Another source stated, “Although Princess YN and Jungkook are both busy with their different lives, they really try to make time for each other. He (Jungkook) liked the princess before he even met her, That’s why he really took the chance when he saw it.”

It’s no secret to Sweet September fans that the lead vocalist has his eyes set on Princess YN. It was revealed years ago when each band member was asked about their ideal type and celebrity crushes.

“Oh, mine is totally not from the entertainment industry.” a nineteen-year-old Jungkook answered.

“Yeah, JK. We all know it’s Princess YN–” Mingyu was then cut off by Jungkook’s forced coughs.

Back to the song cover, Jungkook can be seen smiling as he sang the lyrics. He even smiled wider while singing the last line,

“Someday I'm gonna make her mine, oh yeah. Someday I'm gonna make her mine.”

The rumor between you and Jungkook was still new and growing when the song cover was posted. Various articles were later posted from numerous media sites with the same rumor topic. It’s a piece of surprising news for everyone since it involves a royal princess and a famous rockstar. With this, supporters of Jungkook’s and yours had mixed reactions to the ongoing rumor.

I'm sorry this took me forever to get to. I couldn't think of a perfect answer, and wanted one that was perfect. Apparently the only way to get that answer is to be awake since 2 am. Here we go!

Hiccup: Hiccup would sigh, roll his eyes, and say the most rude, sarcastic things ever to the Karen to get them to shut up. Sometimes they do shut up. Other times they ask for the manager.

Astrid: Astrid grins and bears it (quite literally, with a fake smile), until she can't anymore, and then goes to get the manager herself.

Ruffnut: Ruffnut would probably start flirting with a Karen just to them off their game. It would work 100%, but Ruffnut would get in trouble because the person leaves without purchasing anything.

Tuffnut: Tuffnut just starts speaking another language and hopes they don't know what he's saying. This leaves the Karen flustered. They still get what they ordered, but they don't know a single thing that was said to them.

Snotlout: Snotlout would probably laugh and go get Hiccup. Either that or he would stop and wonder if he's a Karen or if his dad is. Maybe both.

Fishlegs: Poor Fishlegs would meet the Karen's every demand out of shock and terror. Hopefully one of his friends can help him.

Barbie was so good?!? Fucking loved every minute of it, but special shout-out to some things...

This movie was so funny, I can't get over how fucking funny and camp it was, an actual masterpiece 11/10

"This movie is overly feminist and man-hating" - THIS MOVIE AIN'T FOR YOU, SHUT THE FUCK UP AND GO WATCH THE SHITTY FLASH MOVIE THEN IF YOU'RE SO MAD

(haven't actually seen the flash, have seen a few clips on twitter and i'm glad i haven't, i don't want to, don't @ me)

I'll be honest, I had very few Barbie dolls growing up, I had a medium sized doll house that was not for Barbie-height-toys, and so most of my toys were random figurines collected over the years (shout-out to the McDonald's Happy Meal Narnia toys!), but I was still getting pumped at the beginning of this film when the narrator went into detail about how Barbie can have any career, any life she wants etc.

The attention to detail in Barbie-land, like the pools/sea are all flat and not actually wet, there’s no actual liquid in the cups when they drink, no water in the shower etc.

Look, I will fully admit that HOTD has fucked my brain and my taste in men up, and so I'm blaming that for me looking at Ryan Gosling as Ken and going "yes I would like to obliterate that twink" 🙈

There were a lot of kids in my screening who absolutely did NOT get the "beach you off" joke, meanwhile I was sitting there laughing embarrassingly loudly like an idiot

Why was Allan a whole ass mood, I'm sorry but he was so relatable, arguably the best character I fear-

I like that weird-Barbie is basically what a lot of girls go through with their Barbies at a certain age by cutting off their hair, drawing on them with pens, etc. Like that’s a mood, my sister and I used to wash our Barbies’ hair and draw fake tattoos on them with felt tips 💀

“Do you ever think about dying? 😃” took me out oh my fucking god 💀 I already had one existential crisis this weekend watching Oppenheimer, I don’t need another one from Barbie of all things 😭

The way Ken says “because we’re boyfriend girlfriend” has the most random place in my heart and I don’t know why lol

