I Love IVE songs, even though lot of them are superficial, but I really enjoy listening to it, they are catchy & fun for me. I have listened to their new album few times, and even though Baddie and Off the Record is good, but my very personal & most favorite released of them yet is "Either Way". I would play the song on repeat for hours then get so immersed and be mellow so I stopped listening in heavy mode lol. The story for the song is great, quite rare for them to have a song with story like this. It feels very humane in which we get to see that they too are fragile, they have their weaknesses and how the public eyes and words do hurt them too, even though they would wear it toughly. Just found out that they got SWJA on the demo for this song and I think they beautifully & perfectly captured the emotions, and I think their delivery is real great and it got the haunting feeling as one would get when they listened to SWJA's voice.

Even yesterday when I went to a Shopping Mall, they would play this song then play another song and back to play this song again, because it is that great!

Suddenly I am catapulted back to this BIGBANG Era which I really love...

This specific song just keep on playing in my head so I visited their performances video and played album on repeat too.

I was internally musing how grateful and magical it is to have a band/group that you love doing comeback after having more than 1 year passed since their last released because we won't know whether we will get another new releases after it.

I will be 30 in about 6 months, and I read that people mostly would get musical paralysis when you hit 30, when you feel exhausted to search for new fun music and settle with listening to music that you love and you know since your teens.

Well, life happens.

NEW FAVORITE: IKOKU NIKKI

I just finished reading this beautiful slice of life manga, a real gem among so many of them. It gotten real hard for me to be able to find gem like this. This one feels like reading fairytale story in my youth and how at the last page there will be "moral of the story" in one or two short sentence and it always feel mind blown for me. I feel very soothed after finishing this.

Diary of a strange land or also called Journal with Witch told the story of how Asa, a junior in High School lost both of her parents suddenly to a car accident. Her estranged aunt, (the little sister of her mom) Makio, offered to take her in and so began their journey of living together. They learned about what it means of being a family is, dealing with words, feeling, and emotions. They found each other as strange, due to how they normally go with their daily things and their point of view of things quite differ from each other.

Makio suggested that Asa started a journal where she could write down everything she wants and how she could even writes some things that are not even real, hoping that she could unload her grief and other emotions down, and we could read bit of what she wrote there. Their dialogue, or sometimes internal soliloquy is beautiful, I love how the words make me feel. I will post some of them after tidying it up if I feel it though.

I am ecstatic after finding out that they will make a movie after this manga, and how the author will also be the screenwriter. I hope it turns out great.

ENJOYED THE DELIGHTFULLY DECEITFUL

One Kim Dongwook after another Kim Dongwook. This is the drama I watched right after finishing My Perfect Stranger. I also love Chun Woo Hee’s performance ever since I watched Be Melodramatic and it was one of my most favorite drama ever. Actually I was not looking for a complicated drama so I was doing other things while watching the drama but then I got hooked. They really were building the climax as things get to the end. 

I was completely clueless to who the president is, even though when I got first glimpse of his character I know that he is so suspicious lol. Every characters got their time to shine and I really love it. Maybe because of how fast the story is going or because there were quite a lot of them, the way the characters doing things were kind of tasteless and robotic for me, maybe because the director or the writer feels rushed. 

These are the actors that makes this drama interesting. I love how they act and I love seeing new faces like Yoo Hee Je and Lee Yeon, I will find another works of them and watch If I got interested in the topic. This is the second time Yoon Park works together with Kim Dongwook since You are My Spring, and I love seeing familiar set in a new drama lol. I also being giddy with Sojin(of Girl’s Day), I’ve seen her on My Sh**ting Star and the characters that she played always shining.

I don’t expect them speaking about sympathy-empathy values and of giving other chances and trying to trust others too as the end note though. It was amazing how Kim Dong Wook got 2 dramas released in the same month and it was great how the two of them got good results.

