This set is really pretty but Ichika definitely has the best card in it. I love the stars and the little fish things swimming about.

Rainy Distance (First Star After the Rain)

No I do not care that this was her first 4*. How can people say the old sets are bad like have you SEEN the Stella set? It's absolutely beautiful.

Because You're Our Dear Friend (Unwavering Feelings, Now Put Into Words)

This set is so pretty!! It’s one of my favorite perm sets. Honami's is definitely my favorite though because the twinkly stars really take it up a level.

The Right Path for Me (Colorful Festival)

Shiho looks really cool in this one and I love the artstyle. I like the sign that just says "sign".

For "Your" Sake (Let's Deliver! Hopeful Stage)

Another really good Year One set! I love the angel theming with Minori and giving her actual wings was such a cool idea. Faito faito Minorin!

Perfect Premonition (Connecting Painful Hope)

I vividly remember when this leaked it was a big day for MMJ fans. She looks really cool in this card and I like the sort of rockstar aesthetic it has. Easily my favorite card for her

To You Who Wants To Be An Idol (Colorful Festival)

One of my favorite cards in the game! The aesthetic is really cute and reminds me of pop art. I love the details on the eyes as well

I still can’t believe that this set is perm it’s absolutely stunning. Easily Shizuku’s best card, she looks so ethereal here

I love the colors and the art on this one. It’s really unique and definitely one of my favorite fes cards. Again I love how her eyes are drawn and colored.

The Reason Behind the Words I Was Told (Find A Way Out)

I love the emotion on this one like it carries really well. Honestly it’s not the prettiest or most interesting card ever but it resonates ygm. You can really feel his joy and passion in this one.

Feelings That Were Buried (Colorful Festival)

Ough his fes is so good. The symbolism as well like music is really important to Toya and it’s a huge part of his life but he's keeping this specific part behind a curtain for now. The fact it’s in the part of his fragment sekai that isn’t as derelict as the rest- it hurts.

Receiving Your Inspiration (A Sorrowful Farewell at the Curtain Call)

It was really close between this and Torpe but ultimately I chose this one. It’s really bright and warm compared to Rui's dark and cold and Nene's in-between and I think that's why it sticks out to me.

An Irreplaceable Smile (Smile of Dreamer)

Yumekawa sets are always some of my favorites and this set especially. Imo this is also the most “Emu” card so far like it’s so fun and colorful and imaginative

Mary poppins nene!! Like I said with Emu this is probably one of the most “Nene” cards to me, she needs more stuff that has that classic musical theatre kinda vibe.

The Right Words to Throw (At This Festival Colored By Twilight)

I think this whole set was really pretty but this one is probably my favorite from it. I like the references to previous wandasho events and looking at this after Curtain Call just hits different yk

Flowerbed of Memories (Carnation Recollection)

Like I said with Akito this one is about the emotion. I think it captures the event story really well like if you have background context you can see all the connections to the Yoisaki family and Kanade reminiscing about that warmth.

I had a really hard time picking my favorite but I think I’m gonna go for her archery card as well. I already said it but this set is great and I love the details in the background of this card as well.

I remember really well when this one leaked because it was around the time I started actively playing the game and I’m still in awe about it. It looks so good for a permanent card and we have never gotten another card like this.

Making Chocolates With Children (The Gentleman Thief's Thrilling White Day!?)

Not the most impressive choice but white day sets go hard. I love medieval/fantasy AU and this card is really cool. Also convinced that the artist does not know how heavy flagpoles are.

I love the victorian mad scientist look she’s bringing to the table. Also I like lore.

I love the colors on this one it looks so pretty; pink and purple palettes look so nice. Also leo/need with stars always a plus.

Reassuring Warmth (Get Over It.)

Probably my second favorite perm set after archery. I love space/sci-fi themed things and this is probably my favorite from that set. The colors are really nice and I like the lore implications of her solar system model

Playing With Their Hair

Poly Lost Boys, Michael and Star x Gender neutral reader

Came up with this while chatting with @aliypop. Thank you for giving me this idea, I had so much fun with this!

I love playing with hair/having my hair played with so here's an imagine where the reader like playing with their partners' hair and they receive some loving back.

Warnings?: there's like a few curse words...?

Playing with your multiple partners' hair was something that you did absentmindedly. Whether it be while you were doing a task that kept you in one spot, cuddling with them, being near them or even to just get your mind off things.

Though some of your partners allowed it more than others. Dwayne was at the top of your list of people that loved it when you played with his hair. He loved it when you would run your fingers through it and scratch his scalp. At times you would catch him almost falling asleep.

He also liked it when you would braid his hair. Sometimes when he would wake up in your nest he would find small random braids in his hair and thought it was absolutely adorable. He wore them the entire night and didn’t take them out until you did so yourself.

There were a handful of times that you’ve given him an actual french braid. You would smile when you would take it out the next day, his usual straight hair now a little wavy.

Dwayne would also reciprocate the action. If you were laying down with him or just leaning against him, he would play with your hair as well. If it was long enough, he would braid your hair as well. He’s the only one who kills it at braiding. If your hair was short, he would just run his fingers through it, scratching your scalp to lull you to sleep.

Beads were also a big thing between the two of you. If you wanted to give him a few braids, you sometimes wanted to add a couple of beads as you braided. He would do the same with you, picking out your favorite colors and wearing a smile the entire night when you wouldn’t take them out.

Paul enjoys it as well, I mean, have you seen his hair? The boy runs his hands through his hair to get that teased look. He loves it when you tease it yourself, trying to fix it from laying down in your nest or even just from causing chaos.

This boy purrs when you run his fingers through his hair. He’s like a big cat… or a golden retriever that loves the attention. He will lay practically on top of you as you play with his hair. You wanna put in a few braids? Sure! Just please take them out before he goes to sleep. He’ll wear them out no problem but he doesn’t want them for too long.

Paul mostly enjoys you just running your fingers through it. He will play with your hair, no questions asked. If he does, expect him to stare at your face like a love-sick puppy when he does. He loves you to death and just watching you be so relaxed by his touch could make his dead heart beat one more time.

Plus, he fidgets a lot so letting him play with your hair was a BIG thing. He would try his best to give you braids but would fail and you were lucky that he didn’t tie your hair into a knot if it was long enough. If it was short, he would still have fun just playing with the small strands of hair.

Michael 100% down with you touching his hair which made you very happy. Have you seen his curls?!?! They are so soft!! Probably has the softest hair out of the entire bunch. You love running your fingers through his hair and you are not the only one. Everyone seems to love the softness, everyone somehow and someway has run their fingers through his hair.

He loves affection and playing with his hair not only calmed you, but it also calmed him. Multiple times he has fallen asleep in your lap and you definitely aren’t complaining about it.

Since his hair isn’t necessarily long, you can braid it, but it isn’t going to be the best. You are incredibly lucky if you can get a couple braids. You mostly just play with the curls, pulling them and watching them spring back into place which always makes you giggle and make little sound effects with them. (Side note: I have really curly hair and so many people did this to me.)

He is the only one, apart from Star and Marko that you can put anything in his hair. Sometimes you’ll put in random clips, pulling some of the hair back into a new hairstyle. The clips would range from simple bobby pins to colorful metal snap clips to more fancier ones with tiny jewels on them. A pretty boy deserves pretty clips.

When he plays with your hair, he’s so gentle. Treating you like glass and mostly is pushing you hair out of your face so he could stare at it. Your heart clenches when he looks at you lovingly and running his fingers through your hair.

Star is on the same level as Paul. She melts from your touch. Her favorite thing to do is hug you as you play with her hair. You detangle her long curls, giving her braids like the others and even adding in small beads like Dwayne, but that’s very rarely.

You are convinced that her hair is the longest. Followed by Marko, Dwayne and then Paul. David’s is just a tiny bit longer than Michael’s, so you have so much fun with Star’s hair the most.

Even when you weren’t playing with it while relaxing, you were trying out new hairstyles out on her. You’ve both gone through multiple different looks for her. Experimenting to see what worked and what didn’t. Star could never see what you’ve done but you always explained it to her the best you could or even showed her pictures of what it looks like from magazines.

Star does the same for you. She’ll style it and play with it depending on what length or even what type of hair you had. She always tried her best, giving you looks that she knows you would love. Heck, she’ll even help you dye it or cut it to your wishes if you ask her too. To be honest, Star is the only one you’ll allow to cut or do anything drastic to your hair.

Marko is weird about his hair. He takes care of his luscious golden curls like it’s his baby. It’s on the same level of his jacket. Nobody can really touch or play with it. But if he’s in the mood or gets a little jealous that everyone else's hair is getting love, he wants it too!

Without a word, Marko will just either plop down in front of you or sit on your lap, pulling out the hair tie that keeps his hair back and just mumble that he wants you to play with it. How could you resist? Answer: you couldn’t.

His long beautiful curls were like Michael’s but had a bit more of a bounce to them. You would detangle them, he would love it when you scratched his scalp, closing his eyes and leaning into your touch.

Good luck doing anything to his hair because curly hair is very tricky to work with. The curls get caught easily on each other. You think you have it down? Nope. Nice try. Marko’s hair: 1 You: 0

Marko’s hair is the second softest. Again, he takes care of his curls, he takes pride in them and he will never cut it. Maybe trim it to keep it healthy, but nothing more than an inch off. He’ll lose it.

He LOVES playing with your hair though. Anytime the two of you are together, his hands are playing with anything he can get his hands on. He will even take tips from Star on how to take care of your hair. There are some nights that Marko will take Star’s place and try a style that he thinks will look good on you. You know he was happy with his work because he was smiling all night long.