The sheer horror over Barbie having flat feet LMFAO

Weird-Barbie having the dog where you feed it pellets and then use the tail so it shits the pellets back out?!? Me and my sister were like "oh my fucking god" because we literally had that fucking toy lmfao

Not gonna lie, I felt Sasha’s little monologue where she rants about the unrealistic standards set by Barbie like I see both sides of what Barbie represents and how she can be viewed and I get it. Like on the one hand, hooray for girls growing up having a doll that can show them they can be Presidents, Nobel Piece winners, doctors etc., hooray for all the feminism to come from Barbie. But also you could argue that there’s unreal expectations in regards to Barbie’s body shape, and that when we girls grow up into women, we realise that the Real World is not as simple as what we dreamt of while playing with Barbies, that our world doesn’t revolve around having women in positions of power, that we still very much live in a society where women are viewed as being there solely for men, as home makers and wives and mothers, that we can have a certain amount of freedom and power but not too much etc.

Did I kind of guess "hey maybe it's not the daughter who has triggered Barbie's crisis, maybe it's the mother"? Yes, I guessed that early on but I still loved it anyway

For the httyd questions!! 1, 6 and 9 maybe?

1: The first movie is what got me, but I didn't actually watch it until almost a year after release! I collected the mcdonalds toys (and pretended to be Toothless in my backyard?) but my parents would not splurge for me to see it in theaters so I had to wait and watch a copy online haha. To this day I will never forget the feeling I had watching Hiccup fall into the fire with Toothless diving after him for the first time. It was such an 'oh shit' moment of recognizing that I had never seen something that powerful? meaningful? important? in a movie before. I was very impressed that the studio had told a story catering to my interests and feelings. I guess that was the exact moment that started it all haha

6: So aside from my #1 hiccstrid which is probably the most common ship, of the canonish options I really loved when Ruffnut was pining after Eret in the second movie and I think they really compliment each other, since he's so level headed compared to her zaniness but also is a pretty loud boastful guy! And it would be funny if he got not only accidentally adopted into a new tribe but also accidentally adopted as a fiance at the same time haha. He'd be so confused but end up falling for her despite himself.

I can't see Ruff with the other boys, who had plenty of chances to woo her in RTTE and the second movie but were never right for her. Plus then they're free for fishlout <3 which is the real standout ship from RTTE for me. It does so much for both of their character development even with the canon crumbs we get. And if rufflegs has to be canon, then Snotlout should absolutely end up with Eret! His one-sided rivalry in THW screams "crush I don't know how to deal with"

A very unlikely ship of mine is Eret and Heather. I feel like they could go sooo well together, I've even considered going that route in my modern au but I think I'll probably stick to my rufferet roots? I guess I just keep shipping everyone with Eret, huh? I once had a dream that I was dating Kit Harington, maybe that's got something to do with it

9: Hiccup, always. I'm always aspiring to be Astrid, but really I'm not very much like her at all. As a kid I really related to him in the first movie due to his rocky relationship with a parent and his whole not fitting in thing. Now I really, really relate to him as an adult in the second and third movie. I don't want to get too deep, but like him the loss of that same parent was my cue to step up into new adult responsibilities, and I haven't really managed it. So I feel like I'm letting down my family if I continue to flounder, but also letting myself down if I settle into the role they want rather than running away on my own to find my own life. It feels very similar to his struggle between the tribe and the dragons. Fortunately I'm not really the chief of my family, so fingers crossed I'm able to get back on my feet soon and head out the door 🤞 I want the dragon life

Rainmaker

Annie reaches the top of the mountain as the balloon passes over and Waldo is in range of a shot. The confidence trickster leans out over the edge of the balloon’s basket, peering at the girl galloping along the trail beneath him. ‘Now what is that young filly up to?’ the false rainmaker wonders. ‘Does she really think she can catch me from down there?’ Annie reins in Target, pulls her rifle free of her saddle holster and takes careful aim at the balloon. BLAM! she pulls the trigger and the bullet flies, heading directly towards the soft helium filled material of Waldo’s airborne transport. The bullet tears into the fabric. Waldo hears a whoosh of air and feels a jolt. “What?” he cries as Annie’s repeater sends another two shots into the stricken balloon. It deflates rapidly and Waldo finds himself hurled helplessly from one side of the basket to the other as the collapsing craft begins to descend slowly but surely to the ground.

