Just read The Two Towers, and right now I am absolutely obsessed with the fact that l, when the company encounters the Riders of Rohan, Eomer is like:

"You're *who*? That's not real, that's a legend."

"Wait, the Lady of the Lake is real and not a fairytale?"

"What the fuck is a hobbit?"

And later when the Riders encounter Ents, everyone is like, "Trees can talk? What the FUCK?"

Look at that face in the picture. That is the face of a person that does not believe any of this fantasy shit. Absolute normal person energy, and I absolutely love this.

This painting tells the story of the Phoenician princess Europa, whom Jupiter captured by disguising himself as a bull. It is shown as a triumphal journey, yet the Girls uncomfortable posture and the penetrating, direct posture of the bull tell us that it is actually an act of unusual brutality.

Hansburg

The town of Hansburg has had a storied history in its short span of life. Some sixty years before the present,  it was known as Kemmerling Castle, the vestige of a wealthy man who had bought up a lot of land in the area and used it to build up large orchards of apple trees. Around that time, sixty years ago, the lands of Nidoria and Esterlight had been struck by a nasty famine, and all the servants were starving.  The lord of the castle, Theodorus Kemmerling, happened to be a cruel man, as he had a large storage of food, refusing to share this with the people around him.

When society around the castle was at the brink of destruction, with the poor people steadily dying and the rich safe, the servants had had enough and - under the leadership of one of Lord Kemmerling's vassals,  a man named Hans - broke into the castle, murdered the king, and took over. They distributed the food to the people on the lands, and when news reached the main cities of Esterlight and Nidor about what happened,  the citizens in and around the castle even managed to stand their ground and managed to legitimize their actions - and the new rule around the castle.

Since that moment, what was named Kemmerling Castle would be called Hansburg - the castle being a Village in itself, every room housing families, with more houses being built around the structure. The former vassal, Hans, would rule peacefully for sixty years, profiting off the Apple orchards and sharing those profits with his subjects.

...that is, until a disgruntled wizard with a death wish had the crazy idea to revive his dead parents in the area.
