WIP Wednesday 8/23/23 Closed | Math Nerd AU
"Coach Moriyama." Neil greets and Andrew can tell that it isn't what is expected based on how Riko and Jean flinch. "Here to see Jean and I off? How kind." he says and steps forward so that he was between Tetsuji and the rest.
Tetsuji's eyes narrow. "Someone has made off with something very personally important to me." Tetsuji says, "Based on some footage it would appear that you may have... accidentally gone into my office and stolen it." he extends his hand, "Return it to me." he says.
Andrew can only see the back of Neil's head but can see him look down at Tetsuji's extended hand. Still, Andrew can more than imagine the expression on Neil's face by his rebuttal, "My apologies Coach Moriyama, but the only thing that I took were things that my teammate left behind." Neil says voice saccharine sweet.
"He did not leave it behind, they are mine." A muscle in Tetsuji's cheek twitched. "Now give it back before-
"Oh, will you call the cops?"Neil interrupts head tilted, "I suppose you can get me charged with a crime. I'll say publicly what it was exactly that I stole, admit to my wrongdoings and-"
Andrew isn't fast enough to get between Neil and Tetsuji's fist, only fast enough to move past Riko and catch Neil before he was splayed out on the ground.

WIP Wednesday (8/23) | Arsonist Neil / Firefighter Andrew AU
As usual, Andrew is the first one suited up and ready to go. This is mostly because he lounges in his turnout pants and boots most of the time. It saves him a couple minutes. He hauls himself up onto the truck and watches as the rest of his team rushes up and on. Renee drops onto the seat next to Andrew, then Captain Wilds takes her spot in the passenger seat. Finally, Boyd hops up into the cab and as soon as he’s slammed the door shut, they’re off.
It doesn’t take long to get to the fire. It’s an old restaurant that’s been closed for longer than Andrew has been alive. They pile out and start yanking the hoses down.
“We’ll start here at the front. Andrew, can you start at the back?” Wilds asks.
“Yeah.” Andrew drags one of the hoses down and starts down the alley to the back of the building, which is engulfed in orange. Andrew isn’t expecting to see anyone. Especially someone who’s not in a firefighter’s uniform. But there’s a man in a hoodie and a pair of jeans leaning up against the fence with his arms crossed in front of his chest, watching the flames.
“What the fuck are you doing back here?” Andrew asks. The man jolts and looks at Andrew with huge blue eyes. He opens his mouth, then closes it.
"I. Um..."
"There's a fire going on. Why are you back here? It's not safe." Andrew says, looking over his shoulder. {click here to see gorgeous fanart by @tisaqslur!}
"Oh. You're right. Thanks, Mr. Firefighter." The auburn haired man says, hitting Andrew with a dazzling smile. Andrew is so caught off guard by it, he nearly loses his grip on the water hose. The man laughs at his apparent clumsiness and waves, then he vaults over the tall fence and disappears.

Back when Jason was Robin, the Green Lanterns were always, always draped across one another – literally – or leaning against one of their super friends, or even their non-super friends, but generally just always touching someone. Jason remembers asking Hal Jordan, way back when, why he was always hanging off one of the others.
Hal had smiled sadly, a distant look in his eyes, and said, “Space is very, very lonely, Robin, and Humans? We aren’t meant to be alone.”
Jason suspects – has suspected – that Rayner is very, very alone.

HELLO BESTO FRIENDO I give you a some same team rivalry :)) for WIP Wednesday 8/23/23
The whispers continued, shared over necklines, and passed around like an opponent’s line-up stats. Neil pulled his jersey over his head and grabbed his helmet. He was a few steps from the door to the court when the doors on the other side opened. Andrew strolled in with a large, new Denver Puma sports equipment bag over his shoulder. The coach was just behind him, clipboard in one hand and the other lifted for silence. He didn’t need the gesture, the locker room had done mute when Andrew had walked in.
“I’m going to repeat some of this later in our debrief, but you all will now be sharing a locker with Andrew, I don’t want to hear about any funny business.” He looked around the players. “We’re all adults and professionals, alright?”
There were mumbled replies of agreement and Neil waited until the coach caught his stiff nod before shoving through to the court. Only a handful of other players were on the court, Allison was still in the locker room. Shoes squeaked behind him and Jodie appeared at Neil’s side.
“Well, how do you think the scrimmage is going to go?” Jodie hummed.
Neil looked out at the court. Andrew’s uninformed early arrival was clear grounds that he was operating on the dramatics of it all. Neil stopped at the edge of the inner wall and dropped his forehead onto the plexiglass. The dull thump of his impact vibrated along the acrylic.
The wall was hard under his forehead. “It’s going to be brutal.”
There was no way Andrew would let a single ball into the goal if he could help it—and he could.

