When you find out years later that you accidentally named one of your henchmen
Image ID: A multi-panel comic featuring au sanses. Panel 1: In Killer's original universe. A dark figure stands in the foreground while Killer is sitting back in the snow, covered in blood. Killer says "wh-what are you?" Panel 2: The dark figure is Nightmare but only his smile is visible. He says "I am Nightmare, guardian of all negativity in the multiverse ...and I have a proposition for you, Sans." Panel 3: Nightmare's hand is outstreched, he says "Come with me willingly and I'll take you out of this desolate and barren universe and let you loose on many others." Panel 4: Killer is looking back at Nightmare warily, a thought bubble shows he is thinking "other universes...?". He says "...in exchange for what? What do you want with me?" Panel 5: Nightmare's tentacles are reaching out towards Killer. He says "I feed off the fear and misery and hatred in this world, stirring these up will keep me powerful enough to fight against the guardian of positivity. In short," Panel 6: Nightmare is looming over Killer now, his tentacles surrounding him. He says "I just need you to be a good little killer." The word killer is in red text. Panel 7: Killer is grasping Nightmare's hand, having accepted his offer. Panel 8: Now in a different au, Nightmare stands beside Killer as he taunts Dream, who is out of frame. He says "You're outnumbered now Dream, I have a killer with me this time." The word killer is in red text again. Panel 9: Dream is lying on the ground looking hurt and ruffed up. Killer is standing in the background, looking ready to continue beating Dream up. Nightmare says from out of frame "You should know better than to turn your back on a killer by now." The word killer is in red text again. Panel 10: Nightmare is standing by Killer again, looking smug. He says to Dream, who is not shown "You'll need more than that pathetic bow next time you meet with my killer here." The word killer is in red text again. Killer is looking towards Nightmare, pleased with this. Panel 11: We are now in Nightmare's castle, present day. It is revealed to be Killer telling these events to Dust, who looks bored. Killer says "-and the name stuck, so that's why I'm called Killer now." Dust says very quietly "did I ask" Panel 12: Nightmare is standing in the corner behind them, he looks very surprised and concerned after hearing all this. Text with an arrow pointing to him reads "Didn't realise he had done this." Killer from out of frame says "he doesn't really call me his killer anymore tho" with a frowny face. Dust, also out of frame, says "that's nice now shut up" End ID.

OBSESSION | DANNY JOHNSON X READER PART 1
Tumblr media
please please PLEASEEEE keep in mind this is a very old fic i started on quotev/wattpad and am now moving here. this is NINE MONTHS OLD i swear my writing has gotten better, part 2 is already done and part 3 will be worked on. it's quality will be much better i swear.
ೃ⁀➷ You have always been teased about being 'obsessed' with Jed Olsen, a well known journalist that often writes about this killer that has been named 'Ghostface.' While you're only interested in catching this killer and have never thought of yourself as obsessed, a certain killer going by the name Jed Olsen is.
TWs: gore, death, kidnapping, stalking, all that fun stuff. everything you should expect in a dead by daylight/scream fanfic
part 1. part 2.
༶•┈┈୨♡୧┈┈•༶
Each key being pressed down fills the silence of your room, the bright screen illuminating the darkness that enveloped your home. Even though you were a journalist, and a decently well known one, you had never seen the reason for using one of your extra rooms for an office. It took too much money and you never knew when you'd need the guest room. Working in your own room was preferable anyway, despite all of the studies about one's room being one of the worst spaces to be a working space. You let out a sigh, momentarily lifting your hand to rub your exhausted eyes. You could never understand how Jed Olsen, that practically famous journalist, always got so many articles done. You admired him for that, and for his writing in general.
Writing was your job, and you had to get something out soon, but sleeping and putting your writing aside seemed awfully tempting as your body fought more and more to take care of itself. In one quick action you forced your laptop screen down and stared at the empty pitch black of your surroundings. Sighing, you pick up the device and slowly saunter over to your desk to put it away. You fumble with the cord as you struggle to actually charge your computer, but end up completely dropping it despite your efforts at the sudden ringing of your phone.
Grumbling especially angry words to yourself you walked over to the light of your phone, tripping over something that you had left on the ground at some point. Taking a moment to take a deep breath, you answer the phone and bring it your ear. There was no point in sharing your angry mood, even if it was 1:00 in the morning.
"Hello? I'm sorry for the wait, I -"
     "Hello, is this y/n?"
You pause, your breath the only thing heard for a few moments. You don't recognize the voice, and as far as you know there weren't any people from your job who needed you for anything.
     "Hello?"
     "Oh - yes, yes, this is y/n. I apologize, I'm - a little tired."
"Good, good. I'm uh - a big fan of your work. Your writing."
Despite the considerably odd way of complimenting, you smile. You had never expected someone to call in the middle of the night just to compliment your writing, but there's a first for everything.
"Especially on that, uh, killer. . . Ghostface, was it? Yeah, he's interesting."
"I guess you could call him that. or her, or them. I guess no one really knows, huh? I just want them caught, the thought of people constantly being killed just. . . bothers me, y'know? I wanna make a difference, especially when it comes to disgusting people like that. Who could even - kill? I'm sorry for rambling, I should probably let you go to bed. It's pretty late. I'm a little tired, too."
"Exactly what I think. You know, you should turn on your light. I can't see you."
You take a quick breath through your nose as your eyes scan the darkness around you. What did he say? It was silly trying to navigate your room in such a nervous state without being able to see, but you try nonetheless. Opening your door, you make your way to all of the windows in your home first, knowing the doors would be locked. The flashlight from your phone illuminates your path, the phone now put on speaker.
"Where are you?" you inquire hesitantly. You weren't really sure if you wanted the answer, but talking to the person on the phone was the only thing keeping you from breaking down completely. First window, locked.
"Why would I tell you that?" Clearly the other has dropped the innocent act, likely bored from playing along or ready to kill you any minute now. Both were equally as unnerving. Now that he was on speaker it constantly sounded as though he were right beside you every time he spoke. You regret your decision a little, but you have to check the house.
"I don't know." You are surprised your blood hadn't froze in your veins considering how cold it turned. The window in your kitchen was unlocked and opened. He was in the house. Fumbling with your phone to try and not shatter it on the floor, you rush to turn on the light so you can finally take the intruder off of speaker mode and see. "Who are you?"
"I think you know. You've been writing about me a lot lately."
You pause for a moment until the realization smacks you in the face and calls you stupid. Ghostface. Ghostface is in your home right now, and you are likely going to be in an article written by Jed Olsen. Why'd it have to be in this circumstance? You are only going to be remembered as a victim of Ghostface. 'Oh, also they were a journalist, but that's not really important.'
You quickly grab a knife from one of the drawers, the biggest one you own. Considering your arm looks as though it were a small child taking dance lessons for the first time, you aren't really sure if you'd be able to defend yourself properly.
“I'm going to call the cops and I'll get you arrested, do you hear me? Even if you kill me they'll realize I'm dead!" You spat, your venomous words simply a facade.
"I'll kill you before then. Don't waste their time."
