The question comes as something of a surprise. He thought back to the time after they had scattered Mother's ashes, after the two of them had finally started to figure out how to be a FAMILY without her. His father had told him that he was a god, the first time he had really said much about his past.
Atreus knew that it was......painful for his dad to talk about his time in his homeland, but there had been one night, when they'd been staying warm around the fire, enjoying a moment of companionable silence, that his father had spoken first, telling him more about what had happened to bring him to this land. He wasn't naïve enough to believe his dad had told him everything about his past, but he had mentioned, at least briefly, that he had had a family before, that it was their deaths had started the killing spree that had led him to kill his own father.
"He didn't tell me much, but I know that his first wife's name was Lysandra....., and that I had a sister named Calliope." His father had sounded so sad when he talked about them, and Atreus had been able to FEEL his regret. The sadness and pain that had washed over him as his dad had talked...., it was different than how he felt when Kratos talked about Faye.
"I hope he'll tell me more someday." He didn't want to make his father sad, or force him to relive his past if he didn't want to....., but he wanted to know more about his dad, so he could TALK to him, the way they'd finally started to be able to.

Today is a one special occasion for the Wayne family? Which one, I can hear you asking? Well, it's (Y/N)'s birthday today! It's a reason to be happy, right? Well, it seems that today, everyone has forgotten about (Y/N)'s birthday.
Even (Y/N) himself has forgotten about it. So everyone went on about their day, doing the things that they wanted. (Y/N) had plans to play God of War and finish up the game.
He absolutely loved the said game and Kratos kind of remined him of Bruce. Atreus kind of represented all of them and (Y/N) loved Atreus with everything in him.
This game was a gift for his last birthday and it was from Bruce too. After promising to Bruce that he would get good grades in school, Bruce hinted that he might buy the game for his son.
And what does (Y/N) do?
He studies and tries very hard in school and thankfully Bruce doesn't expect him to get straight As. He just wanted (Y/N) to do his best in school. That's something that he wants for all of his children. He doesn't want to kill any of them with with studying.
All of them are intelligent in their on their way in Bruce's eyes and he would nurture that. Which parent wouldn't, if they have the means of course.
(Y/N) was playing the game in his room, just enjoying the game. He was sad that the game was over, but hey, he didn't mind it. Be happy that it happened, right?
(Y/N) watched in silence, just crying softly at the ending. Oh he was going to buy himself Ragnarok, even if it was the last thing he has ever done. He needs to see Atreus and Kratos in another adventure. He put his controller down, crying at the end.
It touched him in the feels. Bruce and him have a similar type of relationship. There was, at first, some emotional reservations, but as the time has passed, the two have grown more closer. (Y/N) had to lay on the bed and hug his pillow to calm himself down.
As (Y/N) was crying upstairs, everyone was downstairs, just lazing around. It was silent, except from the TV where Jason was watching a TV show. It was all fine and dandy until Tim sat up out of nowhere, looking at his phone like he has seen a ghost.
" Tim? " Bruce prompted and the others looked at Tim. " What's wrong? "
" We forgot (Y/N)'s birthday! " Tim said, becoming paler and paler with every second that has passed. Oh no, oh no... Shit!
" No, it's not- " Jason stopped, looking at his phone. Oh no.
They have actually and ever so royally fucked up. Oh God.
" Oh no! " Dick said and Damian put his face into his hands. Bruce felt like shit. Oh God...
" Oh no. " Bruce said, rubbing his forehead.
" What are we going to do? " Jason asked, pushing his hair back.
" We are going to go upstairs, apologize with everything in us and then buy so many presents that it will look like Christmas. " Bruce announced, standing up from the couch.
" You are going to be first Bruce. " Jason said and Bruce just went upstairs, shaking his head.
" This is the reason why he didn't come down, he is too sad to come down. Angry at us too. " Dick said as they walked up to the door. Bruce couldn't disagree with that.
The question as to what was going to happen when they enter? (Y/N) could either explode at them or he could be too heartbroken to even talk to them. There was no in between with (Y/N).
Bruce opened the door and everyone has seen (Y/N) on the bed, crying.
" Oh (Y/N), we are so sorry. " Bruce has started, walking up to the bed and hugging his son tightly. " We didn't mean to forget. " Bruce said and (Y/N) stopped crying.
" What did you forget? " (Y/N) asked through the hiccups. What did they mean about that?
" We forgot your birthday and we are so sorry. " Dick jumped in and (Y/N) frowned, confused beyond belief.
" It's my birthday today? " (Y/N) asked, looking at his family members. What was the date today?
" Hang on. " Jason now, jumped in. " Hold up. Did you forgot your birthday? " Jason asked and (Y/N) nodded. Jason frowned and now Damian had to jump in.
" Then what are you crying about? " Damian asked, tilting his head. (Y/N) confuses him so much sometimes.
" I finished the God of War... And it hit me so hard in the feels. " (Y/N) said, breaking down into sobs once more. He buried his head into Bruce's chest and Bruce just rocked him back and forth.
The brothers looked at each in shock. Oh my God. He is the most human one in the family. No, Alfred is in the mix too. Alfred is also the most human member of the family.
" Would buying God of War Ragnarök be okay? " Jason asked, knowing that (Y/N) loves the game and Ragnarök came out a while ago. (Y/N)'s head perked up at the sound of it.
" Oh you are buying it. I don't care the fact that it's my birthday, if you don't buy it, I won't talk to any of you. " (Y/N) said, not caring that he was sounding like a spoiled brat.
Is it wrong to just want Atreus and Kratos to go through adventures? To get closer? And he wanted more of Brok. If something is to happen to him, he will die.
" Sure thing, how about we do that now? " Bruce proposed, making everyone a little confused. " We can buy it and then we can stop by to find you some cheesecakes. " Bruce said and everyone has agreed with the idea.
" Now, everyone get ready, you (Y/N) wash your face and we are going to meet in 20 minutes downstairs. " Bruce said and everyone shuffled out.
" Now, are you sure that game has bothered you? " Bruce pressed once they were alone. (Y/N) nodded, hugging his dad back.
" Yes B. I was sad about the ending, not about the birthday. " (Y/N) said, wiping the tears away. " Okay, I'm happy to hear it. Now get ready. "

