Once the bugs get ironed out, AI Image Generation will forever change propaganda and how easy it is to make and distribute.

I FOUND A NEW AND SUPER COOL AF AI IMAGE GENERATOR!!!
Hey guys! Long time no see!
Two days ago I discovered the existance of Bing's AI Image Generator, based on DALL-E 3
And I gotta say, IT'S FUCKING ABSURD
Here's some of the images that I've generated!!
@lady-lycany YOU SHOULD TRY THIS OUT!!!
Edit: If you add "cel-shade" or "cel-shaded" (it's better to do it at the end of the request), you'll get FAR BETTER IMAGES
(Spoiler: most of these use the cel shade, lmao)

you know that photoshop has existed since the 90s right? people have been making fake images forever, AI aint special
…And my statement still stands. And yes AI is special. It isn’t a matter of what can and can’t be done, it’s a matter of how easy it can be done. That’s literally what I wrote on that post. AI isn’t going to create a new type of propaganda that couldn’t already be manually made. The difference is how easy it can be made. If the French government wanted to make those images, then they could’ve easily afforded to hire some actors, stage it, and take the photos themselves. If they didn’t want to go that far, they could’ve hired photoshop artists. Photoshopping something to look extremely realistic isn’t easy. It requires real hours to learn real skills and then real hours to go craft said fake image.
The images in Nina’s screenshots weren’t created using either of those methods. A random man on the internet typed in some keywords into a machine and minutes later copy and pasted it online. That’s it. No skill, no photo shoot. I commented on how AI is going to make propaganda easier, and nothing you can say about photoshoots or photoshop will discredit that because at the end of the day, using an AI, typing in a phrase, and getting an image will always be easier, require less effort and skill, and cheaper than the alternatives.
The problem here isn’t what a well-funded government can create. Governments have unlimited resources to create all the propaganda they want. Each individual person, however does not. Not everyone can afford a photo shoot, and not everyone has photoshop skills to create propaganda that supports their warped narrative. But anyone can go online and create realistic images to support whatever they want. The ease of creation is what my problem was. And, as I wrote on the original post, once the bugs get ironed out, and these images become indistinguishable, we’re going to see misinformation spread at alarmingly increased rates.