You let out a sob, half running half stumbling out of the kitchen in a panicked frenzy as you struggle to navigate your own home. The living room. You needed to be in the living room. That way if you needed to you could run to another room or outside, either one. Shakily holding the knife away from your trembling body you glance around, horrified breaths escaping your lungs rapidly. You were going to die in your own home, and you wouldn't even get payed for your next article you were working on.
A loud noise causes you to jump and harshly point the knife towards the source. The door. You almost hesitate, unsure of who was there, until you heard the sound of your neighbor calling your name. With a cry of relief you fumbled with the locks and quickly opened the door only to be met with a ghostly mask worn by a man holding a device. Upon seeing him click a button and hearing the sound of your neighbor calling your name again you turn in an attempt to run away, your feet tripping over themselves. You were too slow, however, and he had already predicted your attempt to escape.
You try to scream and fight back but find one hand on your mouth and the other around your arms, holding you in place. Regardless, you scream, kick, and throw your arms around the best you can. It does absolutely nothing. You can see his knife grasped in his hand holding your arms to your sides, a shine of light reflecting off of the cold metal. You were going to die, you were going to die, you -
"Now, if you want to live, you'll go right to your room and open that laptop of yours, got it?" The killer demands as though you don't have a choice, and you really don't. Apparently deciding you aren't likely to scream for help at this point he slowly removes his hand from your face, switching the knife from his other hand to his newly free one. "If you don't, I'll kill you. Understand?"
You don't think you've ever nodded so fast in your life. Apparently accepting your answer, Ghostface allows you to quickly walk to your room, staying close behind and not allowing you to go to any other destination. Of course he knew where your room was. As you made it to your room you flipped the light switch, barely reacting to the sudden absence of the dark. You had other things to worry about.
As soon as you entered your room you heard a click. He had shut the door and was now standing right in front of it, not allowing you to leave even if you were dumb enough to try. You hadn't noticed before, but you were crying and your breathing was heavily uneven, filling the silence that tormented you. Rushing over to your laptop, you opened it, looking back at the killer in your room nervously as your gaze flicked between his mask and his knife.
"Show me your newest article, the one you're working on. Do it for your number one fan." While you couldn't see his face, you could practically sense the smile pulling the corners of his lips upward. You nodded, your fear overwhelming you as you shakily pulled up the screen to your work in progress, placing the laptop on the bed close to the man before taking a few steps away. He chuckled, picked the laptop up, read possibly a few words, and set it back down. Though you had stopped crying, you definitely were in no way, shape, or form calm. You were absolutely terrified, and rightly so.
"Why don't you finish it for me? I would kill to see what's in the mind of the greatest journalist of all time." He chuckled again, sitting down on your bed and motioning for you to sit next to him. You do, in fear of angering him, and place your laptop onto your lap. While you scroll down to find where you had left off you could hear his breathing directly next to your face as he leaned in to look closer. You couldn't imagine the vision was very good in that mask, but him being so close to you so casually made you undoubtedly nervous.
With a deep breath you begin typing with shaky fingers, often pausing to try your best to collect your thoughts and put them onto the screen. It proved extremely difficult focusing when a famous murderer was right there, right next to you, reading every single letter you were writing as if it was the answer to life itself. After a while his presence became incredibly overwhelming and you struggled to think, your fingers hovered over various painted letters as you stare blankly at the bright light of the screen. The man must have caught onto your growing fear because he leaned back from your laptop and stared at you, his knife tapping against his knee as he stayed still, seemingly in thought or just observing you.
You didn't think you could grow any more uncomfortable, but here you are. Eventually you stared down at your keyboard, giving up on the attempt to look at though you were busy. Your entire body shook, your eyes growing blurry once tears began to form once again. He was going to kill you now. You couldn't even think straight, all that had been going through your mind while writing was ways he could and would kill you. You messed up. You messed up. You messed up.
Your thoughts were interrupted by a gloved hand carefully taking your jaw and adjusting your head so that you were staring right at the horrifying mask you had been hoping to avoid looking at. Your entire body shook as you glanced down at the knife held in his hands. You wanted to watch it to be ready for any attack, but you couldn't help but stare at the mask hiding the killer's face.
"I won't kill you." he assures as though it would calm you down right then and there. "Not unless I have to, anyway."
Your breath hitches and your eyes immediately shut, blurry with fresh tears. You want to disappear, but unfortunately you can't. Trying to think about what the rest of your day had been like you wonder how it had even took this turn. If you had told yourself a few hours ago the most famous killer in your town was going to break into your home and request to read your work they would laugh in your face. You wouldn't blame them.
The feeling of a leather glove wiping away the tears, new and old, on your face causes you to flinch and open your eyes once again. He was much closer than before, possibly just an inch away from your face. You hadn't even heard him shift forward while you were stuck in your thoughts. Shocked, you try to move back a little only for the Ghostface to wrap an arm around you and keep you close to him, grab the laptop from your lap and place it on his. By the way he was holding you next to him you could barely even move, only causing you to worry further.
He hadn't even attempted to hurt you once. Perhaps it was the mere fact that he had hurt, even killed, people before and likely never stressed over it. From what you have heard he even took pride in his 'work', taking pictures of victims and whatnot. You hoped he hadn't taken any pictures of you at some point. He must have stalked you for a while, a few weeks at the least, to know where everything in your house was. As far as you were aware he could've even been in your house before already! You didn't want to even take the chance of trusting him.
He soon began typing, finishing the work for you instead of forcing you to do it. His knife sat beside him on the bed. Upon noticing you staring at it, he glances between you and the weapon and carefully moved it farther away from him in order to assure he had no plans on harming you anytime soon. The action almost made him seem more human, as if he weren't a murderer that broke into your home and threatened your life multiple times. He seemed almost unsure, nervous that you would suddenly panic and lash out again in an attempt to escape him.
You stare at the screen absentmindedly for a moment before looking down at your lap and letting out a shaky breath. The killer's hand carefully pats the side of your head for just a moment before returning to its place around your torso, likely another awkward attempt to comfort you. For a killer, you noticed, he was incredibly awkward. When he wasn't ready to murder you at any moment, that is. Though you were absolutely nowhere close to relaxing, you couldn't help but feel more calm than you were before. Even so, you refuse to allow yourself to let your guard down. This was a killer, he can and will likely kill you without another thought.
You hadn't meant to, but at some point you had zoned out completely. The only thing taking you out of your thoughts was Ghostface's arm leaving you and him placing your laptop in your lap before retrieving his knife. He pointed the blade towards you, moving it around with small motions as he spoke.
"I may not have killed you now, but I'll have no problem doing so if I find the cops at my door, got it?" he threatened, clearly waiting for an answer. Your fear returning, you nod and watch him leave your room, likely exiting your home from the same window he had entered. You didn't bother to follow him out. Instead you stared at the now finished article with tired and shocked eyes, barely hearing the sound of your kitchen window shutting.

╰┈➤Love sick
Don't ask your family about love 💀
Also, Alphonse have reasons why he gave the worst advises. First, because he is homophobic. Second, he just want to see drama
"Brother I need help." Angst said nervously as he fiddle with his fingers.
This is not a scene you can see everyday so Crescent is quite surprised.
"Of course but let me finish my prayer first. You can pray too if—"
"I need help about love-"
Crescent eyes sparks as he immediately left his prayers.
"of course brother! I have so many advices to tell you!"
