Punk Percy Jackson headcanons but by an actual punk instead of someone who thinks skateboarding is an aesthetic

So first off this will include my Pjo self-insert Lex de los Santos since i'm a book!Percy selfshiper(and Walker is my little guy so expect lots of appreciation for him on this blog too)and if you're gonna be hateful of that,please just scroll past thanks!Now lets get into it:

Always had the punk mindset as seen in canon by her being anti-authority,rebelling against all corruption she sees and being extremely protective and loving towards younger minorities

But was too poor to afford the clothes and piercings and such.Didn't bother him though since he cared more about acting and thinking punk than looking it

Thalia was his first real experience with the subculture headon and that's a big reason why he admired and was lowkey jealous of her along with a bit of gender envy

Goes to protests with and does charity work with Rachel

And she buys him a bunch of punk stuff(From punk bussinesses ofc,otherwise what's the point)

Learned to DIY so many things it's a running gag

Riot Grrrl and Mcr fan-Also not punk but stans Megan Thee Stallion,Ice Spice and Lo-Fi beats too.Also really likes Green Day!!

The specific types of punk Percy is are afropunk(i hc them as half afro-dominican and half black-greek),seapunk(NOT because of Poseidon but because of Sally)and either crustpunk or pastel punk depending wether we're talking her as a bigender transfem and a misc between masc and fem presentation or her as a super femme trans woman.Not for gender roles reasons obviously because that would be ridicioulous but i just think that their lives would be significantly so that leads to a few differences in personalities and tastes

Persephone Ameila has comics!Starfire hair and dyes her faded from gray to white streak sea blue to blend in,Perseo Isadore has dreads and keeps his as is because Lex finds it hot.Here are illustrations of them by @honeypotsworld and @leo-thecactus using bases from the Pjo graphic novels!!

Radicalized Nico and Hazel,who are now goth punk and pastel goth punk.The three of them and Lex are known as 'The Outcast Godlings' because of the usual treatment Hades and Pluto kids get that the first two were no exception to and Percy's and Lex's feelings of isolation and otherness even after getting to Camp Half Blood,all of which were thankfully resolved by the the end of Hoo and the begining of Tales of Dead Seas(My fansequel to it that happens instead of Toa and has them as the mcs)

Exclusively buys his video games and consoles and legos secondhand due to being anti-capitalism

Killed Luke in TLO not only because of being the hero of the prophecy but also because no actual punk wouldn't unalive a fascist who was also a serial ped0phile the second they got the chance.She made sure it was extra painful too and even had Nico use his soul erasing power we saw in BOO on him

Owns a pair of colbat blue and black demonias that Beckendorf got him which are a little tight on him now but he wears them anyway to remember him by

Them and Lex make clothes for Nico and Hazel with Sally's help and play the Team Parents role for them in general♡

Perlex is punk4punk but Lex is pastel punk and solarpunk!!They go on punk dates like going to concerts together in matching outfits and skateboarding and rollerblading in their opposites aesthetics board and skates and defacing public property together <3 Also Percy has the cocky flirty punk guy thing going on you usually see in male characters who are but it's a Lex exclusive

in celebration of the finale: my top 5 moments from each only friends character so far

*top moments here means moments that had me pointing and screaming at my laptop like the leo meme*

we did top, mew, boston, and nick, next up: ray

now ray is my favourite character, hes my guy, hes my begrudging blurred reflection so its really hard to narrow down his moments to 5 because there are the times hes so cute and i smile when hes on my screen and the times he says things that were written to destroy me personally and times i want to strangle him for being a little bitch because i get it but also he is a little bitch. but anyway, maybe ill do a different one just for moments that destroyed me and focus on lighter ones here

5. "if you're my friend you'll have to take care of me in every way"

ray was upfront about what the sandray dynamic would be from the beginning there was no pretending it would be anything else lmao. as an enjoyer of "fucked up character who thinks theyre unlovable meets character who is predestined to love and care for them in ways they couldn't imagine", i was immidiately hooked. like a goner. i knew at this moment they would destroy me and i was right. (also if this was a top sandray moments list that cigarette kiss would be number 1, i watched it 7 times in a row last night, altered my brain chemistry again)