he gets tired of being constantly belittled, and alcohol makes his mind quiet for awhile. it's why he finds so much comfort in it
you find him in the bar, where you expected him to be when he wasn't at home. you can tell whenever his day has gone poorly
his eyes are droopy.. sad, even though in his drunken state he can barely remember what was said to him that hurt him so badly
you'll have him leave, returning to your home with his arm wrapped around your shoulders. he's much bigger than you, and it takes some time to get back, but you're determined
he deserves better. you know that. you kick open the door with your foot and lay him down on the couch, taking a seat next to him on the floor
"what's wrong, dear?" would be the first words to leave your lips
thor nearly cries at the sound of your voice. so comforting and warm. he shrugs his shoulders, but you can read him like an open book
you'll tell him he doesn't have to talk about it— the drinking or whatever led up to it— and he'll take your hand in his massive one, kissing your knuckles
he's grateful you understand he doesn't want to speak about it right away, but when he does he pours his heart out to you. he feels used. he doesn't know how to get out of it

kratos often dreams of the past. he dreams of his daughter, his previous life in greece.. and mostly, he dreams of faye
you'd never once felt unloved because of his previous marriages. you knew that he cared deeply for you, and the fact that he dreamt about his loved ones was always something you never minded
though, sometimes he has nightmares. they always consist of things that actually happened in his life, and he wakes up in a cold sweat, hoping that he didn't wake you. he almost always does, but you don't care
as your relationship progresses, you begin to comfort him through those nights where his nightmares are particularly bad
he pictures the death of calliope.. though.. most of his nightmares consist of a future without you in it
he dreams of you dying. sometimes, in gruesome, brutal ways. others, in your sleep or from an illness. no matter what, he'll wake up in tears. he'll turn to you, his eyes focused on your form to see you breathing
he'll let out a sigh of relief when he sees you inhale, but he doesn't go back to sleep out of fear of experiencing it again
you'd ask him what keeps him up and at first he refuses to tell you. as time goes on, he opens up and admits that they're nightmares of you dying
ever since he told you that, you'd be there to comfort him whenever he needed it. sometimes he wouldn't want you to, and tell you to go back to sleep, saying that seeing you alive was all he needed to relax
on other nights, you'd sit by his side, your hand in his. your thumb would rub against the back of his hand.. and he'd just listen to your breathing for a few moments to calm down
he doesn't even need to hear your voice. your presence alone is comfort enough
you'll reassure him that you don't intend to go anywhere anytime soon, and that you'll be around for much longer
he knows anything can happen, and that you could be ripped away from him at any moment.. but he remains silent, and just nods
he tells you he loves you, and you say it back. you'll kiss his forehead, laying back down on your shared bed
your arms would be extended out to him... your hands gesturing for him to lay with you. after a sigh, he'll give in to your wishes, and rest his head on your chest
the beating of your heart lulls him back to sleep.. and the nightmares don't return with you protecting him <3

why do people call kratos x sindri crack ship /not angry or something just curious/ WHEN FROM 4 PART I SAW A LOT??? BETWEEN THEM (not um love things or romantic but a lot of interesting interactions so shipping them for me doesn't feel crack or strange?) especially from sindri's side cuz we know kratos has problems with feeling stuff.
(idk i just. love every scene with them so much
and i was charmed by sindri from first seconds)
in my vision kratos could understand it when sindri is gone and he feels???????sick? sad? empty? not that like usually???? damn that feeling called MISSING SOMEONE and he would be so confused like that little dwarf annoyed me i I thought I didn't care and now I feel kind of unbearable and even ashamed
idk is it romantic of something but when someone somehow become like part of your body but you didnt realize it
and i'm also thinking in DEEP part of his soul it was a little funny to little bully sindri like not to wipe your feet before entering the house its not like showing love but KIND of it like. i dont know how to call it.

Yo! Did you get to the dlc yet? Is yes, how do you feel about it? If not yet, just ignore this ask for now
Yeah :D I've watched the dlc from Jacksepticeye's playthrough since late-November / December last year! All I could say is that the DLC's awesome and that there could be more things further explored or expanded, such as WHY IS DUKE EVIL HERE!?!?!? OOON9OOOOOOOOOO!!!