Now David… David’s hair is a no. Don’t touch it in front of the others, don’t even think about it. He’s like Marko. His mullet is a part of him and he doesn’t like people fucking with it. But that’s when he’s around the others. In private, just the two of you, it’s a whole different story.

Even in private though, he’s still a little protective of it. Very rarely will he just let you "play" with it. It’s only if he’s in a really good mood or he’s stressed. If he’s stressed, it’s probably one of the best things you can do for him. He especially likes it when you scratch the lower back of his head, right where it connects with his neck. Don’t ask why, it just feels good.

Another thing that he really likes is when you push back any stray hairs of his. Your fingers would brush against his face, hitting a little bit of his scruff as you pushed back a stray hair behind his ear. If you do that, dear lord, have mercy on your soul because he likes it way too much.

Other than that, you aren’t touching it unless you two are doing some kinky shit, which is the only other time he’ll let you touch it. Just pulling his hair at the base, the same place he likes scratched, and that’s when I wish you all the luck in the world. He isn’t letting you go at all that night.

David really only plays with your hair if he’s thinking about something. He’ll usually be laying with you in your nest, smoking a cigarette in one hand while petting your hair with the other, deep in thought. He doesn’t say anything as he does so and that’s okay. He’s content and so are you.

Also, don’t let anybody else know, but how the hell do you think his hair is platinum blonde, almost white? You are the only one to bleach and dye his hair. He will never live down the teasing from the others if they saw him with the foil in his locks. The only one he would allow to see was Dwayne. Before you came along, he was the one helping.

Apart from that, there are multiple times when a handful of you have braid trains. And that includes Michael, you and Dwayne; in the specific order. Michael learns from both you and Dwayne on how to braid hair.

Occasionally, Marko might join, letting Dwayne braid his hair. You’re a little jealous cause somehow Dwayne has magic fingers and is able to braid Marko’s hair with no problem.

Of course, like David, all of them either like pulling your hair or getting theirs pulled in a certain way. More or less, it’s David, Dwayne, and Marko that prefer pulling yours. Paul and Michael like it when you do it to them and Star… this girl is a wild card, you never know with her.

Either way, playing with their hair or them playing with yours is, in a way, therapeutic for all of you and it brings you all even closer together.

He would be unable to deny her anything. Don’t let these two go to the mall alone. Unless you don’t care for electricity or hot water. Then you do you, I guess.

I even can see him dressed in pink tutu, sitting by a small, pink table and sipping on nonexisting tea. Anything to make his little angel happy

I overall don’t see him as a parent who actively takes part in his child’s school life - like helping with organizing plays or sawing costumes or parent-teacher association associating or other stuff alike, BUT...

He sure would never miss a single performance of his baby girl and would support her along the whole way there.

And yes. He will watch YT tutorials to learn how to do some pretty hairstyles for his princess, even though initially he wouldn’t want to do them at all.

And yes. He will paint her nails when she’s old enough not to stuff her hands into her mouth all the time.

They are collecting figures. Like, motorcycles and cars at first. Then also planes when the boy gets a little older.

He would look upto his daddy very much. Would adore that he’s a police officer and could fly and was just basically flawless - at least in your son’s eyes.

They would play with his plane toys, which boy could all name. His favorite would be the Supermarine Spitfire. Gavin could never play with that one. Dad is great and all, but it’s HIS plane.

When your sun gets a bit older, his dad would take him to aerobatic aviation shows and historic planes displays.

He surely would be a daddy’s boy, if you didn’t figure it yet. You’re cool and he loves you… BUT GAVIN?

Their bond remains strong throughout the years. They keep alot of secrets from you, but you benefit from it from time to time. Especially in saving nerves. So it’s cool. Unless it’s not…

When grown up he sure would become a police officer like his dad or a soldier. I sure see him in military aviation. Dad would be a bit worried, but would give him his full support and all the help he could.

I also believe you and Gavin would have more than just one child, but that’s just a side note.

Not a reckless dad tho. He knows it’s not good for kids to eat as much sweets as they want to. He knows it’s not the best idea to say yes to every single whim of theirs…

But his little princess is so pretty. And so cute. And so sweet.

Remember when I told you how Gavin would be not so happy to attend her daughter’s tea parties?

Kiro would live for those! He would buy himself dresses for those occasions.

And they would do fashion shows for you.

This dad is going to ask his daughter to do his makeup.

Takes her to get ice cream behind your back after picking her up from her ballet practice.

I don’t know why, but I see his son as that shy, artistic type. That romantic boy with an acoustic guitar kind of trope.

He would have a voice of an angel and a talent surpassing even his father’s. He literally doesn’t need Kiro’s evol to have his charm.

This dad would be so proud. A little sad that his modest, little boy doesn’t want to perform on stage with him, but still - so extremely happy to have such a talented son.

He would get him the best tutors, and the finest instruments and every other equipment his little angel might need. Not even necessarily ask for.

If that was what wished for, he would help him start a career. He surely has what it gets to make someone famous.

If that wasn’t what his son wanted however - he would never push him. He knows the price that comes with money and a large fanbase and he wouldn’t force anyone to pay it.

I see Lucien as the best dad of all 4, and before you get mad at me for being biased, know that he's not my fav. I like being called an idiot and men in uniforms.

Big part of it would surely be his psychological knowledge, not gonna lie. Second one would be his outstanding intelligence that helps him with application of upbringing’s roles into life.

He just knows exactly how and when to be soft and when and how to be firm.

He would take his daughter for walks and movies. He would love to take her to an amusement park from time to time.

It’s important for him that his daughter would be well socialised.

And surprise, surprise - his daughter would be a genius. Doesn’t matter if you are biological parents or not. It just happened. And he’s very happy to be destroyed in a chase game by his nine year old.

He helps her with preparing for math contests. And any other contests there are.

They often sit together on the couch and read books. She even makes the same face as she focuses. Yes - even she’s adopted.

Wouldn’t it be absolutely cute and a little bit ironic if his son would be a little trouble maker?

Wouldn’t want to study. Just spent all day on the playground with other kids. An tradic picky eater. Can fall asleep wherever he is, in whatever position he is.

I could see Lucien struggle to find a way to get to his child, but I couldn’t see him ever give up.

He would enroll his son into some school sports team and would very actively support it. They need a parent to go with them to attend a sports contest in another school. Sign him up. Lucien is a very busy man, that’s true, but not too busy for that.

He would learn the rules and tactics of whatever game his son plays.

Would help him practice outside his practices. Even if he might not enjoy it.

And obviously, would eagerly help him if he had any problems in school.

Overall, I see Lucien as a very loving father, who doesn’t shy away with expressing just how important his kids are for him.

The one who would constantly motivate his children.

They are learning languages, participating in at least one sport, playing an instrument and traveling around the world with him to experience many different cultures.

His little girl would be confident, smart, self-disciplined and an absolutely cute dork who thinks daddy doesn’t know she figured how to get to that cookie jar on the highest shelf.

She started drawing things for him since she was too small to even talk properly… and she was really good for such a small poppet.

He quickly decided to add art classes to her already long list of extracurricular activities.

At some point she was absolutely wonderful. Daddy was swelling with pride.

A perfect student, remarcable artist… Obviously a Li.

She would then study architecture at the most prestigious university in the country. Victor would spare no expenses. She deserves it.

A quiet but intimidating kid that sits in the first row in class and gives his teacher a challenging look.

Destroys in chess even Lucien’s daughter… sometimes.

Has no friends because he’s disgusted by other people.

Daddy’s boy lvl. 100 Future LFG CEO.

If he could he would even sleep with daddy… but daddy doesn’t let him because he needs “privacy” with you. Good thing you sometimes make him sandwiches, because you might get taken care of…

Victor would have his kid’s photo on his desk. Two of them actually. One facing him and one facing anyone who sits on the opposite side. People need to know just how cute they looked in their matching shirts during last year’s father’s day celebrations.

They would go to the movies together. Victor who usually makes sure your kids are eating healthy would buy him a huge popcorn… and sometimes even M&M’s.

Victor would be a principled dad with high expectations, but don’t make a mistake. Even if his kids weren’t as ambitious and success focused as he’s he would love them just as much and care for them just as much.

There would also be no favoring if you had more than one child. Everyone must feel equally loved and he would make sure it’s exactly the case.

The Wolf Reviewed

Spoiler-free section

My life is divided into two eras: ‘before seeing GG as Ji Chong’ and ‘after seeing GG as Ji Chong’. I will never be the same.

GG is magical in this series, and Ji Chong is among my absolute favorite characters of all time (I am actually in love with this character, which is heartbreaking given the fact that he’s fictional). The show also has many interesting characters and some exciting storylines, and in spite of some of its flaws this series is quite good. Highly recommended.

Of course there’s a lot more to it than that, but I can’t give a full review without spoilers. Here’s the rest for those who have already seen the series.

OK, where to start?

The Characters

There were so many great characters in this story and overall I found the performances of all of them well-acted and exciting to watch. I especially loved Ji Chong and Yao Ji. Both were complex, mysterious characters who stole the show every time they were onscreen.

Ji Chong was incredible. Everything about him was over-the-top amazing. I can imagine that GG must have identified a lot with Ji Chong because he has a similarly gallant, charismatic and kind personality. Seeing GG perform a character like this was mind-blowing because of the harmony between them in spite of their physical differences.

I could go on and on about how much I love Ji Chong as a character but if you’ve seen the series you already know how great he is. I truly fell in love with that man. He was everything I love in a person, and in such a beautiful package. I loved his nimble mischievousness, his rebelliousness, his fierce independence, his devotion to those he loves, and above all, his integrity. With one exception that I’ll get into later, everything he did in that series was consistent with the image I had of him and it made my heart melt.