4. making sand undress him in the dressing room

the way he just stands there with his hands in the air smiling, fantastic. 10/10 little prince moment

3. let me sleep hereeeeeeeee

the way he barges into the camper in the middle of the night, inserts himself between sand and nick, fights off sand trying to push him off the bed, just to lay down in his spot and wrapping himself around sand. the little "good night nick". perfect. makes me kick my feet and giggle every time

2. pleeeeeeeaaaaaaaaase

great ongoing bit, one that we havent seen as much recently but still very important to me. just pathetic and annoying and perfect

if i had a nickel for everytime ray suggested/implied a threesome id have 5 FUCKING NICKELS. but really, the first time it happened in ep 2 i was like oh? then when it happened again in episode 5 i was at first too into sandray to initially appreciate it but eventually started to come around to it only for sandray to be too in love for summer to handle. in ep 8, it was clear freddie/freddie/ray was never gonna happen but i was so happy they brought the bit back, i was like wow i forgot about the other two times this was a funny bit for them to make a callback to. when he suggests it a FOURTH time in ep 9, i mean give the man what he wants. which i thought would happen with boeing, but we have yet to see....

April had received Leo’s call earlier that day, something about needing to have an important meeting, and that she would explain better once April gets to the lair. She walked out of her apartment and made her way down the hall. She hated having to cancel her plans with Jones, especially since they were supposed to jam together after their study session. But Leona had made it sound like this meeting was important, so here she was in front of her best friend's apartment. Even though she had a key, she moved her hand to knock on the door. Her hand never made contact, as the door flung open revealing Casey Jones to be the one opening. April’s hand was still in the air as they stared at each other, before quickly putting it down. “Hey O’Neil, what you doing here?” Casey asked with a bit of rush and confusion in his voice. April returned the greeting with a small smile and cleared her voice “Hey umm, I just wanted to say I won't make it to our study session today” She said quickly dragging out the last syllable with an awkward smile. To April’s surprise Casey quickly jumped in with a face that looked more relieved than disappointed. “Dude, I was just going to your place to tell you the same thing” he said “My mom texted me saying she needs some help at the restaurant”. April’s eyebrows raised with a little worry, “Oh, is everything okay?”, she asked. Casey quickly picked up on her worry, and immediately calmed her down saying it was nothing serious.

The two of them walked over to the stairwell and walked out of the building together. As they stood at the entrance of their apartment building they looked awkwardly at each other. “So I'm going this way,” Casey said, pointing towards his family restaurant a block away. “Yeah and I’m going this way” She said, pointing in the complete opposite direction, “so… um see ya Jones”.

April quickly walked towards the lair, half worried about whatever tia Carmen needed help with. She didn’t dwell much on it as she soon reached ally with the sewer cover, it was the same she the turtles had used when she helped them take Master Splinter to the lair, after the whole ordeal with Shredhead. She looked around to check for other people passing by, before determining the cost was clear. She descended deep into the sewer tunnels, using her phone’s flashlight to light her way as she walked towards the lair. The turtle kept the sewers surprisingly clean all things considered.

As she entered she got a good view of the living room, Raph and Mikey were drawing while completely ignoring the movie playing on the tv. Mikey noticed her presence immediately and turned around to greet her with a big smile. Raph followed suit with a small wave, his face almost blank but April could read the friendliness in it. She waved and smiled back, as Donny came into the room. He said a quick “hey” before turning towards the hallway leading to the dojo and Master Splinter’s bedroom. She set down her backpack on the couch, and took a bit of a look around the lair. “Where’s Leo?” She asked. Mikey looked back up from his drawing, “in the kitchen”, he nodded his head towards the kitchen door. “Oooh scary,” April said, causing both turtles to chuckle a little.

