I am inexcusably late in posting this, but here’s one of the pieces I made for @thebrimmingheart (winterkill)’s fic Impossible to Follow! It’s a wonderful AU in which Stede is a romance novelist who embarks on an uncharacteristically adventurous and daring journey when he receives a ransom note for Mary, his ex-wife. It has brilliant dialogue, fun ’80s vibes, and heart-wrenchingly amazing characterization and character development!!! I would highly recommend it to anyone in search of a funny yet emotional OFMD fic!!

When I first read this scene I knew I wanted to draw a little comic based on it because I could just visualize every aspect of it – the morning light, the little kitchen, Stede’s nervousness and the tentative first steps of his and Ed’s relationship – ugh it’s so good! I wish I could do it justice and of course tumblr is gonna ruin the image quality so please click on it and enlarge bc it’s drawn for A4 size paper lmao
