Unknown's regard towards the MC

Unknown/Ray/Saeran is interesting in regards to how he feels about and he treats as well as his intentions towards the MC of Mystic Messenger. He's the antagonist, and a creepy one at that, but he's also a "bad but sad boy." I can't help help but dissect how he's written as the antagonist of a visual novel/otome game. Just as a note, this is a long one.

Let's start from the beginning and work our way through.

Our first possible interaction with him: the prologue bad end. You refuse to co-operate and lie saying their is no way to enter the apartment (As players you might have just been trying to escape the obvious sketchy situation, but there is a reason the rest of the cast wants to protect her, it's because she's so innocent.) If you back out at just the right moment, he laughs at your joke but then warns you if it went on longer he would have snapped. Of course if you don't, he reveals he can see you're lying, which blows his cover as to the fact he's been watching you. Why did Unknown choose you for plan? Who knows? He just needed some random innocent person, which would push V to hold a party and cause enough confusion to hack in. Was he specifically aiming for a girl? Maybe, seeing as most of the group is made of dudes, Rika was the same gender, probably a good replacement as coordinator. Anyways, he probably doesn't think much of you. Once you fail, he just opts to find someone else. He would get rid of you, except for the fact that you're cute. This shows he at least finds you attractive. He decides he'll let you live as his assistant, something he wants ever since he heard his brother had one. If you wish to leave, he'll tell you he can't allow that because you know about him, he can't let you be a loose cannon. If you do agree to go with him, he's ecstatic, thinking you're like him. He promises to treat you well and be very nice to you. It's still a bad ending because you don't have a choice but to go with him. Also the ending didn't mention this, but if you're going to Magenta you're going to be drugged!

So he finds you attractive enough that he wishes to keep you, and hopes you'll be just like him...Mr. Trauma-boy Crazy-pants. I get the sense from this he's lonely and wants a companion who will see his side of things.

Throughout the game, he tends to go after you first out of everybody. The exceptions here are the bad endings for Regular route and Deep Route where he goes after Yoosung after he loses touch with reality (He's easy prey), or he captures V when thinks he's spying around.

The message he leaves you after you're dropped off is: "Don't worry, things will be really fun from now on. I'll come and get you soon."

You've already helped him commence his plans, so you seem to be a useful ally/tool. You also innocently decided to help a complete stranger, which makes you more cute. He seems more attached to you, but not completely, as I'll explain further down.

In the first bad relationship endings for the regular routes, he doesn't display much in the terms of attraction. In Jaehee's he just says he's going to take everyone early because she's not doing anything, and in Zen's he decides to get someone else to do her role while she's taken to Magenta to be re-educated ("You'll learn that we're the only ones who love you.") To early to decide anything. She's attractive sure, and nice, but she's a slacker. What she needs is a good fine-tuning.

Things don't pick up until Yoosung's second bad ending. Instead of forgiving V and understanding him, we are suspicious of V, and drive a further wedge between him and Yoosung. So much so, Yoosung wants to run away with us, more specifically leave the group. Unknown can't have that, that party needs to be held, we certainly can't leave. So he tricks us into thinking we were right and V can't be trusted, and he's just an innocent guy wrapped up in the turmoil. He offers Yoosung something he can't refuse, information on Rika, to get us into his car. That's when we start to feel suspicion and he knocks out Yoosung to make him his hostage and talk to us alone. He tells us he's only unconscious and he's his precious hostage. Hostage for who? Hostage for us, that's who. I assume he was in the front seat or else how could he knock him out. So Yoosung is unconscious in the front seat and we're unable to get him out of there. If we were to try anything, well he's right next to the guy. So Unknown takes off his mask to talk to us, probably feeling more personable. He tells us it was fun pretending to be scared, but not as fun as pretending to be the student...queuing us in that he was the guy who led us to the apartment. He's almost nostalgic as he remembers how we did everything he said then, but now we've gone and ruined his plan. He reassures us that it's okay, all he has do is re-educate us, and we can even decide how we start. He'll turn us into a proper assistant yet. At the ending he throws what Yoosung and we have been saying before this ending, 'how about we just leave out the traitors and be together," of course, with him saying it it implies he's just going to steal us from Yoosung after re-educating us. After all, he did see us first, and we've been helping him up until recently, all we need is some fixing and we'll be perfect.

Yes, in that bad ending it seems he likes us. However, around the end of the route things take a drastic turn. In Yoosung's route, Seven had discovered the IP address of the hacker's hideout, and was heading out to shut down their operations. Everything is burning down around him, all thanks to his brother. His final act of revenge is to make Luciel realize his sins and then have them all burn together. He's also going to have you burn too, for the heck of it; earlier in the route he had you trapped in your room...for seemingly no reason but to cause chaos (He didn't even come to get you before it was fixed), so why wouldn't he put you in harm's way again. Yes, you were his tool, his agent so to speak, but since he's done, you're done too. He no longer needs you, so he's going to kill you, as an added kick it'll make his brother suffer knowing he failed to protect you. If you want to think of it in a romantic sense, he wants to commit suicide with you and his brother. Of course it all depends on which ending you're looking at. In the original ending, he mentions he's going to blow up both Magenta and our apartment, and says Seven can make amends by allowing them all to die together; it seems romantic in a twisted way. He offhandedly mentions Yoosung will die too, forgetting the kid was there. When they wrestle him for the detonator, Unknown tells Yoosung that if the button is pressed, we will die too, like that was supposed to motivate him to stop. Unknown had lost his mind at this point, thinking it was a good thing to die in that moment, (Don't be scared, kid, your girlfriend will be dying with us.) Then he briefly captures Yoosung and tortures him, egging him on to talk about us as he tortures him. Either this was brought on because he wants to know why we're so great that Yoosung would save us, or he genuinely wants to hear about us; he's crazy at this point, so it could be either or both.

Now in the Yoosung Bad Ending 3, Seven instead of freezing up panics when he sees the detonator, knowing it will blow us up, then Unknown laughs and says we're not the only one going boom, as they're going up in smoke too. This purpose seems more malevolent, killing us as we have no more purpose to him instead of romantically dying together. In this one, Yoosung sacrifices himself to get the detonator away from him and ends up being indefinitely captured by him. While captured, the threat to keep him in line is no only will Unknown possibly mess with the RFA, he might also bring us to where they are. Seeing as he's torturing Yoosung, it's safe to say he'll probably torture us too. At this point, Unknown is just not happy Yoosung foiled his plans for revenge on his brother. As for what he thinks of us, he probably just sees us as a tool, something to release his anger on should the time come. He may have been attracted to us, but his plans come first.

Now let's talk about Jaehee's route, at least Bad relationship ending 2, as he doesn't really show up in the route aside from those. In this ending, V has apparently settled things between Mint Eye and the RFA, sacrificing himself to end the fighting. Yet, Unknown has still decided to cause trouble seeing as Luciel didn't play by the rules, so neither will he. He decided to go after you first because you seemed distracted. When you ask who he is, he asks you to call him an angel because he's delivering you to Paradise. He wonders if you wanted to see him (leaning on the 4th wall there), so he promises to spend so much time with you during your re-education that you will start to get sick of him. He also mentions he has a fun program planned for you that will probably make you tremble more than you're doing already.

So, it seems he wants to give personal attention to your re-education. Is this this because he feels this sort of possessiveness and responsibility towards you. He's the one to put you in there, and he's the one to take you out. You're his little tool of chaos, you're his assistant, so he has responsibility for you.

Now let's look at Zen's route. Unknown doesn't make himself known (ha) until near the end of the route. We get a little insight into Mint Eye's plans for the MC and RFA being discussed by Unknown to someone else. He's surprised we were able to pull it off (-_- What?), but everything is going according to their plans. (Question: why did he recruit us for this if he didn't think we could do it?) Apparently, we don't have to be good at the job he gives us, we just have to be willing to do it. Anyways, moving on...he says the plan is to capture the MC, which will eventually bring the RFA to them. Apparently the plan here is to bring in an innocent person so V will be pushed to throw a party, cause enough confusion and chaos that Unknown can hack in and obtain the guest information, and then kidnap the MC to cause even more confusion and chaos so the RFA can be captured and brought to Mint Eye. He then talks about his plans for the RFA, saying they'll tortured to the point where once they are nice to the members again, they'll be grateful to them. Zen then has a vision of MC being kidnapped; it doesn't actually happen, but in the dream we're told if we behave he'll treat us like a princess. The MC is referred to as a princess several times in the game. It's a term of endearment, so it's used by Zen and Jumin (who can actually treat you like a princess), but it's also used by Unknown, Ray and Saeran, for different reasons. When Unknown uses it in the dream, it means he'll treat you really nicely. Other times he uses it he seems to be implying that the MC is someone whom everyone wants to protect, someone who's sheltered away, a damsel in distress. When he actually shows up to kidnap you, he goes on talking about how he's taking you to a great place, so you should just come with him willingly. Yes, Zen comes in to save you, and he takes this moment to mock him and criticize the group. He points out that they shouldn't make a woman live on her own with bomb, even though having her live there was a part of his plan (He's pointing out they should have more common sense). He threatens to blow up the apartment if Zen tries anything, killing all of them. He's willing to die for the cause, and he doesn't care if you do as well; he's attracted to you, holds responsibility over you, but isn't in love with you. He tells Zen to watch as he takes "his girl" away. That's when you either bite his hand or wait for Zen to save you. He threatens to blow up the place, but apparently he doesn't because you go back there for the Valentine's day DLC. Maybe he had a change of heart, or didn't see the point because we already escaped.

Let's look at his bad endings, this is where Unknown shows more attraction to us. First, there is the 2nd Bad relationship ending. Basically, Zen doesn't get to us in time. Besides where he talks about how you don't have a choice and how you just waited mostly, he talks about what's going to happen. He says if re-educates you just a little bit, you will let go of everything and depend on him. He promises to protect you and give you an exciting life. He's mostly just excited on the fact you get to be "his." Here is my theory: despite everything, he's looking for a companion. He remembers his brother and his brother took care of him, but his brother "betrayed" him. He's lonely, and he wants that again, but not with him; he wants it with someone where he can be the protector, as he's not weak anymore; he'll also do a much better job than his brother did. The MC is attractive enough, maybe she can fill that role.

Then there's the third Bad Ending, where Zen also doesn't get there in time, of course in this ending we seem to go with him willingly. We are not happy we were forced to live with a bomb so we don't trust the RFA anymore. Unknown tells a story about a Prince and a Princess (Zen is Princely, and we are the RFA's Princess). The princess was being kept in a tall tower by a group of liars. She hoped the prince would save her, but he was just another liar. Luckily, there was someone better for her. There was an angel (him) watching her from afar, who wanted to bring her to paradise. Wisely, she believed him; going with him to paradise and becoming happy forever. The prince ended up following her, but unlike the princess it took him a bit for the angel to tame him. Unknown drugged and hypnotized Zen into becoming just a role to play, and it's implied he tortured him too. Unknown is crafting him into a prince to romance the princess (us), but Zen is having trouble focusing due to the drugs. I'm not sure how long that game would go, if he would even let us be together. Maybe Zen would be just some toy for us to romance, maybe he'll never be done 'practicing.' Either way, Unknown heavily believes Zen to be a liar, and not good enough for us. I think he's a hypocrite, as Unknown has pretended to be different people before. Unknown is insane, and insane people tend to be hypocrites. He doesn't think anyone is good enough for us, this is mainly because he believes he's better than all of them; we don't count as we're an innocent brought into this.

That's it for the regular routes. Now on to the Deep Routes.

First let's start with Jumin's Route, Unknown hardly shows up here. They run into him near the end of the route. Seven recognizes him, and Unknown asks how we're doing, queuing Seven in that he was the one behind everything. In the third Bad Ending, Unknown is waiting for you at the apartment. He expresses frustration that Seven basically destroyed his group, and now he wants to make him pay. His savior told him that in order to do that he had to wait for us at our apartment and then press the button. It doesn't seem like he knows exactly what it does in this route, as he's surprised when he hears the countdown. He does want to hurt us though, as he knows Seven cares about us; at least it was his job to protect us. There's no sign of attraction from him in this route, as he barely showed up. When he did, he was so mad, that we're just a means of revenge for him. Yeah he's attracted to us, but when he's mad, revenge comes first.

Seven's route the attraction comes through more. When Unknown realizes he's been tracked by his brother, he decides to speed up his plans to hack into the security system and kidnap the MC. As soon as he starts making his plans, he starts talking to us as if we can hear him ("Just you wait MC, I'll bring you to Mint Eye first.") You usually apostrophe like this if you're excited or anxious to see someone, or if you really wish someone could hear what you had to say to them. It shows he really wants to induct us. There's a story mode where he's talking to his savior about why he's leaving so suddenly, explaining that he wants to induct the girl he mentioned to them. Then he actually arrives at the apartment, telling us to be careful of the glass as he comes in (kudos to him). He explains to us he's the hacker of the security system and the one who led us to the apartment, as well as the one who sent the invites to paradise. He says the RFA is filled with liars and false hope which will be explained when we get to the second location. When we refuse, he tells us we don't have a say because he put us here, so he gets to take us out. This is all so everyone can be happy, including us. If you question the promise of Happiness, he's ecstatic thinking you're like him and promises special treatment for you at Magenta. If you still refuse to go, calling out for Seven, he gets furious. He claims Seven will not save us, and even if he tries it's too late. He then says he will cleanse us of our false faith and show us true paradise. He probably was reminded of how he wanted Seven to save him back in the day and he never did, and if Seven did try to save us, that would make him more furious; so Luciel would save her but not his own brother, huh? He wouldn't want to give him that satisfaction. He doesn't want us to believe in the fantasy he once believed in, so I guess he feels he's 'saving' us this way. He warns us that we better come with him while he's still rational. Seven then shows up, and Unknown grumbles that he was hoping to make Seven suffer, probably by taking away the person he was trying to protect. The brothers talk for a bit about their relationship and the past until MC is brought up again. Seven begs Saeran to let us go, as we nothing to do with what's going on between them. Saeran counters that since he brought us there, we're his. He then quickly figures out that Seven has feelings for us, and realizes he could torture us to hurt Seven. He's attracted to us, but his revenge comes first. If we try to get away, he warns us not to fight back as he will hurt us. He starts getting ecstatic thinking of how to torture us, implying most people have to go through it to get into Mint Eye anyway. Luckily, we get away from him.

