Stargate Anniversary Fest

@melagan and I (@goddess47) are pleased to announce the beginning of the Stargate Anniversary Fest.

You may or may not know that the first episode of Stargate Atlantis (Rising) was first shown on July 16, 2004. Twenty years ago.

AND! October 28, 1994 will be the 30th anniversary of Stargate the original movie.

We're going to celebrate it all! From now until October 31, 2024, we're hoping you join us in celebrating Stargate in all its forms.

The biggest event of the summer is the Anniversary Bingo, but there will be more opportunities for everyone as time goes on. But Bingo takes more time (for the completionist), so we're starting now with the bingo.

Merlin moves to Camelot after the death of his mother to help his Uncle Gaius in his Apothecary and to get a fresh start away from his small village where no one liked his magic. In Camelot, however, most people hate magic too. But why? What happened here that made everyone hate magic so quickly? What is Gaius keeping from him? When Merlin is forced to seek refuge in an abandoned mansion a month after his arrival due to being chased by magic hating men, he is thrust into a world that will turn his request for a ‘new start’ on its head.

I'm planning on going ahead with the Venom prompt fest ahead of the third movie. I'm curious about how long people think a prompt fest should last.

I plan on allowing prompts to be submitted until one or two weeks before the end of the fest and fills to be posted until the night before the movie's release. The length of the fest would change when the fest starts, ie. a three month long fest would start in August and go through October 25th.

A fest for the most self indulgent of fics.  You know that idea you said you'd never write because it was too ridiculous?  This is your sign to do it.

The Fest

This fest is open to any and all ideas, but it celebrates those you’ve been a little hesitant about writing.  Bring your silliest, rarest, or most unconventional idea and have fun with it!  There are no restrictions on content, it’s all up to you.

The Rules

- Fics must be 1k in length and art should be at least 30 minutes of work. - Fics can be posted in chapters but must be complete at the time of posting. - Any topic is allowed as long as it is properly tagged and warned. - Be creative, be cringe, and be free.