And it was pretty insane to see GG go from the thin, twinkish, bubbly and somewhat diminutive Wei Wuxian to the rugged, masculine, mature and level-headed Ji Chong. Not only because of the personality differences between the two characters, but also because of the physical differences. They look like two entirely different people. Ji Chong looks so tall and imposing in the series!

It’s impressive to see GG’s acting ability shine through in these roles. He has such a gift for acting, and for drawing viewers into the hearts of the characters he plays.

Yao Ji was another character that really impressed me. She had so much intensity and complexity, and her character arc was so strong. She was also just incredibly well styled and she looked breathtaking in every single frame she appeared in. The various headpieces and hairstyles she wore were stunning, and her sidekick Zi Shen was an aesthetic marvel.

I also really loved Ma Jing. Despite the fact that she was often used for comedic effect, her character was quite nuanced and multidimensional. I loved her loyalty and strength, and the depth of the love she had for Ma Zhai Xing really shone through in every scene she was in.

The entire Night Fury group was also amazing. I loved them as a team and as individuals, and the trajectories their characters went through were interesting and engaging. I was really invested in what became of them. When Wen Yan died I was gutted, and I was grateful that Hai Die and Mo Xiao had such a satisfying conclusion to their story.

I also adored Butler Shi. What a great character. He reminded me of one or two guys I know hehe. He had such a warm, endearing quality about him.

I’m realizing that I could sit here and name almost every character in this series. Despite some of the problems that I have with it, I’m reminded that the characters are exceptionally well-realized in this series.

The Story

Overall I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the story. It was exciting and engaging, and there were some very interesting side conflicts and intrigues. There was an overall sense of adventure and plenty of action, some really emotional moments and even comic relief.

When you think about it, almost every character had something deeper going on outside of the main plot, and those side/back stories were really interesting and varied. There was complexity to the characters and their motives and experiences without it overcomplicating the plot.

The romances were not my cup of tea. I’ll get into that later on. But despite being the thread that ran through the entire story, they really didn’t feel central to it and it was easy to simply enjoy the show while putting aside the annoyances I had with the romances (I did this primarily by consciously choosing to take the story at face value, and choosing to believe that Ma Zhai Xing really was through with Prince Bo).

The show did a great job of getting me engaged and keeping me interested, giving me a story that was complex without being confusing, emotional without being too sappy (with some exceptions). The action, fight scenes, battles, etc. were exciting without feeling fake and cliche. There were some well-choreographed scenes.

I really can’t complain about much. I mean, there were times when I was watching this series that I thought I hated it, but in retrospect I can see that I really loved it in spite of some of the flaws, which I’ll discuss in a moment.

The Soundtrack

The soundtrack was quite good, even if it felt repetitive when I was bingeing the show. So many songs have stuck with me since I finished the series. I especially like Backflow by Jolin Tsai (second-last song on the playlist I linked). Of course I would have loved a song or two with GG, but the soundtrack we got was memorable.

What I hated

I really struggled with some aspects of this series.

I found Bao Na mostly unwatchable. She was incredibly annoying. As a character she had all the traits I dislike. Whiny, stalker, demanding, emotionally immature, jealous... I really couldn’t stand that character for a lot of the series.

It’s true that she started to redeem herself a bit through the course of the series but she never really evolved into someone I wanted to see more of. I definitely had some moments where I liked her and sympathized with her, but mostly she grated on my nerves.

I also hated Prince Bo through most of the series, and found it insulting that I was expected to view him as the protagonist and cheer for him to win the princess’s heart. I felt that the ‘love-hate’ thing between Prince Bo and Ma Zhai Xing was overplayed to a point where I lost all sympathy with Prince Bo and desperately wanted him to die a horrible death through much of the series.

His behavior didn’t reflect someone who was in love but wanted to protect her. Much of his behavior was excessive and gratuitous, much worse than was necessary to achieve its stated goal. He was incredibly emotionally and psychologically abusive toward Ma Zhai Xing to a degree that was often really hard to watch. Especially his near-rape of her.

This is a man that I didn’t want to see redeemed. This is a man I wanted to see burned alive. No one who truly loved Ma Zhai Xing would be even remotely capable of the actions Prince Bo took.

I will admit that he did begin to redeem himself in my eyes a bit later in the series, but not to where I could ever see him with Ma Zhai Xing. I don’t think that’s the sort of treatment one can ever redeem in a relationship. He might be able to redeem himself, but not the relationship. There are some lines, once crossed between people, that one can never come back from.

I actually felt that Yao Ji was a much better match for Prince Bo than the princess was. They were true equals with similarly difficult pasts, and similarly dark deeds to redeem themselves from. They were in so many ways perfect for each other.

Ji Chong and Ma Zhai Xing were a better match because they were more natural equals in terms of personality, values and life paths. There were tremendous parallels between the two of them. Although I ended up feeling she didn’t deserve him.

So for me, it was really difficult to get invested in the love stories I was presented with. Ultimately I found them all very unsatisfying. The people I wanted to see together were treated as unsuitable for each other in ways that were completely unbelievable, and the people I was expected to want to see together had unconvincing chemistry and incompatibilities that I couldn’t overlook.

Seeing Ma Zhai Xing die in the end was an OUTRAGE. Especially when I read about the director’s rationale for that decision.

“Her thought process on killing off “Zhai Xing” was that “King Bo” had done so much for her that it was time for her to do something for him. “Her character had matured the most in the series. Dying for Wolf Boy is the best ending for this identity of hers. To me, this perfect ending is even more in line with her character’s growth.””

I found that shocking. I couldn’t disagree more with this sentiment. She wasted so much of herself and her life for Prince Bo. He treated her like crap, and he didn’t ever truly do anything to redeem himself from that behavior. He should have been the one to die.

In my opinion, REAL character growth for Ma Zhai Xing would have been to see her overcome the fixation with Wolf Boy and with Prince Bo and just move on with her life.

I will say this, though: By the time Ma Zhai Xing died in the show, her character had already been so utterly and thoroughly decimated beyond all recognition via the Prince Bo housewife trajectory that there was no point in her surviving.

The absolute worst moment for me, though, was Ji Chong ending up with Bao Na. Talk about adding insult to injury. This is the one thing that Ji Chong did as a character that ran against my understanding of him as a character.

You could have done anything at all to Ji Chong, including killing him or turning him into a villain, and it would have been less of an insult to me than putting him with Bao Na.

I do try to interpret his invitation for them to travel together in a non-romantic way (despite the fact that in the world of the show there’s no way that a princess is going to go traveling with a prince without her reputation being ruined unless they are a couple). But when I tell myself that he took her traveling to get her away from court and give her some life experience - as friends only - then it becomes less of a bitter pill to swallow. I could see him doing that for her, and I could see them developing a strong friendship through their travels.

I just can’t see them as remotely romantically compatible. Not on any level.

I found it completely unconvincing that the most emotionally mature, honorable person in the entire series who had the healthiest boundaries and a lot of worldly experience and intelligence, would have any interest whatsoever in someone as emotionally immature, childish and inexperienced (and with no boundaries whatsoever) as Bao Na.

I would have preferred it if they’d framed that whole thing as him being a sort of big brother/mentor figure to her.

I felt like I saw chemistry and compatibility between Bao Na and Fourth Prince Chu You Ze, and I would have loved to see them end up together. They were much more at an equal footing. I was expecting that to be the outcome and it would have been a sweet one. They would have made a cute couple.

Final thoughts

The romances in this story seemed fixated on unhealthy, often misogynistic power imbalances and they were really, really hard to watch. Not just in terms of Prince Bo and Ma Zhai Xing but also the ugly Ji Chong and Princess Bao Na hookup they tried to get me to swallow at the end. I hate that kind of ‘love’ story. I prefer seeing actual equals find each other in the great wide world.

However, pretty much everything else about the series was excellent. Ji Chong owns my heart and I only wish I could see more of him. GG completely blew me away and far exceeded all of my expectations.

Overall, I really love this series and will definitely be rewatching it.

54. “I made reservations.”

I miss him so much and I hope he’s resting up, I just want to take care of him and be his comfort person TT

“To be really honest, I have no idea what he’s busy with until I see a recording or photoshoot of his on my schedule, and then I’m summoned to do his hair and makeup,” You laughed. “At this point I think it’s a relief he renewed his contract with AOMG instead of signing with H1GHR, don’t you think?”

“I’m right, he really is the dad that’s never home,” Wonjae chuckled, tugging lower on his beanie.

You were in the car on the way back to the AOMG headquarters after Wonjae’s photoshoot where Pumkin had dropped by in support since it was his first ever solo shoot for W magazine when the topic of Jay came about as you guys discussed the responses received from the interview they had done that was uploaded just a few days ago. With how busy Jay had been and how rare it was to see him around at the AOMG headquarters, their questions on what he had been up to very naturally fell on you because who else would know better if not for his girlfriend, right?

Wrong. You had absolutely no idea either.

Yes, there was the H1GHR compilation – you knew that much – but so did everyone else. The fact that you didn’t know much more than that surprised them, to say the least.

“Do you want me to nag at him a little and drop him a hint or two? I could do that,” Pumkin offered.

“Oh please no, I don’t think he’ll be too pleased if he finds out I’m whining about him to you guys behind his back.”

“Not exactly, we’re the ones asking you about him,” Wonjae rebutted.

“Yeah, when was the last time you guys went on a date?” Pumkin asked. “Don’t count the ones where you guys order delivery from the office or his studio, those aren’t counted.”

“Why not? Those are dates…”

“I see where the problem lies now,” Wonjae snickered.

“C’mon, you guys are making this a bigger deal than it actually is,” You remarked. “We’ve been dating for years now, we’re past that.”