Angst could tell this is going to be a long speech...
*a few hours later*
It's indeed a long speech.
"So what I need to do is to love him back, ask him on a date then kiss him?" Angst asked. "Is that what people with emotions should do?"
"Yeah duh, I read many novels about it. The heroine confessed to emotionless Duke and they both got the romantic arc yet heroine ran away because the Duke suddenly ignore her. The duke went crazy and obsessed with heroine so he kidnapped her and emotionally plus physically abuse her HAHAHAHA—" crescent realized he rambled nonsense. "I apologizes for my vulgar words, brother."
"Interesting...? So is that how love should be?" asked Angst.
"I mean yeah I guess.. Like mother and father... ... But please be nothing like father. Just inherited his possessive and obsessive behavior, that's so romantic in novel!" Said Crescent.
"Really...?" Angst still questioning whether it's a good idea to asked his twin brother. "How to love him back then..?"
"Oh, that's easy. Just think 24/7 hours about him." claimed Crescent. "I always thought about the God Sol and pray for him every hours."
"Right... You totally did not think of that model boy." Angst rolled his eyes and scoffed.
"If you're going to accuse me for adultery then no, I did not commit such sins. I just have this unfortunate feelings and I am mature enough to pray so my sins will be forgiven." Crescent is quick to defend himself.
"Yeah, yeah whatever. Believe whatever you want to believe." Angst got up from his seat. "Thanks for the advice, brother..."
༶•┈┈୨♡୧┈┈•༶
"Mom. This may sounds weird but could you give me some advice about love?"
Killer coughs after hearing her son request.
"Huh???" She did not expect for Angst asked such question. "Uhm... Angst do you like someone?"
"uh... I'm not sure but he confessed to me and said he likes me." Said Angst.
"Oh... Is it your friend Gradient...?" Asked Killer.
"yeah..."
Killer smiles at her son and pat his head. "You two make a good couple, Gradient truly like you. So you must like him back. He'll be sad if a gentleman like you reject him." Said Killer.
"Hmm... Alright, I see..."
༶•┈┈୨♡୧┈┈•༶
"Father, I need advice about love—"
Alphonse choked on his coffee.
"What the fuck???" Alphonse is in disbelief.
"Just give me some words about love." He frown. "you lived for centuries, you must fell in love with many women." accused Angst.
"I did not." Alphonse sighed and say, "Take a seat son, I just know some relationship advice to give you."
"Alright, I'm fine with it." Angst then took a seat as he wait patiently for his father words.
"I take that Gradient confessed to you...?" Alphonse only have a disappointment expression now.
"Why mom and you knew it right away?"
"That boy can't hide his feelings. I'm surprised you are oblivious despite how many times he show he is in love with you." Said Alphonse. "But anyway... Talking about this, you have to keep that boy on leash."
"Why?"
"You know the reason very well. You and I are not so different, we both became 'lovesick' to our loved one." Alphonse grin. "I mean look at Crescent... He's all over that disgusting boy." Alphonse rolled his eyes.
"Oh..." Angst nodded.
"Don't be so down, Angst. Look at the bright side, you will have Gradient by your side forever and he won't have to leave you. Violence is necessary if he decide to disobey." Said Alphonse.
"I'm not like you...-"
"I haven't finish my talk yet." Alphonse cut him off. "You don't have to hurt him physically, instead you should do it mentally. Maybe hurt yourself if he decide to leave or manipulated him thinking you're the victim." Alphonse then pour a glass of wine for Angst. "Drugging him is also necessary... Just in case if he decide to fight against you."
"..." Angst nodded as he listened to the explanation.
Alphonse smile proudly and hand the wine over Angst.
"Cheer up son, at least the kingdom will have two rulers to take over." Said Alphonse.
"Right..." Angst took the glass of wine and drank it. "Thanks for the talk, it's quite useful."
༶•┈┈୨♡୧┈┈•༶
Love and obsession.
Angst can't tell the difference between them. He likes Gradient right?
Yes, Gradient confessed to him. He made Angst to have this emotions, so he must take the responsibility.
But what kind of emotions...?
Desperation and obsession. It's not a pure love, no...
Angst seem to mistaken the emotions for love. That's why he desperately need Gradient. So he can feel secure.
Gradient is the only one who support and nice to him right? No one else right?
"Oh, Angst you're here!" Gradient walk towards Angst and greeted him.
"ah... Gradient." Angst grin as he hold Gradient chin. "The answer is yes, I love you too."
And that's when the chase between predator and prey started...

Well, did some adulting today. Got a handheld air tire... Pump thing and took care of the most deflated tire. The others need touching up but I started fumbling the second and decided to take my victory where I could. Slower than a station but also doesn't charge 2 bucks to embarrass myself in the cold ass 5 AM air.
Do recommend if you don't mind airing up your own tires but hate trying to find an air pump that won't lead you to getting mugged. I imagine it's even handier as an emergency pump if the tire is punctured and you need to limp to an auto shop without paying a tow truck.
Anyway! New ramble when I should be sleeping ✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧
This time I was zoning out thinking about an intriguing character backstory that I've only seen a few fics do. And that's have the MC have parents (usually just one) be serial killers. Or some kind of hobby murderer where that's really not the norm.
Kinda made me wonder if there are any serious serial killers in OP, not pirates just... Dead ass killer by night types. They've got so many problems, it feels mean if they also gotta worry about their own version of Ted Bundy, you know?
Anyway! I was having fun designing this character, at first having them be a kid for their plot but the "this kid is really fucked up and unsettling in a uniquely preteen girl way" growing up into a "only somewhat better at hiding it but distinctly unsettling to be around teen" is a fun dynamic to have.
WBP cause they're the best equipped to do the "found family" thing but I'm flexible enough to consider others, ngl
Anyway, design wise I wanted her to be small and lanky. Maybe naturally pale for spooky vibes, we'll see. Perpetually smiling and close eyed expression that almost never feels sincere but people are too uncomfortable to point it out. Thought it'd be fun for her to have curly white hair with red tips that swirl so her hair pulled up looks like an artistic cascading bouquet of white roses stained red. For the dramatics.
And her eyes are unsettling (hence her closing them and basically using very limited observation haki to see without looking), red with white pupils. Very piercing by nature and not helped by her vampire ass canines. Hence her carefully smile and if she talks a lot she covers her mouth.
She's not strictly self conscious about the way she is, though she's not naive about her effect on people, but rather finds it polite to try and hide as many odd quirks in public. A leftover of her secret killer parent(s?) Raising her to hide in plain sight.
Unusually brutal, does NOT fuck about. She doesn't right people so much as slaughter them. Very cautious about engaging with anyone because she doesn't understand the concept of "friendly fighting" and "sparring". ONLY goes for the kill, why raise her blade/hands/teeth otherwise? You don't fight someone unless you want them dead.
Had the fun idea of her being taken in after an incident with a slave ship as a apprentice gardener or librarian with a little flower garden herself. Seen being polite and friendly though still unsettling. And then there's a serious fight and when all is said and done, one of the "defeated" enemies starts to draw a gun and she just
Slams a shovel into their neck, severing it. Same placid smile.
"if you're going to make a mess, finish what you started"
They're naturally horrified this child just committed cold blooded murder and knows she can't stay. It's a miracle nothing's gone wrong until this point with someone so obviously off to the average civilian.
