love being insane about weather report and i need to spew my thoughts about him and pucci and their stories aligning greatly with those told about cain and abel. as well as emporio being awfully similar to seth- cain and abel's lesser known younger brother. a LOT of biblical talk which i know most people aren't fond of, so it's going under a read more.

the story of cain and abel is so widely known, but i don't think most people know everything - such as the upbringing, the buildup, and the inevitable downfall of the two. the story of cain and abel have been done over and over, each told a varying degree of success, so i think it's interesting to see araki's version of it. (if he even intended the similarities to be there, which could be possible. but i don't doubt it since he is quite well versed in christianity / the imagery.) honestly, when you think about it at first ... the similarities don't seem to be there besides the obvious "pucci killed his brother and betrayed him" since weather got in the way of him achieving heaven. but the longer you look, the more you can see the similarities. so please bear with me as we try to unscramble these thoughts together and best explain the betrayal story of cain and abel, and how seth comes in to save humanity. the most striking for me is the usage and importance of weather report's disk. when cain strikes abel, he is coated in the blood of his brother and because of this- the blood of abel that's staining his clothing, cain would never be able to reach heaven and inevitably leads to his downfall. the blood of abel preventing cain's entry in heaven reminds me a lot of the final showdown between pucci and emporio- the final stretch before gaining eternal greatness, where he is stopped by emoprio's utilization of weather report's disk, effectively preventing him from achieving heaven. while not quite the same, weather report's disk act's as the perfect replacement for abel's blood- a final haunting reminder of the killing of his brethren, now stopping pucci within his tracks and being used against him despite being so close to heaven even after his endless offerings. this is also where emporio's role of seth comes into play- and, in relation to cain and abel, seth services as a replacement for abel after his death- essentially becoming abel's new mouthpiece and ushers in our current humanity. which emporio does after weather's death, acting as his mouthpiece and successfully helping joylne create a new humanity- all while the disk comes back to haunt pucci and prevent him from achieving his goal. it's beautifully poetic, in a way. while obviously not shared by blood, the bond between emporio and weather cannot be underestimated. they had a great deal of trust in each other and it's clear weather even seemingly regarded emporio as a little brother to him, going to immense lengths to keep him safe. there's a lot more in relation to weather report and other biblical allegories- such as heavy weather being triggered subconsciously by weather's hatred for humanity, turning anyone affected by the rainbows into snails. the important bit is the snails, and how snails are thought of as "the symbol of the wicked passing away" within the bible- obviously signifying how weather truly feels about humanity and how vile and "slimey" it has become when regaining his memory. he can feel at ease knowing there will be no more wickedness plaguing humanity anymore. don't know how to properly conclude these thoughts. just hoping my rambles are coherent and don't seem too far stretched, especially since i do believe, in some way, this may be araki's personal retelling of cain and abel to some extent. the man is obviously into christianity and it's aesthetic's, it's not like jesus christ isn't an actual character in the damn series unironically 😭 but i hope theres some cohesion when explaining these thoughts because whew there’s a lot of them.

Jealous AS FUCK. Like the petty jealous type. Lance is the kind of guy to pretend he has a partner back home just bc some alien girl he was flirting with said she had a partner already. He’s like “OH YEAH? Wow cool me too, same same, yeah….” But homie’s ego is a bit sore now…

Lies a lot. Lance just panics sometimes and tells a lie. He knows it’s wrong and he always feels guilty after lying to someone but it always just slips out. His mouth moves faster than his brain most the time.

THE BEST HUGGER/CUDDLER OMFGGGGGG. Lance is the best hugger and cuddle buddy ever, period, end of story, try to change my mind. His long arms always stretch fully around the recipient’s torso and he squeezes tight enough to make you feel warm but not smothered. Usually will rest his chin on the other person’s head if they’re short enough (so Pidge obvi).

Very aware of other’s moods/body language/tone of voice. Everyone thinks Lance is “the dumb one” but he’s actually very in tune with what’s going on in the moment, what’s going on around him. I think he can tell how others feel the second he sees them. Good intuition kinda thing. An empath for sure.

Things I noticed while watching High and Low the Worst X again

I was watching High and Low The Worst X while I was on lunch break and then had more realizations and wanted to write about them lol

These are probably nothing new and someone else probably already noticed these but I wanted to make a post about them sooooo

I’ve watched the movie so many times now idk why I just realized the weight of the three scenes I’m about to talk about. But also I feel like I notice something new every time I watch the movies so I'm gonna cut myself some slack.

