Give me a new Scott Pilgrim comic where it's years later, his relationship with Ramona has hit a rough spot and she breaks up with him, so he buys a ring and tries super hard to win her back, and it's like a 90s rom com ("doesn't she see that I'm not the 20-something boy I was in 200x? I've learned and grown as a person. It's 202x and I'm a 30-something-pushing 40-something man. I need to prove myself to her!") right up until the second act twist when he sees her new partner training to defeat him and he realizes "oh $#!+, I'm her 8th evil ex..." And then the comic rewinds and we see Ramona's new relationship from her perspective, and it's a lot healthier than hers and Scott's ever was, and when it catches up to the present Scott decides that this isn't a rom com, he can't win her back, and it's best to move on and just be friends because they're both happier long term this way.

This staff in SPOP

Specifically in Season 5 episode 2 "Launch":

Seems to be a staff Hordak and Horde Prime used in other incarnations:

It's (fittingly) most similar to MOTUC Horde Prime's staff (the second from the left).

Adora as Despara (in past in MOTUC and when possessed by Horde Prime and in DC comics) used a similar staff:

Which was identified as the Staff of Despair, which was used by Hordak's, Horde Prime's and Hord-Or's mother, Quintessa

Though it is Horde Prime's trophy room, it could be here due to being a weapon he used in his conquest, rather than a trophy he got from conquest.

Still, these staffs were at least partly magical, and Horde Prime has a dislike/distrust even fear to a degree of magic, due to not understanding it fully and not being able to control it, it being to chaotic. But I think it is possible Horde Prime once used magic (and there are hints he might be on some level, a creature of magic himself), but grew to dislike magic, due to not being able to control as fully as likes, or it was used against him in a way he couldn't counter. It's possible it was even during the invasion of of Krytis, with Melog's people magic being able to misdirect and overwhelm him and the Horde (even if it was a pyrrhic victory), and Prime not being able to think of a counter with his own skill at magic, was what produced this dislike.

He also was able to use the Heart of Etheria (a magic-technology construct) easily after analyzing, thanks to Hordak's research on the First Ones, and he did possibly want to conquer Krytis specifically for it's magic (though it is possible just First Ones presence was what attracted him there).

Just a theory, and it is most probably just an Easter Egg though, or the staff is technological in nature in SPOP.

I can't decide on the design of his visor. The original is neat, but I'd think it's kinda bulky when he's sleeping and washing, and wanted to try a more slimmed-down version. I kinda like the Dark Souls III-vibe of #4 and #5, and the veil on #2 or #6. I got hooked on the jewel-eyes early on. On the fence with beard/no-beard. Green or bronze/gold?

I'd appreciate some input.

S5 She-Ra transformation inspirations

This is a very well liked form, and in-universe we know the source of this transformation - being based on Adora's bonds with Catra, Bow and Glimmer, as even shown in the concept of it by Ray Geiger:

The headpiece/diadem reflecting Catra's mask/headpiece; the heart on the upper chest referencing that of Bow's, in the same location; the winged boots, being inspired by Glimmer's boots. The Boots and diadem changed a bit, with the wings on the boots being a a bit different, and visible only in close-ups:

Still, there are out-universe inspirations.

One is, of course, being intentionally more similar to Filmation She-Ra:

But there are others. Starting from the 3 mentioned details connected to Adora's loved ones.

The diadem reflecting Catra's mask, almost certainly is inspired by the fact in the original She-Ra toy and minicomics, the headpiece doubled as a mask, mirroring Catra's mask:

Modern toys also referenced this, including Masterverse She-Ra:

The heart symbol, along with the pauldrons and upper looking like coming of elongated bustier's wings, might be inspired by the 2002 design of She-Ra, and it's influence on the initial concept art by Nate Stevenson. As the the choker and higher located, and longer bustier wings/feathers, create together an image of a heart (especially on the 200X She-Ra doll), and resemble together the season 5 form:

Like in the 2002 design of She-Ra, the uppermost ray of the She-Ra symbol "pierces" the bottom of the heart shape. While unofficial, this is even more visible in gbagok's take on the 200X She-Ra design:

The choker-like part of S5 She-Ra's upper armor, resembles also the DC She-Ra's open choker:

This is possibly not the only influence from that design.

the wings on S5 She-Ra's boots, appear to also be inspired by the Nate Stevenson's initial design:

It also appears the golden "bracelets" on S5 She-Ra thighs, appear to have elements of the 200X design of She-Ra, especially as seen on the toy - they appear to be in part inspired by the bracelets on it. But also combined with the golden decorations on the skirt, coming from the belt, both creating together a vaguely downward upside down, triangle shape, and have feather/wing motives, in more or less the same location:

It's notable the wing-like/feather-like part of the bracelets, is actually on their front part, as seen from the side:

It also seems to be inspired by downward triangular/arrow shape on the skirt in Nate Stevenson's concept:

Which itself appears to be inspired by the 200X design's golden decoration of the skirt I mentioned.

The bracelets/rings, also might be inspired by Mara's single ring on her right thigh in her original design:

It's a bit complicated though, as the rings/bracelets, might be a decorative upper part of over the knee boots, though I think the inspirations for it still hold up.