Waldo the Rainmaker falls to earth with a thud. The basket hits the rough ground of the trail and the burly conman is tipped out of the basket in an undignified heap, dust covering his expensive duds. He looks up wearily to see Annie Oakley astride Target trotting into view. While Waldo rubs his head, Annie dismounts, keeps him covered with her rifle with one hand while with her other she hooks out the proceeds from the bank robbery from inside the basket. “Quite a plan you had going, Waldo,” the young woman smiles as she slings the trail bag of loot across her saddle, “you almost got away with it.” Waldo stares up at Annie miserably as she reholsters the scarcely needed rifle and pulls her lariat free from the saddle hook. “Stand up, Waldo,” she orders the man, “I’m going to tie you up now. You ain’t going to give me no trouble now, are you?” The conman sighs and gets to his feet. “Have no fear of that, young lady.” he replies, a resigned expression on his face. Annie nods. “Put your hands behind your back for me, sir.” she tells him.

And so it is that a very crestfallen Waldo, sitting uncomfortably astride Annie’s horse, hands bound together behind him, is led back into Diablo by the blonde haired sharpshooter. “Good work, Annie,” calls out Lofty as Annie strolls into town with her prisoner. “The other birds confessed.” Tagg looks up at the gathering clouds. “I think it’s going to rain!” he exclaims excitedly. “Well I’ll be blamed!” laughs Lofty. “What in tarnation do you make of that, Annie?” The girl helps Waldo down off her horse and begins to walk him towards the sheriff’s office as the first raindrops begin to fall. “I think Waldo will be the most surprised prisoner in your jailhouse, Lofty.” she replies.

Can you imagine the absolute chaos. Ruff casually taking orders at the drive-thru while Tuffnut is trying to put out the fire. The embodiment of "911 do you take reservations" video)

hi!!! im good. well ... i have a math test today so it could be better but i get to chill out in the morning so thats fun . could be worse

first answer!!! i honestly havent thought of anything beyond the realms of httyd1. the first idea that comes to my head is that they would probably both be villains, but dagur would be keeping some secret about what they "actually" do from heather (maybe because he thinks hes protecting her) and she would find out and want to leave the hunting industry, maybe something to do with windshear.

OK so while the hunting industry is an established trade without legal repercussions (beyond some dragons having protections for economic reasons), the Red Death fighting ring isn't explicitly run by the government. it could be considered illegal (because they often steal dragons legally shot down by the government, like toothless, and put them in the ring), but operates under enough legal loopholes to be known locally and keep running. its located literally underground, and all of their bases are underneath entirely legit buildings, so its tricky to shut down what they're doing without hurting innocent people. the only issue i have thinking about it is that for this arc to work i do want to make the actual red death dragon a human, but i struggle to create a scenario afterwards with other villains (like dagur or viggo) that would raise the stakes enough, considering i want to follow httyd1's plot and have hiccup lose a leg to the red death.

its funny u say that abt jobs!!! i was actually thinking of this while making outfit designs last night, lol. astrid works seasonally at a skiing place and does soccer and dragon racing (though the latter isnt working out too well for her beforehand, and she stops wanting to do it after getting involved in the gang, but feels like she has to keep it up to avoid suspicion), and does online classes at universities abroad. her parents are pretty well-off and she has free reign of a debit card, so she's really useful for buying whatever supplies as long as it can be explained (like she did for the soccer gear they wear). but all the other stuff actually makes her the least available for vigilante bullshit, which shes kind of angry about, because she wants to blow stuff up with hiccup!!!!.

i like the idea of the twins working fast food, thats rlly funny, ajhjkd. though i think ruffnut would be the only one who has a job at the start of the story, and tuffnut would only get one after they have to take care of barf + belch (because he has issues with restraining environments).

i like to think fishlegs also works part-time at a post office. he actually enjoys being there and is really fascinated by stamps, how different codes work, etc and he says it helps him with stress, which flies over everyone else's head
