The more I research and open my eyes to the current climate crisis, the more often it leaves me overwhelmed, angry, anxious, and helpless. The past months I educated myself more and more on what I, as an individual, can do to have a more positive impact on global warming and reduce my carbon footprint. I am nooooowhere near perfect, but I am more than willing to change my daily habits to align what I believe in with my actions. To give my feelings space and to use my small platform to raise awareness, I ended up doing what I can do best, I wrote a poem about climate change - and this is it (swipe left) Feel free to share it if you feel the same 💛 
- Dear politicians- Dear politicians, Isn't it all of us that love walks in the forests and to breathe fresh air in the morning sun? Isn't it all of us that love days on the beach watching blue waves crushing on yellow sand? Isn't it all of us that love to know the furry companion by our side and to hear the mysterious wolf that howls to the moon at night? Isn't it all of us that want to see our families laugh, our kids to grow old and watch their children play in our garden's green grass? Dear politicians, Who has taught you that green paper with printed numbers is worth more than the world we all need to exist? Who has taught you that power is worth more than freshwater in your throat or the touch of a lover you don't want to miss ? Who has stolen the compassion and love from your soul? Who has detached you that far from our all home? Dear politicians, It is time to accept. It is time to wake up and care for the glacier's cracks. It is time to not shy away and to listen to the refugees' screams in the sea. It is time to talk about the fires that eat up the world's lungs which keep our vital air to breathe clean. This is not anymore about our wallets or someone being the enemy you want to see. Another poem, another throwback to France xx - Wandering - We wander through life, Our lids wide open, But it seems as if most eyes can't see. We look around and search for a sign, but often it feels as if nobody can feel what I feel. We talk about things. We think about stuff. But the substance of the truth mainly stays untouched. But darling! Don’t cry. There is more than hope under this sky. There are souls out there - Spirits in humans that shine through one's skin and illuminate the air. There are eyes that can see, and hands that know how to truly touch. There are moments of magic, and signs that it is worth it to trust the universe just that much. For years, coming back to Germany felt like putting back on a metal vest. I felt as if I couldn’t breathe. I felt as if I had to hide. For years, I ran from this feeling; I ran from this place; I ran from people and a part of myself. At some point, however, I had to admit to myself that it is not a place that brings you down; It is not people, that keep you from living your truth. It was me always. I had to learn how to accept myself, even though I felt so different from many others. I had to admit to myself that I am worthy of love and fulfillment, that my path is valid and that I am free. I had to step into my truth, unconditionally, and all of a sudden, a place couldn’t affect me just as much anymore.