Story:
I always thought the DLC would be about Ada's experience in the village based on the concept art of her Eileen-esque outfit, but having Rose's story being the DLC is cool too, maybe a bit generic but still welcoming. Idk, the story feels pretty generic cause it's like "well shit I'm a freak and I just wish I could throw away my useful god-potential powers!" and then she takes it back and keeps her powers. To put that aside, it was interesting to see the life of Rose and what she went through,,,
- Rose enrolling a normal school was a surprise knowing that she's basically an SCP and should be homeschooled for further safety, but perhaps it was something Chris thought Ethan would want for Rose, which is a normal life. And for Chris, it's surprising that he even showed up in Rose's life, I've always thought he would send someone else to watch over Rose and be her father-figure. It's heart warming tho, knowing what Chris went through, he should at least have some normalcy in his life.
- Rose being bullied felt inevitable knowing that she would eventually have complications with her powers. But daaamnnnn,,, THE DLC DIDN'T HAD TO PUT THE PSYCHOLOGICAL BULLY MEMORY INTO THE BENEVIENTO LEVEL. HOW COULD THEY PUT TWO TRAUMATIC THINGS INTO ONE????? I'M NOT A MAMA READY FOR TRAUMA!!! Beside that, I was pretty compelled by that level due to Rose's bullying experience which had similarities to mines, I was also healing from a renunion with a bully too during the time I watched the playthrough. Because of my state back then and watching Rose's DLC, I felt like I'm healing alongside her and that I wasn't alone,,, BUT THAT DOESN'T GIVE CAPCOM THE EXCUSE TO ADD DEM CREEPYASS DOLLS WHWHHHHYYYYYY!!!!!?!?!!??
- Ethan returning as a Disney Pixie will never stop making me chuckle my lungs out, like, who cooked? Who's the fella that snorted Tinkerbell's stash and thought *insert Kronk's voice* "oh yeah, this'll be whimsical"? Okay okay jokes aside, Pixie Ethan interacting with Rose was honestly damn right heartwarming, especially the Happy Birthday room (I think it is? Can't remember well). But I do have a question, does Ethan feel Kratos-level disturbed if he sees Mother Miranda cloning his daughter and Duke toying with them?
- Eveline's comeback was surprising, I first thought that she's Rose's doppleganger in the trailer before it was shown that there are a whole pit of Rose-clones. It makes sense that Eveline would be pissy about Rose being her perfect form or vessel, especially her being Ethan's kid and wanted by Miranda. I guess it's just that, surprising.
- For the ending, touching and very fitting to the ending of RE 8. Seeing Rose and Ethan work together in escaping Miranda was delicious fan-service. "Finally, good fucking food" - Gordon Ramsey. But for the final battle against Mother Miranda, it was exciting at first, but it eventually felt pretty long which ruined the final interaction between Rose and Ethan for me. While the finally battle was a bit long due to Mother Miranda's phases, Rose and Ethan's goodbye felt more longer and generic. "I'm sorry dad *insert sob*". "I love you too daughter *insert extra sobs*". MOVE ON ALREADY!! I'M SORRY BUT I THINK THAT'S ENOUGH APOLOGIZING!! It was still sad yet heartwarming tho, I'll just say I was impatient.

Reflection:
I think the DLC has more potential and things to explore. Knowing that the mold is a hivemind, Rose could've jumped through the mold victims' recorded memories and we could've seen the origins of the 4 lords. And as an addition, Rose's trauma and life could've been reflected through the victims' own experiences, alongside the 4 lords' level area twisting into a psychological-trauma trip based on Rose's mental thoughts and feelings. These kind of ideas were something I've wondered about last year and before the trailer came out, I just thought it'd be interesting if the 4 lords' backstories could be explored through Rose who is some form of bridge between the mold hivemind and the real world. Beside my own ideas, maybe the DLC could answer why Duke is evil. Maybe Duke's pissed off that he got Oppenheimer'ed? Or Duke is a character similar to the black cat from Coraline but changed sides due to mysterious shite. And beside Duke, the megamycete could've been explored further, such as its origins and relation to the "stairway to heaven" flower (dunno if that's the name of the plant or I accidentally referenced a song). THERE'S SO MUCH. SO SO MUCH. but traumatized magical teenage girl comes first✨️✨️💖.
And to address my last year's reaction of the Rose DLC trailer, I was overreacting and couldn't comprehend how DASTARDLY SIMILAR THE PLOT IS TO WHATEVER RE 8 MONSTER!ETHAN AU I POSTED LAST YEAR. NO BLOODY WAY. JUST NO BLOODY WAY THAT HAPPENED. NOT IN AN ANCIENT LOVECRAFTIAN FULL MOON IT DOESN'T. I just fully expected that the dlc would be about Ada, only Ada and whatever cheeky schemes she has. But overreacting didn't meant I no longer like or wanna do RE stuff, I'd like to continue more artworks and stories in the future, more detailed and non-doodly works, but I'm currently really busy with personal stuff and might not do fan or original works until next year.

TALKS WITH FATHER
Father!Kratos x GN!Reader
Warnings: Angst with a bit of fluff, AU, SPOILERS FOR GOD OF WAR (2018)
Summary: You and Kratos talk while preparing Faye's pyre.
Notes: In this AU, you went with Kratos to get the tree for Faye's pyre instead of Atreus; You are about the same age as Atreus is in Ragnarok (about 14 or 15).