In the first Bad Ending of 707's route, we don't manage to get away from him. He takes us away, planning on playing with us to inflict pain on Seven. So he tortures us, takes pictures of us in pain, and sends them to Seven. He's talking to us, but we might as well not be there; we're not even responding. He decides to make it seem like we ultimately enjoy what he's doing to us, make it seem like we don't care if we're rescued by him or not. So, basically Stockholm syndrome. We are very compliant at this point, either we actually do have Stockholm syndrome, or we're tortured to the point we'll do anything he tells us to do (The difference here is we still want to leave, still are hoping we'll be rescued). We're so obedient here, to the point we give him exactly what he wants. He seems to like that about us. He decides then to have us after photo taking. In our state of mind...yeesh.

Later in the route, when we find him at Mint Eye, we try convincing him to hear us out. When we first run into him, he doesn't like the fact we're friendly with each other. Of course, he does say it's nice to see us again. He probably doesn't want Seven to be happy with us, not that he holds anything against us. If we wish to run, he comments how we're so naive. Once Seven begins to explain himself, Saeran warns us not to trust him, as he was abandoned we will be too. If we tell him it was a misunderstanding, he believes we're brainwashed. If we say we'll be the judge of what happens, he says we're brave but foolish to follow Seven.

In the 2nd bad relationship ending of the route, he mistakes us for his Mom in a dissociative fit. This is probably because his brother is nearby, and we're the only woman nearby, he was probably brought back to his time as a kid. That doesn't count.

In the Third Bad Ending of the route, he tricks us into thinking us trying to convince him worked. He secretly leads us to a cell where we'll be locked in a corner until we're 'tamed.' Seven begs for us to be released, which Saeran doesn't wish to do. We are useless in his plans to become a better hacker, he only needs his brother. However, he thinks he can use us to keep Seven in line. He promises a good life for us as long Seven listens to him, but we'll be tortured in front of him should he misbehave. He likes us enough to treat us nicely, but his revenge comes first. Seven then threatens him into letting us go. Saeran then says his savior told him he shouldn't desire too many things. He then decides to let us go. So that says he would've liked to have us around.

Then there's the Secret endings, of course the reaction to us in those is not strong there. The only real reaction we get is that he mentions us in his apostrophe to Seven. He says that us and Vanderwood will join Mint Eye, which was his original plan for us, so he might react similarly to all the bad endings.

So far, he would like us as a companion, especially if we're like him and have a dark broken side. He genuinely believes he's doing us a good turn, and wants to 'help' us. Of course, he'd like us to be useful to him. As well as we can't come in between him and his revenge.

Let us now look at the Christmas DLC: In this DLC, the plan just seems to be kidnapping us. Of course, that isn't abundantly clear, especially seeing as the MC is super naive. First, you get a text asking if you remember him (I'd be pretty disappointed if you don't), he says he's been wondering how you've been doing and asks if you want to see him. If you ask him about the other members, he types you this madness mantra of how much he wants to get revenge. Of course, if you say you want to know who he is, he says to be patient in getting to know him, as he has a lot of questions too (By the time we're familiar with each other, a lot of things will have changed.) In his second text, he goes on about he feels like in his attempts to see us he'll be blocked. (I want to play with you...) He continues by mentioning the event, but not knowing about it. He asks you to invite him to the event (You won't keep secrets from me, would you?). You can send him the address to the apartment or the event. With the apartment, he comments he already knows it, but it's still difficult. With the event's address, he realizes that it's a Christmas charity party being thrown. The last text says he still has trouble getting through, but if he knew a moment where the red-head wasn't paying attention he'd find a weak spot, like the end of the event. So he asks for end-time. We can tell him the event's over, or we can tell him the event ends at nine. If we tell him it's over, he knows we're lying and plans to attack the RFA. If we do tell him the end-time, we remind him he said he'd come to get me soon. He's happy we remembered, (I'm liking you more and more), promises us that we'll have more fun with him than the RFA. Later he gives us a call, in that call he hints he can see us trembling with fear after he freaks us out with his creepy singing. No matter what we tell him, that we want our gift or we don't, he tells us he'll just do what he wants. He's our Santa, watching over us, difference being that he despises nice children. Of course, he encourages us to be nice until he comes to see us, just to see what will happen. He gives us a text later based on the person we bonded with the most. He likes to make us feel guilty about bonding with them. For Zen, he claims he's an actor so he's probably just pretending his feelings for us. For Yoosung, he claims Yoosung's eyes are on someone else and we're living in someone else's shadow. For Jaehee, he claims that she works so hard and is constantly busy so she doesn't have time for you. For Jumin, he claims his trust in you will break once he finds out you've been texting Unknown, you've basically betrayed him. For Seven, he says he will get quite upset when he finds out despite everything he's done to protect you, you've basically betrayed that. Then the event happens, but you don't see him until you get back home.

Most people I see react to this ending are not surprised and actually wanted to see him, but at least one person I saw was surprised it happened. So story wise, the MC probably didn't know this was going to happen. She is rather naive, she probably thought he was going to show up at the party. Also probably thought she could avoid a kidnapping. He is not a great guy to be with, he's emotionally manipulative.

When you see him, he wonders if you honestly thought the place would be empty, and hopes you had the happiest day of your life. He comments on how strong the security was, but he got through thanks to you. He wants you to admit you like him, (players maybe, MC who knows?) why else would you help him? Were you just being nice? (Some people have that problem). He tells you if you admit you like him he'll make your Christmas unforgettable. Of course, MC is trembling, so he wonders if she's scared of him or what might happen? He then critiques us saying if we're scared of what might happen, we shouldn't have contacted him. We were quite bold. He's fully down to believing we like him, regardless of what the reality is, and that we want to spend Christmas with him. He goes to tell us his idea of Christmas, thinking we'll love it. He tells us about Santa, and how he supposedly gives presents to nice children, however he's just a made up figure adults use to control their children. People are naive and believe in him, and so the bad people like him should just feel guilty on days like Christmas. A better version of Christmas for him would not have a Santa, and instead he'd take revenge on the adults who made him feel guilty. "And bad children like you and me...will get our presents." MC can tell this guy is unhinged and tries to run, but he tells her it's too late. He promises to show us real happiness, promising a Christmas so sweet we'll never want to return to reality. His Christmas has no naughtiness, no guilt, just Christmas. It then cuts to black as he laughs evilly and hysterically. At the end of the chatroom where the RFA is freaking out over our disappearance, he comes in and says he'll be taking "good care of the princess" Every day will be Christmas for us. So it ends with us being taken captive, enjoying Christmas with Unknown...forever. The CG looks tame enough, it implies we're his gift. We have a lot of presents. Of course, we're not smiling, we seem pretty blank. I guess I wouldn't know what to think.

This DLC re-establishes some things: He thinks we're like him, he wants to play with us, likes us when we're obedient, and considers us a "Princess." Also wants to treat us well, but I think that's mainly for his sake.

Press F to pay respect to our Vanderwood, he never ceases to amuse us. :) He's basically promoted as Seven's nanny now. Give him some spotlight please Cheritz. 🙏🙏

Finally, I read the Judge End. It's sad how the RFA basically torn apart (I did agree that there should be a name change but throwing away the name and breaking apart ain't the same thing... *insert sad V emoji*) And it's absurb how harsh you would need to act in order to unlock it. At least now I totally understand why it only took a few 'soft' choices to lead you to the other ending, and why Cheritz seems to push us into getting Forgive End. They feel the need to sink us with lessons about forgiveness and keep saying that's the right thing to do because of Korean culture, I suppose. Be warned, this is just my own speculation.

When I was in junior high school, a certain Korean TV series was aired at noon. It was unfortunate that I had to go to school every afternoon so I didn't get to watch all of it, but that series left such a big impression on me. Its name is Phantom, an SBS series about hacking and cyber crimes. I remember this detail the most: a girl was cyber bullied to the point that she committed suicide. At that time it was so unfamiliar to me that I remember it even now. If you guys read Chinese web novels then you'd know that the netizens there don't really care if news posted online is truthful or not. If it is said that this celebrity or that idol had an addiction, committed adultery,... then they'll just assume it's true, and swarm said celebrity's Weibo with hate speech. And do you know about a case where an actor in Japan was revealed to have a girlfriend, his fans felt so angry and 'betrayed' that they pressured a production he was starring in to cancel his role? In the end, he got removed from his role for real. Does this feel familiar? That's right, it's Zen's route in a nutshell right there, where Jaehee was so worried about MC and Zen dating, because she knew fans would turn hostile to Zen once they found out he had a girlfriend "who weren't themselves". I don't know what's it like in other countries, but here, in Asian countries, many of the netizens are just so... uncultured, if I dare say. It's not only these 3 countries, but probably all over the world, cases of cyber bullying are still happening. How convenient it is for people to just hide behind the screen and spit cruelty at others or play god. They curse and sneer at prople who they think that were in the wrong, while maintaining a high sense of moral for themselves.

With VAE, you can see such behaviors reflected in the 'wrong' choices, for example:

Rika: My thoughts are evil. No, it's all because of my head. This head of mine can think of nothing but dark things.

Rika: I wish this head of mine would stop working... So that I won't do anything. So that I can't do anything.

The players then have to choose from 2 options, including:

Maybe you've been too obsessed with saving others that you forgot how to save yourself.

Or:

You know, that'd be the way you can be the least of help for others.

To reach the Judge End, we need to choose the second choice (alongside a series of fixed choices before that of course). Honestly, that choice is way too cruel for me, we're basically telling her to shut down her brain and stop functioning here (which she did, she fell into a coma), but in order to reach Judge, I can't help but choosing it, since I knew even 1 'wrong' choice could possibly lead to Forgive and that sweet free talk would remain unlocked forevah. If judgement goes too far, it's no longer judgement but pure cruelty... is what I think Cheritz is trying to tell us here. They're telling us to be more understanding even only a little bit, and don't take malicious pleasure in judging other people, even if they are wrong, because you never know whether a life would be lost due to such malice. For me, sometimes it's hard to tell whether I was pleased to see Rika brought to jail since I felt bad for those she hurted, or because of pure pleasure in playing justice defender where you get to curse the bad person all you want. If it's the latter, then it's bad - said Cheritz, probably.

Oopsie, I nearly forgot I took this picture. The wording is harsh, but I laughed for that savage line of Jumin. xD This is the Judge End where RFA members were utterly disgusted by Rika and shooed her away from their lives. It was all fun and games I honestly think their reaction was understandable given how badly hurted they were when suddenly we were introduced to a "Rika's Circus"... How could something be both hilarious and cruel at the same time?? Seven being the narrator, Jaehee's and Yoosung's exaggeration, Zen talking in monotone, especially Jumin's high-pitched voice and Vanderwood's "why the hell am I here again?" confusion, they were so hilarious I couldn't stop chuckling. ......Sorry that I laughed, what's the password for Wi-Fi in hell?

Entertaining as it is, the "Rika's Circus" thing is still something Cheritz made to guilt trip us. It wasn't real, it was only a dream MC had, but after laughing, we started to feel guilty. Brilliant, I must admit.

Anyway, although I did feel bad for her since V's route actually I still consider what she did is wrong, and no excuse for her actions. You and I, we can understand her, like her, but should never justify her crimes by blaming her past and mental illness. Likewise, V haters could hate him all they/you want, he kinda sorta deserves it with what he did wrong, but don't point fingers at him for the crimes Rika did. Oh yeah, now that I think about it, Saeran is a combination of both V and Rika, don't you think? He was a mentally unstable innocent like V who was exploited and suffered by Rika's hands, then became an abuser himself like Rika. Remember who locked and chained? MC in her room, starved her, verbally abused and kinda sexually harassed her? And then guess who had to sneak in to give MC food to eat hm?

My point is, these 3 characters are flawed as hell and they did so many annoying wrongdoings, but instead of purely hating them, how about trying to understand them? - was probably what Cheritz wanted to convey. Not my words since I have love-hate relationship with them where sometimes I hate them and sometimes I don't. And I still can't like Rika one bit if you ask me, never was, never will.

If you guys read this till the end and agreed with me, then you'd probably love this underrated masterpiece too. It's a parody that whichever fandom you go, you'd still see people using it... the ultimate scene we don't understand but can still enjoy... xD

jaehee playlist musical analysis

hi today i decided to explain every song in this jaehee character playlist because it was Very Carefully Curated and every single song REALLY means something and bc i just want to.

