There were days when Devika felt like everything she’d ever learned about cars and motor vehicles in general was against her will … despite the necessity of such knowledge when it came to her new job, her new career. It was just that she’d managed to plateau, somehow, when it came to driving — she was still scared every time she sat behind the wheel, too uncertain to gain any sort of ease. She came away from each session worn out and wondering why she was still bothering, and today was no exception. Which was why she was walking back into town, that, and the fact that it certainly didn’t hurt to keep moving. Lost in her thoughts, she didn’t see the car until she was upon it, and even then, she approached with caution — either someone needed help, was lost, or … she was about to get murdered. When she reached the drivers’ side window, though, Devika had to assume it was the first one, and she lightly tapped the window. “Are you okay?” | @michellexyoon

jihoon actually isn't entirely sure when was the last time he saw michelle, probably the only cousin he knew of and cared enough to keep around in his life. maybe it was at the base awards but he isn't 100% at this point in time. he has been stuck one of the studios in gold star and was working probably too much on music that was going to come and bite him in the ass later on. he physically shakes his head, gets the thought out because he isn't out to mop to michelle how he may have gotten his heart indirectly broken up. afterall, with this specific situation, really makes jihoon realize feelings shouldn't be that deep. it was stupid to make it such a big deal, but it has become his personality. schedules, studio, gym, sleep and repeat. same old boring schedule.

"i was gonna say, i can't wait to fuck off to a warm island with palm tree's and then realized my schedule is booked until about spetember." he pauses, reaching for his iced drink and taking a long sip from it "i think we even have a comeback then, i need to check." jihoon finishes with a sigh, eyes closing as he places the cup back on the table.

they're currently inside gold star's cafe, jihoon having personally dragged michelle inside because he had work to get to after their little meeting ended and he didn't have the energy to go anywhere else. plus, it was quiet and chill inside the cafe, plenty of drinks and food to choose from, so he knew that wouldn't be an issue. he feels tired and he knows he looks it as well, but he does his his best to keep the usual neutral expression he has always had. "if you could go on a holiday anywhere, where would you pick?" he switches the topic.

it was weird, jihoon was never the physically tired type of person, he's been active all his life and the lack of sleep had been an issues for way too many years. he can only point at his emotions for the reason to be tired, he was upset and sad, what more did he need to physically not want to be anywhere but his own flat or the studio? unfortunately, he was an idol and had to be at another 30 places.

lev had a general understanding for the powers of the other demigods in camp, had a very basic knowledge of what they could do & why - mostly to gauge the level of compatibility he had with them for possible grouping in fights. but there were some he couldn't quite wrap his head around yet - like michele who .. controlled luck? he'd seen it, but he didn't understand it. yeah yeah - he could manipulate water, so why was luck any different. right? right. still, he struggled & couldn't help it.

he'd not really spoken much with michele, other than during battle, but .... he supposed he should fix that, given that he himself knew best that teamwork relied on a general ... understanding between mates & how else were they supposed to play around their strengths, right? michele & him missed most of the fighting at haywood, lev was all but happy about missing his shot, but tried not to dwell on it too hard & what better way to distract him than to reach out.

he had some questions.

clearing his throat to find attention, he greeted the other with a little nod. "hey." soft rumble. "you doin' okay after ... y'know?" what happened at the farm. michele saw it, too ... right?

Xavier’s looked like something out of a gothic horror movie. Black clouds roiled above, fog wove around the foundation. Illyana half-expected the low rumble of thunder to rattle the windows. It had never been her favorite place, certainly not since Krakoa had been established, but there had always been something welcoming about the school. Something about friends, and the room she shared, and trying to learn how to be someone who wasn’t only meant for destruction. Then again, perhaps the clouds and the fog were more appropriate.

She cast a sideways glance at her partner-in-vampire-slaying for the day, half-tempted to teleport in without her. If MJ came out of Xavier’s a vampire, she wasn’t going to be the one to tell Doom. Or any of the spiders. Instead of dwelling, she tossed the duffel bag she had slung over her shoulder onto the ground, nudging at it with the toe of her boot.