You spotted a Dragur wandering near the tree you and your father, Kratos, had been making your way to. Without any hesitation, you swung Naegling (the sword your mother gifted to you) at the Dragur, severing it's head clean off. "ᚱᛖᛏᚢᚱᚾ," you spoke, causing Naegling to return to your holster. "That was the last one."
"Good," your father responded. You nodded, before you spotted and grabbed the plants that were to be used in the pyre for your now dead mother, Faye. You stood back as Kratos cut down the tree, but also quickly spotted Kratos' wraps around his forearm start to loosen.
"Need help," you asked, before Kratos kneeled down and allowed you to tighten the wraps back up. "...Father?" "What?" "...What will we do if Atreus ever finds out about what's under these? Or...sees the blades?" Kratos' expression turned to one of slight worry over your words, before he responded, "If he does, I will handle it. It is pointless to worry about the future Y/N."
"...You're right. I just...can't help but worry. Guess it's just a sibling's curse, huh?" Kratos nodded after a few seconds, leaving you to recognise it as a moment where he remembered something he didn't want to. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to- I...I'll just get to the boat."
You shamefully finished tightening the wraps, and made your way to the boat docked nearby, still holding the plant you grabbed. Your father was soon behind, carrying the tree, before putting it down and wrapping it onto the back of the boat before getting in and rowing back to your home.
"Y/N. Do not feel shame for something you knew nothing about." You looked to him, and simply responded, "Yes, father," before looking back to the dock that the boat was nearing. When the boat docked, you were quick to get out, unwrap the tree, and pick it up. Kratos simply looked on and slightly smiled in pride, but quickly stopped the smile when you looked back to him.
Once you made your way back to the incomplete pyre, you gently placed the log down and stepped back as Kratos pulled out his axe. "That was the last." He then began to chop the log into pieces, as you stepped to the door of your house to hear your little brother, Atreus, muttering, "Lo, there do they call to me."
"...Father, I...I can't get these worries out my head. It's lucky enough that I took the truth as well as I did, but...Atreus? He's always been the curious type. And I can't help but think...the longer you wait to tell him, the more damage you may do to him."
Kratos stopped chopping for a few seconds, before resuming while stating, "Remember what I said, Y/N. The burden must be mine alone." "But...what if it doesn't have to be? I know. Mom knew. If there's a way for us to gently break the news to Atreus, then..." You stopped mid sentence, trying to keep your voice down as for Atreus to not hear you.
"...You're right, father." Kratos simply grunted, before finishing chopping the wood. Soon after, he began putting the pieces together. "I'll...go check outside the house for anything bad," you said before walking away, Naegling unsheathed.
Later...
You returned to your home to see Kratos standing next to the burning pyre, with your mother's wrapped body atop it as it burned. You slowly circled the pyre, sadness filling you, and you soon hung your hear and muttered, "...I love you, mom."
Soon after you said your goodbye, Atreus walked out the house, his bow on his back, and asked, "What are we hunting?" "You are hunting dear," said your father, before the next couple of seconds were filled with silence, which was broken by Atreus asking, "Which way?" "In the direction of deer," was all Kratos responded. Atreus soon responded, "OK...this way." Atreus dashed off out the gate, causing you and Kratos to follow.
None of you knowing what the future had in store for you.