Hmm, that is tricky, I am going with all of the Weyler Week 2023.

No, but I have recently had some heavy discussions on a Wenovan fic I did... The Dark & Depraved.

Yes and... well I did the Weyler Week Kink Bingo, So it is safe to say, all flavours?

No. I can't really mold the two worlds together I am afraid.

No. Not at this stage.

I did have the wonderful honour of using @ilregnodidolcenera prompt and guide to write The Darkside.

Distracted Penmanship - I hope to one day have it finished, I really have a few great ideas in mind! I have also started but...

I loved the idea from the very beginning and the first chapter (originally a one shot), flew out of me in one night. I was obsessed.

Neil furrows his brow as if it's a strange question but Neil hasn't gone through a practice with an irate Kevin Day picking apart every single weakness you've ever had.
"Of course you are?" Neil says, "You've always held the line well." Neil says, "I saw the game against the Jackals back in January. You locked their Ace striker down." he says and Matt finds it hard to not smile like an idiot.

WIP Wednesday (8/23) | Guardian Angel Neil AU
“Fuck you,” Andrew says with no heat. Then he shrugs. “My week was fine.”
“Any near death experiences I need to know about?” Neil asks with a cocked brow.
“Wouldn’t you have shown up to save me if I’d had one?” Andrew asks.
“I… Maybe. I’m still not sure how it works,” Neil smiles sheepishly. “I don’t know if it’s automatic or if I have to just stalk you and wait.”
“You’re stalking me,” Andrew repeats, face blank.
“Well, not exactly.” Neil says, quickly waving his hands. “I mean. I follow you from a distance, just in case something happens.”
“Legally, that’s stalking.”
“Don’t tell the angel police.”
“I won’t.” Andrew shifts to lie down with his back against the concrete.
“Thanks.” Neil moves so he’s sitting cross-legged and facing Andrew. Andrew looks from him to the sky and it’s almost uncanny how the color is almost the same. Maybe his eyes are reflecting the sky. Maybe it’s the other way around.
“I’m trying to decide if I should tell my therapist about you.” Andrew admits. “What do you think?”
Neil’s eyes widen. “She’ll think you’ve lost your mind.”
“Exactly.” Andrew sighs.
It’s quiet for a moment, then Neil asks, “What’s your favorite food?”
Andrew turns his head to look at the boy. There’s an impish quality to his features and his face is littered with scars. Burns on one side and cuts on the other. Andrew drops his gaze to Neil’s hands which share the same abuse. Someone did this to him on purpose. If anything, it seems like Neil’s the one who needed a guardian angel.
Andrew finally looks away silently. Out of the corner of his eye, he notices the angel’s shoulders slump at being ignored. Andrew closes his eyes. He doesn’t know how to get rid of a hallucination. He doesn’t know if he wants to. This is the most he’s spoken outside of Bee’s office since he was with…
Andrew stomps that thought down. Pushes it to the back of his mind where all thoughts of Cass go. And when he opens his eyes, Neil is gone again.

I'm attempting WIP Wednesday this week !!! Inspired by @jtl-fics, playing @kedreeva 's game!
It’s WIP Wednesday, time for a little accountability, sharing your work, and getting a kick in the pants.
Here’s how it works:
In a reblog of this post (so people can find you in the notes) or new thread (w/ rules attached) if you want to play on your own, post up to five (5) filenames of your WIPs; not titles, file names.
Post a snippet from one of them. Snippet must be words you wrote in the last 7 days. We’re posting progress here. If you haven’t made any, go make some and come back to play!
