Spoilers Criminal Minds S15 E4 Saturday ahead

I love the criminal minds episode Saturday. What a breath of fresh air for most of it (except the you know stalking case but even that feels almost like a breath of fresh air and a important topic change, bc stalking doesn’t always get taking seriously but this isn’t situation where multiple people are dead like normal cases, it’s Garcia relating and wanting to help one of the people taking her workshop, and it has a different vibe then Maeve’s case where it very much felt dark dramatic tones of plot and one of favorite characters love on being at risk, while this one has literal more light tones, the apartment was very bright to the usual scenes we see on top of the other stuff going on in this episode just brightens it as well)

I love Max, I love Max, I always forget how much I love Max, especially when she starts off feeling like Spencer’s being creepy when he’s like obviously leaning away from this kid (but of course it’s her nephew like protective instincts definitely reacted there). But seriously, I love her goofing off and bringing Spencer into this “I can have funny in silly goofy way” vibes. And as we all sometimes forget Spencer didn’t get a normal childhood where he really got to be a kid a ton so this definitely feels like it’s bringing a bit of his inner child out.

The crazy neighbor trying to sue Emily for a crazy reason. Like come on this is so funny and something you hear from a decent amount of people. Like neighbors are something sometimes…

And Tara “you owe me so many drinks for this” before handling him lmao

(I also love Tara, I also forget how much I love Tara. Bringing another person with a PhD and how there’s two “it’s Dr” people! And her “your mom” jokes. I love them. I love her being a smart and serious woman who can also play these like middle school kid jokes lmao)

And then we have Matt, with he new coming child, struggling with money and building furniture. And Rossi coming and helping him! Especially when Rossi never got to do that for his kids (at least as far as I remember I was jumping around and then got sucked into watching them mostly in order by Reids prison arc lmao)

And in a fun way not a serial killer catch me like Cat

(And the look on JJs face realizing he’s finally looking at someone who makes him so happy, something they didn’t really get to see with Maeve bc it was so secretive)

‼ bad days, frustration ‼

your week hasn’t been the greatest...however your roommate, penelope, has a plan to cheer you up!!

You set my bag down and sigh out of pain. This week, work had been especially painful. At this point you just wanted to shower and go to bed. so, you got myself ready for my shower and hopped in.

Though, you definitely didn’t expect your roommate, Penelope, right outside the bathroom with a small basket full of sweets, movies, and nail polish.

“Um..what?” You question, wrapping my towel tighter around your naked body.

“I could tell that you’ve been stressed lately so I wanted to help out” She explains.

A soft smile crosses your face as you head into my room, “I’ll be out in a minute.”

You close your door and get dressed before exiting your room. This time, Penelope was setting up the sweets on the coffee table in your guys' living room. You walk over to her and sit on the couch.

“You know, you don’t have to” You tell Penelope.

“I know, but I wanted to” She plops down and shows me the movies she has.

Going through the assorted selection of movies, You end up picking White Chicks. She excitedly put the movie into the dvd player before sitting back down.

“You’re the best” You lay your head on Penelope’s shoulder.

“Aww, thank you” She wraps her arm around my shoulder, before putting a chocolate-covered strawberry in front of your face.

You took a bite of the strawberry, humming at the delicious sensation it brought to my tongue’s palette.

About an hour later, we began watching clueless and Penelope asked if she could paint your nails, which you agreed. She decided to paint them a shimmery red color.

Penelope was the most amazing person that you’ve met. You were so glad you got to meet her.

a/n: happy finals szn! this fic has been rotting in my brain for weeks and i finally decided to flesh it out. and maybe you should like and reblog this if you enjoy it (no pressure tho)

You were still filtering through your entry paperwork when the rest of the team filtered into the bullpen. David Rossi, who had helped you land this job in the first place, nodded in your direction before disappearing into his office. “Hey!” Someone called from across the bullpen, “Y/N, right?” Emily asked, setting her go bag in the chair at her desk before making her way over to your desk.

Smiling in response, “It’s nice to finally meet you,” you responded, reaching your hand out for her to shake. It was nice to be in the BAU, complete with a promotion from Special Agent to Supervisory Special Agent.

JJ walked over next, waving, and introducing herself as the communications liaison. “I’ve heard a lot of great things from your old CARD team,” she said, “I’m sure your skillset will come in handy here.”

You nodded in affirmation, “That’s the hope!” You answered, smiling at the prospect of your old team singing your praises.

Next, Derek approached, reaching out his hand for you to shake. Of course, you obliged and grinned at him. Part of you felt like you were meeting celebrities, the BAU was a big deal in the bureau. “Derek Morgan,” he introduced himself, “How long were you with CARD?”