Annon-Guy: If you saw my BBTAG Sequel Idea Roster, I have eighteen Symphonia characters.
Emil, Marta, Richter, Tenebrae, Aqua, Alice, Decus, Lloyd, Colette, Genis, Raine, Sheena, Zelos, Presea, Regal, Kratos, Mithos and the recent and final addition is Seles Wilder (thanks to Tales of the Rays making her a playable character).
This ask is how would the 17 Symphonia Cast here feel about having Seles as a Tag Partner (for the story reason for why Seles can fight without an Exsphere is the Phantom Field is energizing her).
Emil is just happy for competent help. Seles has been in the Coliseum so honestly, she will carry the team. Not that Marta isn't also a good fighter, but Emil's kind of glad to be protected and doesn't have to worry too much about Seles getting hurt. I mean, he still worries, but Marta is technically his canon GF, and that's a different level of worry.
Marta's inspired by how well Seles can fight. She wants to get extra strong like Seles so she can protect Emil even more.
Richter enjoys the company of someone who can pull their own weight. Seles is technically a human, but she had a half-elf mother, so Richter would have a small bit of extra compassion for her in that regard.
I'm not sure Tenebrae would have any immediate opinions since Emil and Ratatosk aren't really friends with Seles. More like friends by proxy since they more interact with Zelos. But I think they would get along.
Aqua would get along with her since Richter would have some borderline familial affection. But she would also probably be a little bit jealous since Richter would connect with Seles more than her.
Alice would be happy to team up with another competent girl for a change because most of the Vanguard seems to be guys, but she would also be really snippy with Seles because Seles gave up her Exsphere. As far as Alice is concerned, Exspheres are a good source of power for useful machines so getting rid of them is a waste.
Decus would probably bother Seles with all sorts of questions because he'd want advice on how to get more of Alice's attention. "You're a girl, so you'd have all sorts of ideas about what else lady Alice would like!"
Lloyd, Colette, Genis, and Raine would have a decent relationship with Seles since she's Zelos's sister, and (less annoying than Zelos.) Lloyd would probably be the most amicable because he's friendly with everyone but honestly they don't have that strong of a relationship because unless you go out of your way to find Seles, she's not a standard party member.
Sheena would like her. She's strong and a lot less annoying than Zelos is. She would probably ask about all the secrets Seles must know about Zelos from their childhood and then use that to blackmail Zelos when he gets too obnoxious.
Zelos has a complicated relationship with Seles. On the one hand, he loves her and wants her to be safe, so fighting together isn't ideal. On the other hand he'd be happy to see his sister can keep herself safe, even without her Exsphere. But it would also be awkward because he spent a lot of his life resenting her and feeling bad that he resented her because her birth is what made his family fall apart. Even though he would happily have resigned his position as the next chosen to her because he hated all that responsibility hanging over his head, it wasn't in his power to do that, and because of the jealousy Seles' mom had, it cost him his mother, who he cared about even though she hated him, and cost Seles her own mother too. So yeah. Complicated feelings. I think they would fight well as a team, but Seles would be sad because even after all this time things are difficult between her and Zelos and as far as I remember, all she really wants is to hang out with Zelos like they used to when they were kids.
Presea would like having another strong girl to team up with. I think they would bond a lot over how much of their childhood that they missed out on, Presea from being an experiment and Seles from being locked up because of her sickness and because she's a danger to Zelos (according to the powers that be, at least. I don't think they ever gave that as the official reason though.)
Regal I think would treat her with a certain softness kind of like he does with Presea. Big brother energy. But I'm not sure they have anything specific in common.
Kratos I think would feel neutral about her. They don't really interact in the game that I can think of, but since she's Lloyd's friend, he'd tolerate her.
Mithos would have some affection for her, I think. Technically she shares some of the genes (or the mana signature or whatever) that he and Martel have, so in a weird way they're very distant cousins. That was the entire point of the Chosen program, after all. But, then again, there could be bitterness since, you know, because Seles is the product of adultery outside the marriage set up specifically by the church to specifically drive the Chosen's mana signature to a specific goal, it's very possible that he sees Seles as a waste of the resources they set up to try to make a vessel for Martel. He very well might have animosity for the fact that she isn't perfect. Or he might want to use her to manipulate the bloodline further and see her only as a tool. Mithos is really iffy and it depends a lot on what point in the canon timeline we're grabbing him at or if he's aware he fails his goal canonically. I think if he's early enough in the timeline, he might have some affection for Seles. Or if he's magically post-game and is aware he lost to Lloyd, maybe he'd even embrace Seles, along with Zelos and Colette, as the closest things he has to family. Or maybe he just wouldn't care. Part of the reason he was the villain is that he lost sight of the affection he had for everyone else in his live over the narrow-minded, short-sighted, selfish pursuit of resurrecting his sister. Like, he and Yuan clearly stopped seeing eye to eye and instead of trying to repair that relationship, they just fought with each other. Honestly, Mithos is kind of mysterious.

out of curiosity, who would you romance in dragon age if you could?
It's not usually a matter of who I would romance if I could so much as who the game will LET me romance based on my character.
I don't dislike playing male PCs, but it's not my first choice, and usually fem PCs also have the better voice, with the exception of Hawke, but every companion in that game is bi so it... doesn't matter lol.
You can't romance Morrigan or Dorian on a fem PC, which like... I very much GET for Dorian, I respect that, it just makes me sad because he's the best character and I love his story the most. I have made a character for him, but it was very much clearly not intended for me, and that's an instance where I'm okay with that, I even think it’s a good thing, not everything is FOR me, and I can appreciate that.
An instance where a romancable character was very clearly not made for me and it kinda grosses me out is Morrigan's romance. I similarly tried to make a PC for her and uhhh, I hated that to the point where I bailed on that game forever. The way she praises his "performance" and goes on and on and ON about Warden "Stamina" was just clearly written with flattering the player in mind and not characterization and was just clearly a male fantasy gratification encounter and it just reminded me of those borderline satirical late 2000s games like Assassin's Creed 2 and whicever God of War game lets Kratos fuck Aphrodite or whoever with how eyeroll inducing it was. It was clearly not a dynamic written with people who thought Morrigan was an interesting character in mind and it infuriated me.
And of course then there's Varric, who I actually don't WANT to romance on a new PC in Inquisition or DA4, I want him to be with HAWKE specifically because they have such good chemistry on the friendship path, especially if you play the sarcastic personality Hawke. But, y'know... Bianca, I guess.
Now, I'm FINE with the choices I wound up with. Alistair is a great lil guy, Fenris is a great lil blorbo, and Solas is narratively interesting and significant grade A bastard, but like... I was SETTLING each time and I felt it lol.