But she's just really pragmatic about murder. Doesn't see the point in making others suffer but also doesn't practice much mercy. Not cruel, very calculating in whether or not she's interested in seeing someone die before acting. Her version of "I like you!" Is basically "if you drew a knife on me, I'd disarm you not gut you".
Takes a horrifying incident for there to be a rule only Marco is allowed to spar or fight her. She dead ass almost slit a dude's throat because she cut his chest pretty good and thought it was kinder to end his suffering. Didn't even occur to her to get a medic. She's... Not usually concerned with her victims surviving, after all. Dead ass offers to end Whitebeard so that none of his sons have to do it themselves or see him suffer prolonged illness. Ready to take on that burden because she doesn't have an issue with the act itself.
Genuinely thinks that's a sweet offer and everyone is horrified.
Idk, it's just a fun image of a Yonko crew trying to teach a budding sociopath tenderness that doesn't involve a killing blow. She can be really nice! But it's definitely tempered with an unnervingly easy willingness to rip someone's throat out with her teeth if needed.
It's... Definitely different from their usual problems. Typically the sweet, familial kindness is buried underneath angst and pride. Not left at home entirely.
Her real kindness is akin to a feral cat. Bringing dead things to their doorsteps and rendering meat stock with unnerving efficiency and comfort for anyone else's comfort.

I love Vampyr. My first run was a 'not even once' one with zero casualties. Then another where I turned the pillars only....and Geoffrey. Then one when I turned people I disliked....the murderer, serial killer, priest....and I'm currently in one where I try to have .....the most effect. Like you bite one character and then another obe does sth because of your actions, I love gameplay like that.
I agree that the gameplay could use some polish. Most of the fighting is sort of superfluous, you kill so many Priwen for basically nothing. Better to focus on the discovery and dialogue gameplay.
Geoffrey hits the perfect storm of classical antagonist, hunter vs monster, well meaning, modern knight, maybe even king arthur expy.....and relentless bastard. The interesting thing is that he's friendlier towards you if you turned him than if you spared him.
Elisabeth just wasn't explored enough, I almost feel like there's a part missing. In one mission she sends you dispatch her blackmailer, gives you no helpful information, scolds you if you get things wrong because of your lack of information and finally it turns out that her blackmailer was actually right and justified because she does kill helpless patients. And in the next mission Jonathan is in love with her.
Sorry for rambling, I have way too many thoughts about Vampyr.
Oh you've played it a lot more than me! Very nice! And since I'm fresh into the game, I love hearing your thoughts on it 🤩
I also think it's nice to see the effect that actions can have on the gameplay. For sure I'll give myself another run snacking on a few more people too. Just to see what happens! Some NPC were real dicks, it will give me great pleasure to make Jonathan bite them
I think it's a shame though that he immediately gets those bloodshot eyes - like, no other vampire has them, why does Jonathan immediately become a "bloodthirsty beast" haha (they suit him, don't get me wrong, it's just a bit strange)
I also noticed that Geoffrey isn't too sad as a vampire! Had almost thought he'd throw himself into the sun as his quasi-first official act as a vampire, but no - I think he actually likes it in the end. It would be cool if we got a second part (or a DLC) where Geoffrey as vampire helps us. Or he remains a human and helps us anyway, but we get to snack on him from time to time hihi
You're right, Elisabeth just wasn't portrayed well. Her character should have been given more depth. She came across as rather unsympathetic at the beginning, and suddenly Jonathan is head over heels for her. That didn't make sense in my head either. That's why the love story seemed a bit far-fetched to me.
In general, I also thought it was a shame that we didn't get to the East End and meet Jonathan's home until the very end. That part also came a bit too short for me. I'd have loved to learn more about his past. At the beginning I even thought he was "lying" about being a doctor because he introduced himself so hesitantly. The game opened so many barrels, but in the end didn't really close any of them and didn't really continue any of them... That was a bit sad. It could have been a great "Witcher" game (in terms of scale, you know what I mean)
But maybe I just need to play it a few more times, read some more fanfiction, search fan wikis and so on 🤭

Why did you become interested in Azutara and what made it your OTP. What does it have that other ships lack ?
Hello PD thank you for the excellent question :)
I love talking about Azutara so much. Okay, so I actually started out the fandom more on the team "I don't ship Azula with anyone I just want her to heal & get better I don't care about romance for her."
The first story I wrote for Avatar that I felt I had a good grip on the characters was The Benefits of Getting a Flat Tire. That was primarily a Zuko/Sokka story with a strong focus on Zuko & Azula healing their relationship & getting away from Ozai. I set out to write a Zukka fic. Azula wasn't in a romantic relationship with anyone & I didn't intend for her to be in a romantic relationship with anyone in it. Then I wrote her interacting with Katara & the sparks just flew & I knew I had to write an Azutara sequel :)
I shipped Zuko/Katara before I ever entered the fandom or watched the show to be totally honest with you. I didn't know that much about it but I knew vaguely about the show & I knew that Zuko was an angsty villain with a redemption arc & Katara was the main hero girl so like. I have a type I assumed I would be really into that ship lmao
& I really loved Zuko & Katara's life-changing adventure, I thought it was filled with great characterization for Katara & explored her grief & rage & it was just a really powerful character moment for Katara. So naturally, when I wrote that sequel, I thought "hm how about a story focused on Katara wanting revenge on her mother's killer but instead of Zuko helping her it's Azula?"
& from there I started to realize how much Azula & Katara could help each other, how their trauma with family (a missing mother figure, a distant father figure) is similar but also so different. I've talked a lot about how Azula & Katara are narrative foils & how Avatar has such a strong focus on foils reconciling with one another & on personal growth & redemption & healing but it always bears repeating. I think that Azula & Katara connecting with one another is just a natural & beautiful direction for both of their stories to take.
Also, they're just such FUN characters to write. Azula is very obviously my favorite character there's no denying it if you look at my blog lol & I can get behind shipping her with many different characters (I've come so far from shipping her with no one lmao) because she's uniquely smooth & awkward at the same time. She's confident & also filled with insecurity. She's deeply traumatized in ways that will forever impact her every relationship platonic & romantic. & the thing is - Katara is too! (oh wow this topic is so relevant to the upcoming chapter of OGITAW lol) Katara is someone who could understand Azula both because Katara is so emotionally intelligent AND because Katara herself is in many ways "damaged."
In canon, the idea of these two child soldiers reconciling & healing & growing together is so beautiful. In an alternate universe, these two girls who are such complex & interesting characters interacting just has ENDLESS possibilities.
They have pretty much opposite ways of viewing the world (Azula is cold & rational & pragmatic Katara is emotionally driven & righteous & idealistic) which provides opportunities for both conflict AND working together. It's just so fun to write about them being drawn to each other & unsure about each other & even hating each other or going from hate to love.
Thank you for giving me the excuse to ramble!! :) 💖💖 Also, I linked my own fics & posts so much in this lmao I don't mean to be narcissistic I'm just sharing my views & how they came about ya know etc. But I'll still link just a few of my favorite Azutara authors who are not me anyway because the Azutara fandom is amazing & deserves all the love x x x

Hey, Aubrey! Happy be-earlied Fab Friday! :D Just as I'd anticipated, I'm here to send you an early Fab Friday ask so I don't forget.
