Psst hey!! Over here!
Fic writers and original story writers are the same!
Writing fanfics doesn't make you any less of a writer!
Yall are just gatekeepers. Stop being assholes. There's room for everyone!

Hi, i am trying to connect with other authors on different platforms, but I am kind of scared to message them or approach them.
but I really really want to make some writing buddies but a part of my anxiety jumps in. I would be glad if someone could give me some tips on what to do. 😭😭😭

Writing about a young kind girl who only wanted to help people with her magic, a person treated like scum in her family who found joy in helping others. Who found her comfort in their comfort.
Only to get drunk on the feeling and gradually lose herself to it, to the power that comes with being worshiped, the authority that comes when playing god. The taste of being someone desired by all when you have always been treated like a festering sore.
Slowly losing the sense of reality when all you can see is power and people who would bow to you if you offered them a fraction of your capabilities. To be treated like a threat, like another kind of festering sore.

How do you feel about the use of AI as a tool for writers? Not to make the writing for us, of course, but to ask for prompts or "chat" about plot points where you're stuck.
Friends are nice. If you can find some human ones. That's how Terry Pratchett and I became friends. He'd call me up when he wanted to chat about plot points when he got stuck.

A GOD IS A GOD, AS LONG AS SOMEONE BELIEVES IN THEM...
An ancient god, isolated by all and believed only by one.
One person, whom they had met decades ago, a small child who believed in the divine being, the only one whose unrelenting belief had been keeping the god alive.
But now as they meet, they look at each other with familiarity. Only for the god to get weaker as they spend time together.
The more the person looks at them, the more they seem human. The more they talk, the illusion of divinity fades away, the persona of sacredness morphs into something melancholic.
In the end, the god lay in the arms of the human, dying. Because god is a god, as long as someone believes in them, as a god.

Rereading my work
And realized that my characters confess their feelings in chapter 29 and kiss in chapter 33. And the following 30 chapters are reasons why they should not love each other. (they still fall heads over heel for each other)

And the rereads and rewrites begin. Might get more and more unhinged as I plow my manuscript, but hey, that’s the charm of writing isn’t it.

Guys, what do you do after you have finished your manuscript and cant revisit it because it needs to marinate for a while. Do you start something new? Do something old? watch a movie?

Hey there! Random Writer Question: How do/would you write fight sequences?
Hey. Fight scenes are quite tricky to write so a few things that help me out are
Research: as weird as it sounds, I try to find scenes from movies or animes that match the scenes I'm writing (for example, war battle, or one on one fight). this helps me work out a rough image in my head.
Music: themed music that matches the vibes helps the imagination. usually, the ones that have a lot of buildup and theatrical themes.
just sitting and imagining: sometimes when I can't work a scene out, I'll place my hands on my eyes and imagine the whole sequence like I'm watching a movie. it often clears things up without the hiccup of writing as you imagine.
Charting (this is for scenes with multiple people): this is like a visual guide if you prefer having a visual image of the scene before writing. I would use a sheet as the ground where they are fighting and mark important places in the setting. Then use anything as my characters(chess pieces, bottle caps, legos). I move them around as the scene progresses, this helps keep me keep track of I have many people fighting or the people fighting are shifting locations.
Reading: it's as simple as it is, pick a book with a fighting sequence and read it. It helps translate the scenes in your head into words.
These are the things I use often when I'm writing fight scenes, and most often they work very very well. I hope this helps you out.