A few days passed since then with nothing really out of the ordinary except for a dinner with your friends that you’ve managed to fit into your schedule after clearing an important deadline. With a couple of music releases coming up, you were attending meetings with different artists, talking to them about their ideas and concepts, proposing hairstyles, make up and clothing that would be suitable for their music videos and teaser images.

While the job did sound manageable, the very act of browsing endless collections of the latest fashion releases was extremely time consuming, and squeezing in a short conversation or two with Jay via text message was, in fact, pretty much the norm these days with the both of you being so busy. Not that you minded – you just got used to it.

And so did he.

You understood though, really. You understood that he was a busy man and while you were important to him, he simply could not afford to put you in the center of his world. But he tried, and he did all he could to show you that. Yet, with that workaholic nature of his and all the people he had to put on for, work would always be his priority.

It was just hard facing up to it last week when you tried your luck at getting some affection by cuddling up to him while he was reviewing some tracks during the ten minute window that the both of you were left alone in the studio – you couldn’t help it, it’s been a whole month (!!!) – only to earn a ‘I’m working, babe’ in a tone you don’t usually appreciate. He apologized, of course, realizing that he had hurt your feelings from the way you retreated quietly to another room, but it did enough to keep you from attempting it again for the remainder of the week.

“Dinner tonight?”

A message notification flashed across your screen. It was Jay.

You didn’t think much of it though and readily agreed to it. For a split second, you wondered if Pumkin had a part to play in this and the smirk on his face as the receptionist walked in to the office towards you with a bouquet of roses in hand only confirmed your suspicions.

“Looks like someone sent you flowers,” She said, handing it to you.

Now Jay wasn’t really one who’d be into these flashy, romantic gestures, especially in front of his employees, and the number of heads that turned towards your direction with knowing smiles on their faces made you understand exactly why.

Take a longer lunch break to get ready if you need to, I’ll be at the office at 7pm to pick you up.

You raised a brow at the formalities as you read the message on the card. Having been together for years, being on the receiving end of this somewhat grand gesture all of a sudden needed some getting use to again but with everyone’s attention on you and the extremely elaborate bouquet, you quickly set is aside, an embarrassed smile the best you could muster in response to their reactions before you got back to work.

Consumed by your pile of work, you had completely lost track of time since then but it wasn’t hard to tell that it was already 7pm from the way your colleagues peeped curiously from behind their desk dividers, stifling their excited giggles and from their reaction you could already guess that Jay was here. It wasn’t every day that they could catch a glimpse of their boss’s love life, after all.

“Ready to go?” He asked, and what ensued was a moment of confusion the second you turned around to face him.

He was all cleaned up in a black tee shirt and dress pants, hair styled back and you were pretty sure those were some new shoes from his two hundred deep sneaker collection while there you were, in a pair of skinny jeans and oversized sweater and it was obvious that you guys weren’t dressed for the same occasion.

You hesitated, “…last minute schedule to attend to?”

“No…I’m taking you for dinner?” He mused, gesturing to the flowers. “I made reservations.”

“Yeah but…you didn’t tell me that I had to get dressed up,” You replied sheepishly.

“I did,” He laughed. “You just didn’t take me seriously.”

“You said ‘if you need to’,” You argued in a hush whisper. “Plus, the last time you picked me up we had tacos at the diner just down the street.”

For a while he stared at you, and so did everyone else and in all honesty, it was getting slightly embarrassing by now. Thankfully, Jay caught on your discomfort from the way you played with your fingers and bit on your lips as you waited for his reply.

“It’s okay, we’ll sort this out,” He reassured in a soft voice, grabbing the bouquet in one hand and yours in the other. “Let’s go.”

“Where are we going…?” You asked once the both of you were in the car.

The fact that one of his managers wasn’t driving you guys and that he was instead driving his Bentley for the first time in ages did explain something about what he had planned but for now, everything about this made you nervous. This was so unlike him – excluding the first year of your relationship, that is.

“We’re going to your favorite Italian restaurant,” He explained. “But I guess we should drop by your place to get you dressed up first, huh?”

“Sorry about that,” You murmured, and he couldn’t help but titter at the way you stared down at your outfit with a sigh.

You wasted no time and tossed your bag aside upon reaching home, making a beeline towards your wardrobe and immediately started sieving through your dresses. Despite the rough start, you had to admit that this was rather exciting. Heck, you couldn’t even remember the last time the both of you had a proper date night and the fact that he had taken the time to plan this amidst his schedule? Damn you were about to dress the hell up.

You hastily put on the dress that you had picked out, a fairly new one from the few that you had saved up for rare occasions like these, then scurried to the living room where Jay was waiting.

However, the sight of Jay burying his face in his hands looking absolutely worn had you somewhat stopping in your tracks.

He was seated on the couch, leaning forward with his elbows resting on his lap as he squinted at his cracked phone screen. His brows furrowed as he tapped away at what sounded like a new message notification, then brought his phone up to his ears as he listened to what probably was a demo of one of the tracks off the album. Sure, he was dressed up, absolutely stunning, but how stressed he looked was definitely not a good look on him and at this point you weren’t sure how you’d feel about dinner if his mind was going to be miles away, back in his studio.

“Wow,” He beamed upon noticing you then set his phone aside as he stood up. “You look beautiful.”

“I could say the same for you, too.”

“You okay?” He asked, cocking his head upon noticing that you seemed to be distracted in thought.

“Yeah, of course.”

“Come here, let me help you with that,” He smiled, noticing that the back of your dress was unzipped.

But as he placed his hand on the zipper, you reached around to tug on his fingers, then turned around to face him.

“What’s wrong?”

“Why don’t…we just have dinner at home today?” You suggested, observing his reaction carefully.

“Why the sudden change of mind...?”

“I don’t know,” You sighed. “I mean, you seem really caught up with work, and I love that you took the time to plan a date, but I’m not sure if I can sit through that pretending that I am not seeing for myself how exhausted you are.”

“No, no it’s fine,” He insisted. “I’m taking the night off to spend it with you.”

The both of you glanced at his phone as it beeped again and then back at each other, and you could almost tell how he was already itching to respond to it.

“I’ll cook us dinner, and we can postpone this date until after the album is released,” You told him.

He looked at you, not quite sure if he was allowed to give in to you, especially after the little episode in his studio last week that had also been due to his work.

“I’m not mad, I promise,” You giggled, reading him like a book. “Let’s stay in tonight.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah, go get your MacBook from the car and carry on with your work while I cook but all I ask for though...” You started. “Is for your undivided attention after that. I’ll cook a stew if it gives you more time.”

He exhaled deeply, taking a step towards you and pulled you in for a long embrace, “How do you always manage to make me feel better even though I’m the one who screwed up?”

“You didn’t screw up,” You said, wrapping your arms around his broad frame. “You tried, and I appreciate that.”

“That makes me feel worse...” He replied, cupping your face and stroking your left cheek with his thumb.

You leaned into his touch, smiling, “It’s no big deal, this is just one of your busy phases. Once the album’s released, I’ll have my boyfriend back. Easy.”

“I’ll make up for it, alright? I promise,” He said, then leaned in to kiss you sweetly.

“Seems like the only way to get kisses nowadays is to let you work, huh?” You taunted.

“Baby…” He whined, the littlest pout creeping to his lips. “Let’s not go back there.”

“I was kidding,” You sniggered. “Now give me another one to shut me up.”

Gen Y ep 11 thoughts/reaction

- yeees, make thanuwayu canon!

- i literally just want wayu to be happy

- one of my favorite things about this show is how mature the characters feel, like a majority of the conflicts are caused by the characters being confused or unsure of their feelings and trying to take time to work through them and this unintentionally hurts other characters, but this feels more genuine than a bunch of drama created by stupid misunderstandings and characters being petty, and yes, communication would help a lot of these problems, but it never feels like the writers are just adding things in for no other reason than ‘drama’

- anyways, back to thanuwayu and that beautiful hug and wayu’s precious smile

- that brief flash of thanu’s smile, looking so genuinely happy to have wayu in his arms

- poor phai tho, I don’t want any of my babies getting hurt

- anybody else freak out for a second when he took off his shirt in the mirror and worry that he had gotten the tattoo then were immediately relieved when his back was still bare? just me?

- i tend to prefer college shows rather than high school ones, but my favorite thing about high school thai bls is how accurately they portray high school boys, just boys goofing off, showing their sexy hips

- pls poktong just kiss and make up already, i liked you a lot better when your genre was fluff

- watching pok being all flirty and douchy just seems out of character

- 15 min in and still no markkit

- i’m glad the whole blackmailing plot has now been fully explained, but seeing sandee suddenly smirking and being an asshole is giving me the same feelings as when poktong got weirdly aggressive last ep (by feelings i mean confusion and dislike)

- i wanted phai to end up with sandee bc sandee was so cute and sweet but i don’t know if i want that anymore

- also i forgive tong a little bit for what he did (getting pok beat up not switching the test scores) knowing that he had good(ish) intentions, he still fucked up tho and did a bad thing

- i know some people hate padbok, and i also find him annoying, but ever since they dropped the idea of padbok x sab in an earlier ep, all i want is padbok redemption ark

- i really appreciate thanu just saying straight out that he has feelings for wayu, i know he struggled with it, but i like him coming to this point that’s like yes, he feels an attraction to phai, he feels drawn to him and he’s seen their poential future, but right now he has actual, solid feelings for wayu built up from their interactions over months

- what he has with phai isn’t real--it could be real, if he went down that path and choose to get closer to phai, but right now his feelings for wayu are real, so that’s what he’s choosing

- him saying they should never meet again was a little tho, spare my poor baby phai at least a little bit

- i get a dose of serotonin every time i see kit wearing mark’s gear

- the markkit is lacking this ep but they are trying to make up for it with all this good good thanuwayu content

Parent’s Pressures (Rafe x Reader)

A/N: Another Rafe fic!! I swear Rafe suddenly became everyone's favorite in the span of like a week, and I guess it goes to show how much people just love boys who have serious problems lol.