Amagai being the only character in the movie who genuinely doesn’t have a sense of friendship/comradery with anyone else.

The first time we see the 3 schools alliance meeting is the opening of the movie, and I remember when I first watched the movie I was like "well damn this looks like a solid ass team" only to find out later that they were in fact not really a team lol 😂 but anywaysss

Watching the movie this time I just realized what Fujin says to Amagai in the first scene in the restaurant where the 3 schools are holding their meetings.

Reiji is first to jump up and say "Let's get this brawl started," and Ghandi jumps in telling Amamgai that their troupes and weapons are ready. Shoji laughs and says that weapons are typical Kamasaka behavior which prompts them to jump at him and Fujin, Raijin, and the other Ebara guys jump straight to his defense while Shoji continues sitting. Amagai tells them to "get us more" while tossing the money bundles in their direction.

Every single fuckin character in this scene's facial expressions have me dying because the disbelief on their faces😂

Shoji looking at Amagai like he's full of shit.

Fujin, Raijin, and Ghandi are looking at him like "wtf?"

The background characters are looking at him in disbelief also like I was WHEEZING when I realized this. Back to the characters who are the main focus of this specific camera frame though, Ghandi and Fujin.

Both characters turn to Amagai with the BIGGEST look of disbelief on their faces and Fujin says "You don't trust we can do it huh?"

To which Amagai says "What's the use in trusting you guys?" and goes on a spiel about how being powerful means you trust no one and not even giving them a slight chance. He also goes on to say that being powerful means bringing everyone else down to their knees and tells the other 3 schools "Just shut up and stick with me. I'll show you what it's like to be at the top." Ryo's face when he says this is a whole other conversation for another day.

I'M SORRY BUT THE LOOKS REIJI AND SHOJI GIVE HIM AFTER HIS LITTLE SPIEL HAD ME ROLLING🤣 Like both characters gave him the most judgmental expression and then you got Shoji over here looking away and rolling his eyes PUH-LEASE I AM DEAD🤣

Aside from all of this being extremely funny to me, this plays into my point from above. Yes, all these looks are super funny but it really shows how as "bad" as the other guys are they still run in the same way that Oya and the other S.W.O.R.D gangs do, through friendship and comradery.

Fujin asked "You don't trust we can do it huh?" because Ebara most likely runs on comradery as well. You don't pay someone to do shit for you, they just know to trust each other to get it done. This is a concept that Amagai does not and can not understand because he's been conditioned to believe that the people around him are not worthy of trust or friendship due to his status, they just work for him. As long as he throws money at their feet, they'll do what he wants.

That's like kind of sad actually, the fact that the other "antagonists" of the film still know friendship and he doesn't... I still hate his guts though. We love Ryoki but we don't love his character Amagai.

The way Shoji vs Tsukasa asks Suzaki why he’s working for Amagai

I think everyone can agree that within that 3 school alliance, Shoji Sameoka was the only character with working brain cells (full offense to all the other characters lol no one else in that room had critical thinking skills I swear). From the first meeting we see, the audience can already tell Shoji is the only character who has doubts about this alliance but also questions it; while everyone else has doubts but proceed to just follow Amagai's orders. This eventually leads to Shoji being the one to suggest that Ebara drop out of the alliance because he thinks it’s stupid which then leads to him agreeing to Todoroki’s terms of dropping out of the alliance if Todoroki wins against Fujin and Raijin. I feel like Shoji as a person judges the other characters based on what he knows/hears about them.

We see this when he confronts Suzaki. Shoji asks Suzaki why he would come to Senomon and work under Amagai when he was the one running Nami High. Suzaki tells him to mind his own business. Shoji is asking Suzaki from a place of strength. Based on the dialogue, it seems like Shoji knew Suzaki and Amagai’s reputations before this alliance. I deduce this down to Shoji knowing that Suzaki was the strongest at Nami High and knowing that Amagai isn’t actually physically strong compared to the other characters, he just likes to cause trouble and make others work for him. People fear Amagai not for his strength or skills as a fighter, but simply because he has the money and status to be at the “top”.

This brings me to believe that Shoji was asking why someone as strong as Suzaki would even work under Amagai who is clearly not a match for him strength wise. It seems like Shoji is asking Suzaki why he would be scared of Amagai’s money and work under him when Suzaki is clearly stronger. I think this is because the Ebara guys ranks are based on their strength/who is the strongest (I make this assumption from the fact that Fujin and Raijin are straight up gym bros lol) so Shoji can’t understand why Suzaki is working under someone clearly weaker than him.

Tsukasa’s question is the same….. but also different.