So, I have two concepts I wanna rant about. I'll try to keep them short since there's two.
So #1: my concepts for the new WIP.
So, I decided against doing nano after all. I just have too much going on to have the motivation to write regularly right now tbh and for the first time since the first time I did nano, I have no shame in it. :) I tried, I thought I could but I learned I couldn't. And it would be hypocritical of me, with how much I preach to allow yourself to take breaks without shame or guilt, for me to then feel bad about quitting nano. :)
But I've written a bit of that WIP since the last Fab Friday and it's already great. I'm so excited to continue it!
I'm gonna post a really short snippet from it instead of talking about it itself.
The day they exiled us, my parents tried to fight for our freedoms… and in the end, they lost their lives for it. They were martyrs in the cause of justice and fairness for my kind. I still never, not ever forget that fact.
The 2nd thing I wanna talk about is less about a WIP (for now) and more about the character the WIP is about.
So first of all, if you've never heard it yet, I recommend the song 1000%, but the WIP was inspired by the song How Villains Are Made by Madalen Duke. PHENOMENAL, haunting song, beautiful. And the second I heard the first few lines, the images of a villain going through their villain arc of BECOMING the villain raced through my mind. I have since then (last night) been working on her. Her name is Yvonne Scarlett Johanna (it was gonna be Johansson but then I was like 😬😬😬 oh right I love that name because it's an actress that I adore xD).
Anyway, she's secretly an artist. Has been tagging buildings since she was 14 or so. She accidentally killed her first victim, which was a police officer that had caught her tagging a building when she was 21 or 22 (I can't remember the exact age I wrote down).
Her calling card is what I'm REALLY EXCITED about though. She does graffitti that shows their faces but it's unique because one side of the face is all dolled up like they're going on a fancy date or something and the other side is like a decaying face, blood dripping from the face, rotting flesh, the whole nine yards. And to finish the scene, the corpse has paintbrushes (which were not used in the art, it's just for the art's sake) hanging out of the mouth. Her motivation, you ask? To show the world that art can change the world/make a difference.
I have a feeling she's gonna show up in one of my bigger projects because I'm already in love with her. xD I'm thinking she might be one of the killers that Belinda's ex, Ruby, who also happens to be Ikuisuus' first love interest (These are characters from a like 3-4 year old writing project called Death Has a Face) was going after. Ruby was a serial killer that killed serial killers xD and she dated Belinda to go after her. I think that Yvonne might be another woman she had figured out who she was and planned to kill. But I'm thinking maybe something caused her to change her mind.
Anywayyyy! This is so long, I'm sorry. I've been so excited to rant and ramble about my thoughts and ideas.
Tumblr media
I am ALREADY in love with Yvonne!!! She sounds like a character who would make me scoop up a book off the shelf in a HEARTBEAT!!!
Also kudos to you for assessing whether you want to/have time for NaNo. Sometimes it can get really easy to overcommit, especially if you've been doing NaNo for a long time and you don't want to miss out.
But it's super important to prioritize your well-being, your mental health, and your energy alongside your writing ♥

I'm not the original anonymous but I would extremely want to see that essay about Apollo's trust issues.
Also since I just finished Spirit of Justice, do you think Lamiroir ever told Trucy/Apollo about her and if so what would be their reactions?
Let’s see if I can write this up without crying again like I did on twitter.
So a while ago a friend of mine asked me why I liked Apollo, and I really couldn’t put my finger on it. I knew he was my favorite, but unlike Simon Blackquill, I hadn’t done that deep dive into figuring out why. I’d always just sort of loved him, and was never able to pinpoint the part that made me care about him so much. It drove me crazy, too, I love rambling about characters that I love, and I love writing from Apollo’s perspective more than anything. So why did I love him? Why did I care about him?
Well. I figured it out. I figured out my answer.
I think there are two things that characterize Apollo more than anything. One: He has trust issues. He genuinely believes that the people around him don’t give a shit about him. Especially after being betrayed multiple times in that first trial, he truly and deeply believes that the people around him are only trying to hurt him and is too scared to really believe that they care about him.
And two: He cares so much about the people around him that he constantly helps them anyway.
So like. And I won’t tag her because I don’t think she’d appreciate it, but I was watching the laquilasse AA4 stream last night, and the entire opening of Turnabout Corner is so striking to me, especially right after the end of Turnabout Trump. At the end of Turnabout Trump, Apollo’s trust and belief in Phoenix is finally and thoroughly shattered, and Apollo lashes out, punching Phoenix in the face. And for good reason! That was a huge breach of trust! Apollo literally did the exact thing that got Phoenix disbarred, namely present evidence that wasn’t real. Sure, they never exactly claimed it was the real deal, but Apollo didn’t even know it was faked, he just trusted Phoenix and this new piece of evidence and it almost fucked him over. It did sort of fuck him over, he did lose his job and his Mentor.
And then, Phoenix calls him and says that they’re in trouble, and Apollo doesn’t even question it, of course he shows up to help.
Like. You can feel how much he mistrusts Trucy on their first meeting, in everything he does and says. Especially when Trucy and Phoenix are in the same room, he’s actively thinking about how he doesn’t ‘buy their act’ when Phoenix is calling Trucy daughter-ly nicknames. And then, in a way, he’s kind of right? They guilt him into essentially being their errand boy, and I feel like they’re constantly and loudly using him throughout so much of the game.
And Apollo was there anyway. Apollo doesn’t even trust them and he’s still there the first instant Phoenix says he needs his help.
Like you can loudly do and say whatever you want and crush his dreams and betray his trust, and despite everything, there’s always that part of Apollo that desperately needs to help anyone who asks him. He can’t even bring himself to trust them, and he’s still crawling back the moment someone needs him, ready to let them disappoint him over again.
Like this struck me about Apollo from the moment I played AA4, but he’s so lonely? And desperate for connection? He cares so much about a world that has always and consistently never cared about him, and he just keeps caring and keeps caring even as that starry-eyed naivete is ripped away. And I feel like he just wants someone to care about him back, but never really able to believe that they do, because they never really seem to, because every time he allows himself to trust it’s just thrown back in his face so horribly.
Here’s an interesting thing I noticed: in Turnabout Trump, there’s a really interesting line. Phoenix has accused Kristoph of being the murderer, the extra person in the room. Kristoph takes the stand and claims to have witnessed the moment Phoenix committed the murder. And this exchange happens:
Apollo: There must have been someone else there at the moment of the crime!
Kristoph: Justice... I just said I saw no one. Not a soul.
Apollo: B-But, that goes against what Mr. Wright said!
Kristoph: Ah yes, this mysterious "fourth person"... ...who would conveniently be the "real killer", I suppose.
And this is well past the point where Phoenix has accused Kristoph of being that person. There’s no possibility at this point that they’re both innocent, it’s either one or the other. And Apollo is still so desperately trying to find a way for them both to be innocent, basically saying, “Just give me a fourth person and I’ll believe you.” And then Kristoph turned out to be a monster, and then Phoenix turned out to have betrayed Apollo from the start, and as far as Apollo is ever aware, none of the care from either of these men was ever real. He trusted, and he suffered the consequences.