Pairing: Rafe x Reader

Word count: 3,316

Request: I love a good Midsummers fic!! Rafe and Y/N both show up to Midsummers without dates and eventually find their way to each other and end up hanging out for the rest of the night 🥺

Summary: Tired of your parents pressuring you, you decide to completely disregard them at Midsummers. You show up without your date (which they had chosen), with a dress that was definitely not what they had wanted (because the dress your mother gave you just made you seem like a fat plum), and without the hairstyle they had planned (and spent a lot of money for the hairstylist to do). Mad at your parents, you take the opportunity which is handed o you on a silver platter. Rafe Cameron. Why? Oh, because the Camerons were the business enemies of your parents.

Warnings: Underage drinking, swearing, mentions of drugs.

PARENT’S PRESSURES

“Mom!” you screeched out once the hairstylist (was her name Pauline?) turned you towards the mirror.

Your mother barged into your room, smiling at the work the stylist had done. Trying to be polite, you forced a smile until your mother was done speaking with her, and she had left the room. In her hands were three one-hundred-dollar bills.

Your mother turned to look at you through the mirror. Your smile had dropped. Now, a scowl (that your mother was sure you had practiced for years) was adorning your face.

“Don’t you look lovely?” she beamed, trying to predict what you were about to say.

“No,” you deadpanned. “My hair looks like a tower.”

And it was true. Somehow, the hairstylist had managed to make your hair stand up upon your head, adding at least half a foot to your height. Swiveling around to stare at your mother accusingly, you noticed how stiff and tight your hair felt.

“Are you trying to ruin my life?” you asked her, completely serious. You were almost sure she was. “I’m going to be the laughing stock of the party!”

Your mother was already angry at your attitude. “No, I am not trying to ruin your life. I’m just trying to make you live up to your reputation. You are a Y/L/N after all.”

You scoffed, crossing your arms across your chest, and looking towards the mirror. Trying to rile her up, you said, “Well, sometimes I wish I was a Maybank than a Y/L/N.”

Your mother gasped. “How dare you compare yourself to that boy that cleans out our boat?”

You laughed at her reaction. You didn’t really know him, but you only pressed further with the subject. “Who? JJ?”

Your mother’s offended mask was not slipping off as she turned to leave your room. However, stopping at the door she said, “Put on your dress. You’re already late.”

You imitated her under your breath. She turned to leave before entering your room once more, this time, however, she only popped her head in. “Your father and I will be leaving right now. Take your car to the country club, sweetie. Oh, and please pick up your date. He is a ravishing young man! And don’t you dare to anything tonight that will embarrass us. After all, you are the future face of the company.”

And, finally, with that, she left, throwing kisses over her shoulder. As if I actually wanted her kisses, you thought.

You rose from your chair and turned to the hanger that was placed at the far end of your room. There was a fabric hanging there, and the color almost made you want to vomit.

It wasn’t an ugly color per se, but it was the fact that your mother had picked it out to match her dress that bothered you. Why couldn’t you go wearing a color that actually suited you? Why did everything have to be about her and the company?

Sighing you tried the dress on and looked into your vanity mirror.

You looked hideous. The color was an ugly shade of purple that reminded you of a plum, and the mesh of the dress made it flare out around your legs, making you looked large. The neckline was up to your throat and you were sure if you tried to breathe in a little more air the dress would constrict you. Also, it was very itchy.

From downstairs you heard your parents close the door, assuming they had left. Almost at once, you tore your dress off your body and took all of the bobby pins from out your hair.

You speeded into your bathroom and turned on the shower, hopping in and getting rid of all of the makeup and hair products that had been splattered on you.

In a record time of five minutes and thirty-eight seconds, you hopped out. Turning towards your vanity you thought, Oh, mom, haven’t you learned? I always do everything to embarrass you.

You were finally cracking under your parent’s pressures, and you were going to ruin their night.

Grabbing some eye shadow, mascara, and eyeliner, you quickly completed the most simple look possible. Your mother had paid for her makeup artist to give you a smokey eye (which you thought looked hideous as it was colored purple just like your dress and looked like bruises). Now you looked a lot better.

Then, you grabbed onto your hairdryer and began to work on your hair. You decided to leave it in its natural state no curling, no straightening. You knew this would piss off your mother because of her many comments about how ugly your hair was and how unfortunate it was that you hadn’t gotten hers.

When it was dry enough, you turned towards your closet, stepping over the plum dress on the floor. You looked around, deciding that the perfect way to ruin your mother’s night even further was to show up in dress pants. Selecting a navy blue one from your hanger, you moved towards your tops. You knew exactly which one you wanted.

Last year, you had bought an elegant party top that your mother had hated and had forced you to take off. It was perfect for tonight.

The white top showed off a little of your midriff, and you loved it. This was for sure going to make your mom even madder.

Staring at yourself in the vanity mirror, you couldn’t help but admire your work. The top contrasted against your skin beautifully, and the pants made your butt look incredible. Your hair was messy, but not in a way that seemed undone. Your face looked clear and natural, exactly what your mother would never want.

Tonight was about you, you had decided. You were tired of always fitting into the mold your parents had planned out for you, tired of always trying to be the perfect child.

Grabbing your phone, you noticed your mother had sent you some texts, which you read while grabbing a few other things you would need for the party.

Mom: You have to pick up your date! It’s Mark Sullivan’s son!

Mom: Here’s his address and contact!

Below her text was, in fact, Brody Sullivan’s number and address. You groaned out loud.

You hated Brody. He was an absolute creep that had been trying to get with you for the past three years. He thought that making sexual jokes around you was considered flirting, and he had, more than once, insulted you in a joking matter (which you did not take as a joke). He was annoying, and you remembered countless parties where he had followed you around all night, placing a hand around your waist and trying to inconspicuously touch your butt.

I am not picking that prick up, you decided once you headed towards your car.

When you arrived at the country club, you abandoned your car and passed the keys onto the valet, who took your place behind the wheel and drove off.

You walked up the steps of the country club’s big house and squinted at the sun that was setting, its rays landing right onto your eyes.

Opening the door, you stepped in, hearing gasps from many people around you. You could only smirk.

“Y/N Y/L/N? Wearing pants? Oh, her mother will have a fit!”

“And did you see how bare her face seemed to be? That will most definitely bring her mother to her end!”

Giggling under your breath, you headed directly towards the garden, where you were sure your mother was. All you wanted to do was see her sour face.

You passed by the bar first, picking up a glass of whatever alcohol you deemed strong enough (vodka, for now), and stepped into the fairy-light lit garden.

Your mother stood at its end, her hand wrapped around your father, as she spoke on the phone with someone. You were almost positive it was Mark Sullivan stating that Brody was yet to be picked up.

Your mother’s eyes were frantically shooting left and right as she was, most probably, trying to come up with an explanation that would please Mark. When she finally turned off her phone, huffing, she turned towards you.

You smirked once again, tipping the glass towards her in a form of salute, as her eyes raked down your body. Fume was coming out of her nostrils and ears as she stalked up towards you and tugged you to a place where no one would be able to hear her scold you. God knew she wanted to keep up the image of a perfect family.

“What did you do?” she asked you, desperation in her tone. “You’re ruining everything!”

“What exactly am I ruining, mom?” you wondered. “The perfect princess image you made me wear?”

She sighed, pressing a hand onto her forehead and looking up at the sky. “Your reputation.”

You scoffed, glaring at her. “It’s a good thing I don’t really care about it, then.”

Your mother wanted to kill you. Or at least that was what it seemed she wanted to do by the look on her face. “Well, you are ruining it for your father and I. We were about to close a business deal with someone important before you stumbled in here dressed like this and drinking whatever alcohol that is!”

“And?” you questioned. “It’s not like they won’t sign the deal because of me.”

“Don’t you get it?” she asked you, rushed and desperate once again. “The company is your future! If we signed this deal, it was going to be yours to take over! And we were finally going to be better than the Camerons!”

Now you were mad. “I don’t care about the Camerons!” you nearly screamed out. “And can’t you see that the company is clearly not what I want for my future?”

“What?” she questioned. “Don’t be ridiculous. Of course it’s what you want!”

You shook your head. “No, mom, it’s not. Why can’t you see that?”

Your mother’s face turned hard again (you had lost count how many times she had frowned in the past argument).

“Well, even if it isn’t what you want, it’ll be what you get.”

You scoffed and tried to turn away.

“And you better go home and put the dress I bought you on!”

You gave her a blank look before saying, “No.”

Your mother sighed. “Well then, at least mingle with some of the people your father wants you to meet. They’re all very powerful people and we will finally be able to beat the Camerons!”

You groaned before shouting over your shoulder, “Not happening. And stop talking about the Camerons!”

With that, you left your mother standing alone on the porch.

You turned the corner and almost bumped into a large body. He was tall and buff, a lot bigger than you even with your heels. He grabbed onto your arms to keep you from falling and spilling your drink. Looking up you stared into the most entrancing pair of green eyes you had ever seen, and looked down to the softest smile that could ever be produced.

“I’m sorry,” he said. “I was just heading towards the door to get inside.”

You smirked, recognizing the person in front of you. You still had one more way to ruin your mother’s night. And he was standing right in front of you. Rafe. Rafe Cameron.

“Oh, it’s okay,” you said, a smile taking over your lips. “I was heading inside as well.”

“Great!” he replied. “Let’s go in, then.”

