9S & 2B being in a poly relationship with a human

2B and 9S are deadly protective of you! 

not only are you the last human known to exist, but you're also their beloved partner and so much weaker than any android and machine out there

the three of you are always together, because both of your android partners want to make sure you are safe

they trust each other to keep you safe, yet they still can't help but worry that something might go terribly wrong when they aren't there to protect you

9S and 2B are also dating each other, yet still get a bit jealous of each other when it comes to you

after all, 2B knows that there are things in a relationship that only 9S can offer you, like cheering you up with his energetic personality whenever you're sad

meanwhile 9S knows that he can't do everything that 2B can do, like protect you in battle and he worries that he's lacking too much for him to be your favorite

but you don't have any favorites between the two of them! 

you love both of your partners and they both offer things the other one doesn't have, which is why they work so well together! 

9S loves to hear you talk about humanity and how things used to be before the war, though often asking more about small things he doesn't understand

there was one time you came across an abandoned playground and you had to explain what a swing was to 9S, who couldn't understand how humans used something this inefficient, that only moved in such a limited space

9S loves to learn everything about humanity though and he tends to drown you in questions, until 2B steps in and tells him to slow down with all of the questions

2B is the more serious one out of the two and while you tend to have more fun with 9S, you can relax more with 2B and have meaningful conversations with her

2B often comforts you whenever you miss humanity and lends you a shoulder to cry on if you need to

9S on the other hand attempts to distract you as a way of cheering you up, by bringing you small gifts that might help lift your mood

but only 2B has enough courage out of the two of them to ask you uncomfortable questions about humanity and your past

for example, if you'd return to your normal life if you were given the chance and if you'd leave them behind…

though no matter how often that question comes up, your answer is always the same; you wouldn't leave those two for anything in the world!

being in a love triangle with 2B & 9S

pairing: 2B x gn!reader x 9S

tags: slight jealousy, minor mention of injured 2B & 9S

9S is very open about his feelings for you, while 2B is reluctant to show how much she cares for you

after all, 2B knows that androids are prohibited from showing emotions, which is why she's so hesitant to get closer to you

9S doesn't seem to have a problem with that though, which often gets him a scolding from 2B

however, the times 2B does show her emotions towards you always feel very special, knowing that she expresses them so rarely

even slight affection from 2B, Iike her placing her hand on your shoulder or carrying you off if you're even slightly hurt in battle feel so intimate

both 2B and 9S make an effort to protect you in battle, which starts with 2B usually making you stick around her during missions, so she can keep an eye on you

though the bonus of being close to you is always nice to have…

9S and 2B tend to get pretty reckless when it comes to protecting you, often getting injured in your place

though it's not so bad, since they know you'll patch them up afterwards, which means they'll get to be close to you and enjoy your company

9S tries to take you on a ton of dates, which he tends to disguise as missions, only for 2B to often ruin his plans and remind him of the actual mission they have

though it's also an excuse for her to keep you away from 9S

2B is the more jealous one out of the two, always feelings this aching feeling in her chest when she sees you with 9S, even if it shouldn't be possible for her to feel this way

the worst is when you call him Nines, since 2B wants nothing more than to get a cute nickname from you as well, yet would never dare to bring that up

but the worst things about this love triangle is how deeply 9S and 2B care about each other and are aware of the others feelings for you

the two of them don't want to hurt each other when spending time with you, yet they aren't the type to just give up on you either

but no matter which one of them you end up choosing, the other might be hurt at first, but they'll always be supportive of the relationship!

Episode 2

Episode 2 hurt me more than the dogs I was watching. Please continue to hurt me Taro.

This is really what I was expecting from a Nier anime, more of the world and ambiance beyond our usual dalliances through the city ruins. Lily is here and has made the Number 2 connection (I wonder if she and Anemone will talk about that/Pearl Harbor episodes?).

That Gardener, my poor guy. I’m glad we’re getting novella stuff in the anime and I can’t wait for more. It was a brilliant sequence of dialog free story telling, as well as hinting to how the machines can further develop given the time/chance.

The 9S and 2B relationship is... I love these two, Nines is acting like a dork and 2B is fueling that trash fire. He is a snarky, hyper fixated, nerd who only seems overly cheery because he’s partnered with ‘emotions are prohibited’ 2B. I forget if it was a short story or a concert script that had Nines mention 2B isn’t as good at hiding her emotions as she thinks, so I wonder how much of that we’ll get to see. There was plenty in the game, but I’m hoping they sneak more in. The ending also has me wrapped around its finger. It displayed their relationship, or at least 2B’s view of it, wonderfully.

Drakengard mention. Devola and Popula doing odd jobs despite being incredibly useful as healers, as well as how they are treated by the Resistance. 

I was most intrigued by how the Resistance reacted to Yorha arriving. 2B and 9S saving them was treated like a hand of God smiting your foe, so we’re already getting that religious/meaning of life stuff.

Lastly, the Adam egg was already in the process, so does that mean we won’t get the desert robot sex cave? Come on Taro.

Speaking of Taro, that puppet show... He set them up to kill themselves and if that ain’t the theme of all his works I don’t know what is.
