I had fun in Arkansas. On the way there I thought I was being smart but since I’m a dork it backfired on me. I programmed the apple map on my phone to take me outside St. Louis, which it did. I thought (because I didn’t confirm this) that it was going to dump me back to the highway. Oh no. Not a chance. It took me through the mountains in Missouri. It was beautiful , but not what I wanted to do. I did find out that it would be fun to go visit Herman, Missouri, it looks like a German settlement, a very picturesque town. Then there’s Cuba Missouri which is on highway 66. There were lots of grape vines, not sure if they were wineries, I didn’t have time to research as I was trying hard to get out of the mountains. Especially because it’s so desolated and I was traveling by myself. Then on top of that when I stopped to get gas and a couple of snacks, I get back in my car and didn’t have any signal so my gps didn’t know where to go. I had to go around the little town for about 5 minutes until I got signal. So it would be smart to carry a map just in case. I had no clue where I was going. On the way back I did go through St. Louis. It’s better to put up with 45 minutes of madness than get stuck on the mountains. I got together with my former coworkers and learned all the gossip going around. My friend Janice was in Little Rock so I was only able to get together with her once, we did use her pool though. We’ll be going back in September only for a couple of days. This time David will go as well. Oh by the way, I did wave both times going through Cedar Rapids 😂 @excelwithpassion didn’t you feel it???! 😂😂😂
