I so wish it was easier to configure the interiors of SVE, I adore the ones you and your modding partner make!!!! But I don’t feel smart enough to understand how to delete and replace the right files or lines of code to make it fit in, but maybe if I can find a way to use mods in ‘batches’ so to speak for different types of playthroughs, I can experience these too when I get a computer able to run as many as I want to have XD

Hello, I know it has been frustrating for players to find compatibility with other modder's work.

To answer your question, if I wanted to use our interior map of George and Evelyn's house in a game with a mod that may be targeting the same map, I would open the files of mod I didn't want to use and delete their "map" of JoshHouse either as a tmx or tbin file and look in their code for something like this:

"Action": "EditMap",

"When": {"Season": "Fall"}, (this map may have several "when" statements. Look at our mods to see how often we target the same original map and the parameters of when it will be changed. For seasonal changes, we target the map to be replaced with the correct one by seasons. If there is no when, then it always replaces the map with new one.)

"Target": "Maps/JoshHouse",

"FromFile": "assets/JoshHouseFallFix1_6"

The code above targets JoshHouse (original name for Alex so it is Alex's home) to change in the Fall to the new map from our file in our assets folder. Delete all code that targets editing the same map as the target of the new mod, so they don't conflict.

We save all our maps as .tmx files and our content with content patcher using JSON. ConcernedApe saves maps as .tbins and data as xnb files. Wiki instructions for modders tells us not to save our data in the same format as ConcernedApe. Sometimes when taking out a major mod overhaul, it may be necessary to backup all your saves and mods and redownload the entire game because mods saved as tbins and xnbs can actually overwrite the data in your original game.

Remember Your Grandpa Mod Idea

Working on Immersive NPC Phone Calls mod, and when I got to Evelyn's phone calls, I started remembering my grandmother's stories of the olden days when she was a child. And Lilac and I have been brainstorming an idea for a mod that features Evelyn and George reminiscing about their childhood and teenage years growing up with the farmer's grandparents.

My grandparents were farmers during the Great Depression of the U.S. And my grandmother would tell me all kinds of stories about their parents and grandparents and aunts and uncles about how life was between 1890-1930. Her father built shrimp boats and her grandmother used to hand make fishing nets out of old parachutes.

Lilac and I would like to see a mod where the farmer is more of a part of a community. And where the farmer feels more of a connection to her grandfather. And where the farmer hears stories of the olden days where people sat on their front porches and the kids built forts in the woods.

Willie could talk about remembering his grandparents, etc.

This mod would not be started until I finish my Vampire Sebastian mod. But I will start collecting authentic anecdotes about how life was like for a poor farmer in the South of the U.S. to help the farmer remember his or her roots.

Vampire Sebastian and Werewolf Sam Notice (Future SDV Mods)

Hey, guys! Just wanted to say that right now, I'm currently working on a Werewolf Sam NPC Overhaul mod to fit with my Werewolf Sam Sprite!

I will definitely try to release his werewolf portraits before making this huge overhaul. But I just wanted to let you know that I'm in the middle of changing his dialogue. Then, I'll move on to custom heart events!

I've had this vision of Sam being a werewolf for the past year, so I'm excited to finally start working on it! And I'll definitely post pictures as I go.

Basically, I was thinking of also turning Kent and Vincent into werewolves to fit with the story. Sam is hiding out in Stardew Valley as a werewolf since most "humans" wouldn't understand him.

I plan to also add suspense and mystery to the mod.

I modeled his spiky hair after the original Sebastian design made by ConcernedApe.

Hello! I’m sorry if this is a rude question but why did you remove your mods from Nexus? I just found out and I was a bit confused, if it’s a personal preference you don’t have to explain but still thank you for keeping them available for us!!!!

Thank you for getting back to me!!! I'm so happy you enjoy my mods. Since I am a full-time author, modding is a hobby for me. And maintaining them on Nexus after the 1.6 update was becoming too time-consuming. So, I needed all my work in one place.

Thank you so much for reaching out to me. From now on, I'll be posting all my mods on Tumblr and Patreon (P.S. I will never charge for my mods. They will always be free!).