Mara's She-Ra transformation does appear to further influence Adora's transformation into She-Ra, both in and out of universe:

IE, similar pauldons, boots (including golden lining on the upper end of boots), detailed bracers, wearing long pants, and similar skirt.

As I wrote when analyzing the possible inspirations for Mara's design, this design being influenced by MOTUC' Galactic Protector She-Ra, the same applies to S5 She-Ra. Especially that like in the MOTUC storyline this form debuted, Adora wen to outer space, and confronted Horde Prime there, like in season 5 of SPOP:

Though the skirt also resembles that of She-Ra in DC:

Though without the crotch flap compared to both DC and Galactic Protector She-Ras. It's possible here either, or both were an inspiration. The skirt also has in this form rather uniquely merged with/subsumed the cape. Which is also similar to how in minicomics, when She-Ra used her headpiece as a mask (apparently to use her full power/truly transformed into She-Ra), her cape disappeared (as seen in the page near this post's top).

It's interesting, and I think fitting the final form of Adora's transformation, has such (possibly) rich inspirations from MOTU and POP history.

Five Snake Mountain Headcanons

Skeletor

Only a very few select servants are allowed into his quarters to clean, and all of them are mute and illiterate.

He has forbidden all cults and religions around Snake Mountain, unless they are centered around him.

He personally trained one group of acolytes whose sole purpose is to protect Snake Mountain with magic spells.

He has a whole slew of researchers and mages who examine all magical artifacts and tomes for him before he puts his hands on them, in case they are cursed.

There has been so many assassination attempts on him that he has become immune to several poisons.

Evil-Lyn

She loves jewelry, fancy outfits, and anything to spoil herself, and her quarters are gaudily decorated with only the best and finest.

She has a full royal bath in her quarters, with musicians, masseurs, hair stylists and servants attending her every need.

Twice a year she goes on a shopping/stealing spree. No-one wants to go with her.

She hides her age with glamours and make-up. She hates the fact that she is getting older, and tries to find an eternal-youth potion or spell in her free time.

She refuses to keep servant girls around her if they are young and pretty.

Tri-Klops

He knows elven and dwarven crafts, and can infuse enchantments into his works.

He spent some of his youth in dwarven mines, and is perhaps the only outsider in Eternia who can read dwarven runes, and speak their language.

Without his visor he is completely blind. His other senses are hyper sensitive, to the point he can taste and smell the difference in different metals when working in the forge.

He was trained in swordsmanship by his mother.

He's a fantastic singer.

Trap Jaw

Robert Baratheon has nothing on this hoe. Half of the bastards in the Dark Hemisphere are probably his.

Dad-sneezes, dad-snores, ass-scratches, dad-jokes.

His own father was a travelling merchant from the Dark Hemisphere. Kronis often visited Eternos City in his childhood, and once even played with Randor and Duncan. None of them remembers it.

Before he was recruited by Keldor, he was a highly successful and powerful bandit chieftain.

He regularly goes for a drink in the taverns around Snake Mountain. And eats the glass as well.

Beast Man

He was a shaman of his people. Controlling animals is a taboo among the Beastmen tribes, and so he was exiled.

The whip he wields once belonged to a slaver who tried to tame him. He killed the slaver, took the whip, and for a time became a slaver himself.

He can't handle cooked food or dairy, and only eats raw meat, fruits and vegetables.

He can neither read nor write.

He is not allowed near the good furniture.

Mer-Man

He has no wife, but several concubines in his sea palace, who all fight for his favor.

He looks down on the other Evil Warriors as uncivilized, uneducated and unrefined.

If he stays on land for too long his scales starts to itch.

He plays an instrument unique to the Merfolk, which sounds like a mixture of a harp and bass.

He was once tasked with overseeing the sewers of Snake Mountain, and nearly started a rebellion.

Snake Mountain

There is a whole city of workers living in and around Snake Mountain, consisting of guards, soldiers, servants, cooks, smiths, researchers, clerks, and the like. Outside the mountain there can be found all manner of shops and entertainment, from butchers, tanners and miners, to taverns, brothels and temples.

Each of the Evil Warriors oversee dozens of subordinates in their different spheres. Beast Man have animal handlers that helps him maintain his menagerie; Tri-Klops have assistant inventors and smiths working in his forges and workshops; and Trap Jaw handles security and leads the guard patrols in and around Snake Mountain.

Before Skeletor came to power, hundreds of rivaling warlords, merchant princes, nobles, bandit chieftains and cultists were fighting for power in the Dark Hemisphere. Even now the occasional rebellion has to be put down, but this is the longest period of peace the Dark Hemisphere has enjoyed for centuries.

Every region of the Dark Hemisphere under Skeletor's control pay tribute to Snake Mountain. Gold, food and drink, pelts, fabrics, leather, timber, slaves and magical artifacts, and everything else the inhabitants need. The trade lines are extremely important for Snake Mountain's survival and carefully guarded.

There are sections of Snake Mountain were not even the cleaners are allowed to go, only Skeletor and his Evil Warriors, and sometimes only Skeletor. The Void, where the Snakemen were trapped, is one such place.