I made this playlist entirely 100% based on the lyrics and message of the songs more than Anything else. The arrangement doesn't make musical sense, but it's all in the words. I didn't pick songs I believe she'd listen to or songs based on Vibe. Actually idk how many of them here fit this criteria. But think of the entire playlist as like... a jukebox musical of her character arc in an indie pop & co. soundtrack.

It’s long. There’s 46 songs. Here we go.

TRACK 01: ABBEY - MITSKI.

Okay so this is her in a song I think. It summarizes most of the Original Struggle, and because it is so general I figured it'd be a perfect opening track.

I am hungry / I have been hungry / I was born hungry / What do I need? - She's missing something and doesn't know what it is. She’s constantly expressing dissatisfaction with her life, says she wants more without really saying it, “I’m afraid I won’t be able to advance forward.”

There is a dream that I sometimes see / That only appears in the dark of sleep - Wants more but refuses to acknowledge it. The dream only shows up when she's truly alone with herself.

This is repeated and deepened all throughout the song, even acknowledging her desire to be "set free" at the end.

TRACK 02: MIRRORBALL - TAYLOR SWIFT.

"I will be whatever you want me and need me to be to make myself useful" but told very romantically. I do still headcanon that, in the past, she might've taken a more literal version of the attitude described in the song.

I've never been a natural / All I do is try, try, try / I'm still on that trapeze / I'm still trying everything / To keep you looking at me - a forced hand, there's an intent to belong or to get a reaction. Now apply this, instead of relationships, to the world of career.

TRACK 03: STAY SOFT - MITSKI.

Another song that dives more into the past. Talks about bottling up one's emotions, the hardening of one's heart for survival purposes. Drowning out anger, or fear, or sadness. Going into deep meta territory, perhaps even being willing to carry other people's strong emotions, but never yours. In many ways, I think this song describes how she dealt with grief. A sort of misplaced anger turned to numbness.

Fury, pure and silver / You grip it tight inside / Like a knife / It glints in your eye - She says in an opportunity that she resented her parents, held this anger at them... for dying. Of course, she was young then, so this was born out of immaturity and out of wanting to blame someone for her resentment at her situation, I would guess. She's more mad at destiny, at the world for this having been the deck of cards she's been dealt. At least, that's how I see it.

Open up your heart / Like the gates of hell - so, this association. Seeing the opening up of oneself and reveal of feelings as a sort of sacrifice for Reasons. I won't go deep into this now, there's other songs that touch it.

You stay soft, get beaten / Only natural to harden up - the ONLY way u can get shit done in the world is if you minimize your feelings and not let yourself drown in them. A conclusion she naturally came to. Somehow, she managed an almost healthy looking unemotionality. I think this aspect of her character is very up for debate. Whether she's made peace with her past, or if the undercurrent of anxiety driving her every turn reveals otherwise.

TRACK 04: THIS IS HOME - CAVETOWN.

Ah so this is the stockholm syndrome song. But not really stockholm syndrome-- more like being caged in a situation you know is bad for you (the c&r job), but not wanting to leave because you fear what would happen if you do, so you instead try to love it. That's how I interpret it in this context. Almost every lyric here points to something specific in her story, so here we go:

Often I am upset that I cannot fall in love but I guess / This avoids the stress of falling out of it - "Love interferes with my career but honestly I've had so many issues with it that I don't really mind giving it up."

Are you tired of me yet? / I'm a little sick right now but I swear / When I'm ready I will fly us out of here - There's like this anxiety she feels about her personality, whatever she has to bring that isn't directly related to being tangibly useful to a person. No confidence in her charm. basically.

I'll cut my hair / To make you stare / I'll hide my chest - considering the context this would be more like "i'll cut my hair to not make you stare." Sort of an okay I'll do what you ask me to... "Chest" here in this context I think of it as heart. I'll hide what I feel.

Time is / Slowly / Tracing his face / But strangely he feels at home in this place - This is the acceptance of situation. Stress and sacrifice are becoming visible in her appearance, but this situation, however awful, is beginning to feel like a home to her.

TRACK 05: 6/10 - DODIE

Okay so anxiety and insecurity part 200!!! Coming back to the insecurity about her personality, that she has nothing to offer in a friendship context to a new person, feels like nothing makes her interesting or remarkable.

Can you see the panic inside? / I'm making you uneasy, aren't I? - We see this a lot especially in the beginning stages of the game, her almost being too careful with the mc, not wanting to cause discomfort. It's almost like she's waiting for you to allow her to be.

Is there pity for the plain girl? - Plainness here is of personality. It has a "sorry for being myself" feeling to it.

TRACK 06: 4AM - GIRL IN RED.

I Don't like her, but hey if the song fits... anyway this is THE undercurrent of anxiety, having too many doubts about your own performance, having to face the world but not feeling internally ready to.

TRACK 07: TEEN IDLE - MARINA

Anyway sooo back to the past! Or my interpretation of it! This one, When, Stay soft, and mirrorball are kind of all my meta take on who she was. Teen idle is saying "damn I wish I actually lived through my teenage years, or my whole youth, for that matter." I definitely believe this was a little bit of who she was, and that she Would have listened to this at 15.

I wanna drink until I ache / I wanna make a big mistake / I want blood, guts, and angel cake - wanting to break from her front of perfection and model student behavior to know what it feels like.

TRACK 08: WHEN - LIVE - DODIE

Our next stop in this journey to the past: whatever the fuck went on in her relationships. Also known as the comphet song. A nostalgia for who she used to be, but also regret for how it's shaped her. She wants to be in love, but can't get satisfaction from it, and is afraid of running out of time, of missing her chances. Misdirection.

I think I've been telling lies / 'Cause I've never been in love / Everyone falls for the sunshine disguise / Distracted by who they're thinking of - No, she hasn't even been in love, we get as much from... everything she does in her route when it comes to her relationship with MC, starting by not being able to recognize what she feels.

I'll take what I can get / 'Cause I'm too damp for a spark / Kissing sickly sweet guys / 'Cause they say they like my eyes / But I'd only ever see them in the dark - Flings for the sake of flings. Getting with people because she wants the feeling, but can't somehow get it, does it more for them than for herself. Again, comphet song...

I'm waiting to live, and waiting to love / Oh, it'll be over, and I'll still be asking when - Afraid that life will pass her by if she doesn't hurry up and live, afraid of not having the experiences she dreams of having.

TRACK 09: THE MAN - TAYLOR SWIFT.

The first song here that truly deals with her feelings when it comes to her job, and mostly people not taking her seriously because she's a woman. The entire justification for this being here is in that one moment where she's assigned as the leader of that coffee project and no one in the team is giving her the due respect.

TRACK 10: REAL MEN - MITSKI.

This one's also related to her job, but mostly about how she's forced to hide her feelings to be able to do anything, reinforcing a long-standing behavior. The constant clash she seems to have with Jumin of him trying to be 100% logical and her trying to get him to accept that people have Feelings and sometimes those Interfere, because maybe she's learned that the hard way.

Real men don't need other people / And real men suck it in / Real men don't flinch or bleed in public / Oh, I think I'm a real man - Superego message of you shouldn't show your feelings, it's not right or proper, you shouldn't have needs. Be completely self sufficient.

TRACK 11: FEELINGS ARE FATAL - MXMTOON.

This one's very self explanatory and goes with the other one. Hiding struggle behind a facade, and not trusting anyone to actually reveal what's under, but at the same time almost being afraid of what would happen then. That is, kind of, how she approaches opening up to MC.

TRACK 12: A BURNING HILL - MITSKI.

A lot of this playlist is mitski. There are a lot more songs. Anyway, this is disillusionment. Acceptance of her situation, back to what This Is Home is trying to say but with much more substance. She's tired, and she's numb.

And I'll go to work and I'll go to sleep / And I'll love the littler things / I'll love some littler things - Hopeless acceptance, focusing on the small because the large is already screwed and she doesn't know how to un-screw it.

TRACK 13: BEST FRIEND - REX ORANGE COUNTY.

This is the start of what I call the romance arc of the playlist... the moment in the story when she begins to go oh god oh fuck i'm having Wierd Feelings. This song could go two ways-- her POV in the "i want to be your favorite person in the planet and idk how to be anything else so let's be friends," and the MC's in the "I want you as more than a friend but we're still fine as long as we're close but just know that's not where my heart lies." But since this is a Jaehee playlist, not a mcjaehee playlist...

TRACK 14: COFFEE - BEABADOOBEE.

The love is stored in the homemade latte. I feel like acts of service is somewhere high up there in her love languages list - I will love you, I will care for you, I will make you coffee just how you like it. You're my safe place. I feel like this captures the vibes of the kinda relationship that happens in her route really well.

TRACK 15: I WANT YOU - MISTKI.

"I want you but I can't say it and/or don't know how to", that's what this song is trying to say in this context. All of the unsaid is beginning to suffocate. And listen, I'm not a reset theory enthusiast... but you can really let your imagination fly in that context with this one.

I want you / I hold one card / That I can't use / But I want you - There could be many reasons as to why she can't use the card, but the general message is an "I can't say it" type beat.

'Cause I just need a quiet place / Where I can scream / How I love you - "I need to find a way to let out these feelings that I can't, for some reason, allow myself to let out."

TRACK 16: D-1 - LOONA.

This one kinda follows everything the last few ones have set up, but it's more like... her watching her feelings change as she talks more and more with MC. A lot of the lyrics here remind me of stuff she said in calls. Also, this really fits in the "we exist in different dimensions/universes" theory of mysme...

How you like me now? - "I think I'm getting greedy now. I want you to like me more."

For now I’ll take just one step closer, closely slowly - "I'll approach very slowly... I am very patient" idk what she says here actually i can't remember haven't played this game in months.

TRACK 17: FALLINGFORYOU - THE 1975.

Very self explanatory, I don’t wanna be your friend, I wanna kiss your neck, but also the vibe here is you're talking with someone in the middle of the night and realizing there's maybe more. Her calls in the later days of the route, all the more revealing ones happen late into the night.

TRACK 18: COME INTO THE WATER - MITSKI.

I think this accurately describes how she approaches love - with caution, with patience, once again almost waiting for a confirmation, please like me too.

Are you waiting to touch me? / You look so good, but I keep my hands / 'Til you come into the water - I want you, but I'm waiting for you to show me you want me too. Almost a not wanting to make a mistake here.

But would you tell me if you want me? / 'Cause I can't move until you show me - "show me how to love you. show me the way. i'm new to this."

I didn't know I had a dream / I didn't know until I saw you - cheesy ass line I know but basically... mc did show her the way to her dreams somewhat so like...

TRACK 19: HEAVEN - TROYE SIVAN.

So the overlap between faith, institutionalized religion, and how that clashes with the self. She clearly operates under a crap ton of internalized homophobia. And no, I don't think most of it is due to religion, I think most of it is knowing she'll be rejected by the world around her, but knowing Catholicism... I'm sure at least some of it is.

TRACK 20: SHAME - MITSKI.

Follows along the same path of the last one. There's guilt surrounding desires. Also this could be like... a secret relationship "no one knows but us" type beat, which I think is a narrative Cheritz tries to push.

TRACK 21: CLASS OF 2013 - MITSKI.

So... grief, that's all. "I wish my life was easier I wish I sometimes didn't have to fight so hard I wish I didn't have to grow up so quickly and could still dream." Segway from this last arc and into the new one.

TRACK 22: SHE USED TO BE MINE - JESSIE MUELLER (WAITRESS MUSICAL).

Ah so this is another of the main songs.... a LOT of her story is mirrored here. Mainly the "I lost myself along the way and now I don't know how to be happy." This is that scene when Zen gives her the present.

It's not simple to say / Most days I don't recognize me - Considering she had to quite literally change her appearance to be where she's at, this is likely. also, "I don't know who I am."

She is hard on herself / She is broken and won't ask for help / She is messy but she's kind / She is lonely most of the time - I'm not sure if messy, but everything else here checks out. She doesn't allow herself to ask for help, she pushes through, surrenders to loneliness, pushes herself to the highest of standards, it's all or nothing.

She is gone but she used to be mine - She's not who she used to be. She's lost herself somewhere along this path.

It's not what I asked for / Sometimes life just slips in through a back door / And carves out a person / And makes you believe it's all true / And now I've got you / And you're not what I asked for - The person in question could be her or Jumin-- in a call she opens up about how the qualities associated with her at the office are not the values her parents taught her.

Who learns how to toughen up when she's bruised / And gets used by a man who can't love - More like woman who can't love, we could talk about her aunt here... she's been hurt by many, both intentionally and unintentionally.

And then she'll get stuck and be scared / Of the life that's inside her / Growing stronger each day / 'Til it finally reminds her / To fight just a little / To bring back the fire in her eyes / That's been gone but it used to be mine - She feels that dissatisfaction growing, every day more and more impossible to ignore, reminding her of that desire she used to have, until it finally comes back.

This song is kind of a pivotal moment, the catapult into the next arc of the playlist where she fights to get her life back. This is day 9 onwards.

TRACK 23: 9 TO 5 - DOLLY PARTON.

So there were other moments in the playlist that described her career situation to a certain degree, but this next little section does so with more clarity. Starting with this one: a little fun pop break about the frustrations of the workforce, sacrificing yourself daily while aching for more.

TRACK 24: ARE YOU SATISFIED? - MARINA.