With that, he took your hand and led you to the bar where he ordered a glass of whiskey. Turning towards you he said, “Aren’t you Y/N Y/L/N?”

You smiled a little and looked down. “Yeah, that’s me.”

He stretched his hand out. “Well, I’m Rafe. And from what I understand, our parents don’t get along at all.”

You laughed at this. “Yeah, well, I’m not much like my parents,” you stated. You hated being compared to them.

“Then it’s good I’m not much like my parents either.”

Now you actually, truly, laughed, and Rafe joined you. After sobering up, he asked you, “Didn’t you stand up Brody Sullivan tonight?”

You nodded softly, looking down at the glass in your hands. “Yeah, yeah,” you confirmed.

He smirked, “Well, that’s kind of badass. That dude’s a creep.”

You looked up at Rafe’s face again, noticing how his eyes were completely trained on you. You smiled.

“Does this mean you don’t have a date?”

You nodded, biting your lower lip between your teeth.

“Well, if that’s the case, would you like to dance?”

You placed your cup on the bar and put your hand through his. He drifted towards the dance floor outside, not letting go of your hand until you were face to face with each other.

Dancing with him was fun. More fun than anything you had done in years. He was thinking the same thing.

He thought you were pretty ever since he knew about your existence. The day his father had mentioned to Rafe that the Y/L/N were the Camerons enemies and that you were not to be talked to, he had noticed you.

Of course, you all went to the same school. You were a year younger than him, but everyone in the Kook community knew everyone, which meant it was easy to determine that you were Y/N Y/L/N.

The day he saw you on the playground he thought you were cute. However, he had never approached you under his father’s orders.

As the years went on, he had a strange longing to meet you, but was unsure of how to do so. How to present himself, how to approach you.

And then, like a blessing, you had bumped into him tonight. And as he held onto your arms, about to yell at you about watching where you were going, he noticed it was you. And his heart had softened.

Rafe had already assessed your outfit the minute you had walked into the country club, but seeing you up close was different. He hadn’t noticed that your navy pants had a small design in them, or that your beautiful top showed a little bit of skin. He hadn’t noticed that you were, in fact, wearing a bit of makeup, or that your hair looked more natural and free than ever.

He did notice it all now, dancing around with you. Joking around with you.

Both you and Rafe could feel your parent’s stares on your backs, but you enjoyed it gladly. You were having so much fun with him that now you only wanted to hang out with him, not necessarily to piss your mother off, but more as a way to just be with him.

Drink after drink after drink you downed together, the night only continued to stretch on and the smiles on your faces never seemed to fade. Not even when a boy that was your age had approached Rafe and whispered in his ear, “You got any coke?”

Rafe was so entranced with you he had no intention of leaving you to do drugs. So he shook his head and continued to move around the party with you. And anyway, you gave him the same feelings cocaine did. No, scratch that, the feeling you gave him was better.

When you both grew tired of moving around so much you took a seat at an empty table.

“I’ve had a lot of fun tonight,” you confessed to him. He smiled at that. He felt the same way.

“Me too. We should go out together after this,” he suggested nervously, not knowing how you would reply.

You blushed lightly and smiled at the words that had brushed past his lips. “Yeah. I’d like that.”

Rafe smiled back and took your hand in his before tugging it slightly. You looked up at him, noticing that he was cocking his head towards the beach. “Let’s take a walk.”

You nodded, taking your heels off and discarding them under the table. You grabbed onto his hand and followed his strong steps. Once you were near the water you began to walk up and down the beach, conversation flowing through Rafe and you.

All of a sudden a large wave crashed onto the shore and enveloped your feet beneath its waters. It was cold, but your body was hot and the difference in temperature relaxed you.

Shocked at the contact you had shrieked, but then you embraced the water and stayed there. Rafe had managed to back away from the ocean.

“Hey,” he called out. “Get back here! It must be so cold!”

You only laughed. “No, it feels great!”

Watching you jump around the water and dancing to the music that could be heard from the party, Rafe had the urge to join you. He struggled to take his shoes and socks off and then ran to join you. He surprised you by throwing you over his strong shoulder causing you to let out a small shout and a boisterous laugh. Giggling together, you spent some while messing around in the water, splashing each other and laughing at the other’s antics.

Growing tired you headed back onto the beach, sitting down on the sand. You lay back, feeling the sand on your back and through your fingers as you stared at the sky.

“Did you know,” you spoke out breaking the silence, “that everything spins around the North Star?”

He laughed before laying next to you and putting an arm around your shoulder. He pressed you into him, and you gladly accepted his warmth.

“That sounds like something Sarah would know,” he replied, mentioning hi younger sister.

“Then she’s a smart girl.”

Rafe nodded before pointing towards the stars himself. “Do you see that star? The one that is sort of flashing?”

You nodded. “The one that has a bit of a red tint to it?”

Rafe nodded this time. “That’s Mars. When I was younger I imagined myself being the first astronaut to reach there.”

You laughed, imagining a small, blond, green-eyed boy, with a helmet on his head and looking up at the stars.

“That’s cute,” you mentioned. Both of the smiles that had been etched on your faces disappeared as you both turned towards each other. Staring into the depths of Rafe’s eyes made you dizzy, and butterflies - no, birds - erupted in your stomach.

Your faces were only separated by an inch, and you decided that you couldn’t deal with this tension. You closed the space between your lips.

Fireworks erupted. Not only inside of your stomach but in the sky above you as well. Pulling away from Rafe you looked up into the sky. The country club had really gone all out this year. Green and golden and red and blue lit up the sky in a way that was supposed to be captivating. However, you and Rafe were more captivated by each other. Smiling at him, you pressed your lips to his once again.

They were soft and gentle, and you couldn’t remember when was the last time someone had kissed you this way. Or if someone had ever kissed you that way.

His hands moved to your waist and squeezed lightly, and yours remained latched around his neck and playing with his hair. Your exposed skin was covered with goosebumps as he continued to kiss you.

Pulling out for air, you pressed your foreheads together. Your gleaming faces were almost as bright as the fireworks above you.

“Hey,” you said to him.

“Hey,” he answered back. Then he pulled you to him again and kissed you.

You stayed at the beach, attached by your lips, long after the firework show in the sky had ended. But it didn’t matter. You had your own firework show going on inside you.

Wave 2 Diary of Clawdeen Wolf

September 7th

I had my first Advanced Creature Economics class today and my head is already spinning. I thought I was just going to be learning about supply and demand. I had no idea that there was so much theory involved. If I had known AC Econ was going to be this detailed… I would have taken it anyway. I have to know this stuff cause when I start my own fashion empire I won’t be able to afford to hire monsters who are experts in this stuff and when I can afford to hire experts I need to know that what they’re telling me is the truth not just what I want to hear. Too bad Ghoulia isn’t in this class I would love to be able to pick her brain on this stuff.

September 12th

Most days I feel like I could drink wolf’s bane tea from a silver chalice and ask for a refill. Today was not one of those days; although it started out like it would be. Howleen had a creepover at a friend’s house – amazingly enough she has them – and Clawd had an early morning practice so I had the shower and hot water all to myself. The new pair of shoes I’d saved for, and ordered online, arrived yesterday after school so I was going to get to wear them today. The outfit I picked was perfectly matched to the shoes and I should have gone back to bed and declared the day a success. But I didn’t. I got to school and I’m showing off my new shoes when I noticed that I somehow missed a large patch of fur on the back of my left calf. No problem right? It happens. Especially with how much I have to shave. So I always bring an extra razor with me… except today… okay still no problem cause I always keep a backup in my locker. Only this backup is as dull as Cleo’s stories about her royal life in Egypt. Class starts in five minutes and if I’m late I get detention. Ghoulia tells me it’s hardly noticeable but to me it feels like I have a sweater growing on my calf. I run to the bathroom with my razor and Draculaura comes with me. Now I have two rules about shaving.

Always use a sharp razor.

Never get in a hurry.

I broke them both and of course I ended up cutting myself which is no big deal… usually, but this time Draculaura saw the blood and fainted. I spun around to catch her and when I did the heel on my right shoe snapped. Now I’m holding a razor in one hand, I have blood running down the back of my leg, and every time Draculaura wakes up she immediately faints again. At this point in the chaos one of the alley brats I mean werecats, Purrsephone I think, walks in and immediately starts yowling “She’s killing her!” It’s the first time I’ve ever seen Headless Headmistress Bloodgood have to use her nightmare for crowd control. Eventually everything got sorted out although my day ended up with me being barefoot, bandaged and banished to detention. Yay me. :-(

September 14th

I’ve finally broken in my new pair of soccer spikes. I get strange looks from the monsters on other teams when I wear them because they have open toes. I grew up playing barefooted and I like the feel of the ball on the tops of my feet. I would still play barefooted if the rules didn’t say I had to wear shoes “for safety” – whatever. Okay, so I found these “regulation” spikes that let me play by the rules and still play comfortable. I think they were made for monsters that grow horns on the tops of their feet because there is this big open spot on top which I’ve been able to modify to my liking. I suppose I would worry about some monster stepping on my feet if I thought any of them could catch me ;)

October 7th

I don’t know what Clawd did to pull Spectra’s chain but she’s been telling any monster that’ll listen he still has feelings for Cleo. It may or may not be true – gotta consider the source of the info – but any thoughts I might have had about having dealt with my hard feelings towards Cleo were definitely wrong. I do know this; Her Royal Annoyance and I are about to have a talk and it is going to happen sooner rather than later – I’ll bet my favorite pumps on that.