“Five years,” you responded, it was a long time for anyone to deal solely with child abduction, but your team had the best rate in the bureau. Besides, you found the work rewarding.

Morgan’s eyebrows raised in surprise, “that’s impressive.”

You nodded, “Thank you. I’m really looking forward to working with you all.”

JJ looked behind her, “Oh, have you met Garcia?” She asked, peeking around the corner to where the technical analyst's office was.

Glancing down at the cat-shaped stress toy that she had given you when you arrived this morning, you smiled, “Yes, she was the first to greet me this morning. I think I’m just missing Dr. Reid.”

As if on cue, the young doctor walked into the bullpen, he had a worn leather satchel over his shoulder and looked like he might be talking to himself, “Reid!” Emily called over, getting his attention, and causing him to change course, approaching your desk. “Come meet, Y/N.”

He adjusted the strap of his satchel over his sweater before you reached out your hand for him to shake. “Oh, he doesn’t…” JJ began, but her voice trailed off when Dr. Reid shook your hand.

“It’s very nice to meet you, Dr. Reid,” you said, smiling at him. It felt good to know you had finally met the entire team.

He gave a close-lipped smile in return, “Reid is fine, or Spencer.” He said as you each dropped your hands to your sides.

Noticing everyone looking back and forth between the two of you as if you had already managed to do something wrong, you gathered all of your paperwork in your hands, “I should get this to Hotch.”

The rest of the team got the message and started to disperse to their respective desks, Reid’s being adjacent to yours. “Welcome to the team, pretty girl,” Morgan said to you before turning to his own paperwork.

You hugged your paperwork to your chest as if you were protecting it. Quietly, you muttered, “I really hope that nickname doesn’t stick.”

Across from you, there was a short laugh, almost a scoff. “It will,” Spencer responded in the same reverent tone. For a second, you thought it might be a joke, but you could tell by his facial expression that he was serious.

≫ she 100% jumps on any opportunity to read you dork diaries and diary of a wimpy kid. she likes to read them to you in order and keeps a sparkly bookmark matching the cover in each book. she carries one of each series (each being the book you’re currently reading together) and sometimes you catch her practicing the voices for the characters. she likes to do the voices becuz it makes you smile and she loves that

≫ she has a whole TON of stuffies for you at her apartment (you two have already discussed which plushies are for you to play with, and which ones are hers that aren’t for playing)

Spoilers for

Criminal Minds S14 Finale and just like all of S15 story wise

“I needed to say something to catch his attention… and to catch your attention”

JJ… man was focused the whole time, never once was he not taking in your reaction and how the unsub was reacting to everything. Trust me man was paying atttention. Like he wasn’t just staring it down like in S14 E1 “300” no he was observing everyone and he was planning, not coming up with connections, lost in his own big brain.

(Also not them starting the season with JJ talking to Emily about how Reid asked her on a date and she misinterpreted as a hangout. Her and Emily both laughing bc wow that’s something and really started the trio of JJ, Garcia, and Reid…

And then proceeding to end with JJ confessing that she loves him…. Like what and this messes with their duo so much like whyyyy would you throw out that friendship!!!)

Also I’m not appreciating 1) Dave Rossi going pop off solo in this 2) the fact that Reid was aware to come in and talk to Rossi about their difference of opinions and come to same conclusion while Emily completely shuts Rossi down… especially when he was trying to communicate (when he very well was not doing earlier in the episode…)

Also only Reid double checking on JJ T-T

Also I feel like this awkwardness honestly takes away from this being a huge time where JJ was injured and on her own with the unsub instead of Reid. And they took a killer agent out of the field by leaving Reid over JJ. Also Reid being so respectful to Will and trying so hard to like you know not have this whole thing effect anything. And immediately apologizing and litteraly just speaking and poor baby Reid doesn’t know how to explain emotion and ahhhh him crying.

OMG SO I FURSY THOUGHT REID WHISPERED

“I’m still in love with you” but I turned on the subtitles (LIKE THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON WTF MAN) and he said “I don’t want to lose you” he doesn’t care that her telling him made him hurt, he cares that she won’t leave T-T

Also why tf is Reid being pulled 30 directions like 70% of the time hmmmmmm MGG you got some words for that, was that you to??? (THO I LOVE MY TRAUMATIZED BOI SO I AM ALSO GRATEFUL FOR THE ADVOCATING OF REID JUST SUFFERING AND THEM BEING LIKE YEAH AND ITS SO WELL DONE

also ft fans “Reid suffers so much, like give him so peace please!”

And then fanfic writers go “I’m sorry what? Oh you want him to hurt more! Yeah we can do that!!”