Okay so this one takes what the last one just said and goes okay so that's the reality... now are you happy with that? Like honestly?

I was pulling out my hair / The day I got the deal, chemically calm / Was I meant to feel happy that my life / Was just about to change? - I imagine her learning she got the job at c&r, and knowing she's finally made it, feeling actually the opposite of ecstatic, relieved of a pressure. An "okay. we made it. that was tough but we're here now."

Are you satisfied with an average life? / Do I need to lie to make my way in life? - This is doubt starting to come in. The "is this truly what you want?

High achiever, don't you see? / Baby, nothing comes for free / They say I'm a control freak / Driven by a greed to succeed / Nobody can stop me - I feel like this is the image she shows the world, who people thinks she is: capable, cutthroat, on top of her shit. Which is true on a certain level, except that she doesn't have any real ambition other than like... making it thru the day and feels stuck in her current position.

TRACK 25: WORKING FOR THE KNIFE - MITSKI.

Goes on with what the last song said, now exposing the true reality of her situation, how she really feels about it - we're working from the knife, something that can be threatening, deadly. This job, however shiny, is killing her slowly, and she's beginning to realize that.

I always thought the choice was mine / And I was right, but I just chose wrong / I start the day lying and end with the truth / That I'm dying for the knife - idk yall but I imagine young fresh out of high school jaehee extremely motivated about the direction her life seems to be taking, with everything she wants within reach. Yes, the choice was hers and yes, she chose wrong. Now, how do you move on from that?

TRACK 26: DRUNK WALK HOME - MITSKI.

There's almost a giving up here. Pure hatred for the system. This is a vent.

For I'm starting to learn I may never be free / But though I may never be free / Fuck you and your money / I'm tired of your money - She knows this system is inescapable, this is her life, she'll be in this forever, yet hates it. The "fuck you and your money" specifically I relate back to every single moment she complained at Jumin's financial compensation as "forgiveness" for making her do hefty extra work.

TRACK 27: MONEY, MONEY, MONEY - ABBA.

I Hate Capitalism song number 200. Yeah this is just an ugh I can't believe the world is like this because of greedy rich men who exploit people's skills for their personal gain song.

TRACK 28: I AM NOT A ROBOT - MARINA.

FUCK Real Men I Can't Ignore My Feeling Anymore Unless I Wanna D Word Inside. This song is the MC and Zen @ her, but also her @ her, her @ jumin.

It's okay to say you've got a weak spot / You don't always have to be on top / Better to be hated / Than loved loved loved for what your not - her accepting that these feeling of inadequacy and dissatisfaction, that's she's not actually a machine, are actually okay in the end.

You're lovable, so lovable / But you're just troubled - She's worthy of love and happiness. Yes, nothing around her is perfect, but it can and will be better.

TRACK 29: I WANT TO BREAK FREE - QUEEN.

This song is purely declaratory, the moment where she goes "You know what? I don't want this anymore. I'm going my own way."

I want to break free from your lies / You're so self-satisfied I don't need you - yaassss girlie give jumin a piece of his mind

I've fallen in love / I've fallen in love for the first time / This time I know it's for real / I've fallen in love, yeah - She has, quite literally. This time it is for real.

TRACK 30: LIVE YOUR LIFE - YUNA.

This is her finally acknowledging her own dreams, committing to living for herself.

All my life / My dreams just seem so far away / And now it's like / They're here to stay / I hold it close to me - the moment she decides she likes the reignites passion and doesn't want to let it go for anything.

TRACK 31: READY NOW - DODIE.

Kinda takes us back thru the whole journey to how far she's got. She's ready now. Pretty much the ENTIRE song describes her relationship with mc.

You saw through me / All this time / I'd forgotten / People are kind - Many times she muses about how MC is one of the few people she's met that have been this kind to her, how she understood her and defended her.

You said, "I will listen / Tell it all / When you're finished / We'll talk more" / But I didn't know how / So we took it in turns / And to my surprise / We found my words - With time, Jaehee managed to trust her, even to tell her story to her, revealing things she's carried for a long time.

Something new / Something strange / Ten feet taller / I had changed / I believe you / I'm not wrong / Oh, it suits me / To feel strong - oh don't you love character development. With this newfound dream, comes newfound strength and self confidence.

You said, "I will listen / Tell me it all / You don't like the ending / Then we'll find one that's yours" - Reset theory enthusiasts! This one's for you.

Together, we sang / "I'm ready, now" - One thing about her, there was no way, partner or solo, that she was walking this path alone.

TRACK 32: MY SEA - IU.

This journey she went through, in a way, was sort of an inner child recollection healing type thing. She tells MC she's "broken down her walls and returned her to her childhood." Considering everything that happened since then. it's a big statement to make.

Did that child suffer in pain for such a long time… / …to just become me? / We get further as another day piles up / I don’t think we can ever reconcile / I don’t think it’ll get better - This brings back the themes of She Used to be Mine, the losing oneself, not thinking you'll get that back.

When I was a child / There was a sea that never dried up in my heart / That place is only left with faint traces - You could compare the sea to the drems of her childhood that faded with time and hardship.

I’m free even when I’m swept away and get lost / I won’t close my eyes at the darkness / that traps me anymore / I won’t pretend not to know myself again - After a journey, she finds that passion again, that self which used to be hers.

TRACK 33: PLUTO - SLEEPING AT LAST.

Okay so this is a summary of The Whole Journey, from the perspective of the undercurrent of anxiety that's been driving her through this wrong path - she chose to keep through it out of a now knowing what would happen if she took a turn away from it.

Until one day I had enough / Of this exercise of trust / I leaned in and let it hurt / And let my body feel the dirt - She simply got tired of the bullshit... among other things.

Still I'm pinned under the weight / Of what I believed would keep me safe / Show me where my armor ends / Show me where my skin begins - Well, she was pinned under the weight of a system she believed would keep her safe - however safe it was, it was equal parts suffocating. The last phrase, "show me where my armor ends," could also relate to her emotional openness (or lack thereof).

Like a final puzzle piece / It all makes perfect sense to me / The heaviness that I hold in my heart belongs to gravity - oh I am human and I am alive and I can do something with all this!!! how nice.

TRACK 34: DOG DAYS ARE OVER - FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE.

Freedom, baby! That's this song. This is day 10, the moment where she takes the leap and lands on the net.

Happiness hit her like a train on a track / Coming towards her stuck still no turning back - This whole ordeal came at her unexpectedly, almost like a crash, though at the most critical moment.

The dog days are over / The dog days are done / Can you hear the horses? / 'Cause here they come - The world better get ready for Kang Jaehee, because she's coming with everything, she's waited a long time for this moment.

TRACK 35: THAT'S MY GIRL - FIFTH HARMONY.

This is like the least deep song here it's a celebration ass shaking song. Everyone's reaction @ her finally Doing It. She worked her ass off for this goddammit.

TRACK 36: SIX - SLEEPING AT LAST.

Ah the enneagram song :). This is the one that best describes the undercurrent of anxiety, her driving force, that will undoubtedly be accompanying her now as well, but now that vigilance will be her ally instead of her enemy: her caution is what will ensure that there's no blocks in the road ahead.

TRACK 37: SHE - JEN FOSTER.

...And we enter the last arc of the playlist! The "I'll finally accept I'm in love and do Something about these feelings" arc, which... we don't see in the story, at least not explicitly... anyways this is a love song. about a girl. that's it really.

TRACK 38: EYES LOCKED, HANDS LOCKED - RED VELVET.

This is the moment at the party: With eyes and hands locked, she makes her proposal to MC. A masked confession. A promise for something longer, larger than what they have officially.

TRACK 39: GIRLS - GIRL IN RED.

Here's where we stray from the canon bc I'm sure this moment happened: the I'm a LESBIAN i am GAY i like GIRLS i am a GIRL who likes GIRLS. acceptance of sexuality. You know the drill. After everything she's been through... it was about time.

TRACK 40: FINALLY // BEAUTIFUL STRANGER - HALSEY

The falling in love for the first time, the finally feeling safe enough to open your heart to another person and reap the rewards that come with that.

The truth is this / That I've never seen a mouth that I would kill to kiss / And I'm terrified, but I can't resist – Falling in love can be terrifying, and I’d guess by her avoidance of the fact that she is, at least a little.

Beautiful stranger, here you are in my arms / But I think it's finally, finally, finally, finally, finally safe / For me to fall – what i said earlier lmao.

TRACK 41: THE ONLY EXCEPTION - PARAMORE

Builds upon the other song and establishes it, somewhat explaining the reasons why she was so reluctant to love in the first place.

Maybe I know somewhere deep in my soul / That love never lasts / And we've got to find other ways to make it alone / Or keep a straight face – “Relationships are temporary fantasies fabricated by emotions.” There could be a million reasons for her to believe that, from bad past experiences to an adopted belief to rid herself of the pressure of relationships bc lesbianism. Regardless, it’s there.

And I've always lived like this / Keeping a comfortable distance / And up until now I had sworn to myself / That I'm content with loneliness / Because none of it was ever worth the risk / But you are the only exception – In the end, she sees relationships as a risk and suffers for it. She mentions many times that she still has a desire to be considered as special and irreplaceable by someone, perhaps because she considers herself as ordinary and discardable. babes all in all I think cheritz writes this as a secret relationship and they’re not even chill about that insinuation. It’s super blatant. Every single romantically charged mcjaehee moment happens either subtextually (literally hidden by code) or while they’re literally hidden by some type of cover. That one folder where they’re almost kissing under a sheet. The valentine’s day dlc where they're trapped in a literal closet. And does anyone remember that one halloween choose your own story event where she and mc ended up sharing a ghost costume and it was all special? Yeah. Also, I don’t want you like a best friend.

TRACK 46: ANIMAL - TROYE SIVAN.

I had to somehow end this cohesively and I chose… sex lol. well, insinuated it. It’s not just about letting desire fly free, it’s about the grace of time, about trust. All in all, I think the relationship expressed in her route is one summarized by this concept: I trust you enough to reveal myself to you, and I want you to reveal myself to me. Love as the tearing down of walls, you love somebody by letting them know you.

What about an MC route~

Forgive the length of this...

I would think it would wrap up the Reset Theory and all the characters that are aware of you, MC, being a player. Everything else like, knowing they're in a game too.

MC route would be solely focused on how kinda messed up that whole scenario would be, right?

Like imagine one day you meet someone and, despite all the struggles you face normally, now you're falling madly in love with that person... only to find out that something is so terribly wrong, that they don't exist.

Then you wake up, back where you started. Never making progress in your career, school, personal life, etc. And you meet that person again, but this time they're familiar...

After each and every Reset, the code strains a bit more. Not because the game is coded poorly, but because the characters are starting to remember through the Reset.

After you've done ALL the other routes, got all the endings (good/normal/bad/etc.), finally the game Resets again and back at the "Mode Select" screen;

There's a new mode, but unlike all the others the routes in that mode do not have a picture of a face. (Casual: Yoosung/Zen/Jaehee Deep: 707/Jumin Another: V/Unknown [ ]: //// )

But you, the Player, don't get to select it. The game starts playing the mode automatically. You just figure, Hey, it's the last route so that makes sense. The game knows this is the next step so you roll with it.

What you can't see are the characters most sensitive to the Reset have started to break through. So obviously, 707/Saeyoung. He'd crack the code first, opening up a wealth of information beyond anything he'd ever seen. Like looking at a code prison, shackled to his cell. In each cell is another RFA member, only accessible to the person that can see from the outside.

The Player, You.

Not MC, she's just an avatar that you control and right now, your control has begun to slip.

With the game slowly starting to 'act up', you get closer and closer to uninstalling it completely.

After all, an app that doesn't work needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled right? But that would be a Hard Reset for the RFA members.

Saeyoung sees more than everyone else, but Zen backs him up cause we all know Zen's at least somewhat aware.

So maybe the Route would be them racing to find a way to communicate with you? Outside the game parameters.

Because if you choose a route, they're kinda stuck in that storyline and can't break free. So the first task is on Saeyoung, he has to find a way to break the restrictions on speech/text.

Then he has to find a way to stop in game time from progressing. Or vice versa, whichever comes first.

Until eventually, finally, MC gets to meet the RFA face to face. But it's not at the RFA party and it's not in Magenta.

You, the Player, have grown increasingly frustrated with this 'broken ass game' because, fuck, it keeps freezing and sometimes the text is all messed up and makes no sense. Clearly, someone didn't bug test, right?

You enjoy the times when Saeyoung breaks the 4th wall or during Zen's call, when he pretty much openly states he knows you're not MC, you're the player and he wishes to be with you.

But the game straight up doesn't work anymore. So it's time to uninstall and reinstall-

Right when a visual novel part of the game starts seriously bugging out, you groan super frustrated and decide, "Screw it, time to reinstall."

Then the game shows all the characters, you get a repeating phone call that is kinda messed up at first, but you eventually hear all the voices of the RFA members.

Everyone is there and they're calling out for you, The Player, saying the same thing...

Oh...

Ok, sometimes I had these moments when I'm sipping mate or watching stupid YouTube videos with the 5 most weird things found in a bottle and I'm thinking in nothing, when suddenly I'm hit with a thought or a realization, I think is called "fridge something" in TV tropes. And usually this follows with me giving more though to the idea until it turns into a really long ass post that because of it's length I don't end up writing (at least for now).