Tsukasa strikes me as someone who really gets to know someone personally to the best of his abilities before he makes his own judgment on them. We see this with Rao in the movie. Tsukasa could’ve taken everyone’s word for it and been like “oh Rao is a big mean monster” but he takes it upon himself to find out who Rao actually is through Mercy. This is how he finds out Rao isn’t actually all that bad like the stories suggests and that Rao fights for good reason (for his siblings). This trait about Tsukasa is why he asks Suzaki why he fights for Amagai but is also why he’s the only one who is able to understand why Suzaki fights for Amagai without a direct answer.

When Tsukasa asks Suzaki why he works for Amagai, he says “why do you work for a guy like him? Does he has some kind of dirt on you?” and Suzaki just keeps quiet. This brings me to believe that Suzaki probably had a reputation for being the strongest at Nani High but also fought people within reason, he didn’t flaunt his strength just because he felt like it.

Tsukasa asked him based off the kind of person he is and not his strength. I'm assuming Ryo fought people within reason and not so much for fun or to assert his dominance over others with his strength, so him working under someone who has as shitty of a personality as Amagai probably threw Tsukasa off a bit.

He is also however able to tell that there is a friendship there even if it isn't great. At the end when Yuken and Todoroki ask why Ryo would work for someone like Amagai, Tsukasa says it's because he means more to Ryo than that. Alluding to the fact that Ryo is doing stuff for Amagai because he sees him as a friend even if everyone else doesn't.

Okay, I'm done now😂 this wasn't as deep as my other analysis because it's not super deep with comparisons or anything like that it was just stuff I noticed while watching the movie again.

making both nancy and steve cockatoos is an intentional choice, it added to their “they’re a perfect couple!” factor in high school and steve took it as meaning nancy and him were soulmates or smth. nancy liked it because it was as perfect as she needed it to be. i think they really do still have that bond as having a lot of similar needs and enjoyment in children’s princess tents, and they are way closer when they admit there’s nothing romantic between them.

eddie is super playful and likes to mess around with the party and the other three alike, always being the one to spur them into a game of sky tag (man idk) or smth which always leaves the group breathless and laughing (yes nancy won)

eddie is a BIG FAN of the raven doombringer aesthetic, its super awesome to him and he’s very proud of it

eddie hoards shiny objects all. the. time. he gives random pieces of jewelry out when he feels like it (its to people he cares abt but he would never say that out loud) and im a firm believer in him wearing ornamental jewelry on his wings like silver skulls and chains and stuff. the others take to it because it actually is really cool.

eddie gives steve gold chains and random charms personally that steve manages with, while robin notices nancy’s interest and gets them matching charms, nancy’s in gold and robin’s in bronze. (i imagine they’re books referencing their first real conversation).  nancy is also a fan of artful thin gold chains and she gets robin bronze bands to bound the base of her wings in a neat way.

steve and eddie don’t get together until much later, always being weirdly distant but respectful of the other. it’s not until robin and nancy hanging out so often that their respective besties (steve and eddie) r like “hang out with us more” which brings them together to hang out more and they actually get along pretty well the more they talk

they then start to branch off on their own and i think they’re pretty slowburn. steve doesn’t really know what he wants and eddie is happy to wait until he finds out what he does. when steve initiates the kiss its slow and nice and experimental and robin and nancy flex on them for figuring out way sooner (in a very teasing manner ofc)

robin: nancy, and u know i love u babe, probably had the worst comphet i’ve ever seen and she still figured that out way faster than you