She entered the kitchen and low and behold there stood the blue banded turtle, currently busy preparing something on the counter. “Hey Lee, what you making?” April asked as she walked over to lean against the counter. Leo’s face turned to make eye contact with her friend, her usual calm smile clear on her face. “Just some apple slices,” she said before turning her attention back to her hands, “it’s the only thing I’m allowed to prepare by myself after all”. April let out a laugh, she remembered the horror stories Mikey would tell her of times Leo had, quote, “destroyed his kitchen”. Still by the side of the turtle lies an already finished plate of apple slices chopped to resemble bunnies. April walked away from the counter and goes to sit at the table. “So what’s so important about this meeting?” she asked as rested her elbow on the table and placed her head on her hand. “There’s been some new developments involving the purple dragons, and…” Leona paused what she was doing to look back at April over her shoulder “we have a new human friend”. This surprised April, the turtles had always been careful not to be discovered. She meeting them was just the result of a series of coincidences that led her to witness some of their fights with the foot, and a strange urge to follow Leo as she ran to save her father. Leo turned back to finish the snack, “He’s coming over today”, she continued “I figured it would be better if you two know each other”.

Leo finished up, and she and April walked out of the kitchen back to the living room holding the plates Leo had prepared. Donny had joined Mikey and Raph who were done drawing, and were finally paying attention to the tv. Leo set a plate down on the kotatsu table, before giving Raph and Mikey a pat in the head. The younger turtle immediately grabbed themselves an apple slice. April placed the second plate closer to the couch, as she sat down. A few moments of silence passed before Raph’s phone got a notification, the youngest turtle picked up his phone before quickly standing up and bolting out the lair, “He’s here!” April watched with surprise as the red banded turtle disappeared into the sewer tunnel, she turned her head to look at Leo, “Raph thinks he’s cool”, she explained. The human blonde let out a little chuckle, as she stood up to receive the new guy. Soon enough two sets of footsteps approached the entrance, one much lighter than the other. Finally Raph appeared again holding three pizza boxes, “Casey brought pizza!”, he announced. April didn’t have a second to ponder on the name when a tan guy walked in behind Raph.

The one and only Casey Jones stood besides the youngest turtle, hockey bag strapped to his shoulder. The two human’s eyes met, both freezed, eyes wide open. Everything stood still for a second before both human’s arms shot upwards pointing at each other. “What the fuck are you doing here?!”Casey asked first. “What the fuck are YOU doing here?”April answered. The two humans continued to throw each other accusations at an increasing speed, leaving the four turtles to look between them like a tennis game. Ultimately it was Leo who interrupted them, “So you know each other?”, she asked. The humans looked over at the turtles, and April let out a sigh, “Guys, remember how I've told you about my friend Jones?” she asked in an exasperated tone, to which the turtles softly nodded their heads. “This is Jones”, she said pointing to the boy in question, who responded with a peace sign. The gears inside of Leo's head turned for a hot second before her nonexistent eyebrows raised in realization. April regularly mentioned her best friend Jones, who’d help her with calculus and she’d help with history, who played guitar, and lived in the same building as her. “Oh! Well how were we supposed to know?!” she exclaimed, making the humans let out a laugh.

The six of them sat around the living room, already digging into the pizzas Casey had brought, while he explained to April who he came to meet the turtles. Raph would occasionally add commentary to Casey’s story which surprised April since the little turtle was usually quiet. Casey continued as he got to the part where they arrived at the lair and Leo pointed one of her katanas at him. The turtle in question looked a little embarrassed, but April knew she was only protecting her brothers. After Casey was done, April gave him a quick rundown on how she befriended the turtles and how she’s been getting some defense lessons from Leo. “You should get some too”, she says in a teasing tone, as she knows Casey is prone to getting into fights. Casey let out a chuckle and turned his gaze back to his pizza slice. “I think he has it covered for the most part” Leona said calmly, “his style is a bit unrefined but he’s effective”. April turned to look at the human boy, who seemed to be avoiding her eyes as much as possible. “Yeah, you should have seen how he fought those dragon goons! he was holding his own against eight!” Raph added. April felt her eyebrow twitch, as she turned to look at the youngest turtle, “You saying Jones here was messing with the dragons?” she asked Raph in a sickly sweet voice. “Mm-hmm, he’s like a total vigilante”, from the corner of her eyes April could see Casey giving ‘stop’ signals to Raph. She took a deep breath, and returned her eyes towards the ‘vigilante’, “Jose Armando Casey Jones Gomez!” she said. Casey sheepishly turned his gaze at the blonde, his lips pulled tight into a line. “¿Cómo es que andas de vigilante?” she asked, switching to spanish as she usually did when talking with Casey. “Wey no voy a dejar que se metan al barrio” Casey defended himself. The two of them went back and forth, the turtles could only catch a few words, but they got the gits of their conversation.