So I'm gonna just write the idea as it came for now:

Do you know that thing Jumin says in his and Zen's route when the MC is with them? That he is against two unengaged people living together? Sometimes vary as "two single people living together" or just "against living together before marriage"

Now why does he says that? In his route I sort of can understand it given everything that happens, and on Zen's I do think that Cheritz intended having him saying that to show us how he normally thinks about this subject, and how off he is in his own route (and how we have to help him to be himself again)

But still that doesn't take the fact that is odd how he is so adamant to repeat the same thing over and over again on Zen's route. Why? Why would he even care? Jumin prides himself on not wasting his time in non productive things, so why the man who doesn't do relationships would bother to have a formed opinion on relationships?

A shipper may suggest that it is due to jealousy and there's people who like the idea of Jumin loving you in every route (why would you want that??? Hasn't this man suffered enough already??), But both of those explanations are based on "supposed feelings", not in explicit canon feelings from Jumin.

And that's when it hits me, but, which canon couple we know that was very close to Jumin AND that lived together for a long time unengaged AND that ended tragically?

These ash**les angels...

So, Jumin advice to Zen and MC may be because of his (unconscious, because for him a lot of things are unconscious) fear of having the same thing happen again. We know that Jumin didn't have the chance to grieve and process the traumatic experience, but that doesn't change the fact that it must have left its own scars on him (and it's own symptoms), on the contrary, we see a similar behavior on Jaehee's route before hell breaks loose:

He is here definitely talking about V and Rika, and how they left him behind

**Edit adding the comment of @yoosea-mysme because once again this posted itself unfinished without me realizing, dammnit!:

"I was kind of nodding along as I read, but then that last part... Oh boy. I always saw this kind of like Cheritz playing it safe. Jaehee's route clearly implies the beginning of a romantic relationship but it's not so open as it is with the routes of the men love interests, probably to get passed some kind of censorship, and so I always envisioned some of these dialogues as a way to make the route "not so obviously gay" (Jaehee doesn't need a gf, she needs a FRIEND - a gal pal, if you will). There's a lot of instances of the characters trying to downplay the relationship between Jaehee and MC as "just friends" while at the same time trying to frame it as "romantic ENOUGH". Because of this, it's always annoyed me a bit.

But this takes a very different meaning if you see it as the result not of meta-writing to push the narrative in a direction, but rather of Jumin losing his two best friends, one physically to suicide, the other emotionally to the trauma after said suicide, because both lovers were co-dependent, and Jumin having to deal with the pain of this double loss alone as a result. Once you see it that way, it's no longer Jumin acting old school or getting in someone else's business, but wishing Jaehee a healthy social life so she won't become co-dependent on a lover as well and lose herself if she were to lose them. A lot of people disagree with this but I've always thought Jumin cares deeply for Jaehee even if he's bad at showing it, and I really like this idea that this is not "gal palling" but rather Jumin trying to protect his friend a lot more."

Yes! Jumin cares so much for Jaehee, but he struggles so much with boundaries (actually both of them do, because of their own reasons). They can't reach to each other as much as they FEEL they should, so they put these physical and mental walls between each other, called "contract" "professional distance" "Society's Bashing" or whatever.

What struck me on Jaehee's route is that is the mention of Jumin's happiness by Zen that makes Jaehee cry (and as we know, Jumin isn't happy, and she is the first witness of it). So in the end all this work she does doesn't count really that much because she knows is not what Jumin really needs and that she could give to him if she wasn't that scared of crossing the line (cue to why she is so supportive of Jumin and MC in the birthday events and his route) . She has to content herself with being the perfect employee who doesn't say no to him and who has at least job security.

Is just a big case of miscommunication (damn this game is so well written!) And it's so humanly depicted. "Ella lo quiere a él, él la quiere a ella... Caramba he visto demasiada televisión!"

Going back to Jumin and after playing the Bad Ending DLC, knowing that Jumin is this aware of the danger of codependency in a relationship. That he knows he and MC could end like V and Rika, and still staying in this relationship that made him renounce to everyone who isn't MC in his life, only because MC wants this. Despite Jumin telling her once and again she is free to go whenever she wants ("It's you who can leave this place, not me. I want to see you break free")

But that HE CAN'T because he is so alone, so afraid of being alone again, so needed of love... That's...

I see! I understand about patientce haha. I played the game for the first time when I was 16 (five years ago) and I spent so much (of my mother's) money on that game haha. I have every dlc and perk. I played each route (with the exception of Jumin's who I started but was too uncomfortable to finish.) I've also played all the dlc (bar the aril fools one because I didn't really like that one) 3-5 times.

I haven't got any bad endings though haha

Lol, we have number 1 in common and then it's almost an exact opposite list! Funny how that works! It's interesting that we'd have the same all time favourite and disagree on everyone else. I wonder what it is about Saeran that unites us?

Yoosung is a very close second for me though. It's only his talks about having a baby that make me uncomfortable that lowers him a little bit.

Saeran's after story was a bit infuriating though. Like, seriously, if the RFA took care of the security guards, why would Saeran need to stay to distract V and Rika???? Rika's like 5' tall and V was going blind, I could have easily unscrewed the pipe from under the sink and beaten them both to death with it??? Even without a weapon, I bet I could have done it.

So, that part was really annoying. Also, I don't like stories that involve forgiving pure evil fathers. Like, Saeran's father was seriously evil, I don't agree with how the story ended on that one.

I think if we're including the after story, I'd have to put Yoosung as number one, but I was only considering main route.

That was a ramble, I think that rant has been sitting on my chest for a while without me realising it haha.

hey! i'm the pregnant christmas anon aha. my request was that it was around the end of November and mc was worrying about what to get jumin for christmas because he is IMPOSSIBLE to shop for and also gets the best gifts for her and although she can always find something small to get him that he can put on his desk she wanted to get him something good and he noticed something was off with her and said he was worried and should go to the doctor because she hadn't just had a checkup in a while and then she finds out she's pregnant and she was shocked because she was having trouble getting pregnant. "You're getting your christmas present one month early and eight months late, i'm pregnant" (lmao I didn't think it would be this long but pls feel free to change anything about it, I love your writing <3)

Late Christmas Present

You sighed once again as you turned another page. The luxury magazine you were currently reading couldn’t help you at all, and of course Yoosung, who sat across from you, noticed that you were getting nervous. The blonde man decided to forget about his studies and instead asked you if you were alright. You looked up and pointed at the magazine ,,I’m trying to figure out what I could give Jumin as a Christmas present, but there is nothing that I could give him,’’ you whined. Yoosung chuckled. ,,But Mc, it’s October! Christmas is still so far away! I mean, it’s still warm outside,’’ he laughed. You smiled and told him that you always got presents pretty early. ,,I never buy them at the last minute. I always buy them months before so that nothing can stress me out. For my mother, for example, I once bought her Christmas present in August, ahaha,’’ you laughed as you remembered the day you ordered her present even though you were still enjoying the warm sun at the beach.

,,Besides, if I can’t give him an heir for C&R, I could at least get him a good present, but I can’t even do that…’’ you suddenly whined. Your mood changed as you looked outside. ,,Jumin said that it’s okay that it’s harder for me to get pregnant and that I shouldn’t worry about the company, but I know that he wants children. I mean, the way he looks at children when we walk past them already says it all… he’s just too kind to me and I, as a wife, can’t give him anything…’’ Yoosung stayed silent as you whined, but suddenly he commented that you were maybe too stressed. ,,You should try to relax a bit more. Maybe you will have success!’’ he told you, never failing to smile at you. ,,Me? Stressed out? Jumin gives his best to make my life as comfortable as possible. How can I be stressed out? But you....YA YOU SHOULD BE STRESSED OUT!’’ you suddenly nagged at him, your voice raised as you watched his studies.

,,Ahhhh, but I don’t want to!’’ he whined, his eyes on his medical books again. The deal was that you would watch Yoosung to make sure that he would study since he once whined that he couldn’t handle it on his own. And since you were the only house wife and pretty good at understanding things, you agreed to help him. But studying with Yoosung was very hard. The young boy could get himself distracted in just a few seconds! But after you nagged at him, Yoosung luckily went on with his studies, and so the afternoon passed. After Yoosung left the penthouse, his words kept replaying in your head. Thinking that you could use a day to relax, you decided to put some hot water in your bathtub and relax with a little bit of wine and a good facial mask. The water kept flowing in the big bathtub as you looked through your candles to make the atmosphere better. You chose the ones that smelled like flowers and put them all around the room. You even put some rose petals into the water, as well as some nice smelling lotion.

Of course you first showered before you relaxed in the hot water. The wine was standing on your right as you slowly put your shoulders into the water, feeling the relaxation overcoming you. Classical music was coming from your laptop as you enjoyed the beautiful moment. You didn’t know how much time passed, you just knew that the feeling was just so beautiful. When the water began to become colder and your wine was empty, you slowly decided to get up, careful to not hurt yourself as you climbed out of it. Your hand reached for a towel as you exited the room afterwards, just to see your husband who just arrived home. Jumin looked at you as you stood half naked in front of him. ,,I like the way you come to greet me,’’ he laughed as you blushed because of the wine. You were never the type to get embarrassed. Your husband slowly approached you and began to kiss you. He first kissed your lips, then your neck, then up to your ears, and your cheeks. You chuckled at his warm lips and hugged him with your still wet arms. ,,My love, let’s love each other in our bedroom…’’ he whispered in your ear, going ahead to your shared bedroom to put away the towel from your body and kiss every single part of your body… ,,I will just take this frame so that he can put another picture of us on his desk,’’ you said to Yoosung as you scrolled through your phone.

A month had already passed and Yoosung couldn’t believe that you were still worried about the Christmas present for your husband. Suddenly you jumped up, feeling very nauseous. You walked to the bathroom and opened the door, just in time to empty your stomach into the toilet. Your hair fell in your face as your head was over the toilet. You hated this feeling. You felt sick with every second that passed. And not even Yoosung was a big help. The blonde man tried to grab your hair and patted your back as you finally finished vomiting. ,,It’s ten in the morning. You didn’t even eat so much. Why…?’’ he whined. You let your tired body fall on the ground as you supported your head on the wall. Suddenly your head was throbbing and you felt weird. You were scared. You felt kind of hungry and at the same time, sick. ,,I think I have a fever,’’ you whispered, looking over to Yoosung who was panicking over the phone by now. ,,She said that she has a fever,’’ he whined. ,,Jumin, I think she’s dying on me! She’s so pale! What? I didn’t kill her!’’ he by now sobbed. You rolled your eyes ,,Don’t say that I’ll die or he’ll worry! I’m just sick!’’ you tried to nag at him, but you were too sleepy. You had no energy anymore… You didn’t know how much time passed, but Yoosung was by your side the whole time. At some point he even brought a blanket to make you feel warmer while you were sitting on the cold floor since he wasn’t able to carry you to the bed. When you just wanted to get up, you heard the door opening with your husband rushing into the bathroom, followed by bodyguards and men in white coats. ,,My love!’’ he gasped and took you in his arms, your hand weakly around his neck while he carried you to a more comfortable place. ,,I can feel how hot you are…’’ he said meaning that your burning face was pressed against his neck.

,,Mr Han, please take care of everything else outside. We will take care of her,’’ one doctor said. ,,She’s sleeping, but her fever went down immediately. She will probably feel hungry, so make her soup or a bowl of rice. We took a sample of blood and checked her. As soon as we know something, we will let you know,’’ the doctor said and quickly went out to check what illness you had right away. No one knew at that point that you didn’t have any sort of illness… ,,I love you, my wife,’’ Jumin whispered. ,,I wish I could stay here with you, but I need to go to work. I will be back in a little while,’’ Jumin said. The next morning you vomited again. You were also a bit hotter, but everything else was okay. ,,The doctor will probably call here. I hope you have nothing serious, but don’t worry. I will take care of everything,’’ he said and smiled again before he went out of the room, ready to drive to the company. You on the other hand, weren’t that worried. You probably just caught the flu. And so, when the phone rang around twelve, you expected to be right with what you thought, however, the news they gave you made you even happier.

,,Thanks, Doctor. Please don’t tell him anything. I want to surprise him. I can’t believe it… how was that possible?’’ you sobbed happily on the phone. You quickly went on amazon and bought the frame. However, the picture you would put in there was completely different from the one you first thought… Thanks to Seven’s help, you even got the chance to go to the doctor without paparazzi seeing you.

A month passed by and Christmas finally came.

You with Jumin and the RFA sitting together, eating snacks and opening the presents. Seven had the task of making a video of Jumin opening your present, but you still wanted to wait with the big surprise. ,,My wife already got a few presents this morning,’’ Jumin said proudly. ,,Yeah, I saw on her Insta. What was it? A new bag and a necklace, Mc?’’ Zen asked you. You laughed and nodded ,,And the six candles from the USA. They just smell so good!’’ you laughed and held Jumin’s hand. ,,But here is one more for Mc…’’ Yoosung said. You were the one who got the most presents, not just because of Jumin, but the RFA itself had a deep bond with you. ,,Wait, it’s boring. Open your presents too! Don’t just give me mine!’’ you laughed and took the present you chose for Jaehee. ,,open it!’’ you chuckled, excited what your best friend would say. ,,A coffee maker? Woah!’’ she smiled and teared up. You knew her the best, she thought as she hugged you. Well, Jaehee was also the only one who knew about your pregnancy and helped you this month to hide it. It was her who always managed to make you eat healthy things at business meetings and whenever Jumin choosed to eat sushi, she tried her best to make him change plans. ,,I heard that lately, raw fish is very bad for women. I’m worried about Mc, but I will book it-’’ ,,No need, Assistant Kang, Look for a place that sells well cooked food,’’ he always changed his mind. Yoosung opened his presents too, getting a new keyboard, a mouse and a few things he wished for.