Okay so that said there’s a very important rule promoters follow and that’s book for the people buying tickets to come see the show. Yes PPV buys are also important but not at the cost of having an empty arena. The people who buy tickets and actually bring their family out to the shows aren’t thought of often because social media is loud. But having an empty Tokyo dome would be even louder like…. Njpw might legit just cancel all future g1’s could you fucking imagine? Like they need to sell tickets they need asses in seats and they have to book for the home crowd to actually get out of their house and walk or drive to the show. Hiiiii!! so here’s a lil backstory (sorry if it’s too much). but basically i’ve known about not loa communities for almost 3 years. i started off with law of attraction but soon later found out about the law of assumption and switched over bc the first one caused a lot of limiting beliefs and overall the law of assumption was just way easier for me. and i manifested HELLA things with the law of assumption but ofc i consider dem “small” things so me wanting to get into the void is every big to me bc i’ve made a whole list of things that i want to affirm for in the void. before i had took months off from manifesting like all tg (didn’t happen on purpose) i had tried to get into the void once before. bc then i was one of those ppl that would switch methods every other day after it didn’t work the first time (obviously bc i wasn’t persistent in the fact and being consistent) and would just try sum new. but when i did try to get into the void i did a meditation and just affirmed for the void the first time i felt symptoms and almost made it but got to scared and backed out and the second time i didn’t feel any symptoms at all and i don’t rmb why bc it was like almost a year ago but i had gave up. and after i took a long ass break like i said earlier and i really improved myself in a whole lot of ways not only have i seen my progress but my ppl around me have seen it to. and i started thinking i’m finna be a mfn senior bc i am dis my last week of school and i want my dream life before we go back. so lately i’ve been looking into the void again and i have my list and a whole plan of what i’m going to do to get into the void; listening to delta waves every night while going to sleep while affirming my affirmations, affirming throughout the day and just persisting fr in the fact that i always wake up in the void bc i feel like it would be easier for me. also ofc i’m eager to get my desires but i’m not in a rush bc i want to do everything right and not disappoint myself by possibly failing so i’m really waiting for school to be over so i won’t feel stressed (from work and school) and can actually have time to relax bc ik dats what i need to get into the void. but i really have faith and believe my plan would work out bc of some posts i’ve seen on here (i tried to link it but it wouldn’t let me) and i’m really excited for it bc idk why but i just believe if i do everything thing that i feel like is right and that would work it will and i’ll have my dream life soon.

i think the reason i fell so in love with it is because every single line is so vivid. not to say that most of his other poems aren't like this as well but like. idk something about this just spoke to me so much? i love love love metaphors about like irl things turning /into/ paper or ink or like... writing-related stuff. it's just such a beautiful image to me. also like there's a phrase in every line that strikes me "reams of silver", "brisk emporium" -- and something about the sentence "the world is full of paper" makes me like want to yell bc it's so??? this entire summer has just been kind of ass tbh??? like. during the single month of july, we had 4 people in my family/friend circle pass away -- 2 grandparents, 1 uncle, 1 friend of a friend (who was literally only 24yrs old!!! bruh!!!! WTF!!!). we thought August was going to be chiller, but nope. last day of Aug, last thursday, my boss's wife passed away after battling with cancer for 2+ years.

it hit hard for our entire team at work bc like. she was younger than my mom. and my boss is such an industry veteran, and he and his wife have been married for 17 years, they have a 13yr old son like... it just sucked all around. we all went to the funeral this past wednesday. it was a beautiful service, but obviously really freaking sad. half our entire office was there, everyone was crying. i was crying like. it was a mess.

and then right after, i think my body had had ENOUGH of this nonsense, and i got a really bad fever literally ONE HOUR after i got home from the funeral. and i've been sick since then.

it's just been... unreasonably rough... i'm really hoping that this is the last big bad thing that's gonna happen for the rest of the year. like. im so exhausted -- pls @ the universe LOL. take it easy on us okay.

so yeah. i try to keep the heavy stuff off this blog bc it's supposed to be a place where i come to be happy and write things that make me happy so i haven't talked about this much but u__u since you asked, i didn't wanna just be like "oh yeah everything is fine" when it's not LOL

Had such weird dreams last night…. So there’s this regular couple who comes into my work all the time on shrooms I love them but in the dream they would always come in with this annoying ass bird lol. they asked if I would watch or hold their like 6 million dollar paintings for them while they went on vacation for the weekend and they’d pay me a few hundred dollars??? and I was like sure ya but when they came by to drop them off they were like. Also you’re watching our bird. And I was like… uh.. okay? It was like a Mynah or crow or some clever corvid and so they leave and I’m chilling with friends and then the bird starts flying around the room and I’m like that’s probably not good lol and I’m trying to catch it and swearing at it and it’s just laughing at me and I’m like. Whatever, problem for later. So I’m chilling there w this girl and then it like dives into the bathtub which is full and I’m kinda panicking and screaming how stupid it is lol then it surfaces and changes into this like. Parrotfish looking thing?? Idek but I was just like ooooooh it’s one of THOSE goddAmn stupid thing. And it surfaces and looks at me and says “you’re not too bright yourself” and I’m like WHAT THE FUCK WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME YOU COULD TALK bc apparently birds changing into fish is nbd but talking fish is lmao. And it’s real lippy and is like you didn’t ask. And all I could say was fair point I guess and then we were all cool and chilling and the fish would sometimes change into a bird and fly around but I liked him now lol and we were all just shooting the shit and Then the birdfish was like wanna see something cool? And my friend grins at me and then the thing CHANGES INTO A BABY?? And I’m like yo WTF what else can u turn into?? And it’s like nuthin this is it lol wanna hold me? And I’m like fuck yeah! (VERY unrealistic I hate babies they scare me) and I’m like. Zooming it around like a toy airplane lol and my friend is telling me to be careful but I’m like no no I got this! Watch this! And I like balance it on my feet like an acrobat and it FUCKING FALLS HEADFIRST ONTO THE FLOOR and I’m like freaking out and I pick it up and half its skull is like. Mashed and dome shaped now 😭😭😭 and I try to cover the fucked up part with my hand so my friend can’t see and maybe like moosh it back into shape but it’s SO SQUISHY AND FAR TOO PLIABLE and I nearly vomit and give it back to the friend super fast who puts it in the tub and is like I TOLD U SO. And the baby just changes back into the fish and is like lol that was fucked up. And I’m like IM SO SORRY!! And it’s like nah I’m fine I was just messing with you but I was sitting there like 🫁👁👄👁 I have to go to bed lol.

