Oh my gosh. I've thought about this a few times. Here are my random ideas for fics I'll never start/finish:

I'd re-write Voltron Legendary Defender. Not the whole thing, but probably at least the final series.

I'd re-write series two of Sword Art Online. The whole thing. No explanation needed for that one.

I've always loved the idea of the Golden Age Arc of Berserk being adapted into a Shakespeare play.

What's the fic you would write if you had the energy for it? Ambitious, complex, novel-length—the fanfic you'd make if you could.

i'm very picky about tv shows, but my pickiness has only an incidental relationship to whether or not a show is "good". it needs to scratch a particular itch in my brain at the right moment. do i know what the right moment is? no. do i know what the itch is? also no. i can be relied upon to get instantly bored of 85% of tv shows and then turn the remaining 15% into a central facet of my personality for 3-5 business months and even i am incapable of predicting which one it'll be ahead of time.

Forever gone

On Monday, I was feeling really sad after finishing FFXVI. Really sad and lost.

"It's just a game" I hear you say.

When I was playing through the last few hours, my chest was in pain from the amount of crying I was doing.

"Wait... Clive dies?" I said to myself, watching this character lie on a beach, looking up at the moon.

I honestly thought that at least part of the ending would be happy.

But no. It didn't just make me sad - it destroyed me.

A day after finishing the game, I stood in my bathroom and sang a song that had flown in from nowhere. Sometimes this happens to me - when I have too many feelings inside, it turns into a melody. Sometimes I catch it, manage to remember, and write down the lyrics.

This was not one of those times. As soon as I began to sing, I forgot it. It felt like it was the most beautiful thing I'd ever sang. And just as quickly as it arrived, it was gone. Completely.

And that also made me sad. I'll never know what that song was. That incredible, raw feeling that I for a second made real and turned into something.

You can’t deserve a person’s love. You’ll drive yourself crazy thinking like that. They either love you, or they don’t. That doesn’t mean you weren’t good enough for them to love you, because love isn’t something you earn by being good enough. It isn’t something that can be quantified or doled out. Don’t blame yourself for not being loved how you need to, just teach yourself how to look for love where love lives.
