23 days of no contact... 23 days without her voice... how long will it take.. before I realize all of my mistakes.. before I notice she's raised the stakes, the stakes for what, a poker game? No, but a game of love, a game of hearts, where the only queen in the deck is the queen of hearts. We've all played the game, the game of life, some live and some die, but hey, it's okay, right? That's just a part of this sick game called life. We go about it mindlessly, making opinions, getting offended, deciding what's wrong or right, deciding who's to blame for one problem or the next... both parties want the same thing but are to blinded to see, to work towards their common goal, a million deaths covered up, a million dollars go to waste, a million stars in the sky, can't compare to all the hate, the hate of what, the hate of race, what race but the human race, we hate each other, we war over patches of soil, some say it's for oil, other's say it's because of terror, but I know what it's like to never fall asleep at night, 23 days of no light, 23 days of black and white, 23 days of no remorse, no emotion, no provocation to do what's right, 23 days, 23 months, 23 years, all to hate, to hate what, myself or the system, no, 23 days to mark the end, the end of a conversation, the start of counting out the days since she and I decided to create, create a game, no, to create a conversation of 23 words adding up to 23 syllables, 23 words in 23 sentences, 23 sentences for 23 paragraphs, 23 paragraphs for 23 pages, 23 pages for a book that has 23 chapters, but it's not necessarily a book of life, a book of struggles and strife, a book of modern day issues, but rather a book of conversations, that lasted for 23 days, 23 hours, 23 minutes, 23 seconds, all in all the number keeps repeating, I wonder if her heart is still beating for me, that goddamn number of 23... I miss her so much I keep cutting and bleeding, did she break up with me, no, she just won't talk to me anymore, it's been 23 days since last reading, reading her messages of how she wants to be with me... 23... that's how long it's been, it's the number that keeps repeating... 23... 23 days...
