The fucking audacity of some people to say "well, you can still use the internet so it's not all bad for you!" while I'm literally in Myanmar.

I'm sorry, you, a person who literally lives thousands of miles away from me KNOW and can DECIDE the amount of psychological trauma I've endured??? And you know that from how much internet I can still use?

In Myanmar, people literally take videos of their home being burned down by the military junta. They take videos and pictures of explosions, gunshots etc etc because the fucking dictator doesn't care. They know for sure other people from other countries don't care so they don't even bother cutting the internet off in some cities anymore. They kidnap children so that parents can't run away and we have tons of evidence and they can do nothing. If you go on tiktok and you can see those who fucking killers waving stuff like guns and uniforms around, talking in Burmese about their victories (ie how they kill villagers and childrens). I live in fear of talking back to anyone. I can't stand up for myself because if I get reported I'll get thrown into jail. Do you know they get rotten rice in jail? Or that their drinking water is infested with mosquito larvae? Well, it's alright! Because people who get sick will just be locked in solitary confinement until they die or they get better. So, I don't have to fear about anything right? It's not like I have to live in a state of perpetual fear. I can just delude myself into thinking I'm ONLY in danger. It's not an actual danger since I can still use the internet. Sure.

What the military dictators want is for everyone to "act normal" so they aren't gonna close down banks or cut internet in big cities where they can get fucking money, you fucking idiot. That doesn't mean there's no oppression or injustice happening where I live. It just means they like to pretend there's nothing so fucking knuckleheads like you can go "oh well, there's nothing wrong with this" and move on with your life while WE suffer in silence.

Anyways, if you think I'm "not actually going through anything" or "if they can use internet they must still be in a good place" fuck your performative activism, your performative allyship. I hope everyday you live will strip away those lies of yours until you can't say "I care for other people" without you and everyone around you knowing that you're a fucking liar.

Notes for those who actually care: Half of Myanmar is a literal war zone right now. We can use your help. There are many internally displaced people and moreover, there are many revolutionaries fighting for our future in Myanmar. Ask around in your community because Burmese people are literally everywhere. A lot of people had to run away because it's not safe to live here so you can find Burmese people everywhere. You can donate no matter where you live. Minimum wage here is around $1.1 per day (now in april 2024) so even if you donate a single dollar, you can feed someone in a war zone. Or feed people in prison because the sum of prisoners is only increasing per day.

Honestky,there is a user that is like snow owl oddities. And that person is called ximenita83 also goes by whitey. Ximenita is a Twitter artist who has great talent but it is wasted. Why wasted?