Oh my god I am SOOOO down for demigod au!!!!! I have so many feelings!! In a similar vein, at one point I considered doing a God of War AU with Katsuki as Kratos and it still scratches a good itch in my little brain. Tbh it popped into my brain during a road trip so no real thoughts were had but something about him learning to be vulnerable enough to love and be loved but then having to put aside his humanity to fight and kill to protect his found family 🥲💕

i love seeing katsuki as a child of a war god!!! big and strong and so so skilled in battle with a wide range of weapons. it's also surprising though that he is as sensitive as he is passionate. it's like the passion in him is directly tied to his divine lineage, but also to that sensitivity. n people assume he's got less feelings than other's bc of his parentage, but he loves all the same.. if not more and CERTAINLY more fiercely. imaging the way he instills confidence in his comrades on a battlefield.. like that fighting spirit is contagious....
but i am also so biased when it comes to him tho bc i actually see him (like someone said in their rb of my post) as more roman than greek!!! and i often think of him as a child of hestia (which doesn't work bc she is a maiden goddess)... or like... juno (once again would not have demigods bc she's the goddess of marriage) but like just imagine it for a moment.. think on it...
imagine for a moment that juno DID have demigods (i know this is so inaccurate for her... i feel the wrongness too)... juno represented the state as well as being the goddess of marriage. she was also a war goddess and was often thought to lend strength to roman generals during war..... now katsuki as one of her few demigod children. he's blessed with brilliant skills in battle, but he also has the ability to drive his comrades further. to instill in them the spirit of a warrior and keep their motivation up. where children of somnus (or hypnos) can lull people to sleep or take away the will to fight, katsuki can do the opposite. but he's also (after he gets older) becomes quite a strong leader and people end up looking to him the same way they did Juno in Rome.... he gains this confidence about him that could belong only to the child of the goddess of the state... im SICK...
sorry i got so distracted in this... i have so many thoughts abt him... but GOD a katsuki KRATOS au is SOOO AUGH!!! sad tho :((( i want him to have good things ;(( (side note: i LOVED that game when i was younger broooo)

FAN CAST FOR GOD OF WAR
Hello, people. So. I'm playing God of War for the second time now and I just can't help but imagine a live action adaptation of the PS4 game. In my head there are some actors and actresses who could pull off our beloved characters.
Disclaimer; I know that this is probably a very common fan cast, in my defense I think this is a very very fitting cast. And I will explain why. Well, I have to admit I love to cast more unknown actors for certain characters, still, in that case I just went with what first came into my mind. I also know that there are people who voiced the characters and we're based off of them. No disrespect here, just another idea of casting.
Aaand another warning; my edits really aren't that great. I know that. There are a lot of people who can do better than me. I just needed these edits for imagination.
Here we go.
Kratos - Jason Momoa
Yeah, quite obvious. Let me explain. We know from many tv series and films that that man can fight. He is tall, huge, has got the muscles, the brutality and especially the LOOK. I can definitely see why some people would consider Vin Diesel, The Rock or even Chris Hemsworth here. Still, Jason Momoa is Kratos for me. His performance in Game of Thrones explains pretty much why. Stubborn, quiet, dominant. That would work really well with the start of his and Atreus' relationship. Plus, his facial features are just the same?!? While editing some pictures, I was fucking impressed how well Kratos face fit onto Jason Momoas. And considering his performance in Aquaman, I'm sure he'd do Kratos softer side very well, too. (Fun Fact: I even thought of Richard Armitgae here!)
Atreus - Jaeden Martell
So, I'm a little unsure about Jaeden Martell for one reason; he's too old and tall already. I feel like Atreus should be small, especially in comparison to his father. Also he should be young, have that innocent look on his face and be willing to learn. He needs to radiate kindness. I still went with him because Jaeden Martell's face is really smooth and soft. He's got a teary look and refined features, which I really want to see on that boy that was thrown into the biggest mess of his life. Based on his IT performance, we know he can pull off the more reserved and shy boy, but also the one that isn't scared and willing to fight if needed. Plus, in Defending Jacob, there's an interesting relationship with his father. One, that I can absolutely see grow strong with Kratos. Taking God of War: Ragnarok into account, Jaeden Martell might be a good age for Atreus. By the way, I'm highly thinking of Noah Schnapp instead.
Freya - Emily Blunt
Well, Freya. It's kinda funny to me how she went from a motherly figure for Atreus to like THE villain in the end. With everything we know so far, she's gonna have a huge storyline in Ragnarok. And she's going to be crazy strong. So, that actress needs presence. Emily Blunt's got this handled. She's got great range and I think the character needs to be deep. There's a lot to Freya that needs to be explored. So, we're searching for an actress that can express sadness and trauma from the past days, balance as a facade and of course anger and power for her loss and mistakes. Some fighting skills are required for her as well, but she'll manage.
Baldur - Tom Hardy
This is probably the least expected cast. I totally see why people think of Joe Gilgun, Sheia LaBeouf or Sean Gunn here. My problem with Sheia LaBeouf is that he feels to broad. I don't know, he doesn't really give me evil vibes. Joe Gilgun is really really perfect and I almost put him on the list instead. Still, I was searching for something special. And that special I found in Tom Hardy and his performance in Peaky Blinders. Tom Hardy as Alfie Solomons is beyond everything, the voice, the gestures, his way of thinking and his decisions. He's quite unpredictable, suspicious and still got such a presence and confidence. I feel like he needs to express superiority towards Kratos, which Kratos answers with non reactiveness only. He needs to be the exact opposite of down to earth and portray that in a way that's not toooo serious. And Tom Hardy is just perfect for this. I think his performance in Venom combined with the Peaky Blinders one is' exactly what's needed for Baldur.
Now imagine the dynamic these four would hold.