FINISH WATCHING: MY PERFECT STRANGER

I diligently watched this drama almost every week, usually I watched 2 episode one session with 2x speed lol. Now that I feel my age, watching dramas and reading comic is tiring even just thinking about it. I love love the casts, Kim Dongwook is easily a favorite actor of mine, I love how he constantly playing in this romance drama imbued with thriller in it, and usually it is a Hit (with me at the very least).

Though I think this drama is less interesting than its predecessor, but on the positive side, I think this one is more light to watch than others before it.

So Yoon Haejun and Baek Yoonyoung, accidentally went back to the past using this time machine in the form of red retro car and busted the car & cannot back to the time they originally live. They tried to solved this serial murder case in which Yoonyoung’s mother fell victim for and how Haejun also murdered in the future by the same killer. Actually the romance plot literally just a sheer fog, it is there but barely, though one thing that I like is how Kim Dongwook always act gentlemanly to his counterpart. 

I also love how we need to be suspicious of everyone until episode 14, th en turned out that the actual killer has been under our nose all this time, though till end I don’t really get why he got to be the killer, there is no solid reasoning and undeniable items or other proof that hinted along, so I am not convinced still, about the real murderer. 

You should watch it as the 14 episodes is really worth it and thrilling it is peaking your curiosity! but the way they wrapped up the drama pushing it all onto the killer character is very unsatisfactory for me.

TUMBLR IS ONLY GOOD ON DESKTOP SITE

I’ve installed tumblr app across gadgets that I own, but in the end the desktop site version triumphs all the other. It was hard, how when I tried posting quotes post in the mobile apps, it counted as usual text post when I open it in the desktop/web version of it. Some days I would post things on this site continuously but most of the time I would hardly lol. I also find out that uploading stories on IG is so much easier than posting on feed, It really required different drive and energy, and I find it really hard to post things up lol.

I WATCHED: LOVE IS FOR SUCKERS

On the first glance the main cast seems promising, we are in for treat with Si Won and Lee Da Hee as a couple are triumphing in visual aspect.

Yet the writer seems very cruel to this main couple. Maybe the writer suffered from traumatic events and goes kind of sociopathic when writing its characters. They really give a new definition to almost almost. Han Yeorum (Lee Da Hee) was burn in terms of romance while Park Jaehoon (Siwon) is burned on career & family aspect. I don't really get whether it is important to give these characters such bitter story but we could wrap it up in C'est La vie I think.

This was based off on "Friend turned Lover" cliche path and it mainly happened in the process of shooting this Love Reality Show called Love Kingdom S2. After a failed wedding, Jaehoon finally realized the depth of his feeling for his best friend, Yeorum. He took his time and finally confessed his love to her asking to be more than friends with her. Yeorum though, after a very bad rollercoaster love decided that It would be best that they remained as a friend, afraid of losing a confidant and reliable friend. As time progressed, I find their conversations lose it depths, it has become cheesy for me, and we are given lacking progression that lead to them becoming couple. The way the story evolved is how Yeorum want to be with Jaehoon is kind of cringe too. She realized she like him as more than friend after she rejected him, Jaehoon said that he will put his all to Ji Yeon, who clearly taken a liking to him, now that she has rejected him. Seeing how sweet he was to Jiyeon, Yeorum kind of getting itchy in her skin and finally told him she wants to be with him, which is really childish and mind-boggling.

For me, the only good thing they do is how they tied it up stories while ending the drama.

Much to my surprise, my favorite love line is Park Ji Wan ( a chubby but celebrated webtoonist that kind of naive) with the Playboy Chef John Jang.

I also love how the powerless Han Ji Yeon finally got to meet someone who can see her best quality and not taking it for granted, it really did relieve the knots I have while watching this drama.

I think this is a good watch only when you need something casual to binge on or some noises to accompany you in the back while you are working. I wouldn't recommend others to watch it but I am able to enjoy it till the end due to the clean ending they provide.