Finally their discussion died down as Leo explained they would all be working together to fight the purple dragons, giving Donny a segway to the main point of the meeting. “The pieces Leo and Raph brought back with Casey’s help, seemed to all be for different weapons”, they said, pulling out some of said tech pieces, all with ‘Baxter Technologies’ written on them. “Tho it seems to be some of Stockman’s older work as it’s not branded under ‘Oroku Industries’”. Leona looked at the tech parts intently, so they were building weapons, that much was clear, but what did the Shredder and the foot get from working with the dragons? Donny pulled up his laptop and turned his screen towards the rest “this is some footage i got from the security cameras in front of what looks like the purple dragons base”, the screen showed a warehouse, cars going in and out, people either patrolling around or just hanging out drinking and smoking. “I say we go over there and teach them not to mess with us” Casey said, his dislike towards the dragons obvious. “Not so fast Case, we need all the information we can have” Leo said, “that means stealth, us turtles will go in and see what we can find”. Leo’s brothers nodded, April turned to look at Casey knowing he’d object. “What about us?”, the vigilante said “I can’t exactly let you guys do everything”. Leo’s eyes met with Casey, for the third time Casey felt himself be entrapped by her red eyes as the corners of her mouth turned upwards, “Well, we’ll need a distraction”. Casey’s face turned into a playful smirk, not looking away from Leo’s eyes, “I think I can manage that”. Leo’s smile grew bigger, before turning her gaze to Donny.

They decided to better plan their mission another day, as Donny wanted to find more information as to when it would be best for them to take action. And so the mood relaxed a bit as they went back to finish the pizza, Mikey and Raph telling Casey about how bad April was when she first started training, and April trying desperately to justify herself. Soon enough the two humans deemed it late enough so they said their goodbyes, asking to be notified of anything important and went back topside.

The two walked next to the other in comfortable silence, with an air of ease that came from a whole life of friendship. “So this is what you’ve been up to these past two years”, Casey said breaking the silence. “Yeah, i wanted to tell you but they asked me to keep it a secret”, April answered. Casey simply hummed in understanding as the two continued walking. Another stretch of silence was broken by Casey, “mi ama pensó que nos habíamos peleado”. April let out a laugh that was quickly joined by Casey. “it’s not like we stopped talking”, April said between laughs. “I don’t know dude, I guess she just found it weird you weren’t staying over as often”. The two continued laughing, as they reached their apartment building. “Speaking of which, wanna stay over at my place tonight?” April asked.

“Sure, why not?” said the vigilante.

Original characters for sure. To the point my "reader" fics still have names and personalities and a backstory. Inserts don't feel like people to me? I like reading them, but it's difficult to write unless I have a clear drafted personality and everything, it's easier to get myself in the zone w a character than just wing what I would do in the current situation in-fic

Spiders georg, and "IM GONNA BROWN, IM SHITTSING??" I like seeing spiders georg in the wild, it gives me a good giggle. And I still quote "I'm gonna brown" consistently, ask @bugsyscorner . It's so bad we made a server emoji for it with a meme Leo I drew

🐚 ⇢ do you like or dislike surprises?

Hate them. Well it depends really. If they're gifts I've asked for, or food, or something relating to my art and OCs(like a surprise drawing of them) I love it. I do not like surprises pertaining to guests/new people, a random trip to somewhere new(crowded spaces are extremely overstimulating), or a gift irl I didn't ask for they typically end up being something I don't like and have a horrible time with. So I like the more subtle ones I guess

In honor of 5 years of ROTTMNT, I present: Things I would love to see in Rise season 3+ *inserts Fairly Odd Parents 'If I had one' meme*

Part one of a list of ideas the previous shows have done that I’d love to see their version of if we get any more seasons 🤞🏽 (Part 2)

The Pulverizer. Dude was hilarious in 2012 and to take it even further, the idea of Rise Donnie also having to be the one to deal with the guy honestly seems so funny. Hopefully their version would have a happier ending tho...

