a/n: this was the most chosen in both polls, so I figured I’d post this one first. I apologise for not being able to come up with a lot for this one, but I hope you still like it :)

Wandanat who brought you on your first ever shopping spree, buying everything you wanted, and who secretly bought everything you stared at for too long, while insisting you didn’t want it

Wandanat who took you with them after the Avengers broke up, making sure you were safe and happy after another large change of surroundings

I decided to revisit my nails. It's been a year and a bunch of base game updates since they were made. And they needed a spreadsheet.

To be honest, I don't like their previews anymore and genuinely want to delete all 7 nails lol But I convinced myself I'll keep the aesthetics the way they are until I come up with something better. Or maybe I won't and will nuke them in the end. Anyways.

Tidied up the tags. They match freshly cloned base game nails (masculine fashion choice is an exception). My nails were missing outfit types, although I'm pretty sure I didn't remove them myself. Confused but fixed.

Added color tags. I wasn't adding them for CAS items before because they are subjective as hell. I relied on RGB values while assigning the most questionable ones, so I guess this is the best I can do for those who do use color tags. But even with them, CAS interface itself is going to show only the first swatch of the color…

Cleaned up meshes of square nails. It seems I forgot to split sharp edges, and it was causing unnecessary smoothing and shadows. Not anymore!

Made proper UV_1. It was working fine, but it wasn't as merged as EA's UV_1 is, so I dedicated some time to make it match.

Reduced all LODs' density from 70% and 40% to 66% and 33%.

it'd be interesting to see a version of that Beloathed Fanfic Terminology poll that skips all the general clumsy-writing foibles and focuses on shibboleths specific to fic culture (esp LJ/AO3 "house style"). blown pupils. toeing off shoes. italicized "oh." huffing a laugh. "fisted" as a synonym for "grabbed," often in contexts where The Author Should Damn Well Know That Raises Awkward Disambiguation Issues. entire clusters of statistically-improbable dialogue tags that i can't think up examples of offhand, but would absolutely clock if i saw them in the wild. scent X, scent Y, and something uniquely him. fill in your own; i'm sure there are tons more.

some of them i find kinda charming, and most of the ones above don't really bother me except that they sometimes ring a bit cliché, and/or are so jarringly fanfic-specific that they can interfere with a narrative voice that's less so. but my stupid-ass hill to die on is that "blown pupils" drives me NUTS. I Have Never Fucking Noticed Someone's Eyes Doing That, let alone doing that from being turned on. let alone so dramatically as to be understood shorthand for "turned on," rather than "concussed" or "on the way back from the ophthalmologist's office" or "on So Many Drugs" or "having a fucking stroke." and if i - with an existing pet peeve about this phrase in fanfic - have never taken time out of a makeout session to note the relative pupil dilation of the person i'm sucking face with, i guaran-fuckin'-tee you that Emotional Constipation McManlyMan from your slash fics would not fucking say that even in internal narration, and definitely would not have that exact wording on hand as a stock turn of phrase. come the fuck on.

#if tumblr is my ambient crankiness containment zone today then by god i will find THE pettiest most broadly-aimed things to be a pill about #'blown pupils' is so common that i have no doubt many followers and cherished mutuals who write fic have indulged #like. each specific instance barely even registers; at most i twitch and move on. but As A Stock Phrase In Fanfiction i wish it a very die.#the others are at least describing recognizable human phenomena! the only RL 'pupils blown wide' i've seen were on cats with the zoomies #fandom #fanfiction

Reminder you can block tags

All polls with characters under the age of 18 are marked with the tag #minor poll So if you don't want to participate, you don't have to. Just block the tag. If I need to expand the tag to all high schoolers even if they are 18, please let me know because the polls that people are starting crap on are high schoolers who are 18 and 19.

Do not start crap in the comments. I do allow high schoolers because so many of us grew up watching anime in our first anime crushes were probably high schoolers. Plus anime ages do not make sense sometimes because I have watched an anime about an assassin trying to get back home to his wife that I swore had to be in his twenties. He was actually 16 again anime ages don't make sense sometimes. Now this does not condone preying upon minors in real life. But these are fictional characters. You cannot hurt them because they don't exist in real life. But again do not start crap I will block.

Plus I'm pretty sure most people don't actually know the real ages of characters with how many messages I get saying a character is under 18 or 15 and a simple Google search reveals the character is in their twenties or is married with children if there is no official age so safe to assume they're an adult from an official source. And for every one character I'm getting that is actually underage whether it's I need to add the minor tag or even I need to delete the poll because they're too young to be a high schooler. I'm getting at least five to seven messages that are false alarms.

This also goes for spoilers I'm tired of people getting mad about manga only characters when I tag polls with the appropriate tags. Plus all polls with spoilers get the tag #spoiler poll just to be safe remember people block the tag if you're worried about spoilers or manga only characters.

I'm reminding people about this because I don't want to have to bump the age back up to 18 because people can't behave and today I had to delete a couple comments because people tried to start stuff. Ironically, they were complaining about characters who were 18 but they were still in high school. I did double check again. People don't realize the characters actual ages. I don't want to have to police your language in the comments. Just making polls and daily blog maintenance is exhausting enough. But if I have to I will block people for the sake of my sanity. So please behave this goes to everyone.

so, did you know ace was offered a position on the warlords that he turned down? well i mean... if he had accepted, it would follow that the revs would take more interest in him, yeah? i mean, it is their job to keep tabs on the government, you'd presume that extends to warlords as well.
