Oh, if I don't love you for unloving me so marvellously, what's even the point!

It takes eight minutes and twenty seconds, for light to reach the earth. And I keep holding, to all this sun sized love, in the fist of my hand, across the moon like distance between us. And I wonder, how long will it take you, to look up at the sky? ...I'm waiting for Eight minutes and twenty seconds, waiting maybe...till forever.

Yes, they say some infinities are bigger than other infinities, and that I'm standing between the lub and dub of your very dear heart, bargaining for a lifetime of love in those 0.5 seconds...
~simran, chips of poetry, peeling off from walls of my mind.🌼
PS- one pump of heart, i.e one cardiac cycle takes around 0.8 second. And between the two heart sounds, there's a normal gap of 0.5 seconds. Just my physiology notes. But can you imagine, half a second... Just that.

Would they bake a cupcake with you in the middle of the night? Would they refuse to move to the other side of the sofa and pull you to sit on their lap instead? Would they wait for like forever until you get your makeup done right? Would they give you flower pots instead of bouquets? Would they nod at you while you explain them, the biochemistry of human body, the steps of appendectomy and get your medical lessons right ? Would they read your guilty pleasure fanfics and recreate all the scenes that you thought could never be real?
Okay but would you share the last part of your cornetto with them? would they let you annotate their favourite books in any way you want? Would you lend your hand to let them draw messy henna designs on it? Would they oil your hair?

There are different ways in which people part...
Finally I shooed off the ghost of Plath whirpooling in my head... Here's a glimpse of it...
There are different ways in which people part
Like how the sun dips down, giving farewell crimson kisses to the sky, as it is meant to be.
Like how my favourite song drips from my lips, and is now on yours
and now you whisper it softly
into another pair of ears.
There are different ways in which people part,
Like how the washed wave toddle back to the ocean
after making out with the gravels, destined to be at shore.
And ohh ,how the gravels crave,
for a pearl between their crevices, sometimes just for a seashell as a memoire.
There are different ways in which people part,
like how the scarlet tint on my lips fades
as the night grows deep
and after I dab some of it on my lover's cheek.
Like how one of two stars falls from the sky, for a pair of eyes wishes upon it.
There are differnet ways in which people part,
like how my favourite pair of ripped jeans, now slumbers deep in my closet, which i outgrew.
Like how I discard the tunic gifted by my mother, which fits yet suffocates my insides
Like how the straps of my black dress slips down my arms, now pooled at my feet, so raw and so in love.
There are different ways in which people part,
Like how a boy on a swing, sways forward, away from the his Dad's hands, still in air to catch him as he returns back.
Like how the taste of my favourite pasta stays in my mouth, even after I gulp it with a gourmet smile.
Like returning home from a vacation.
Like leaving home for a mission.
There are different ways in which people part,
Like how an irreversible chemical reaction, seperates a white cloud above, upon a purple sea in a test tube.
Like exhaling out air 16 times for every minute, just to survive.
Like a disease getting cured,
Like the suffering ending.
Like a bruise healing.
Like a bandage being ripped off.
There are different ways in which people part, And sometimes they go through your skin and come out from the other side and they walk away, never looking back, ever.
And it all hurts the same.
And it all relieves the same.
~Me.

so something i’ve noticed:
in red white and royal blue, henry and alex bring up “your song” by elton john often and it’s kinda their song.
in they both die at the end, “your song” by elton john shows up too and it’s also one of their songs.
alex and henry get to make history whilst rufus and mateo wish they had history.
and on this episode of ‘i need therapy’ -