TigerClaw. Do I even need to explain? He's my favorite 2012 villain and honestly the coolest one and clearly the Rise guys would think so too with all their tiger quips lol. And it would be nice to have a really serious villain that’s also not Shredder/Kraang level dangerous but still more of a challenge for the turtles. Since Draxum joined the light side Big Mama’s really the only one left

Usagi. Genuinely wondering how Rise would portray him—and with this Leo being so different than the 2003 and 2012 characters, if and how they might still become close friends. I’m now too much of a leosagi shipper fr, probably mainly because I just love their friendship in 2003, also I think bc he's always an adult in the 03 and 12 versions, plus they barley got to know each other in 12, so overall it’s just an idea that doesn’t really click with me. Not to mention l'm so damn asexual I think I just love to see such a good friendship satay that way. But considering how serious Usagi's character always is I'd like to see if they'd change that in Rise to match their style or keep him the same way. If he is more serious it’d be an interesting contrast to Rise Leo’s constant joking and silliness

A musical episode bc honestly come on they would've killed it. And they're all just too musical theatre to not indulge in it at least once. Especially the Broadway baby disaster twins

Dropping the "Rise of the" in the title since after the season 2 finale and movie they have officially… arisen. Since the whole point starting off was these turtles aren't as trained or shaped etc, now that they are it would be cool for them to officially become the TMNT again. Not to mention they finally said the name in the movie so it would really top it off

A cure for the ooze. Draxum presumably could make his own 'retromutagen' like in 2012 and it'd be interesting to see a plot where all these mutants around New York could actually get back to their normal lives if they wanted to. Especially since Draxum had his reformation arc he really should be undoing his mess lol.

How they found the lair. 2012's Lone Rat and Cubs was such an amazing episode and it was awesome seeing what it was like for them before finding a home. In 2003's first episode we also see them find their new permanent home, and having the same backstory for Rise Splinter and the boys could be so touching. Especially being on the run from Big Mama and Draxum. We caught that glimpse of him still in a Liu Jitsu costume as a rat and living in a box. I’d love to see between that point and whenever they moved in to their home. I also think it would be a good reminder of how much Splinter was really struggling both during childhood, while he was starring in those movie yet Sho was still trying to get him back into Hamato business, and then his time in captivity after

An explanation behind why Yoshi is called Splinter, we never got our explanation in Rise… or 2012 either now that I think about it. Even 2003's reason kind of felt like a stretch, even though it was a cute story behind Splinter's owner Yoshi losing his girlfriend. I can’t remember if Bayverse explained it and I haven’t seen the original show, but I think each version has had a different reason they give

Fungus Humongous. One of my favorite 2012 episodes that would be awesome translated to the Rise boys. We know Donnie's hallucinated fear could be beach balls and Mikey's would prob be the Gumbus or some kind of ghost. Raph's could be Mrs. Cuddles, although he did conquer that fear. I wonder what Leo's would be… I always found it interesting he didn't have any special fears like his bros. But there is something about Leo strikes me as the kind of guy who doesn't have those irrational fears or gets scared easily, so seeing an episode where they could give him an advantage could be cool. Although, since this would be after the movie he could see Kraang, or him losing his family, and his insecurities with leadership would definitely be a realistic factor. It'd probably work well as another Halloween episode

Bishop; I think in the movie the fact that female Kraang stayed back was going to introduce him. I think a lot of people know him more famously from 2012 show ofc, but my favorite use of him was definitely 2003. Dude was unhinged and a whole ass machine and seeing the Rise boys face off against him would be so cool. Not to mention he gave us the 2003 Rat King episode, another one of my favorites

Spirit Quest type episode. They have such cool mystic powers and ninpo abilities and seeing them meditate and experimenting with them would be so cool. Not to mention the costumesssss I mean how bad ass would they look in some of the 2012 get ups