So then it’s the day before I have to go give the paintings back and I’ve been keeping them in the basement and I go down there and there’s just a party happening?? In my basement?? And I’m like whatever sick lol I don’t know anyone here but I’m sure it’s fine so I start drinking like a fish and this old lady is like asking me about the paintings and the bird/fish/baby and I’m like… uh… idk if I should tell you all that and she’s like no no it’s okay! I’m friends with them! And I’m just like oh okay sure! And I chat a little but she’s giving me weird vibes so I go over to the corner where I stashed the paintings (they were just like stylistic gold faces with blue and purple and pink and orange clouds I’m gonna try and draw them later) and there’s this giant hulking man in traditional Russian dress who’s like. Leering at me and I’m trying to ignore him so I just reach past him to grab the box they’re in and he grabs my arm? And is like “what brings a pretty thing like you to a place like this” and I’m like. Uh the paintings… and he’s like “a little thief?? You know what we do to thieves around here??” And I’m panicking a little cause he’s still got my arm and I’m like bro I live here! And he’s like oh pardon, my name is Gustav (Gregor? Something beginning w a G) please, Drink with me! And I’m like uh okay cause I don’t really feel like I can say no so I skip off and grab a bottle of wine that for some reason I know is drugged?? Or maybe it was just absinthe idrk but he takes a huge swig and I’m like hehehe… yess… and then gives it to me and is like. Now you. Drink. All fucking scary like and I’m like uuuuuuuh okay so I DO? I ALSO swig the drugged wine and he’s leering at me again and I’m like well nothing for it. Gotta seduce him so I’m like asking him what a big strong man like him is doing here and rubbing all up on him and he’s eating it up meanwhile I’m also like pushing drink after drink into his hand and he’s tossing em back (to give a reference of this man’s size I’m giving him solo cups and they look like Dixie cups in his hand) and he like swings his arm around me and is telling me he’s getting sleepy and I’m like oh well perfect! You just rest right here and I’ll be right back to help you get comfortable ;) and he kinda slumps over and I squirm away and grab the paintings and fucking HIGHTAIL it out of the basement

But by now it’s 6 or 7am lmao and it’s time for the couple to pick up their paintings (also pretty sure there was a break in and armed robbers at some point but that part is fuzzy) and im still fucking wasted and trying to find my way thru the house and she’s waiting at the kitchen counter super impatiently and just tapping her foot and glaring at me, and I plop the box down on the counter and im like here they are safe and sound and she FLIPS she’s like “YOU WERE KEEPING THESE IN THE BASEMENT? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH THEYRE WORTH!?” And im like uh yeah? Don’t worry they’re safe and fine they’re in a box and cardboard sleeve and she just like stops dead and glares at me with the fire of a thousand suns and is like “you little rat…. You switched them out, didn’t you!!!” And I’m like. Still SO fucking drunk and I’m like lady what the hell are you talking about. Look at them. They’re the same. And I’m trying to argue with her about how could I have done that w a forgery in 2 fuck days but she doesn’t want to hear it and just grabs the box and storms out and I’m like chasing after her like BRO you gotta pay me do you know what I did to keep those safe!! And she’s like oooh I’m sure they’re safe in your little hidey hole somewhere and leaves and I’m just standing there like ????? And I hear a “yoo hoo!” And look over and the weird old lady from the party is there and holding the struggling bird baby fish while it’s changing rapidly between the 3 states and she grins evilly at me and disappears and I’m just. So tired and exhausted and drunk lol and then I wake up.