October 12th

Can some monster please explain to me why I have to write an essay on my heritage when I have an older brother who’s already written one? I asked Headless Headmistress Bloodgood if I could just sign my name at the bottom of Clawd’s but she insisted that I write my own because “although the horse and rider travel the same road together each sees it from a different perspective.” I hate it when she trots out that horse philosophy. Of course Clawd wrote his essay first and took all the easy stuff that every monster already knows. How about this? Werewolves are pack monsters and from the time we are born we’re part of a huge extended family. Aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and grandparents are always around. We have our own language, which doesn’t have a word for privacy, that is spoken only in the presence of other pack members… I won’t even break this rule… and when an alpha from one pack greets an alpha from another pack, the first says, “The pack is strength” and the other replies, “The pack is life.” I could go on about the traditions, pack rivalries, the passage to alpha status, blah, blah, blah. Maybe then I should write something from a totally different perspective like about how I consider my friends as part of my pack too. Draculaura, Frankie, Lagoona, Ghoulia, Cleo… Cleo and Deuce; that’s a vampire, lab creation, sea monster, zombie, mummy and Gorgon – maybe not a pack by birth but definitely a pack nonetheless. We have traditions, rivalries, our own freakishly fab, scary cool language and of course everyone knows who the pack alpha is… Ghoulia ;)

October 13th

Never thought I would actually be sitting in my room wishing that my hair would grow faster… I’ve had a lot of hairstyles but never one so bad that I had to shave it all off and start over. I heard Howleen asking Clawd if she could borrow some batteries for her camera. If that little weredork takes a picture of me I’m going to duct tape her to the bottom of her bed.

October 16th

Frankie and Draculaura bought me a scare package at the Maul to help cheer me up about my hair, which was really scary sweet of them. Of course they wouldn’t have known about my hair if Clawd hadn’t told them. Almost makes me feel bad I brought out the family picture albums and showed them shots of him as a cub… almost.

October 18th

Dear Clawd,

Thanks for the real story on what happened between you and Cleo – finally. You know I totally respect that you are an honorable monster who keeps his word but I just spent an entire year being angry about something I shouldn’t have. I will take some of the responsibility for not asking you directly about the situation but I guess I just made a monster assumption about Cleo and ran with it. Don’t get me wrong, I still think she’s arrogant, demanding and an absolute hearse wreck when it comes to her fashion sense, but I guess I’ve got to give her credit for not adding two-timer to that list. OH MY GHOUL! Howleen “borrowed” my favorite corduroy jacket and wiped her nose on the sleeve – so disgusting!!! I swear sometimes she acts like she was raised by humans. Honestly I don’t even know how we’re related. Somewhere my real sister, the fashionable one who would rather wear a pair of shoes THAN CHEW THEM, is waiting for her fairy god monster to switch her out with this furry gargoyle thing that has obviously taken her place.

For the ask meme thing, can you do Penny, Ben, Merula, Charlie and Skye?

Well, it turned out rather lengthy. I was even considering splitting it to separate posts, but I don’t know… I ended up putting it under the cut. If anyone actually cares about it and prefers similar analyses to be in shorter posts, let me know!

Penny

First impression:

“A popular blonde girl? Well, all right, I guess.”

Impression now:

“Why. Are. You. Everywhere?”

So yeah, I’m among people tired of seeing Penny in almost every side quest while also being very prominent in the main story. The difference is that, for me, it started already at some point in year 4.

I’m not saying that she’s a bad character or anything, but I just feel like her potential is terribly wasted for the sake of putting her on the screen, even without rhyme or reason. One thing that bothers me is that Penny is flawed – which on its own is a really GOOD thing. The problem is that it’s not being explored but usually just excused by circumstances instead. Penny is impulsive and she performs badly under pressure, but we see it mostly in situations like after Scarlett’s death, after Beatrice went missing/got trapped, after Merula stole her potion – and it’s never addressed after. And I believe it should, especially in situations like the last case I mentioned. Sure, it’s understandable that Penny wanted to get justice and recognition she deserved, but also the fact that she went straight to making someone impersonate a professor… feels a bit extreme. What I’m trying to say is that it’d be beneficial for Penny to make her flaws more “part of her”, in a way. For example, when we were considering both Penny or Charlie for the Portrait Vault, I wanted someone to say that Penny indeed might want to help because of personal involvement, but she also performs badly when strong emotions are involved.

Another thing is that even the thing which should be Penny’s main strengths (gossiping, “personal network”) are almost meaningless for the main story. Like, I don’t recall any situations where she used her connections to learn something about Jacob from older students etc. It’d be great to see her researching Rakepick alongside Tulip during year 4, too, yet Tulip was doing it alone. There was one situation in Y4Ch4:

… but even if you say “yes”, it’s never brought up again. Of course, using Penny’s gossiping more effectively means more Penny in the game, and we don’t really need that. So it’s rather the idea for how her character should’ve been written from the beginning: remove her from side quests which do absolutely nothing for her character, and use what you gave her from the start. Because currently, Penny feels kind of empty…

Favorite moment:

I’m not sure if I have one, to be honest. It’s not that I hate all of them, but none is particularly special for me. I did like our conversation from Y6Ch11 about Beatrice which showed that Penny can work on accepting changes:

Too bad that it was quickly thrown to trash since everyone loses their minds because of that stupid escapee, so…

Idea for a story:

I don’t want more stories with Penny so I don’t really have ideas for one.

More seriously, though, it’d probably be something involving acknowledgement of Penny’s flaws and working on improvement. Something that would expand the scene I mentioned above.

Unpopular opinion:

I feel like a lot of things I discussed already are unpopular opinions… Still, here’s something else:

Penny’s hairstyle is ugly. There, I said it. I know it’s silly, but it bothers me ever since I saw it for the first time in the game. I can agree that Penny is a stereotypically pretty girl, but the hairstyle kind of ruins the whole design. It’s just… so unnecessarily complicated. Like, it’s 4 in 1: hair down, two braids on the sides, a braid on bangs, and a knot on a back. Just pick two, it’d be much better! I can’t help but think that it was a “bring your child to work” day at Jam City, and some 5-years-old was like: “I want her to have this, and this, and this… and this!”. The hairstyle doesn’t have to be super complex to be impressive and draw attention.

Favorite relationship:

Hm, probably with Chiara. The first Halloween TLSQ is a hot mess, but the relationship between those two girls, how Penny overcome her fear, was a really nice element.

Favorite headcanon:

Penny having her own Apothecary at Diagon Alley or in Hogsmeade. I imagine she’d have many propositions to become a professor etc., but I think she’d like to have her own place where she can do her experiments, maybe give advice to her customers. She’d probably be in touch with Liz because of the ingredients (I can see “no creatures were hurt” labels). Oh, and with Chiara too, perhaps to help her with the Lycanthropy cure.

Ben

First impression:

“Either you have a great story or you’ll be used as comic relief.”

Impression now:

“Stop using my boy’s story as comic relief!”

Of course, that’s an oversimplification. But there is something about it that Ben was never really presented… seriously. First, it was his anxiety which was usually being exaggerated, and I assume it was partially to make it look funny. It was only during classes when we could find out that Ben’s father is an actuary, that there’s a ghost at his house and Ben’s parents didn’t believe him about it, that he was bullied in his Muggle school. All of that are very real reasons for his insecurity to develop. And I think that we should’ve talked more about that. Because now, people are used to Ben not being serious, and when they see lines like:

… they also don’t take him seriously. Hell, I’m not sure the writers take him seriously when I see something like that.

I really don’t mind New Ben, but I do think it could’ve been much better executed. Especially when it comes to what led to his change – which brings us back to how terribly bad Y5Ch30 was…

Idea for a story:

Any story explaining some of many mysteries Ben holds.

Unpopular opinion:

I’m not sure if it’s an unpopular opinion, but I think that whether or not you (mostly) trusted Ben in the previous years, it should’ve had a bigger impact on the relationship between him and MC in year 6. I’m also really bothered that we’re not getting an option to tell him that he was brave even in the past. I know that a lot of situations showing Ben’s courage were optional, but still. I’d like to remind him that he was already protecting his friends when he took the spell on himself during the attack at the beginning of year 5, or when he disarmed Rowan put under Imperius. Those are constant points in the story.

Favorite relationship:

Definitely with Charlie. I’m really upset that the writers didn’t pay much attention to that, and we only got glimpses of Charlie being supportive of Ben. Still, it was really endearing and enough to steal my heart.

Also, I want to mention here the relationship between Ben and Rowan, because it’s another thing that I wish would be elaborated more. I mean, I understand that it was overshadowed in later years by Rowan being suspicious, but I feel like what we’re kind of forgetting is that they’re part of the original trio: MC, Rowan, and Ben. I’m not including Penny here, because yes, she was there since year 1, but she’s a popular girl, a friend of everyone. The trio was a group of awkward kids, not exactly fitting to the rest. And while Rowan was always closer to MC, they cared about Ben as well (I believe they did all that time and still do). When Ben went missing, Rowan was really upset:

I really hoped we’ll get more of them growing back closer after Y5Ch19, but… yeah.

Favorite headcanon:

Ben becoming a healer. He’d be great at this, not only because he’s a powerful wizard, but also because his patients will appreciate his calming attitude – that is when Ben overcomes his own trauma.

Merula

First impression:

“Well, I guess you have to be in that game.”

Impression now:

“Well, I guess you have to be in that game.”

I’m not even being sarcastic. My current opinion on Merula is pretty much the same as it was at the beginning: I don’t really care. There were some changes on the way, of course, from “Woah, you’re an intense one, huh?”, to “Can you just leave me alone?”, to some small hope in year 4 that she might be turn into something interesting, to finally end with total disappointment after our meeting at the Three Broomsticks in Y5Ch2.