More Symphonia thoughts...
Still loving the goofy, trope-y, classic JRPG story and character elements. Seriously! I've been dealing with a lately so it's nice to watch this little goofball found family run around in a way that doesn't take too much of my mental processing power. Some parts of the story have genuinely shocked me or made me sit back and say "what the ever loving fuck" But other parts have been comfortingly predictable!
I'm honestly kind of dreading more people joining the party??? I love our current little found family of borderline unhinged teacher mom, emo sword man dad, idiot child #1 who sounds like Robin Teen Titans, idiot child #2 who is a clumsy angel for some reason, and their baby cousin who holds 75% of the groups collective braincells. Not yet prepared for the party dynamic to be shaken up but I guess Sheena seems fun, she seems like she's up next to join.
I think they are foreshadowing Kratos being an angel (or some other type of non-human). Colette has stopped eating and sleeping and there was a skit remarking on how Kratos didn't drink water and he also was the one to volunteer for night watch. If he is then I love that for him and I want to see his wings. I also want to give him a hug, he seems sad.
I hate the other Desian dude with the dreads too. Ngl, I just hate all of the Desians in general and I am really hoping they don't try to redeem them. I love men who commit atrocities and are evil but the Desians are way too close to real world N*z*s for my comfort🤢 It's also interesting that half elfs specifically are superior? Are half elfs their own seperate species or is it a child born from a human and an regular elf? I'm assuming it's the latter and I'm curious as to why? Do they find their own parents inferior to them? Do they have special qualities that make them think they're above others?
Also Genis (and by extention Raine ig) seems to be a half elf? Or at least some dude called him one and he freaked out and the guy was like "Jk you're def a regular elf". Genis...?🤨
Also the whole deal with Dorr's wife and child was disturbing. I teared up a bit when Lloyd told him his daughter was still alright so that he didn't have to die knowing she was killed. And then again when Colette said in a skit that he probably knew Lloyd was lying... Also uhhh... where did his wife go? She's just out there roaming the streets like that now??
Anyway, the game continues to be a fun mix of comfy, predictable goofiness story beats with the occasional wtf moment to slap me in the face, it's becoming a favorite 😄

Atreus teaching his half sister how to shoot a bow and arrow. She isn't so sure she can at first because...well because she just has no muscles at all, not like her big brother (and Atreus is still getting used to being called that), and CERTAINLY not like their dad. Atreus just laughs a little and says that archery doesn't take too much muscle, "Just a firm grip." And Faye, who is standing a bit away, tries not to cry because her son used the very same words she told him (1/?)
And she has a harder time not crying when she keeps watching a little longer because Atreus is showing so much patience and levelheadedness when he teaches, carefully showing Calliope where to put her hands in the same way has was shown, her tiny hand eclipsed by his barely grown one. Deimos surprises her gently by coming up behind her and praising her on how well she taught the boy. She laughs, quietly wiping at her tears, and asks why he didn’t think Kratos taught him? (2/?)
Deimos laughs, the Kratos he remembers didn’t have the patience to teach a cat how to catch a mouse. “The Kratos you knew was but a boy, a child.” Deimos stills, and then sighs, “Yes, and he has grown since then.” He smiles at her, “In no small part because of you. I don’t think I thanked you for that yet.” Faye shakes her head, “I did nothing that needs thanking.” She looks away, “He simply needed someone how didn’t…wish to use him.” She frowns, “And I barely managed even that.” (3/?)
Deimos doesn’t say something for a moment, before shrugging, “Fate has never held down my brother for too long, he has this issue about people dictating his life for him.” Faye’s face grows grim, “The Norn are significantly more troublesome than the sisters.” Deimos laughs again, “Nothing Kratos hasn’t dealt with before, right?” Her brother in law smiles at her for a moment before heading off to join Atreus and give a few tips of his own. Faye stays where she is, smiling at her family (4/4)
(I barelydare to add anything here because this is so perfect and I’m sniffling a bit)
The firstarrow Calliope releases swerves ever so slightly in its flight, hitting not thebullseye of the target they have set up for her but a good two inches to theright.
Calliope’sface falls, but before she even can comment on what she thinks to be a failure,Atreus exclaims with nothing but sincerity, “That was good!”
“We mightjust make a warrior out of you, little one,” Deimos chimes in, gently pattingthe girl’s small shoulder.
“But…. Imissed…”
“But only this much!” Atreus shows her, fingersalmost touching as he signals the distance, making her giggle. “The first timeI tried? I shot the arrow into the ground waybefore the target.”
“You did?”Calliope gapes at him. She has seen her brother – and isn’t that a dizzying,wonderful thought, she has a brother now- shoot arrows as quick as lightning and with an aim that never seems to failhim. Anything but hitting everytargets he goes for seems impossible for him.
“I did,” it’shard to not believe Atreus anything when he nods as serious as this. “I had totry again and again until I could aim and pull the string at the same time.Until then, I missed the target by miles!”
“That’snothing,” Deimos grunts, unfolding himself from crouching and standing to hisfull height as he grins down at them. “First time I tried the bow, I ended upalmost shooting your father in the foot!”
“What?!”
“No!”
“It’s true!He sidestepped it, though. Gave me a look as if I had done it on purpose, too –right, brother?”
Faye doesn’teven startle as she hears the answering hum right at her back, having feltKratos’ presence for a while now where she was watching their family. So shemerely tipped her head back, grinning at him. “Did he really?”
Kratos’eyes meet hers as he nodded ever so slightly. He seems for it to be only apassing glance, but he halts, eyes locking with hers. There’s a strange mixtureof emotions in those amber eyes – amusement, yes, but mostly still sadness, aglint of disbelief and oh-so-fragile hope, and Faye’s heart does a painfultwist in her chest.
He still thinks this is going to vanish on himat any second.
He thinks weare going to vanish on him.
She canbarely stand it to see that look. See it again– because she has seen it on him before, seen it whenever Kratos has held hisnewborn son in his arms, so unbearably gentle and hesitant and…
Fierceprotectiveness wells up inside Faye, mixed with nothing but love for thisbroken man she just wants to put back together.
Mind made up,she sways back and sideways, leaning seemingly casually into Kratos’ side.
“And youreally thought he would have done that on purpose?”She continues on as if nothing has happened, as if that moment hadn’t justpassed between them.
Willing himto understand. We’re right here. We’renot going to simply leave you again.
(If anyonebeside her notices how Kratos stiffens, startles, seems almost surprised by therealness and warmth of the sudden contact, then nobody comments on it. If theyalso notice him relax into it, slowly, with a deep breath, they know betterthan to comment.)
“…I’m stillnot fully convinced he didn’t mean todo that,” is Kratos’ slow answer after another beat, gaze lifting from thewoman by his side to his brother.
A brotherwho splutters, throwing his hands up in faked outrage to conceal his ownamusement as the children start laughing. “Did it on…?! After all this time, this is how you remember me?! As someonewho would… Brother, you wound me!”
“Either onpurpose,” there’s a rumble in Kratos’ voice, words brimming with emotion, butthe only thing showing on his face is a crooked, tiny smile. “Or your aim wasjust that horrible.”
“That’s it,”Deimos declares, turning around and crossing his arms, showing them his back.Shoulders shaking with barely withheld laughter that matches the way Atreus andCalliope are doubled over in mirth by now. “Never in my life – and afterlife! –has my honor been doubted like this. And by my own brother! I shall neverrecover from this! ”
And Fayestarts laughing, too, shaking as she presses a hand to her mouth to hide thelaughter but fails miserably at it.
Behind her,next to her, she feels a tremor going through Kratos, and she beams up at himas she recognizes his silent, withheld laughter.
For onemoment in time, somewhere between life and death, they are all together.
And theyare alright.