Even Zen got his beauty box from you, feeling very happy about it. ,,There is one last present,’’ Jaehee said and took the little box from the three. She waited until Seven started the camera since he was too busy observing the cute presents he got from you. One of them was a package of Dr. Pepper… but right now he knew that it was his time to work so he quickly took his phone and started the video while nodding to Jaehee. He didn’t know what was going on. Why did he need to take a video? ,,For Jumin, it says. Mr Han, I believe it’s yours,’’ Jaehee said, giving Jumin the cute little box wrapped in a paper with cats. ,,I think I need to sneeze…’’ Zen commented. Jumin’s eyes softened as his fingers touched the written note on it.

,,Your wife, Mc,’’ it said. He looked up to you and seemed emotionally touched. ,,There was no need for it…’’ he whispered and kissed your cheek. ,,Just open it,’’ you giggled, playing with your fingers, feeling kind of nervous. But you knew that he was going to like it. You were sure. Jumin slowly opened the box, careful not to break anything. ,,A frame…’’ he smiled ,,can I show everybody?’’ he asked you, probably expecting it to be kind of… smutty. You lightly slapped his shoulder as Zen rolled his eyes. As soon as Jumin turned around the frame to see the picture in it, he froze. A little note was over the frame. Everyone became tired as they noticed that the rich black haired man was suddenly crying. So did you. Tears rolled down your cheeks. ,,Finally, Jumin turned his head to you and began to stutter ,,I-is that.. r-re-real?’’ he asked you. ,,We did it, Jumin… you’re going to be a father,’’ you hiccuped, taking his hand and putting it on your still flat belly. ,,Hello, daddy. I’m already here, but I will meet you a bit later. Please accept me as a late Christmas present,’’ you said in a childish voice. The video ended with Jumin hugging you and sobbing in your neck as the RFA itself gave you guys an applause; even Zen.

Jaehee currently stood in front of her boss and best friend, said best friend leaning on heR bosses desk and sending flirty remarks.

'OKAY WE GET IT YOUR G A Y AND IN LOVE', that's what she wished she could scream out right now.

But, alas, if she did she would get embarrassed by all her coworkers AND she knows you would just say

"Is someone jealous~"

And she is not about to deal with her bullshit.

Jumin sits there leaning out of his chair while conversation with you looking like he about to fall off it. Especially when you grazed your hand against his cheek to swipe a strand of his hair behind his ear.

You guys just wouldn't stop flIRTING.

Jaehee grunts as she holds on as tight as possible to the documents in her hands. Quite frustrated with the fact her boss stole her best friends attention from her and also now she has to deal with you flirting every two seconds.

You were still flabbergasted by his actions so you basically heard not even half of what he just said.

At this point people thought you worked for Jumin, i mean, you did spend a lot of time at his office now a days-

You and Jumin hurridly try to collect yourselves as you hear Jaehee give out a small coff.

"Jaehee yes, what is it you need?" Jumin says

You play and fidget with the things on Jumin desk as Jumin and Jaehee talk. Jumin tries his best not to get distracted by it but your excessive pen clicking was hurting his ears.

As Jaehee backs away to her desk Jumin lets out a grunt and puts his hand on top of yours.

"Stop that"

"Heyyy, i can't help it"

He always tried to buy you stuff, and even thought you knew he was rich RICH, you still didn't want to annoy him or something.

As you open your mouth to decline him he shushes you up, putting a finger to your lips and standing up from his chair he gives you a small glare

"Shush, also I need you for something"

"Hm?" You hum out and as you look up at him you're surprised with his face close to yours and his hands trapping you on the desk.

If i could accurately describe your thoughts right now im pretty sure it would be something along the lines of "&*$'.×$:_×€:(*€:*_:$*€:,*_€**€#,_*"

His stare is intense as he talks, "My father wants me to bring someone to a gala he's prepared. I don't have anyone, but im sure you might like the idea of a good evening or something"

He stands back from you, slightly adjusting his nicely done cuffs and waits for your answer.

You were not expecting that.

Giving out a small, "sure", and running off your face as hot as the sun and your breath shaky. In the small portion of time you had been obviously flirting he had NEVER done something like that.

As you pick out your clothes Jaehee is screaming through the phone.

"(Y/N)...we are talking about a HAN gala, there is no way i can calm down. This has to be as perfect as can be"

"JAEHEE CALM DOWN" you yell out as you hurriedly put on your clothes.

"Ill tell Jumin to go easier on you okay, you've been working really hard. Take a break, everything is perfect already anyways Jaehee"

Her words elicit an ugly laugh out of you, never in a million years would you believe that, there's no way.

You hear Jaehee heavily sigh through the phone, "thank you..i know he'll listen to you. You have him wrapped around your finger, you know that right?"

"Its the truth!!"

"Whatever Jaehee, ill see you there" you lightly shake your head and hang up, doing any last details and shaking off any dust that might be on your clothes.

When you get there you're met with the beautiful sight of fairy lights and different colors.

As you walk out you meet Jumins eyes and he softly smiles at you. He usually doesn't do that but he's been doing it much more lately.

Giving your hand a kiss he pats the seat beside him, your blush does not go unnoticed and he lets out a light chuckle.

You grumble as he tells the driver to start the car, after a while you get more comfortable and you make conversation as you get to the gala.

Opening the door you're met with flashes and blinding light. You try to cover your eyes but you flinch as Jumins hand comes into contact with your back.

He ignores everyone around him except the corporates who gave out a wave and nice greetings, leading you to a less crowded area he tells you he has something important to do and now you sit there waiting for him to calm back.

He doesn't give out any reaction, he just slowly walks you through the crowd of people and leave you to the grand entrance.

Zen excitedly picks you up, your feet hover over the ground as you try to hug him as best as possible.

Damn you Jumin, im not good at this stuff.

Hearing an oh so familiar laugh you look all around you, trying to find the culprit as soon as possible.

As you walk around a corner you see familiar head of hair.

There he was!

Giving a light tap to his shoulder you smirk when Zen gives you a bright eyed smile

"Miss me?"

No matter what, damn this man is strong-

"He's here!"

All of you were having a good time until Jaehees breath hitches and she hurriedly gives you the champagne bottle she had in her hands just moments ago.

As you look beyond Zens shoulder you see Jaehee.

"Oh im so sorry, was I interrupting your conversation?" Oh god now you feel bad. You thought he was alone-

"No no, you were just the person i was looking for. We missed you"

You smile at Zen and Jaehee, giving Jaehee a quick hug and engaging in conversation. It was more of Zen flexing his acting and you and Jaehee both being amazed.

Both Jaehee and Zen turn a pale white. Zen stutters before giving you a, "peace out", and running away. Jaehee chasing him, right on his tail.

"Is everything okay-"

You were about to ask up until you felt a slight warmth behind you, looking behind your shoulder you're met with Jumins cold glare.

Damn, so that's how it is huh.

That hurt, thats hurt more then it should have. He doesn't even try to look at you in the eyes, he just keeps looking out at the scenery.

You chuckle nervously as you turn around to meet Jumins eyes

He notices your eyes piercing through him and he huffs, he turns away from you and walks through the crowd. You follow as best as you can, trying not to lose sight of him.

You reach a balcony and you see him resting on the railing, the wind made his hair flow beautifully.

But as much as you wanted to admire him, you knew you guys had to talk.

"Whats wrong?" You go and put your hand on his back like he did to you less than an hour ago but he only pushes it away

"Its fine"

"No its not, whats wro-"

"Can you leave me alone please? I don't want to talk to you or see you right now, its annoying"

It works a little but he knows he needs to go look for you now. Budging the door open he swiftly walks through the crowd once again and as he maps out the second floor of the mansion he knows you're not around here.

When Jumin hears the door to the balcony slam shut he knew he had fucked up.

He panics for a second, running his hand through his hair. Trying to calm his laboring breath and bad thoughts.

"Im sorry, i was jealous of your interactions with Zen. I know you're entitled to all your own emotions but seeing you with him makes my heart ache. I don't know what this feeling is, its so foreign. But i know i don't like seeing you so close to him, I thought we were close-" he chocked up while confessing to you, you grab onto the fabric of his vest as he cries into your shoulder

His shoes click each time he takes another step and he practically skips as many steps as he humanly can while walking down the staircase.

The gala was a big, and so was the crowd. But even so, he was able to pinpoint your head through the whole crowd and he runs after you. Not giving a single care about what everyone in the crowd thought.

He tries not to make a scene so with his long legs he goes up behind you and takes you into one of the spare bedrooms.

"Jumin let me go" you barely fight him off, you don't have any energy to. But you know he would obey what you had to say, and just as you thought he let you go.

He suddenly grabs onto you and hugs you close.

You run your hands through his hair. As much as his words hurt, you also know he would never be this emotional around others. So you know he's telling the truth

"Im sorry, please, I didn't mean that I swear. It just came out, I promise i wont do it again. Please don't leave, please-"

Well to him at least it did seem embarrassing, he was raised this way after all.

"Sh sh, i forgive you"

"You do?" He hiccups, his voice is groagy now, he hasn't cried like this in so long. It felt good but also so incredibly embarrassing to do it in front of the person he loved so much.

His hands were glued to the small of your back and his thumb rubbed soft and smooth traces against your skin.

You give his forehead a soft peck and the smile he had that evening finally came back.

He barely thought his actions through before he had you in a close embrace and his lips were against yours.

Your hands were still in his hair and a sigh slips past his lips as he presses his lips harder against yours.

You eyelashes flutter open as he pulls away, but when your eyes meet he closes the gap once again.

If you could stay like this forever you would.

You push away from just a little so you can look at his expression better, his expressions tells you everything. He truly is so, so happy in this moment.

After another passionate kiss he gives out soft pecks to your lips as you both smile, hearts content

"I've never been this happy"

And you wouldn't want it any other way. Seeing Jumin this happy made you just as happy.

You can't help but kiss him again as you see him smile and look at you with soft but loving eyes.

"Is this a good time to say I love you" you say as you chuckle

I don't really like the fact that cheritz made a dlc for jumin's bad ending :(

I mean we already had to deal with players who just saw jumin as his bad ending and then they come up with this 😔

I'm actually kinda disappointed tbh💔

Like I'm excited for saeran's ae and jaehee's bday and I have always wished for a jumin dlc, but I didn't mean it like that... Now a lot more old and new players will misunderstand jumin's character and only view him as kinky and such :(

It is specifically meant as a bad ending DLC continuation, so I’d like to think that people will recognize it’s not his true ending or how he normally behaves simply because of that. The announcement also made vague mention of showing off Jaehee’s “dark side”, too, so if we get some Dark Jaehee DLC alongside the Dark Jumin story (it sounds like we might get a mini playable thing, rather than just one scene?) it might help underline that.

That said, it was never really that bad as bad endings go. It gets unfair criticism amongst the half of the fandom that doesn’t like it - especially those who use it as a weapon against Jumin - as people act like he’s kidnapped the MC and it’s not a consensual unsafe bdsm relationship. At least with the DLC, Jumin’s good name can be cleansed some by expanding it into what appears to be some weird kinky 50SoG-esque romance exploring a version of the romance where Jumin doesn’t quit or rededicate his life. (or it will go the opposite direction and make everything worse) And to be perfectly fair, Jumin is, undeniably, kinky. He’s just less ‘daddy master kink’ than certain parts of fandom thinks.

Personally I’d have preferred it to be BE1 we explored, but alas, fandom wants that pseudo-H content, of which I feel like it’s going to be very hard to really explore without pushing up the game rating if the DLC is of any decent length.

I do think, though, that if this DLC is popular it will be the doorway to other ones. Not a whole lot of those bad endings are as playable as Jumin’s first two bad ends, but there’s a few options out there to be the new ‘valentines day and after ending’ bonus contents for characters, and it opens the door to ‘alternate path’ DLCs. It could be a net positive, because the alternative is that Cheritz is going to be forced to give up on the game completely and move on to a new cashcow unrelated to Mysme entirely.

But if it isn’t, then....

Well.

Jumin’s gonna end up being ‘the only guy that bad ended so hard he got a whole DLC about it. And it was kinky.’ - that’ll be pretty unbearable dealing with fandom. Even if it would mean in a roundabout way that Jumin actually surpassed 707′s popularity in fandom.

I also just like V more because he's actually nice. Like genuinely a nice person. He tries to help Rika, she refuses, they get into an argument, she go pokey pokey V’s eyes now brokey, he helped us escape (I vaguely know what happens in V’s route but I played Saeran’s route three times now, Jumin 4 (doing 5 rn), so I know what happens in saerans route a lot, and i also played his after ending twice.) but in saerans route he decided he can't live without Rika because of this soulmate shit they got going on and Rika in the end is like “i'm gonna turn my sun into ashes” or some shit like that. Emphasis on “my”.

I swear V’s after ending judge route. It's a mess. I could tell you if you want, you probably don't want to get that damn ending yourself anyway. It's worse than most wattpad guilt trip stories like skdbk please why???

