Still hate it. Sunken cost fallacy enacted: It lives. #Okay quick commentary (I'm very late to post today) #While this is supposed to be a 'snapshot' of routine - Wei Wuxian slept in. Normally he is up earlier. #Meaning he delayed the dueling part of the day. Hence LWJ's hand gesture. #I also imagine that LWJ and JC have a bit more of a friendship in this AU since they spend a few hours in the morning sans WWX #I always enjoyed how JC and LWJ on paper seem like they would get along but Do Not in canon. Let me have a world where they do.

As Deli pushes past Amangeaux and Karna in the cavern tunnel, his hand brushes against green armor. Shocked, Deli turns to see Colin, who gives a quiet, "Hello."

"Colin?!" Deli says.

"Deli," Colin answers.

Behind them, a grayed vision of their argument two years prior plays out and ends with them separating. In the present, they face each other.

Page two:

Deli says, "You're… um-"

Colin cuts him off, "You can keep going," and looks pointedly away.

Deli looks to the fight, saying, "Yeah. I, uh…" He shares one last look with Colin before running off. "I should," he says.

Colin does not look back.

#poorly drawn mdzs #mdzs #jiang cheng #wei wuxian #yu ziyuan #Please allow me to make it clear how important I think the hug between YZY and JC is in regards to several aspects of their characters #For one - it is the resolution and reveal that behind all the harsh words and bitterness...She really did love her son. #A hug is a soft gesture that you would never expect from someone like YZY and the fact she shows JC this affection now - #-Tells us how she knows that this upcoming battle is a death sentence for her. #Her giving away Zidan is honestly overkill but another sign of her truly showing him how she loves him and wants him to survive. #The dread of knowing she's walking back to a fight without zidian and trying to keep up brave face one last time...chilling. #Zidian represents legacy and promises. And this is going to both save and destroy Jiang Cheng as he carries this weight alone. #Heartbreaking stuff! Didn't draw it in the comic because I wanted to draw a silly worm on a string! #WWX tried to help JC out of the knot but got stuck in it. #Those worm on a string tricks are harder than they look! #Also; it's been about a year since the last boat joke - but indeed this is the 11th boat of pd-mdzs. No need to do the math.

Love how the Titans are literally walking out of the boom tube, coming back from an emotionally devastating mission, and before the portal is even fully closed Wally's like "Alright, full disclosure I did fully search the bad guy's liar and steal their shit"

One of their closest childhood friends, whom they all love and trust, is working for the bad guys and told them all that he thinks humanity sucks, and everyone is devastated and Wally's just like "....... I took their rock... I don't know what it is but it looked important...?"

I just... Good god I love this man. Garth has a dramatic villain reveal and Wally just presses pause and walks away to go check out the storage closets to see what he can steal. He's a menace. I love him so much.