“We’ve got stakes, water that someone somewhere has deemed holy, garlic, and various iconography. I did some research, and apparently it’s more about belief than the actual denomination. So I’m believing that if I just hack the interloper with my sword, then he will die permanently.” She nudged at the bag again for good measure, shrugging and finally turning her attention to MJ. “Ground rules, don’t get eaten. Anything else?”

Greyson had a habit of being awake late into the night. The son of Pan also had a habit of getting hungry at the late hour so it wasn't uncommon to catch him making a midnight snack in the cafeteria either. After a long day of hunting and training, the demigod had found himself feeling the growls of hunger and so was looking for anything he could snack on, offering pieces of his spoils to Fen who constantly bleated for more while he poked around the cafeteria in his boxers and an old t-shirt. Catching the sound of another, Grey paused, spoon in a jar of peanut butter - not used to seeing any of the others at the hour. "Sorry, I promise I don't just leave this place a mess after I'm done." He smiled sheepishly.

Carbone 4 il aura mis le temps, mais le quota de CO2 a dépassé 100 euros sur le marché européen. 100 euros la tonne de CO2 c'est équivalent à 50 euros par baril de pétrole : on ne parle plus d'un montant totalement anecdotique. Mais ce prix n'est pas celui auquel les sites concernés par le "Système d’échange de quotas d’émission de l’UE" payent l'intégralité de leurs émissions. Cela ne concerne que la partie des quotas (qui sont des autorisations administratives d'émettre) qui n'est pas utilisée par le site qui les as achetés à l'Etat (ou reçus à titre gratuit) en début de période, et qui peuvent donc être vendus sur un marché à des sites qui eux sont en déficit. Rappelons comment fonctionne le système : un quota va avec le droit d'émettre une tonne de CO2. Par période de plusieurs années (la période actuelle va de 2021 à 2030), la Commission fixe de manière unitaire pour environ 10.000 sites industriels très émissifs (centrales électriques fossiles, cimenteries, aciéries, usines chimiques, réseaux de chaleur ou décharges) des émissions individuelles cumulées maximales à ne pas dépasser sur l'ensemble de la période. Puis elle fait le total par pays, et confie au pays concerné le soin de vendre le total de quotas du pays aux sites du pays via un mécanisme d'enchères. Les sites achètent donc leurs quotas, mais significativement moins cher que 100 euros la tonne de CO2 équivalent. En outre certains sites appartenant à certaines secteurs considérés comme exposés à la concurrence internationale reçoivent une partie de leurs quotas de manière gratuite. Le prix qui vient d'être observé sur la "bourse du CO2" ne concerne donc que les quotas qu'un site excédentaire va vendre à un site déficitaire. C'est une bonne chose qu'il soit un peu élevé cela incite les industriels à se décarboner, et globalement il y a de la marge, comme l'a montré le chapitre "industrie lourde" du plan de transformation de l'économie française (https://bit.ly/3knACrg ) mais ce prix a une faiblesse personne ne sait ce qu'il deviendra à l'avenir, car un prix de marché n'est jamais prévisible. De ce fait, les industriels ne peuvent pas savoir à l'avance si les investissements qu'ils font pour décarboner seront rentables ou pas. Il y a quasiment 10 ans, The Shift Project avait proposé que soit amené une amélioration du système : que les enchères organisées par les pays pour leurs sites nationaux comporte un prix de réserve (un prix en dessous duquel on ne peut pas acheter) et que ce prix soit croissant dans le temps (et annoncé comme tel). Cela aurait permis de donner une trajectoire de prix minimal pour l'ensemble du CO2 émis par un site et sur une durée longue (10 ans), et cela aurait permis en conséquence aux industriels de faire leurs calculs de retour sur investissement et de déclencher ceux qui sont rentables. Cette proposition n'a pas été retenue. Il reste alors à prier pour que le prix reste élevé sur le marché, mais le résultat est peut-être moins garanti ! 23 février 2023