But again. He’s still there. Someone pointed out a while ago, but Apollo stays. Apollo shows up to the Wright Talent Agency under false pretenses, and he complains and hems and haws, and he still stays. Why?
Phoenix and Trucy loudly manipulate him into working their case. They’re perfectly happy to flaunt that they’re basically tricking him. And he stays. Why?
Because Apollo can’t trust them, but he wants to so fucking bad. He doesn’t even seem to like Phoenix that much, but he wants that connection so fucking bad. He cares about them so much and he doesn’t believe for a second that they extend that feeling back at him, and he’s compelled to stay anyway.
He knows Trucy is practically using him, and he’s a sobbing mess when he thinks she was kidnapped for a few minutes. He’s cynical and mean and it’s all just to cover up the fact that he loves all these people around him with all his heart and they never once pay it back. And he comes back anyway. He’s like a fucking loyal dog that is never given enough affection and so he’s constantly trying harder and harder to earn that love while never believing he’ll ever really get it.
(Shit nope crying again)
It’s just so sad. And this is all without adding anything from the 3D games. The 3D games do build on this theme in one way or another, but from the get go, this is who Apollo is. A caring young man who is constantly punished for caring and yet can’t stop caring anyway.
We see it again in the 3D games. And I think part of why I don’t enjoy DD as much as SoJ is that DD doesn’t capture this mistrust the same way. It’s so surface level, that sense of betrayal and mistrust and anger he gets consumed by in that final case. And the worst part is it doesn’t have to be! There’s already that foundation! Apollo has been hurt already a million times. The only person he’s ever been able to trust, the only lifeline that’s kept him above water since he was a child, was Clay Terran, and now that was taken from him because he DARED to trust someone new. That’s so fucking compelling! But we never get that! We never get to see how Apollo is feeling. We get that he’s convinced Athena did the murder, but never really get into the Why, into the What This Means for Apollo.
It’s a bit better in SoJ. We see how far he’s come in terms of trusting people when he trusts in Trucy wholly and immediately in case two. And then, conversely, we see his mistrust and hurt when they introduce Dhurke into the mix. Apollo refuses point blank to believe that Dhurke had come to visit him, that Dhurke cared about him. Apollo demands to know why Dhurke was there, what Dhurke wanted, how Dhurke was going to use him. He’s been able to slowly start building that trust with people like Trucy, but he still cannot let himself trust again when Dhurke had already betrayed that trust.
I said it before, but as much as I hate the slapdash ways in which Capcom keeps throwing backstory at this boy, I love what the backstories are, because they build on this angry, cynical, lonely young man I care about so much. He’s been hurt and abandoned and used and betrayed since he was young, and being good never truly paid off for so long, but he kept doing it, he kept being good, he kept caring about people because he couldn’t help it, and kept hoping that maybe they could care back. And eventually I think it does start paying off for him. People do start caring about him. And I feel like it takes until around SoJ for him to start really believing that the people around him might care about him too.
Also congrats on finishing SoJ! Since there’s a very good chance that they might be announcing AA7 soon, I...hope? fear? expect? that they’ll touch on this then. However, I also worry that they’re going to botch it up so hard.
I know what I want to happen. I want Trucy to be angry. I want her to be angry at Lamiroir and Phoenix. She is constantly putting on a mask to try to make the people she loves happy, and I feel like this is a reasonable breaking point. After all, this is kind of the one thing that Phoenix hasn’t been honest with her about. She had a brother right there, and knew the whole time?! She had a mother there the whole time?! And no one bothered to tell her?! I think she’d be heartbroken, and I think she deserves to be angry. She’s been through so much, and they never give her time to really grieve or be upset.
I think Apollo would be ecstatic and angry at the same time. All he’s ever wanted was family, and now he does! He already loved Trucy, and thought Lamiroir was amazing, so I think he would be so happy to have that family back in his life. On the flip side, I do think he’d be angry at Phoenix, particularly for keeping it to himself before Lamiroir came into the picture, but I think if they talked it out, Apollo would come around to it and be able to forgive Phoenix.

Things Yizhan Made Me Do
It's BXG Day today! 🐢💛
To commemorate the occasion, I thought of making a list of 13 out-of-character things that I've done since falling into the fandom. (OK I'm a bit late I meant to do this sooner, the day is ending soon in a couple of hours).
Tumblr media
1. Start a blog
And a public one, no less. I had a blog when I was in my teens but that was private, like a personal diary. My day job already involves writing so off-work I would usually like to indulge in mindless activities. Now, here I am, maintaining a Yizhan blog. I have not even used Tumblr prior to this but I'm enjoying it now, rambling about our fav boys. Writing is not a chore if it's about them.
2. Join a fandom
I joined a boy band fan club once upon a time, some 15 years ago, but I was never as invested in it as I am now with Yizhan. Back then it was just buying some merch, attending their concert/autograph sessions, listening to their songs. Apart from work, dog mum duties, personal relationships, other hobbies like kombucha brewing, most of my free time is now spent on the fandom. My Netflix account is crying. There is just so much to do and catch up on (I'm not complaining). I also enjoy interacting with and learning from other bloggers here. Antis are no fun and some industry news/developments/hate messages are upsetting but ultimately, you curate your own fandom experience. And I choose positivity and rationality.
3. Indulge in RPS
I don't ever 'ship'. What is 'ship'? 😆 I was always a dutiful audience, just enjoying whatever drama series and moving on after that. I started with CQL like most people and I didn't even notice/like GGDD until much later. Didn't even set out to 'ship' anyone but now I'm a self-professed turtle. SZD is SZD, and anyone can see something special between them if you keep an open mind. I wrote about my SZD reasons here previously. That said, GG & DD are individuals, each with their own successful careers. They come first, the ship comes second. That I'm very clear of.
4. Use Chinese apps
Gosh, my phone and tablet are now full of Chinese apps. I used to have only WeChat cos I needed it for work but now I have Weibo, Oasis, Douyin, WeTV, MangoTV, Youku, etc. Some of them are not even available in the app store so I had to find alternative sources to download them. haha..I even have paid membership for some of these apps. And now, browsing Weibo daily becomes a routine. If you wish, you can just get stuck browsing Weibo for a long long time. It's entertaining.
5. Read fan fic
I only started about 6 months ago but now I'm hooked and fics are largely the only thing I read these days, apart from news. But I only read Yizhan or WangXian fics (p.s. calling for fic recs of other pairings!) I know some might have different feelings about fan fics but to me, I really just see them as fiction, with characters (and sometimes traits) bearing similarities to GGDD. Similarly, I separate the platform from the incident so I have no problems going to A03 despite GG's incident. I just enjoy seeing the characters named XZ/WYB having happy endings in many different timelines and universes. While most of the fics I read are explicit (by design), I don't use them as tools to play out certain fantasies or to think of GGDD in a sexual manner. In fact, I really hate fics that have little substance and just go into the explicit parts without plot development. I like those with interesting premises too, like one I read recently where XZ is a serial killer and WYB is a police officer investigating the case but also in love with him. I do have plans to share my list of fav fan fics some time down the road so keep an eye out for it!
