“Rest” – 1st studio exhbition In 2022 I made an exhibition situated in my studio in Košice. Artworks included: - central installation called "Rest" (2021) - 5 from the series of 7 objects called Anonymous (2018 - 2019)  "In the exhibition project, entitled "Rest", I respond to the past and ongoing refugee crisis and to the predicted high increase of similar problems in the future, caused by aggressive political power claims, as well as by the global climate crisis and the expected conditions of an increasingly large part of the Earth's surface becoming unsuitable for life. I also reflect to the inattention or indifference with which we as humanity, in still dominant measure, approach the topic of ecology, but also at the level of individuals - to our own participation in damaging the environment. Last but not least, I also ask myself (even instinctively) repressed, extremely important questions (even more insistently in connection with the ongoing war conflict in Ukraine): How could we be sure that even our conditions for life would not deteriorate so much that we will be forced to flee to survive? Will we have somewhere to run? Will we be welcome there? Will we still find peace and rest in our lives? Are we acting in a way to deserve it at all?" "I love folklore."
2012 - 2019
installation - mixed media - silicone, epoxy, plaster, polyurethane elastomer, artificial flowers, dead pheasants, salt, vermicompost, polystyrene, ceramic and metal readymade components and other installation views from the same name exhibition in 2019 in Kosice, Slovakia
The exhibition "I love folklore" reacts in a broader context to the escalating situation in the area of Slovak republic in recent years, referring to the growing social radicalization characterised by a rise in extreme nationalism, accompanied by racist, xenophobic and anti-multicultural attitudes. In parallel, (what is claimed to be) traditional folklore is increasingly infiltrated into popular culture and everyday life, too often in such a manner that degenerates it into a mere kitschy slave, used for economical and political purposes. The sentence "I love folklore." is hollowed, folk elements are kidnapped and unwittingly mistaken, while the nationalists' chests are proudly beaten and "multiculturalism" is hatefully spat in the same breath. Social tension, hatred and fear even reach the point, where having a different nationality, culture or physiognomy may lead to a physical assault of an individual. All this is happening ahead of huge challenges which brings the Anthropocene to mankind as a whole.