Also i think yoosung just has a MAJOR hero worship for her, basically obsession where it can seem like he's in love, but he just looks up to her A LOT. Anyway Rika is adopted :0

What's your opinion on Jimin and V? They both infuriate me because of the way they handled things in the routes. I think Jimin gets a little bit better at the end of his route, but V doesn't seem too. He doesn't tell Saeyoung about his brother, just shows up one day Saeran in tow and is just like 'I'm back'. Even if Saeran didn't want to go back yet, he could at least told Saeyoung what was going on.

tbh most of my opinions on every mm character is that you just have to completely disregard how Normal ppl would act given that the plots of mm are so wild and unbelievable. on the other had though i get why people have qualms w certain characters for how they handle the plot. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ eso si que es

But. as far as jumins route goes i think they just fucking did him dirty w it. with the second bad end/chats leading to it especially. I know it sounds weird to say given that it's his route but those few days are so fucking OOC for jumin. i mean I'll find my own ways to rationalize it bc it Can be rationalized if you care to, but not everyone will. because its fucking weird. not even the end itself but jumin leading up to it.

that being said i LIKE jumin and i like his route save for that. jumins hidden or has Had to hide his emotions and opinions his whole life. his father frequently brings new women in and out of his life, one of the only two people hes ever been able to trust has just committed suicide and he feels like he doesnt even Know either of them anymore, and then MC comes along getting him to open up making him Trust them again and hes worried something similar is going to happen. yeah yeah cat ran away whatever but to ignore what its ACTUALLY about is impossible. rika was one one of the only people and the only Woman he really trusted wholeheartedly as an equal and shes dead the cat she gave him is missing and being overprotective of MC is his one way of gaining control again. if I couldn't rationalize that though it absolutely would have skeeved me out from the get-go, though. so im not surprised Or affronted by the fact that ppl find it irredeemable ig.

now V. V is an even weirder story. he clings to rika from the moment they first met because dont ask me why. i dont know why. is she supposed to remind him of his mother? weird. is he genuinely just that nice of a person? probably. and rika is fucked. rika is traumatized and has been since young childhood. she suffers from what someone who doesnt experience delusions thinks delusions are or how they feel. whatever. and V loves her So Much that if she wont GET help he wont force her so hes going to do whatever He can to help her. until it goes really fucking wrong.

and let's all just be honest and say everything about seven and saeran and especially their backstory doesnt make sense. it ABSOLUTELY hinges on suspension of disbelief. but there are some aspects that do make sense. the stronger older brother in an abusive household is trying to keep himself And his sickly younger brother safe and sane. stumbles across v and rika and we already know mm doesnt Quite take place in our world as we know it and i know fuck all about typical korean life and families so I couldnt tell you why they didnt report their home life to the authorities from the get go. also this whole thing doesnt fucking make sense bc seven and saeran look like MAYBE 10 at this point and V is only 5 years older than them max but him and rika have obviously been together for a while and are Adults here. doesnt track. timeline dont make sense. angway.

but the way I see it is rika had Already started to plot mint eye yadda yadda here and knew that if the boys were separated she could control seven publicly as the stronger twin in a way that makes it seem like they're helping and protecting them both, they just have to be separated. seven can roll w the loneliness and grief of having to leave his brother behind as long as it means hes safe. and w saeran, she can use that same grief and loneliness to manipulate him a different way. behind the scenes. create her perfect believer who will do Anything she says because she saved him, why shouldnt she save everyone else? and j think by the time V realized just how bad rikas mental state was it was too late to Fix it. but he loved her he loved the RFA and the RFA loved rika. he didnt want to taint or tarnish her image w the reality of who she is what shes been doing etc.

after that it's a series of unfortunate events and fucking stupid decisions v thinks hes making for the good and sanity of everyone else. hes given himself a "I'm not a hero i just Have to bear all this by myself forever and fix it alone with no help and save Everyone in the end" complex that sure is with great intentions but leads down a rabbit hole of hurt and fuckery that he cant fix. ever. and I think he was worried about telling seven about saeran because if he had he KNOWS seven would have gone after him alone. and he would have been hurt or killed or worse. he would have been. and V was still trying to save whoever he could. save rika and Hope he could save saeran? save saeran and Hope he could save rika? who knows. I dont. I think V had the BEST intentions. i do. i think he was just a bit of a Rudely untrusting dumbass carrying them out.

but that's what mm is. MC is the character that is meant to push the characters into healing from their fatal flaw. yoosung is slipping from success because up to that point hes hinged his entire future on his older cousin. zen. i dont remember. has to find a happy balance between shooting for the stars but not hiding himself or who he is while doing it? something gay like that. jaehee pushes herself too hard to be successful. to not be a burden. to be financially and socially stable and safe above her own happiness. jumin is cold and untrusting and hides himself because the last time he wasnt/didnt, he got Hurt. seven is the same gay shit as jumin and zen with the added bonus of needing to learn that mc can make their own decisions wrt danger. v needs to stop carrying the world on his shoulders. saeran . . . needs to heal. learn that his life is not intrinsically tied to the lives of others and he can still love people but be his Own person, whole and healed. whether or not you the individual player believe that by the end of the route theyve gotten their first real step in the right direction is up to you.

Ola :) can I request some hc for the RFA reacting to a mc who was working really hard to get a promotion, to the point of exhaustion even, but in the end one of their colleagues, who didn't put half as much effort in it got the promotion, please? :3

Yay my first request!

You had been working at your job for 3 years. It was well past time for you to get a promotion in your opinion, and a spot just opened in an upper level position with a pay raise! In order to stand out, you took on extra projects and double-or-triple checked all your stuff, so you ended up pulling multiple all nighters in a row. When the day came to announce the new promotion, you wore your best outfit and held your head high. The boss then walked straight past you and shook the hand of your office mate, a known slacker and real piece of work. The worker shook the boss’s hand and made a comment about how hard work really pays off. You held it together until you made it home, where you closed the door to your apartment and bounced your head against the door as you tried to hold the tears in.

Yoosung:

-He had prepared a nice meal to celebrate your promotion.

-he knew you had been working non-stop, and he had more than often found you working even after he was done playing LOLOL.

-not to mention he was feeling a little neglected as you worked nonstop, but he had swallowed it down and smothered you in as much care as he could.

-He was super worried about you, and he was so happy it was about to be over and all your hard work was about to pay off.

-when you walked in the door he had just finished putting the food on the table, and he ran to see you when he saw you banging your head.

-”MC? MC what’s wrong?”

-”They gave it to my office mate.”

-Yoosung looked like a fish with his mouth hanging open like that. He knew your office mate. That person was a slacker- even Yoosung knew that.

-To be honest, he was pissed. Yoosung knew how hard you worked and how deserving you were of that position. He had some unrealistic hope that people who worked hard automatically got the best job and the best pay- at least that’s what they taught at school. Jaehee had told him that simply having good grades doesn’t guarantee anything, but it really didn’t sink in how unfair the corporate world was until now.

-However, he knew you needed support. If there is one thing he has learned from you, its that simply being hateful and resentful doesn’t get anything done.

-”MC… I’m so sorry this happened to you. Do you want to talk about it?”

-You shook your head.

-”How about we eat this food, and then we can watch a movie? A movie with stupid bosses who get what they deserve!”

-you laugh and take his hand as he leads you to the delicious food, and as you take the first bite you realize no matter how hard your job is, Yoosung is always your rock. With him by your side, you will always have a supporter who appreciates your hard work. You do the best to return the favor and give him a lot of attention since you’ve been neglecting him for work recently.

Zen:

-Boy oh boy was Zen READY for you to get this promotion

-Between you working for your promotion and him working on his latest show, You guys barely saw each other.

-His show had come out last weekend, and you were only able to come to opening night, although you did go all out and get him roses and totally took the evening off for him.

-He offered to take you to the cast party, and you had declined, saying you needed to work on something again. He was disappointed, but after all you had sacraficed for him, he figured it was the least he could do to support your career as well.

-He had felt guilty when he came home from the cast party at 2 AM and you were still wide awake, papers strewn across the room and dark circles under your eyes.

-When you had left this morning in your best outfit ready to take on the day, he told you to take a selfie and send it to him when you got your promotion.

-As the day went on with no selfie, he started getting nervous. You had probably just forgotten, but he had a bad feeling.

-That feeling was confirmed when you came home and banged your head on the door.

-”Babe… Please don’t hurt that beautiful head of yours…” He said softly, reaching behind you and turning you to his chest.

-When you mumbled that your office mate got it, he was furious. That person definitely didn’t deserve it!

-He scowled at the thought of how big wigs like your boss didn’t understand the hard work you put in- just like that trust fund jerk, they didn’t understand a hard working person and how much they deserve to be recognized.

- He dropped a kiss to your head and started swaying back and forth, singing a song from his recent muscial.

-When you didn’t seem to be following, he switched to your favorite song.

(this one is you trying to switch to a part time position while you are getting ready to open your cafe. You thought you could handle having both jobs until the cafe got more money.)

- You had been working super hard at your job recently, and Jaehee was worried.

-As someone who often overworked herself, she knew what it looked like, and you were overworked.

-Personally she didn’t like your job at all. The end goal for both of you was to work full time at the cafe and leave your job, but with her handling a lot of the finances and records for getting the cafe open, you were the only one making money at the moment.

- You needed to get switched to a part time position now, but your job had limited availability for those jobs, and you needed to prove yourself in a different expertise to get it.

-It wasn’t something you were necessarily good at, so it took a lot of work to do. Not to mention you were trying to run the cafe stuff as well.

-You were totally swamped, and you didn’t do much to ease Jaehee’s concerns.

-”This is just temporary, Jaehee. Once I get this done, everything will be smooth sailing!”

-She smiled at your enthusiasm, and tried to tend to you as much as you would let her. She even helped you sometimes with your tasks if she finished early.

-The day came, and she made you a special latte art of a star in your morning coffee, telling you that you were a star no matter what happened today.

-Well the worst happend.

-When she saw you enter the door and beat your head, she knew what happened.

-She had felt that feeling herself.

- “Oh, MC…” She said softly.

-Jaehee wasn’t much of a touchy person, but she knew you needed a hug right now.

-She wrapped you up in her arms, and felt your tears on her shoulder.

-”MC, I will repeat the words that you said to me earlier this week. All of this is temporary. Soon, we will have this cafe up and running, and you will not need your strenuous job.”

- When you told her that your office mate got the position, she straightened her back a bit and squished up her nose in disgust.

-”I rememeber how it felt to be overlooked for an employee with less drive and ambition… I know how angry and distraught I felt when employers didn’t respect all I had done for them, especially Mr. Han… But Love, this is truly just a stepping stone. Your true dream job is here, with me. In our lovely cafe that you have blessed me with. Please, don’t forget our dream is here… and My dream will always be with you.”

-At this point you melted. Jaehee was always so good with words. You smiled up at her and kissed her on the cheek.

-’Thanks, Jaehee… could we watch some of Zen’s musicals now? I think that would make me feel better.”

-Jaehee smiled brightly and you too spent a beautiful night watching Zen and complaining about stupid jobs and how excited you were to open a cafe together.

Jumin

-You had insisted on keeping your job even after you were married. You said you didn’t like being cooped up in the penthouse all day, and you had fun at your job.

-Jumin was happy you liked what you did, and he tried to be supportive even though he really wished you could live in total luxury without the need to work, but he loved your hardworking attitude.

-When you came to him a few weeks ago speaking of a promotion that became available, he thought it was only right that you get it, as he could see how talented and dedicated you were to your job. You were the kind of person he wanted at C&R and any good boss would appreciate you.

-Little did he know you did not have a boss that was very good at recognizing potential.

-When he started coming home to see you swamped in work, he offered to help, but you insisted you could do it yourself, and you didn’t want to make him work after he had just come home.

-After a few all nighters, he asked again if he could help, or even hire you an assistant, but you insisted you were fine.

-When he came home after a long night at the office to find you asleep on the living room floor surrounded by paper, he had had enough and put you in bed for the night. You had freaked out the next morning about how you didn’t have time to spare for a night of sleep like that, and Jumin had to lightly scold you for not taking care of yourself.

-”My love, I need you to take care of yourself. You are so precious to me, and no job was ever completed by working yourself into the ground. A night’s rest will do you well.”

- He was right of course, and you did a lot better now that you were rested.

-When you left for your job that day, Jumin had had the chef prepare a well-balanced breakfast for you. He kissed you as you left the penthouse, and decided he would come home early so he could celebrate with you.

-He put on a slightly nicer suit than he regularly wore and had the chef make sashimi and wine for you to dine on in celebration.

-When he saw you dejectedly enter the penthouse though, he rushed to your side.

-”My dear, what is wrong?”

-”They gave it to my office mate- you know, the slacker? He made a speech about how ‘hard work really pays off~’”

-Jumin turned you towards him and brushed his fingers through your hair.

-”My love I am so sorry. Who do I need to call to make this right? I know you deserve more than this- and I will do everything I can to make it so.”

-You sniffled and laughed at his intense desire to help.

-”It’s okay Jumin... I don’t need the promotion anyways I guess... I just really wanted my hard work to be recognized...”

- Jumin stared into your eyes for a moment before smirking a playful smile.

-”You want to be acknowledged, you say? My dear, I can acknowledge you as long as you want.”