6. Willingly read Chinese
Yes, Chinese may be my mother tongue but I don't use it much in daily living unless I have to. I also find it tedious to read Chinese cos the characters are just so squashed together. If I have a choice, I will always pick English. But now, I read so much Chinese from my daily weibo browsing. I even read fan fics in Chinese! Who am I? On the plus side, I think my Chinese comprehension and translation skills improved. I also picked up some internet lingo used by Chinese netizens, which are pretty interesting like doi, 🐮🍺, 🖍. My all-time fav is yyds.
7. Act like a cougar
In real life, I have always maintained that younger men are childish. At least those I have encountered. But look at me now, fangirling over two younger men (I am closer in age to GG, but still..). I even jokingly call them my 'China Boyfriends'. I look at them very respectfully most of the time.
8. Buy merch
Seriously, once you start, you can't stop. At least that was what happened to me, although I'm still quite selective when it comes to supporting their endorsements. I usually go for consumables like food, cosmetics vs collectibles cos I'm more practical. Also, GG says to support their merch within reasonable means so that's what I'm doing. Just buying things that I'm interested to try and not because it has their faces or names slapped on it. In a way, this suits me cos I like trying new brands and stuff anyway.
9. Keeping a Yizhan archive
Photos, weblinks, videos, songs, fan fics list..my phone is full of these things now. I think my Yizhan photo gallery is only second to the folder with my dogs' pictures. But how can you resist when we are blessed with new pics of them almost every week?
10. Camp for livestreams
I'm lucky I live in the same time zone as the boys so I don't have to wake up in the wee hours of the morning just to watch something. But that's the thing, being in the same time zone sometimes make me feel like I HAVE to watch that thing live because, why not? Why wait? Not shy to admit that I once watched a live programme in the middle of work but I made sure I finished what needed to be done. I think so long as we don't let these livestream schedules run our lives, there's no harm in camping for them.
11. Watch c entertainment
I am one of those who used to pass over Chinese productions, simply because it's a Chinese production. Not in a scoffing manner but I'm just genuinely not interested in them nor the celebs. I was more of a US/UK production kind of person, occasionally Korean/Japanese. Now, I'm learning to enjoy them although I just watch those with GGDD in them. No energy to follow other Chinese celebs anyway. The other programme I'm contemplating watching even if it doesn't have them in it is Who's the Murderer (GG was only in one of the cases) cos I like the premise. On the flip side, now my sis and partner keep making fun of me cos to them, all I do now is "watch China shows". That is so not true. Or is it?
12. Write fan mail
I wrote a letter to GG once. A long-ass letter. I hope he read it. That's all I'm gonna say. 🙈 hahahahaha
13. Desire to visit China
China was never on my list of to-visit places. Just wasn't interested. I have been to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou a few times in the past for work but even then, I never felt the urge to revisit for leisure. Now, I wanna visit GG and DD's home town, visit Chongqing to see the graffiti wall with Bobii Zanbii on it, eat mala hotpot and try out their sauce recipe, attend BXG events, dine at the CQL restaurant... Watching TTXS also made me realise that there are many beautiful places in China with natural landscapes and all that. I used to be clouded by my disdain for the regime and some behaviour of its citizens but now, I recognise that the country is separate from the regime or a smaller group of poorly behaved citizens. China is a beautiful country and I would love to visit some day. I will fly over immediately on my own if someone gives me tix to ADLAD!!
Well, I hope some of these things resonate with you. Feel free to share the OOC things that Yizhan made you do.
Once again, Happy BXG Day! 🐢💛🐆🐇🐷🌶🦁🍑🐶🍍🛹🎋

Okay so I'm just gonna ramble here hope you don't mind, also JJBA spoilers ahead-
So the other day I had shared a head canon with a friend of mine on Discord involving Polnareff from JJBA. It basically goes something along the lines of this:
I'd been rereading JJBA and I was thinking about part three, mainly the fight between Polnareff and Vanilla Ice. One thing that stuck out to me through my second read through was how Polnareff knew that Vanilla Ice was a vampire and how he knew how to kill him. I found it kinda odd how someone who only met Dio once knew this valuable information. After all the knowledge of vampires and their weaknesses are kept under tight secrecy. There's only a few people in the world who know about this kind of thing.
So how did Jean Polnareff, our goofball Frenchman know about something so top secret? Well........I thought about it and came up with this.
What if Polnareff was somehow related to the Zeppeli family?
Think about it. In part two Battle Tendency it was confirmed by Caesar and Lisa Lisa that Caesar had younger siblings who he'd left behind. Perhaps one of those siblings had decided to go and look for their beloved older brother, desperate to know what had happened to him and why he had left. They search and search and finally find out what had happened to their brother.
They find out about the stone mask and the existence of vampires. They learn about the fate of the Zeppeli/Joestar bloodlines and how it always ends in blood shed and sorrow. This sibling heart broken and fearing the worst decides to keep all of this a secret, detaching the Zeppelis from this cursed fate. Later in this siblings life they get married and have children of their own, and then their children get married and so on. It wouldn't be unbelievable for a female member of this bloodline to marry someone from another country. For them to move away from Italy to basically start fresh and try to protect their loved ones from the whole vampire mess. And it works for awhile. Anything involving the vampires and such are nothing more than stories.
It'd make sense if Polnareff was somehow related to this bloodline, and how he'd come across this information. Plus there's other things that help out with this head canon. For example-
Zeppelis are known to be loyal to their families, and when we first meet Polnareff he tells us that he's on a mission to avenge his sister. He's got a huge thing for loyalty and family. He's also brave and loyal to his friends and with all the near death experiences that always happen it would also make sense if he was related to a Zeppeli. Due to him avoiding death so often bad shit happens to him such as losing his friends and all the other things he'd been through. As the years go by and the more he barely avoids fate his life gets more difficult and tragic than it originally was. Almost like the universe in some sick twisted manner is trying to balance things out for the two bloodlines.
I also think this head canon could work given that we the readers know very little of Polnareff's backstory other than he and his sister were close and he's out to find her killer. There's no mention of his parents or any other family members which is strange if you think about it.
Anyways that's all I got so far for this head canon, a little bit of food for thought if you catch my drift. I just thought it would be interesting if this was the case and I thought I would share it with all you lovely peeps. Let me know what you guys think!!