Turtles in space and the Triceratons. I've recently seen by other Rise fans that the triceratons might be been hinted to from a shot in the movie with a triceratops skull in the Kraang’s ship and apparently were being worked on by the creators. 2003 and 2012 each did these plots in different ways so I wonder if Rise would approach it as a season long thing or maybe just a fun arc. Either way these guys were made to go to space and seeing them freak out over actually getting to be like Jupiter Jim would be awesome. And again, getting to see their space outfits!

cancer sun, cancer moon, capricorn rising. on the surface, i would say his big three doesn't fit him. but that's in the pop astrology sense – just looking at the surface of his behaviors and at these three placements. i would have expected much more air and much more fire. but his big three consists of earth and water! weird to me for sure. [insert no bitches meme here] no leo? ALL THAT SAID........ it does make sense when you look deeper.

❥ cancer sun: emotional. strong survival instinct. nurturing. sensitive. compassionate. seeks and offers security. loyal. protective. highly intuitive. associated with psychic abilities. charismatic. mommy issues.

our boy mic isn't what i'd call a textbook cancer. his analysis is going to be more of me dissecting the motivations behind his actions – he's much older than other characters, so he's likely "masking" his placements more than other analyses i've done. his motivations are almost always personal. they're often to protect his friends, which is very cancer. cancers take relationships really seriously, which is obviously the case with mic. because of the emotional and nurturing aspects of cancers, they can be very focused on the past. i think this manifests in the way he reacts when finding out about shirakumo. (i'm not going to say anything more than that bc spoilers.) ALSO i think his intuition comes into play with his choice of friends. though aizawa acted aloof and distant, mic knew he could crack him. and he did.

❥ cancer moon: loyal. nurturing. family is super important to him. goes out of his way to make others feel loved. naturally supports and protects others. very emotional. i've noticed this placement can have mood swings really easily based on the moon's current transits.

mic's personal motivations are super important to him. when shirakumo is killed in battle, he and aizawa are frozen in place to mourn him for hours. though his passing truly affected mic (and he still carries it with him), he was able to navigate his initial grief (showing a mastery and understanding of emotion) and more or less move forward. his friendship with aizawa is really indicative of how he goes out of his way to make others feel loved. he really had to go out of his way to be friends with someone so guarded. although he's loyal to his friends, mic is able to team up with pretty much anyone. in the manga, there was a point in his high school career when he had to team up in a two-vs.-two battle with someone he really didn't like against aizawa and shirakumo. while mic's team didn't win, he did a surprisingly good job of cooperating. this often shows a lot of empathy and emotional intelligence.

❥ capricorn rising: biiiiig bizzy-business energy. work-oriented. no-nonsense. stoic. poised. quick-witted. bright. emphasis on family. mastery of the material. organized.

it might seem like mic isn't high-achieving and work-oriented, but i think that's just something he's cultivated over the years. he's honestly much more hardworking than he seems on the surface. he has three jobs!!!!! he's also able to compartmentalize his strong emotions to do what needs to be done when it comes to work. this placement is super persistent. he wore a seemingly aloof aizawa down until he became a lifelong friend. i think this placement is HUGELY colored by his leo mercury.

mic is the poster child for the surface manifestations of a leo mercury. his entire persona was created around his special brand of communication – insanely loud and bold. this is the way his actions manifest – BIG and BOLD.

this is another good representation of how mic expresses himself. he takes the smaller details and more mundane things and turns them into something bigger and more expansive (jupiterian). this is a perfect example of why he always volunteers to commentate – he's taking something mundane and turning it into an opportunity / something more interesting.

as i said in the beginning, it's interesting to analyze someone so much older than the characters i've been analyzing. the older you get, the more your learned behaviors affect you and color the way things manifest. so it's important to take that into account too! that's why i really tried to focus on his internal motivations – which actually checks out as far as the amount of cancer placements he has. his internal world is intense. i didn't analyze his cancer stellium specifically because it seems like he's learned to mask his emotions pretty well with grandiose behavior (given to him by his leo placements). i do think this chart fits him, but i'll admit that this was a tough one! i also want to note that every time i reference "family" here, i'm referring to his found family. mic really sees his friends as family. again..... very cancer.