- He kissed at your cheek, your eyes, and the side of your lips, speaking of all the wonderful ways you make him a better man and acknowledging all you do for him, before passionately kissing you and lifting you into his arms.

-He brought you to the bedroom and ‘acknowledged’ you all night long and pampered you the whole next day as he called into work and got you the day off.

Seven:

-Again, with Saeyoung it wasn’t really about the money but just the acknowledgement that you wanted the promotion.

-You were in your dream field and were about to be promoted to a higher position so that you could do more of what you liked.

- Saeyoung was starting to understand the miracle of having a dream job now that he was building all these toys in his free time and opening a shop to sell them. He wanted you to enjoy your job too.

-When you started to pull all nighters, he was probably the most worried. He knew just how bad it was to mess up your sleep schedule and to work through meals. You had been the person who had stuck with him through his job, and he knew he owed you the same courtesy, but he honestly wasn’t sure he could handle all the worry he had as he watched you slave away at your work at 4 AM.

-So was it really that bad that he had slipped some sleep aid pill into your drink after your fourth all nighter? Probably, especially considering how panicked you had been when you woke up 14 hours later. You guessed it was him who did it, and you had ignored him all day out of spite.

-Now he knew how it felt to be ignored, and it made him all the more mad at himself for doing this to you when he first met you.

-That night you apologized to him with a bag of HBC that you had been saving to get him to eat better, and he told you he was sorry for drugging you. He had just been worried.

-You sighed and kissed him as you told him you forgave him.

-A few days later you left for work in your best clothes, and he had cheered for you all the way out the door.

-He had been working on a toy all day while waiting for your arrival back home, and he had even put on some nice clothes himself to take you out for dinner and a ride. He usually had date nights at home, but you deserved a special night tonight!

-However, when you came home and hit your head against the door, he sprung into action.

- “Hey, hey! Who dares to beat the head of my beautiful fiancee?”

- “A loser who didn’t get a promotion.”

- Saeyoung frowned at this.

- “Baby, you are not a loser. You worked really hard- I’m sure they just don’t realize how good you are!”

- “Yeah, obviously. They chose my office mate.”

-That stunned Saeyoung. He knew your office mate from when he visited you at work. He was constantly looking up videos and talking on tripter whenever he was there, and you constantly complained how you always ended up picking up his slack.

-”MC...”

-”I just... I want to pig out and pretend this day never happened.”

-Saeyoung pulled you into his arms and kissed your head.

-”Now that, we can do.”

-You both went to your room and put on your comfiest pjs, ordered fried wings and all other kinds of shit to eat, and pigged out in the living room while watching your favorite kdrama.

-At some point he pulled you close to him and looked into your eyes with his soul pouring into you, and he whispered into your ear “I don’t care if those idiots at your job don’t see how special you are... You will always be loved and appreciated by me.”

-He got a big kiss for that one.

- The next day your boss had stripped the promotion from your office mate when his computer history and time spent goofing off had been brought to his attention, and you were given the promotion instead! Saeyoung swears it wasn’t him.

Can you make RFA + v + saeran cheats on MC than she knows but they don't know she knows. She take everything she owns and wipe her existence from their home ( takes everything she put and the photos she's in ) than leaves her phone so they won't track her and leave them without a word just a proof of what they did. he didn’t know how it happened, honestly??

one day he was at college and the next he was in a bed with another woman?

he felt so bad, he wanted to tell MC but he knew she would probably leave

he couldn’t lose her

so he kept it a secret, and continued the affair with the woman

only because she was helping him study,, uh-huh, sure yoosung

but of course, MC does find out

and b o y is she angry

she’s so upset and she’s so angry with herself for not finding out sooner and upset at yoosung

especially with the baby she just found out she was having with him

and she was so excited about that too!!

but now she doesn’t know what to do

she ends up wiping everything clean, going incognito completely

she leaves her phone and takes the photos and everything

she doesn’t want any trace

when he comes home he loses it, he knows what happened and what he just lost

months pass and they’re still hoping she might one day show up again

yoosung ends up seeing her at a market and drops everything

he rushes to her and stops dead in front of her when he sees the stomach bulge

had she moved on??

she tries to ignore him and move on but it’s so painful and she’s trying not to cry

he keeps explaining what he did was a mistake and it was reckless and he’s sorry and he won’t do it again

it’s just a lot of frantic apologizing and rambling that she had grown to love

so she gives in, but it’ll take a long time for her to forgive him completely

surprised, he asks her about the baby thinking she was with another guy and stuff

she doesn’t say anything for a moment and speaks softly

“it’s your child” and he’s d e a d- his child?!?! seemed like the guilt doubled at that

she had to deal with a child on the way and the fact the father cheated on her

he hugs her close and apologizes more saying he’ll never do that again

in the end, the two end up happy again, plus a tiny little bab!

it was with one of his co-actors

mc was coming to give him his lunch and walks in his room/thingy ma jiggy

finds him making out with a actor against the wall

she drops the lunch and doesn’t give it second thought, running off

zen sees her, going to chase after her but the directors and others are getting in the way

when he reaches home, he’s to late, everything it gone

the pictures, the phone is left, and her clothes are gone

how did she move so fast??

he ends up alerting the rfa fast, begging for seven and jumin’s help

he needs to find her, he needs to apologize

they search for her and search, but they don’t seem to have any clue where she might be

he’s completely heartbroken, but never gives up

until one day, he gets a call

“are you related to MC?”

his heart drops because he knows how this works

he explains how he’s her ex, and leaves it at that

“sir, i’m afraid she’s passed away from a car accident.”

just when he thought it couldn’t get worse

losing her? forever?

the doctor also explains how she was pregnant and they delivered the baby before she died

and explained how he was the father

he doesn’t hesitate, he figures it all out, signs papers, whatever. that baby is his and he won’t hurt it

he ends up raising the child and always tells he/she how great mc was

but he still cries as night, because he knows he won’t ever see her.

so this one girl slithers right on up like “hey you need a place to crash?”

but i make the worst mistakes when i’m sleep deprived

so she could’ve easily mistaken this chick for mc

so she goes, right

easily submissive, tired, got some of that good puss ya feel

of course, mc being the generous person they are, goes to Jaehee’s work

also to deliver the news that hey, the sperm donor thingy was successful. she was preggo.

but she gets there, and to her surprise, no jaehee

so she asks around, blah blah, and one person explains how jaehee went home with another chick

now, mc isn’t one to assume, so she calmly leaves and just goes home

doesn’t even call

she trusts jaehee, maybe she was doing work at the chick’s house

so morning comes, ye?

and jaehee comes home, super early, super super fucking guilty

but oh me oh my mc was there

mc ends up speaking from the couch, all calmly and startling the shit out of jaehee

it got to the point the whole rfa was worried sick

they couldn’t find mc at all

so they eventually just.. gave up

she became nothing but a distant memory

okay so jumin,,, tsk tsk. he would never ever hurt mc, but a few slip ups happen here and there

im sure something happened at his work, or the dude just fucked up

he probably ended up banging some girl while drunk in a cat suit for god sakes

anyways, he probably would tell mc right away, because he loves her and can’t lose her blah blah

anyways, i’m sure when she found out she was devastated because knowing jumin

she was informed of this over phone while he’s on a trip

the call goes well, she pretends it’s okay but inside she’s breaking

and what’s worse is she was just about to tell him the results came back positive

thats right. mc is pregnant fuckers.

and she’s just, broken and she doesn’t know what to do except to run

so she does, she packs her shit, everything into the multiple suitcases

it’s not hard to bypass everyone, if she explains she’s off on a trip to the spa or something

she manages to explain how she’d rather walk to said ‘spa’ to relax

but really she’s just, leaving

nowhere else to go

she ends up disappearing though, and whenever jumin calls and doesn’t get a answer, he panics and calls the guards

but there’s literally no sign of her, all her pictures are gone

jumin freaks out more because 1. he knows what he did and it’s his fault and 2. he’s worried mc will get hurt

he ends up bringing out the big guns, goes crazy to search for her

he comes home straight after, alerts rfa and everything.

everyone’s on a wild goose chase to find her

eventually they find her, thanks to seven finding her friends’ places and doing a big ‘ol search, even if she left her phone

which she obviously did, she’s not stupid

by this time a couple of months has passed, because ya know, i said so

when they find her (she had been staying at a distant cousins house a few states away)

they knocked on the door and it wasn’t the guards or anything, no it was jumin

he looked like a mess, for once in his life

he was acting just like when he lost elizabeth

he begs and begs and apologizes (professionally, ofc)

just kidding

he notices the baby bulge too and it doesn’t take an idiot to do the math and realize

it breaks him even more because she kept it and he didn’t even know

it takes a lot of persuading and a lot of lost trust needed to be rebuilt, but she eventually does come back

she loves him even if he fucked up

many months later, things are back to normal- somewhat

they now have a little tiny munchikin :oo

Saeyoung

he knows it too when he wakes up the next morning and he’s not in the same bed and you aren’t around

and the girl next to him is totally unregistered in his mind and he knows nothing

either way, mc would be pissed

because last week she found out she was pregnant with his child

so tears running down her face, she actually begins to pack right in front of his eyes

now he’s breaking down, begging her to stop and beginning to cry

he even goes to grab her hand but she yanks it and slaps him right across the face

“don’t fucking touch me, who knows where those hands have been.” she most likely snarled under her breath because WOO she’s upset.

they don’t have a lot of pictures to begin with, so she doesn’t worry about those. she doesn’t even bother with his phone

as she’s leaving she turns, goes to grab his hand

he thinks she might change her mind or something to keep her from leaving

but it’s actually just her phone and a sad and broken smile

so she finds where mc is staying (with her parents) and calls

basically she explains and like, begs mc to at least come over

mc can’t really say no. she loves saeyoung and she adores jaehee

so she does, arrives to his place and everything

before she can enter the arabic thing, it opens and seven’s there with tears and almost trips when he bends over and apologizes

like. a lot.

mc got to like 100 before she told him to stop

they talk, obviously, about them and about her baby

yes, saeyoung it’s yours

he’s mixed with sadness and so much joy

months down the road, you guys are better and with a little baby

mc doesn’t regret coming back to saeyoung thank god

jihyun probably just did a small fuckity uppity.

basically, he went to a photo contest and won, so a lot of girls were on him

and drinks were there

and it went from 1 drink, to 2, to 5.

it didn’t go well, especially when mc had traveled all her way to surprise jihyun with her pregnancy test

so when she arrives at his hotel and finds it unlocked with clothes scattered everywhere, her heart drops

then switches to angry like nu-uh hunny no one cheats on me

she walks into the bedroom and tosses clothing at v, giving him a startling wakeup

she’s yelling and ranting and then finally tosses her phone and pregnancy test

“hope you’re happy” is the last thing she says before slamming the door and leaving

v is.. DISTRESS.

he chases after her, lotsa stumbling and half nakedness too.

but she’s already out of the building

she thankfully gets a ride and manages to find a hotel to stay at

she doesn’t talk to anyone, so v has to suffice for the explanation

it doesn’t go so well either with the group

just like the previous ones, they’re upset and angry

mc definitely never deserved that

and v knows that

so he takes it into his own hand. he doesn’t return, but literaly S E A R C H E S for mc

day and night

it’s becoming draining, and he’s using her phone and only the memories of her to help him

and eventually he finds her

and he’s just, so awful and distressed mc has to double take

“what are you doing v?” and he just, breaks down apologizing

he’s crying, it’s some nasty crying too

he’s begging for her forgiveness, down on his knees and grabbing his hands

mc doesn’t really know what to do,,, honestly

she’s so conflicted? but she knows he loves her and she loves him

so with hesitant moving, she bends down and just,,, hugs him

and if you’ve ever seen someone breaking down worse but because they’re so happy

they end up staying at the hotel a bit longer to detress and later on, have their baby!!! its very cute and i love v thanks

okay so,, i imagine he met them from mint eye? just a friend that also got out of mint eye too?

so anyways they start messaging after saeran and mc start dating and saeran is a bit clueless

until she shows up at their literal house and comes and is like

“mmm yes saeran” and he’s like “nOoOoo!”

but for plot yea it happened

anyways so he wakes up and he realizes and he’s just,,,so guilty

but like saeyoung he’d tell mc

but he’d make it very blunt, yet very emotional so mc is a very big ????????????????

she’s so hurt and so angry, especially after coming back from the doctors

but she can’t just,, leave the two siblings alone

so she ops for the couch, even though saeyoung is confused

when he finds out though he’s so concerned, especially because later during the night he sees saeran occasionally pop his head out to stare at mc who was asleep on the couch

“dude, you fucked up” “it wasn’t my fault?” “????????????”

so saeyoung and him talk about it

yes, saeran was guilty for going through it, but saeran hasn’t exactly been used to all this

mc had to understand this, and saeyoung was sure she did

but despite his efforts, saeran and mc can just... not talk

mc’s to upset and bothered about something, and saeran doesn’t just understand

so when saeyoung finally forces them (with a bit of exasperated yelling)

mc blurts out “im pregnant”

silence.

saeran just... stares? “is it mine?”

“of course it is you dimwit.”

that breaks a bit of tension because she laughd and saeran cracks a much needed smile

so they do talk

saeran explains his point and mc explains her point

they eventually understand, and comfort each other

mc goes over to hug and saeran’s just... smiling and saeyoung feels proud

and proud of himself but yknow

later on they have a cute little brown haired baby with orange eyes and theyre so cute!!!!