just saw the ask about foolish being an end avatar and as someone formerly obsessed with tma i am asking for all of ur dsmp character avatar headcanons
yahhh we where talking about this earlier and I'm still thinking about some (I also got side tracked when someone in my replies causally said Patrick Bateman was a dream smp character 😭) I'll just give you the ones I've thought a lot about
ponk is definetly marked by a few entities. the lonely (obviously), the hunt (sam keycard chase, fucking horrifying), the stranger (sammywammy123 which I'll elaborate on), the corruption(interactions with the egg, I think all eggpire people where victims to the corruption) . If he was an avatar tho I've been stuck between the lonely and the web. lonely again is obvious, shes been isolated a lot and even aa a result of her own actions. but web also fits since hes kinda got involvement in most if not all the major conflicts on the server yk
Sam is absolutely marked by the corruption, the buried, maybe even the flesh because of his interactions with the egg. but as an avatar I feel like he fits well with the stranger. theres such a loss of self and confusion of identities in his character and if you want to view that through a horror lense then you could make the case that he is losing his humanity and becoming something other as he becomes a mockery of himself
foolish is either avatar of the end or the vast. I'm kinda leaning end because the end is so passive but powerfully foreboding and I think that sums up foolish's character well. he has also been marked with associated egg entities but also the hunt maybe to the point of serving the hunt or the slaughter while he was young and reckless. that would apply to eret as well. I feel like eret also maybe has some connection to the desolation
the egg is interesting because I cant decide if it serves the corruption or the web. egg!bbh is definetly the web tho hes such an evil mastermind I'm in love with him. but also the corruption is pure genuine dedication to another and I think the egg forced both bbh and skeppy into that to ruinous extents. actually typing this out the egg is definetly the web but skephalo specifically fell victim to the corruption. they both walked willingly into their own mutual corrupted destruction out of love for eachother aaaaa fuck god they make me INSANE ok ok anyways
like I just know that c puffy is an antivaxxer, I just know she would be an avatar of the spiral, next question
techno and prolly eryn are avatars of the slaughter. I've been tabbing out to the tma wiki just to get my facts straight and it litterally says "unpredictable, unmotivated violence." with avatars being "wild killers" and if that doesnt scream blood for the blood god pounding in technos head then idk what does.
as far as artifacts go, the disks are most definetly artifacts of the web. like it's a no brainer that dream would be a web avatar but the disks are such integral to weaving the events of the server. memory books marked by the web also. nukes are extinction.
the button room and pogtopia by extension are buried sites, so is the egg room like the egg stands for what it stands for but the whole room is tight and claustrophobic and has a history of trapping people in it. lmanhole is a place that reeks of the extinction. the prison is definetly a place of the desolation and the dark. the beeduo mansion is claimed by the lonely, all of snow Chester is claimed by the lonely. its filled with fog and empty and infinite. poor tubbo has been claimed by the lonely hes far far gone. foolish's desert is the vast, its infinite and inescapable and his temple is huge and seemingly endless height.
ok this was so long I hope it doesnt read like crazy rambling hfjdjd. I'd love to hear anybody's thoughts on dsmp tma alignment because obviously these are just my off the top of my head alignments. plus I don't know the ins and outs of every character so if I skipped stuff feel free to send me an ask with your hcs

Is it just me, or is Leah the "Anti-Carol," as in who Carol might have been if she had gotten into a different group early on in the ZA? Also very similar traumatic events, such as losing a child, rationalizing evil deeds, and at the same time showing acts of compassion? Another reason 'Deah" will never be a thing - too many dysfunctions separately and together.
Yeah, I don't think you're wrong here. Many people have noticed similarities between Leah and Carol. In fact, @wdway went into the tags about a week ago to see what a certain ship was talking about. Let's just say we were laughing pretty hard at what they think (#sorrynotsorry, #WeAreShippersThatsOurRight). But one thing they aren't wrong about is parallels between Leah and Carol. And remember that they even very obviously paralleled them by having mirror sequences with Daryl and each of them during 10x18 and 10x21 (the spear-fishing). I'm not sure entirely what to make of the Carol parallels, but they're interesting.
Your final line about them being dysfunctional did give me some thoughts, though.
It's almost like Leah represents both Beth and Carol. The two different sides of her personality represent each of them. She's almost her own duality pairing in a way. (That takes talent. ;D) The side Leah showed to Daryl in 10x18 really was the lighter, sweeter, more vulnerable side of herself. (Obviously Beth). But she was hiding this whole other tough/killer side of herself from him.
I'd even argue that the way he's interacted with Leah since meeting her again this season feels more like how he interacts with Carol than how he ever did with Beth. They're friends, and he genuinely cares about her wellbeing, but nothing about the way he interacted with Leah in the past few episodes felt romantic. Just...more like how he feels about Carol. Or Michonne or Rosita or any other member of TF.
Anyway, kind of rambling over here, but this is all very interesting to think about. Thanks Dear! Xoxo! 🎃😋

It's interesting to read your thoughts on name of the wind, which is one of my favourite books ever. But, I'm looking for new things to read, and was wondering, which books do you find great and would recommend? Preferably adult fantasy, but really any genre goes.
Oooooh. *rubs hands together* This will be a long post.I actually don’t read that much fantasy anymore, for various reasons, mostly because I don’t have time. But I would definitely recommend The Gentleman Bastard Sequence by Scott Lynch, if you haven’t read it already. It does a lot of the same things that Kingkiller Chronicle does but, in my opinion, much better. If you want something even darker and edgier, I would suggest you check out Joe Abercrombie’s books. They are a little too dark for my taste, but they are very entertaining nonetheless. There’s also Wheel of Time. It’s a classic. A very flawed classic with a lot of problems, but I still love it. Though it might be nostalgia. It’s very long though, just as a warning. If you like Rothfuss’ style, you should check out Neil Gaiman. American Gods is my favourite of his, but all his work is great, books and comic books (like Sandman).Other than that... Catch-22 by Joseph Heller, my favourite book of all time. It’s got absolutely nothing in common with The Name of the Wind and it isn’t fantasy but if you enjoy word-play and experimental writing, no book does it better than Catch-22. Its use of language is like no other book I’ve ever read. It’s not purple prose, it’s ultra-violet prose steeped in absurdism. It’s fantastic. Everyone should read it (and of course a lot of people has).If you like first-person oral narratives, Frankenstein is a must. It’s very rambling and super melodramatic, but it’s relatively short and the story and characters are really interesting.Crime and Punishment is a classic that more people should read. It has a reputation for being boring but it’s really not, it’s very tense and creepy, and psychologically fascinating. And I will always recommend David Almond. He is in my opinion one of the best writers of today. Many people believe that a poetic, beautiful prose needs to have long, flowery sentences and complicated words, but David Almond writes poetically with few words, short one-clause sentences and a North English accent. He is amazing. His books are kind of fantasy/magical realism hybrids. Skellig and The Fire Eaters are his two best books (every time I reread one of them I’m stunned by how good they really are), though I also love Clay because it is fucking terrifying. Yes, they’re children’s books, but that is not a bad thing at all.Stephen King. The Dark Tower if you want a longer series. King has of course written a lot of books, and most of them go from decent to really good. My favourite is The Long Walk - though it’s depressing as hell - and Pet Sematary, The Stand and The Shining. His short stories are also really good, in fact I would say a lot of them are better than his novels. The Martian by Andy Weir for more first person goodness. This book just makes me happy.Perfume by Patrick Süskind. It’s nothing like the movie, if you’ve seen it, it’s actually surprisingly funny in a mean-spirited, sarcastic way, but it’s also creepy.Exquisite Corpse by Poppy Z. Brite (Billy Martin). Serial killer love story. As the title implies, you’ll need a strong stomach and a tolerance for gore. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. This is one of those books that is an experience to read, it might change you. Keep a few tissues handy, though.Candide by Voltaire. It’s a “bad things keep happening to the main character and it’s hilarious” book. It’s still funny 300 years after it was written, so that says a lot.And Watership Down by Richard Adams. It’s basically epic fantasy without actually being fantasy, and also the main characters are rabbits.I’m sure you’ve heard of, and even read, a few of these books already. But anyway. Those are my recommendations. Hope you’ll enjoy them!
