i think some of you are too used to genre conventions, you guys forgot to question the worldbuilding that many authors painstakingly made to question the subject of death and life in a more nuanced manner than just "wow resurrection is so romantic!"

imagine having to work retail on black friday first of all. and then imagine your parents are mad at you for having the audacity to be tired and upset at the end of your shift. and then imagine that not a half hour before your shift ended you got to have not one but two world shattering realizations about your coworkers. and also your phone is dying and your whole body hurts