Tales of Symphonia Thoughts Pt. 4
Not much has happened cuz I've mostly been grinding but its time for a Symphonia update. Also, from now on I will be tagging all of my posts with Jun Plays Symphonia so block that tag if you don't want my random playthrough thoughts/updates.
Gonna put it under the cut from now on because it's long👇🏾
Anyway, the most important matter: I HATE THE SHIP SO MUCH, I HATE IT! THIS IS HORRIBLE, THE CONTROLS ARE SO BAD AAA!
Secondly, I am on day 3 or so of wanting to waterboard Zelos. I really do not like him so far but I keep telling myself that he's probably going to turn into a favorite because the same thing happened with the two other flirty, self-praising characters I used to hate (Vespy Raven and Persona 2 Eikichi, the latter of which he reminds me of more). At least he is kinda funny, and he's not wrong, he IS pretty. He keeps saying some concerning stuff on occasion though, I think he needs a therapist and some warm milk or something.
I was informed by my friend that in Japanese it actually says "hunny" any time Zelos says bud. We love a bisexual king always but also sir you are very embarrassing and imma need to ask you to stop.
Regal is a precious little blueberry muffin of a man, there is nothing I wouldn't do for him. When he made that pun to the secret notebook guy and then started blushing afterwards I wanted to punch a hole into my TV screen and yank him out of it and shake him around (affectionately). I guess I like the characters that are quiet and look sad because him and Kratos are my favorites atm. I wonder what his connection to Presea is. I'm torn between "That's his little sister" and "He wants to get close to her so he can betray us and try to hurt her". Keeping an eye on him... Also I don't exactly know how I feel about us taking him prisoner? Like, I know he is already a prison and he also tried to attack us but taking him prison, forcing him to fight for us, and blackmailing him with not being able to talk to Presea if he doesn't do what we say feels kinda messed up. Also I hate his stupid little bra shirt. What sort of weird prison was he in with a uniform like that??
I was left muttering "What the fuck" to myself over and over after finding out Presea has been living with the corpse of someone she doesn't even realize is dead. Like they've just laid there decaying for lord knows how long and she didn't even notice, that's so... I am at a loss for words. Yikes.
I miss Kratos so much. I wish they showed a bit more how Lloyd was feeling about all of this, he seemed like he was getting close to Kratos. I want to know what him and his beautiful evil friend are up to. I get the sense that he whatever it is he doesn't really want as much of a part in it as he seems to have to play.
I'm a little worried that something is wrong with Colette again... she also tripped and fell and reacted strangely at one point. I think Kratos also mentioned something about wanting to remove her keycrest. I wonder if it's having some sort of weird effect on her or if it's not actually strong enough to keep things in check for long.
Also the whole concept of exphere's in general is very disturbing. It isn't just a piece of technology, it's a parasitic infection that can completely take over your body/mind and turn you into a grotesque being. That and the fact that they're made from dead people aren't even enough to keep them from being produced and people don't even seem to have any clue at all about what they are attaching to their bodies. Freaky.
I think that's all for today! More grinding before I go into the mines, I have been abusing the holy bottles a little too much 😅