I never really had high hopes for Merula, simply because the whole “enemies to friends” and whatnot is not really my thing. I might end up liking it, but it’s not something I’m seeking for on my own. So I was more like: “Yeah, we’ll see how it goes since I’m already here anyway”. And… it didn’t really go anywhere. Some months ago I wrote a post about Merula not changing throughout the story (you can find it here), and sadly, I think it’s still true. And personally, at this point, I just accepted that Jam City can’t handle her arc properly. But I also know that they think that they need such character to be included, just because.

Favorite moment:

When Merula was defeated by Torvus and MC looked really happy about it (even though I know it was likely just a coincidence).

Seriously though, I don’t think I have one.

Idea for a story:

The story I really wish to see – and which is crucial for Merula’s redemption arc to even begin – is Merula acknowledging things she’s done to people, where she apologies for that and at least try to treat them better. I’m talking here not only about MC, but also about the others (it could be actually more important, in my opinion). You know, something similar to “A Christmas Carol” might’ve been interesting. Now, I’m talking more about the idea, I don’t think Merula should get the whole Christmas quest for herself – although it’d be more satisfying and meaningful than taking her to the Burrow.

And make it part of the main story, not some side quest lost in the timeline!

Unpopular opinion:

The opinions on Merula are so polarised that I guess everything might be considered unpopular. So hm…

All right, here’s the thing. I can’t really feel sorry for Merula about what happened in the Portrait Vault. Not because I think she deserved it or anything – absolutely not. I don’t want her to suffer either physically or emotionally. But the reason why I am not emotional about THAT scene is because it was just so… pointless and stupid. It doesn’t make sense for anything.

First of all, I can’t see it as Rakepick betraying her trust since she didn’t use her admiration for her own benefit at all. Like… ugh. If Merula didn’t like Rakepick at that point, it’d change nothing. Also, what’s the point of it for Merula’s character anyway? The game tries to tell us that she regressed because of that, but there was little to no progress, to begin with. She treated people badly before, she does it after - they’re the same picture. It didn’t even make Merula realise that she shouldn’t idolize powerful people only because they’re powerful – she’s doing the exact same thing with her “crush” on Jacob!

Favorite relationship:

Don’t really have one. To be fair, we don’t know much about Merula’s relationships. And from what we know, I’d say they’re more or less toxic, so I just can’t really call any of them my favourite. That being said, I’m quite curious about her relationship with Diego. I wouldn’t call it a friendship from what we’ve seen, but she was treating him… decently? And is it even a thing anymore? Yet another thing that could’ve been explored more.

Favorite headcanon:

Again, don’t really have one.

Charlie

First impression:

“What have I done to deserve your support?”

Impression now:

“What have you done, my boy, to be treated so terribly by the writers?”

Let’s start by saying that I still think that Charlie is arguably the most supportive of our friends overall. It’s not that the others are not, it’s just that Charlie’s role in year 4 is very prominent to me – especially when we keep in mind that Bill told us that Charlie wanted to help us already at the end of year 3, so before we (and Charlie) could’ve known that it’ll involve the Forbidden Forest. But then… something happened in year 5, and I just don’t get it. I’m still upset that they wrote him as if he had never anything to do with the Cursed Vaults if you take him to the Portrait Vault. Then, he had a pretty nice moment in year6 when he offered his help with Trelawney’s prophecy:

… and then we had a recent situation with Ben. And to be frank, I get Charlie here. In fact, it was probably healthy for him to finally “snap”. Because when you think about it, Charlie and MC have one important thing in common: they deal with emotions by ignoring them. After Ben’s attack in year 4, Charlie focused first on helping us with the Forest Vault, then on helping Ben. Right after the Portrait Vault, he focused on Bill. In year 6, he focused on his brothers, he immediately caught the opportunity to focus on helping MC with the prophecy. The only reason why he told us about wanting to leave for Romania was that MC wanted to meet with him. So yeah, Charlie has plenty suppressed emotions – just like MC does.

There’s also another problem with that scene, in my opinion. You see, while you can say: “Well, he knew what he was signing for by befriending MC”, and I can agree that he should know that… I don’t think he does. Or rather the writers don’t acknowledge that. It’s something I’m noticing more and more often since the end of year 5 (not only with Charlie). Because when you look at what Charlie said, she referenced only that: Rakepick’s betrayal and the present events. And it simply doesn’t make sense. Why it’s the escapee that he’s worried about? He should be worried that even with Rakepick gone, someone might be controlled and forced to hurt their friends. That HE can be forced to hurt his own brothers or MC. He could’ve both blamed MC for that AND be scared about that. It’d be so much more powerful and meaningful, and just cohesive with the story. And I’m just… so upset about it.

Favorite moment:

Of course, the “Egg Hunt” SQ.

Seriously, it was so good. The ending is adorable, but I really like it as the whole. It treated Charlie really well. It used his passion for dragons, but also showed him as a good friend, and we got a glimpse of his resourcefulness when it comes to earning money, for example (and his tendency to do crimes!).

Idea for a story:

Anything showing more of his personality. He’s going to basically represent the Order of the Phoenix abroad – show us this charisma. There were already some moments for that in the story, but we need more. Charlie is not only about dragons.

Unpopular opinion:

Hm, it’s sort of related to what I already said about his character being changed in year 5. You see, many people claim that Charlie was ruined in year 5 in general, from the start – and I can’t agree with that. It only happened in the second half. Compare those two scenes, for instance.

Y5Ch13 (if you’re a prefect, there’s no middle line):

And his weird concerns about going to the Prefects’ bathroom by the end of the year:

I don’t know, it almost feels like two different characters to me. Another example is the scene where we met Duncan.

Charlie’s fans complained that he didn’t react here, and he only thought about a dragon at the end. But listen, here’s a thing… Yes, it was really sweet that Bill went into defensive mode and all, but Duncan is a freaking ghost. He couldn’t do anything to MC. So yeah, of course, Charlie was focused on the passion of his life when there was no real danger. And the fact that he didn’t react to Duncan “insulting” Jacob – well, neither did Bill, because it was a conversation between Duncan and MC, and that’s how it’s supposed to be. Also, the chapter ends there, but you know what happens in the next one when we go to meet Torvus? Charlie is there with us, even though we didn’t even ask him (we were with Tulip and Merula when we decided to go there)! And that’s because the Forbidden Forest is where something dangerous might actually happen.

Just because Charlie was less present in year 5 and sometimes showed that he thinks also about himself doesn’t mean that he became a worse friend to MC or cared less about them.

Favorite relationship:

It has to be with Bill. Their bond is sweet and their interactions are often hilarious.

Favorite headcanon:

I really like headcanon about Charlie having magical dragon tattoos which move. I added to it a little that he got the first tattoo with Bill when they went together on a holiday trip around Europe. I wanted it to happen after Bill’s graduation, but it doesn’t really go along with the events of the Portrait Vault in my mind, so maybe it’d be after Charlie’s graduation.

Skye

First impression:

“Are you sure you’re not related to Oliver Wood?”

I mean, they do have a pretty similar mindset about Quidditch…

Impression now:

Honestly, I can’t say much here. I quit the Quidditch storyline right before the first match, and while I took a peek on the plot right after this and the Comet TLSQ, my experience was somewhat limited. I can say that I definitely enjoyed her the least from the new characters. I suppose she’s just not my type of a person.

Favorite moment:

As I said, I didn’t really like interacting with her, but her scenes with Orion were pretty entertaining (I know I’m cheating because it’s more about Orion than Skye, but shhh…).

Idea for a story:

Again, I don’t care about Quidditch so I didn’t give much thought to that. But I suppose it’d be interesting to see the Quidditch gang interacting with the regular gang (though I’m fairly certain it won’t happen).

Unpopular opinion:

I don’t really have an unpopular opinion on Skye, but here’s one for the Quidditch content in general: it’s pretty boring. I’m kind of biased since I wasn’t interested in that addition, to begin with, but I gave it a shot. The characters are all right, the gameplay mechanisms are not the worst for a mobile game, but overall? I’m disappointed.

First of all, it doesn’t even feel like it’s about Quidditch. I wanted them to at least pretend that some sports strategic are involved. For example, before the first match, I’d like to hear that the opposing team has a new keeper so it might be good to choose a move based on distraction etc. Anything. It always brings down to the question: “Which new character you like the best?”. And speaking of characters, while I can agree that they are well-written (mostly), I really don’t think they were needed. I’d like it much more if the time spent on their creation was dedicated to developing the ones from the main story. Finally, I wish Quidditch chapters were being released along with the main chapters, simply because with the current schedule, year 6 will last forever. It’s not really a problem for me personally, but I just don’t want to think about people whining twice as much as it was with year 5. Not to mention forgetting the plot…

The Quidditch addition was hyped as if it was the best thing to happen since the release of the game. But in my opinion, it might be the worst.

Oh, and I just thought about something more Skye related. The way they presented Parkin’s Pincer? It’s a damn foul, and nobody can tell me otherwise. You’re basically throwing off another player of their broom. Seriously, what the hell?

(I know canceling orders is frowned upon, but in our defense it was a salad and it was taking more than 30 minutes lmao, plus at that time we were already finished with our main courses.)

If we were ignorant about the bill we would have paid an extra ₱250 (~$5). What is your favorite color combination? In terms of outfits, black and white or gray and light pink. Is there a certain routine you have to | like to follow? I have driven on the same exact highway lanes everyday for the last three years going to school. My friend Andrew hates this girl from our school newspaper because she is a horrible editor and leader, and he’s given me more than enough evidence to prove it. Okay with this idk how I would do it. I post three new hairs every month. Some of my old hairs I know have glitches and I would not want to include them. I am going to try to finish some revamps/updates of hairs and then see about a giant .zip file and maybe a merged package of all my hairs.
